secretly headcannoning that in the beginning lisanna and lucy secretly disliked and envied eachother because of natsu. lisanna was upset about how, to her, it seemed like lucy had replaced her in every way. happy see’s her as a mother even though lisanna helped raise him, natsu is her best friend and spends every second with her and is secretly in love with her, and the three of them go on jobs just like the three of them used to do. she hated that because natsu now had lucy in his life he never bothered to rekindle the close relationship they had prior.

whereas lucy was jealous of lisanna because in lucys head natsu has never showed her any signs of being in love with her, however everyone in the guild also talks about how natsu so obviously used to have a crush on lisanna and how they raised happy together and how they used to play fake married couple together. not to mention she hated how everyone compared her to lisanna before she returned home.

so one day they both decide to pull eachother aside and tell eachother the truth, only to find they both felt the same and giggle about it before crying together and apologising and admitting their present, for lucy, and past, for lisanna, feelings of love for natsu. lisanna admits she doesnt actually mind not being as close with natsu anymore because she’s heard the stories from everyone about how much natsu has changed for the better since meeting lucy and she can finally see how happy she makes him. lucy admits she considered quitting team natsu because she never wanted lisanna to dislike her or feel like she could ever replace her and wanted lisanna to have her old spot back in their team. and over the hours they spend chatting, crying and apologising they end up learning things about eachother no one else knows and end up accidentally finding “sisters from another mister” ‘s in eachother and become the best of friends.

lisanna gossips to lucy about all the embarrassing stories she has against natsu when they were younger so she can use them against him when hes annoying her. and lucy goes to lisanna when shes struggling with her secret feelings for natsu and needs help navigating them.

anyway if u hate lisanna because of her past relationship with natsu i hate u, bye bye xxx

I've talked a bit about my lis hcs before and her dynamic with her siblings but she just has like SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!

Like ok let's just get into it

First up, as much as I loved Lucy Ashley in edolas and how she had a really fun dynamic with the trio i just,,,,

like no everyone stop I have so many thoughts about lifetime in edolas

Ur telling me she was the only one who knew about the existence of earthland and she DIDNT SPEAK UP??? LIKE GIRLIE THIS IS UR MOMENT HELLO??

Even if she tried to pull the like "this is my home now" shit I just think it would have been so fun to watch her have this weird dynamic with natsu where she knows exactly what's happening and is trying to lead them both to safety and save earthland fairy tail

PLUS seeing how she interacts with lucy for the first time?? Make them friends??? Please???? I'm on my hands and knees

Edolas high key needs a lot of work when fitting into the overall narrative because as a solo thing it's really fun but raises so many questions for no reason just ugh weird

It could have been cool if lis didn't immediately speak up but in order to defend the guild or save natsu and lucy she had to get one of those pill things to restore her magic so she could defend them and it was this big dramatic reveal rather than, what to me felt lime an after thought

I want full side plots and stories dedicated to lis relearning how to interact with the guild once she's back in earthland. She got so use to them acting a certain way like it takes her a while to unlearn it.

Like in my mind lis is very good friends with all the guild members because she floats around and stays back at the guild alot with mira at first but she truly has to pause when she goes to yell at levy when something breaks Meanwhile levy is just sitting peacefully reading a book like-

Plot wise I want her to force natsu to confront his past and his hard-core attachment issues because when she gets back he literally can't process that she is back so he keeps their interactions very light and short and it hurts lis so much but he's just so unconsciously afraid that once he embraces that's she's back she's going to evaporate because the world hates him fr

And then lucy and juvia and lis I feel all have this weird little club of like, ppl who joined the guild in the past 5 years and loves everyone very much however all these people grew up together and are basically a hivemind and it's hard not to feel left out sometimes

Bc again, even tho lis grew up there and has her siblings, she's literally labeled as the dead girl so she's very isolated at first, especially with how overprotective her siblings become, so lucy and juvia r the only ones who don't treat her that way because they didn't know her before she died

Anyway later in the story I want her to go back to being a full time wizard and taking on jobs whoever needs it since, again she has a dynamic with everyone so she doesn't commit to a team really and just floats around providing support on jobs she thinks ppl can use a hand on, and again it's just more vignettes of her relearning her guildmates and I'm crying thank u for coming to my Ted talk

incoming hot take/rant about natsu and his romantic pairings and his understanding of love

gonna say something thats gonna get me in trouble

natsu has more objectively romantic moments (and i would even dare to say romantic chemistry) with lisanna than lucy.

now, with that being said, i like n*lu more than i like n*li (i do still like n*li tho. dont know why pol hate it sm. its cute!). but like. on a romantic level, natsu has veryyyyy little moments w lucy. he has way more emotional, powerful, and deep moments with lucy. but they’re not romantic.

but as its been shown especially in 100 yq, natsu doesnt really have a grasp on romantic love. he doesn’t get flustered or blush around lucy (for the most part), he doesn’t understand that lucy clearly has romantic feelings for him, and i think the most obvious piece of evidence of this is in 100 yq when that lady (please forgive me i rly have a hard time keeping up w all the villains) cast that spell that made snow dolls out of “the woman held closest in ur heart” or whatever. for gray, just juvia appeared. for natsu, literally every girl in ft appeared.

i just feel like even in the very small moments natsu and lisanna have, and as insignificant as they are in recent ft, natsu always seems a little nervous/shy. at least in old ft. now, its also very obvious that these moments of awkward natsu who may or may not have a crush on lisanna are waaaaaay less frequent now. but in the very beginning of ft when we first learn ab lisanna was literally the most romantic interaction ive seen natsu have with anyone. and i would argue this is the most romantic interaction his character has EVER had. in the whole series.

now, im not an idiot. i know nalu will be end game. as they should be!!! they have arguably the strongest bond of literally anyone in the whole show. u cannot deny their insane compatibility and how they just make sense! i also know that natsu loves lucy more than ANYONE (ok maybe other than happy. theyre prob tied). but i think natsu doesn’t differentiate this from romantic love. YET.

i think something will definitely go down where natsu has this huge revelation that he not only loves lucy but is IN love with her.

but for right now, the most romantic interest natsu has expressed with another person is lisanna. im standing by that.

there should also be something said for the fact i feel like mashima dumbed natsu down over the years???? like in the beginning he was playful, optimistic, brash, and fun loving. i think he is still all of these things but mashima has steadily made natsu less and less understanding of social queues and more socially unaware. idk if that makes sense.

^but i feel like if u asked ep 1 natsu the difference between love and romantic love, he would be able to tell u. now, i dont think he understands the difference. i do think this will change, but for rn thats how i see it.

anyways blah blah blah. to end this senseless rant, lisanna should have stayed dead. bringing her back to life was one of the DUMBEST things ft ever did. not even bc i like n*lu better than n*li. but bc the significance that lisanna had for natsu and what she meant for his character completelyyyyy went away. his childhood gf came back from the dead and he literally could not give less of a fuck about her now lmao. its so bizarre.

           it’ll be years later. his eyes slowly drift open and he hears clem’s soft breathing next to him, the ceiling of their shared space greeting down at him for another day at a job that he doesn’t hate (which is more than enough at this point). soft but hurried thumping that should’ve put him on edge only has him curious and he peers over to the door, where teddy peeks in to ask what was for breakfast and that, yeah, he doesn’t know where his homework went so he needs help stat.

let’s start with the dance, even though i’ll be replying and posting more threads as long as they exist hehe

drew dances a lot and drinks just a bit more and he gets a lil tipsy but not to the point where he's like awful the next morning

goes to bed w clem who might have to wake him up the next morning bc it’s the graduation ceremony and he needs to be there for obvious reasons

GRAD CEREMONY! he flashes a big grin to the audience after he gets his diploma and insists he takes pictures with all his friends because he’s sentimental and would love to have something to take with him, wherever he’s going

his fam meets clem and it goes better than he predicted, even if him and his mom are still kinda not in good terms

at some point after the ceremony, he is pulled aside by lisanna, who has brought a friend who is a recruiter from Lexon Corp

the recruiter even goes as far as introducing himself to drew's family, who plays along with the masquerade of drew being asked to interview for a translator job (lisanna prompted him, because she knows that drew’s family isn’t part of the life)

his parents seem impressed, so does his siblings. though drew has a stinking feeling that the twins are hiding something from him.

drew asks them if they’re staying in d.c. or whatnot and their parents reveal that one of drew's friends is paying for their one-week stay in d.c.

the leung fam takes this opportunity to sightsee and be tourists for like a week hehe

drew and clem meet up with drew's friend from high school, fiona chu-pederson, in some fancy d.c. cafe. fiona is a lobbyist in washington and comes from a wealthy family. she confirms that she did pay for drew's family to stay in d.c  because she wants to see/hear abt where drew is going next. also gives him a grad gift (which the sanfransquad signs off on)

also she's a lil nosy and wants to know abt drew's love life so surprise surprise she'll def be interested in talking to clem hehe

while fiona isn't part of the spy life, she does have some connections that informed her of a rumor that a man named andrew leung may have killed another man named shen lon in san francisco, ca

while drew and clem know this to be true, fiona is still waiting for confirmation

when drew confirms it, fiona just nods n is quiet for a few minutes

"can’t say i blame you. i honestly would’ve done the same thing, even if i don’t know the first thing about hurting somebody."

she then asks drew again what he’s gonna do, drew tells her abt Lexon Corp and his interview and all that.

"should i pay for your family to stay here longer or no? i imagine you’d be busy."

"nah, let them go home. i do need to find a place soon. somewhere good."

not gonna lie. For practical reasons it might be better if teddy stays in san fran but drew is relentless and really wants his son back SO he'll get a place in d.c. and will just travel back n forth for Lexon Corp stuff

fiona will pitch in with watching teddy and so will the rest of the sanfransquad who comes into town. the one that stays the longest is winston, bc he just has online class for the summer.

basically it all works out, even with Lexon Corp.

near the end of the summer, the twins come to d.c. with more bags than what drew is anticipating

"don’t tell me u guys are moving in here too?”

the twins look at each other and both shake their heads

-Recap, Having discovered that Elizabelle has been attacked and captured by something, the group heads out to find and rescue her, but everything is not as it seems, as our heroes will discover.-

[Creepy Instrumental plays] The Cossacks, Maverick,s and EQG Mane seven followed Macy-Mae. Once they caught up to her,however, they were speechless by what they were seeing. Macy-Mae approached a grimm creature, her tail wagging quickly. However, Dark Mantis quickly scooped up the weiner dog. With Mavy-Mae whining and squirming.

Dark Mantis stated, “Calm down, calm down.”

Fluttershy shuttered in fear, “That can’t be right, there’s no way…”

Rarity whimpered slightly, “T-that’s the monster from the theater!” The Creature was lying down resting, an eerie air was felt.

Burn Rooster scowled with a fist, “That thing has Belle somewhere, and we’re gonna find out.” The Creature opened its eyes, barring its teeth, with Elizabelle’s hair bow clenched in it’s teeth. With Magma Dragoon growing angered, and preparing his Flames.

Pharaoh Man prepared his buster and stated, “Listen here Beast, you will tell us what you have done with Elizabelle, if you refuse,”

Storm Eagle chimed in, “We’ll have no choice but to destroy you.” The Creature appeared to freeze upon hearing Elizabelle’s name, it’s expression changing. Much to the Cossacks, Mavericks, and EQG Mane seven’s surprise.

[Creppy instrumental stops, and is replaced by “Dreams of an Absolution”] Zera approached Lisanna, her smirk never leaving her face.

Zera spoke at last, “To be loved, you must have a more appealing form.” Lisanna grew confused, her head tilting side to side.

Lisanna soon wondered, “Ap-peal-ing form?” Zera sighed heavily and kneeled before Lisanna, looking at her with eyes that could shake even the most battle-hardened warriors. Scaring Lisanna and giving her chills through out her small grimm body.

Zera Elaborated, “You must look normal. No one will understand nor want you if they know.”

Lisanna gasped for air, but soon grew curious, “Look normal? How?” Zera pulled away, and pulled out a orange and magenta marbled jewel.

Zera stated, “With this.”(“Dreams of an Absolution abruptly stops)

[Sad Instramental begins] The Creature appeared to be, saddened.

Yammark’s key began to glow, she soon spoke up, “Guys, I think that’s-”

however, before anyone could approach, the creature suddenly lunged at Pharaoh Man. [Instrmental stops, and is replaced by intense Instramental] before the creature could tackle him, Magma Dragoon came in front of Pharaoh Man, his key glowing and him blocking the creature. His hands holding back the creature’s front limbs. The creature snapped and snarled at Magma Dragoon. The dragon maverick gagged slightly at the smell of the creature’s breath.

Soon the creature spoke in a weak, scratchy voice, “H...Help me…” Much to everyone’s confusion. The creature pulled away from Magma Dragoon, giving him the opening to push it away. The creature appeared to hunch over,black tears streaming from its eyes. It repeated once more, “H-help…. Me…” [Instramental stops, and is replaced by “Rescue Me”] Vanishing Gungaroo soon gulped but soon asked, “E-ellie?” The Creature looked up at the young kangaroo Maverick, a distorted whimper escaping its muzzle.

Zera smiled as she handed Lisanna a mirror. Lisanna looked at her reflection in surprise. She now was an anthro fox, like Zera, but had brown and dirty blonde fur, with silver locks, and beautiful magenta eyes. She looked up at Zera, her now normal magenta eyes full of wonder.

Lisanna asked, “Am I lovable now?” Zera smiled and rested a gentle hand on Lisanna’s shoulder.

Zera replied, “Yes, yes you are. But your old name won’t do. I’ll name you after my late daughter, Elizabelle. How’s that sound?” Lisanna smiled widely and hugged Zera.

She replied, “I love it, Mommy!”

[“Rescue Me” stops, and is replaced by “Dear Agony”]

Gravity Antonion questioned, “Elizabelle, is the creature?”

Drill Man chimed in, “I didn’t see that one coming.” Soon the creature began to roar and she stood up with her claws protruding out of her paws. Her black tears increasing. Her roar was deafening, Leading to everyone covering their ears and audio processors.

Once the roar ceased, and everyone lowered their hands, The creature soon bleated, “S-save m-me…” [“Dear Agony” abruptly stops] Soon all the Cossacks and Mavericks’ keys began to glow. They took each other’s hands. [Might + U begins playing]

Pharaoh man swore, “We will save you, we swear it!” Sunset Shimmer soon used her empathy magic to connect to the creature. With the Cossacks and Mavericks’ eyes turning white. [Might + U pauses]

Once everyone opened their eyes, they were in cavern like place, the walls and ground were made of goop, with red glowing blood drips.

Cyber Peacock was speechless, “T-this is Elizabelle’s mind?”

Burn Dinorex grimmanced slightly, “Not at all what I imagined.” Sunset Shimmer bit her lip as she looked around.

She stated, “It had to be all that darkness that messing with her head.” Wire Sponge trmebled in horror.

He whimpered, “Poor Ellie, trapped with all this scary stuff in her head.” Wind Crowrang sighed heavily, grabbing Ring man’s attention.

Ring Man soon asked, “Something the matter?”

Wind Crowrang looked at the orange robot master, and replied, “Why didn’t she tell us what was wrong? We could’ve helped her!” Sunset Shimmer soon saw what appeared to be shard of glass float by her, she grabbed it, and looked into it. With a appalled expression growing on her face.

Sunset Shimmer soon budded in, “Because she thought we’d hate her.” She soon approched the others and handed Wind Crowrang the shard, which was revealed to be a memory. Pharaoh man peered into it as well.

Pharaoh ManStated in disbelief,“Queen Zera, manipulated her?”

Spiral Pegasus soon shook his head, “Looks like she’s far from a saint.” Yammark soon turned her head and saw a teenage grimm female, sitting with her legs crossed, her head down, and black tears rolling down her face.

Yammark soon spoke up, “Elizabelle?” The Grimm lifted her head and turned toward Yammark.

She whimpered, “Y-Yammark?” Her voice grabbed the other’s attention. The group approached the Grimm.

Pharaoh Man questioned, “Are you, Lisanna Hensei?” Lisanna looked away, but nodded. [Might + U starts back up] soon shadowy chains wrapped around her wrists and ankles.

A voice echoed, “You didn’t listen Lisanna, and now, they know the truth, that you are a monster! Only I understand you, only I care for you!” Storm Eagle grew livid at the voice.

Storm Eagle shouted,“Bullshit! You’re the one who manipulated her into thinking she was a monster!” Soon a figure materialized in front of the group. It was Queen Zera. She scowled and grew angered.

She stated, “You’re cursed my dear, these robots have filled your head with all these ridiculous fantasies. Making you believe in friendship?” Lisanna whimpered at her words. However, she was embraced by Pharaoh Man.

Lisanna grew confused asking, “Why? Why do you care?” Pharaoh man pulled away after a bit. Boomer Kuwanger approached and kneeled next to Lisanna.

He responded, “You are our friend, Eli- er, Lisanna.” Zera scowled at the Cossacks and Mavericks.

She stated, “Don’t listen to their lies!”

Bright Man rested a hand on Lisanna’s shoulder, “We’re telling you the truth!”

Spiral Pegasus nodded in agreement, “He’s right you know.” Zera felt her influence on Lisanna weaken as each of the Cossacks and Mavericks spoke to Lisanna, till finally she faded away, screaming in anger. Soon everything turned white.

The Cossacks and Mavericks’ eyes returned to normal, with exhaustion overtaking them all. They all released hands and fell to their knees. Sunset Shimmer pulled away, Lisanna now in the creature's place. She opened her eyes and looked up. She teared up heavily upon realizing the freedom she gained.

She stated, “Thank you…” Pharaoh Man stood back up and approached Lisanna.

He replied, You’re very welcome. Just promise to no longer hide things from us.”

Lisanna hugged Pharah Man, “I promise.”

So, the Fairy Tail fandom is very toxic.

Like some of u aren’t but a big part of u are, and the blatant hate on some characters *cough* Lisanna *cough* makes it very hard to find enjoyable fics when I search for ‘em.

I’m not really into Fairy Tail anymore, but at one point I was (I still follow some incorrect quotes blogs, and look at some x-overs). And in that brief time that I was actually moving around in the fandom but not really doing anything, I came across multiple ppl complaining about the toxic part of the fandom.

Plot wise, I high key just need him interacting with more ppl than just levy and team natsu like I love those dynamics but he's literally so crazy let him have more friends

Of course the big one is more of a connection with juvia, I've already talks abt my juvia hcs and I still stand by her becoming really good friends with Lucy and later lisanna dude to the isolated feeling and the only reason I don't include gajeel in that is because he's so busy bonding with natsu and Wendy as fellow dragon slayers that the three of them immediately become this weird side family unit of siblings

But I digress, I want gajeel to really be the one looking out for juvia and hanging out with her when no one else will at first, like he doesn't mind being alone but he knows she very much hates being alone like that so he tries to at least sit with her even if they don't talk just solidarity

And even when he starts getting closer to team shadow gear and goes on jobs with them he will try and drag juvia with them if she's not doing anything and it's just sweet they r siblings

Another lil hc is that even tho he's not a part of team natsu he goes on jobs with them a lot because he wants to keep an eye on Wendy and natsu

Idk this turned into me explaining how gajeel is the most over protective sibling ever but will never admit it because if you call him out he will punch you

Weirdly I think he also has this solidarity thing with laxus later on? Like it starts as gajeel wanting a rematch to prove he can beat him and it just turns into a regularly scheduled sparing thing for whenever they have time and gajeel helps laxus forgive himself because gajeel has team shadow gear and the dragon slayers supporting him but laxus only has the thunder legion and he's still keeping them at arms length after everything so gajeel goes very tough love like r u stupid??? ok so. im taking this idea from @mika-milano bc their post was very well written, entertaining, and just a rly good idea. so check their post out!:) and thank u for the idea!

and now. a disclaimer.

so im 19 now. i started watching fairy tail when i was 14. this show has been very near and dear to me for a long time. it was one of the first anime i ever watched, and it has my favorite all time ship (gruvia ofc). also i would kind of be lying if i said that most of the reason i still keep up with the manga and show wasnt bc of gruvia. bc it is lol. but. it DEFINITELY has its flaws. and here r some of my opinions on them.

1. so much doesnt make sense

ok listen lol. i think we can all say that its kind of obvious when mashima hasnt thought things through or just pulls things out of his ass out of nowhere. i dont wanna go too in detail about this because if im being honest, there is a lot that i just flat out don't remember. what i can remember is that as the story continued to go on, things seemed to make less and less sense.

2. the best arc is the tower of heaven arc

wow ok. i cant really tell u why i love this arc so much. but i do. im not even a jerza or erza stan (i love them both, but like not my fav pairing or character by any means). but idk. something about this arc was so intriguing, intense, emotional, and just enjoyable to watch. seeing the depths of erza's background and her relationship with her past, jellal, natsu, and the rest of the guild was just amazing. idk why this arc sticks out so much to me, but it really does.

3. lisanna shouldve stayed dead

now this one isnt even bc i hate lisanna or anything. i like lisanna! i even like nali! (not as much as nalu but still). her death had such a great impact on her siblings, natsu, and the rest of the guild and watching them all have to grow past it was incredible (especially for mira and elfman!). and then they just brought her back. not only did they bring her back, but they brought her back for NO REASON! she just became another side character! when she came back to life she had no further impact on ANYTHING! and it made the whole "natsu's childhood love/bestfriend" thing seem so much less important and way more fake.

4. more ppl jus shouldve died overall

with this one im mostly just talking about makarov. but still. waaaay too much death bating. like they died and then magically came back to life. too much of it. felt like nothing was ever really at stake. im saying this but like if juvia had actually stayed dead i would have thrown a FIT lol

5. i wanted more of cana and gildarts

thats it. all i really have to say ab this one. they r cute and i wanted to see more<3

6. juvia is underrated

ok now i am SUPER fucking biased lmao. bc juvia is the BEST character in fairy tail imo. but like come on! she's beautiful, loving, smart, sweet, powerful, funny, badass! shes perfect! and shes waaaay stronger than everyone thinks she is smh. clearly she is the best choice to stan.

7. lucy is overrated

ok look. i like lucy! kind of! idk man shes smart and nice and cute but like. not as powerful as everyone thinks. she's definitely one of the most developed in terms of her strength FOR SURE but still. not very strong. and her character just aint for me:/ sorry!

8. levy should be a lot stronger than she's portrayed

it seems like for some reason since shes small that also means shes weak, but like, that just aint it. solid script magic should be really sick and she should kick ass way more than she does especially for how smart she is but no. mashima always makes her the helpless one:/ rly sad bc i like levy a lot and ik she could be way more badass.

9. the only ship that i rly just flat out hate is gr*ylu.

like nali? i like them! nerza? fine! grayza? also dont like and are second to gr*ylu but i mean i dont have a fiery hatred! lyvia? cool! gratsu? sure! all of them i can get behind in some way ahape or form but i just HATE gr*ylu. idk why i hate them so much but i just really do lol.

10. fairy tail's old animation was way better

while i do think every character got like way more attractive with the new animation, the rest is just bad. not nearly as pretty, crisp, consistent, or colorful. its just blah. sorry sis thats the tea.

Chapter 8

Well, if working around Erza had been difficult before, it was practically unbearable now.

“Gone nocturnal, huh?” Gray commented as he continued working on his sculpture. 

It was funny. As kids they could barely stand each other, as teens they hated each other, and as adults Lyon was willingly spending his free time hanging out with his brother.

Not that there were many other people he knew in the area - despite what he told Erza at the beginning of the summer, he hadn’t gone out of his way to get to know people outside of the bakery. What was the point? He was planning to leave in a little over a month anyway.

Summer was almost over, and plans hadn’t changed.

“It is quiet if I go in early.”

“And Erza isn’t there,” Gray observed, his eyes on the curve of wood he was sanding. “There’s early, and there’s keeping the owls company, Lyon.”

He could stutter out some excuses and deny everything. Gray would pretend to believe him and the subject would be dropped. But he was too weary to fight it.

“You said she was not my type,” Lyon accused quietly, without venom.

Gray reached for a can of lacquer and admitted bluntly, “I lied. She’s totally your type. Stubborn, socially awkward, proud, hardworking and genuine. But that’s not why I hooked you up with the job. Bro, I wish I had a picture of you at the beginning of the summer. You looked like crap before, all stressed and high-strung and pale as a snowman. You didn’t need a girlfriend; you needed some time to work on you and rest. Do you want me to talk to her for you?”

Before Lyon could answer, his phone buzzed. He almost ignored it, since it was mostly robocallers and scammers that had his number. But his previous job had conditioned him too well.

‘can u cum? emergen-c!!! :( :( :(’

Lyon’s lips pinched at the Freudian slip on Erza’s text but didn’t comment. He sincerely hoped auto-correct had struck again.

“You,” he pointed at Gray seriously, “Are not off the hook about tricking me. But we will speak later.”

Gray looked duly unimpressed. “Are you threatening me?”

“Promising. Be ready.”

Rushing over to the bakery, he wasn’t sure if he should brace himself for the entire place burned down to the ground or being out of whipped cream. Erza had a skewed sense of priorities sometimes.

So far, so good. No police. No fire trucks. No ambulance. Nothing amiss in the parking lot, which housed a number of customer cars. Heaving a sigh of relief, he pushed his way through the front doors and let out a slightly strangled scream of surprise. 

And tried to jump into Erza’s arms.

Lyon had never told anyone this, but he was terrified of dogs.

“Lyon?”

Fortunately for him, Erza’s reflexes were good, and she didn’t have those muscles for nothing. It wasn’t the most graceful of catches, but he didn’t splat on the floor into the clutches of the monster either.

He clung there for a good, long moment before Erza came to her senses and dropped him. If he hadn’t been focused on the beast, he might have heard some clicks of photographic evidence. Instead, he scrambled out of the animal’s reach as it clumsily lunged at him, tongue out and drool dribbling down it’s maw. Once safely behind the swing door of the counter, he subtly grabbed his chest and silently swore a string of words that would make any sailor proud.

“Wh-what is the emergency?” He tried for calm and collected. Several customers tittered at the effort but Erza was oblivious. She scooped up the dirty mutt, waving the monster around while it tried to slurp at her face.

“I found a puppy!”

“Hardly an emergency.”

She ignored his sarcasm, playing with the beast’s paws, “I need to take him to the vet. I bet his owner is so sad and missing him! Can you watch the front?”

If it would make the creature go away faster, he’d do the Hula. Of course, what came out of his mouth was an affirmative. The problem was, he’d never run the front. He didn’t know how to run cards or make the change drawer open on the register. And the espresso machine was a mystery. He might be the genius in the back, but Erza was the one that kept the front running smoothly.

It took some fumbling and a lot of trial and error but eventually he got the basics.

“Oh, you’re up front today. Where’s your girlfriend?”

Lyon glanced up at the next customer and was about to inform her that he didn’t have a girlfriend. Instead, his jaw clicked shut, and his brain reminded him to shut up. The woman was giving a wide smile, her manicured nails clicking lightly against the glass display, and there was a twinkle in her bright blue eyes. He studiously kept his gaze on her face because one glance told him her body was as gorgeous as her face, and while she might want the looks, he was a professional and a gentleman. Also, if she wasn’t a model, she should be.

She leaned forward to peer past him then looked a little disappointed as she straightened up.

“Darn, I was hoping to catch you two together! I love watching your baking lessons on Youtube! They’re so helpful and fun, and you two are a darling couple. Can I get two cranberry-orange muffins and a coffee?”

Gray.was.DEAD.

At no point did Erza ever give her permission to go up on the Youtube channel. Lyon forgot about Gray’s little project. Once a week the two would screw around, throw out a tutorial and then Lyon forgot about it. It hadn’t occurred to him that anyone would watch it, let alone be fans. Now he was thinking he should’ve been keeping a better eye on things.

Plastering on his best smile, he leaned forward a bit and turned up the charisma, “Not as darling as you. We are happy to have such a lovely fan patronizing our bakery.”

“Such a flirt,” she laughed playfully, giving his cheek a friendly, chiding pat. “Don’t let your girlfriend catch you!”

“Oh, I do not have to worry about that,” he smiled back wondering how he could get her number without being cliche. It might be just what he needed to get his mind off Erza and get back in the dating ring. He almost put his number on the cup but at the last minute handed it over blank.

She took her bag and coffee, “You’re cute but the good ones are always taken. Thanks for humoring me though. My name is Jenny, and next time I expect to see the two of you together!”

“Do you know her?”

He jumped, whirling to face Erza. She was still holding the beast, but at the moment, he would take the dog. Her expression wasn’t as innocent as her question. 

“A Youtube fan.” 

He didn’t know why he was so guilty. Nothing had happened, and Jenny was a sweet fan.

“Oh, next time you should offer your autograph,” Erza remarked, brushing past him towards the back. He almost set the record straight, but something about the way she was holding herself convinced him to hold his piece.

After all, it wasn’t like they were actually dating.

I'M REVIEWING A THING.

I've been doing a lot of school related stuff so I haven't been very active.

In the time I've been gone, I found a freaking Columbine fanfiction (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT) that I'm incredibly hesitant to review. If I even do, I will be incredibly somber and critical throughout the entire thing. (I found it on LiveJournal)

Anyway, I reread this story since it's been a bit since I reviewed it last.

Natsu POV... It had been 3 days since the Lisanna and I hugging thing happened and the guild thought we were dating now. Lisanna was quite happy about this and asked me if I would date her but I don't know what to say.

Please don't switch tenses.

Lucy is still fighting in her trance and this isn't the time for me to be playing families with Lisanna but we could use each other to lean on for support and when Lucy was awake I would tell her. Plus, when we hugged I felt a connection, a strong one.

DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT LUCY?

Lucy POV... I was out of strength and tired and sad. I was in here fighting the demons and grim reapers while Lisanna and Natsu were dating.

They aren't.

Natsu's busy having a really confusing existential crisis, and Lisanna is busy being thirsty enough to drink an entire freshwater river.

Great. I heard many people talking about it but I haven't seen anything... Yet. Gray visited me quite a few times and told me he loved me.

BUT JUVIA.

I have to admit Gray was on my dating options. So maybe I'll ask him out since he admitted he was nervous.

Gray doesn't usually outright admit weakness. That's out of character for him. But if I recall correctly, didn't Gray say that Lucy was like a sister to him?

But how could Natsu just forget about me? I'm in some sort of coma thing and fighting demons while he is frolicking with Lisanna!

Yeah, I don't understand either, Lucy.

I have to wake up, I want to leave the guild.

BUT YOU LOVE FAIRY TAIL.

Happy usually feeds himself, but okay.

Mira's cooking was even starting to decrease in yumminess. I have mash potato and it was soggy and lumpy. I want Lucy back because she cares and she will feed me.

I question the logic of this story.

Natsu POV... Lucy is slowly starting to depart from my mind. I confirmed with Lisanna that we are dating and she is more clingy than ever but I don't mind.

NATSU NO YOU'RE A BETTER PERSON THAN THIS.

I wish Lucy would come back, then I wouldn't have to look after happy. Wait! What was I saying? I love Happy. When did I last feed the poor exceed.... 2 nights ago. Geez, I've been too caught up in Lisanna. I need to snap back to reality. Lucy is battling in there and I'm dancing around!

YES. WAKE UP. LISANNA IS POSSESSED OR SOMETHING THIS IS UNLIKE HER.

I have never wanted to hit someone over the head with a steel beam more than I do right at this very second.

Normal POV... Everyone says their goodbyes to Lucy

But she's not dead.

She's in a coma for no reason.

as they make there way home from the guild. Everyone except Makarov, Gray and Happy had gone home. No one was in the room with Lucy but she slowly felt as if she was being dragged through thick sheets of water until she broke the surface panting heavily.

Personally, I'd like to see a 'thick sheet of water' myself.

Gray rushed in with Happy by his side. Makarov was still in his office and did not hear anything. Gray sat on the side of the bed while Happy landed on her stomach.

Who's stomach? As far as I knew, Gray was male.

" Lucy you died again! You promised you wouldn't and I haven't been fed for three days! Natsu is dating Lisanna and he doesn't care about anyone else anymore!"

We're just going farther and farther down the rabbit hole.

Happy cried into Gray's arm. "It's true" muttered Gray while scruffiness Happy's head.

How do you 'scruffiness' something? It sounds painful.

" I'm leaving the guild, you guys wanna come?"

Wow, you're surprisingly chipper.

Lucy announced despite the sad aura in the room. Gray nodded and Happy replied with a "As long as you never forget me like Natsu did!". "Never" Lucy confirmed.

Gray POV... Natsu went on a mission with Lisanna and Erza so they weren't a problem.

No offense to anyone who likes Lisanna, but she's utterly useless. She has won a grand total of zero battles, and whenever she is in one, she ends up needing to be rescued. Her strongest attack is a sexy cat.

Put some clothes on. You're leaving your body completely vulnerable by basically wearing your underwear.

Yes, people could argue that Lucy is the same, but she actually has a personality and good character development.

But why would powerhouses like Erza and Natsu go on a mission with her? Sure, they're her friends, but they aren't on her team, and frankly they outrank and outclass her.

I felt strange leaving my home. But I would follow Lucy anywhere

BUT

WHAT

ABOUT

JUVIA?!?!?!?!?!?!

and that anywhere ended up being a new guild we made on the other side of Magnolia called Celice...

Magnolia already has two guilds: Fairy Tail and Twilight Ogre. It doesn't need a third which was created because Natsu was charmed by possessed Lisanna.

WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST JOIN BLUE PEGASUS OR LAMIA SCALE OR SOMETHING? YOU HAVE FRIENDS THERE!

My first hate comment!

I've officially made it! A couple of years ago I started a Fairy Tail fanfiction but never got far. About two months ago I started an account on AO3, and I decided to finish what I'd written and post it. I had someone come into that fic with an absolutely buckwild comment. Here it is in full:

"Wow. WOW. Fucking WOW!!!

I did not for an instant think you NaLu rapesavages were capable of inventing a more blatant spiteship than Bixanna! But Lisanna with FUCKING LYON?!?! No fucking WONDER the world longs for the total genocide of your whole cultist species!"

(For context, these characters aren't even in the fic, but it's a next generation-style fic and a very briefly mentioned background character is their son. It's a total crackship, but I thought they'd be cute together and they're both friends of the main characters so it could make sense.)

But damn, look at this! So far, in this comment, we have:

Someone just repeating "Wow" several times

Being called both a rapist and a savage (double-wammy)

Being called a cultist

Having my crackship referred to as a spiteship for a totally unrelated but popular pairing

And being told that I should be killed in a genocide
