"That's my mark on them," Whumper purred as Caretaker stared at the scar on Whumpee's shoulder. "They're mine. And you're not taking them anywhere."

"Oh yeah?" Caretaker snapped back. Blazing eyes found Whumpee's, who looked away in shame. But Caretaker wouldn't have it. He grabbed their face, both hands, looked them deep in the eyes.

And he kissed them full on the mouth.

Whumpee sputtered, utterly confused, embarrassed even, a hand shakily reaching up to touch over their lips as Caretaker pulled away. They stumbled lightly, but an arm snagged around theirs and pulled them against Caretaker.

"That's my mark on them," Caretaker snarled. "I can easily plant one right over yours. And they're coming home. With me!"

As I get older and older I more tangibly realize why queer individuals in older generations than mine might prefer words I wouldn't use for myself, and likewise why younger generations preferences would be different too. Like it was always clear you know, a person knows their identity best and what labels they prefer best and even if you don't get it you should respect it. But I guess the older I get the more I realize I really don't know and never can know the background another person has for their perceptions and meaning for labels and why something in particular helps them to use or not

🥰 Mys threw Shane a surprise birthday party! BUT it wasn’t just any party, no… she threw him a pizza festival. She started planning it the same day he mentioned it to her (year 2?) and went through h the trouble of providing all of the ingredients Gus would need. They spent the WHOLE day before the 20th making pizza pies and the next day Mys kept Shane busy while everyone else set up the festival.

He was so surprised that anyone bothered to care about him at all. He proceeded to have the best birthday of his life.

Activities included: eating every single type of pizza they had to offer (and forcing mys to try them, he’d take a bit and then hold it out to her), a pizza pie eating contest in which Shane was crowned the King of Pizza(Sam came second and the crown was made by Jas and Vincent because they wanted to help 🥺), drinking (Pam spiked the punch and the kids weren’t allowed to have any except for bottled juice), and music!
