Emcee : a system role which describes an alter who is perpetually, or nearly so, always in front. The job of this alter is to live the body's life and handle daily struggles so the rest of the collective doesn't have to (they may have other roles as well, but usually this one is more dominant). Other members may front alongside the emcee, but the emcee still remains in primary control of the body.
