I actually think it's pretty fucking gross that companies use free and open source software for their own gain without any acknowledgement to those that supplied it.
It is incredible that people around the world come together to create so much amazing software. The thought of it being abused by the rich irritates the hell out of me.

Hi, do you think computer science minor is doable with macbook air?
hi! absolutely, you don't need a beefy computer to do a computer science degree. if a class requires you to have a certain operating system/compiler/processing power, then they should provide the systems for you. it depends on the program though! I figure most schools will have computer labs if they require you to use certain software. but in general, yeah, a macbook air will be totally fine for general cs stuff.

Seeking Shelter At The Park | A Library Class
File:Halleyparknovember.jpg Dream 1 This dream took place during the day, I went to a fictional version of W Park to maybe use the bathroom & maybe seek shelter. Finding a bathroom and shelter proved to be difficult. Perhaps I found a small broken shack for shelter because I remember my original flavor Rootana powdered meal that arrived in a busted open bag being in an empty gallon ice cream…

Linux isn't a good alternative if you're tech illiterate. I don't quite get why people push it as if it'll solve anything! Sure it's a great alternative if you know how to use the internet to troubleshoot and have an understanding of what you're doing. But people who are tech illiterate probably don't fall into either of those categories.
Evey fucking Linux user is going to "well actually," these types of comments too! Congrats on being tech literate. Now go study human computer interaction before you suggest fucking Linux of all things as an alternative for tech illiterate people.
We need to lay more blame for "Kids don't know how computers work" at the feet of the people responsible: Google.
Google set out about a decade ago to push their (relatively unpopular) chromebooks by supplying them below-cost to schools for students, explicitly marketing them as being easy to restrict to certain activities, and in the offing, kids have now grown up in walled gardens, on glorified tablets that are designed to monetize and restrict every movement to maximize profit for one of the biggest companies in the world.
Tech literacy didn't mysteriously vanish, it was fucking murdered for profit.
