"Red Smile"

She saw a painting Making note of the title And the content

The subject was smiling But she noted the Kind of "smile"

It's a smile Of false reassurance A smile where

One is trying to reassure While, at the same time, Crying "Help me."

Pretending to be alright When one isn't

The painting conveyed What she's known all too well

What can one do in a cruel, unforgiving world?

a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”
