Hopefully I don't sound derisive, but did Sol's headband have any real functionality in keeping his Gear cells in his body repressed by the time of Xrd? It may be just me, but Sol makes it sound as though he was keeping his physical form (and human mind) intact with nothing but sheer will power at that stage. Especially when his Dragon Install makes him look completely monstrous as opposed to before.

It's not like Sol can't maintain his human form without it, it's just a lot harder to do when he has to use his powers.

That, and the Flame of Corruption Seed was encroaching his body, which even Dr. Faust began to notice and warned Sol about.

Sol was going to "ignore it", but Asuka insisted on taking the Seed out of his neck for his own safety.

If Sol had continued to let the Dragon Install affect him, he would have grown in to a massive Anti-Matter Gear (which is what I-No warned him about in Xrd Sign's story when Sol asks "what is that giant thing?").

The "giant thing" was Sol himself... who had grown in to a massive size and was wandering around the ruins of Babylon in 2192.

But it was Axl Low (and I-No)'s efforts combined that averted that future timeline. Asuka helped as well.

It being Elon's favorite game (or at least one so important to him that his biographer dedicates a lot of time to it) is.....really really funny.

Basically, imagine Civilization, but as a mobile game. So like if Civilization Revolution was even more dumbed down (that's a Civilization insult. That's devastating. It's devastated right now). For what it's worth, it's not a bad game. On the contrary, from what I could tell in the little bit of time I played it, it's a perfectly competent game with good design. But it's not a deep game by any means. I played through it once, won easily on my first go, then saw that the other playable characters had barely any differences between them.
