The relationship between Kuro and Germaine is kind of a reversal of the one between Victor and Adam in Frankenstein. In Servamp, it is the creation who abhors his creator, and the creator who desires companionship but is rebuffed at every turn.

It is the creator who is innocent of their own horrid actions, lacking understanding of the fears of humans, and the monster he has created who rebukes him, recoils from his desire for affection. Kuro, like Victor, drags his grief and misery with him like chains, unable to appreciate the world around him, unable to forgive himself for the crime he has committed, and ultimately resolving to murder in an attempt to assuage his own guilt.

And it is Germaine who seeks to fill a void, one his creation cannot give him, a connection others misunderstand and run from because of the inhumanity of his attempts to gain it.

Neither Germaine nor Victor cared for the feelings of their creation. Selfishly, they gave life where there was none.

Neither Kuro nor Adam asked to be brought into existence. Both of them view their beings with disdain and turmoil.

There is something very special about the way this relationship is formed, the one between Kuro and Germaine, because it’s no relationship at all. It’s like… It’s like dealing with a toddler. Germaine hasn’t been taught to be kind. He holds no malice in his actions. He’s a selfish, self centered being, but he doesn’t wish harm on anyone (that we’ve seen so far)

He simply has a goal he wants to fulfill

Throughout the story, Germaine has been built as this… insidious character. The way other characters talk about him, the way his actions are framed to us, the viewpoint of the other servamps like Hugh, Lily, even Ildio… He’s often drawn in a very sinister way.

And yet

When we meet him for the first time, really meet him… He’s a bumbling fool. He’s a man(?) trapped in grief. His face is gentle, his actions benign. He only gives what is asked for.

He’s someone whose sinister nature comes not from his motives, but from how they are so utterly incompatible with a human way of thinking.

I really am not sure what to make of him except to think that he’s a child. A very, very powerful child.

One no one has taught things like what it means to hurt someone. One who hasn’t experienced guilt.

One who hasn’t learned how to deal with fear, or pain, or loss

Who are you, Vainglory?

No, really.

Who are you, Count Saint Germaine, creator of the Servamps, a man so terrified of loss, you make others lose everything in your stead?

Are you a natural being? Or did someone, something, create you?

Mahiru Shirota's life is going to fall apart as soon as we get any, any new information about his mother.

With chapter 136, Lily reveals to Misono that Touma Taishi is Mahiru Shirota's biological father and it was the reason why Lily had planted Kuro in that alleyway to pick up. I am inclined to believe him because it adds up in the story as a whole; Why Kuro was there in the first place since we know he had been asleep under Alicein manor for the last 200 years.

Along with the fact that Hokaze (Misono's mom) was finally revealed to be a promiscuous woman who was a very active participant in the cheating scandal, I cannot believe that Akira was in no way involved in this plot to resurrect the Count Saint Germaine. Akira may not be on the side that wants to bring him back but she was a part of it no less, we just do not know how yet. (I am figuratively biting my nails waiting to see the ball drop for her)

She was very aware of vampires, magic and mages, this is a fact not because we know that she herself is a mage, we do not know that much, but because of Tooru. He attended the same high school/prep school that Misono does that has direct ties to C3 recruitment and we know he's been involved with Touma since his days there and they fought/killed vampires since then. Along with the Shirota family no doubt being a mage family, Akira was not at all oblivious to this.

I do not, however, think that her sleeping with Touma and creating Mahiru was any plot nudged by any Servamp or like. Why?

Because Lily had genuinely believed that Touma would come to Mahiru's aid in a life-or-death situation that would have otherwise killed him, and was rather shocked when Touma tried to kill him on his own. At least according to what he told Misono. (I believe most of what he's telling Misono except that he doesn't actually care about Misono. I think he's trying to made Misono mad at him beyond reconciliation for Reasons because he's a fucking coward who, if loved properly, won't be able to go through with his and Mikuni's plans)

Anyways, the reason I say Mahiru's entire world will fall apart instead of his views of his mother is because of one specific instance in the manga; Tooru thanking Mahiru for saving Touma. Not for saving Tsurugi like Mahiru probably thinks he was saying, Touma. Because Lily's plan included Touma dying because he was so close to figuring out how they were going to revive the Count.

If Touma HAD died, the good guys wouldn't know what would be happening. Tsubaki, Envy pair and Lily would have been completely clear to start the ritual while completely blindsiding everyone opposed ON TOP of starting the ritual a day early. They'd have been a lot less prepared than they are right now. Touma was a huge danger to the ritual's success.

Tooru knows this. He knows whats happening. Yes, he's also just relieved his childhood friend and coworker isn't dead thanks to his nephew but that isn't the only reason.

Why would Tooru leave Mahiru alone with Tsubaki in the restaurant they went to? Why would Tooru pretend Kuro was a burglar when he saw him chilling in the apartment and then so quickly drop the fact that there supposedly was a burglar in the house, all when we know he must have known who Kuro was the moment he saw him. Even if this was early manga and we did not yet know he was an elite of C3!

Mahiru's entire world is going to fall apart not only because he'll learn his mother is not the woman he thought she was, but because he'll learn he's been betrayed by his uncle in a way far greater than him leaving him alone and lonely for months at a time.

Tooru knows. And has made sure Mahiru didn't under the naive guise of protecting him.

Tsubaki and Lawless Sibling Headcanons

After reading that meme about what woulda happened if Lawless and Tsubaki were on good terms I had to make these headcanons

This. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought about this-  Allow me to do a small rant/analysis-

Lawless is canonically referred to as having a family root according to Gear in this panel

Yall no one can change my mind Lawless got fat daddy issues that run deeper than a black hole

As shown in these panels he has a deep respect and gratitude to Saint germaine for reviving him, and even goes as far as to lecture Kuro for being "rude"

I also find it interesting how of all the siblings Lawless is pretty much the only one that was happy to be revived, aside from Ildio who was more or so neutral on his new life. Lawless pretty much took his new life and appreciated his second chance-

Personally in my opinion, I believed because he was a lower-ranking prince who was killed in a conspiracy he may have never gotten a chance to live life? He looks like he died pretty young and since he was a lower ranking prince, he may have lived with a silver spoon in his mouth, but likely was never able to go out to much and was probably very lonely. He probably only had Guil by his side which is why I love and adore their father/brother dynamic 😭

SPEAKING OF BROTHER DYNAMICS- KURO I GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU-

dAWG- WHYD KURO DO HIM SO DIRTY 😭Bro straight up just lost Ophelia, is about to lose his "second father", then gets dumped by his own god damn brother- Like Kuro pretty much told him "we shouldn't have been born". Like bruh lawless got done so dirty in a span of like a week, like even after this he goes back home  Ophelia's kingdom was destroyed 💀

Also he had to walk to the meeting stop for about 10 days+ and then walked back on his hedgehog stubby legs like is this man okay, IMAGINE WALKING ALL THE WAY ON FOOT AND JUST BEING DUMPED LIKE THAT- no wonder bro held such a fatass grudge against Kuro. Centuries later they meet again and  Kuro really had the audacity to be like, "why u mad at me" as if he didnt kill Saint and told Lawless they shouldn't really exist 😭

Anyways, moving onto the actual Tsubaki and Lawless siblings headcanons-

Lawless desperately wanted a family and tried seeking that through his new found Servamp siblings, but sadly none of them really wanted it aside from Ildio and Freya. Love the headcanon that Freya canonically thinks of Lawless as her "dear brother"🥺

Tsubaki later down the road looks like he craved that too? In fact it looks like he went to every sibling and tried asking them who he was and none of them knew. But what Im curious is about is this

Lawless already knew about Tsubaki? When we got Lily's POV, he stated that he was visited by Tsubaki, and Tsubaki started laughing because none of his siblings knew about him. Now Im curious, because if Lawless had met Tsubaki in the past, what was it like? Did he just know of Tsubaki from C3? Given the fact that Lawless has spied on them sometimes when he was bored, is that how he found it? But I have a weak heart, so lets make some headcanons on had they met earlier and actually became close.

In a perfect world, Id had pictured Lawless helped Tsubaki escape from C3 and they both became close since both craved familial love. Its been revealed that Tsubaki is trying to protect his little sister so for sure, bros in the same boat as Lawless trying to make found family

There was also an old book called, "The Hedgehog and the Fox" where a quote is stated, "The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing." I like to think this very similar to Lawless and Tsubaki. Tsubaki, is likely one of the strongest siblings and can clap cheeks instantly. He has many skills and is canonically the only one that can "kill" his siblings, but Lawless is older, so I believe the "the hedgehog knows one big thing" is really cute, but it feeds into the dynamic that, yes although Tsubaki is superior to Lawless in terms of power, he has a lot more to learn.

Considering Tsubaki was locked up in C3 for a while I would like to think Lawless took him out and immediately tried getting him situated in the modern era. Thats my perspective on "hedgehog knows one big thing" like imagine being locked up and experimented for ages, and finally being introduced the modern day, like when was the last time Tsubaki saw the sun 💀

I also headcanon Lawless is probably pretty well off considering hes greed and judging from the fact hes constantly wearing rings and bracelets like I doubt those are fake, and he literally shops at Shibuya. Lawless is canonically a bougie bitch 💀

Leo wasn't a vocal person at all, his closed circle knew how it wasn't easy for him to express his feelings through words. Everytime he tried to talk the words would get stuck in his throat making him feel nauseous. Instead Lionel preferred to sulk in his own room alone. Even tho Luis knew Leo liked being alone, this time he wouldn't let that happen. Luis hated seeing his dearest friend suffering like that. He hated seeing him grieving alone. An idea came to mind, to ease Leo's pain and make him get over the other man.

Leo thought it was the most stupidest thing he had ever heard. Nonetheless, he tried it without telling Luis of course. Luis would know anyway, but not now.

For a start he sent a huge beautiful bouquet of lilies, with no notes attached and no name on it. He knew there was a big possibility for Neymar not to receive his flowers, nevertheless he didn't care. He sent them and wished for the best.

The next day, while stalking Neymar's Instagram stories, skipping his pictures in the Paris saint Germain kit, they made Leo feel horrible. The last story was a photo of the bouquet he sent, with a text saying “Obrigado meu amado fã! mas por que lírios?„

A very smart and genuine question from Neymar, Leo didn't expect the younger to ask such a question, he was genuinely impressed Neymar caught what he was trying to do.

As the articles he read on Google said, lilies symbolize grief and loss. Lilies couldn't express his feelings better, Leo was grieving the departure of his loved one. It wasn't easy for him, it wasn't easy on the rest of the team but he suffered the most. He felt like a part of his soul left his body when the other left with little to no explanation.

Lilies were the perfect flowers for their current situation, for Leo they meant mourning but for Neymar it meant rebirth.

It took Leo awhile to think about his next bouquet of flowers. He was still trying to understand how he felt about Neymar. He wasn't mad anymore, he was confused on why Neymar left in the first place. He was confused and lost in his own head thinking about Neymar and his unexplained reasons. Finally Leo chose, he chose sending basil.

Suarez found choosing basil was funny, the only thing he knew about basil was they were used in food. “Sending him ugly basil? No wonder why he left.” He joked, trying to lighten up the mood a bit but it made Leo more irritated, sometimes Suarez got on his nerves. “Basil are holy and sacred, they aren't just for cooking Luis.” he said, organizing the flowers, trying to make them look pleasing. He knew the younger wouldn't find them that amusing but he wanted to send a message and he hoped Neymar would receive it. “They are for good wishes. ” He explained, even tho he was still hurt about Neymar's departure, he wished everyday Neymar would have a good career in Paris. As much as he hated Neymar's new club, he always prayed Neymar could shine there just as he did at Barça.

Neymar said he would use them for cooking on his Instagram stories, which made Leo think how Neymar and Luis were so alike. Both were stupid enough. Maybe the idea of expressing his feelings with flowers wasn't the brightest but he did feel better after sending them, they made him connect with his feelings and tell Neymar his unspoken words.

Leo thought so hard about his next ones, he wanted something beautiful yet screamed his deep devoted feelings for Neymar. red chrysanthemum were the winner. They were so bright red, almost made Leo blind by how bright they were. They screamed love and passion, Leo was still in love, deeply in love and what was better than bright red flowers to show how madly in love he was. “Do you ever think Neymar will guess who send flowers to him?” a genuine question he always had on his mind since starting this. At first he was okay with Neymar not knowing who sent those, but with every bouquet, he wanted Neymar to know about his feelings, still he wasn't ready to reveal himself.

Neymar got injured, a nasty tackle injured him badly, making him miss lots of important matches. Leo's heart was torn, he hated how players hurt Neymar in order to stop him. It wasn't Neymar's problem he was so good and players didn't know how to stop him from doing amazing on the pitch. What made Leo more devasted was how he wasn't there to help his little boy, he wasn't there to comfort him, hug him and whisper sweet words to him to try and ease his pain. Luckily he had a way to show his support to the younger.

Gladiolus meant strength and faithfulness, Leo knew how strong Neymar was. He faced lots of injuries yet he never lost his faith. He was strong, determinant to get better for himself and his fans. He always got back stronger than ever, Leo was always speechless by Neymar. Everything about him made him in loss of words.

Neymar wasn't surprised by the flowers no more, instead he started to think it wasn't a random obsessed fan sending him bunch of different flowers, it was a letter, especially for him. His injury gave him time to rest and think about the flowers he was receiving. He started by searching the names of the flowers and it's symbolism. diving in different articles, he never thought flowers could mean too much. He almost guessed who sent them, nonetheless he preferred being in denial till the other gather the courage and reveal himself.

Leo never thought seeing Neymar again on the field would make his heart go warm and his stomach feel tingly. For him it was the most beautiful sight to be seen. Neymar was back from his injury, showing off his skills and playing gracefully on the field. Leo was proud of his boy. A big blue salvia bouquet was sent, with a short letter and words of encouragement. He knew by now Neymar would have guessed who sent him all these different flowers.

One day Leo woke up, a bouquet of yarrow flowers on his doorstep with a letter attached.

“I am more courageous than you Leo, I love you in spite of everything. I'm sorry.”

Yarrow flowers are a symbol of bravery, courage and everlasting love.

And Luis's idea backfired.

I'm trying to get back to using my perfume collection, which is often sort of "out of sight, out of mind". I have about 50 scents (mostly BPAL imps) that I've organized it all into a spreadsheet, sorted by season.

These are the ones I'm taking out for the next couple of weeks:

Saint-Germain (BPAL 2006) - "Gilded amber, hypnotic lavender, brash carnation and deep mosses." This is one of my very favorite scents, which was sadly discontinued in 2010. I've been hoarding about half an imp for a long time, but I should just let myself enjoy it.

Loviatar (BPAL 2006) - "The slap of slick, hot leather punctuates the warm, sensual embrace of black amber, red musk and dark, lascivious myrrh." Another one I love that was discontinued in 2010, and I only have a drop left. The BPAL website is teasing me that it might be re-released at some point, but who knows?

Calico Jack (BPAL 2007 & 2021) - "Sea air, driftwood, waterlogged kelp, and the memory of plundered spices sprayed over worn leathers, rough musk, and the salty wooden floorboards of the Revenge." I have an old imp I want to use up before I get into the new one.

Ave Maria Gratia Plena (BPAL 2021) - "Rosewood with Sicilian lemon peel, red Mysore sandalwood, pale musks, sweet mountain sage and a dusting of lily, night-blooming jasmine and orris."

Robin Goodfellow (BPAL 2021) - "Dark musk, moss-covered wood, ragwort, heather, and sage."

Gravity (Coty 2000) - "Top notes are White Pepper, Lime, Sage and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Cloves and Freesia; base notes are Leather, Vanilla and Woodsy Notes." This scent is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. It was the cologne all the boys were wearing when I was in high school in the mid 90s. It reminds me of a lot of good times, and so I've incorporated it into my gender journey.

Speakeasy (Samar Pit Crew 2022) - "French oakwood, soft leather, tobacco, gin, rum, elderflower, vetiver. 'Speakeasy' is an offering to queer joy - past, present, and future." My roommate got me this one for Christmas, and I keep forgetting to test it out.
