my favorite project sekai au has got to be n25 as an idol group, or as i like to call it, idol shinitai

kanade was hired as a songwriter for an idol company after her talent became known to her father's acquaintances from the music industry. but she decides she wants to reach people more directly with her music so she becomes an idol herself. the physical training takes an enormous toll on her health, but she never lets herself rest because she knows her fans are counting on her to "save" them.

mafuyu started auditioning when she was very young because her stage mom wanted to live vicariously through her fame. she was the first of the group to become an idol, and she's maintained that public persona (cultivated by her mother) for so long that she's forgotten her true identity. but that starts to change when she meets kanade and is inspired to write her own songs.

ena was scouted after her selfie account on social media took off, and she agreed to become an idol because all the attention from fans helps lift her ego. however, she still feels jealous of more popular idols and worries that she hasn't worked hard enough to earn her success. what's more, her father thinks being an idol is a cop-out for someone without real talent. she joins kanade's unique new group in order to prove him wrong.

mizuki is an idol because, quite simply, it's fun. she gets to dress up in cute clothes, dance, sing, and interact with fans. however, beneath it all there's always an undercurrent of dread. the more popular she gets, the more she worries about what will happen when the world learns her secret. just finding the courage to tell her friends is hard enough, but to tell thousands of people whose support she depends on to keep doing what she loves? it's terrifying.

it's just crazy how much the context of fame and celebrity serves to highlight and intensify the existing themes of niigo's story.

Hello! Here´s a Sonic Movie sketch comic Christmas carol. I hope you like it!

I was thinking about this story before december and I wanted to do it for this christmas. (I dont have much time but at least I made this sketch comic for you!) Stay tunned for the next panels! First / Previous / Next

okay when i started rewatching house, it took me until 3x15 but i started to notice a pattern in house's wardrobe. the scene where foreman was trying to express sadness(?) at house's (fake) brain cancer they were both wearing pink.

After that I noticed that any time house was wearing pink, they were particularly vulnerable moments. Moments that he's feeling tender or open. Moments where he is being pretty earnest.

Then I started to notice that other colored shirts came up at different times. Light blue was his most neutral state, it represents logic and reason imo. Maybe a little bit of humor. There's a lightness or surface-ness to it.

Purple represents something like consequences or grief or guilt. any time there is purple someone is bearing the weight of a decision that was made, or a complex situation.

Black represents, as you can imagine, death. the darkest moments we see house in black.

The other colors aren't as prominent, but I have theories. Red is sex, power, life, excitement, ego. tan is neutrality. white is almost naive. green is rare and house never wears it. Dark blue is still logic but more solemn, more deep. its also interesting to note the times when he doesn't wear a t-shirt under his dress shirt and leaves like 3 buttons open (hubba hubba) and when he /only/ wears a t-shirt. I think his dress shirt is almost like his armor.

A little note on the Liang Shan Bo & Zhu Ying Tai story told in ep20:

So this is a folktale from Jin Dynasty (266-420 AD) that has been retold over generations and adapted into various forms of media (plays, operas, movies, songs, etc. you name the type and it's probably been done), and you'll find regional and artistic differences if you go looking for all the variations, but the core remains the same: it's a tragic romance where Liang and Zhu did not end up together in life.

A quick summary of the rest of the tale, continuing from where Gu Jin Yu stopped: Zhu went home before completing her studies, and when Liang visited he finally found out the man he fell in love with was really a woman. He wanted to propose, only to find out Zhu's father had already arranged her marriage to another man. Heartbroken, Liang died from an illness not long after. On Zhu's wedding day, when the wedding procession passed by Liang's grave, strong winds prevented them from moving forward. Zhu left her palanquin to pay respects at the grave, and when it suddenly split open, Zhu jumped in without hesitation to join her love, and from the grave emerged two butterflies.

Gu Jin Yu stopped where she did because she was going to write a different ending for them (which maybe the production team already hinted at in ep2):

(Feel free to look up "butterfly lovers" for more info. There's a ton out there, but sadly I haven't found one that touches on the bisexual awakening of Liang, which is my personal takeaway from this story.)

I dont know if anyone cares about him much but I think Jolt from ROTF was a really cool concept, so I wanted to make a my own take on him (partly because I'm not really a fan of any of the bay style designs and partly because he like basically non existent T-T)

Most of my inspo for him was taken from his toy bios on the tfwiki.

He's a field medic who can expel electricity from his hands that can be used as a defibrillator.

The whips he has can also become charged.

If he doesn't expel exes energy he'll start generating it along his plating.

He's not particularly disciplined or patience.

I'll probaly flesh him out more someday but these are just my current ideas!!

The fact that Joey is the only actor we see near the entrance of the room just waving some people around and throwing kisses - more focused on greeting a "larger audience" than individually greeting his co-stars - is the most Jaskier thing ever!

Prefacing that, again time zones, I've only been able to glean the latest CR episode and that I do not agree with their in-character opinions on the gods, I'd like to remind fans to try and not get super ugly about their criticism of Ashton Greymoore.

I'll be the first to throw my hands up and say they're among my favourite C3 characters so there may be bias, but I've been getting flashes of the Shard Incident from reactions towards their recent and vocal disdain for the gods. Disagree with them all you want, Taliesin knows that the gods can't simply leave since they're the one who said that the Wildmother would die if she left, but understand that it's a character flaw and if you recall the hardships of their backstory, the unanswered prayers, and that their only exchanges with the gods have required them to do something or, with the Dawnfather Angel, have been met with cold disregard, it's understandable how they got to feeling that way. Ashton has lived alone and been told they don't matter for a lot of their life; no gods, no family, no nurturing presence to guide them, they've been abandoned, used, and - with additional influence by the Dominox accusing them of wanting FCG to die - are currently between blaming themselves and the Changebringer for their closest friend's death.

Make no mistake Ashton is wrong, I think the self-confessed hypocrite with also self-confessed poor morality knows that deep down, or at least knows that they're not the kind of person who should be in charge. Vassalheim is a difficult place for a titan vessel to be in so it is unsure what they will do from here; perhaps investigate the Earth Titan? Commune with the Emperor and Empress? Or maybe be brought to the gods and be able to vent or reconcile with them (and maybe get some closure with FCG, speak with his spirit as like a mediator between the Hells and the Gods)? But it feels like Taliesin is being vocal for a reason, and it's either to invite Matt to challenge it (I've said in other comments but I would love if Ashton found some comfort, not worship or a pact but maybe just a dialogue, in the Everlight: a goddess of healing, temperance and redemption - all of which would help Ashton mentally - as unlikely as it'd be) or find another maybe primordial route to give Ashton a narrative tether towards stopping Predathos.

Let's just, not be cruel about the character, they are more than just their bad trauma and grief-led opinion on gods remember?
