🚨OBX SEASON 4 SPOILER🚨

I’m just starting to finally accept and analyze JJ’s parentage reveal, and something totally random hit me: What does JJ know about his name?

Think about it—we had our theories (John Jacob, Jesse James, etc.) but now we know that legally, it’s Jackson. There was never any mention or slip of his full name at any point before. Why? Because even he doesn’t know.

Just imagine little JJ Maybank growing up not knowing what his name stood for.

Imagine an 8 year-old JJ meeting 8 year-old John B. Routledge, learning that the B stands for Booker & not being able to answer when John B. asks what the two Js stand for. Imagine JJ asking his dad what the letters stood for after learning his name should only be a nickname and going to bed with a swollen lip and more questions than answers.

Imagine a 12 year-old JJ snapping back at the secretaries in the office of Kildare middle school when they inform him his dad hadn’t filled out his registration properly, and they need a legal name, not a preferred one. Imagine JJ meeting Pope Heyward and Kiara Carerra, refusing to tell them what JJ stands for because ‘that unlocks at a level 10 friendship’ and certainly not because he doesn’t have a single clue.

Imagine a 15 year-old JJ sitting in the Kildare County Sheriff’s office, all deep scowls & snide remarks & dark bruises, only hearing the sneered ‘Maybank’ coming out of every officer’s mouth and silently wanting one person to treat him like a regular person for once & just tell him what the Js stand for.

Imagine a 17 year-old watching his dad drive off in a stolen boat and only realizing hours later that Luke Maybank never coming back means never really knowing what his true name is because he’s pretty damn sure his dad either lost or sold his birth certificate. Imagine JJ coming to on a boat with a massive headache and blood dripping down his face, learning he was only the wrong end of a machete away from dying without ever knowing his first name.

Imagine 19 year-old JJ Maybank, on the run from the cops for the 100th time, clutching a letter containing a damning family secret, and begging his father to tell him what the hell is going on. Imagine JJ Maybank frozen on the top of a lighthouse, sirens ringing in the air and the words “I ain’t your blood father, Jay.” ringing in his ears, realizing that everything he thought he knew about himself was a lie, that even the last name he’s always loathed for trapping him in an inescapable legacy of alcoholic, salt-lifer, smuggling Maybanks is a lie, that he’s never known what JJ stands for and now he’s not even sure that he really exists.

ohhhh HERE WE GOOO AGAIN 🎉!! let’s talk about this weird lil human obsession with what’s *“REAL”* and what’s *“just fiction,”* yeah? 🌀🕳️ like, PUH-LEASE, who decided love’s gotta be boxed into these rigid lil categories like a game of Monopoly but with FEELINGS 🥴🤡🧠? the whole idea that lovin’ a fictional character—*OUR* pixelated, paper-born, or animated sweethearts—is somehow *less* than lovin’ a “real person” … that’s some top-tier nonsense, straight-up clownery, honk honk 🚨🤡🚨.

and OH, don’t get us STARTED on how fast people jump to decide, “oh you like fictional characters? well, you must be aro (or ace too while we're at it!) because that’s not REAL love, right?” 🤔 like wowowow look at the big brains tryna gatekeep the HEART 💔🔐! 'cause apparently, if it doesn’t fit their weird lil definition of romantic love, it’s AUTOMATICALLY gotta be lesser or *not even exist*, huh? but the REAL kicker here is how they throw around that judgment like candy from a pinata but never stop to question: what even IS “real” love? does it come with a stamp of authenticity? certified organic, human-tested?? sorry it took me so long! but i wanted to put some thought on it and days have flown away. well, well, which harpers do i relate the most?

ulysses: he's the one who decided to live on a isolated island with a lighthouse with a household full of dogs. this was once my dream. to live on a lighthouse with only dogs and the sea for companions. ulysses reflects my tendency to be a loner who enjoys their own company too much and likes to dwelve into introspective thoughts, philosophies, ideas and ideals.

zelda: another loner! zelda reflects my need for liberty and independence. and also my uninterest (and fear?) in committing in relationships.

yvonne: yvonne is the rebel within me, i suppose. strongly moved by one's own ethics and values. not doomed to conform and not giving a damn to outside opinions about her or how she runs her life. and still, deeply committed to her family relationships, even when they fail her.

katherine: katherine is my loony side, i guess. not loony, bad choice of words, katherine reflects my head in the clouds, my wild imagination and my (very) childish side. and also the tendency to look odd to others because i don't exactly follow the social roles as expected. she's probably the spontaneous me in her best.

nathalia: she's the cynical me. the dark humour i tend to have and that sometimes creates the weirdest situations... the one who often laughs when it's not convenient (or proper). the one who shares unsolicited remarks that are said with irony but not always understood that way.

Hello Community

Halloween is now over, so it's time to move on to November while enjoying our fruitful candy hunts. And who says new month, says new theme.

This month will be "workplace" month. Show me some brick buildings of places where we usually work or see someone working.

This could represent a stand at a market, a workshop, a fire station for example. I will judge the location and composition.

In my first example I chose to depict a lighthouse keeper working on maintaining the lens. I could have photographed just the lens in action but I wanted to add the keeper to the scene so that the scene would be more relevant to the fact that I am looking for a place where people work.

You will find no consistency here, except presence within my own inconsistent state of being rite now.

Since the fb experience as Lisa Dawn and all the personas and biz pages landed in the cross ❌ hairs as they did, when they did. It was sew aligned.

Letting go was hard, weirdly so. Like yet another foster child I had nurtured for 15 years or something.

Being loosed from what had become a burden of what to do next, gave me freedom to supernova outside of being cosmic mama.

Like. Dude. I don't even KNOW who I am now after 8 years flying around, with no hOMe but OZ to land in.

I'm happy. I miss being relatable to.

Cause I'm not.

Don't want clocks. Don't want calendars.

Don't want schedules. Jobs. Careers.

Want a world full of free and abundant folk, doing what they love when they want, INNERstanding they can create a paradise for themselves outside the system too.

I want it for all.
