I had the pleasure to work on the incredible Life series card project with a group of talented artist and together, we've put together a set of playing cards based on most of the Life series season!

Official titles I have come up with for the life series winners:

Grian, the first

Scott, the honorable

Pearl, the wicked

Martyn, the soldier

Scar, the chaos

Cleo, the fooling

Joel, the fighter

are the npc lifers going to have base game races? or will they be specific to hybrid headcanons such as grian being an avian and etho being an arctic fox!

Hi! Thanks for the question!

In the current imagining of how NPCs will work, they will have attributed races - some of them will probably be human, but many will represent common fandom interpretations of the characters such as avian Grian/Jimmy, zombie Cleo, werewolf/dog Ren etc. These races however will probably be more so cosmetic or roleplay oriented - they won't give them straight up statistics buffs, but they will allow them to use abilities and perks during the roleplaying parts of the game (for example, allowing Jimmy or Grian to briefly soar, or giving Ren dog like mannerisms).

Players will be able to, of course, also give their characters different races! The manual will include a list of races they can use, but there's nothing standing between them and making their own race.

Also, I feel like I mention this every time but it's important - this is how it looks in the current state of the game! Once we finally get to work, some of the details might change!
