so once again i don't really have any clue as to where higurashi's story is going as i've never seen Anything about the entire game besides maybe one or two sprites. i didn't even know it would be horror. but i'm very interested in seeing how this game continues as i still have 7 chapters to go?

#leevi liveblogs #i dont think we're getting new characters and it's unlikely this will be a continuation of what we just saw #bc the little i know is that ch 1-4 are questions and 5-8 answers. so my guess rn is that we're going to go through the cases in a similar #manner in reverse-chronological order so ch2 would be about satoshi?? but that cant be #bc ok i do know ONE thing about this game and it's that when i went to look at the console voice voice actors vndb listed keiichi as protag #which. very strange.#i cant imagine this game moving forward in time in the next question chapters???#hmmm im so intrigued but i dont think i want to start a new chapter today #also im understating how little i know of the game. one time i went to the movies with a friend to see the lighthouse. and i only knew the #name of the movie and briefly saw the poster in the theaters. nothing else. i didnt even know it was b&w gfsahgfakj #i think i knew equally as much about higurashi as i did of the lighthouse #now i know 1st chapter and also i read the synopsis of the game #''wait you didnt even read the synopsis??'' the one on steam just says higurashi is a sound novel and i was afraid my beautiful wife vndb #would spoil me #this game could have been an fps or something and i wouldn't have even questioned it #or it could have been a lighthearted slice of life all the way through and i would have been just like ''oh ok makes sense''#anyways let's do the all cast review session #i didnt know higurashi had them! i knew umineko does but idk what they are but we'll see

People on the internet have to decide between "I can't watch a show when there's no hot people in it" and "everyone in Hollywood looks the same and has too much plastic surgery"

You keep wondering why people get surgery when you can't appreciate their talents when they're ugly. You only watch movies when there's an actor you like but get confused when every movie is recycling the same 3 people. You complain about all the remakes but you don't watch any movie that's not connected to a big IP you already know.

I hate how shallow the consumption of art has become.

i love finishing a book or movie and then going to read reviews of it so i can judge them for being wrong

#watched the substance and one of the reviews was like 'maybe i didnt get the movie but you cant convince me demi moore is ugly'#that is correct you didnt get the movie #shes not ugly but she lets beauty standards get to her until she thinks she actually is #real people like the friend she met from school think shes gorgeous! bc she is!#its all abt her body image and perception of herself #she makes the 'old' version of herself rot inside instead of going out and living what could be an amazing life #shes fixated on her own youth and beauty to the point that she becomes a monster #and then in the end she finds the same pleasure of the flashing lights and attention and Hollywood glamor #by stopping to enjoy a simple pleasure like looking up at the stars #im biting the bars of my enclosure #i rly loved this movie #README

the really beautiful landscape/skyscape animation in makoto shinkai's works tends to be the big thing i see focused on and that is understandable and deserved like the weather and lighting effects are unREAL but i do think we should also appreciate how absolute insane the plotlines of his original movies get. at least two movies with in universe catastrophes with major ecological implications. the guns and explosions. theres that one movie i havent seen yet with the guy who turns into a chair (?)

REALLY good #i remember when it came out people were saying it was better than your name. but now it seems the general opinion switched?#your name changed my brain chemistry and outlook on life. i think weathering with you may do the same #so to me i think they're like on pare with eachother. i dont know if i can choose which is my fav now LOL #they are sisters to me..... sisters to me...... quick review below watch out for spoilers #i dont think i'll be too detailed but i do also just recommend watching it its a great movie #I DID like the soundtrack in your name a BIT better like the score had a few more hooks for me and i loved all the insert songs #while in wwy i liked the last three inserts but the first couple didnt really grab me. but its all radwimps so its all good LOL #the side characters in wwy were so good tho like i loved all the cast so much #of course i adored the main characters of your name and wwy both. but the side cast in wwy ruled i think i'll remember them for a long time #the taki jumpscare was also great. my boy was here. my boy was here. just for a minute #i also adored how unhinged the main character of wwy was. hodaka was like. a bit unwell? HJKDJHKFD i thought it was great #weird and quiet but desperately a bit violent in a way that i think was very relatable #i also loved the like. message? sorry that sounds sappy but i liked that like the story was kind of like #coming to hina who is working so hard and forced by herself and circumstance to grow up so early and sacrifice so much #and grabbing her by the shoulders and telling her YOU CAN LIVE!!! YOU CAN HAVE FUN!!! ITS OKAY!!!!!!#i think it was so sweet and such a strong sentiment. wonderful movie. also there was guns and i was so scared #i think that might actually by why i love how high stakes the plots get in these movies like the character design and personalities are so #real and down to earth so when you go to the beautiful planetary skyscapes and also the exploding vehicals you get like so in awe or scared #it does also make me laugh tho now thinking about the your name nendos. you can just barely make nendos of them. you cannot make a nendo of #hodaka. hina maybe. but not hodaka. he is. some guy. the most some guy. visually at least. mentally hes got. something happening <3 #loved him so much. hes normal. hes normal. oh they did make some popup parades thats cute #altho it is a bit funny looking. that is just like two normal teenagers JHKLDSHKFDLSafdjksd #anyway next up i'll probably watch the chair movie. ive heard a couple songs from it and they were pretty good so im excited #it also makes me realize i need to watch more of his back catalogue other than 5cm.... he has way more movies than i remembered #i hope someday he gets to make the yuri movie he wanted to. it would be unreal. huge beautiful skys. ecological disasters. girls kissing #oh i hope he gets to do it one day..... one day.....#EDIT: WAIT THEY DID MAKE A NENDO OF HODAKA AND HINA.... Expected it to be dull, or pretentious. Pleasantly, it is neither. But the ending is quite lackluster. Reminds me a lot of another Italian production, Tear Along The Dotted Line, where the protagonist goes on philosophical rants.
