Thoughts about s5 of The Cable Girls

I have just finished watching the Cable Girls and I’m so disappointed with this ending. Of course, I understand that the writers wanted to show the real war, all the losses and damage it brings but we were watching tv show, we loved these characters since s1 and then they decided to kill almost everyone!

And don’t tell me that the train couldn’t wait 40 seconds for our girls!

And speaking about Alba, Carlos and Francisco I’m really happy that she understood that Francisco is her real and one and only love, the man of her life. I knew it since the beginning and I’m glad that the show runners showed this to us and made Alba realise it.

Actually, it was really difficult to watch Francisco doing everything for Alba and her daughter in s1-3 when she was with Carlos and didn’t appreciate Francisco. She always went to him when she needed something and it hurts 💔 He loved her all his life, he lost everything for her, he always supported her even when she was going to marry another man. He almost died saving her daughter.

Thanks God Alba was with Francisco during his deep sleep. She visited him almost every night and I believe that during this year she realised that he’s the man she wanted to be and that she always loved him.

I’m curious what could happen if Francisco hadn’t burned the papers and got the company?

They deserved happy ending. So unfair 😭

The fact that the ending to the series makes it so that all of the couples are now tragic and non endgame makes me so sad! Whether you shipped Lidia/Francisco, Lidia/Carlos, Marga/Pablo, Marga/Julio, Ángeles/Cuevas, Carlota/Oscar, Carlota/Miguel, or Carlota/James; none of them get to be together and happy in the end, and it just breaks my heart. 💔
