Prompt
————
The many nights in preparation of telling their parents that they were a part-time hero did not ready them for the possibility that Villain would confront their mom in this matter.
Tapping their foot, Villain waited after ringing the doorbell. Hero prayed that their mom wasn’t home. She did not like the idea that there were kids sacrificing themselves to ensure the city’s safety. But it didn’t stop Hero from approaching the Hero Association.
Money was tight. And they were reckless.
The door opened revealing Hero’s dad, raising an eyebrow at the two of them until he saw the maskless crime-stopper. “Babe, you’ve got to see this!” He shouted behind his back, earning a slight chuckle from Villain and a wide-eyed expression from the other.
They were done for.
After a short explanation from Villain, Hero’s parents dragged Hero in the apartment before allowing the Villain to make themselves at home.
After patching the Hero up and ordering Hero’s younger sibling to not eavesdrop, the family sat down at the dinner table. The father was the first to speak, “Did my child kick a—”
“Honey.”
She cleared her throat. “I apologize for his informality. I have a lot of questions but one thing is for certain,” She glanced at Hero, “You are no longer working at the Hero Association. Do you hear me?”
“But I—” They stopped themself. How many nights had Hero spent, fighting crime when their mother wasn’t aware of it?
How many times have they returned home, covered in injuries when they could’ve been catching up with their friends. Or finishing that art project. Hero averted their gaze in guilt. “Yes ma’am…”
Unwrapping a coffee candy, the Villain spoke, “We’ve got a lot to go over.”
Many questions, one-thousand lectures, and a few jokes later, and the Hero found themselves staring at their ceiling in disbelief. They checked the window to see if the Villain had left before their dog started licking them. They ruffled his fur in return.
“Missing me already?”
The crime-stopper rolled their eyes before suddenly turning toward the criminal. “Why did you… not kill me right then and there?”
The only sound that came from the villain was a huff. “It wasn’t until I got a close look of your face did I realize how young you truly were. Personal feelings got the better of me.”
The hero narrowed their eyes but took the answer. “Thanks.”
Due to Villain, they got the final art project finished, feed the dog, and could sleep peacefully without worrying about a bajillion things, excluding the geometry test. “Will you continue being a villain?”
The other did not answer. There it was. That odd, cold expression.
“If you do, well… I might come back for you in the future.” Hero grinned at this, “And I’ll give you a hugattack!”
“A what?”
The hero didn’t answer as their parents lead Villain to the exit, thanking them for the conversation.
Hero waved the villain goodbye, hoping they’d see Villain when the time was right but little did Hero knew,
They would never see them again.

Sleepless Fights
Partly inspired by a combination of this snippet from @hufflepuffwritingstuff2 and this snippet from @saltydumplings
It's just sleepy fluffy softness
Tumblr media
"My gods hero, you can barely keep your eyes open,"
"I'm fine," they grit out, despite their eyelids fighting to close, "just... fight me already...."
"If I started singing right now you'd probably drop. You really think you can help anyone- never mind fight me- like this?" The villain asked casually, completely unintimidated by the approaching hero.
Said hero abruptly stumbled, having not noticed the vine that had grown and snagged their ankle.
"Hey-!" The vine twirled, causing the hero's back to hit the ground.
Sluggishly, they pulled themselves up, but the delay in the movement was enough time for another vine to sprout and wrap around their wrists.
"Seriously? This is... this is cheap, even... even for you," the hero said, speech slurring slightly as they tugged on their wrists.
When they didn't receive a response, they looked up to where the villain had previously been standing to find it empty, "hey where-"
"You're so tired you couldn't even hear me behind you, hero," the criminal's voice sounded scolding, almost disappointed, yet caring.
Before the hero could reply, they felt something like a jacket being laid over their shoulders. They hadn't even noticed the chill of the night air until it was contrasted with the warmth still emanating from the fabric.
Gods, it was comforting, like a warm blanket that had just come out of the dryer, and they couldn't help the way they relaxed and sink into it. It radiated through their body, heat relaxing their tired muscles.
The hero hadn't even realized they'd closed their eyes until they snapped open at the feeling of two arms wrapping around them from behind.
"Hey-! Wa-"
"Shhhh,"
"N-no! I-"
"Do I need to test out my singing theory?" The villain cut them off in a soft voice, sounding slightly amused, "because you wouldn't stand a chance, you're-"
"I can't!" The hero cried, suddenly struggling with more vigour, "every time I sleep someone- someone else is in trouble and- and-"
"Hero," the criminal said firmly, arms tightening snugly, "so help me- I will cocoon you to the ground in vines if you don't stop struggling. You can't help anyone like this,"
"You- you don't know that!" The hero replied. What little energy they had left had been quickly drained, leaving their entire body feeling heavy.
"I do," the villain replied, "because usually, you could break free of vines this small with no problems,"
The hero wasn't exactly sure when, but at some point during their struggle, the villain had pulled them back flush against their chest. The warmth coming from them felt nearly impossible not to melt into. They were so tired.
"I- you can't make me sleep on the ground in the middle of nowhere-"
"Are you seriously that tired that you forgot where you are? We're in my garden, hero. Why do you think there are so many vines for me to control?"
"I- uh-"
"That was rhetorical, buttercup,"
"I can't just sleep in your garden-"
Suddenly the hero's world went dark when the villain's hands gently covered their eyes. The darkness made it that much harder to stay awake. They felt the alien sensation of teleporting, feeling the cold grass beneath them morph into soft sheets.
"Better?"
The vines also vanished, but the hero lacked enough energy to even sit up. Their entire body felt heavy.
"This is cruel," the hero whined quietly.
The criminal behind them chuckled quietly, moving their hands in order to lay the hero down beside them onto the pillow, then tugging the blanket up over them.
"I don't... I don't want... want to sleep..." the hero slurred, already halfway to unconscious; they reached haphazardly and clumsily toward the criminal next to them.
The villain signed, trying to sound annoyed, but the soft, fond smile on their lips told a different story, "you're a pain, hero," they complained, reaching up card their fingers through the hero's hair.
"That's... cheating," the hero whined again, but leaned into the others hand regardless.
The villain just chuckled, scratching the hero's scalp softly.
As it turns out, the criminal had been right earlier because the second they started singing softly, the hero didn't stand a chance. They were out like a light.
The villain sighed, continuing to card their fingers through the other's hair as they gazed down at them. This hero was going to be the death of them, they were sure.
Yet they wouldn't have it any other way.

Prompt #30
“My sleep schedule is fucked,” hero started, scratching their hair. “So I’d like to request a day off.”
“Sir, this is a Wendy’s…" the cashier’s voice faltered, lightly trembling.
“Mm… well… I’d like to quit my job.” hero blurted out, a couple of chuckles making their way out of the hero’s mouth. “I heard villains make a hundred thousand a month…”
The cashier jumped. One hundred thousand?! A month?! That would pay all of the bills they owe to their landlord in just a second.
The hero formed a weary smirk on their lips. “Surprising right? That’s not all though, I heard-”
“Just tell me what you want!” The cashier snapped, already annoyed by the hero’s shenanigans.
“Be my villain sidekick.”

Prompt #29
“Got you flowers,”
“Go away.” The villain waved off, already annoyed by the reports from their henchmen. Hero didn’t stop from entering into the villain’s office, and they wouldn’t. They could tell that Villain needed a break.
Ever so gently, Hero pecked a kiss on the villain’s lips. They cheekily smiled when they saw Villain flustered by the sudden action. “Take a break, you really need it.”
“I-I don’t need a break… I’m fine, really.” Villain replied, glancing away from the hero. Hero put down the flowers and sat on Villain’s lap. “Jeez, you’re really playing hard to get, aren’t you?” Hero said, nearly closing the gap between Villain’s lips and the hero’s.
“Hero we-”
“Hush now, the work can wait. Right now we can…” hero titled the Villain’s chin to face them. “..spend our time together, maybe even get a little naughty if you’re up for it.” Hero smirked, making the villain’s face even redder than before.

Prompt #28
Ever since the new villain appeared, they’ve been giving the heroes and city a hectic time. Hero, who barely goes on missions due to their lack of communication, was now patrolling the streets of Metropolis.
“Look! Over there!” A civilian pointed out, as a crowd of people looked up and saw the villain. Hero immediately sprang into action and confronted villain.
They forgot the thousands of people watching them. “I’ve never seen you before,” the villain started, studying hero “You seem nervous. Which is weird because all of the heroes I’ve encountered are full of bark and pride.”
Hero trembled, trying to find the right words, words that wouldn’t upset the villain— or even offend them.
It was no use, they decided to pull out their notebook and pen, confusing the villain once more.
Hero faced the notebook to villain. It sounds like you’ve meet a lot of heroes… I can’t even hold a conversation with anyone, let alone a hero
The villain pitied the hero, so they whipped out a pen from their pocket and wrote in hero’s notebook.
I wouldn’t recommend talking to other hero, he wouldn’t even give you the chance to reply, also have you tried blowing up buildings? It’s fun.
Hero chuckled. Maybe their first friend can be villain.

Prompt #27
“What is tocino?”
“Bacon.”
Hero sidekick wrote down the answer into the box. For the sake of a mission, they started learning Spanish. They didn’t expect villain sidekick to know Spanish, but their accent proved otherwise.
“Do you put the fancy é when writing estas?”
Villain sidekick thought about it for a few seconds and then answered, “No, but you put the fancy á in there.”
“Thanks.”
“De nada.”
Hero sidekick smiled, knowing what villain sidekick just said.

Supervillain’s Younger brother
Original part 2
Once the sound of opening folders was heard, supervillain sighed heavily. They figured that killing hero would have to be planned out, which needed time, and of course, they don’t have such a valuable thing. That wouldn’t stop them though. Nothing did.
Opening the doors towards the outside world, supervillain inhaled, then exhaled. The scent of smoke disturbed their calm mind, but that wasn’t as important as the task at hand.
They recently got a message from the mastermind that hero has been in a few… tight ties with someone, and for some reason, mastermind had thought it would be a good idea for supervillain to know first before giving the information to other villains. As much as supervillain tries to stay away from the business hero and villain has, the superior criminal still managed to be in the middle of their tightrope.
Not too far away, an explosion was heard. Hearing this was like an everyday thing to supervillain. They walked through the streets of the so-called ‘dark side’ of the city until they reached the famous part of Metropolis.
Would you look at that, a building on fire.
Supervillain was about to shrug it off until they saw a glimpse of the hero, the same hero who had returned their younger brother. The hero saw them too, but continued to rush toward the building in fire. Jackpot.
Supervillain watched as the screams of civilians and collapsing walls unraveled. They jumped into the flaming building and searched for the hero.
“Let me go! I only— Ack—”
Supervillain raised a brow and went to the direction of the voice. A group of people, who seemed like teenagers, were holding the hero hostage. The criminal expression was both confused and angry.
Hero was… hero. They shouldn’t be under the hands of low-life teenagers but at the same time… that was supervillain’s target. The hero whom they planned to kill but was ever so bluntly interrupted.
Supervillain carefully followed the group of teenagers into a dark alleyway. They made sure none of the thugs would see them.
One of the teenagers, who looked the oldest, ripped out the gag out of hero’s mouth. He crouched down to the hero and roughly held their hair against the wall. “Listen here hero, you give us the code to the hero agency, and we’ll let you go, unharmed.”
Hero grit their teeth. “And if I don’t?”
The teenager punched the hero’s cheek. “We’ll tell villain, the one you’re stuck in ties with, about your little sister. I heard she’s from Springville elementary school. Which is not far from here.”
Hero widened their eyes, and so did the supervillain. Turns out, hero has a little sister who goes to the same school Jax(supervillain’s younger brother) goes to.
“Ugh, this is getting boring, why not torment hero right now and then negotiate?” One of the teenagers whined, grabbing a bat into her arms.
The oldest got up and grinned. “Ladies first.”
“Now the real fun begins..” the girl trailed off, clutching onto the bat tightly. As much as supervillain hated hero’s guts, they couldn’t bear to leave hero there, beaten up by a lame group of teenagers.
Once the girl was finished, she swirled the bat with her hands. “Say, if we took hero to villain like this, how would he react?”
“He doesn’t like his business being interrupted by feeble teenagers like you.” Supervillain suddenly said, coming from the shade. The group of teenagers backed a few steps. The oldest teenager sweat dropped. “Oh supervillain..! How nice of you to join us…?”
Supervillain scoffed. “You wish. I’m actually here for..”
In a swift second, the superior criminal drop kicked the teenager, picking up the gun spattered on the floor. Supervillain looked amused. “I have to say, I’ll give you credit for trying to pull the secret gun-on-the-pocket trick, unfortunately though, I know all of the tricks in the book.”
“Y-You..!”
Supervillain sent the girl a death glare. She grit her teeth and the group of teenagers scurried away, not daring to challenge the criminal. “One day, I’m going to get you for sure!” She said before running away.
Supervillain rolled their eyes. They didn’t have an ability but they sure did have high intelligence. The criminal threw the gun to the side, it was useless anyway. “Why… why did you..” hero coughed “..save me?”
Supervillain sat next to the hero. “That teenager said you had a little sister, was it true?”
Hero glanced away the criminal. “Yes, I do.”
The criminal knew something would prevent them from killing the hero, but didn’t expect hero to have a little sister. If they killed the hero right then and there, the child would be an orphan, and there was too many orphans out there trying to live their life without a parent or guardian.
“Mastermind had also told me you and villain had some business, in which it consisted of him threatening your wealth and family. He doesn’t know your only family is your little sister, does he?”
Hero nodded. They knew supervillain was smart enough to figure that out. “I’ve been trying my hardest to not let villain get near my sister, or even know who she is.”
“How about we make a deal?” Supervillain asked, facing the hero. “If it’s something about giving you a code or information…” hero trailed off, remembering the group of teenagers.
“No I don’t need that,” the criminal started “Information is easy to get.”
Hero raised a brow. What did supervillain want then?
“Take Jax to school tomorrow, and in exchange, I’ll cut the ties you have with villain.”
Hero’s mind spurred in many directions. Should they trust supervillain? Villain, as far as hero knew, could read minds and manipulate people, how could someone like supervillain, with no ability, convince him otherwise?
“But villain has telepathy, how would you convince him to cut ties with me?” Hero asked, desperate for an answer.
Supervillain smirked. “I’m not called a supervillain for nothing you know. I can’t tell you how, but I have my ways.”
For a moment, hero was optimistic. “Only for tomorrow?”
“Now that you mention it, how about for the whole week? Villain is no person to be easily convinced.”
Hero had thought about it before replying, “I am free until ten am, so I’ll take Jax to school every morning for the whole week. Just promise me this,” hero stopped, glancing at supervillain.
“Don’t get yourself killed for trying to help me. It’s usually my job to do that but…”
Supervillain took out a knife and sliced the ropes around hero. “You don’t need to finish the sentence, I already know.”
For the first time, somebody had actually saved hero. “Thank you.” they said, not sure if supervillain was willing to accept it.
The criminal got up and walked away, putting on the trench coat that had fallen when making their entrance. Before supervillain actually left, they stopped to tell the hero, “I saved you because I didn’t want another child to become an orphan.”
Hero had to process the criminal’s words, before finally realizing. The supervillain must have had a soft spot for children. Hero smiled, perhaps the superior villain wasn’t so cruel after all.

Prompts for zombie apocalypse happening in the world of heroes and villains:
-villain/hero gets bitten but instead of turning into a zombie, they’re turned into a humbie (half zombie half human) and fights the urge to not bite villain/hero
-reluctant hero is forced to team up with an eager villain who wants to save people
-high school au where hero and villain have to hide in the classroom/rooftop, etc… and get along for the sake of zombies not hearing them
-a goofy villain accompanies a kid whose dad/mom made the cure to the zombie virus. Plot twist: the kid is the cure (perhaps they have an ability to cure zombies? Or, if they bite zombies, they turn back)
-hero/villain’s younger sibling has the ability to control the dead. Once the news spread over, everybody wants them on their team but they just want to find their older sibling, hero/villain.
-hero/villain develops pneumonia(or any illness), but since medicine is scarce, and they don’t want to tell hero/villain, they hide it until it’s too late
-“I’m going to find a cure, do you wanna tag along?” “As long as I get to hold your hand.”
-sociopathic hero falls in love with the lowlife criminal they’ve been manipulating(bonus points if they decide to longer use them for their personal gain). When they see superhero or anyone from the hero agency, they get overprotective
-hero and villain sidekick find a unlocked phone, to not call for the police, but to watch memes/vines on YouTube.
-villain and hero find an abandoned motel and decide to stay there for the night. The other rooms with two beds are scattered with zombies, so they have to share one bed.
“I’m sleeping on the floor.” “You do you, I’ll sleep on the bed then.” Next morning, hero/villain’s arms are around hero/villain
“I know we haven’t been in good terms, but like, can we cuddle? I have nightmares every night and I usually have a stuffed animal to cuddle with but now I don’t.” “You- ugh, fine… Just don’t get too close.” insert hero/villain stroking hero/villain’s hair whilst wrapping their legs with hero/villain’s.
-bunch of kids save hero and villain from a horde of zombies.
The leader tells them that they are impulsive and are immature. In the background, the youngest has already gathered food, the smartest has found a ton of blankets, and the smallest borders the door. Hero and villain are impressed yet annoyed.
-touch starved hero/villain with humbie hero/villain.
“Can I at least get a hug?” “I’m afraid that I’ll bite you if we do that.” “You haven’t bitten me yet.” “Only because my instincts are holding back my hunger.”
Or, “We’ll go to the rooftop, save the survivors and-” hero/villain holds the halfling’s hand. For a moment, they stared at each other’s faces but hero/villain let go. The other mumbles to themself before trailing behind the halfling, “wish it lasted longer…”
-hero and villain sidekick coming up with a plan for a zombie apocalypse cause of their love for sci-fi but wait, it happens and holy shit we have a base and enough food to last for months
-hero and villain finally going to the supermarket but one of them spots their favorite snack/drink or both and run to get it, unaware of the zombies. Now hero/villain have to protect their lil’ dumbass from dying
-high school au where hero and villain are in their school uniforms, unaware that they’re enemies, but survive together and become best friends (they start to notice when one of them has a familiar fighting style or if the other has a familiar dodging ability)
-“get me a hammer.” “Here,” passes a wrench “A hammer!” “Oh sorry, I’m partially blind.” passes a torch “You know what, I’ll get it myself.”
-Two civilians who aren’t getting along, are hiding in their cubicles. Little did they know, they’re both dating in their hero and villain identities.

“Listen here you big bad villain, you just don’t appreciate my gun, pow-pow.”
“It nearly injured a civilian!”
“Since when did you care about civilians?”
Villain was sure they were talking to the bright-shining hero who saved people and seemed vulnerable, not some lunatic who dances with broken robots in the middle of the night.
“I don’t, okay? It was just a supporting detail to my argument.”
Hero tilted their head to villain with a raised eyebrow and bursted out laughing.
Villain took a step backwards. Away from the so-called hero.
Hero recollected themself after a few laughs, wiping off the tear from their eye “You sure do have a sense of humor,”
“And you’re charming no matter the expression on your face, a cute feature of yours that no one in the entire world could ever have…”
“W-What do you mean?” villain managed to ask. Smiling their angelic smile, hero answered, “To put it simply,” they started, taking a step forward towards the criminal
“You’d be the perfect partner for me and only me.”

Supervillain's younger brother
A continuation of prompt #26 with the ideas of @yuluyumoo and @gwynsly :D
———————
Turning their whole body to face the boy, they replied "Lost? What do you mean? Where are your parents?"
"They passed away a long time ago. My older sibling takes care of me now."
"Oh..." They trailed off, crouching down to the boy "Why would you want me to take you to supervillain's lair then?" hero whispered, ignorning the questions from the crowd.
"Because," the boy whispered "Supervillain is my older sibling."
Hero didn't believe it at first, but the way how similar the kid and supervillain looked, hero was convinced.
Hero grabbed the child's hand and rushed their way out of the crowd of flashing camera's and reporters.
Remebering the way to supervillain's base, due to a sidekick accidently going there, they went into the side of the city where criminal rates striked the highest.
The hero agency had warned hero about the extreme dangers there and how the government couldn't take back what was rightfully theirs due to supervillain striking a deal with the governor.
But, that was none of hero's business. All they had to do was drop off the boy here, and go on with their day.
"Thank you for leading me here, kind hero!"
Hero couldn't help but smile at the boy. "You're welcome, I'll get going now." hero waved goodbye to the boy. He waved but then stopped when he saw something approach hero.
"Watch ou-"
Hero turned around without a second thought, and bumped into somebody.
The two fell to the ground.
"I knew it. My day was going too smoothly…"
Hero immediately recongized the voice as soon as they heard it. Supervillain.
"Supervillain!!" the boy exclaimed with happiness as he rushed to his older sibling and hugged them.
"Jax? What are you doing out here?"
"I forgot to tell you we had early release today, and got lost while trying to go back home but I asked this person to lead me to your lair," he pointed at hero.
"Thanks to them, I got here safely hehe."
Supervillain stared at hero with darkened eyes. Hero noticed the criminal staring at them and scratched their head.
Jax then faced supervillain who switched to smiling in a quick second.
"Can we have chicken strips and mac'n'cheese for dinner?"
Supervillain chuckled. "Sure, as long as you complete all of your homework."
"I will!"
Jax got onto supervillain's back and imitated a train. "Cho cho!"
Hero watched as the two laughed, smiled, and made jokes. Hero felt like they were the first person to see this miracle, but duty calls.
Back at supervillain's lair, the two were now having a conversation. "I only have to do a coloring match, that's all."
"I see, and did you have fun?"
"Mhm! I got to play tag in recess!" Jax replied. Supervillain chuckled “Oh boy, do I miss recess…”
There was a moment of silence before supervillain spoke up.
"So... I thought I told you to stay away from the heroes. What happened?"
Jax laid his head on supervillain's hair. "You always told me that, but hero didn't seem like a bad person, so I kindly asked them to lead me to your base."
Supervillain sighed. They were definitely going to kill hero for this.
"I'll have a little chat with hero, meanwhile, you go do your homework. How does that sound?"
"Awesome!"

I’m thinking of continuing this with that idea… @yuluyumoo @gwynsly
Prompt #26
The child watched from afar, glancing at heroes who were cuffing robbers.
Supervillain had always told them to stay away from the heroes but... they didn't seem like bad people.
The child went down the ladder, and went to the crowd of people that were surrounding the heroes. They easily went through the crowd, and tugged on of the heroes cape.
Putting up the innocent child look, they asked "Do you know where supervillain's lair is? I'm lost."
