“I wonder what WoF Lego would be like” - Me, about to start cooking

I feel like they’d either make the dragons big collector sets, entirely brick built, make them normal minifigs, or make special molds for each tribe and just use different prints depending on the character.

I feel like the first wave of sets would likely be arc 1, since that makes the most sense.

anyhow. This is what I think wings of fire Lego sets could be like. I’ll probably do more in the future when I read more of the series. Don’t take these as 100% confirmed undeniable proof that Lego will make wings of fire sets.

ARC 1:

BOOK 1:

SET 1: Dragonet Cave Escape

Builds: The DoD cave, Table and shelf for scrolls, cave door

Minifigs: Kestrel, Dune, Clay, Tsunami and Starflight

Play features: the door would have the ability to open and close.

SET 2: Skywing Arena

Builds: Skywing Arena Pillar, Arena Balcony, Glory’s fake tree and Scarlet’s throne.

Minifigs: Queen Scarlet, Peril, Clay, Tsunami, Gill, Glory, Princess Burn, and 3x unnamed Skywings

Play feature: Scarlet’s throne would have a mechanism that knocks her off of it.

The unnamed Skywings would have spears.

BOOK 2:

SET 1: Royal Hatchery

Builds: Royal Hatchery, Orca’s Statue, Hatchery Doors.

Minifigs: Tsunami, Orca’s Statue.

Includes a printed egg piece to represent Auklet’s egg, and a spear for Tsunami. The statue can be removed from its base.

SET 2: The Summer Palace

Builds: The Summer Palace, tables, shelves.

Minifigs: Tsunami, Queen Coral, Anemone, Riptide, Commander Shark, Whirlpool, Princess Blister, 5x unnamed Seawings.

Play features: Each floor is removable, allowing for easier access to play with minifigures.

Two of the unnamed Seawings would have spears. Whirlpool would have a 1x2 flat plate with a scroll printed on it. Coral would have a double-sided head. One side is a calm face, and the other an angry face.

BOOK 3:

SET 1: The Rainwing Village

Builds: A large platform, plants and hammocks. The Queen’s Throne Room

Minifigs: Glory, Mangrove, Queen Magnificent, Tamarin, Jambu, Liana, Mango, Grandeur, Bromeliad.

SET 2: Blaze’s Fortress + Enchanted Tunnel

Builds: Blaze’s Fortress, Enchanted Tunnel

Minifigs: Blaze, Mangrove, Glory, Deathbringer, 1x unnamed icewing, 2x unnamed sandwings

Play features: The enchanted tunnel would have a play feature where you can put a minifig inside, turn a piece on the top, and the minifig would spin around to the other side.

The tunnel, on one side, would be rainforest terrain, with plants, and sand and rock on the other.

SET 3: Volcano Tunnel Builds: The Volcano Tunnel + Rainwing prison.

Minifigs: Glory, Kinkajou, Orchid, Deathbringer, 2x unnamed Nightwings. Play features: The prison’s back walls and roof would be removable, and the doors can be opened. The unnamed Nightwings would have spears, and one has a key to open the doors.

The volcano tunnel would have the same rainforest terrain on one side, but would have rock and orange lava on the other side instead of sand.

BOOK 4:

SET 1: Nightwing Library

Builds: The Nightwing Library, Bookshelves and tables.

Minifigs: Starflight, Morrowseer, Flame, Squid, Ochre, Viper, and Fatespeaker. 2x unnamed Nightwing

Includes a dreamvisitor printed onto a 1x1 flat round tile.

SET 2: Nightwing Lab

Builds: Tables and scientific equipment

Minifigs: Mastermind and Starflight.

SET 3: Battlewinner’s Cauldron

Builds: Battlewinner’s Cauldron, rock terrain.

Minifigs: Battlewinner, Starflight, Greatness, Fatespeaker

Play features: The cauldron would have a mechanism where Battlewinner can be lowered inside, while a “frozen” (translucent blue) version of her minifig is launched out. Translucent yellow, orange and red studs could also be dumped out of the cauldron.

BOOK 5:

Set 1: Scorpion Den + Enchanted Tunnel

Builds: Scorpion Den gate, market stalls, Thorn’s tent, Enchanted Tunnel

Play features: The cage would be able to be opened up, so Scarlet can be put inside. The roof and walls of the tower can open up to allow access inside.

FINAL SET: The Brightest Night Battle

Builds: The Sandwing Stronghold, desert terrain.

Minifigs: Clay, Tsunami, Queen Glory, Starflight, Sunny, Thorn, Smolder, Flower, Queen Glacier, Queen Moorhen, Queen Coral, Queen Ruby, Princesses Blister, Blaze, Burn, Peril, 5x unnamed Sandwings, 3x unnamed Skywings, 2x unnamed Seawings, 1x unnamed mudwing, 1x unnamed icewing.

Includes a box and two snake pieces, printed to resemble dragonbite vipers. Set would include a special molded Eye of Onyx piece for Thorn.

The set would be able to be combined with the Weirdling Tower as well.

So…I can explain

Recently Hero Forge added something called kitbashing, which basically means that you can add and adjust just about anything on your minis, meaning I am no longer restrained by basically anything.

So, of course, I had to make a design update for the kids.

I also saw this as a good opportunity to change some of their core designs, because they were made when I was a total newbie with Hero Forge and a lot of their colour palettes come from just, the default ones. Also changed up some design choices I made and have been dissatisfied with, so just basically upgrading everyone. I’ll explain what has been changed under every design lol

Liana

Just gonna start by saying I really love this dark cerise as her signature colour, it suits her really well. Also the teal and sorta peach colour for her vest, it kinda reminds me of copper and I think it’s cute. Her lil hat, tie brooch, hairstyle, and monocle are all kitbash parts. Especially happy with the monocle thing, cause previously it’s been sitting way too close to her eye and it just looked bad

Permanent design changes:

Darkened the hair to look more like Grian’s shade

Upgraded the wing designs, both the parrot and the watcher wings

Changed the hue of her watcher wings to a more faded transparent purple

Wes

I loooooove designing Wes, it’s so different from the rest of the kids (Mainly cause he’s got more muted colours lol). I debated for a while if I was gonna let him keep the moss cloak still, but I think it’s a good recurring item, and also a fun thing to be tied back to Bdubs. Changed up the design to how I used to do it, but stopped for some reason lol. The only kitbashed things are the clock on his hip, and his hairstyle.

Added black scales (Can only be seen on his face, but they are on the rest of his body as well)

Changed his horn and tail colours from orangy yellow to black

Gertrude

Gertrude truly allows me to be creative with her theme, it’s always fun to figure out the best way to mix the princess and warrior aspects of her. Her cloak was made through kitbash, as was her hair and glasses (or at least their placement). It’s also because of kitbash that she can have dreads for the first time, which I’m excited about, she looks great!

Darkened the fur on her ears and tails

Johnny

My son! The endless struggle when it comes to Johnny’s outfits continues, but at this point I’ve given up and resorted to just reusing old clothing options, just new colours and combinations. The lil straw of hay is a delight, I love that it was added it fits him surprisingly well. Only part of him that’s kitbashed is the hair.

Permanent design changes:

Adjusted the colour of the fire in his hair and on his tail

Changed his tail design, from a draconic one to a simple flame

Added some red around the edges of his face

Changed the colour of his eyes

Removed the horns

Changed the shape of his claws

Jassy

She’s so cool I love her. One thing that’s fun with Jassy is that all the kids have a signature colour, Jassy’s being grey, and yet she never wears it lol, she’s just green part 2. Thanks to Kitbashing, I now no longer have the struggle of trying to maneuver horns to make her hair, so that’s a relief. The feather earring, a gift from Liana, was also placed with Kitbashing.

Permanent design changes:

Her eyes are now brown. I don’t know why I made them green in the first place, but that’s now fixed

The green streak in her hair is now a much brighter shade of green.

You can’t see them fully, but she has tattoos! A pair of wings on her chest and back, in Liana’s dark cerise colour. She loves her wife, what can I say?

Jekiv

Jekiv’s designs are actually a bit of a struggle, cause it’s hard to mix the undead necromancer thing, with bright pastels. I do like it as a design aspect tho, don’t get me wrong lol. I changed up the design for his Scythe, cause it’s bigger and more jagged and it just looks a lot cooler. His hair and magic are both made with kitbash. Also look at those acrylics 💅

Permanent design changes:

Darker and more muted shade of blonde for his hair

Novo

I struggle a lot with figuring out what poses the kids should all have, but with Novo it’s a breeze, cause it’s just to pick an instrument and pray. And in my experience, tambourines can be some of the most annoying instruments, even if you do know how to play it properly, which he of course does not lol. Only his hair was made with kitbash (I had a lot of fun with hair this time around lol)

Permanent design changes:

His eye colour has been changed from a simple brown, to a more dark reddish shade. If you zoom in you can see it better

Added more freckles to his arms and chest (And legs, tho you can’t see that)

I actually considered changing the hue of his hair, but it just looked very wrong so I kept it

[Wings of Fire] H-K Dragon Character Headcanons

I'm back! And to celebrate, here is a longer (maybe) post of some character headcanons. Some of these letters have very few characters so I just decided to put them together and make a maybe longer post.

Hs

Hailstorm - ever since he returned to the Ice Kingdom, he started to get somewhat better, but he still doesn't feel like a full IceWing. He wants to help his tribe, but he also doesn’t know how to act like himself. Snowfall related to him ever since she experienced her visions, so she decided to make him a part of her new council as an ambassador in Possibility, so Hailstorm returned to the city where he made amends with Eagle. The two started dating after that.

Handsome - Handsome is Grandeur's brother. The two meet up and gossip often. Most dragons think that they are dating because they are so old that barely anyone remembers that they are siblings. After Grandeur and Tapir ended their relationship, Tapir and Handsome started dating, which the two siblings often bicker about.

Harrier - Harrier is the mother of Peregrine and Garnet. They lived in the SkyWing palace during the war, but her dragonets were too young to be sent out as soldiers, so she didn't have to leave like Avalanche did. Once JMA academy opened, she sent her sons there so that she could become one of Ruby's most active guards.

Hawk - after Chameleon's masks became their own dragons, Cirrus was sent to the Sky Kingdom to be the IceWing ambassador there. The two became friends and later lovers.

Hawker - Hawker is the older brother of Bombardier, but ever since Hawker was assigned to be a guard, he didn't get to see his family often, so the two were reunited after years when Hawker came to the LeafSilk Kingdom. In the LeafSilk Kingdom, Hawker continued to work as a guard, but now happily protects the borders from other HiveWings.

Hawthorn - Hawthorn was the brother of Sequoia, so although she banished him away in the jungle, she still missed him dearly. Back before the Tree Wars, Hawthorn was dating Fritillary and after he was sent away, he would make wood carvings of his old flamesilk lover.

Hazel - after returning to the LeafSilk Kingdom, Hazel stepped down as queen so Sequoia could continue to rule. Hazel is set to be the next queen, but first will go through training. While she is not the queen, she is given the position of tribe leader, a role given to several trusted LeafWings who help Sequoia to maintain order and feedback throughout the whole kingdom. Hazel also spends her time making and writing books, starting up and managing the library in the new Treetop Palace.

Heliconia - Heliconia is the older sister of Kinkajou. She and Liana start dating. Heliconia is one of the members of Queen Glory’s council for the RainWing tribe, serving as the head of military.

Heliconian - Heliconian is the grandmother of Atala. Atala is not a flamesilk, but she has the gene, however, it is unlikely that her descendants to be flamesilks.

Hemlock - after the formation of the LeafSilk Kingdom, Hemlock was given a high rank in the LeafWing military. He and Belladonna are separated at this point, but they remain friends and work together to deal with the nasty HiveWings who are opposed to the LeafSilk Kingdom.

Herring - Herring is the father of both Snails, previously being arranged to marry Kelp. The two eventually divorce and Herring starts dating Shark, but he still helps as the father of his dragonets while they are growing up.

Hope - after living in the NightWing village for a while with Peacemaker, Hope eventually joined a relationship with Secretkeeper and Avalanche. Since Secretkeeper and Avalanche both have children who are away, they spend time with Peacemaker. Hope struggles with insomnia, night terrors, and anxiety.

Horizon - Horizon lived in Blaze's fortress with his brothers Ocotillo and Torch, and his nephew, Pronghorn. When he was captured, he became depressed and shortly after he was put in the SkyWing arena, he stopped talking and refused to speak.

Hornet - Hornet was the smartest of the HiveWing ladies when it came to math. She was never interested in being queen and preferred to run her own businesses rather than the tribe. Throughout the tribes, Hornet established a monopoly within several areas of business, making her one of the richest HiveWings in all of the tribe. She was devastated when she lost all of it following her imprisonment.

Humpback - before he married Lagoon, Humpback was a studious scholar in the Kingdom of the Sea. He was from a noble family and made his way into the Deep Palace library where he studied. Lagoon's mother arranged their marriage.

Hvitur - before he left the Ice Kingdom, Hvitur had a forbidden romance with Narwhal, him only being a commoner IceWing, while Narwhal was a prince. This was before Narwhal married Tundra, but it was still very forbidden. When this romance was discovered, Hvitur had to flee the kingdom, which is how he ended up with the Talons of Peace, and Glacier was unaware of this as it was her mother who kicked him out. He is the father of Changbai.

Is

Icicle - for a very short period of time at JMA, Icicle and Carnelian met in private and got to know each other. Icicle developed a crush on the SkyWing, but tried to push it away because of her pride and her mission. When Carnelian was killed during the explosion, Icicle was more upset than she presented outwardly, and it made her want to get revenge on Sora even more. During her trial, she was sentenced to be imprisoned, but will likely have the chance to get out with her ability to challenge for the throne revoked.

Igloo - Igloo is the head chef of the IceWing palace. He and his dragonets, siblings Ivory and Polar Bear, live there. Before her death, Igloo was close friends with Glacier, having met during school as dragonets.

Inchworm - Inchworm moved to the LeafSilk Kingdom with his daughter Glowworm. There, he got a job as a fisherman and he and his daughter live near the bay.

Indigo - while living off the coast of the Rainforest Kingdom, Indigo would often go meet RainWings and taught them several things about the SeaWings. In the southern regions of the rainforest, there are still some smaller RainWing villages that remember what Indigo taught them and have scrolls that document their relationship with the SeaWing.

Io - after settling in the LeafSilk Kingdom and joining the SilkWing Assembly, Io started dating both Cinnabar and Tau. The three live together and are a pretty chill trio.

Ivory - Ivory is an adult, but still relatively young, not being much older than Snowfall. She is the youngest IceWing to rise to the rank of lieutenant general due to her being one of the few dragons Snowfall trusts, but also for very good leadership and dedication.

Js

Jacaranda - one of the reasons why Jacaranda turned toward peace is because she had a lover who was a pacifist. She never told Python about this because she knew that its great aunt would be furious. Despite their bitterness toward each other, Python and Jacaranda sometimes did get along and Jacaranda let Python lead the military for a short while. Jacaranda's dragonets became the lineage for the RainWing royal family, going all the way down to Queen Grandeur.

Jambu - when Glory established the RainWing council, she had Jambu be in charge of the tree gliding subset of dragonet care. His job was to make sure that all tree gliders were properly trained and had areas to teach. Jambu enjoys this job.

Jasper - Jasper is the father of Cliff, but Ruby kept this a secret from the tribe, afraid that it could be used to harm Jasper because of her mother. Jasper also has another dragonet from a previous marriage, Cardinal. He and Ruby never become partners, but it is revealed that Cardinal and Cliff are halfbrothers and the two get along like brothers.

Jerboa - Jerboa came from a commoner family. After her animus magic was discovered, Queen Scorpion's mother ordered her to the palace where she was raised alongside Scorpion. The two were once friends as dragonets, but Scorpion's mother taught her daughter that Jerboa was a tool to be used. When Scorpion was queen, the two had a small bit of a relationship, but Scorpion grew too ambitious and controlling, causing Jerboa to flee the court.

Jerboa II - what went wrong with Jerboa II was that they discovered that Jerboa had created them from magic which caused them to become angry with Jerboa. They eventually tried to flee from Jerboa, but when Jerboa found that Jerboa II had disappeared, they decided to erase them from existence rather than try to start over again.

Jerboa III - after eradicating animus magic, Snowfall made Jerboa III a SandWing delegate of her council. Although Boa can't travel to the Ice Kingdom, she and Snowfall communicate with each other with an old animus enchanted scroll that Jerboa made which allows dragons to write messages to each other that will show up, similar to Turtle's slates.

Jewel (THQ) - Jewel has three dragons, two sons and one daughter. After Jewel became queen, she had the three of them spread out between the Hives to help her rule the entire kingdom. Scarab is also in charge of one of the Hives. She is dating Rootworm.

Jewel (TLC) - Jewel would grow up to be one of the most beautiful BeetleWings in the tribe. She loves animals and would spend lots of time taking care of the wildlife on Pantala.

Jewel-eyes - after Foreseer takes the throne from Vigilance, Jewel-eyes is made Foreseer’s seer.

Juniper - Juniper is a fictional character, not inspired by any real dragon. They are nonbinary and Rowan and Juniper is a nonbinary t4t love story.

Ks

Katydid - Katydid and Malachite dated as a disguise, both of them loving other dragons. After moving to the LeafSilk Kingdom, Katydid started dating Sandfly.

Kelp - Kelp is the mother of both Snails, giving them the same name. She is also the sister of Tortoise.

Kestrel - Kestrel used to be one of Scarlet's top soldiers, acting as a detective almost. Scarlet liked Kestrel's ability to be stone-cold and the two developed a relationship. Scarlet wanted Kestrel to have eggs so that her dragonets could replace Tourmaline, but when Kestrel discovered that her dragonets were flamesilk twins, she became afraid that Scarlet would kill them, so she ran away. Scarlet, upset by this, chases after her and feels jealous of the dragonets that Kestrel chose them over her, so she orders her to kill them.

Kindle - Kindle and Six-Claws eventually separate, but they both still care for Ostrich. Kindle becomes a head medic in the SandWing Stronghold after Thorn becomes queen.

Kinkajou - after graduating from JMA, Kinkajou becomes a delegate of the RainWing tribe and resides in the new Night Kingdom after Firefly becomes queen. She works closely with dragonets, helping to teach them. At this point, she and Moon are living together and dating.
