Lex Luthor X reader. Like reader is a sweetheart, she doesn't actually realise what he is doing until she sees Superman
Lex luthor x sweetheart!y/n
yandere themes.
General secretary of the UN, Billionaire, Scientist, Philanthropist, Ceo of a megacompany and a very handsome charismatic man - you thought you hit the jackpot and got a unicorn( except the hair)
He was just so smooth with his words, " You work yourself too hard sweetheart, let me treat you right" he'd say or " Say the word and its yours. Afterall you give me everything I could ever want by being by my side darling" . Its hard not to fall for lex luthor once he sets his sights on you.
And when you see him in his elements, with his wit and sly charm, it could disable countries (literally has). But after a long day of doing stuff you couldn't even keep track of, here he was with you. Raw and relaxed, no facade when it comes to you. Except..well the fact that he is a murderer and a plotter - an evil mastermind. He was a mastermind, you knew that. But he'd twist his words and you'd believe he was doing it for good.
He did always have a way with words. And there is no way he was gonna let his sweetheart, his lover , the only kind loving thing in his life leave him. He thrived on your adoration, the little gleam you were proud and how you'd kiss him on his cheek while grinning when he said something particularly smart.
He had everything planned, you would never find out. He'd marry you, have mastermind kids and keep you with him forever. He had, however not planned for you to see his plans with superman. That was something he could not twist , could not make seem good intentioned.
" You want to kill superman?" "Darling you misunderstand, Im offended you would suggest something this outrageous" 'I SAW THE PLANS LUTHOR, I SAW IT ALL. HOW COULD YOU" "he is evil, superman is too powerful the plan is a "just in case"" "NO STOP LYING TO ME, I SAW THE DATE I SAW THE DETAILS STOP LYING" "y/n listen to me, you are blowing this out of proportion-"" MY FIANCE IS A MURDERER AND IM BLOWING IT OUT OF PROPORTION. I'm leaving luthor..I'm leaving"
As soon as you turn around and wipe the tears from your eyes, luthor is behind you and inject you with a sleep medication.
You don't get to leave, you'll understand..with time at least. He'll make sure of it.

The Intern: Outreach Gala
Another uneventful day for Gotham's environmental intern...
Prequel: Death of a family
The Intern: Day one
The Intern: The Laughing Fish
The Intern: Busy Work
The Intern: Outreach Gala
The Intern: Teachers Pet
The Intern: Visiting an old friend
The Intern: Chemical Valley
The Intern: Billionaire Boys Club
Gotham's public library appears unrecognizable under the cloak of night. Broad leaves shroud the outside exterior of the Gothic pillars while ivy cascades down the large door frames. Harris raises an eyebrow.
"How many forests do you think Wayne destroyed in his quest to save the planet?" He questions with a smirk.
Each grey hair is perfectly gelled out of his face. Ditching his glasses for the occasion, Dr. Harris may actually care about tonight's guests. The bouncer outside the door seemed to think the dress code was not a laughing matter.
Taking his extended arm, I roll my eyes. The security guy nods to the two of us as we walk through the door.
"Professor, if you keep saying things like that Gordon's going to question your stances on Gotham's resident Eco-terrorist. " I whisper with a smile. "....but at least 12."
Thanks to the joint collaboration between Wayne Industries, Goth-corp, and the Gotham Department of Environmental Protection. Gotham City is hosting its first Environmental Outreach Gala for the nearby tri-state area. Unfortunately for me, they saddled the newest intern to do all the heavy lifting. Young joints and all that jazz. At least I got an invite. The invites ran out before the IT guy could get one. Poor Eddie.
My heart flutters a little bit as a realization hits me. I’m actually here… surrounded by giants in clean energy and the scientific community alike. Award-winning journalists... All for the future of our planet. Passing my reflection, I smile thinking of how far I’ve come from that little river rat back at home.
A figure in the corner of my eye draws my thoughts away from the Grandma debrief. Dick Grayson, the Billionaire’s son, charms the group of ladies by his side. I take a mental note to find time to talk to him when there isn’t such a big crowd. It's been a long time since we last spoke.
The walls echo with the idle chatter coming from the rich socialites of Gotham. Waiters in tuxedos maneuver silently with a tray of champagne flutes in each hand. Considering, that most environmental professionals wear cargo pants from the early 2000s to work... the dress code was definitely a choice. I scan the room for familiar faces. Gordon flashes me a smile from across the room. I nod back. The Mayor works his way around the room with a large smile. It must be an election year.
My throat gets tight. I'm not ready for this. Looking to my right, I find that Dr. Harris has vanished into the crowd.
"Y/N L/N?" A voice calls distracting me from my nerves.
A well-dressed man strolls over. Something about him puts me on edge. Maybe it's his wicked smile or the large emerald ring on his outstretched hand. He walks with an easy air of confidence.
"Lex Luthor."
My heart does a little tap dance in my chest. The tight fabric of my rental dress makes it hard to breathe. I shake his hand politely. The party-goers go quiet around us. From the corner of my eye, Lois Lane, an investigative reporter from Metropolis, shoves through the crowd. So much for being a fly on the wall.
"I recently worked with a Professor of yours. She had a lot to say about your graduate proposal."
This cannot be happening. Memories of those long fights in the lab flash in the back of my mind. Mr. Luthor's cat-like gaze observes my reaction curiously.
I cover my face in embarrassment. That woman deserves hate mail. I could have at least been asked to type or spell-check it beforehand.
"To be frank, I originally chose the topic to get a rise outta her. Dr. Hendrix had me doing dishes for 3 weeks straight after I accidentally messed up a sample, so I wrote a proposal I knew she wouldn't like."
When I finally uncover my face, Luthor stares down at me with an amused grin.
"Even so. I'd like to discuss potential funding opportunities in Metropolis. If this is something you would think up out of boredom, I'd love to see what you can do when you put your mind to it."
That brings a smile to my face.
"Really? Everyone who I've brought it up to has been apprehensive about researching Kryptionian radiation.
"We need more scientists to ask questions Ms. L/N. Even the ones, that people don't want to know the answer to. "
The sullen green glow draws my eye once again to Mr. Luthor's ring finger... Wait, that's not an emerald. That's Kryptonite.
"Is this a personal interest of yours?" I ask slowly glancing between his eyes and his ring.
"In some ways."
An unspoken conversation occurs when he notices my acknowledgement of his strange choice of jewelry. The silence only creates more questions. Why would you wear something you know is irradiated?
"I hope to hear from you soon." Mr. Luthor concludes after handing me a business card, "There is always a spot at Lexcorp for a future scientist with your talents."
I stand there in silence watching him leave. The sleek modern design of the card lists only the bare essentials: his name, office address, and contact information in silver lettering.
Four hours ago, I was hauling boxes for the decorating committee. Huh. A nearby waiter offers a champagne flute from the tray. Respectfully, I turn them down. This dress costs more than my rent.
“Oh no. Thank you. I am… working.”
"Does work-life balance not apply to interns?” A voice interrupts.
I try not to roll my eyes at the "intern" comment. The constant reminders of my status are getting old. Starting at his perfectly buffed dress shoes, my gaze drags along the fabric of his black designer suit. Dick Grayson sure does like to make an entrance. With his dark curls and friendly blue eyes, his familiar smile knocks over my defenses. Sipping on his drink, he waits for my response with a teasing grin. His energy is contiguous. I ignore his question to ask my own instead.
“Has anyone told you that you tend to appear out of nowhere?”
His striking eyes light up with a mischievous glint.
“You have no idea.” He laughs, "It's nice to see you back in Gotham. It's been a long time."
"It has. From the rumors, you have been up to quite a bit of trouble." I joke gesturing to the envious eyes from across the room.
He raises a curious eyebrow.
“Good things I hope?”
Glancing around the room, I ignore the dozen eyes staring daggers in my direction. Academia can be such a bitch.
“Nothing too crazy: a few murders, unfounded accusations, and you might be an alien?”
Dick grimaces while tilting his head ever so slightly. He swirls his drink, yet doesn't take a sip.
“Sounds about right. Anything you believe? “
I pause... Do I play coy?
“I’m not sure an alien could do a quadruple summersault.”
Something flashes in his eyes that I don’t quite understand. For a moment, I wonder if I should have held my tongue. His suspicion morphs into the first genuine smile I've seen all evening.
“You’ve kept tabs on me Y/N.”
Before I can respond, a scream causes the ballroom to descend into chaos. Vines shoot out from under the floorboards while the native plants start attacking the guest. A woman with flaming red hair paces the floor. Her vines wrap around each person one by one…. A thorny bush springs out of a fallen leaf snagging my delicate rental dress.
Dammit Pamela. We talked about this.
Glancing at the bartender's horrified expression, I frown.
“I change my mind. I’ll have that drink now.”

So here is my first *Ahem* "Spicy fic". I really hope y'all enjoy it :).
Clark Kent !Smallville! x Black reader
Warnings: Smut, Oral (f! receiving), Unprotected P in V sex (Please be careful irl)
Read on Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/61783975
There you are stuck in the rain, the mud creeping up your loafers and on your nice white stockings. Once again your plans to escape Smallville have proven futile. Your eyes start to tear up in frustration, which makes no sense. After all you're not a child, so why should you start crying like one.
Your thoughts are interrupted by the sound of a familiar and annoying truck pulling up.
“Hey, are you ok?” Clark asks, he sounds genuine.
“Yeah, I'm uh just fine.” You answer, he looks at you quizzically. He knows how much you hate mud and all things dirty.
“Doesn't look like it.” “Well what would you know anyway?!” You spat, your pride may be bruised but it's not broken.
He grumbles in frustration, he knows you're not going anywhere without a fight. So he goes for the next best thing, you see him get out the truck his tall frame makes his way to you and then he grins a little devilish grin.
“C'mon I know you don't wanna be here out in this rain, your hair’s too important.”
“I don't see how that's any of you- Oh my God what are you doing!!!” You squeal as you are suddenly hoisted in the air and on his shoulder.
“Well princess, I'm taking you home.” He smiles.
You don't know how to feel about his nickname for you.
Usually you hate it but right now it makes your cheeks heat up in a way you have never felt before.
He drives you both in silence, he realizes that he kinda kidnapped you, and you are feeling an acute sense of butterflies. Something you could never feel for Clark Kent.
You shake the thought right out of your head, he looks over to you sort of reading your mind,
“Hey so uh- what is the deal you, I mean ever since we met you act like you hate me.”
You turn your head towards him, looking at his defined jaw, it's making you melt right in your chair.
“I don't hate you Clark,” you sigh “I just needed something to be upset at. It just felt weird to be taken from my penthouse in metropolis and come to Smallville, y’know.”
He does understand where you're coming from.
“Look, I might not be super rich and super smart like you, But I know what it feels like to be taken from my home.” He comforts you, hesitantly placing a warm hand on yours.
Before your able to pry further, you make it home. “I guess this is your stop,” He chuckles.
“You know the staff aren’t home, It’s pouring out there,” You sheepishly continue “I-I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.” You can’t even believe the words that are coming out of your mouth, yet they feel so natural.
He does his usual goofy shrug and mumbles an “Okay”.
You say your name into the intercom and your let in to your expansive house, It’s a far difference from his warm and inviting home. You both walk across polished wooden floors with high ceilings, old paintings and weapons from a time before. He felt it was all a bit macabre.
You take his hand leading him to your room. It’s hilarious when you get to your room. It's pink and filled to the brim with hello kitty and poster’s of Beyonce on your wall, it’s much more girly than the cold academic you are.
“Don’t gawk, I’m still a girl y’know.” You tell him, your words bringing him out of his trance. You take your sweater off infront of him as you're preparing to take a nice warm shower. He peaks over and sees you in your rain soaked white button down. He begins to blush as he sees your bra pink and full of ruffles just like your room. He almost gets an anime nosebleed from seeing you.
“Here I’m gonna take a shower,” You throw him the remote. “Pick anything you want, I pretty much have all the good movies.” You wink uncharacteristically and slink into the bathroom.
He turns on the tv and flips through the channels until he finds something. He hears a knock on the door, and while no one is on the other side he finds a fresh T-shirt and some comfy pants in his size in a warmed box.
“Hey um, I thought you said no one was here.” He asked you through the wall.
“Oh there isn’t, I had my robot send it over.” He rolls his eyes. Of course you have a robot, He thinks to himself.
He slips into the warm clothes, He doesn’t know however that you're peeping through the crack in your bathroom door, You notice his strong arms and wide back, He has such a soft chest. He’s jacked but not ripped and you don’t mind it one bit.
You walk out into your bed room still in your robe, He’s sitting in your bed comfortably hand on his stomach. You look out the window seeing the worsening storm.
“Hey do you wanna just stay the night?” You ask him. And while he could go through the storm no problem he needs to keep up the facade of being powerless so he just nods. You hand him your phone and tell him to call his parents.
You sit at your vanity and start to moisturize your brown skin. He looks over to your glowing beautiful skin. He's so hungry it’s almost like he’s eating you with his eyes,he almost trips over his words when telling his parents he wouldn’t be home for dinner.
There you are in your silk pajamas and a cute boy in your room, You have no idea what in the world to do. So you just get under the covers next to him. You hesitantly put your hand on his chest, and before you can pull away he takes your hand in his. The warmth he gives you makes you melt.
“You know farmville, Sometimes I think I like you.” The confession falls out of your mouth like your Niagra falls. You sit up wide eyed staring into his sky blue eyes.
He just gives you a toothy grin like no other and plants a soft kiss to your lips, after a second he pulls away. “ I was wondering when you were gonna come to your senses.”
You roll your eyes and kiss him, this time it gets deeper. You rake your hands through his messy brown hair as he places you on top of him. You straddle his lap and his strong arms cradle your back. He melts into your mouth like vanilla ice cream on a hot summer’s day, And he smells like fresh cut wood and apple pie. He tastes like a dream you’ve been desperately reaching out for but you could never hold.
He pulls away to catch his breath, with blown out pupils like he’s in love, (Well he is now lol).
“Gosh, you’re just perfect.” He breathes into your neck slowly kissing down your collarbone to your plump and supple chest.
You take a deep breath everytime he kisses your radiant brown skin. “Clark,” You break him out of his trance. “Yes, Princess?” The nickname sounds fresh and new but familiar and quiet all at the same time.
“Are you sure you wanna do this?” You ask him timidly. “Girl, I don’t think your brother himself could keep me away from you.” He chuckles into you as he slips off the strap of your top. Exposing your glowing bare breasts.
His mouth salivates at the sight of them, And in one swift motion he pulls you further into him.
He places his warm mouth on one of your soft peaks while caressing the other.
“Oh Clark,” You say his name with a sharp gasp “That feels s-so good.” You enjoy his movements as he kisses lower and lower till he reaches your soft entrance.
His eyes roam the sight, his pupils blown and his breath hazy. Your scent light and sweet envelops his nose.
He starts licking your clit with long swipes of his tongue, you sharply moan. Tangling your fingers in his soft brown hair.
He’s eating you out like he is a man on death row, and you're his final meal. And then when you didn’t think it could get any better he places his thick fingers in your sloppy wet pussy.
“Oh-Oh my god Clark,” you moan out. You're loving every single bit of attention he gives you. And he’s doing so much it’s like he can hold his breath forever he hasn’t even come up for air.
You're so focused on the pleasure he gives you, you don’t even realize how your belly feels warmer. How your toes start to curl, how your body starts to writhe and squirm. But he knows, he knows that even between the broken sentences and near pornographic moans your body is close to climax.
“C’mon princess, think you can give me me a-” and before the man can continue there you are creaming this poor farmboy’s fingers. Your back arches as you cry out in pleasure.
“GOD, FUCK.” Your words spurn him on as he didn’t realize himself that he was grinding into your bed. His dick so hard and with precum leaking at the tip. He’s afraid to hurt you with his size. He won’t even bring up the subject of his sore cock to you opting to handle his business in the bathroom.
“Oh my god Clark that was amazing.”, “Oh well I thought-” you interrupt his words with a deep and passionate kiss as your hands glide down to his member. You can almost feel the heat coming off of it.
“ I think I know how to help you with that.” You giggle. You can see his cheeks heating up as he blushed furiously.
You pull his pants down to reveal a huge throbbing cock. “How the hell am I supposed to fit this in my-”
He hears you mumble under your breath, “Y’know you don’t have to do this.” “Clark, Baby if I didn’t want to do this you would know. Now open my side drawer, there’s a bottle of lube in there.”
So he grabs the lubricant for you, for some reason he is surprised at your usage of the bottle mostly because it’s halfway gone.
“Oh relax, it's for my dildo’s, ya goof.” You giggle at him once more. He doesn’t think he’ll ever get tired of that noise.
You apply the cold lube to his red throbbing cock, which sends shivers down his spine. His chest heaves in pleasure as you stroke his thick member.
“Baby do you want me to ride it, or do you wanna be on top?” The two options scream out to him, “Can you ride me p-please?” he asks, almost nervous like he didn’t just eat your pussy like it was a birthday cake.
You straddle his lap, grinding on him teasing his very soul. You finally give him some relief when you place his tip at your entrance. He’s so big you have to catch your breath every inch on the way down.
“I’m sorry princess, I know it’s a lot,” “Oh no it’sss.” You hiss in the middle of your sentence. “I can take it.”
You finally bottom out and it feels like the air has been removed from your lungs. You reassure him that you're fine but he insists you take a breather before you start.
You slowly pump yourself up and down on his length relishing in the feeling, His hands gripping the sheets trying so hard not to hurt you. The pleasure is almost to good as his beautiful pink lips part in an attempt to breath out a silent prayer of release.
“Princess, I’m so sorry I can’t-” He grabs on to your hips, speeding up the pace on both of your pleasures.
“W-wait Clark, Oh ff-uck!” You whine as you take your arms and wrap them around his back, glistening with sweat.
It seems like his strokes would never stop but as his pleasure builds with yours.
“I’m gonna, s-hit.” He hisses as spurts of his cum flow inside of you as you follow releasing on to him.
You both look at each other with boundless stars in each other's eyes. “That. was… Amazing, I never would have thought goody two shoes Clark Kent could do all of that.” You breathily laugh.
“Right back atcha, now I think I need a shower. Care to uh join me?” he asks shyly.
You smirk because the fun has only just begun.

Pacing up and down the room as she listened to the ringing phone. Continued, endless ringing is all she heard.
Her wall was gone, but the dark room and vague moonlight made for good cover from any onlookers.
"Reporter!" Batman growled causing her to jump.
She clenches her phone, looking at Batman and Superman who were hidden in the back of the room.
"Just! A few more minutes. Please! I have to know if he's ok!"
Batman walks up to her with clenched fists.
"We checked the entire building, he's safe!"
Y/n clenched her teeth before yelling.
"How could you know that?! What if he came in while I wasn't in control! What if he tried to get me to calm down and I threw him across the city!"
Superman watches Y/n break down into tears worried for him, but he couldn't say anything.
Y/n turned her back to Batman and hit the call button again listening to its endless ringing.
Superman sighs.
"Y/n, we have to leave! We need more information on-"
"I'm not leaving until I'm sure Clark is SAFE!"
Her voice echoed through the night air and everything fell silent.
Superman could hear her heavy breathing and worried heart. Until his ears picked up something else.
The door to the apartment suddenly swung open. Batman stood on guard with batarangs in hand.
"Y/n?"
In stumbled a panicked, Clark Kent? His body shape and expression matched perfectly.
Y/n gasps and drops her phone onto the wooden floor. She jump hugs Clark, who grabs her and pulls her tightly against his chest keeping her head hidden in it.
"I'm so glad you're ok, Clark! I thought I'd killed you!" Y/n sobs wrapping her arms around clark tightly.
This 'Clark' makes eye contact with Superman and Batman.
Batman didn't believe it, and Superman for sure wasn't having it.
They were both ready to jump this obvious fake, until a voice streamed into their heads. A familiar voice they knew all too well. The voice of J'onn J'onzz.
'Fear not friends. I'm here to help de-escalate the situation.' He speaks.
The red eyed, shape shifting alien, now disguised as Clark Kent. Nodded at the hero's saying it was ok and they both stood down.
Clark looks back down at Y/n and pats her head.
"I'm alright! I just ran into some things to do, when I saw the apartment from the street, I panicked!" he said very convincingly.
Y/n looks up at Clark with a whimper, then punching him on his shoulder.
"Asshole! You scared me so much, glasses."
Clark only smiles taking her hands in his then giving them a small squeeze.
"I'm sorry Y/n, But I'm more worried about what happened here!"
Batman takes this opportunity to chip in.
"Things got a little more complicated. I'm afraid we'll need to take Y/n to a more secure location."
Y/n bites her lip and kneels down to pick up her phone that had acquired alot more cracks because of Y/n's sudden throw.
She taps the phone against her hand thinking for a little.
She turns to Clark and slowly places the phone in his hand.
"I'm.. Gonna need a really big favor." her breathing shutters a little but she keeps her breathing steady.
"I need you to move my things into a storage.. At least until I can figure all this out."
She glances over at the broken wall then adds.
"And fix the wall!"
Her hands shaky but she pushes them into a comforting self hug.
Clark looks at her and slowly nods pushing the phone into his pocket.
"You can count on me! But... Will you be ok?"
Y/n forces a smile and nods.
"Sure! I mean, I have the actual Superman and Batman looking out for me!"
She glances over at the hero's. Superman smiles in turn and offers his hand to her.
Y/n felt her smile turn a bit more genuine, she turns to place a small kiss on Clark's cheek, then slips her hand onto Superman's.
"I'll be back, and maybe after that.. We can talk about that dinner?" she hesitated until Clark nodded.
Saying their vague goodbyes, they made their way out of the building leaving Clark behind.
Once on the street, Superman still held Y/n's shaky hand delicately rubbing it with his thumb.
Batman's Cape flutters in the wind as he makes a few arrangements on the keyboard on his cuff.
"Where are we going?" she asks.
Batman looks at Superman, contemplating, then at Y/n once he's content.
"Against my better judgment, we're taking you to a very secret place. But we need to stop at the cave first! Superman. I'll meet you there."
Not a second passes and he's suddenly zooming off in the bat mobile.
"Um.. How am I supposed to get there!?" She yells after him with hands firmly on her sides.
Superman clears his throat making her look back at him.
A dimlit S symbol, shimmering in the street light, floating a few feet above the ground.
Once again he offers his hand and Y/n felt her stomach drop.
"Oh shi-"
Suddenly she's whooshing straight up into the sky with her arms around Superman's neck and his arm secured around her waist. The other fist stretched out infront of him for trajectory.
Y/n, with closed eyes, bites down on her lip trying not to scream any more than she already had.
"You can't keep your eyes closed the whole time." Superman teases and stops to float silently in the air.
"Yes! I can! I will keep closing my eyes and imagining I am within reasonable distance from the ground!"
Superman's lighthearted chuckle makes her smile a little.
"Just a little peek? You'll see something surprising!"
Y/n grumbles a little before slowly open one eye then both as she looks down.
Her head spins and she suddenly inhales tensing back up. Superman stops her freak out, when he pushes her head to look at him.
"Not down! Look up." he whispers, pushing her head to look up.
Other than the dark cloud of Metropolis below, Y/n is faced with a glittering symphony of stars above her. Millions of suger grains scattered across a black abyss. A beautiful night sky that would've been missed underneath the gloom of the clouds.
She laughs in bewilderment not looking away. Suddenly her fear evaporated and bravery took its place.
"Hold onto my legs! Don't let go or I swear I will tell everyone about your red underwear faze!"
With a playful threat she places her hands onto Superman's shoulders and pushes herself up for a better view.
Superman's arms are around her thighs, holding them tight enough to try and tame their shaking.
Knowing she wouldn't fall, he watched her eyes and heared every happy belly laugh she had.
She hesitates for a second lifting and quickly pulling her arms back.
"Go for it, Y/n!" Superman encouraged.
She clenches her teeth, building up courage then slowly lifts her arms into the air.
"This is so much better than the Gotham Observatory! It's like a never ending bath bomb!"
She chanted loudly with giggles streaming behind.
Kal-el had never seen this much excitement for something he'd seen a million times. Y/n's laughter echoed in his ears like jingle bells.
Y/n looked down at Superman, placing her hands back on his shoulders for support.
"You've probably heard this a million times before, but Thank you, Superman." she said genuinely, feeling Superman slip her back down to eye level.
She places a small kiss on his cheek then quickly looks back at the stars.
Superman's heart beats faster and he gives her a small squeeze.
"Your welcome, Y/n."
~~~
A few weeks later, in the Luthor building, in a not so conspicuous basement. Lex is busy typing on a keyboard. Joker spinning on a chair with a gun waving in his hand.
"Why are we still waiting! "Joker yells obnoxiously.
"Because Luthor lost our toy." a Scarecrow hisses in the background, tinkering with his mask.
Lex slams his fist onto the table and growls.
"I didn't LOSE her! She's just out of range! My Nano-bots can't get a signal!"
He yells in frustration and sweeps all his mechanics off the table. His breathing heavy with an angry snarl on his face.
"Atleast with Batman, he would've been in Gotham half the time! We could've just used it on him!" Joker growls.
Lex clenches his teeth thinking for a second.
"No, no! She was a stroke of luck! I just need to think!"
Once an idea hits his brain he stands straight and flicks his suit back into shape.
"Gentlemen, we might need to recruit somone of a different nature. Somone suited to find our weapon."
He pulls a phone from his pocket then types in a few numbers. Joker and Scarecrow make their way to the table surrounding the phone that has now been placed in the center of it.
A single light illuminating the three villains faces and a humming ring. The phone clicks, and a voice answers.
"Lex Luthor, my favorite cash cow~"
"Floyd Lawton. You were quick to pick up!"
Lex smirks listening to the Mercenary.
"What can I say! I'm always looking out for good paying jobs. Who can I kill for ya?" the sound of a spinning gun in the background of the call.
Lex folds his arms and stands straight.
"I need you to find somone. And if possible. Bring them to me."
He leans forward, typing then sending a file through to Deadshot.
Once the file is recived, there's a second of awkward silence from Deadshot. Lex shared a glance with Scarecrow before he asks.
"Know her?"
Deadshot stays quiet for a second.
"I know her old man. He used to be an Arkam Prison guard."
"Know?" Joker quickly chips in.
Another long silence makes it obvious that Floyd answered all the questions he wanted to. Lex shakes off the question.
"Will you take the job?"
"Yeah, I'll take it. Don't worry about payment. This one is a personal favor." Just like that, the call ends.
~~~
Y/n was sitting at the big circular window, watching the globe spin below.
The Justice League Space station. Watch tower. She'd been living among supers who were eager to help.
A room dedicated to her, and a few small things like plants, picture frames, a tv. And of course the note book Batman returned to her.
The doors slide open and pull Y/n out of her trance. Martin Manhunter walks in. A beautifully made meal in his hands, courtesy of a chef-bot.
"Ms, L/n?" He asks
"C'mon J'onn it's been a while! My name is Y/n." she smiles taking the meal from his hands.
She sighs a little then places it down on the bed then sitting beside it. Her access to the mass Hall was prohibited, for superhero's privacy reasons.
"Alright! Hit me with the needles!" she exclaims holding out her arms.
J'onn smiles and pushes her arms down as he walks by to sit beside her.
"I think the Batman has enough blood samples. Any more and he might be mistaken for a Vampire!" he chuckles with Y/n.
"I can see the headlines now! 'Darkness! Vengeance! And... A lust for blood?'"
Another bit of light snickering fills the room until it fades back into silence.
"I sense some sadness in your optimism."
Y/n pulls her knees to her chest and sighs.
"Sorry J'onn, just feeling a little.. Hopeless?"
A delicate hand pats her back, her new found friend comforts her.
"Perhaps, we should continue with the next episode of 'Dancing Damsel'. I cannot wait any longer to see if Derek will purpose to Lilly."
He teases.
Y/n gasps and shakes her head rapidly.
"In your dreams! She deserves Jared! Not Derek." she's quickly to crawl over the bed to grab the remote to the tv.
Just as she hits the button a voice captures her attention.
"I personally think she should've stayed with Abigail in season 1." Superman stood in the doorway with a happy smirk.
"Sorry to interrupt Y/n. But Batman needs you."
He requests, his eyes looking over at her full plate still on the bed.
Y/n stands up and crosses her arms. Her body tense once again ready for more tests.
Superman sees her panic. He takes her hand and unfolds her arms.
"No more tests. He thinks he found a way to take the nanotechnology out of your head."
Y/n's heart picks up just a little and she's quick to hug Superman. The hugs lasts long enough for Superman to smile down at her.
An excited skip in her step, she runs back to her shoes and slips them on. She runs past Superman and grabs his hand dragging him along.
"Don't watch the next episode without me J'onn!" she yells back.
J'onn only chuckles at her sudden hope as the doors slide shut.

Love and Neighbors
Clark Kent x Reader Chapters AO3
Just a short, filler chapter guys as I get back on the bandwagon! Please enjoy <3 More to come soon
40- Ma Kent's World Peace
You were helping Ma Kent with her pie crust when you heard the old screen door creek open before slamming closed as an array of voices suddenly filled the room. Clark’s voice you could listen to over all of them as he let out a loud, bellowing laugh. Seconds later he was walking into the kitchen with Bruce Wayne and Pa Kent following behind him.
“Oh, Bruce!” You said, excitedly. “I didn’t know you were gonna be here.”
You reached out for a hug, happy to see the billionaire after such a long time, and he returned it with just as much heart. “I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by.”
“In the neighborhood,” Ma Kent scoffed. “Is that what they call flying a private jet nowadays?”
“Hi Ma,” Bruce said, kissing her cheek.
She patted his cheek before stepping back to look at him. Ma Kent tsked before pointing to the old, wooden table in the corner of the kitchen. “Go sit down, Bruce Wayne! You’re skinnier than a stick. I know Alfred has been feeding you…”
You tuned Ma Kent out as you turned to Clark. Every time you looked at him it was like looking at a full moon; standing out amongst the void which left you starstruck. With a smile, you reached for him to pull him into a tight, warm hug.
Placing a kiss on your lips, Clark mumbled, “You’re getting better at making pies.”
“Oh, you’re such a liar,” You said with a playful swat to his arm.
Pa Kent was quick to interject, saying in an almost-whisper, “I think we need to save your friend, son.”
Looking back over to the table, Ma Kent stood over Bruce with her hands on her hips. The man looked to be a little kid getting the scolding of a lifetime, now and then looking over to silently ask for help.
“Ma, how about we get to finishing that pie, so we can fatten this boy up,” Pa Kent said. “You two go join your friend. I’ll help Ma.”
You took a seat next to Bruce with Clark on your other side. When Ma stepped away, the billionaire boy seemed to let out a long breath of relief. “I don’t think Alfred has ever scolded me as much.”
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Kent gave me a good talking to when I mentioned I forgot to eat breakfast,” You said, remembering it. If every person in the world had a Ma Kent, you were positive there would be world peace.
Clark added, “She scolds me, too, and I’m Superman.”
“What a brag,” You and Bruce said simultaneously.
That surprised you, and the two of you were quick to look at each other. Mr. Wayne smiled while you laughed, Clark suddenly feeling joy and terror. He loved his two friends getting along, but the fact they had the same sarcastic humor terrified him. Turning in his chair, he asked, “How’s that pie comin’, Ma?”

Hello. I don’t know if you remember but we chatted on your Story :Delusional. I was wondering would you write lex with a male reader?
it’s never been done from what I can see and I had a rather interesting idea for one… it could be done with a woman too but everyone does that so I,d prefer a guy
THE SECRET KEEPER 🧪Lex L.
James had been by Lex Luthor’s side for nearly three years, ever since he’d stepped in to fill the void left by Mercy Graves after her unfortunate accident. Mercy had been a force of nature — calculating, stoic, and unfazed by the world’s chaos. James, by contrast, was softer, a little more fragile on the edges. But in a way, that made him perfect for the role he played.
It had all started when Lex had hired him fresh out of his prison stint. James had seen the offer as a lifeline, a way out of a dead-end life. He’d always felt a kind of kinship with Lex — both had been molded by broken homes, by abusive parents, by a world that seemed to want nothing but to tear them apart. Lex had always been the one to pull the strings, to take control. And James? Well, he’d always been good at staying in the shadows, making sure things stayed just out of view of the world.
Tonight, however, things felt different.
James stepped into Lex's office with a subtle unease crawling up his spine. Lex sat behind his desk, the city lights casting sharp shadows across his face. He was the picture of calculated calm, a man who had always been two steps ahead, always planning for the worst, always prepared for the inevitable fallout.
"James," Lex began, his voice low and purposeful, "please, sit."
James did as told, his heart already racing. He knew that tone. That was the tone Lex used when he was about to drop something monumental.
Lex took his time, leaning back in his chair and steepling his fingers as though deep in thought. Then, without warning, he reached for the decanter on his desk. "Bourbon?" he asked, his eyebrow raised slightly.
James hesitated only for a moment before nodding. It had become something of a ritual for them, the shared drink after a day of dealing with the madness of their lives. Lex poured two glasses, the amber liquid catching the light as he handed one to James.
"To us," Lex said, a rare, almost soft smile curling his lips.
James clinked his glass against Lex’s, but there was an edge to his smile, a nervous tension that wasn’t lost on Lex. The words that followed would change everything.
"I’ve decided to merge LexCorp with Wayne Enterprises," Lex said, letting the words settle into the space between them.
James blinked. "Wayne Enterprises?" he repeated, trying to absorb the gravity of it. "But… Bruce Wayne’s been missing for years."
"Yes," Lex said, eyes gleaming with something darker, something dangerous. "But his half-brother, Thomas Wayne, has bought the company. He's agreed to the merger. Though…" Lex paused, looking at James with an inscrutable expression, "no one has seen him. Not a single person outside of me and a few of my more trusted associates."
James felt a shiver run through him. "So, what does that mean for us? For LexCorp?"
Lex leaned forward, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the edge of his desk. "It means change, James. Major change. Bruce Wayne's legacy, his wealth, his influence, all of that is now mine, in a sense. But…"
James furrowed his brow. "But?"
Lex sighed and set his glass down. "But this is where I make the hard decisions. James, you’ve been invaluable to me, truly. Your loyalty, your intelligence, your discretion," Lex’s eyes locked with his, intense and piercing, "I appreciate you. More than you know."
James’ heart skipped a beat. It was rare for Lex to say things like that. He was always calculating, always playing the long game. A compliment from him felt like an unexpected gift, but it also came with a certain weight.
Lex’s smile faltered slightly, and his eyes turned colder. "But this is where our paths diverge, James."
A chill ran through James, a feeling of dread settling in his chest. "What do you mean?"
Lex stood and walked to the window, looking out over the city. "I need you to leave for the day. I think you’ve earned it. You’ve been loyal to me, to LexCorp, and now… it’s time for you to rest."
Rest? James couldn’t make sense of it. This wasn’t just a dismissal; it felt like the end of something. He opened his mouth to say something, to protest, but Lex didn’t give him the chance.
"You’ve done enough," Lex said, his back to James, his voice final.
James stood up, hesitating for just a moment longer before nodding, his heart heavy with something he couldn’t quite place. "I’ll be back tomorrow, then."
Lex didn’t answer. He just waved a dismissive hand. And with that, James left the office.
[ time skip ]
Later that night, James sat in his small apartment, staring blankly at his phone when the message came through: Lex Luthor was dead. Suicide, most likely.
It didn’t seem real. The man who had been his mentor, his confidant, the one constant in his turbulent life, was gone. James could barely breathe.
The next day, a new face appeared. Thomas Wayne. The illegitimate half-brother of Bruce Wayne. He was tall, broad-shouldered, with an air of authority that immediately reminded James of Lex. Thomas was also the one now in charge of the merger, having acquired Wayne Enterprises and taken full control.
And that’s how James ended up in the private gym beneath the Wayne mansion, where Thomas was waiting by the pool. Water splashed gently around his ankles as he gazed down at James with a cool smile.
"I often come down here when I need to clear my mind," Thomas said casually, as if discussing the weather. "Sometimes, you need a little space to think, don't you agree?"
James nodded numbly, still processing the bizarre sequence of events. "I… I don’t know what to think anymore."
Thomas smirked. "Understandable. This all must be quite overwhelming." He paused, his expression shifting to something a little more... calculated. "But I think you're starting to understand."
James didn’t respond immediately, his mind still caught on the fact this man was his new boss, replacing Lex Luthor. No one could ever replace Lex Luthor.
"So, what now?" James finally asked, his voice sounding strained, unsure whether he wanted an answer or not.
Thomas walked to a nearby wet bar and began rummaging through the shelves. James couldn't help but feel his curiosity peak. There was something almost hypnotic about Thomas's movements, the way he handled the liquor with an air of casual expertise.
"How do you take it?" Thomas asked without looking up, his fingers grazing the edge of the bourbon decanter.
James blinked, momentarily stunned by the question. It was an innocuous enough request, but for some reason, it made his stomach tighten. How did Thomas know? James had always kept his love for bourbon relatively low-key, a quiet indulgence after long, stressful days with Lex. It wasn't something he shared with anyone, not even with Lex all that often.
"Uh…" James hesitated, his brow furrowing as his mind scrambled for an explanation. "How did you—"
Thomas chuckled softly, glancing up at James with a playful glint in his eye. "I have a knack for details. And I’ve heard that the Luthor family has a very particular taste in their choice of spirits. Let’s just say I’ve been paying attention."
James’ heart skipped a beat. The way Thomas said it—so casual, yet knowing—made something inside James stir uncomfortably. Was he still dealing with Lex, or was this someone new? Someone in control of everything now?
Thomas poured two glasses of bourbon with practiced precision and handed one to James, his eyes never leaving his face.
"To new beginnings," Thomas said softly, his tone laden with something deeper, something James couldn’t quite place.
James took the glass reluctantly, his fingers brushing Thomas's ever so slightly as he accepted it. "I guess this is where I stop asking questions and just... follow your lead?" He tried to sound playful, but there was a crack in his voice.
Thomas smiled, a slow, knowing smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. He raised his own glass. "You can ask questions. In fact, I encourage it. But some answers, James, you’ll have to find for yourself."
James nodded, staring down into the amber liquid swirling in his glass. He wasn’t sure whether he felt more at ease or more on edge. He took a careful sip, letting the warmth of the bourbon spread through him, grounding him just slightly.
James watched as Thomas slid a bar tile to reveal a button. Upon pressing it, a stairway opened in the floor, making James step back so as not to fall in. He followed an unfazed Thomas and descended into a hidden lab beneath the gym. The cool, sterile environment was in stark contrast to the warmth of the pool above.
And then James saw it: clones. Dozens of them, floating in large tanks. His breath caught in his throat.
"What is this?" James whispered, his voice trembling.
Thomas smiled as he gestured to the tanks. "These… these are me. I’m not just Thomas Wayne. I’m Lex Luthor. I created these bodies from Bruce Wayne’s DNA and a few others. I used Kryptonian technology to transfer my mind into one of these clones. The life I had before was too dangerous. But now… now I’m starting fresh."
James was speechless. It didn’t make sense. How could this be true? But there was something in Thomas’s eyes, something in the way he spoke that made James feel… certain.
"You’re… you’re Lex," James whispered, the realization settling heavily in his chest.
Lex — no, Thomas — nodded, stepping closer to him. "I’m Lex Luthor. And you’re my secret keeper now, James. I trust you."
The words felt like a weight on his shoulders, but at the same time, they felt like freedom. It was the truth. The one thing that had always been elusive. The person James had known all along, the one he had tried so desperately to protect, had never truly been gone.
Before James could respond, Lex reached out and pulled him into a gentle embrace. A soft kiss pressed against his forehead, and for the first time in a long while, James felt at peace.
"Don’t worry," Lex murmured. "I’ll explain everything. But for now, come with me to dinner. There’s so much we have to discuss."
As James left the lab with Thomas, his mind was reeling. He found himself glancing at the strange, familiar man as he walked beside him, through the mansion corridors all the way to the limousine. There was so much to take in, so much to understand. But one thing was clear: whatever came next, James was in this for the long haul.
And perhaps, just perhaps, this was the beginning of something even bigger.

i. one (2.2k) — One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do; two can be as bad as one, it's the loneliest number since the number one. Or: you're two years old when you lose your parents. Your brother, a kid himself, is unable to give you the love you deserve, and you end up at twenty being as burn out as only a Gotham University student can be. So, what do you do? Change scenery, of course.
ii. hater no.1 (tbd) — Lex Luthor is used to getting all he wants — guess he isn't aware that in Gotham, CEOs have hired hitmen for much less than the stupid stunts he has pulled with Wayne Enterprises lately. You're going to show him how Waynes handle nuisances.

"The Box"
Summary: Detective!Jason Todd x detective!Reader based on Jake and Amy’s relationship
Series Warnings: Swearing, descriptions of violence (but nothing descriptive), guns and other police stuff
Series Masterlist
“I'm Lex Luthor.” A man strode into the precinct and rapped a fist on Damian’s desk. He was wearing a crisp suit and his bald head had been shined. “Detective L/n asked me to drop by.”
Damian’s eyes flickered up to the man before going back to his origami knives. He had found a new tutorial on YouTube that promised sharper cuts. “Mm, yes. The CEO who murdered someone. Spoiler alert: they think you did it.” He flagged down another officer. “Duke, can you show him to interrogation room C, please?” He waved to Lex and snickered. “Have fun in there.”
“Thank you.” Luthor drew his lips into a thin line.
A couple minutes later, Captain Wayne stood by Y/n as they watched Lex Luthor behind a two-way mirror. “What are you smiling about?” he asked.
“How uncomfortable this guy is,” Y/n replied. “I jacked up the thermostat, got the table all sticky, made one of the chair legs too short, and worst of all, I had Damian greet him.”
“What did you have him do?”
“I told him to be himself.”
Wayne shook his head. “Poor son of a bitch.”
Y/n glanced at her capitan before asking, “Why are you wearing a tuxedo? You look like Fred Astaire.”
“I take that as a high compliment, but I’m not off to sing the number one song of 1935, Cheek to Cheek, which was top of the charts for fifteen weeks and the following year was nominated for the Best Song Academy Award to The Way You Look Tonight.”
Y/n stared at him until she muttered, “I’m not even surprised anymore.”
“Clark and I are attending the opera,” Wayne explained simply.
“Ooh, the opera. Is it the one Bugs Bunny sings?”
“Yes.” Wayne turned away from Y/n and asked, “So, who's this?”
“Lex Luthor,” Y/n said proudly. “We have a clear motive, clear means, a nonexistent alibi, but the DA won't bring a charge because it's all circumstantial. If we wanna bring this guy down, we have to get him to confess right here, right now.”
Wayne raised a brow. “An interrogation with a ticking clock and everything on the line? I better call Clark and tell him I won't be attending the opera.” He pulled out his phone and began dialling. “There's someone else I'd rather hear sing.”
“Oh, damn!” Y/n covered her mouth appreciatively.
“Hello, Clark. I won't be joining you at the opera tonight-”
“Oh, sorry,” Y/n shushed herself. “I didn't know-”
Wayne cut her off, saying, “it's under my name, W-A-Y-N…”
Y/n squinted at him and finished her sentence, “you were on the phone already….”
Wayne poured over the case file which stated facts, showed pictures, and other minute details. “You're right.” Wayne nodded. “He did it. But we have no murder weapon, no witnesses, and you really didn't find any usable forensic evidence?” He was doubtful that his best detective found nothing.
“The body was discovered rotting in Ocean View. It'd been rained on for weeks and chewed up by coyotes,” Y/n explained. ”The only other DNA other than the victim’s was some bear semen found in the hair.”
“Right. Who found the body?”
“Hikers,” Y/n replied. ”You're really just gonna blow past the bear semen detail?”
“I imagine a bear mistook the rotting corpse for a female of its species and had intercourse with it.” He waved her away. “Nothing I haven't seen before.”
“It isn't?” Y/n stared at him, aghast. “I am fascinated by your life,” she whispered.
“Let's get in here.” Wayne cracked his knuckles. “Start working this guy.”
“Oh.” Y/n clicked her tongue and crossed her arms. “You're gonna come in with me? I just thought maybe you'd watch from out here, you know, pull me out when I'm getting a little too hot, possibly?” She waved her hands around. “Call me a loose cannon. You know, classic captain stuff.”
“L/n, do you know what I miss about being a detective?” He answered his own question, “a good interrogation.” He clapped a fist into his open palm. “Breaking suspects down.” He lowered his voice. “Talking quietly and then talking real loud! Looking away and then looking right in their eyes.” His eyes flared at Y/n and then he leaned casually on the desk. “Leaning.”
“That was amazing,” Y/n gaped.
“So, can I join you?” Wayne straightened his cufflinks.
“Well, a lot of these techniques do work better with two people: you know, good cop-bad cop, crazy cop-sane cop, chill cop-ADHD cop. Wanna be ADHD cop?”
Capitan Wayne deadpanned, “I think you have that covered.” He turned away and said, “let's do this!”
Y/n strode into the interrogation room where Lex stopped fidgeting with his uneven seat. “Hello, Luthor.”
Lex hummed and greeted, “detective.”
“This is Captain Bruce Wayne,” Y/n gestured to Wayne who was brooding in the corner like a vigilante watching over their city. “He's a bit of a legend in interrogation circles. Hey, Cap-i-tan, who's the scariest person you've ever gotten a confession out of?”
“Abner Krill,” Wayne said. “He was known as Polka-Dot Man.”
Y/n’s nose scrunched up. “Okay, I thought it was gonna sound a little cooler, but whatever.” She clapped her hands together and sat down across from Lex. “So, shall we recap the night that Axel Granite was murdered? Friday the twenty second? I believe you were the last person to see him alive, correct?”
“No.” Lex raised a brow. “I'd imagine whoever killed him saw him after I did.”
“Ooh, nice dodge,” Y/n complimented and leaned back in her chair. Finally; a challenge. “Tell us about Friday.”
“I had a late afternoon meeting.” Lex matched her stance, leaning back as well. He seemed relaxed- one leg was propped on the other, hands were loosely clasped on his lap, and eyes smiling. “A simple board meeting. It wrapped up around six o’clock, and Axel and I talked after. He had just wrapped up his last appointment.”
“And why do you have a doctor on sight?” Y/n asked.
“In case of any emergencies,” Lex answered easily. “We also take blood samples for some of the experiments we conduct at LexCorp, so we need him handy.”
“And who else was in the office?”
“My secretary and driver had gone home, and Cheryl, who‘s usually one of the last to leave, left early because her niece had a school play,” he explained.
“So it was just you and Axel? No witnesses?” Y/n hummed. “That's lucky.”
He shook his head. “Not lucky at all. There was nothing to witness. Axel just wanted to talk about firing one of our employees, Gretchen.”
“And that's all you discussed?” Y/n clarified.
“Yeah.”
“Nothing else?”
“Nah.”
“Zero other subjects were mentioned?”
“None. We just talked about Gretchen.”
“Right.” Y/n squinted at him. “And, of course, there's no way for me to check if that's true, because whoever took Axel’s phone wiped all of his calendars. Except…” She flipped open her notepad and sucked a breath through her teeth. “It was all backed up on his home laptop. Would you like to hear what he said the meeting was about?” She cleared her throat and read aloud, “Seven P.M. talked with Lex about-"
“Missing equipment,” Luthor finished. Once again, he mimicked Y/n and sucked in a breath. “Ooh. Did I get that right?”
“Uh, yeah.” Y/n closed her notebook and said, “But ‘missing equipment’ hardly sounds like ‘firing Gretchen.’ So maybe you want to explain…”
“He thought Gretchen was stealing lab equipment. That's why he wanted to fire her.” He inspected his nails. “Any other questions?”
Wayne suddenly started chuckling. Honestly, Y/n had forgotten that he was there. “Boy, you really thought you had him with that one, huh?”
“Well, I…” Y/n’s mouth dropped open.
“And you got so excited for it… Let me guess, you, ah, practised the notebook flip?”
“Uh, Captain, something's come up in the case. Can I talk to you outside for a sec?” Y/n interrupted. Once they were outside, she cried, “What the hell are you doing in there? You totally undermined me.”
“I know, and I apologise.” Wayne held up a hand. “But I'm executing a strategy.”
“Oh, really, and what strategy might that be?” She placed her hands on her hips. “Make Y/n feel like an idiot?”
“No, I want Luthor to underestimate you and fear me. I'll badger him with my superior intellect, while simultaneously belittling you. Once Luthor dismisses you as a threat, I'll leave you alone with him, and he'll let his guard down.”
Y/n glared at him and mumbled, “ If I didn't know any better, I would say you're describing smart cop-dumb cop.”
“Look, I thought you had him on the calendar reveal,” Wayne conceded. “But he was a step ahead. You got flustered, and I realised in the moment we could use this to our advantage.”
“So what do you want me to do, ask stupid questions?” Y/n shrugged dramatically.
“Stupid questions, grammatical errors, lose your train of thought, just ask him to confess.” Wayne listed on his fingers. “This is not a comment on you, L/n. You’re a brilliant detective. I only want to bring this guy down.”
“Yeah, that's all I want too.”
“So, the night of the murder, you met with Robert in his doctor's office,” Y/n reiterated. “Why there? Why not your office which is much better suited for business meetings?”
“He was preparing for the next day's appointments. By taking the meeting in his office, we saved time. And time is money.” He mimicked tapping a watch.
“Right, and did…” Y/n trailed off. “Nevermind. I forgot what I was saying. Come back to me.”
Wayne swept in easily, “now, we did a sweep of the room where you and Axel fought-”
“Talked,” Lex corrected.
“Right. ‘Talked.’ The entire room had been scrubbed. It had undergone industrial sterilisation to remove all traces of blood and DNA.” Wayne crossed his arms.
“It's a doctor’s office,” Lex reminded them. “Blood draws happen every day. Per law, we have to sanitise it.”
“Ooh!” Y/n butt in. “I remembered what I was gonna ask. Did you kill him?”
“No,” Lex answered calmly.
Wayne redirected the conversation back on track. “So, after you and Robert fought-”
“Talked.”
“You left the office, but you didn't take your car?” Wayne asked.
“I went to a bar, The Scotchman,” Lex said. “I didn't want to drive drunk, so I took a cab. You know, like a responsible person.”
“And you didn't have your phone?” Clearly, Wayne didn’t believe this story.
“I left it charging in my office and I didn't realise till I was already out of the building,” Lex offered easily.
“Oh, man, if I go ten minutes without looking at my phone, my pumpkin crop dies on my little farm.” Y/n shook her head sadly.
“This is not the time for stories about your digital squash, L/n,” Wayne said sharply.
“What does it matter that I forgot my phone?” Luthor completely disregarded Y/n’s comments. A look of realisation dawned on his face and he chuckled, “I had it on me, you could've seen it pinging off the cell tower.”
“So you took a cab to this bar,” Wayne narrated. “However, we talked to the employees of The Scotchman. Nobody saw you there.”
“Nobody remembers seeing me,” Luthor pointed out. “It's not surprising nobody remembers seeing me. The bar was extremely crowded that night and I spent my whole time in the corner talking to this woman, Helen.”
Wayne hummed. “Oh, so you say. But when we ran all the credit card receipts, nobody named Helen bought any drinks that night.”
Lex chuckled and held up a hand. “Trust me, Helen wasn't buying her own drinks.”
Suddenly, Wayne’s phone rang and he said, “I need to deal with this. Let's take a five.”
“Or…” Y/n suggested slowly, “I could keep this interview going solo.”
“Yes,” Captain Wayne said after a moment. Luthor regarded their interaction closely. “I'm sure that'll be, um… pretty helpful.”
Once Wayne had left the interrogation room, Y/n sat herself down at the table and smiled broadly. “I have some questions,” she said brightly. “What kind of car did Robert drive?” She flipped open her notebook and suddenly rattled off, “also, what colour was Helen’s hair, which night does the cleaning crew sterilise your office, have you ever been to where the body was found, when you left your phone at the office was it plugged into your computer or an outlet, did you kill him, and what did your cab driver look like?”
Lex rolled his eyes and sighed heavily. “This is a huge waste of time. But, here you go: Robert drove a Saab, Helen’s hair was brown, they sterilise on Wednesdays and Saturdays, I haven't been to Ocean View in twenty years, the phone was plugged into the wall, I did not kill him, and the cab driver had a beard and an earring… I'm sorry I didn't get his licence number.”
Y/n clicked her tongue and smirked. “Wow. Very impressive. You didn't even fall for my ‘did you kill him’ gambit.”
“Nope,” Lex grinned.
“Although,” Y/n tapped her chin. “It is interesting that you knew the body was found in Ocean View, New Jersey, when that information hasn't been released to the public yet.” When Luthor’s gaze flickered to her, Y/n muttered, “Got ya.” She laughed and said, “I can't believe you thought I was the dumb cop. I mean, Tim made me watch Planet Earth with the British narrator. I can tell you anything you want to know about three-toed slow-ths,” she said in a farcical manner. “I totally got you to say where the body was found, which kinda seems like something only the murderer would know.”
“Actually,” Luthor’ jaw twitched and he sat back. “Axel’s wife told me. I've been comforting her a lot lately. To help her through the pain.”
Y/n growled, “we asked her not to share that info, and she promised us she didn't.”
“Well, she's been distraught,” Lex said. “She might not remember.”
“Flimsy.” Y/n rolled her eyes. “So what did you mean when you said you hadn't been to Ocean View in twenty years?”
“My uncle has a cabin there. I would visit him as a kid.”
“So your uncle owns a cabin in the town where the bear-semened body was found. That is quite a coincidence,” Y/n commented.
“I haven't been there for twenty years. You can call my uncle if you want,” Lex waved his hand.
“Oh, we are.” Y/n nodded reassuringly. “So you might as well just confess now, or we can take our sweet time like the mer-jestic slow-th.” Her British accent came out once again. “Either way, we've got you.”
“We don't have him,” Y/n sighed behind the two-way glass.
“Luthor’s uncle said he hasn't been to the cabin in months and he hasn't spoken to Luthor in over a year,” Wayne said, tapping on his phone.
“What about the neighbours?” Y/n asked.
“There's only one other house on that road and we haven't been able to contact the owner.”
Y/n poked her tongue in her cheek. “Yeah, but Lex doesn't know that. If we tell him the neighbour saw him that night, he'll crack for sure.”
Wayne glared at her. “You want us to lie?”
“No,” Y/n sassed. “I want me to lie and you to stand behind me and say, three ‘oh damns’ when I defeat him.”
“There will be no ‘oh damns.’” Wayne said, “we're not lying.”
“The Supreme Court said that we're allowed to lie in an interrogation,” Y/n argued. “Couple of days ago I told a perp I knew Selena Gomez. It had absolutely nothing to do with the case, but I can say it.”
Wayne shook his head. “What if Luthor never went to the cabin? Suppose you're wrong. Then Luthor knows we have nothing. There goes our credibility and our leverage.” He scratched his nose. “No, we need a different strategy. Admittedly, all this dental talk has given me an idea.”
Y/n barged into the room and announced, “We have a few more questions for you, genius.”
Wayne snickered. “Genius.” Luthor slowly turned to look at him. “It's funny when people call businessmen ‘geniuses.’ Especially male CEO’s.”
“I had to build my company from the ground up,” Lex said.
“That doesn’t make you a genius,” Wayne retorted.
“I have an IQ of two hundred twenty four.” Luthor smirked. “Does that qualify?”
Wayne’s jaw ticked. “Have you made any notable contributions to science? Have you discovered a new element? Building up a business hardly qualifies you.”
“My company has contributed to many scientific endeavours, thank you very much.” Luthor’s voice was tense and Y/n’s eyes flickered between the two men.
“But were you the one actually experimenting?” Wayne pounded a fist on the table and it rattled. “We live in a society where CEOs take credit for the things-” A few moments later, Wayne was sitting in the viewing room and saying, “Apparently that’s a trigger for me.” His cufflinks were undone and his tie was loosened.
“Yeah, apparently.” Y/n handed him a glass of water. “So… now can we lie?”
“No. But you know what works? Making him confront his victim.”
“Look your dead friend in the eyes and say his name,” Y/n demanded, holding up a picture of Axel Granite.
Luthor looked at the picture. “Axel.”
“Okay, maybe say his full name,” Y/n suggested.
“Axel Granite.”
“His middle name's Holt.”
“Axel Holt Granite.”
“His wife called him Axe. Work that in.”
“Axe Granite.”
“Work it into the full name.”
“Axel ‘Axe’ Holt Granite.”
“Now say it with a frown on your face.”
“Axel ‘Axe’ Holt Granite.”
“Don’t blink so tears come to your eyes.”
“Axel ‘Axe’ Holt Granite.”
“Man, this guy is a good murderer!” Y/n cried once she and Wayne were back behind the two-way glass.
“There's got to be some way to break him.” Wayne rubbed at his temples.
Y/n’s eyes lit up. “Wait a minute. I just had an idea.”
Y/n held a guitar and chanted, “two, three, four!” She strummed the guitar haphazardly and started screaming loudly.
“Yeah, I really gotta stop trying that.” In the viewing room, Y/n set the guitar aside, huffing out a breath. “It never works.”
“Tell us more about your relationship with Axel.”
Lex exhaled. “We've been over this a thousand times,” he said. “We got along well. I mean, we disagreed sometimes, but we had a good partnership.” Luthor smirked and muttered, “he never, for instance, skipped a party so he could micromanage me as I tried to do my job. That's what's happening here, right?” He pointed towards the two officers. “That's why you're wearing the tuxedo?”
“I skipped the opera, not a party,” Bruce said. ”It’s not a big deal.”
“Yeah, it's the Bugs Bunny one!” Y/n piped up.
“And I'm not here to micromanage anyone,” Wayne frowned. “I'm here because I enjoy interrogating scum.”
“You don't think the fact that he skipped the opera has anything to do with him not believing in you?” Lex asked slowly.
“He believes in me!” Y/n defended before pointing an accusing finger at the CEO. “You're not interrogating us. We're interrogating you. Tell us about the missing equipment! If Gretchen didn't take it, then who did? Because we're pretty sure it was you. Honestly, it could have been any of your employees. They all have access to the storage room.”
“You know, it's silly, but, uh…” Luther glanced up at them knowingly. “I trust the people who work for me.”
“Captain Wayne is only here because I want him here,” Y/n said.
“Really?” He pointed at Y/n. “So you're in charge? And all these strategies have been your ideas?”
Y/n stuttered and then said after a moment, “the guitar thing was mine.”
“And you signed off on that?” He then pointed at Wayne.
When Bruce didn’t say anything, Y/n turned towards him and scoffed, “seriously?”
“I just feel bad for you,” Luther shook his head. “Your boss thinks you're an idiot; that can't feel good.”
“Alright, listen,” Y/n snarled. “You son of a bitch, you think you're smarter than us? You think you've gotten away with it? You haven't.” She wagged her finger. “Imma find something. One skin cell, one eyelash, one tiny inconsistency in your story, and you're gonna spend the rest of your life in prison. Everyone who loves you will leave, and you will die alone! And at that time, it will be your head that a bear has sex with!” A few moments later, Y/n was sitting in the viewing room and saying, “Apparently that’s a trigger for me.” Her sleeves were rolled up and she tugged at her collar.
“Yeah, apparently.” Wayne handed her a glass of water.
“He just gets us so riled up!” Y/n complained. She furrowed her brows and stared at nothing for a minute before murmuring, “I got it. I got it!”
“He's not answering any questions,” Luther’s lawyer, who had just joined him, said firmly as Y/n burst into the room.
“That's okay.” Y/n grinned. “I have no questions. That's right. I'm about to monologue, son!” She snapped her fingers theatrically.
“You better make it quick,” the lawyer said. “You have eight minutes until I file a harassment claim.”
“Alright, let me paint you a picture.” Wayne strode into the room and stood in the corner, arms crossed, listening to Y/n. “Lex Luthor, CEO of LexCorp, has been stealing equipment from his own labs.”
“Why would I steal from my own labs?” Luthor asked incredulously.
“What’s the point of this?” His lawyer demanded.
”I'll get there,” Y/n held a finger up. “One day, I'm working late when my colleague, Axel Granite, surprised me. He found out I was stealing equipment and said he's gonna file a police report. My reputation could be ruined. We fight, and something in me just snaps, so I grab the first thing I can find and I hit him with it.”
“You still have no murder weapon,” the lawyer reminded her.
“I do now.” Y/n slammed a picture down on the table. “I found a picture on Yelp of the doctor’s office six months ago, and here is a shot that our crime scene photographer took of the same room two weeks after the murder.” She slammed down another photo. “Notice any differences?” she asked.
“We're not answering that,” the lawyer said.
“That's all right, I can just tell you myself.” Y/n shrugged before continuing, “the Yelp picture has six of these glass awards in the background, whereas this shot only has five. What happened to number six?” Y/n asked rhetorically. “Murdered Axel with it!”
“I didn't,” Lex glared.
“You lost all control and you bludgeoned him to death,” Y/n, true to her word, kept monologuing. “There must have been blood everywhere, but you got lucky. You never would have gotten away with it in your carpeted office!”
“That's not what happened.” Luthor’s hands curled into fists.
“Don't say anything, Lex,” his lawyer reminded him.
“And Cheryl would’ve heard all of the screaming but she was at her niece's play. Lucky again.”
“You're wrong.”
“You put Axel’s body onto a dolly and shoved it in the elevator. It's a miracle there wasn't blood everywhere.”
“That's not true!” Luther insisted.
“Now you're in the garage with a corpse. You panicked and left your phone in your office and you don't have your car keys, but Axel’s are in his pocket so you put him in his car and take off.”
“No.”
“You simply can't believe what you've done.” She fans her face dramatically.
“No.”
“Luthor,” his lawyer placed a hand on his forearm.
“You're flustered,” Y/n placed a hand on her forehead, faux swooning. “You have no GPS, so you just start driving.”
“No!” Lex pounded the table.
“Lex! Stop!” his lawyer cried.
“Next thing you know, you're in Ocean Views, and it hits you: your uncle's cabin! He has a place there. You're the luckiest son of a bitch ever.”
“It wasn't luck!” Luthor shouted and Y/n’s jaw twitched.
“Yes, it was,” she laughed. “You got lucky at every turn!”
“No!” Luthor fumed, slowly rising from his seat. ”I knew exactly where I was driving, I left my phone in the office on purpose, I was in the doctor’s office by design, and I didn't use some glass award that any idiot would clearly see was missing. In fact, a cleaner had broken it a week before!” He leaned forward on his fists, rings shining fully in the dim light. “I made a rod out of lab glass, killed him with it, then melted it back down. It's already another test tube, son!” His face morphed into one of shock and he fell back into his seat. His lawyer’s eyes widened before rubbing him sympathetically on the back.
Wayne’s mouth dropped open and he mumbled, “oh, damn.” In a louder voice he repeated, “oh, damn.” Shocked, the police captain cried out, “oh, damn!”
Y/n spun her finger in the air victoriously. “And that is three oh damns!” she shouted out. In a whisper, she said, “I feel so cool right now. Like I’m in a fanfic.”

The Billionaire Boys Club
Batfamily x PhD student reader
(This takes place around 6 years after the Intern. )

The Intern: Day one

The Intern: Billionaire Boys Club
After interning in her hometown, Y/N was recruited to do her master's degree fully funded by Lexcorp. She had developed an attraction over the 3 years working with Lex Luthor, yet his controlling behavior led to Superman warning Y/N about the CEO's affections. Her master's thesis was on the environmental impacts of Kryptonite use and storage.
Gotham City's explosive tonight. The annual environmental gala has somehow brought fresh life into the sallow streets.
The gala's decorator deserves a raise. Lush vines descend from the high ceiling wrapping around the pillars. I narrow my eyes. Are those real carrier pigeons? Every flower from any climate you could possibly imagine flood the walls in a sweet cascade of fragrance. The sweet aroma tethers me to the present. Dick and Tim give me sly smiles from across the ballroom. Stumbling past the walls of plants, Bruce gives me a thumbs up.
"You clean up nice."
I give him a small smile before glancing down at my Wayne sponsored garb. The long satin dress hugs my hips in an almost risque manner. A respectable slit begins at my mid thigh showing off my red and black pumps. I grimace at the unknown cost.
"You know you didn't have to go all Pretty Woman on me Mr. Wayne." I joke smoothing out my silk gloves, "I do have a paycheck."
Bruce smiles. It takes me off guard. A real smile with squinted eyes and smile lines. As goofy as the most attractive man in the room can be. Compared to his work persona, it's nice to see.
"Ms. L/N, I would never ask you to spend your money to play dress up for a gala I invited you to."
I nod not knowing what else to say. An entire styling team showed up at my door this morning with rack of dresses to choose from... and the shoes... well let's just say it would have made Cinderella run back home and demand to know why she couldn't have gotten Bruce Wayne as her Godmother.
His eyes gravitate to the pendant draped across my neck. A sting of pain registers on his face. I shift uncomfortably once he starts to stare. At my discomfort, Mr. Wayne apologizes.
"I'm sorry Ms. L/N. I haven't seen that necklace in a very long time."
I raise an eyebrow. Mr. Wayne never divulges this much personal information.
"Old flame?" I joke wiggling my eyebrows.
He shakes his head with a pained smile.
"That was my Mother's necklace."
My eyes widen. Martha Wayne's necklace. Instinctively, I reach to take it off. I already couldn't afford a ruby necklace, but a Wayne family heirloom? Hell no.
"I can take it off if you-" I start reaching for the clasp.
Mr. Wayne stops me in my tracks.
"Don't worry about it. That was a long time ago. "
I still hesitate. I glance awkwardly around the ballroom.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," Mr. Wayne weighs carefully, "Besides, it might make for an interesting headline."
I scowl.
"I'm not going to like this am I?"
A devilish grin appears in response to my dismay.
"Welcome back to Gotham Ms. L/N."
Bruce's sons materialize a few seconds later. If I wasn't used to them suddenly appearing in my office, I would have shrieked.
"Tim. Dick." I greet with a nod, "Always a pleasure."
The younger boy looks at me like I am a puzzle piece he can't quite figure out where to put yet. Dick is as charming as ever.
"Y/N, I can't believe Bruce roped you into being his date. Have you ever considered unionizing?" He teases with a grin.
"At least, I'm getting paid to be here. What's your excuse?" I tease lightly hitting his shoulder. "Don't you have a hot date tonight Bludhaven?"
A painfully familiar shadow interrupts the conversation.
"Mr. Luthor."
Turning around, my legs begin to shake. What a wonderful... surprise. Lex nods to the three men before setting his sights on me.
"Mr. Luthor,"
Saying his formal title feels wrong, yet calling him Lex wouldn't be right either. Not after everything that has happened. Timothy's analytical gaze burns my peripheral.
"Ms. L/N, would you join me for a dance?"
I hesitate eyeing the audience that is forming. Extending his hand, Lex continues, "For old times sake?"
Three people stopped talking to gawk. I don't have much of a choice. With the amount of gossip mongrels here tonight, if I say no my face will be plastered on every gossip column in Gotham... If I say yes, well at least it will only be in Metropolis Gossip columns. I don't have much of a choice.
"Of course... Mr. Luthor." I agree through gritted teeth letting him drag me onto the dance floor.
If I thought agreeing to a waltz would quell speculation, I was poorly mistaken. Dozens of eyes follow our every movement including my boss's.
"You are only feeding into their curiosity." Lex whispers in my ear, "Those vultures know when you are weak."
"Is that what I am?" I question finally looking into his green eyes, "No need for flattery Alexander."
"There isn't any other way to explain your disappearance."
"-That's not fair."
The fire in his eyes leaves me speechless. This was not how I planned to spend my Saturday evening. For a moment, I fantasize on how this night could have gone. I could have had an early night enjoying take out... exchanged my favorite book with the cute guy next door. Slept in. Instead, I am bickering with a man who could be my Uncle over the fact I didn't take a job offer...and potentially start a relationship with him.
"Okay, so I cut you off." I start, "I'm sorry I hurt you, but things couldn't keep progressing like that. My project ended. It was time for me to go."
...and Superman told me that you started tracking my whereabouts... along with bugging my apartment... Go to therapy.
Lex shakes his head.
1, 2, 3
1, 2, 3
1, 2, 3
"You were offered a complete stipend. A guaranteed job offer. Why would you turn that down?"
My lips press together into a fine line.
1, 2, 3
1, 2, 3
1, 2, 3
The orchestra roars into a crescendo. The dance speeds up.
"You know why...." I hiss trying to keep up with his increasing tempo.
I've never been good at multitasking.
1, 2, 3.
1, 2, 3.
1, 2, 3-
"-Say it," Lex demands gripping my fingers tighter, "Tell me."
The ring on his left hand gets caught on my gloves tearing the beautiful silk right down the center. The radiant green draws my attention. Kryptonite. After all this time, he still wears it. Rage causes my face to go hot. I stop dancing to grab his ring.
"This is why Lex," I snarl, "Because I am sick of watching you destroy yourself. You've read my research."
A smart ass grin stretches across his face. The onlookers exchange curious glances at our lack of dancing.
"I paid for it." He replies smugly.
"Then you should know how ludicrous this behavior is. You are going to die before you win."
His eyes get sharp. I must have hit a nerve. A vein in his forehead grows prominent. Another couple dances past us. Lex tears me out of the way before I get bulldozed. A few beats later, we are back in the dance. His hands grow tight around mine like he's afraid I might disappear again. My knuckles turn white from the pressure, but I won't give him what he wants. Pain laces up my palms.
"So, you would rather waste your career working for a halfwit like Bruce Wayne?"
I freeze for a second. This is what this is really about. Lex is jealous that I chose to work for Bruce. If it was anybody else, he could convince himself that I was downgrading, but I went to his direct competition. Thinking of the conversation I had with Bruce earlier, when nobody else is around Bruce has a strange intelligence in his mannerisms. In public, he had initially joked about not reading my research, yet once we were alone the intensity of his questions made me nervous. Considering his extracurricular activities, it's unsurprising that he would want to keep his persona lowkey. How did my job search end with watching the boys club battle it out?
"I will only say this once: My life is mine. What I choose to do is my decision. Say what you want about Mr. Wayne, but at least he respects my privacy." I growl ripping my hands out of his grasp. "Have a nice day Mr. Luthor."
Storming past the "Garden of Eden" display, I slam open the double doors. God.... Everyone there probably thinks I slept with him.

The Princess and the Farmboy Part One
(Sorry I keep using the same gif lol)
Ok so this one is a little bit of a short one, only because I felt really bad that I didn't post this and I had huge writers block. I will post the full fic by the end of the month (hopefully)
Clark Kent x Black Reader.
Rated: Teen and up
Descrip: Your brother Lex decides that you need a break from the city and takes you to smallville, You think your gonna go insane from ennui. Then you (Un)fourtunately fall into the arms of one titular Farmboy.
“Mercy, tell me why I have to leave the comfort of Metropolis to go to Swampville.” you whine
“Smallville,” Mercy corrects you. “Master Luthor enjoys the small town vibe and he has friends here he wants you to meet.” You scoff and roll your eyes.
You hail from the richest of the richest, after your parents were robbed and murdered Lionel (out of the blue I add) decided that Lex could use a playmate so he adopted you. You and Lex became attached at the hip. You needed him when the memories of your parents haunting faces marred your mind, and he needed you when Lionel was too much.
Your car stops, you hear a knock on your side of the car. “(Y/n) you wanna come outside.” You hear your adoptive brother’s voice. The door opens as you take his hand. The surrounding area looks so boring to you it almost makes you barf.
“Mmm, gotta love that clean air.” Lex sighs. “I don’t know how you could like this place it’s so… boring.” you groan. You and him take a stroll on the bridge not knowing that just across the way a strong tall annoying boy is within earshot.
“I think you’ll start to like it here, It’s great when I need a break and trust me you need one.” Lex meant well when he brought you here. He’s noticed that you’ve thrown yourself into school and work more often, rarely having time for friends or fun.
The bridge starts to crack ever so slightly and Clark taking a walk hears this, he’s cautious but near.
“Fine I’ll try to stay here but the minute something goes wro-” You sooner eat your words as you suddenly fall into the water below Lex with you in tow. Something wizzes past you both, you see Lex get pulled out of the water, He’s sopping wet as Mercy goes to check on him suddenly your pulled out of the water. You cough for a bit letting your eyes adjust when you see the cutest guy you have ever seen in your life. He’s tall, has pretty green/blue eyes and his hand is on your boob right now.
“Um… your hand.” You nod to his hand. “Oh my god I am so sorry!” he screeches in your ear. He stands you up, Lex starts “You know you always seem to be there whenever I need saving.” Lex joked.
You just stood there stewing in anger, your wet clothes sticking to you, your sew-in starting to puff up. Yeah you're done with this, “Lex can we go, my hair is soaking wet, I’m cold as hell. We need to go now!” You screech that last line out spooking the annoyingly tall good looking boy standing next to him.
“She’s a bit annoying, isn’t she.”, “Dude watch it, she’s my sister.” Lex rebuttals.
“I’m annoying, no, what's annoying is that I got dropped in six feet of cold water, My hair is messed up, and now I am stuck in this hick town for god knows how long, And you TOUCHED MY BOOB!”
Lex and Clark go wide eyed as you hobble to the car with Mercy in tow, “OH AND YOU OWE ME A NEW PAIR OF THAT’S SO KATES!” you yell down to them.

The rain was soft, soft enough to keep a window open for Y/n to breath in the fresh rain smell.
She pulled her heavy, tierd, body off the bed. Rubbing her eyes, she leaned onto the windowsill and listen to the extra angry drivers on the road below.
Y/n's apartment was on the third floor of a 5 story apartment building. Beautifully snuggled in the middle with just enough hight to see a sunset or two when their there.
She takes a deep breath filling her lungs with a well deserved breather, until a very unexpected headache hit her.
A familiar one she'd had before along with a harsh beeping in her head. Loud enough to tone out the rain and hone in on the loud noise.
She grits her teeth and pinches her temple hard feeling her whole body rumble though the piercing headache.
"Y/n?"
Clark's voice comes from behind her and thw headache suddenly stops.
She turns back to see him hesitantly push the door open with his arm. He held two cups of coffee in his hands and wore only some light blue pajama pants.
Without his shirt, Y/n could see his built torso and broad shoulders. She'd never realized how incredibly buff he was underneath that button up shirt and jacket he wore most of the time.
She smiled seeing the glasses he wore slip off his nose only for him to push it back up with the back of his wrist.
"I made some coffee. Can I come in?"
His polite voice instantly evaporated the headache Y/n had brewing in her skull.
"Yeah! Come in."
She bit her lip trying to avoid stareing at his chest and biceps before delicately taking the cup.
Clark had stayed with her the night before to keep an eye on her, aswell as give her some piece of mind.
"Was the couch ok?" Y/n asked leaning onto the windowsill.
Clark nodded before sitting on the foot of the bed. For some people it would be strange having a friend join them for a morning coffee in their bedroom. But for Y/n and Clark they were comfortable enough in each other's presence to share a rainy morning together.
"How are you feeling? Did your hand start bleeding again?"
Y/n lifted her palm to look at the fading scar.
"No? Honestly, I'm surprised it healed up so fast? It's almost Super!"
Clark suddenly chokes on his sip of coffee before regaining composure.
Y/n starts laughing a little before squinting.
"What? Did I say something funny?"
"No! No! Just hot coffee!" he quickly makes up an excuse.
Clark looked at Y/n's worried face for a second before sending a comforting smile her way.
She blushes a little and looks away.
"So! I was thinking about this whole story. The acidic blood? Hallucinations? There's gotta be something big! If Joker is behind this, why not just use Joker venom again? Then two other villains toxins! So I've been looking into other Gotham villains with toxic traits? Then there was.. "
Clark listens to every word Y/n says, absorbing every thought her brain has. But at the same time he couldn't help looking at her figure, a beautiful figure that expressed itself with every passionate movement as Y/n explained.
This moment is unfortunately ruined when Clark's ears pick up a scream across the city. A car crash that lead to a pile up.
He knew as superman he had the responsibility to run off and save the rainy day.
He puts the coffee down and stands up suddenly.
"Clark?" Y/n questions.
He walks over to her and pushes hairs from her forehead. With a warm smile he leans down to her level and places a kiss on her head.
"Hold that thought, I'll go grab us some things from the store and we'll talk over pancakes."
He rushes out the door closing it behind him, leaving Y/n flattered but a little confused at the sudden rush.
"Geuss he was hungry?" she said tracing over the spot on her head where Clark had kissed.
She chuckled and finished her coffee quick.
"I think a shower would be good while he's at the store!"
Taking a towel from the cupboard she walks to the bathroom. Opening the tap, the warm water rushes through the pipes to make a comfortable hissing shower.
Y/n growls still feeling the headache threatening to rush into her brain again.
"Damn! I really need to ask Bats about this. It's getting really loud!"
She blinks a little and steps into a warm shower feeling the water fall over her face.
The warmth of the shower was calming in the cold rainy weather. Her thoughts were finally quiet.
Until her lips twist into a smile and she could feel the water turn heavy.
With an uncontrolled chuckle surprising her, she quickly holds her mouth shut.
"Not again!"
She opens her eyes slowly to see black liquid coming from the shower head. A black liquid filling up the shower floor and holding her feet stead fast.
"Ok! Ok! Breath!" she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes again.
"It's not real! It's not-" she repeated only for a laugh to once again force it's way out of her throat.
She clenches her teeth but the laughing keeps coming until she's finally on her knees holding her head. A spiral of laughter and a ear piercing ringing in her head.

Superman carried two small boys in his arms and flew over the heap of cars to a crying mother.
"Here! Now go to the paramedics to get checked out!" he ushers them on.
The mother pushes the boys into a stiff hug and thanks superman for his help.
He quickly flew back to the cars and lifted the top one off the pile, placing it right side up on the side of the road.
One by one he lifted before reaching a man hiding in the back seat of a cab. Finally seeing Superman, he is yanked out of the cars and set down on safe ground for paramedics to carry him off on a stretcher.
Using X-ray vision he scans for any other survivers before nodding to the police officers.
"That's everyone! Any other accidents that the paramedics can't get to?"
One of the older officers pushes a button on the walkie talkie buttoned onto his shoulder. He listens for a few seconds before confirmed.
"The rain is picking up! We have another accident on Main street! People forget how to drive when it rains!"
Superman nods.
"On it!"
A sudden sonic boom as he flys off reaching the next accident. A car ran into a fire hydrant and another flipped onto its back.
It's been hours. And Superman was flying through heavy rain to get to all the accidents with car crashes and people slipping from high un-railed rooftops.
Once he could catch a breath the sun had set, but the thick clouds covered the city in a gray darkness.
"Superman!" a dark voice appears on Superman's comm.
He was floating above the city looking over it for anything else he could get to.
"I'm here."
"Good! Are you with the Reporter?"
Superman clenches his teeth and immediately he's flying towards Y/n's apartment.
"No, why?"
Batman's voice is stern.
"The notes she made, gave me some insight to what she was feeling. The ringing she could hear made me do a MRI, scan of the blood sample and I found something worrying."
Superman's speed increases as he does stiff turns around buildings causing the rain to part out of his way and windows to shake. He listened intently as Batman explained.
"A nano-bot. Small robots in the blood stream, from its shape it's built to latch onto a specific type of skin tissue. Brain tissue."
Superman finally lands on the apartment fire escape and rushes through the open window.
"The beeping she described was the nano-bot's getting a signal from somewhere, someone. There's only one person who could develop this kind of intelligent technology, Lex Luthor."
Superman looks through the apartment rushing into Y/n's room seeing her in the corner facing the wall.
Heavy breathing, soft chucking as she hits her head with her palm. She was dressed in a sweater and sweatpants, but shampoo still in her hair and no shoes.
Superman is quick with super speed grabbing her hand stopping her from hitting herself.
"Y/n! Stop, look at me!"
In a string of crescendoing laughter she turns her head to look at superman.
Her eyes were no longer their normal color, instead it was a foggy green with the pupil barely visible.
"Hello Superman." she says with a horrific smile grabbing onto superman's arm.
With a sudden strength she swings superman over her shoulder and he crashes through the brick wall.
Superman is caught off guard just long enough for Y/n to stand straight and drag her nails across the palm of her own hand.
Just before the cement dust could settle Y/n jumps right at superman still three stories high latching onto his body.
With a terrifying smile she pushes her bloody palm down on Superman's cheek causing him to pull away.
"Y/N!" He yells at her watching her fall with a crash into the street below.
Superman grunts in pain feeling a sizzling pain on his face. Pealing away layer by layer superman's cheek turns bloody. Y/n's blood, burns Superman's skin? The man of steel! The superman!
He flies down and lands on the street, to see what had become of Y/n, only to watch her lift her broken body to a stand.
Her bones snapping back into place and wounds healing back up. Clothes ripped but she stood strong enough to laugh a little more.
The blood that remained from her devastating fall had burned through the concrete road until it hit the dirt deep beneath it.
Superman was dumbfounded, but at his sizzling face healed he sped his way towards Y/n giving her a bear hug.
"Y/n! Listen to me! Snap out of it!"
Y/n struggled in his grip kicking and pushing her bloody palm against superman's torso but he didn't budge.
"Ugh! Batman! She's not responding!"
With a second to think. Y/n bites down on her bottom lip suddenly before spitting the blood right into superman's face.
Superman, not used to any pain let's go of her and pulls back. He holds his eye feeling it sizzle and burn.
Y/n runs towards him and kicks superman's side with added inhumane strength. Superman blocks with his forearms and grabs her leg.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, Y/n!"
Not responding Y/n twists her body enough to get out of Superman's grip, just in time for superman's eye to heal back up.
Y/n smirks with fists clenched and her body pushes off the ground going full speed towards superman who bases himself for a another blow.
"That's enough." a voice in Y/n's head says and suddenly her eyes gloss over back to their original color.
She hits Superman's chest with full force then stumbles back.
Her hand quickly covers her nose and she yells in pain.
"Ugh! Holy cheese crackers!"
She slowly looks up at Superman still standing sted fast infront of her causing her to panic.
"What the hell! What happened!" she panics in a muffled voice.
Superman is still cautious but delicately helps her to her feet.
"Your name?"
"Huh?"
"Whats your name?" Superman asks eagerly.
Y/n lifts an eyebrow and pulls her hand away from her nose.
"Y/n L/n."
Still confused she looks around. The road beneath her bare feet broken into bits. Like a wrecking ball was dropped by accident.
A hole in her apartment walll with loose bricks still dropping and loose bits of debris.
There was blood dripping from her nose, knuckles, hands and from cuts on her body.
Her hand delicately moves to her throat and again new claw marks shocked her.
She looks superman dead in the eyes and tries to hold back the lump in her throat that wanted to cause a breakdown.
"Call Batman."
Superman watches her movements, listens to her heartbeat picking up and smelling the salt in her tears.
Not far down the street, a small drone hovers with silent propellers.
Watching Y/n and Superman through the drone camera, in a dark room was Lex Luthor.
His fingers braided together as he watched the screen intently. His office high up in the Lex corp building seemed like the least conspicuous place.
His suit neat and tidy, only for a laughing Joker to stumble his way beside Lex.
"Oh~ why'd you stop! It was just starting to get fun!"
Lex pushes Joker off him and growls.
"This was only a test. We know the Multi-Serum works. And along with the Nano-bots, we can trigger a weapon any time we'd like."
Joker clenches his teeth.
"You said we'd pit Batsy and Superman against each other! Not this pathetic girl!"
Lex walks over to a pin board in the room with many pictures of Y/n and files dedicated to her history pinned onto it.
"Perhaps we got a stroke of luck. Superman would be much less willing to fight an innocent. In the process of trying to save her, she could kill him when his guard is down."
He smirks tracing photo of Y/n with the back of his curled finger.
"This... Y/n, is perfect. She's my best creation-"
"Ehem! Our creation." The voice of Scarecrow objects.
Looking to the side, Lex looked at Scarecrow on the couch with a horrific mask on.
He chuckles and corrects himself.
"Yes, our creation."

Love and Neighbors
Clark Kent x Reader Chapters AO3
36- Mr. Wayne
Clark could hardly get out two words to call your name when he saw you amongst the other partygoers, standing out since no one could compare to the kind of beauty you had. You were laughing with none other than Bruce Wayne, deep in conversation about how incompetent Lex Luthor was. Just like you had heard his heartbeat quicken, you turned to look at him, your smile getting wider. Bruce noticed him at the same time, turning to say something to you momentarily before he motioned for Clark to come over.
Blushing at the realization he’d just been staring at you and started to make his way over, apologizing to all the people he had to brush past. Bruce clapped him on the shoulder, giving you one of those award-winning Brucie Wayne smiles that had all the women and papers dying to see.
“Clark, how come you didn’t introduce me to your friend sooner?” Just by the tone of his voice, the reporter could tell that the cheerful charisma act was in full effect.
Chuckling awkwardly, he said, “I think we’ve both been busy with our…other jobs.”
You leaned forward, adding, “Either way, it is nice to finally meet Clark’s best friend.”
Bruce turned to Clark with a shit-eating grin before exclaiming, “Besties! That’s right.”
Your boyfriend had told you all about Batman, how he had the hardest exterior for one of the softest members of the Justice League. The Batman you had heard of through newspapers and TV was violent and intimidating. It was one of the reasons that when Clark had come to you with the offer of going to a Wayne gala you were immediately nervous.
When Bruce first found you, you were surprised to learn how nice he was. He seemed interested in you, asking you questions about yourself, personally and professionally. The number of questions he had seemed like he was scoping you out for something, but you weren’t entirely turned away from it. Happily, you answered them, knowing that it was more than likely for Clark’s sake.
“You have to come to Wayne Manor one day, for dinner or something,” Bruce said, sparing a glance at Clark. “It’ll be nice to get to know each other more personally.”
You grinned. “That sounds great, Mr. Wayne.”
“Call me Bruce, please,” He leaned back and seemingly noticed someone across the room. “Now, you’ll have to excuse me, I see a beautiful woman over there that looks a bit lonely.”
As he slinked away and you leaned forward to press a chaste kiss to Clark’s lips. “I expected him to be a lot more of an asshole.”
Your boyfriend snickered, “He can be, but he’s still one of the greatest people I know.”
You nodded, looking across the room to see Bruce Wayne practically hanging off a woman in all black. Mr. Wayne was blubbering about something to the woman, pretending to be more drunk than he really was, and acting like a complete fool amongst the partygoers who stared whiled snickering.
“He’s the greatest person you know?”

Hello steor-ra, I saw your yandere superfam post, I was curious what would happen if Baby!reader was not found and the joker did not reveal where the baby is and the heroes did not find her, the baby simply disappeared
If it's not Joker just simply killing you then, he will sell you to Superman's archenemy, Lex Luthor, who will then keep you in a tube where he will create a clone of you and give that version of you to Superman, claiming that he was the one who discovered you, and, like a nice guy, he wants to give you back, simple as that.
And, of course, Superman is suspicious, but seeing his little One back in his arms helped him relax a little, because this baby feels strange. Superman doesn't really feel the spark the same way he did with your original self, and knowing Lex Luthor is capable of creating clones made his suspicion raise a bit.
Frowning he thanked the guy who swore will be his biggest enemy and flew away
It will take several months before the family realizes this is a clone, not their baby. Probably because the same things the cloned you create don't actually make them want to imprison clone-you forever; it's as if their fascination with you has waned. And they don't like it; what if they suddenly neglect you? Or should they say a clone.
It's comfirmed when Superman or Jon hears your cries from far away while fighting near lex corp
Maybe lex Luthor has also turned into a yandere for you and kept you inside a room where Superman's x-ray vision cannot be see through.
Lex can't keep you any longer with him though, Superman have a bunch of heroes to help him sooo
But if you like the version of Joker simply just killing you then go ahead.
Maybe you are killed to spite everyone who is a yandere for you, or Joker tortured you in front of Superman; maybe Joker will bang your head against the wall again and over and over while Superman is being held by something strong, and when Joker is finished, he will definitely be killed, obviously
But if you want a bright side, you'll get to regenerate because, duh! You're Superman's child, you'll most likely to also get some his super abilities 🤷♀️💞
Oh and if you're saying that y/n just simply Dissapearrd like really, then Superman will go nuts like he was in the injustice. The end🤗

♕ No Matter What - Part 17 | Lena Luthor ♕
Pairing: Lena Luthor x reader
Warnings: mature content, cursing, and slight angst (if you squint)
Summary: Lex is gone for good and Lena returns. . .
Previous Part | Masterlist
________________________________________________
Lena looks nervous when she steps past me into the apartment, but then her eyes land on my crutch and her eyes fill with tears.
Her chin wobbles and she holds out her hands as if to touch me before lowering them again, thinking better of it when I take a step back. “Y/N. . .”
I swallow thickly and close the door, limping toward the couch. “What do you want?” I ask, my voice coming out hoarse.
She left when I needed her the most and even though her green eyes still make my stomach flip when they meet mine, I can’t prevent all the pent up hurt and anguish from clawing at my throat.
Lena doesn’t say anything, her eyes just dance between me and all the half-packed boxes around the living room.
“I’m serious, Lena,” I repeat myself, “what are you doing here?”
Her tear filled eyes meet mine and instead of answer she just whispers, “You’re leaving?”
I scoff and avert my eyes, picking at a loose thread on one of the throw pillows. “What do you care?”
“What do you mean? I care about you,” she says quietly, the hurt evident in her voice.
I swallow the growing lump in my throat and look up to stare at her incredulously. “You do? Well, I guess then you have a very unique way of showing it.”
There’s no bite behind my words, only sadness and a little frustration.
Lena bites her lower lip and looks down, ashamed. “I-I’m sorry, Y/N.”
“You’re sorry?” I ask, my voice low. “Is that all you have to say after disappearing off the face of the Earth when I needed you the most?”
“I—No, Y/N. You don’t understand,” she stutters, wringing her hands. “What Lex did— It’s my fault. You were shot because of me and I blamed myself for it, so I stayed away. But then I realized how selfish I was being, and I was only keeping my distance because I couldn’t face you and the guilt that came with seeing you hurt. That was a week after what happened and I wanted to come see you, but by then I thought I was too late. I’d stayed away too long and I was afraid that if I saw you again you’d hate me and I couldn’t bear it, so I left.”
I press the heels of my hands against my eyes and take a deep breath. “Lena. . . I don’t blame you for what happened. It’s not your fault.”
I hear her take a breath, probably ready to object, but I continue before she can say anything.
“But I needed you. . .” I whisper. “I was hurt and worried and just wanted to see you, and you weren’t there.”
I drop my hands into my lap and look at Lena who’s watching me with silent tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. She hasn’t even taken off her winter coat yet and seeing her this uncomfortable and unsure in my space tugs at my heart.
“Even my father showed up,” I add with a pained half-smile. “My father, Lena. . .”
Lena’s mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water before her entire face crumbles and she starts sobbing into her hands. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry-sorry.”
She hiccups and breaks down in front of me and it only takes a whisperd You deserve so much better than me for me to get up and take her into my arms.
She flinches at the fist touch, shaking in the embrace, but then she starts sobbing against my neck, her arms finding their way around my middle.
Her nose is cold against my skin and makes me shiver and the sound of her whimpers and sniffles makes me tear up as well.
“That’s not true,” I murmur against her temple.
Lena pushes her face further into my neck and shakes her head. “It is. I keep hurting you, and all you do is worry about me and keep me from feeling bad about myself.”
I sigh and close my eyes, feeling a sense a peace wash over me when the smell of her lavender scented shampoo clouds my senses.
It is true, she’s hurt me more than once now, but neither times it was ill intent that drove her to do what she did. It was insecurity, guilt, and fear, and I, more than anyone else, knows what that’s like.
There are some things that are unforgivable, things like what my dad did and said to me, but this? I know, deep down in my heart that I will, in time, be able to forgive Lena for this.
Maybe not right now, and maybe not for a couple days, or weeks, or months even, but eventually I will.
I card my fingers through Lena’s hair and press my cheek against her temple. “You’ve hurt me, yes, and it probably won’t be the last time, but there will come a time when I’m the one hurting you,” I whisper. “That’s how things go, just— Please believe me when I say that I don’t blame you for what Lex did.”
“Y/N. . .” she protests weakly but I shush her and press a kiss to the top of her head.
“It’s okay. We’re going to be okay, but I need some time away from everything. I have to figure out who I want to be and what I want to do,” I say, still running my fingers through her hair.
Lena nods slowly and pulls back so her bloodshot eyes can meet mine. “But you’re coming back, right?”
I smile and cup her cheeks, my stimach flipping when she leans into the touch. “Of course. No matter what.”
Lena exhales shakily. “When are you leaving?”
I look at the boxes scattered around the living room and bite the inside of my cheek before answering. “The day after tomorrow.”
“W-What?” She doesn’t pull away, but she tightens her grip around my middle. “But it’s Christmas in a week.”
I cringe, hearing her say it like that, as though she was planning on spending it with me, but I deliberately set everything up this way because my parents will most definitely try to stop by on Christmas and by then I want to be gone already.
“This is just because of your parents?” she asks after I explain my reasoning and I nod, watching as she frowns in thought.
“So if it weren’t for them you’d stay a little longer?” she probes and I nod again, not entirely sure where she’s going with this until she says, “I’m not trying to convince you to stay for good, but if this is really just because of your parents would you— I don’t know— would you maybe consider staying just a little longer? Just until Christmas is over. . .You could even stay at my place— or Sam’s if that makes you more comfortable. That way you don’t have to worry about your parents showing up. I just— I really want to start making things up to you and I kinda already got you a gift.”
Caught off guard by her rambling, I take a step back with wide eyes.
She wants to spend Christmas with me?
I watch her fidget, unable to say anything until she begins backpedaling, obviously mistaking my stunned silence for rejection.
“O-Or not, you know, it’s up to you. I’m sorry. . .God, why am I so selfish. This is not about me. You should—“
“Hey, stop,” I cut her off gently, grabbing her hands to stop her wild gesturing.
She swallows thickly, her brows pulled together in embarrassment and I smile softly to ease her mind a bit.
“I can stay a little longer. I’ll just have to contact the movers to let them know about the change of plans.” I say.
Lena’s whole face lights up and in the blink of an eye her arms are thrown around my neck and she’s pulling me into a bone crushing hug. “Thank you. You can’t imagine how much that means to me.”
I chuckle lowly and return the embrace, running my hands up and down her back. “I don’t have a present for you though, so if that’s a problem for you I might have to reconsider.”
She laughs—full on laughs at that and the sound of it makes me grin. “You don’t have to get me anything. I just want you.”
I just want you. . .
Those words make my knees weak and my heart leap in my chest, and I close my eyes, savoring the moment.
Yeah, we’re definitely going to be okay.
“Hey guys!” Lena giggles, opening the door to her apartment to greet Sam, Ruby and me.
Since I’m still not entirely over her running away yet, I decided it would be best if I stayed with Sam, which is why I’ve been living in her guest bedroom for the last week.
Lena and I have gotten coffee and had lunch almost every day since then though, working through our issues and discussing where we want our relationship to go.
We decided not to get serious just yet because I need some more time to get over what happened and also because neither of us is a huge fan of long distance. We will be keeping in touch though and I promised her we’ll go on a real date once I get back.
Tonight is Christmas eve and Lena is hosting because she has the biggest apartment and when I glance past her while she’s pulling Sam and Ruby into a hug, I make out Kara, Winn, James and Alex, mingling by the fireplace next to the Christmas tree.
Surprisingly my parents haven’t tried to contact me yet, but I’m sure it will happen sooner rather than later. Especially when they go to my apartment and find it empty.
“Hey.” Lena’s soft voice brings me back to reality and I shift my eyes from inside the apartment to her.
She’s in a gorgeous, black, off shoulder dress and her dark hair has been styled to flow down her back in soft curls.
It makes me feel a little underdressed in my simple shirt and dress pants, but it’s what Sam picked out for me, so I guess I’ll just have to go with it.
“Lena,” I say, limping toward her on my crutch. “You look beautiful.”
She blushes with a coy smile and wraps her arms around my neck in a gentle hug. “Thank you. I’m happy you’re here. “
Her body is warm against mine and I squeeze her waist with the hand that’s not still holding onto the crutch before pulling back and pressing a kiss to her cheek. “Me too.”
Her sparkling green eyes meet mine and she drops her arms from around my neck just to take my hand into hers, interlacing our fingers.
I smile at the act and nod when she eyes me questioningly, letting her lead me into the apartment. By now everyone knows that I’m not just her former bodyguard, so I don’t mind the PDA as long as it doesn’t go any further than handholding and kisses on cheeks.
The lights are dimmed and soft Christmas music is playing from a record player by the lit fireplace. The tree next to it is decorated with fairy lights and classic red ornaments, and candles are lit on the set dining table.
“It smells great, Lena,” Sam says when we join everyone in the living room.
“Thanks, but I can’t take all the credit,” Lena deflects politely as she pulls me to sit on the couch with her. “Alex and Kara helped me cook.”
I smile and put my crutch down on the floor so no one trips over it, leaning back into the cushions without letting go of Lena’s hand.
Alex raises her glass in acknowledgment and Kara waves off the compliment. “It was really nothing,” she says and everyone chuckles.
“Of course you’d say that,” Alex teases. “All you did was put on a cooking playlist and taste test the yams.”
Kara’s jaw drops and she scoffs. “That’s not true!”
Lena hums next to me and when I look over I see her smirking at the younger Danvers sister. “You’re right. You also ate most of the marshmallows and almost burned down the kitchen trying to caramelize the walnuts.”
Everyone laughs at that and Kara rolls her eyes with a huff. “Alright, alright. Go ahead and laugh, but once you’re done can we please talk about the fact that Winn’s tie doesn’t match his shirt?”
“Huh?” Winn stops sipping from his beer and frowns down at his tie. “What’s wrong with my tie?”
“Nothing.”
“Everything.”
James playfully glares at Alex who smiles smugly over the rim of her wine glass.
After a beat of silence, Winn just shrugs and mumbles a whatever before the whole group returns to playfully bantering and chatting about nothing and everything.
I just sit back and relax, enjoying the familiarity of it all while running my thumb over the back of Lena’s hand.
She’s leaning against my side, chiming in on the conversation every now and then until the oven dings, signaling that dinner is ready.
“Yay! I’m starving,” Kara chirps, moving to the kitchen to take out the turkey. Alex follows her to help and James and Winn push themselves off the wall next to the fireplace to take a seat at the table.
“Can I sit next to you, Y/N?” Ruby asks and I nod.
“Of course kiddo.” I ruffle her hair and Sam smiles at me as she pulls her daughter off the couch and toward the table.
I bend down to grab my crutch, but before I can get to my feet Lena squeezes my hand, making me look at her.
“Are you okay?” she asks quietly, watching me with concern. “You’ve barely said anything. Is it your leg?”
I chuckle softly and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “I’m okay. I promise. I’m just enjoying the moment and taking it all in. My leg is fine, I took a painkiller before we left.”
Lena’s green eyes search mine and she raises one hand to keep my own pressed against her cheek. “You sure?”
I nod with a reassuring smile. “Positive.”
“Okay then, let’s eat,” she says, kissing my palm before helping me to my feet.
I follow her to the table and take a seat next to Ruby just as Alex starts carving the turkey. James and Winn hand around the sides after serving themselves and Kara makes quick work of topping off all glasses of wine.
Lena takes a seat on my other side and pours me a glass of water before placing her hand on my thigh and squeezing gently.
It makes my skin tingle and a shiver run down my spine, but I try not to focus on it as Winn hands me the yams.
Once the turkey has been fully carved and everyone’s been served we dig in. The food is absolutely delicious, but I can’t help but glance at Lena every now and then, admiring the way the candle light flickers on her face and makes her eyes sparkle.
She notices me staring several times, but doesn’t comment on it. She just smiles shyly with a blush creeping up her neck and diverts her eyes to look her plate.
After dinner we settle on the couch on the living room and play some board games. Lena wins Monopoly twice, much to everyone’s dismay, but she loses horribly at Ludo a couple of times which results in Kara and Winn being extra smug even though they both only get second and third place every time.
Time passes in a blur and before we know it it’s already midnight.
Alex promised her girlfriend Maggie she’d spend Christmas morning with her which is why she leaves once we finish our last game of UNO. She’s followed shortly after by Winn and James who promised their families the same thing, which leaves Kara, Sam, Ruby and I to spend the night in one of Lena’s guest rooms.
“Good night, guys!” Kara waves and smiles at Lena and I, waiting for Sam and Ruby to join her since their rooms are one floor below ours.
I smile and wish Kara a good night as well and ignore the suggestive look Sam sends me when she passes Lena and me on the couch.
I’ve been chosen to take the guest room down the hall and even though it makes my heart beat faster that Lena wants me close to her, it suddenly also makes me feel kind of nervous.
Especially because Sam— with her suggestive look— obviously thinks something is going to happen between Lena and I and until now I hadn’t thought of that.
“Good night, Y/N,” Ruby whispers as she hugs me.
I squeeze her in my arms, trying to ignore the nervousness in the pit of my stomach and mumble, “Good night, Rubes. Merry Christmas.”
The girl smiles at me and joins her mom and Kara by the door. The three of them wave one last time before leaving, closing the door behind them.
I stare at the door somewhat longingly, wishing I could escape the sudden tension in the room, but then Lena’s hand is squeezing my knee, making me turn around and look at her.
“Don’t be nervous,” she says earnestly, somehow having read my mind. “Nothing is going to happen between us.”
I open my mouth, wanting to object and tell her that that’s not why I’m nervous but when she raises her eyebrow knowingly I snap my mouth shut with a sheepish grin and a timid nod.
“Look, I know it’s not the morning yet, but it technically is the 25th already, so if you don’t mind I’d like to give you your gift now rather than tomorrow morning when the others are around.” She rambles a bit and I smile at the fact that my nervousness has somehow shifted over to her.
“I’d like that, too,” I say lowly. Our eyes stay connected for a second longer, neither of us daring to move, but then Lena clears her throat and stumbles to her feet.
“Wait here,” she instructs with a gentle smile and I nod, settling back into the cushions of the couch.
It takes a couple of moments for Lena to return, but when she does the sound of something heavy being dragged over the floor is the first thing I hear before my eyes land on her rounding a corner.
“Lena, what the hell is that?” I chuckle and move to get up and help her but she just stares me down with a warning look until I settle back down onto the couch.
“It’s your present,” she pants, dragging the huge rectangular box all the way in front if me before setting it down on the ground.
She pushes the coffee table away so I have more space to unpack and returns to her spot on the couch next to me with a huff.
My eyes dart between her and the box and when I don’t make a move to unwrap it, Lena nudges me and says, “Well, what are you waiting for?”
I laugh softly and raise my hands in surrender before leaning forward and unwrapping the box.
The record player is still playing soft Christmas music and the fire crackles in the fireplace, sending a cloud sparks up the chimney every time a log shifts.
Lena watches me as I unwrap my present until the plain cardboard beneath the wrapping paper comes into view.
I chuckle at the added mystery and careful pry the box open until my eyes land on what’s inside.
“Lena. . .” I gasp and scooch forward on the couch to get a better look. “How did you. . .” I trail off and run my fingers over the keyboard inside the box.
It’s a model I’ve been eyeing for a while now since I decided I wanted to get back into playing piano, but I’ve never told Lena I used to play and I definitely didn’t tell her about this exact keyboard.
“Do you like it?” she asks quietly which makes my eyes snap to her. She’s nervously chewing on her bottom lip and has her hands buried in her lap.
“Do I like it?” I repeat incredulously. “Lena, this is. . . How did you . . . I can’t believe you got this for me. I love it. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much.”
Lena relaxes visibly and her lips twitch with amusement. “Good. I’m glad you like it.”
“Like it?!” I echo again with a laugh. “I love it! How did you know about this? I don’t think I ever told you I play, did I?”
She shakes her head and helps me open the box a little more so the keyboard is on full display. “No, but I saw the picture of you playing at your high school graduation on your nightstand. . . And I may or may not have seen you look up keyboards when I was staying at your place.”
Ah, so that explains it. Damn, she’s really observant. . .
I smile at her admission and redirect my attention toward the keyboard and run my fingers over the keys.
I’m only now noticing that it’s the most expensive model I looked at without any intention of ever buying it and suddenly the fact that I don’t really have a present in return makes me feel insanely guilty.
Noticing the shift in my mood almost instantly, Lena frowns and clasps her hands together. “What is it? Do you not like it after all? Or is it about what I said? I’m sorry if I overstepped, Y/N. I just thought—“
“No, Lena, stop.” I cut her off quickly and take one of her hands, lacing our fingers together and stroking my thumb over the back of her thumb. “It’s not about any of that. I love it and I’m extremely grateful but. . .”
“But?” she asks when I don’t continue, dipping her head to catch my eye.
I sigh and smile sadly. “But my present — if you can even call it that— is nothing compared to this. This is great a-and insanely thoughtful and mine is just—“
This time Lena’s the one to cut me off, squeezing my hand and saying, “I’m sure that’s not true and I don’t care what you got me. I didn’t buy this expecting something in return. I mean, you even warned me about not having a present.”
I huff and pout playfully which makes her laugh.
“Come on, tell me what you got me,” she says.
I chew on the inside of my cheek and look at our intertwined hands. “Well, it’s not exactly a thing. . .”
Lena raises her eyebrows and tilts her head, waiting for me to go on.
“I just. . . I postponed the move again so we could celebrate New Years together and— Ah, now that I’m saying it out loud it sounds so silly. This isn’t much of a gift, actually. It’s more like a surprise, but—“
“I love it,” Lena whispers. It’s so quiet I barely hear her.
I look up with hopeful eyes and find her watching me with adoration. It makes my skin tingle and I raise my free hand to rub the back of my neck in embarrassment.
“I told you I wasn’t expecting anything in return,” she says quietly. “But this is more than I could have ever hoped for. I can buy everything I want whenever I want, but the one thing I can’t buy is time with the people I love.”
My heart skips a beat at the mention of love, but I know that she doesn’t mean it the way I do when thinking about her, so I force myself to stay calm and not fidget in my seat.
Lena however takes me by surprise by doubling down and saying, “I love you, Y/N.”
I gape at her and absentmindedly squeeze her hand as she goes on.
“And I think I have loved you ever since we danced after that one gala. You were so gentle and thoughtful that night and then when you dropped to your knees that other time just to take off my heels I felt like I couldn’t breathe. You literally take my breath away and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel how you make me feel. . . I-If you let me, that is.”
It’s silent. Utterly silent because by now the fire has burned down almost completely and the record player has stopped playing music.
Lena swallows thickly and her face contorts with regret and embarrassment as the seconds go by and I still don’t say anything.
Meanwhile my brain is short circuiting and I’m still trying to wrap my head around what she just said. It’s all I wanted to hear for weeks now and even though I desperately want to say it back, I’m still too shocked to speak.
“O-Or not, you know. Just-Just forget I said anything,” she stammers. She goes to take her hand back, but the light tug on my fingers from the action is what finally snaps me out of my trance.
I tighten my grip on her hand and surge forward, kissing her. Lena gasps and for a moment she doesn’t kiss back, but then she melts into it and moves her lips against mine feverishly.
Our hands disconnected eventually, but only because mine move around Lena’s waist and Lena raises her hands to cup my face.
“I love you, too,” I mumble in between kisses, moving down to trail my lips over her neck.
I nip and suck on her delicate skin every now and then, making Lena moan against the shell of my ear.
“I need you to know that I- that I didn’t just tell you to keep you from leaving,” she stammers breathlessly. “I want this and I want you and- and I will wait however long it takes.”
I hum against her throat and pull her toward me until she’s straddling my lap.
“I know,” I say, my voice low when I pull back to look up at her.
Her lipstick is smudged and her pupils are blown and when I squeeze her waist, she drops her hands from my cheeks and moves them to the back of my neck.
“And I promise I will come back as soon as I figure everything out. I want you, too, and I can’t wait to start our future together,” I admit honestly which makes Lena’s gaze soften.
Her dark eyes dance between mine, obviously searching for any sign that I’m lying, and when she finds none, she leans back down to connect our lips once again.
It starts off soft and gentle, but it quickly speeds up again until we’re both panting against each other’s mouth.
It heats up to the point where we’re both clawing at each other desperately and Lena is grinding down on my lap, but before things can go any further I stop her by gripping her hips harshly, stopping her movements.
“S-sorry, I got carried away,” she whispers against my lips, touching her forehead against mine with her eyes closed.
“It’s okay,” I reply just as quietly, loosening my grip on her hips. “But maybe we should stop.”
Lena nods against my forehead with a sigh. “Maybe we should.”
“Yeah. . .” I close my eyes as well, enjoying the closeness and the feeling of her warm body against mine. “Definitely.”
The tension between us is thick as we’re both trying to catch our breath, but it doesn’t last very long because before I know it our teeth and tongues clash again and we’re kissing once again as though we can’t get enough of each other.
“What happened to nothing is going to happen between us?” I ask into the kiss, moaning softly when Lena bites down on my lower lip.
“I don’t want to wait anymore,” she admits quietly, peppering kisses all over my jaw and chin. “Is that okay for you?”
I nod adamantly, all the nerves about where this night might lead suddenly gone. “Yes. More than okay, actually, but. . .my leg. I can’t really— You know. . .” I trail off and look down, ashamed.
The painkillers started wearing off some time ago which is why my leg is sore and stiff now. I’m also not supposed to be too active yet, and according to Dr. Mike sex is one of the things I should hold off on doing for a little while longer.
“Hey, look at me.” Lena’s hands are soft on the side of my neck and she brushes her thumbs over my jaw.
I do as she says and meet her gentle eyes. She’s looking at me with so much love it makes my heart flip and when she tells me that it’s okay and that we don’t have to go any further than this I shake my head, determined to at least make her feel good.
“Are you sure?” she asks me, her eyebrows furrowed in concern.
“I am. Are you?” I ask in return and she nods, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. “Okay. . . What do you want?”
She bites her lip and the love in her eyes is once again replaced by desire. “Just you.”
I chuckle and tilt my head up to brush my lips against hers. “I can do that,” I whisper before kissing her again.
She responds immediately and kisses back insistently as one of my hands settles around her lower waist while the other slides onto her bare thigh.
Her dress has ridden up her legs since I pulled her onto my lap, which allows me easier access to her hot skin.
She shivers when I let my fingers dance over the inside of her thigh and breaks the kiss to rest her forehead against my shoulder.
“Please,” she moans when I kiss down her neck and across her collar bone. “Please. . .”
The desperation in her voice makes my lower stomach tighten and I can’t help but oblige, slipping my hand up the inside of her thigh and beneath her dress.
Lena tenses and holds her breath for a second before jerking her hips forward at the first touch of my fingers against her.
“Shit!” she curses underneath her breath and I wait a couple of seconds for her to get used to the feeling.
Then, once she’s relaxed again, I start moving my hand, watching in awe as her jaw slackens at the sensation.
“Good?” I ask quietly, guiding her body with my arm around her waist to match the movement of my hand.
“Y-Yes,” she stutters around a low moan.
I smile against the skin of her neck, and press a kiss to the freckle on her throat.
If you told me this is where I’d be now a week ago, I would have called you crazy and out of touch with reality. Now though, nothing feels more real than this and the way Lena is digging her nails into the back of my neck is grounding more than anything I’ve ever experienced.
“God, you’re beautiful,” I whisper in her ear and the whine I receive in return goes straight to my lower stomach.
I tighten my grip around her waist and add another finger, groaning when Lena bites my shoulder to silence a high pitched moan.
“Y/N. . .” She pants when I speed up my movement and I can’t help but leave a little love bite at the base of her throat.
“You close?” I ask, my own breath coming out in short bursts.
Lena nods weakly and her mouth opens in a silent scream as her whole body begins to tremble on top of me.
“Okay, darling. Whenever you’re ready. . .” I coo, curling my fingers every now and then until she squeals and writhes uncontrollably.
I slow down my movements to guide her through her high before carefully pulling my hand out from beneath her dress.
I wipe my fingers on my pants, chuckling when Lena mumbles fuck against my neck, and engulf her in a tight hug.
“You have quite a dirty mouth, Miss Luthor,” I tease, drawing shapes on her back to further calm her down.
“Yeah, well I’m half Irish and you’re just too good at that.” She laughs lightly and squeezes my shoulder playfully before moving her head off my shoulder to look at me with a more serious expression. “Uh—Listen, there’s something I haven’t been completely honest with you about.”
I raise my eyebrows in question and still my hands on her back. “Oh?”
Lena sighs deeply and places her hands on my chest, probably feeling how rapidly my heart is still beating. “I know I told you that I didn’t come visit you in the hospital because I felt guilty about what Lex did, but that’s not the only reason I stayed away.”
She watches me for my reaction and when I nod for her to continue, she clenches her jaw nervously.
“I was in Metropolis for like two weeks because I met up with lawyers and investors. You see. . . I heard what Lex said about you and how someone like me could never be interested in someone like you because I’m this Fortune 500 CEO and you’re just you.”
I frown and avert my eyes, only now remembering all the things Lex said about me.
Before my mind can spiral though Lena goes on.
“And that made me so angry, you know, because how can he say you’re just you when you’re everything to me?” She smiles sadly and brushes a strand of hair out of my face. “You’re my entire world and when he said all those things I realized just how unhappy I was until I met you. I may be the CEO of a successful company, but you showed me that life is about little joys rather than business meetings and stock deals. It’s about getting excited over Pains au Chocolats and dancing when no music is playing. It’s about falling asleep in the arms of the person you love and crying over sad movies on a random Tuesday night.”
My lips twitch into a smile at that last part, remembering the time Lena and I were a blubbering mess after Marley & Me while she was staying at my apartment.
“I love you, Y/N, and just like you I want to find out and do what I really want to do with my life. Until now, my mother or Lex always told me what to do, whether it’s playing chess rather than filed hockey in school, or forcing me to major in business and engineering rather than just the latter.”
I give her an encouraging smile and kiss the inside of her wrist when she drops her hand from my hair to rest against my cheek.
“Which is why-” she finally concludes, making me gasp at the reveal- “I sold L-Corp.”
My eyes widen and my jaw drops. “You did?! How come I haven’t heard about this yet? I mean, surely it would be all over the news if the Lena Luthor sold her family’s company.”
Lena shrugs as if it’s no big deal and fixes my collar with the hand that is not currently on my face. “I payed them to hold off on the story until I got the chance to tell you myself.”
I gasp. That must have cost a fortune and let’s not overlook the fact that she literally just sold her family’s entire heirloom.
“Lena— I don’t know— I can’t believe you— How did you—? When did you—?” I scoff in disbelief and laugh at my own stuttering before settling on asking, “Well, I guess what I’m trying to say is are you happy?”
Lena beams and her eyes sparkle. “I am. I’m happier than ever and since selling the company I’ve finally gotten back into reading and tinkering with stuff in my private lab.”
My heart aches in a good way and I tilt my head up to press a soft kiss to the underside of her jaw. “That’s amazing. I’m very proud of you.”
Suddenly shy under my adoring gaze, Lena drops her chin to her chest and looks up at me through her eyelashes. “Thank you.”
I resume tracing shapes onto her back and run my nose up the length of her neck, placing kisses to her flushed skin every now and then. “You’re welcome, my love. Now that that’s all out in the open though, I want to continue what we were doing before.”
Lena smirks mischievously and tilts her head back to give me better access, her shyness suddenly gone as though it was never there to begin with. “Oh yeah? What do you have in mind?” she whispers, already sounding breathless.
“I want to taste you,” I state without missing a beat which makes Lena blush furiously. “Would you be up for that?”
She nods eagerly and climbs off my lap before helping me to my feet although she’s not all too stable on her own feet.
We make our way to the bedroom, giggling and stealing kisses all the way there until the door slams shut behind us.
Lena pushes me up against the door and attacks my lips in a bruising kiss. She runs her fingers through my hair and down my neck and chest until I can’t take it anymore.
I spin her around and kiss down the back of her neck before whispering in her ear, asking if I can take off her dress.
Her only reply is a yes, please, and within the blink of an eye, her dress is on the floor, pooled around her feet.
I help her step out of it and as soon as she turns around and the moonlight from outside illuminates her pale skin I gasp in wonder.
My eyes rake over her, drinking her in as she slowly steps up to me again with darkened eyes. “Are you just going to stand there and stare, or are you going to do what you said you would?”
I exhale shakily, her teasing being the only thing I need to spring into action, and hoist her up my body by the back of her legs.
She yelps in surprise and wraps her arms around my neck before giggling and kissing the shell of my ear.
I have no idea where all that strength came from and how I managed to lift her without my leg giving out, but here we are and I sure as hell am not going to drop her, so I quickly move toward the bed and place her down on it.
She shuffles up the mattress until her head is on one of the pillows before grabbing the front of my shirt and pulling me down on top of her.
“Someone’s eager,” I say committing every detail of her face to memory but it seems as though her patience is wearing thin because she swiftly leans up to reconnect our lips.
“Just shut up and kiss me,” she mumbles into the kiss and, honestly, who would I be to deny such a request.
________________________________________________
Phew that was a long one, but it’s also been a long time coming and it’s the last part, so I guess it’s only fair that it’s on the longer side.
Anyway, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for all the love and support you’ve shown for this story and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.
As I mentioned before, this is the last part, but I will probably write an epilogue for it in the future.
For now, my focus is on other stories though and I hope that if you enjoyed this you’ll also check out my other fics.
Again, thanks for all the love and support!
Hugs and kisses!
