MUSIC CLUB

Movie! Cole Brookstone x Reader

COLE WAS IN A MUSIC CLUB BUT DIDN’T REALIZE THAT THE MEETING WAS CANCELED AFTER SCHOOL, ENTERING THROUGH THE DOORS HE FOUND SOMEONE NEW.

Headphones blasting at full volume and walking in the hallway.

Cole Brookstone, one of the students who were known to be a “member” of the “Garma-dork squad”, other than that, he was known as one of the most laid-back students who couldn’t care less about anything. School has ended, but that didn’t stop some students from being in the school. Whether they’d be doing club activities or to just hang out after school to finish up some homework. Cole was accepted into the music club, although due to the work of being a secret ninja and with all the exams coming up, he had to be absent most of the time. Kai was also accepted into the club but he isn’t as passionate nor as committed to music like Cole, so Kai left the club a while back to join any sports club.

Cole’s phone died during his last period so he was listening to some music through his large boombox which was currently playing some AC/DC. Bopping his head to the tunes and the rhythm, he made it in front of the music club’s door, but before he entered, he heard some noises on the other side of the door. Slipping off his headphones and pausing the music, he pressed his ear against the door.

Silence was heard on the other side but then a loud electric guitar noise was heard, making Cole flinch back in surprise.

Slowly turning the doorknob, he peeped through curiously. The music was louder than before, his brows burrowed at the absence of the rest of the club members, was he too late or too early? Looking more into the room, he spotted a girl with a black shiny electric guitar, her back was facing Cole, hiding her face. He took in some details of the female in front of him with curiosity lingering on his face.

Settling behind her, he sat on the blue carpeted floor, listening intently to her tunes and stringing, her fingers dancing across the strings and she plucks and bends them. Bopping her head up and down to the rock like music.

Cole’s face grew a smile onto his lips as he stared in amazement at her talent, recognizing the song.

She was playing the guitar solo of the song “I don’t wanna be me” by Type O Negative.

Her fingers going up and down the fret board, her hair jumping from her head bops. The song came to an end as she paused and sighed, then becoming startled by the sound of clapping coming from behind her.

Turning quickly, she saw Cole sitting down on the floor, boombox next to him as he was clapping his hands at her solo. “That was awesome” he spoke out happily at her accomplishment, her face held a slight pink tint on her cheeks from embarrassment and from someone seeing her play for the first time.

“Thank you! I wasn’t expecting someone to watch, I would’ve done much more better” She spoke out softly with a small chuckle, turning around to her guitar stand, she turned off the big amp as she placed the shiny instrument on the stand, while at the same time she was pulling out her aux cord. Cole stood up from the floor while watching her clean up, deciding to break the silence he spoke out first.

“So am I late to the meeting or was I early?” Cole asked with curiosity in his tone, the girl turned to look at as she grabbed her bag, “oh, for music club? It was canceled today and was rescheduled to tomorrow” she grabbed her phone and showed him the texts in the group chat.

“Ah, okay I see, my phone died in last period so I didn’t see.” He replied back to her, silence was filled in the room as they awkwardly stood there in the middle of the room.

“So, what’s your name?” The girl asked, saving them from the deafening silence, Cole was secretly grateful. “I’m Cole, what about you?” He stuffed his hands in his pockets as he looked at the girl in front of him. “I’m Y/n, it’s nice to meet you” She spoke out with a closed eyed smile, he felt an immense surge of relaxation from the girl, something about her was calming and comforting, like a warm aura.

Checking the time on her phone, she had a few minutes left till she has to take her leave. “So, you’re friends with Lloyd?” She asked curiously, “I usually see you by the lockers with him and the others” she added on, Cole immediately felt uncomfortable, not like he was uncomfortable, he felt that he was making her uncomfortable. “Oh, uh, yeah I am, I swear Lloyd is-“ being cut off from the girl she smiled and nodded.

“That’s cool, I’ve always wondered how is he, even though we never really talked nor does he know me, I was always so worried for him cause of all the bullying, especially from chen” her smooth voice replied at cole, making him stunned at her words, she doesn’t hate Lloyd. Which was rare, especially from being in this city.

“You don’t hate him?” He asked whilst tilting his head to the side.

You disagreed and started to state your opinion on the blonde boy. You were about to speak up once more but a ringing was heard in your pockets, you earned a phone call by your ‘mother dearest’ as how you would like to call her.

“Well, looks like i gotta go, see you around?” You smiled at the muscular teenager in front of you as he nodded, “yeah, see you later” he held up his fist in which you knocked your knuckles against his with a smile. Exiting through the door, Cole couldn’t help but smile as he made a new friend.

Maybe he should go to the music club more often.

Kai lurched forward with a sharp gasp. Eyes wide and hands clutching the sheets. His gaze zipped around the room frantically, and when he recognized it as his bedroom he slowly started to calm down. 

It was only a nightmare. 

He caught the sight of light flickering out of the corners of his eyes and he cursed when he realized he had accidentally lit his sheet on fire. "Ah fuck-" He smacked at the flames until they went out. Huffing before leaning against the bed frame. 

Sweat clung to his shirtless torso, glistening in the pale light of the moon peeking through his window. 

Kai ran a hand through his hair in clear agitation. Trying his best to still his racing heart. 

He knew it was just a dream. His mind playing sick jokes on him. But he couldn't help but worry. Her scream's lingered in the back of his mind, and he knew he couldn't just sit here. He had to see her. He had to know she was going to be okay.

The window squeaked as he slid it open and Kai visibly winced at the sound. He slipped through the opening, feet landing soundlessly on the floor. He did his best to close the window more quietly but it still squawked irritably at him. Kai swore under his breath, clicking his tongue in annoyance. He shook his head to himself before turning around.

His gaze immediately softened at the sight of her. A soft lump in the middle of her mattress. Most of the blanket tangled around her legs. And her pillows strewn about on the floor.

Kai couldn't help but smile. He padded softly towards Y/n, grabbing the pillows and placing them back on the bed before slowly and carefully untangling the blanket. He draped it over her before removing his mask and gi, tossing it off to the side and changing into the spare clothes he left here. Which consisted of sweat pants. 

Kai slipped into the bed, snaking his arms around Y/n's waist and pulling her back flush against his bare chest. He held back a tired groan as he let his body sink into her plush mattress. Placing a few tender kisses to her shoulder.

Y/n stirred and he winced at the sight of her pretty e/c eyes squinting up at him. "Kai?" she was groggy and still half asleep, but she didn't hesitate to turn around so she was facing him.

"Hey princess, sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." He whispered, tucking a few strands of stray hair behind her ear.

Y/n hummed, "S'okay. I don't mind." She leaned up and pressed her face into the crook of his neck. Kai let out a shaky breath and pulled her closer towards him. Resting his chin atop her head. "You smell good." He laughed softly at her muffled comment, humming in appreciation.

"So do you.." he rubbed slow circles into her back and the two drifted off into silence for a few moments. Kai assumed Y/n had fallen back asleep, but he himself was wide awake. Allowing his thoughts to consume him.

He could still see the blood pooling around his feet. 

"Your heart is beating really fast." He almost jumped at the sound of her voice, surprised she was still conscious.

"It is?"

She hummed.

Y/n pulled back so she could look up at him, squinting in the darkness of her bedroom. "What's up?" Kai was silent for a moment, and she searched his gaze quietly. Awaiting his reply. Her eyes softened when realization struck her. "Are you having nightmares again?"

Kai's lips pulled down in a frown for the briefest of moments. He reached up to run a hand through his hair nervously. "Yeah.. But uh, don't worry about it. It's nothing."

Y/n shook her head, "It's not nothing, Kai.. It's okay to be scared." she leaned up and planted a kiss to his lips. She slipped her arm around his neck, fingers playing with the hairs on his nape. Kai's eyes slid close for a moment in content. 

"I know," he mumbled, peeking his eyes back open to catch the worry in her eyes.

"Do you?" She wet her lips with her tongue out of habit and his gaze followed the motion.

It felt like cotton had been shoved down his throat, and so he nodded to answer her question. Y/n didn't look convinced.

"You're welcome any time, Kai. No matter how late or early it is. And if you want to talk about it, we can. But if you'd rather we don't, that's okay too." She shrugged, running her fingers through his hair, nails gently dragging along his scalp.

Y/n knew just how to make him feel better. His heart squeezed at her words and he leaned down to press a tender kiss to her forehead.

"I just want to be here with you." He breathed, and she smiled. Sliding her hand up and cupping the side of his face. Her thumb slid along his cheekbone softly, and Kai couldn't help but lean into her touch. Letting out a heavy and content breath through his nose. Ruffling a few of her baby hairs tickling his skin. 

"I wouldn't have it any other way." She mumbled, leaning forward and pressing a tender and loving smooch to his chin.

Kai's heart swelled at the action and he planted his lips to the top of her head before pulling her even closer to him. They stayed like that for a long time, simply holding onto each other and listening to the sound of each other's breathing. 

Kai felt complete and utter bliss. Laying there with her head on his chest. Hearts beating in perfect sync. 

And he finally fell asleep, knowing Y/n was safe in his arms.

Working on my oni lloyd/raised by garmadon in the movie verse fic (I'm actually on chapter 2 pregnancy brain fog is just so bad that when I read back through with a moment of clarity it's just me going wtf this isn't coherent or in character)

Movie Koko will just be Misako in this fic and I am blending their personalities (because there are a lot of subtle differences that add up)

Kind of blending movie and show garmadon (it's just really hard for me to write movie garmadon.)

I'm adding in my hc that the Great Devourers venom is a neuro toxin and Garmadon has brain damage to his frontal lobe

Lloyd doesn't want to be a war lord but doesn't really know what else he could possibly do with his life

Lloyd and Jay are going to be the first one to get along because Lloyd discovers Jay and him are mutuals online in Star farer forums and Jay got him into the lore about prime empire

It was Kai's idea to kidnap Lloyd the others went along with it because it seemed like Kai had a solid plan that he just hadn't shared yet

He didn't

Lloyd tracks a particular sea turtle who nests on the volcano because when he was little she used to let him climb onto her back and just ride around and she tends to stay close to the volcano because he feeds her invasive jelly fish (sometimes imported with the purpose of giving to her)

Nya and Lloyd will bond over their mutual hobbies in marine biology and robotics

Lloyd is crazy smart from being around the scientists all the time since they often baby sat him when he wasn't allowed to help take over ninjago

But they did let him learn a lot of lessons the hard way because they were busy doing the research they actually want to do (Garmadon pays really high for engineers so science interns are recommended to go to him if they want to make money for research fast)

They and the elected officials benefit from Garmadon attacking the city

He gets tax payer money as a thanks for his contributions in providing distractions for when things are messy

Harumi is the princess and she does still blame Lloyd for the Great Devourer but it's more complicated and definitely not his fault

I'm writing a story to post on AO3 in English, it takes place in the universe of Lego NINJAGO: The Movie

is a teenage romance where Cole is the protagonist, being a young rocker, a fan of bands from the 80s and 90s and very spontaneous. He will have to mature and learn to deal with his feelings when Jay shows up at his school. There's more, but the basics are exactly that.

The Fanfic is currently in development, the idea is that it will have 15 chapters together with drawings, if everything goes well, it will be posted in December of this year.

I'm posting here to get feedback on the idea and hear the opinion of the majority of the Fandom about it (here in Brazil, NINJAGO is not exactly well known lol)

Zephyrus & Boreas 

Euphrasia had always been weird, she knew that, but she had been the.... normal type of weirdness. The one who was quiet because she was shy, instead of quiet because she was hiding something 

But that was before, before that fateful day. 

It had been a stupid decision really, I mean, what had she been thinking playing that close to the edge? And in a gust of wind, a stumble, and a crumble of dirt, it all came crashing down. Literally. 

No one knew what lay below the cloud kingdom, no one lived to tell the tale, and so, as the air rushed past and Euphrasia screamed. She shut her eyes tight, the tears flying past her, instead of rolling gently down her cheeks. She curled up, as if that would protect her from the ground below. 

 And then, perhaps it was instinct, or coincidence, but she shoved her arms out, down to her sides. 

She was gasping for breath and then realized that she could hear herself breathing, and she couldn't hear the wind rushing past anymore.  She cracked one eyelid open, and then the other, and realized that she could still feel the wind around her, and yet, she wasn't moving. 

The wind came out from her hands and swirled up and around her, gently cradling her body. she gasped, and the draft around her stuttered, dropping her a few feet in the sky before catching her again. She shrieked, her breaths coming short and slow, calming herself, she wasn't sure what was happening, but if she just breathed... 

She exhaled, and as she did, the air around her pushed her upwards. She inhaled, and the wind paused, slowing slightly.  

Carefully, carefully she extended her legs, and felt the air extend with them. She exhaled again and this time, she uncertainly launched herself much further, soaring clumsily into the air. 

A small laugh escaped her as she continued to slowly glide upwards, stumbling and stuttering, until she reached the edge of the floating island. She gripped the edge of the island tightly, struggling to pull herself up back onto the island, and with one last gasping breath, she pushed herself up, and felt the air under her give out. 

She sits on the edge of the island, her arms and cloak wrapped around her, as she shakes, her breath coming in short, terrified gasps. The power, and freedom, and wind is gone, and all that’s left is... her 

Weeks passed, and she began to feel a bubbling pit of guilt in her stomach. She hadn’t told anyone about the incident, and she hadn’t tried to use her newfound “powers” either. She hoped that none of that had actually been her doing. Perhaps a benevolent traveler who had stayed out of sight, or a young “monk-in-training" who had been messing around with the scrolls. 

But the tugging in her gut every time a breeze blew by, the lightness she had when she took time to meditate, her seemingly “out of nowhere” agility, all told her differently. 

It wasn’t like she was stupid either, she had read the scrolls, about the ninja, masters of the elements, and she had seen the scroll slot labeled “master of wind” strangely empty amidst the vast wall. But that shouldn't be her, it couldn’t be!  

Monks weren’t supposed to interfere with the elements, if she was found out, she’d be exiled from the kingdom for sure! 

And yet, eventually, the pit in her stomach, the longing for freedom, won her over. 

So now, she sat in her room, windows closed, and door locked, and sat at her desk, lit only by a few candles. She had a small, square piece of paper in her hands, which she was concentrating on folding. She folded and creased the body, overlapped the paper to form wings, and pulled out a head and a tail. 

In her hands, she held a small paper crane. She took it over to her bed and settled cross-legged on the covers. 

She closed her eyes and invoked the energy from before, feeling it tingle and dance across her skin. She took a deep breath, and freed the energy, feeling it flow down into her fingertips and bubble up at the tip, then, she exhaled, and released the energy. 

She felt the air around her fluttering, and she cracked open an eye just in time to see the paper crane rise, before falling back down into her palms. She let out an airy giggle at the result, and repeated the process, to a similar effect. 

Just as she went to try a third time, feeling the buzz along her arms, she heard a sharp rap at the door. 

“Euphrasia! Time for dinner!” 

Euphrasia jumped, feeling her concentration snap, and the power dancing along her fizzled out. She sighed, feeling awfully glad she locked the door, “Coming!” She called back, quickly, but gently placing the crane on her windowsill, she leapt off the bed, unlocked the door, and went to go join her family. 

Euphrasia kept practicing, and although she could still only keep it up for about a minute at a time, and had to rest afterwards, her powers were getting stronger, slowly.

But they weren’t the only thing that seemed to be getting stronger. 

After the day with the paper crane, she began to see Him. He started as nothing more than a gray-Ish-green-Ish blob in her peripheral vision, distracting, and moving like the wind. But He got stronger. Dark hair that swayed in the breeze, dull eyes that darted quickly around the room, bandages around his arms and legs, and a (half burnt half ripped) ragged green ninja Gi. 

She tries her best to ignore him, hallucinations of edgy teenagers she's never seen before can't be good for her mental health, and then one day, while sitting on her bed, practicing with the paper crane, she hears Him. 

“First master, I hate this place’ 

She blinks rapidly at the raspy voice, and her paper crane faltered before righting itself again. What was that? 

She felt a light breeze brush her back, as though someone was looking over her shoulder from above, and stared harder at the crane, willing it to fly, but the Voice spoke again, breaking her concentration. 

“I'm sure I never took this long to figure out my powers.” The voice sighed tiredly, and she felt the strange gust of wind blow to her other side. “I was making kites fly as soon as Wu took me in, unlike those useless ninjas, who had to use their golden weapons until they unlocked their true potential.” 

True potential? She had never heard of that before, but it sounded intriguing, and possibly dangerous, and she didn’t want whatever the voice was figuring out she could hear him. 

She wasn’t quite sure what she was afraid of, it wasn’t like anyone else could see Him, and He didn’t seem to realize she could see Him either. But He radiated an intense energy, almost as though He was constantly fighting against the rules of death itself, as though He was here not by a natural force, but by his own sheer will. Fighting against destiny… well, in cloud kingdom, such a thing was unheard of. If finding out she had powers didn’t get her kicked out of the kingdom, finding out she could see some destiny defying ghost, certainly would. 

And then, in a lowered voice, so much darker, that she wasn’t sure it was the same person speaking  

“Whatever, I never needed Wu (who was Wu?) I would have figured my powers out on my own… probably…” the voice trailed off, tiredly  

“Oh, who am I kidding, cloud kingdom all but banned elemental mastery after… the ninja, there’s no way this kid'll find a mentor. What wasted potential.” 

Euphrasia whipped around to stare Him in the eyes for the first time, “if my potentials so wasted why don’t you mentor me? Instead of floating over my shoulder and complaining” 

He jumped (jumped? Flew?) back, startled, and she glared at him, fuming. 

“You can see me?” He whispered; eyes wide. She squinted at him 

“Yeah, and it’s really distracting.” 

She had no idea where this sudden boldness came from, and, of course, it left just as quickly when the ghost swooped toward her, his eyes narrow and his face taut as he glared at her, seething. 

“Well pardon me for talking when I thought no one else could hear me” 

Euphrasia shied back, almost falling backwards in the process 

The ghost grinned devilishly, before barking out a harsh, raspy laugh that sounded like wind whistling though the tallest tower in the sky. “I'll admit kid, you've got spirit, maybe I was wrong about your potential after all...?” 

Euphrasia blinked, before her whole face lit up, and she scrambled closer to him eagerly “D-does this mean you'll teach me?!” the words came out in a singular, rushed breath, and the ghost paused, startled by her, before sighing 

“If you want-” Euphrasia let out a squeal, before positioning herself, legs crossed, hands clasped her lap, eagerly looking up and the startled looking ghoul in front of her. 

“Oh, well then-” the ghost was cut off by another interruption 

“Wait!” He paused, looking down at the young girl in front of him “what’s your name?” 

The ghost paused, looking down at her with careful consideration 

“Morro, my name is morro.”
