Dad just bought the remastered Legacy Of Kain game on Steam and shared it with me. It's a blast of nostalgia for us. I remember just sitting on the couch after elementary and watching him complete the various games on the PlayStation 2. It was lovely, because we'd make commentary on things happening in-game or our thoughts on what was going to happen next. It was quite the bonding experience for us, and we were both horrified at the shitty port to steam the originals had because we couldn't play them, even with a dedicated controller.

But now it's remastered, and hopefully better optimized for computers (guess what i'm doing after I finish this post because the install just finished)

Dad had a sobering moment during all of this, however. We talked about how we hoped Jax & Daxter got a remastered for steam because we would both be purchasing it the moment it was released and we started talking about when things were first released because 'the graphics were shit compared to now. I refused to get the first blood omen because of how bad and simple it was'.

The original legacy of kain games are just shy of a full year older than me. That... that was sobering for him. Because really- a defining point in my childhood is the same age as me.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered is here, for the 25th anniversary of this game, the epic conflict between Kain and Raziel.

Especially the first Soul Reaver game is my favorite and I'm happy that it's coming back in a Remaster, so I'm going to play this game, go back and see the great story of Raziel being betrayed by Kain and I don't think you'll see me posting around here for a while.
