Real Housewives of Dallas is Cancelled?!

Bravo has officially announced that season 6 of RHOD will not return as planned in 2022 and the show has now been put on an indefinite hiatus.

This came as no huge surprise, really. 

RHOD has never really been a hit and I’ve said numerous times on this blog that they were at the bottom of the totem pole.

I felt hopeful when Tiffany Moon joined the cast in season 5, but that crashed and burned with the ugly feud she had with Kameron Westcott.

Kameron’s family attacked Tiffany most viciously on Twitter and tried to get her fired.

I didn’t completely hate season 5, but their Twitter war got so ugly that it overshadowed the entire season.

And their feud may probably have created issues with the casting of season 6. 

In my opinion Kameron should have been fired from the show.

But they had also lost Brandi Redmond. She had announced earlier this year that she was leaving the show after season 5.

She might have felt that she needed to leave to remove herself from the wrath of LeeAnne Locken.

She had called LeeAnne a racist at the reunion of season 4 and LeeAnne was later fired from the show.

She was known for her anger and holding on to grudges.

The women said at the reunion that they suspected LeeAnne of leaking the video of Brandi mocking Asian eyes and her husband kissing another woman.

With the racial scandals, low ratings and the potentially casting headaches, it probably wasn’t the hardest decision to put the entire show on an indefinite hiatus.

My suspicion though is if Bravo will redirect their focus on a new show in that area.

After the shit show with Real Housewives of D.C. and the White House break in, Bravo cancelled the show and years later we got a show in Potomac.

It makes me wonder if there are any truths to the rumors about a Real Housewives show in Nashville.

However, Bravo need something that will excite us now – and sadly the housewives of Dallas never really got us excited.

It’s a Shame Bravo Let This Happen

The feud between Kameron Westcott and Tiffany Moon on Twitter has gotten so bad it has gone legal.

It looked like Tiffany was in fact quitting RHOD for a hot second there.

She has speculated in numerous interviews if she would want to return for another season. 

Her co-workers at the hospital and family members are against her doing the show.

It surely would be a great loss to lose Tiffany who brought such fun energy, reads and entertainment to the show.

But it would be unfortunate for Bravo to lose her in the mix of the feud between her and Karen – I mean Kameron.

It doesn’t look good that they are not reprimanding Kameron for her family’s attack on Tiffany’s livelihood on Twitter. This is so ugly!

Bravo tried to smooth it all over by posting this on Instagram:

“Bravo strongly supports the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community. Anti-Racism is, in fact, not a form of racism and the network stands by Dr. Tiffany Moon and her advocacy against racism and violence.”

Is this a response to Kameron’s husband’s gaslighting tweet that’s now deleted? He posted this outrageous accusation on Twitter:

“’Anti-racism’ is racism. It discriminates by the color of ones skin. They tried that once in Germany, it did not work out well. I don’t understand how many of your patients would be comfortable with treating them with your open vile racism.”

Is Bravo truly outraged by the Westcotts’ attack on Tiffany, or is it because of Tiffany’s legal actions?

They were really quick in apologizing for the Native American head piece on RHOA and forced Kenya Moore to give out an apology.

Why are they not holding Kameron’s feet to the fire? She needs to be fired!

We’ve talked about LeeAnne Locken and Brandi Redmond in regard to racism, but what about Kameron?

This, in my opinion, is way worse!

And even though her bio info changed to “Previous cast member on RHOD”, it doesn’t look like she will give up without a legal fight against the Westcotts.

And I’m on Team Tiffany all the way!
