Another strange movie similar to 'Infinity Pool'. Although, this one was too violent and bloody to my notion.

Basically a parasitic Devil Wears Prada.

This movie was insane because of all the things they wanted to comment on and critique. Capitalism, Canada’s medical system, eugenics, the foster care system, PTSD, vegetarianism, cult-like followers, self-confidence, the list continues. But the things is - it was all done really well. No stone left unturned sort of a thing.

Something worth mentioning, the team that made the prosthetics for this film deserve a raise. So well done. And the writers that worked on the medical/science aspects made sure the script was compelling and not boring. I kiss you all on the forehead. Muah.

Canada can’t do every piece of media well, but I luckily had two good horror movies in a row.

OH MY GOD. I am going to need pre-2020 films to stop mirroring the pandemic. It’s alarming.

are looking for some good ol’ Canadian horror

I love how Ri'nela and Askari look together when he wears this outfit. Olo'eyktan and Tsahik vibes. Nela is so wise and humble. The most kind and chill npc in AFoP, besides Okul of course. I love listening to her when she shares with us her thoughts about Sarentu traditions and culture (my respect to her voice actress Hanneke Talbot, a very soothing and gentle voice). Hope she'll be out of harm in the next DLC cause my heart won't survive this. I wish my Sarentu and her could become a couple, but I doubt that such option is possible at all

Is there a new sheriff in town? Or an outlaw?

As if the cast of When Hope Calls Season 2 wasn't impressive enough, with Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Nick Bateman, Trevor Donovan, Wendy Crewson, Hanneke Talbot, Morgan Kohan, and Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka, today we learned that two more Great American Family stars have joined the all-star cast!

Before I make the reveal, When Hope Calls is currently expected to premiere in January of 2025 on Great American Family. An actual premiere date has not been given.

So, who has joined the cast?

It's Jesse Hutch, star of Christmas Under the Northern Lights, A Little Women's Christmas, A Christmas Blessing, and more!

Jesse shared the image above on Instagram with the caption:

Another picture that Jesse shared (see above) revealed another Great American Family star... Sarah Fisher, of A Harvest Homecoming and Meet Me Under the Mistletoe.

It should be fun to learn who Jesse and Sarah's characters will be in the series. Are they, perhaps, a couple?

July 24th - Shimmer

Selinda Flinders and her brother, Baran, grew up somewhere in Australia.  Both were metahumans and were teased by their peers for their being different.  While her brother had size manipulation and enhanced strength, Selinda possessed the ability to temporarily transmute any element or compound into any other.  The two siblings eventually fought back against their tormentors with the use of their power and were subsequently run out of town. They ended up in Markovia, where they were put in the care of Doctor Helga Jace.  Dr. Jace was able to teach Selinda to better master her powers.  She took the codename ‘Shimmer’ and both she and her brother decided to become super villains; joining Dr. Light’s team, The Fearsome Five.  As a member of The Fearsome Five, Shimmer battled The Teen Titans on numerous occasions.  She later joined The Secret Society of Super Villains.  A version of Shimmer featured in the television series Titans, portrayed by actress Hanneke Talbot.  The villainess first appeared in the pages of The New Teen Titans #3 (1981).
