u can love a character & still admit when they're wrong. i love leafpool warrior cats but i acknowledge her flaws (none she’s perfect) & can hold her accountable for her wrongdoings (she’s never done anything wrong in her life) & call her out on her actions (which are always right)

And the last of my little clay creations, we have the best cat of all the murder kitties, Leafpool!! I knew I wanted to make a Leafpool from the start, and I'm really happy with how she came out!! She's a little uneven/lumpy in some places, but practice is practice! Now she can live on my warriors shelf hehe

a lot of "why are we hating on fernsong he's a good boy :(" energy pops up whenever people start getting more critical or petty about ivyfern but it's like. no i truly get it. he is her personalityless nothingburger heteronormative husband she was unceremoniously slapped together with for next gen kids, and the fandom LOVES him because of one scene that implies the bare minimum of decent fatherhood (not even shown on screen. doesnt come to fruition) that suddenly means their offscreen relationship is queering up gender norms or whatever and the best leap for feminism in the series. if i was an ivypool stan id be bitter about that too wtf

I know I’m not the first person to say this but godddd Hawkfrost being the father of the three would have worked so much better for the story on every level… Leafpool and Squirrelflight having even more reason to keep the secret bc that guy tried to kill their dad/Thunderclan’s leader! Brambleclaw unknowingly raising the children of the murderous half-brother he killed… Lionblaze training with Hawkfrost in hell… the parallels between Brambleclaw killing Hawkfrost at the river and Hollyleaf killing Ashfur at the river… Hawkfrost’s ghost eventually killing Hollyleaf!! Mothwing stealing her pos brother’s girlfriend… we could have had it all

She sighs in relief. “Thank the stars- I’ve had enough badgers to last me a lifetime- oh, you should probably get that checked out, though.”

Squirrelflight gestures to a den that smells strongly of and is decorated with herbs. “My sister- Leafpool- Star Leafpool, that is- is our herbalist. Well. Our acting herbalist. And Luminary. You should go talk to her, see if you can stay a while… and maybe ask her how she’s doing?”

Squirrelflight sighs, shoulders slumping. “It’s been a rough couple weeks.”

You walk towards the den, and are greeted by Star Leafpool. She stares at you, bone-tired.

“Welcome, traveler,” she says. Upon noticing your wound, she ushers you into the den, before starting to grind up herbs to heal it…
