Hello! I don't use Tumblr much at all anymore but looking at your Mumbo art had me very curious. I noticed you usually draw him with a ring on his index finger, is there any particular reasoning for this detail? I'll admit I went to look and see if you drew Grian with one as well, to see if maybe it would be related to a shipping head cannon, but didn't notice anything. So I thought, why not ask lmao.

ty for your question, anon! the reason is actually related to shipping, but not grumbo. these are redwood’s rings :D

in last life, martyn and mumbo are canonically married, so on some of my last life fanarts with mumbo or martyn there will be this detail.

specific moment with a timecode how this actually started, if you’re interested:

i have been a bit busy irl lately- midterms are coming up and im SEVERELY regretting taking AP calc, but on the bright side, I’m boutta jump headfirst into playing minecraft once again, and im rlly looking forwards to winter break, when i can go ahead and do that :}

i’m hoping ill be done withe the animatic by new years, but we shall see how busy i am- next teaser wont be for a bit though, unless…? we’ll see xd

Skizz:

If Impulse is an Imp, then Skizz is a Cherub.

When he's not a red name he's just the NICEST MAN he can't even kill a cow.

Which is such a fun flip to draw when he finally does go red.

Seriously the whole words of affirmations thing from Limited Life?

I'm kind of torn on the arm scars being scars or stripes and so the answer is both.

I love all the fracturing, singing, and tearing of the Red Name - the tie, the halo, and the wings all kind of go red along with his hair, I had fun with that.

He has the bluest blue eyes to ever blue.

I was gonna give him a dad bod like Imp but the arm muscles kinda took over I'm not sure what happened.

Tango:

God I love this design. A flaming jeroba with robot arms.

The gems in his hands indicate what life he's on.

I think maybe the goggles could also crack, and maybe his tail goes out like a spent match on Red? Or maybe the fire gets kind of greasy, haven't figured that out yet.

Bless this man for having the easiest outfit to color of everyone because his hair took FOREVER.

It finally seems like our dear ol' Canary got out of his cage.

I love drawing wings. I think the difference between 'avian' and 'angel' in this particular artstyle is the ear wing things.

He has such a comfy color scheme, I love blue and gold so much actually.

So many good lines too.
