General and dating

- Fast driver, turns those corners like it's nothing.

- Calls you up at very odd hours of the night/day. Doesn't actually have anything to say, he just wants you to talk to him.

- Enjoys comfortable silences.

- Obsessed with the feel of you, not even in a dirty way. He wants to be in your skin.

- Smells like pine needles and smoke (trust me he told me).

- Wiggles his finger in your ear when he wants you to pay attention to him.

- His humor is either eye watering, floor rolling, perfectly timed comedy or literal dad jokes, there's no in-between.

- Silent treatment does not work on him, you'll end up speaking very quickly.

- Snores like "honk shoo, honk shoo"

- Sensitive scalp, the second your hands are in his hair he's struggling to keep his eyes open.

- Teaches you (or tries to-) anything that he's good at/ interested in. So now you have basic knowledge on guitars, drums , painting, colour theory, video games and.... Hamilton??😧

it's no secret that's he's a massive stoner. he smells kind of similar to sal except the weed smell is a LOT more potent and he probably uses axe body spray...

his first bong was probably a gatey. mainly uses blunts for when he's have a long smoke sesh - cus after all, they do take longer to burn and taste better cus they're a mix.

most dates r typically smoke sessions or he'd definitely take you to an abandoned place to tag your names or initials.

omg omg ok when he's high he DEFINITELY goes and raids the nearest 7/11. he always wants donuts and he will ravage that shit like it's the last donut on earth and he's fighting to have it😭

we all know he's a bit lanky, but he wins pretty much every fight he's in. he's kind of feral. he throws a mean ass punch bro

he has a loud ass stereo in his room and BLASTS music w it. like room shaking, ears ringing, eyes vibrating typa blasting...

he gets suspended sm. like, suspended so much it's a miracle that he hasn't been failed a year level due to his attendance.

none of the teachers really care too much about his smoking, they don't get paid enough to give a shit anyways.

i'm kind of conflicted trying to decide between whether he's an ass or tits man. regardless of gender, he loves all parts of ya regardless tbh.

oh my god, he totally watches midnight gospel when he's high. he's like "yeaaa man,, this shits deeeep"

he fucking loves piercings. no doubt. has an eyebrow piercing and a tongue piercing. was so sad when he found out he couldn't smoke for a bit until his tongue piercing healed. (he did it anyway and just used the antiseptic spray after his sessions)

he watches band documentaries like they're the most sacred thing on earth. has a whole youtube playlist for them with literally every band he likes. he's not a big fan on documentaries, obviously, but music ones are just different.

goes to kmart and prints out the worst pictures of his friends to glue into his locker and not so subtly point them out to his friends.

he collects cool looking lighters. mainly bic but he has a few zippo ones. he thinks the funky patterns are rad as fuck and just has a little container full of lighters under his bed.

he has like 7 half drunk water bottles on his nightstand and they grow by the day. nah they grow by the week, mans is obviously the most dehydrated fucker you'll ever meet.

majority of his wardrobe are dirty ass stained band shirts and baggy jeans. notable mentions are studded belts and crusty ass socks with combat boots and converse.

when it's winter, you will NOT see this man without a beanie. they're a must have. he jus gets a little chilly

if you gave him a friendship bracelet or something, he will NEVER EVER take that shit off. he treasures it like it gives him superpowers or some shit

While yes, you are popular and you do hang with that crowd, you were never one to bully. However, you weren’t one to stick up either. Always deciding against it in hopes to keep your status.

But when you saw Sal, shamelessly sticking up for someone because “you have no right to treat them like that”, you immediately were head over heels

Nobody had stuck up to your friends like that, and you were immediately hooked on the masked boy

You don’t hang out with the boy, but you have seen him around school with his small group of friends

I normally wouldn't write something like this, BUT I love Sally Face and it NEEDSSSS more recognition 🙏🙏🙏

 I feel like he would be one of those types of people who carry lotion, hand sanitizer, tissues etc due to him taking good care of his skin/body. Due to what has happened to him, any little germ can get under his skin which is not a good thing :P 

That being said, he would get bad allergic reactions to scented lotions so he’d stick with the typical scents. (However, if it's a scent he really likes..he won't mind getting a rash for once, he already has a prosthetic..) 

SOOOOO good at comforting people. Even if you just met him, he may be a bit awkward but he won't just let you sit there and cry. Possibly just reach in his bag and hand over a tissue while staring at you. 

Again, just carries EVERYTHING. That doesn't mean his bag is full! Due to Ashley, Larry, and even Todd he has random ass items in his bag until they ask if he knows where it is. (Even offering his space to carry your stuff too!)

The type of guy to try and cuff his jeans but they always end up uneven so they either are uneven or not cuffed. (The stains man..)

Lets Ashley paint his nails. Can't tell me otherwise. Usually Black, Red or a blue similar to his hair. Probably matched with the gang at one point due to Ashley begging them. 

Has calluses on his hands due to guitar playing. 

First off, such a good listener to everybody. He could sit there for hours listening to you and comfort you if you felt like you were talking too much. That being said, if you mention you like ANYTHING (such as a candy) you know he will start carrying it just in case you wanted it or had a rough day. 

If he sees a bug or rock he likes, you know its going into a collection. Started collecting rocks in about 7th grade and hasnt stopped since. It probably started just in a box and now has a small display on a nightstand. Bugs he obviously cannot keep in a condition like that so he may just carry it around for a bit on a finger until they are in a place where they are safe. (Maybe even to scare Larry with). 

Is probably used to most jokes that could be considered “too far” or “rude” now due to the insults he's experienced of his prosthetic, but if it ever crosses a line by touching it or even towards a friend…watch out.  

With that, he probably makes dark humor jokes.  

When he's nervous, he probably scratches the sides of his hands or picks at his nails. (They never stood a chance) 

MAN NEEDS NEW SHOES THEY ARE RIPPING APART. SOMEBODY PLEASE 

He jokes around so much with his friends of “bromance” (like fake kissing, lovey terms etc) to the point he has had a rumor or two with his friends.

Cannot do gymnastics tricks well. He probably tried a handstand once to prove to Larry and fell right over. Ash most likely teaches him over time so he gets..better? 

I bet he reads a little! When he isn't ghost hunting or needs a break playing the guitar, he will pick up a book for fun. (Maybe even reads to Gizmo once in awhile)

- his plug is obviously todd's parents, he was probably curious and went to them for support😭

- after that megan incident with sal he literally was so scared to come out of his room for the night to go to the bathroom

- he was so scared he'd find a dead person's ghost chilling in the bathtub

- he def punched the curtain for the bathtub to make sure no demons or ghosts were back there

I don't have a good way to list these, so here's some Sally Face head canons I have with no intentional connections. Also, it's not all scientifically sound since it's based on a videogame about ghosts.

Sal

Sal's mask is partially for holding/mimicking the shape of his eye socket to cradle his glass eye correctly. His doctors did a good job at reconstructing his skull, but his age added some difficulties.

Sal has partial dentures

Gremlins is his comfort movie

The tear duct near his glass eye isn't functional, so he can only cry out of one eye

He has the neatest handwriting of the group

He pulls at his hair when he's anxious

He regularly has to get new hairbands since Gizmo likes to play with them.

Larry

Keanu Reeves is his celebrity crush, and only Ash, Sal, and Todd know

He has a bad knee after falling out of his treehouse a few years before Sal moved in

His wallet is usually empty, but he thinks the chain is cool so he wears it anyway

Sal used to tease him for how much he'd watch Robert when he moved in their senior year. He thought Rob was insanely cool and had no guts to talk to him about music until Sal introduced them

His favorite videogame franchise is Zelda and he's played all the mainline games, renting them to play before he buys any.

He knows a little bit of guitar and bass but doesn't have his own and knows it's best not to borrow Sal's too often

Ash

After episode 5, Ash suffers partial hearing loss in her left ear from the lightning

The "power arm" isn't a constant thing and only glows when it's in its powered state, usually just leaving her arm heavily scarred

She enjoys handy crafts, like sewing, and makes "little dudes" out of old laundry and frabic scraps.

She purchased Sal and Larry their own helmets when she started riding her bike most places (unfortunately, Sal was the only one who got to try his helmet, and only the one time)

Ash doesn't believe in them, but she enjoys using tarot cards and used to do it for the others. Chug seems to believe in them, but the rest are skeptical and/or just enjoy the prospect of it.

Todd

He procrastinates getting ready in the morning. During highschool, this translated to waiting until the last 5 minutes before he had to leave to get dressed.

He used to dislike coffee, but Neil made him some, and he discovered it was just the fact his parents drank instant.

Despite the similar look, his glasses between The Bologna Incident and The Trial are not the same pair. He lost the first pair while in the sub basement of Addison and had to get a new pair.

He regularly falls asleep at his desk. It is not intentional, but he does.

He's the main driver of their friend group, since Ash left Nockfell, Sal prefers not to drive, and Larry got his license suspended.

His vehicle is a white van that is a decommissioned news truck. He mostly got it to cannibalize parts from the broadcasting equipment but thinks it's cool regardless.

General and dating

- He did all his piercings himself and actually did really well, they look professional.

- Loves those psychological thriller thingys, his favorite series is probably like black mirror idk.

-Pet names. Calls you sweetheart ( jokingly) and he also calls you dude (romantically).

- This is literally canon😭, but he has his hands in his pockets all the time. HORRIBLE, horrible posture. He probably suffers from back pain.

- He giggles, I'm telling you his laugh is the cutest thing ever.

- All of his paintings are centered around you. It might not be direct, or a painting of you specifically. It could have been something you said, or something reminded him of you. You're his muse.

- He really likes birds. Sings back to them if no one is watching.

- He's never disagreeable, once it's you. You could tell him to do anything and he'd do it.

- A theater kid at some point.

- That's the reason why he communicates in screams ( no just hear me out-". He screams as a response. Ask him something? He'll probably scream then answer afterwards.

You and Larry were sitting outside 7-Eleven, slurpees in hand and your backs uncomfortably pressed against the brick wall. He's listening to you a lot more than he normally seems to be, because it feels like you're the only one that's really talking— and that's unusual. You wanna know why? Larry never shuts up when he's with you.

You turn to look at him, and that makes things a bit weird because he was already looking at you. He turns his head away and you sigh, brows furrowed in confusion. “Are you alright, dude?” There's silence for a second, and then he looks back over at you.

“Yeah, man, 'm good. Jus' chillin.” He hums in reply, trying to play it cool, and failing fucking miserably, which he usually does.

“..Alright, I'm just checking.” You murmur, staring at him for a second longer. Pausing, you add, “You know you can tell me anything, right?” Larry swallows. “Yeah,”

“I've just been thinking, lately. Like, a lot.” Trying to lighten the awkward situation you've gotten yourself into, you smile and poke fun at him. “You don't think a lot, do ya?”

“Shut up, man. I'm serious.” He groans, looking away yet again and down at his drink, focusing on anything but you.

“Do you really mean it, dude? Like, do you mean it when you say I can tell you anything? 'Cause, like, I don't want you to hate me, man. I couldn't handle that shit.”

“I mean it, Larry. Promise.” You're anxious, wondering about what he's going to say. Usually you can guess what's going to happen with him; you practically know him like the back of your hand, he's your best friend, right?

Nothing more, nothing less.. right? Right? Right. You reassure yourself that you're just setting yourself up to be hurt and zone back in just in time to listen to him.

“Look, man,” He turns to you, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I don't wanna ruin our friendship, 'kay? 'Cause you're like, fucking sick, y'know? It's just, like, lately, I feel like I don't want you to be just my friend. Do you know what I mean?”

Before you can answer, he cuts you off. “And if you don't like me like that, then that's totally cool, man, I understand. I just need to tell you how I feel in case you feel the same. I don't want it to be like, 'what could have been?', do you feel me?”

Beginning to start another mini-monologue, you cut him off. “I feel the same way.” Simple and short, and enough to shut Larry up. “You do?” He asks, looking at you almost dumbfounded. “Do you want to, like, do anything with that? •everyones always asking to touch his hair cuz he takes care of it so well its so soft and curly

•when theres no mysteries to be investigated, the gang likes to have sleepovers at larrys place where they smoke and watch movies and play video games and stuff

•sal and larry take “whats mine is yours” to another level. theyre always together and they share pretty much everything, from clothes to literal toothbrushes (they are disgusting)

•sal brings gizmo to chug’s place sometimes so soda has someone to play with (she likes to style his fur and he steals her stickers)

•a lot of the songs from the ost were songs that sal, larry, and sometimes rob recorded together for fun

•rob also taught them both how to skate

•chug is a massive weeb

•ashley and todd are basically sal and larrys ubers cuz sal has horrible vision and larry got his license revoked

Sally Face HC’s (Thanksgiving Edition!) 

A/N: Hey everybody! I know this is a late post so 😭. But anyways, I hope everyone had a great holiday these past days if you celebrate it! If not, hope you had a great week <3.

I feel like any holidays in the apartments usually go unnoticed at first, however that is until one special year!! 

This year Sal, Lisa, Larry and the gang decided to put a Thanksgiving event together!! 

In order to get this together they decided to wrap around the table and figured out the main details (In the messy handwriting of Larry until Lisa takes over halfway):

The event will be held down in the basement (Larrys and Lisa's apartment) 

They’ll have an “adults” and “kids table”. (Adults versus the teenagers plus Soda). 

A sign up sheet for food! 

Since Lisa and Larry were hosting Thanksgiving, they decided to bring the essentials (forks, spoons, etc) and dessert! 

After brewing up the plan together, Sal and Larry went up together around the apartments to see who would show up and if they had any food to offer.  

Mostly everybody in the apartments came down for Thanksgiving! However Mrs. Rosenberg and Mr.Addison (as expected) did not arrive. 

He did give tea for the occasion however!  

Thanksgiving comes around and everybody has a fun time! All dressed up in the festive mood with flannel tablecloths and cut out leaves Ashley helped set up before <3. 

For Soda, our main guys sit with her and end up coloring around the small table. I feel like they would show her hand turkeys and those: “Im thankful for __” cards. 

However, without them seeing each other's cards they all ended up making their card for eachother <3.  

After the whole event, Larry and Sal sneak out and go spend the rest of Thanksgiving with Megan.
