A Christmas Carol AU
Inspired by a prompt found in the @haunting-heroes-creative-games :) (i.e. back on my shit again)
When a 15 year old Jason, pissed at Bruce for taking Robin away from him, finds his birth certificate he realizes Catherine Todd is not his real mother.
Just as he resolves to go out and search for his birth mother, Jason finds himself accosted by three ghosts in his room, talking about A Christmas Carol of all things.
===
"So, what? We're gonna Christmas Carol him?"
Dan scoffs, crossing his bulky arms with an unimpressed look. "We hated that movie."
"I didn't." Dani chirps, disturbingly cheery, "I didn't see it!"
"We hate Christmas," Danny corrects, "But the movie was alright, and the logic is sound."
"I don't hate Christmas," Dani once again interjects cheerily, "I've never participated!"
"Sound my ass," Dan growls over her, throwing his hands up. "We don't even know this guy!"
"Minor detail." Danny insists, "Tuck can look him up."
"He's a fucking Bat, Danny." Dan scrunches up his face, pinching the bridge of his nose just like Vlad does when he's disgruntled with any of Dad's shenanigans.
"He's a Robin, actually." Dani pipes in, "And he's just a kid. How hard is it gonna be to pretend to be this kid's Ghosts?"
"You're a kid," Dan reminds her, crossing his arms, "And you didn't believe me when I told you sticking a fork in the outlet would shock you."
"I believed you," Dani sniffs haughtily, crossing her arms and pointing her nose up with a snooty voice, "The warning simply did not deter me from doing it anyway."
"We don't have to convince him we're his Ghosts, or even that we knew him before," Danny reasons, needling, "We just have to convince him that we're…"
He hums, pointing at Dani. "Past."
He points at himself, "Present."
He points at Dan, "Future."
Dani does a little cheer, arms up and twirling into the air before landing with her legs over Dan's shoulders, hands and head settling atop Dan's fiery, but harmless, hair. It flickers, before going limp into long white strands that Dani messes up by gently scrunching up the strands and running her fingers through them.
Dan lets her, huffing and looking weirdly like a downtrodden, wet cat. "Why am I future?"
"Because." Danny doesn't continue, because he knows it makes Dan annoyed. True to form, his scowl gets worse, like sucking on a lemon. They all know why anyway.
Dani grins, triumphant and knowing, letting her voice go real deep, "The future," she intones into Dan's hair, "is here."
"The future is now," Danny corrects her, but doesn't lose his smile, floating up to tuck a strand of her hair back behind her ear.
"The future is already here," Dan mumbles his correction, or is it a follow-up? "It's just not evenly distributed."
"How about you distribute some of those muscles, Gibson," Danny sighs, shaking his head "Waiting for puberty is such a drag, and we both know you didn't get the mass from Vlad's side of the family."
Dan makes a moue of disgust, but it serves him right. The consequences of his own actions, and whatnot. He looks up at Dani, who simply shrugs. "I think you'll do great." She leans down to give him two pats on the arm.
"So how's acting out A Christmas Carol gonna help us stop this Jason guy from blowing up?" Dani fiddles with Dan's hair, tongue poking out as she attempts a braid, "Will he even see us? Ghosts in this dimension taste funny."
"He'll be able to see us, it's magically rich enough for some ghosts to maintain a semblance of themselves," Danny explains for the third time. Dani and Dan hum at different pitches, and even though Danny is the common denominator he kind of hates that Vlad has more of a lasting impression on them. "The ectoplasm here is scarce and mostly corrupted, though, so it's rare."
"So there's lotsa bad ghosts here?" Dani eyes the messy braid she's made, proud, even as Dan's silky hair immediately causes it to fall apart, "Or 'mentally unsound' or whatever Frostbite called it."
"No," Dan grumbles, annoyed and indulging all at once, "Corruption begets ecto-rot, but the scarcity means they're not strong enough to actually retain their sense of self enough to rot."
"Shades," Danny explains when Dani looks even more confused, "There's lots of shades."
"Is this one of the Olympian dimensions?" Dani groans, flopping over Dan's shoulder as he sits down on the sofa, "I love Pandora and all, but if I see Zeus again I'm gonna lose it."
"It's one of the hero dimensions," Danny hums, taking over braiding Dan's hair the way Jazz made him when they were little, "There's a couple of Amazons walking about, but on the whole no Olympians."
"I don't know why he didn't just dump me in a Norse dimension." Dan leans back and closes his eyes to their ministrations. "Especially with my current occupation."
The three of them are sitting in Dan's apartment, a large loft studio located somewhere in the UK of the aforementioned hero-dimension. Alber-something, Danny can't remember. Doesn't need to, it being a different dimension from his anyway.
Dan doesn't have a lot of things: a sofa and TV, a bed in the corner, a decent but small kitchen. They're still trying to figure out decorations, but Dan on the whole is a minimalist so it's been slow going.
He's working as a bartender these nights, whiling away his odd existence now that his form has stabilized.
And wasn't that a trip? Learning that hey, adult lightning halfas shouldn't really be mixed with teenage ice halfas, actually!
Apparently, ectoplasm can become corrupted if you try to combine incompatible sources.
Apparently, side effects include (but are not limited to) unmitigated violence and a devastating need for vengeance.
Sound familiar?
"This dimension has a lot of time continuity errors," Danny reminds him, "Dropping you here gave the least amount of pushback."
"Yeah, yeah," Dan flaps a lazy hand, "Praise be the speedforce and flashpoints and whatnot."
"Plus," Dani adds softly, absent-minded as she watches Danny finish up the braid, "Lotsa heroes to help out if you relapse."
Dan heaves a slow, controlled sigh. Danny and Dani both pretend they don't notice.
"Is it bad?" Dan doesn't open his eyes, his voice is so low Danny can only hear him by virtue of his ghost powers, "Like me levels bad?"
"No." Danny shakes his head, leaning into his older self, his older brother of sorts, "He decapitated eight crime lords, killed a couple of assassins, maybe an innocent or two depending on your definition of things."
"Past tense?" Dan scrunches his nose. They all hate how confusing Time Shenanigans are.
"He's living as Red Hood, right this very moment."
"Red Hood?" Dani questions, "That his hero name?"
"Crime lord alias." Danny corrects her, "But he's more of a vigilante these days. Has a bat on his chest and everything."
"But it's bad enough to warrant a trip to the past." Dan points out, "Bad enough for us to try and persuade him. Does he relapse?"
"Not…exactly." Danny scrunches his face, not wanting to explain Clockwork's ambiguity.
Dani floats to spread over Danny and Dan's laps, sprawling out and purring like a cat. Self-soothing, though it's more for their benefit than hers.
"Like Dani said, there’re lots of heroes here, and he doesn't have powers." Danny continues, petting at Dani's soft hair, "The world doesn't end. He doesn't have the means to, even with the ecto-rot."
Danny pauses, and chooses his words deliberately and carefully. "And deep down, Jason Todd is a hero through and through. Relapse would be…difficult. His Obsession is similar to yours."
Dan lets that sit for a moment, but nods, Danny moving a little with the motion. The tension slowly bleeds out as they wait like that, enjoying each other's company.
"If the world doesn't end," Dani whispers, "Why is Clockwork sending all of us?"
Danny thinks on that, on his meeting with Clockwork. The Ancient's voice when he explained what would happen.
He thinks about Jason Todd, about Bruce Wayne, and Catherine, and Sheila. He thinks about Batman, and Robin.
He thinks about Dick Grayson and Tim Drake, about Damian Al Ghul, about Cassandra Cain, and all of Jason's Outlaws.
He thinks about a tattered uniform that stays up in a glass case for a long, long time.
Most of all, he thinks about Dan.
He thinks about regrets and one bad day away.
And then he stops thinking about it, because sometimes the past is the past, and other times, it's the future that never happens that haunts you instead.
"You know, Dani." He settles on, "I'm not sure. He probably has his reasons."
Dan leans heavier onto him, and they lean together like that, with Dani in their laps.
Ghosts of decisions made, unmade, and never to be.

Detective BLU Spy
@hawki-doodles

The Detective BLU Spy is a self-proclaimed lawman with dramatic tendencies and a messy history. Once a cop fired for exposing corruption, he took a detour through the Mafia before landing at Mann Co. for protection, where law is merely but a suggestion. One respawn mishap later and here he is today with the same 20's attitude, He’s big on the law—his own version, anyway—and will lecture you for jaywalking while he picks locks or bugs his own base. Known for his along with his gravelly monologues (usually to himself), he’s as sharp as he is insufferable.
His voice was damaged by his meddles in the mafia, so now he relies on a tape recorder of sorts to communicate. Not only is it used as a prosthetic, but also as a convenient tool in his disguises for work.
P.S. He doesn't use a knife, just a little bomb implanter in his sleeve bc he's extra like that ❤️

Do you like receiving your mail on time and your packages in pristine condition - untouched by curious hands and peeping eyes? Do you love when your woefully embarrassing love letters filled with poetry from your soul are delivered with the utmost care and secrecy? Does it fill you with glee when your special snacks you ordered overseas finally make its way into your hands and not a SINGLE piece is missing?
If you said yes to any of these questions then WOW do I NOT have the guy for you!!!!
Instead-
TFI presents you something you didn't know was possible OR legal - weaponized postal services!
Meet your 10th Class-
The Courier!
By intercepting and opening someone else's mail, an individual can gain access to confidential information that can be used for identity theft, fraud, or other illegal activities. And we wouldn’t want that, now would we? That's why our solution to this simple problem is bringing the mail to the battlefield! Courier is equipped with MANN CO approved disposable stackable mail crates for your climbing or shielding needs. Just think of how nice it would be to build a tower to do taunts on or have cover from that enemy Heavy's hail of bullets. Sure it's clunky but nothing shreds paper faster than a bullet - that's science tested and math approved by TFI scientists! And monkeys!
Courier is THE MANN for the job.
If that ain't enough to catch your attention, let's take a peek at the men behind the uniform.
RED’s Courier is a Puerto Rican ex-felon hailing from the greatest place on earth! New York City! With an insatiable appetite for all things fraud, deli meats, and violence - what more could you ask from a guy?
BLU's Courier is a Puerto Rican-Italian ex-con plucked from the greatest place on earth! Jersey City! With an insatiable appetite for all things smuggling, deli meats, and violence - what more could you ask from a guy?
Not enough for a vote?
Well, listen, I'm not above bribery. If you vote for them, Courier promises to not read your mail for like a week and INSTEAD- will write you up a totally not fraudulent marriage certificate to any merc you want!! Just think! Finally legally married to Heavy! Or Engie! How’s that sound for incentive, boss?
THROUGH RAIN, SHINE, BULLET HAIL OR SNOW, THEY’RE YOUR COURIER.
VOTE FOR COURIER IN THIS UPCOMING TF2 OC CONTEST
Maybe there’ll be enough in the budget for a third one!

Fast fashion giants H&M and Zara have used cotton from farms linked to massive deforestation, land-grabbing, corruption and violence in Brazil, a report by the environmental group Earthsight said Thursday. Based on satellite images, court rulings, shipment records and an undercover investigation, the report, titled "Fashion Crimes," found the companies sourced "tainted cotton" farmed in the fragile Cerrado savanna by two of Brazil's biggest agribusiness firms, SLC Agricola and the Horita Group. Despite abuses linked to its production, the cotton had been labeled as ethical by leading certification scheme Better Cotton, exposing "deep flaws" in the oversight program, said the British environmental group.

A Scarecrow's tale.
Summary:
Following the flooding of much of Gotham City caused by the Riddler and his followers, the poorest parts of Gotham are left with no uncertain future while the rich go into hiding.
With all this new situation, Ellen Joy, a stranger, tries to survive one more day in no man's land, finding work at Arkham State Hospital where she meets a special character. One that brings back bitter memories of the past she vowed to bury—young doctor Jonathan Crane.
Content warnings: depictions of complex trauma, religious fanaticism, southern!Crane, depression, emotional abuse, institutional corruption, abuse of power in the academic and workplace, psychological manipulation, violence (physical and symbolic), gaslighting, power imbalances between characters, slow burn???, main character with addictions, and depictions of mental deterioration. Set in the universe of The Batman (Matt Reeves), without using Y/N, it's an oc! I'm bad at writing with a Y/N I just don't feel comfortable. ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE, SORRY 💔.
Notes: I wasn't sure about posting this and I'm certainly a bit embarrassed since I'm pretty new to this, but I wanted to write something about Murphycrow in the Reeves universe. Pwwww. I think it's a bit of a short, sorry.

ᶜʰᵃᵖᵗᵉʳ ᵒⁿᵉ—
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The city was a mess: flooded and without power in many areas. The National Guard came to help, but even they couldn't prevent the high number of casualties caused by the terrorist attack from the criminal the news had dubbed "The Riddler." It felt like a disease creeping under the skin until it consumed it, leaving it motionless, paralyzed by fear. The poorest neighborhoods, like Crown Point, were the hardest hit, while the rich and powerful at least had options to move amid the chaos. In less than a week, missing person posters covered the walls of streets that hadn't yet flooded.
Ellen was one of the affected. Her apartment, located in a small residential area in the lower part of the city, was completely flooded and lost. Not only did her money and belongings disappear with the water, but also any chance of finding a warm burrow to sleep in.
She had recently graduated in nursing from Gotham University, and although she had a certificate, that didn't guarantee she could find anything.
Then she saw it. It was a small, torn ad in a section of the subway that hadn't ended up underwater. A letter from Arkham requesting staff for the night shift. It wasn't her dream job, but they promised a bed. A bed.
Ellen had dreamed of working at the city hospital, but the next morning, she was standing there, in front of the main entrance to the asylum, holding the few papers she'd managed to save to apply for the job. Her clothes already smelled of dampness and dust, as she hadn’t been able to wash much in the last week. She felt full of shame, feeling once again like that girl from rural Georgia (the same part no one knows because without Atlanta, they were nothing) who had come to Gotham with nothing but a dream. A dream that didn't survive the discovery of how the city treated both its own and outsiders.
The entrance guard was a big man with a broom-like mustache and one of those striking moles that fall into two categories: the kind that adds elegance and the kind that sticks out like a raisin. This man’s was of the second type. Ellen found herself handing over papers and explaining her situation, hoping he would feel pity for her and let her pass for an interview. She prayed that no one would want to work at Arkham, and the place would be empty for her.
“Go ahead, I’ll let the chief psychiatrist know to make room for you in his schedule,” he said, and those words brought a smile to her face.
Ellen entered Arkham with uncertainty. The guards reflected the conditions in which they worked; their steps seemed like those of a baby next to those men who had surely dealt with the worst kind of people in the city. Hopefully, being new, they’d assign her to the ward with the least dangerous patients, far from the high-security cells with the real monsters.
She sat on one of the benches in the waiting room in front of the chief psychiatrist’s office. She had read that the man in charge was new, after the firing of Dr. Ventris under circumstances she didn’t know.
Ellen let her gaze wander over the gray wall; the lights gave the room a cold look, dehumanizing anyone who crossed its threshold. She took out her phone and started scrolling through videos: people eating, girls in expensive clothes… like flipping through fashion magazines she used to buy at the dollar store before she turned twelve.
The distant sound of the elevator snapped her out of her reverie. She quickly turned off her phone when the silhouette of someone appeared in the room. She combed her hair lightly, fixing her undone braid, and licked her lips.
The man who entered didn’t seem like the type of person who would run Arkham: thin, young, with body language that exuded discomfort, though he tried to hide it with a forced and upright posture. He was putting on expensive-looking glasses as he walked.
Ellen stood up immediately, clutching her portfolio to her chest.
“Excuse me, good morning. Are you Dr. Ellroy?” she asked. The man stopped just within her line of sight.
He looked uncomfortable even with his own shadow. His glasses were slightly crooked. He stared at her without blinking for a second.
“Dr. Ellroy? No, no. I’m Dr. Crane,” he replied. They both fell silent, sharing a longer-than-necessary glance.
“So… do you work here too?” Ellen asked, somewhat unsure.
He tilted his head slightly.
“That’s what I’m trying to do.”
He stepped a little closer, lowering his voice as if they were no longer speaking in a public place. Jonathan had those captivating eyes; there was something ghostly in the blue of his gaze.
“You’re here for the night vacancy. There aren’t many applicants. I imagine you didn’t have much of a choice,” he said, almost in a pretentious tone.
Ellen swallowed hard.
“The ad said they offer a bed… and food.”
“And was that enough?”
She hesitated to answer. Jonathan scanned her up and down. He didn’t smile, but his eyes briefly glinted, as if passing judgment.
“What a charitable city,” he commented sarcastically. “At least here, you’ll know when people look at you funny.”
Ellen blinked, confused.
“Excuse me?”
He shook his head, already pulling away.
“Nothing. Welcome to Arkham.”
And just before disappearing completely, his voice came again, almost like a whisper thrown over his shoulder:
“Your name?”
“Ellen. Ellen Joy.”
“I’ll remember you,” were his last words before he entered Dr. Ellroy’s office and closed the door behind him.
A feeling of unease settled in Ellen’s stomach. The encounter had left her with nothing but a bad premonition. She tried to convince herself that she was just a victim of the same prejudice toward the unknown that had infected her whole family at one point.
She sat back down. Sometimes she glanced at the office door, hoping to see the young psychiatrist leave, just to make sure he wasn’t a ghost.
Five minutes later, he left. Ellen looked up, hoping for at least a hint of human warmth, but this time he passed by without a glance, as if he’d never been there.
It must have just been politeness.
Ellen sank into the seat and hugged her portfolio, seeking warmth from within herself. Sometimes she thought Gotham had never been for her, despite everything she had heard on the radio when she was a child.
Half an hour later, the real Dr. Ellroy appeared. He was old, but not enough to be bald. He greeted her with a polite but equally cold attitude.
“Miss Joy, I was told you were waiting for me,” he said. “I’m sorry for keeping you waiting.”
The doctor invited her into his office, the same one Dr. Crane had entered and left just minutes earlier. It was luxuriously decorated. The carpet under Ellen’s feet was probably worth more than the monthly rent of her old apartment.
“Have a seat. I heard you’re here for the night shift,” he mentioned while sitting himself down. The dark wooden desk gleamed fiercely. “A brave decision. Not many nurses enjoy spending the night in a place like Arkham.”
Ellen sat down in front of him. The chair was noticeably more comfortable than the one in the hallway. With a forced smile, she nodded. It wasn’t like she had many options.
“Yes, I saw in the ad that they offer a bed and food for night staff, and it seemed... helpful,” she whispered. Her shoes, once white, tapped restlessly on the floor, muffled by the carpet.
“I see. And that’s correct: we offer bed and dinner for night staff since that shift tends to be the toughest,” he said while adjusting his glasses. “Do you have previous experience? Any past work?”
Ellen quickly looked at the portfolio in her arms and placed it on the desk. She stared at it with the intensity of a hungry wolf, hoping he would hurry up. The situation honestly seemed awful.
“No, doctor, but I graduated with honors in nursing from Gotham University. I included a copy of my thesis in the portfolio, one of the few things I could save from the flood,” she said immediately. Maybe mentioning her situation would help her get a quicker “yes.” She wasn’t lying, she was just making the most of her circumstances.
“Flood? You were affected by that madman’s attack, right?” he asked. She nodded. “I see. We have him locked up… in the maximum-security wing.”
The doctor flipped through the portfolio. Ellen couldn’t do anything but watch him, wishing he would accept her immediately. She didn’t even care that the cause of her misfortune was nearby.
“And…?” she asked with a nervous smile. The doctor seemed amused.
“It’s a perfect academic record. You definitely meet the characteristics of an ideal nurse,” he said. The words returned Ellen’s breath.
She was already savoring a dry bed and a hot dinner.
“We’ll give you a month’s trial to evaluate you properly, of course, but given your situation, we can guarantee you the bed, but not the food, as that comes with the pay,” Ellroy explained. “You can start tomorrow.”
“Can I start today?”
Her words came out faster than anything else, almost grabbing the edge of the chair to avoid jumping on the psychiatrist. She knew she sounded desperate, but she really was.
The older man fell silent but didn’t deny her request, just another workhorse to help lighten the mood.
“Sure, then you’ll need to go to the laundry to request a uniform and fill out some papers to ensure everything is in order. Your shift would start at 8 pm and end at 7 am.”
Ellen barely heard what he said after the “sure,” she just looked at him. She was going to be locked up with the worst of the worst in a hostile and indifferent environment, but at least a warm bed would welcome her.
"Regarding a possible advance payment if we see good results... you could look into it at the end of the month, depending on your performance, of course. The rules here are strict, and we don't have room for mistakes, but we’re not inhuman either," he finished in a neutral tone, though with a certain weight in his words.
Ellen nodded forcefully, trying to hide the tremor in her hands. One month. Just one month, and maybe she could have some stability. She only needed to hold back the fear.
"Thank you very much, Dr. Ellroy. I promise I won’t disappoint you," she said, with a mix of humility and barely contained desperation.
He simply made a gesture with his hand.
"Ms. Danvers, head nurse of the night shift, will show you your duties. Present your papers at reception and then pick up your uniform at the supply room. Welcome to Arkham, Ms. Joy."
Ellen stood up, gave a clumsy little bow, and left the office, feeling as though she had just crossed an invisible threshold into a world nothing like the one she had dreamed of in college.
Back in the hallway, she saw no sign of Dr. Crane. Not even a shadow. Just the distant murmur of closing doors and the deep sound of the heating system knocking against the pipes.
As she walked down the hallway, a nurse passed by without greeting her, as if she were already used to seeing new faces that wouldn’t last. Ellen felt like she had to cling to whatever little she had left, even if it was just her wet portfolio and her hope.
She followed a narrow hallway, indicated by one of the guards, until she reached a door with a metallic sign: "Nursing – Authorized Personnel." She knocked twice and entered when she heard a voice saying "come in."
The head nurse was a stocky woman with a square face and a permanent expression of disgust. Her hair was pulled back so tightly that it seemed to stretch the skin on her forehead, and her white uniform was immaculate, with not a single wrinkle. A small plaque hung from her lab coat: Mrs. Danvers.
"Are you the new one?" she asked without lifting her gaze from a file. Ellen nodded.
"Well. Let me tell you something, kid: this is not a regular hospital. Here, it’s not about curing, it’s about containing. And the most important thing: don’t talk to them unless they talk to you, and never touch them unless it's strictly necessary. Got it?"
"Yes, ma'am," Ellen replied in a thin voice.
"Your uniform is in room 6B. They’ve assigned you a bed on the third floor, west wing. You’ll share a room with two others. In this place, if you want to survive, don’t ask questions and don’t be late for your shift. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. At 8, your shift begins. And remember: if you hear laughter where there should be none, don’t follow it."
Ellen stood in silence, absorbing every word as if it were an oath. Danvers let out a grunt.
"Follow me, I’ll give you a quick tour before your shift starts."
They walked down the hallways as if Arkham had a life of its own, breathing through its damp walls and distant whispers. The lights flickered every now and then, and the echo of other footsteps could be heard, even though there was no one at the end of the hall.
They passed several observation cells with reinforced doors that barely allowed a glimpse of the figures inside. Danvers explained the basics: medication routines, temperature control, guard changes. Everything was mechanical, impersonal.
In one of the corridors, they suddenly stopped. Two guards were pushing a stretcher on which a patient writhed, strapped with leather restraints. He was completely covered with a straitjacket, yet he screamed like a wounded animal, spitting saliva and threats at those holding him.
"They’re not dead! I saw them move! They talked to me last night, they said you aren’t real!"
Ellen stepped aside, stomach churning. The patient turned slightly as they passed and yelled at her:
"You’re gonna burn too! You’ll hear them crying inside the walls!"
The guards dragged him into the elevator, and the echo of his screams faded as if Arkham were swallowing them. Mrs. Danvers didn’t seem to flinch.
"Those are the easy ones," she said dryly. "The important thing is to stay calm. If one smells your fear, they all will."
They continued walking. As they passed a back door, Danvers muttered:
"This is where we go to smoke. Although you shouldn’t," she added, glancing at her. "But you will anyway."
She kept walking, but Ellen stopped for a moment, drawn to a shadow on the outside near the gate leading to the back garden. She approached quietly and saw him.
Jonathan Crane, with his back to her, his white coat billowing slightly in the breeze, held a lit cigarette between his long fingers. He smoked in silence, staring at the gate as if waiting to see something beyond the boundaries of the asylum. He didn’t look relaxed or at peace. Rather, he seemed like someone trapped in a pause between two unsettling thoughts.
Ellen made no sound, but he seemed to notice her. Without turning around, he spoke:
"Do you know it’s not allowed to be out here without authorization?"
She didn’t answer. His silhouette, outlined against the dim light of the security lamp, made him seem almost unreal.
"But... I guess the rules don’t matter much anymore, huh?" he added before crushing the cigarette against the gate and disappearing through a side door.
Ellen stood for a few more seconds, feeling the smell of tobacco mixed with something else: that damp breeze that Arkham always brings at night, as if it were coming from the depths of a forgotten grave.
Then she resumed her walk. Her shift started at eight.
And something inside her told her that this would be the last night she’d sleep with both eyes closed.

Unveiling the evil agenda
What seemed like the aftermath of 9/11 which happened around 22 years ago, was a well-planned conspiracy. Intended false propaganda. A successful attempt to draw a clear picture of a terrorist in the eyes of the world. Torturing Muslim nations, hiding it ever so subtly under the guise of various uneven blames, then filming their resistance in the most brutal visuals and labeling it as terrorism. Every Muslim man who wore a skull cap, or sported a sunnah beard, every Muslim woman who wore a burqa or hijab or niqab was now a terrorist for mere choice of their clothing. Saying Allahu Akbar made people terrorists. Practicing Islam in public places made people terrorists. Revealing the Muslim identity and in fact, just existing as a Muslim made a person terrorist. Just because the USA painted 9/11 with a lie, that it was done by Muslims. Which in reality, was an attack launched by Israel; According to the US Army report. Ironically enough.
Now the world has memorized one lesson like a child memorizes rhymes. Every terrorist comes from Islam, even when the nations have gone through brutal oppression for ages for their faith are Muslims. In Uyghur, Sudan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, India, Palestine, Sri Lanka, France, Bosnia and the counting doesn't seem to cease. The world was made so Islamophobic by this propaganda so the real Terrorists would continue their assault and massacre smoothly while wearing "white" collars.
Today, with these videos surfacing we see, Jewish/Zionists/White supremacists/Racist people celebrating/chanting "Death to the Arabs" "Death to prophet Muhammad"
(NaudhuBiAllah) (ﷺ). All the while they continue to rain white phosphorus bombs over a huge population of civilians, including children, women, and elderly and unarmed men. The world calls it self-defense and not terrorism or genocide when it's as clear and broad as daylight.
Why?
Because the one being killed belongs to Islam. That child whose birth certificate was not issued, was he a terrorist?
That kid whose body could fit in a school bag of his brother, was he a terrorist?
They are conducting gatherings where they openly call for genocide, "kill them all!" "Wipe all Arabs!" But no one seems to take it as an extremist activity.
Why don't we ever call a jew a terrorist? Why don't Fox News, CNN, and BBC scream on television that "Judaism is the real cause of terrorism?"
These Jewish settlers are proudly announcing that they will turn the Gazza Strip into a cemetery, level it, and occupy it because they are good and "chosen" for that land. The prime minister on air says "children of darkness" to Palestinian children. The cold-blooded hate is ever so apparent on their faces, their demonic eyes show what viciousness they are harnessing against a population whose land they stole.
Yet, no one thinks to call Israel a terrorist state.
This was the agenda all over. A fire caused diversion, so the real terrorists could cross the borders. Now, it's the time when the oppressors and the oppressed both are before our eyes. It's the time we choose to see the truth we've been kept away from, for all these years. We remove that false flag, erase the fake image generated for terrorism, and see the flags with blue and white as flags of terrorism.
These two nations, the USA and Israel are two major terrorist states. They destroyed Afghanistan, they destroyed Syria, Iraq, Libya, and many more countries for their greed over oil, they have a known history of colonization, and occupation, and their divide-and-rule policy has created massive drifts between harmonious populations. And they are the ones who should be taken into international law courts for severe crimes, for the assassination of all those Muslim leaders who dared to expose their false propaganda and lies (King Faisal, Saddam Hussain) for example).
It's time the world unites against corrupt and greedy leaders who can kill their people to gain sympathy and catch attention. Just like they killed the people in World Trade Centre.

Disclaimer: These details are what we have currently made and are subject to being changed in the future. I’ll post a notice if a major change is made.
So chronologically Yusuke goes after Ryuji's but my friend is gonna explain Yusuke's so its Haru's turn
Astarte's Adelaide's Meadow
Heavenly Virtue: Charity
Palace Ruler: Haru Okumura
Treasure: Core of the Meadow (Cognitive), Father's death certificate (Reality)
Haru's palace is her father's space station crash landed onto Earth. The Sci-fi aesthetic of the station is destroyed by plants and greenery that covers the palace. It manifests this way from Haru's nurturing and caring nature being mixed in with her complicated relationship with Okumura foods and her father. Adelaide is the name of the saint her new persona is but at the start of the palace, the Infiltrators are lead to believe its called "Astarte's Meadow" as Haru is still renovating the space station and hasn't updated the sign.
Shadow Haru is a forest witch with a long white dress and her short hair turned long and luscious, reaching down to her fingertips.
Shadow Haru is well regarded in her palace with the shadows actually addressing her as "mother", fitting her nurturing nature and her virtue of Charity. Despite this however, Shadow Haru can be quite cruel as in the real world, all Okumura food chains along with other businesses under her control have a unique system of payment. If you're kind and virtuous, you can get items severely discounted or free of charge but if you're judged as evil and or a detriment to society, items are charged at higher prices which can hike up to millions of yen for a simple burger.
This is a problem for the Infiltrators who are judged to be problematic due to them opposing the Phantom Thieves. Hilariously, Akechi's prices are far higher than Sumire and Maruki's but even Maruki, who gave the Thieves therapy, can't get a remotely reasonable price so the Infiltrators will be getting supplies by a different means which will be detailed in another post.
Gameplay wise, her palace has fetch quests as to proceed you have to give vegetables to cognitions. These vegetables are the ones she grew for the Phantom Thieves so can't be found anywhere outside of her palace. Your etiquette with the cognitions will be carefully watched as if your anything short of polite and kind with them, Haru will be alerted and you will likely get into a fight. Aside from fetch quests, you also have to go around collecting parts from the wreckage of the space station to create a laser in order to be able to access her treasure as its hidden away under vines so thick, it could break the Infiltrators' weapons if they tried to force it.
Shadow Haru's distortion views her cognitions as her children and as their mother, it is her duty to ensure they grow happy and healthy in a world rid of corruption and greed. It is from this distortion that causes her Shadow's feelings on her father to look very different. Regular Haru loves her father and mourns him, Shadow Haru has a far more negative view of her father, considering him a greedy spaceman who abandoned her for a utopia he didn't make it to and she chose to stay in his space station to completely wreck it and turn it into her home base as she works with the Phantom Thieves for their utopia.

What Really Happened When Article 370 Was Removed?
Life in Kashmir After Modi Removed Article 370: A Multifaceted Transformation (Note: Imagery and video references are suggested in brackets for illustrative purposes.)
Introduction
[Image: A panoramic view of Srinagar’s Dal Lake with shikaras and mountains in the background.] On August 5, 2019, India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government revoked Article 370 of the Constitution, stripping Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) of its semi-autonomous status and bifurcating it into two Union Territories: J&K and Ladakh. This historic decision, framed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a step toward “integrating Kashmir into India” and fostering development, has reshaped the region’s political, economic, and social fabric. Over four years later, life in Kashmir remains a complex tapestry of hope, uncertainty, and resistance.
Historical Context of Article 370
[Video: Archival footage of J&K’s accession to India in 1947.] Article 370, enacted in 1949, granted J&K autonomy over its internal governance—except defense, foreign affairs, and communications—while Article 35A (a derivative) barred outsiders from buying land or claiming state jobs. For decades, these provisions symbolized Kashmir’s unique identity within India. However, critics argued they hindered economic integration and fueled separatism. The BJP’s ideological commitment to abolishing Article 370, a promise in its 2019 election manifesto, culminated in its abrupt revocation, accompanied by a communications blackout and mass detentions.
Political Changes: Centralization and Discontent
[Image: Paramilitary troops patrolling near the now-defunct J&K Legislative Assembly building.] The immediate aftermath saw J&K’s statehood dissolved and placed under direct federal rule. Prominent political leaders, including former Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, were detained for months. While the government argued this would curb corruption and dynastic politics, local parties decried it as “disenfranchisement.”
The 2020 District Development Council elections, the first major polls post-370, saw high voter turnout but were marred by allegations of coercion. New Delhi’s appointment of non-local bureaucrats to key administrative roles further fueled perceptions of marginalization. Despite promises to restore statehood, J&K remains a Union Territory, deepening distrust among locals.
Economic Impact: Promises vs. Reality
[Image: Construction workers at a highway project under the Modi government’s infrastructure push.] The Centre pledged ₹80,000 crore ($10.7 billion) in investments for roads, hospitals, and tourism. While infrastructure projects like the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link have advanced, locals report limited job opportunities. Unemployment remains at 18%—double the national average—according to 2022 data.
Tourism, a lifeline for Kashmir’s economy, plummeted post-2019 due to security clampdowns and COVID-19. Although arrivals rebounded to 1.88 million tourists in 2022, hoteliers cite erratic internet and fears of unrest as persistent challenges. Apple growers, contributing to 80% of India’s apple production, faced losses during frequent highway blockades.
Social and Cultural Shifts: Identity Under Siege
[Image: A protestor holding a placard reading “Protect Kashmiri Identity” during a demonstration in Srinagar.] The revocation ignited fears of demographic flooding after new domicile laws allowed non-residents to obtain permanent residency. Over 4 million certificates have been issued since 2020, including to non-Kashmiris, raising anxieties about cultural dilution.
Educational institutions, once hubs of political discourse, now operate under heightened surveillance. Students recount self-censorship to avoid scrutiny. The internet shutdowns, which lasted 18 months for high-speed services, disrupted online learning during the pandemic, exacerbating educational gaps.
Cultural symbols like the Kashmiri language and festivals face renewed interest among youth as acts of resistance. However, the loss of political autonomy has left many grappling with a fractured sense of identity.
Security Situation: Militancy and Human Rights
[Video: Security forces conducting counterinsurgency operations in a Kashmiri village.] The government claims terrorism-related incidents dropped by 59% between 2018 and 2022. However, targeted killings of minorities and migrant workers surged in 2021–2022, reflecting persistent militancy. Over 500 militants and 100 security personnel have died in clashes since 2019.
Human rights groups highlight ongoing abuses: arbitrary detentions under the Public Safety Act, restrictions on public assembly, and alleged torture. The Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), which grants immunity to security forces, remains in place despite calls for repeal.
[Image: A family mourning during the funeral of a civilian killed in crossfire.]
International Reactions: Diplomacy and Disapproval
[Image: UN Security Council discussing Kashmir in a closed session.] Pakistan condemned the move, downgrading diplomatic ties and suspending trade. China, which claims parts of Ladakh, criticized the bifurcation. The UN called for dialogue but took no concrete action. While the U.S. and EU initially expressed concern, they largely accepted India’s stance as an internal matter. Gulf nations like Saudi Arabia and UAE, mindful of economic ties with India, stayed neutral.
Conclusion: An Uncertain Future
[Image: A Kashmiri farmer tending saffron fields with barbed wire in the background.] Life in Kashmir post-370 is marked by paradoxes: economic potential overshadowed by unemployment, peace overtures undermined by violence, and integration efforts clashing with cultural preservation. While the government touts “normalcy,” grassroots discontent simmers. The Supreme Court’s pending verdict on petitions challenging the revocation could further shape Kashmir’s trajectory.
For now, Kashmiris navigate a fragile existence, caught between hope for development and fears of eroding autonomy. As poet Agha Shahid Ali wrote, “The world is full of paper. Write to me.” The next chapter of Kashmir’s story remains unwritten

John 6v35-40:- Unless you eat the flesh of Jesus and Drink Blood of Chri... John 6v35-40:- Unless you eat the flesh of Jesus and Drink the Blood of Christ, you have no Part in me. https://youtu.be/KFZ0eKnAO8w Holy Gospel according to Saint John 6,35-40. Jesus said to the crowds, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. As in Yahweh, we eat bread bought from a shop to fill our stomach, so we eat the spiritual Bread what came out of the Mouth of Jesus called “Eating His Flesh” to satisfy our spiritual Hunger and we Digest His Word logically to Brew “Logo” over our own heart and when we preach the Gospel Truth from the Rooftops, we are enjoying the Refreshing Blood of Christ and we never Thirst again as we explain the Gospel Truth on the logical basis. For example, a Jew, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, etc. is an inwardly spiritual self never born or die but the psychic sons of Satan would proclaim otherwise creating the sectarian riots. But I told you that although you have seen (me) my works, you do not believe because Christ is perceived by the twice-born of the holy spirit, which is “common sense” as possessed by the illiterate shepherds and Farmers but not the dead in the letters, the University Professors of Theology taught by the spiritually blind men of the dead letters, Scriptures without the knowledge of the “Oral Torah”, the Gospel Truth Logo = His Word that Jesus came to deliver to the other Fold but they killed Him. Everything that the Father gives me, His Anointed Son, will come to me as Son, the Christ, inherits the Treasures of His Father and not the Daughter, That is why, we are Fishers of the twice-bprn men, the Masters of their own Destiny and they themselves give their accounts to God instead of to their Rabbi in Moses, and I will not reject anyone under “Agape” who comes to me, Under “Eros”, the tribal love among the people, you hate others but not in the unconditional love of our Father Elohim called “Agape”. Because I came down from Above heaven of Yahweh, the Supernatural World of our Father not to do my own will as Abraham did in Yahweh and settled Hagar and her son Ishmael outside the Boundary of the Israel, but the Will of the One Elohim, Shams, Noor, who sent me. And this is the Will of the one Elohim, who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, the oredestined with swollen buds of the Fig Tree longing for the Gospel Truth, the Right Hand Side of the Boat of God steered by Christ. This is corruption by the Messianic Jews; Was Lazarus raised on the Last Day? The answer is “No”. A corruption by the Messianic Jews to fleece the devotees; But that I should raise it on the last day. For this is the Will of my Father, that everyone who perceives in his heart and not sees the Son. Or listens to Him called eating the flesh of Jesus and believes in him by Preaching the Gospel Truth from the Rooftops called Drinking the Blood of Christ may have eternal life, and corruption:- I shall raise him on the last day." You do not need a certificate from the Antichrist Pope to be proclaimed a “Saint”. The Gospel is best Preached through face-to-face discussions. Our Father Elohim blesses you. Amen. AK Goyal IAS-Empowering Citizens: The Real Goal of Governance
Tumblr media
In any democracy, governance is not just about policies, paperwork, and protocols—it’s about people. The real success of governance lies not in control, but in empowerment. When citizens become active participants in decision-making and development, governance becomes more inclusive, transparent, and transformative.
Throughout my journey in public service, from the grassroots of Telangana to the bustling metropolis of Hyderabad, I’ve learned one fundamental truth: a well-informed and empowered citizen is the most powerful agent of change.
What Does Empowerment Truly Mean?
Empowerment goes beyond providing services. It means giving people the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to shape their own futures. As AK Goel IAS, I’ve always believed that governance should enable—not impose. When we equip citizens to take charge of their own development, they don’t just benefit from the system—they strengthen it.
Bridging the Gap Through Access and Awareness
One of the biggest barriers to empowerment is the lack of awareness. Schemes exist. Benefits are sanctioned. But unless people know what they are entitled to, change remains distant. During my time as AK Goyal IAS, we launched local awareness drives to educate citizens about their rights—be it land titles, health insurance, education schemes, or digital services.
The impact was immediate. Citizens started approaching offices with clarity, confidence, and courage.
Jan Bhagidari: Citizens as Partners
True empowerment happens when people are not just beneficiaries, but stakeholders. While working as AK Goyal Telangana officer, I witnessed how Gram Sabhas, when revived and respected, became powerful platforms for planning village-level development. When people are given a seat at the table, they take ownership of both the process and the outcome.
In one project, villagers even prioritized school infrastructure over road repairs—because they knew their future depended on education. That’s the wisdom of collective decision-making.
Digital Governance: Taking Services to Every Doorstep
Technology is a great leveller. As AK Goel Hyderabad, I was part of initiatives that took government services directly to citizens’ phones—birth certificates, land records, pension updates, and grievance redressal systems. These tools reduced dependency, saved time, and minimized corruption.
Digital empowerment meant that even in remote areas, people could engage with governance on their own terms.
Empowered Citizens Create Accountable Governance
When citizens are aware and vocal, systems are compelled to become transparent. This is why feedback mechanisms, public hearings, and social audits are crucial. As AK Goel IAS, I’ve always encouraged platforms where people can speak up—not just in protest, but in partnership.
It keeps the administration grounded and responsive.
Final Thoughts
Empowerment is not an outcome—it’s a mindset. A society where citizens feel heard, respected, and capable of driving change is the hallmark of good governance.
From my earliest days as AK Goyal IAS, through the rural heartlands of Telangana, to the urban pulse of Hyderabad as AK Goel Hyderabad, one principle has guided my work: people are not subjects of governance—they are its purpose.
And when we empower them, we don’t just build a better system—we build a stronger nation.

The Role of Corruption in Flats in Kochi for Sale Scams
The real estate sector has always been an attractive option for investment, but it is also an industry that suffers from fraudulent activities and unethical dealings. With the rapid pace of urbanization and a growing demand for flats in Kochi for sale, scams and corrupt practices in real estate have become more widespread. Homebuyers and investors need to be aware of these risks and take proactive steps to protect themselves from fraudulent practices. By understanding the impact of corruption in real estate dealings and identifying the signs of scams, individuals can make more informed decisions in their property investments.
How Corruption Influences Real Estate Scams
The influence of corruption is a major factor in the occurrence of real estate fraud. Practices such as bribery, the manipulation of land records, and obtaining unauthorized approvals allow developers to bypass regulations and construct illegal buildings. It is common for corrupt officials to collaborate with unethical developers to approve projects that fail to meet legal standards, which ultimately creates difficulties for buyers. Fake land titles, inflated property prices, and delayed projects due to bureaucratic loopholes are some of the ways corruption directly impacts real estate investments.
Common Property Scams
There are various forms of real estate scams, and being able to identify the warning signs is crucial for buyers to avoid financial dangers.
Risk of Illegal Properties: A common type of scam is the sale of properties that do not have the necessary legal approvals. Unethical developers may market projects that lack essential permits or do not comply with zoning laws, putting buyers at risk of losing their investment.
Misleading Ads and Promises: Another key red flag to consider is the use of misleading advertisements and unrealistic promises. Developers often highlight luxurious amenities, premium infrastructure, and guaranteed returns on investment to attract buyers. However, if an offer seems too advantageous, it is crucial to verify the claims through independent means.
Construction Delays: The issue of delayed possession is a common consequence of unethical practices in the real estate market. Developers who mismanage funds or fail to secure the necessary approvals can lead to extended delays in project completion, leading to financial difficulties for buyers. It is advisable to ensure that the builder has a solid reputation for timely project delivery to reduce such risks.
Legal Precautions for Homebuyers
Ensuring protection from real estate scams requires a thorough approach to research and legal due diligence. One of the most important steps in this process is to verify the legal status of the property. Homebuyers should ensure that the property has received the necessary approvals from local municipal authorities, secured environmental clearances, and is registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Consulting a legal expert to review the sale agreement, land title documents, and encumbrance certificates can effectively prevent any unforeseen legal problems.
Government Reforms in Real Estate
Governments have undertaken several strategies to address corruption and fraudulent activities in the real estate sector. The introduction of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has played a significant role in improving transparency and accountability among developers. RERA requires builders to register their projects, disclose financial details, and follow strict deadlines. In addition to RERA, the digitization of land records has effectively reduced the occurrence of land fraud cases. With property ownership data readily available online, buyers can easily verify land titles and confirm that the property is not subject to any legal disputes.
Conclusion
The real estate market is rich with investment opportunities, yet buyers face challenges related to scams and corruption. At Kent Constructions, we believe in transparency, ethical business practices, and customer satisfaction. Our commitment to legal compliance and timely project delivery ensures that homebuyers can invest with confidence. Whether you are looking for apartments in Kerala or planning a real estate investment, choosing a trusted builder is key to ensuring the security of your investment and enjoying a stress-free home-buying experience.

Privatised Vocational Training Certification A Crooked Business
Tumblr media
The neoliberal mantra has been privatise, privatise, privatise. For profit operations do it better, apparently. The reality, however, is a different story in Australia and elsewhere. Privatised vocational training certification a crooked business. Ten years of LNP Coalition federal governments saw a big uptick in the privatisation of training colleges. This largely unregulated sector is rife with bogus certificates being issued by dodgy operators. It is estimated that a third of the 4 000 training and certification businesses in Australia are crooked and issuing false certificates for fast bucks. Why is this happening? “Privatisation was supposed to improve the range and quality of training offerings, make the sector more responsive to the needs of industry, and to provide greater transparency. None of these promises has been met. The lack of transparency seen with Vocation is far worse for unlisted providers and for unregistered providers party to subcontracting arrangements.” - (https://theconversation.com/privatisation-of-vocational-education-isnt-working-37788)
Tumblr media
Regulation Lacking In The Training Certification Sector
Once again the regulator is a toothless tiger, underfunded to meet the demands of the sector. This is the Australian way, to privatise sectors and then rely on the integrity of those operating in the industry. Self-regulation is very popular downunder. The neoliberal philosophy endowers profitability as the sacred cow over and above all other concerns. Criminal intent and infiltration by organised crime is neither here nor there for the Czars of privatisation. Once privatised the politicians move on and look the other way until investigative reporters force the issue, as they have done via the ABC in this instance. https://iview.abc.net.au/show/7-30/series/0/video/SEGS2025104929734 Bogus Certification Rife In Workplaces Around Australia The upshot of this is that tens of thousands of Australians working in roles requiring vocational certification are not properly trained or trained at all for the jobs they are doing. Child care and aged care is rife with this in Australia. Those looking after your kids and aged parents or grandparents may well not be adequately trained for the roles they are performing. This is contributing to the serious problems we have seen in these sectors, in aged care particularly. Building sites have workers engaged in potentially dangerous activities who lack the proper training to be on these sites. This is what Australia does, it pretends to conform to more onerous occupation health and safety requirements but fudges their enforcement.
Tumblr media
Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com Slack Coalition Enforcement Of Standards The Albanese government regulators have picked up 18, 000 false and inadequate vocational training certificates since they started cracking down on this Morrison LNP government lax left over fiasco endangering Australians. Privatised vocational training certification a crooked business downunder and an example of how neoliberalism fosters it. Let the market take care of business is the motto of neoliberal economics. Well, the market gets flooded with crooks and shonks. Issuing bits of paper and charging folk hundreds and thousands of dollars for them is attractive business. Fast money for worthless pieces of paper. Lack of regulation equates with scammers and corrupt practices. When are people going to wake up to this obvious fact?

Trump & DOGE Fostering Corruption in the US Over in Trump land, Elon Musk and DOGE are stripping regulatory bodies from the American federal government and this will result in a fiesta of crime and corruption. These essentials are the bedrock of human life and you mess with these at your peril. Housing is unaffordable in America because Wall St firms are buying up the housing stock to trade for profit. Health in the US is a minefield of private equity investment firms buying up hospitals for profit. Private health insurance companies are raping the citizenry for profit. Pharmaceutical companies charge more in the US for product than anywhere else. Higher education is a veritable sea of investment via financializing degrees to the detriment of student affordability. Ruthless  manipulated capitalism eating its own everywhere you look. Oligarchs and billionaires preying on the lives of the working poor. Monopolies and duopolies via the overconcentration of corporate consolidation through mergers and takeovers means no competition and no consumer economic power. Neoliberalism and its macro corruption rife everywhere you look.
