the princess and her white knight
pairing: chat blanc/adrien agreste x fem!reader
summary: after your boyfriend gets akumatized, you try to hide from him. but cats are good at catching their prey...
tags: angst with a happy ending, akumatized!adrien/chat noir, cat blanc breaking free from the akuma, hugging, hurt/comfort
"what's wrong, princess? why are you running away from me~?"
chat blanc's voice echoed through an empty paris. there was nobody left but the two of you. just like he wanted it. he had you all for himself. but the one behind the mask wasn't the one you had fallen in love with. this wasn't your chat anymore!
"you're hurting my feelings, you know…?"
chat sighed, looking around the empty streets of paris for you. you had managed to slip away from him and hide. but his voice came closer and closer. and you knew you couldn't hide forever…
"gotcha~!"
suddenly, you were pressed against the nearest wall, as chat surprised you out of nowhere. though it shouldn't be a surprise that the cat was good at catching his prey…
"there you are, princess… why were you running away from me?"
chat slightly raised you up from the ground, your feet hanging in the air, as he kept you pinned against the wall.
"you're… not him!" you huffed, struggling to push off the akumatized version of the one you loved. "you're not my chat–!!"
a sinister laugh escaped from his lips.
"i'm all yours, princess~ why can't you see that? who cares who i am? chat noir, chat blanc… it's all the same!"
you glared at him, but your attempts to escape only seemed to amuse chat blanc. until you just gave up…
"adrien…" you whispered softly, the name alone getting chat blanc to flinch. "i love you… i know you're still in there… please, stop this…"
without a warning, chat blanc backed away from you, causing you to stumble back onto your feet as they met the ground again.
"g-get away from me…"
your head shot up and when you looked into his eyes, you knew this wasn't chat blanc talking.
"adrien…!"
"please… get away from me… i can't… hold back… i'll hurt you…"
every word leaving his lips seemed to be a struggle. it was like adrien was fighting against himself, deep inside. or rather, like he was fighting the akuma.
"i'm not going anywhere…"
adrien's eyes widened in horror as you wrapped your arms around him tight.
"you can do this… you can reject the akuma, adrien…!"
your boyfriend was sobbing, his arms helplessly hanging at his side. he didn't have the strength to hug you back, the battle he was fighting on the inside taking all that he had. until finally, he let out an ear-piercing scream and collapsed into your arms, the akuma from his bell flying off into the sky…
you held on close to adrien. the world around you didn't change. there was no ladybug to purify the akuma anymore. it was just you and him. and it would always just stay you and him. but at least you now had your adrien back. at least you'd now have each other...

Chloe Knows:
Apparently game Chloe knows Marinette is Ladybug, so I wrote this:
Summary: Chloé Bourgeois is perhaps the last person Marinette expected to see on her roof after having lost the Miraculous to Felix.
Chloé Bourgeois is also probably the person Marinette least wants to see on her roof.
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, Chloe knows more than she's ever let on and that complicates things, but it just might end up helping too.
Chloe Knows:
The last thing Marinette expected to deal with right now was Chloe hanging out on her roof, arms folded and tapping her yellow jacket impatiently.
It was also the last thing Marinette wanted to deal with, save maybe finding Hawk Moth waiting for her. & that thought just sent her gut into a tailspin, so Marinette forced open her ceiling hatch and stalked onto the roof.
Chloe zeroed in on her instantly, hissing, "You kept me waiting!"
Marinette barely resisted the urge to grab and shake the blonde, because she had only just finished re-tethering herself after the disaster of losing the Miracle Box.
Still, she had just enough restraint to only force her way into Chloe's space, grounding out, "How did you trick my parents into letting you up here, Chloe?"
The blonde blinked confusedly, "I climbed?" She motioned to a discarded pair of gloves sitting in the rooftop bin. "Why would I talk to your parents about that anyway? This is our business."
Marinette tried very hard to parse that question but she was still trying to process Chloe having scaled her walls!?
"Because they-, I-" No she as not dealing with that right now. "Chloe we don't have business!" Marinette settled on, arms flailing.
"Normally we wouldn't, you made sure of that-"
"Oh I made sure of it?"
"Yes you," Chloe huffed, somehow the one affronted, "When you got me to be terrible for my mother, then made it impossible for me to be good as Queen Bee by taking Pollen. Now you go and lose her & the others? I thought you were at least cunning to pull that scheme off Dupain-Cheng, or are you just lucky!?"
Marinette technically 'heard' what Chloe said, but she didn't have the wherewithal to react to it. Not right now as her whole world felt like it was suddenly unreal and empty and yet crushingly full all at once.
"Hah, haha, what are you t- talking about? Me, take a pollen? I don't know what that is? I don't even like wasps!"
Chloe dragged her hands down her face, screaming into her palms, "You cannot be this thick, no one can, for the- I know you're Ladybug, I've known your Ladybug for ages. Now tell me how you lost the Miraculous!"
"I could never be-"
Chloe stepped forward, counting off on her fingers.
"Rena is Alya, Nino is Carapace, Sabrina the Hound, Max is Pegasus, Kim is monkey guy and Zoe is Vespera, very petty of you, kudos really. Need I list more?"
"I"
"I've seen your Kwami, do I need to grab your damned earrings!?"
Marinette's hands flew to them, and she flung herself back, then started to giggle, maniacally.
"Hahaha, of- of course, this is a nightmare! All a nightmare! I didn't fail, Chloe doesn't know anything, I didn't get tricked by Felix and doom Paris! Hahaha- OW!"
Chloe pulled her hand back and out of pinching distance.
"You're awake Dupain-Cheng & finally answered my question to boot. Felix, ugh!! What, did he pull that stupid 'I'm Adrien' stunt and you just tripped over yourself?"
"Actually-" Tikki cut in gently, drifting out of her bag. "There was no tripping that I recall, & he'd had help this time, as Adrien wished to stay in Paris so it was more believable."
Marinette felt like her throat was closing up as she rasped, "Tikki, why!?"
The Kwami turned to her, big eyes doleful, "I am sorry Marinette, but it was obvious she knew and has evidently known for sometime. I felt you continuing to try and cover this up would only make things worse not better."
"Good thing too, I was about to tackle her and shake you out of that bag-ah!"
Marinette grabbed Chloe, spun her around and trapped her against the nearest wall. Eyes wild and frantic, the command phrase to transform dancing on her lips.
"Where's Hawk Moth? What's your game Chloe!?"
"If this was a game I'd be having fun, also," Chloe brought her hands up, and sharply but lightly 'chopped' her way out of Marinette's grip with the sudden pressure on her elbows and then shot out of grabbing range.
"Uhu, you had your chance to straddle me and passed it up."
Marinette's overtaxed brain wanted to 'scream' at that particular mental image. But Ladybug Brain was taking over and she snapped.
"How long have you known? It can't be that long or Hawk Moth would have found out already. After Penal-Team, no after-"
"Are you kidding? I've known way longer than that," Chloe boasted.
"Then why doesn't Hawk Moth know? Why didn't you just Akumatize and bring him the Miraculous!?" Marinette hissed.
"Because I don't want him to win, obviously!"
"You say you want him to win all the time!"
"I say stupid stuff when I'm angry, sue me!"
"Marinette!" Her parents called, and she could hear them racing up the ladder and nearly tripping over one another in a bid to make it to the rood.
Tikki vanished back into her purse and Marinette stood stock still frozen as her parents clambered out. Her mother hugging her close and her dad stepping between her and Chloe.
"How did you get up here?" Her father groused.
"Marinette, are you OK?" Sabine asked, fretfully.
A million and one excuses flew through Marinette's exhausted brain. Class project, Chat Noir dumped Chloe on her roof, she was Ladybug & Chloe had come to yell at her- No wait, that was the truth!
"What business is it of yours?" Chloe snapped back, evidently not intimidated by her father.
"Because this is our home, and our daughter and you are trespassing." Tom rumbled.
Chloe leaned to the side and looked at Marinette, still in her mothers arms, and then pointedly looked 'past' them.
"That doesn't answer my question, Marinette and I's business is none of yours."
Her mother frowned, "You've never had business with our daughter, just sharp words at best. You have no right to her or anything here."
"Ch- Chloe was just checking up on me, after Monarch's announcement." Marinette rambled, trying to piece the pieces together into something workable that wouldn't send Chloe into a fit.
Both her parents looked stunned and also like they wanted to ask if she was concussed.
Fortunately, Chloe managed to pick up where she'd left off.
"Exactly, we certainly aren't friends, but I felt obliged to check up on someone else I knew Ladybug wouldn't check on."
"What?" Her mothers hug tightened, and her voice actually quivered.
Her father looked between the two sides, seemingly lost for what to do with himself.
The pieces fell into place and Marinette came to the truth, in a sense.
"I was Multi-Mouse, when my science teacher god Akumatized, Ladybug needed someone who was good at multitasking."
"Marinette," Her father rushed forward and pulled her into a hug that knocked the air out of her lungs.
"I... I helped her, I did OK I think."
"You got the Miraculous back so you did your job," Chloe cut in, neither warm nor scathing.
Her mother evidently didn't agree, "It shouldn't have been her job, either of your jobs. You're children!"
"Mum, dad, it's fine, really it's fine!"
Her mother ran a hand through her hair, "I feel like there's something you aren't saying sweetheart."
She glanced at Chloe who was watching the exchange with an inscrutable expression. Some strange mix of confusion and almost starvation like hunger that was honestly painful to perceive.
Marinette licked her lips and pressed on.
"Chloe was right that Ladybug might not check up on me. At least not in a way I could see."
"She's usually such a good hero?" Her father said, sounding despondent.
"It's because I asked her too! I... When I was Multi-Mouse, I used the other Miraculous. A lot. I shouldn't have, but nothing bad happened!" she hastily added, at her parents near frantic looks of worry.
"Ladybug warned me, but I misunderstood and she said even though I was OK this time I shouldn't use magic again for a long time. I was upset, I wanted to help her, I-"
Why was she crying?
"I wanted to be a good hero, but I just screwed up and now," she was sobbing. Gods she was sobbing in her mothers arms.
"There there, my treasure, I am sure you were brilliant, let it out," her mother stroked her hair while her father hovered protectively, one large hand rubbing circles on her back.
Fortunately, Marinette had already cried her heart out once tonight and was too tired for a truly spectacular breakdown.
She managed to half slip her mothers grip, wiping at her eyes. "Thanks, both of you," she glanced at Chloe who was back to not quite staring at them. Her face was a mask of forced, haughty neutrality that looked like it was being kept in place with wires buried beneath her skin.
"Thanks for checking up on me Chloe, and for somehow not telling Hawkmoth our, my, anyone's identities when he had you Akumatized all those times." Because she still needed an answer to that, only the fact Tikki hadn't seemed panicked was keeping her grounded.
Chloe swallowed, hands clenching and unclenching before she spoke.
"Yes, well, I might not be Queen Bee or a hero anymore, but ridiculous circumstances demand ridiculous actions. So for tonight I'm a hero and it's the duty of a hero to look out for people. Even one's they hate."
OK, ow.
Chloe pressed on, "As to identities," She shrugged. "If that idiot Hawkmoth, Shadowmoth or whatever he's calling himself had that kind of control he wouldn't have to wait for people to break before getting them under his thumb. Even when I let him in the last few times, I never let him dig deep and I'd just kick him out if he tried to paw at any of my secrets."
Marinette felt like her heart was going to collapse in on itself because, "Even knowing everything you do, you just- I can't- I don't understand you at all Chloe!"
That actually seemed to draw the blonde up short, "That's a surprise, I thought you knew me better than anyone. You're certainly good at," Chloe looked at her parents ten back to Marinette, "Hitting my weak spots when we come to blows."
It felt like there was a lot to unpack there and for the first time in a long time, Marinette knew she'd actually have to spare no small amount of time and thought on Chloe's inner workings.
For now though.
"Even if you 'can' just kick him out."
"You know I can!" Chloe stomped her foot. "You saw me do it when I was Penal-Team!"
"That's my point! Isn't that like willingly helping him!? Other people have to be tricked!"
Chloe scoffed, "Tricked she says, don't over-sell it, it's being angry or sad, or whatever and taking a deal. Besides, does it look like I'm helping? I played soccer for an hour then quit."
"You had a bunch of people trapped in deadly orbs Chloe!"
"So what!? People try to kill me all the time! Ivan tried to smear me on the pavement! Nathanial tried to chop my legs off! Mommy murdered me and no one cared! No one!"
There was a choked edge in that but Chloe pressed on. "Because it's not a big deal, and anyone trying to make it a big deal is just looking for sympathy points, so there."
She huffed and unfolded her arms, "Anyway you've clearly got people to tend to and I got what I came for. See you at school, Multi-Mouse."
With that she marched across the rooftop to her sky-box. "I'm not climbing the walls again if I don't have to so I'll just leave out the front and avoid the stray dog."
Before she reached the door, Marinette was surprised to see her mother reach out and gently grasp Chloe's shoulder.
"Chloe," She said firmly, as the blonde practically froze up, looking half ready to bolt, or shout. "Thank you for checking up on our daughter, that was a good thing and for whatever it's worth. People should have cared, I'm sorry those who should don't."
There was a moment where Marinette honestly expected Chloe to start crying, to fling herself at her mother and howl and sob. She was sure she saw something glisten in her eyes before Chloe wiped it away, and swallowed.
Her voice was rough as she said, "It's... Thanks, or whatever, doesn't matter. I don't need anyone's help."
"Everyone needs someone, so if your feelings change, don't be afraid to ask, people can surprise you. Especially if you don't break into their house." Her mother said the last part with a sort of forced, hopeful smile.
Chloe nodded, like taking an instruction, a rasped something escaping her lips before she achingly pulled away and climbed down the ladder.
A million and one feelings, questions and terrors still swirled in Marinette's mind but as her father and mother gently guided her down the ladder, intent on hot coco and comfort talk. She knew they'd have to wait. Could wait, until she was rested and ready.
Even still, a part of her would linger on the question of Chloe. What to think, to feel, to do, certainly. But also on the quieter, more uncomfortable thoughts.
Like who someone who felt they had no one would turn to if they were desperate and at the end of their rope.
'& it's not just Chloe either, who does Chat Noir have besides me?'
It was an uncomfortable thought, but one buoyed by a new revelation. No matter how omnipotent Hawk Moth seemed, no matter how all knowing he claimed to be; he was clearly far less than that.
It wasn't much to build on, but it was something, a foot hold from which she could dig in her heels and drag him down from his perch.
Golden hair flashed in her mind again and another thought echoed in her head.
'One good foot hold may be enough to bring down Hawkmoth. So what could it do for someone else?'
Because no matter what she said or had done, Chloe made a choice tonight, and had been making choices for longer than Marinette realized. Not having fallen down the slope but merely standing on the brink.
'But she took a step back tonight, to somewhere I can reach.'
& maybe all Marinette needed was one good foothold to pull Chloe all the way back, perhaps Farther than she'd ever been, or Marinette even realized was possible.
It was a tender little hope, strange and unsure, but somehow, in Marinette's mind, it felt like solid gold.
NOTES:
Wrote this is one sitting, then edited it, I hope it reads well XD
I have no plans to continue this, though if someone else wants to take it and run with it please feel free. I kind of envision Marinette re-inviting Chloe to the class group chat as a sort of olive branch and them slowly working through their respective issues.
Also Chloe turning up at Felix's with a tazer and the same martial arts skills that let her fight Mayura to a stand still and possibly, violently reclaiming Doosoo, cos you can pry Jock!Chloe from my cold dead hands!

As her eyes fluttered open, the room came into view. The ceiling looked brighter than before and the pain had subsided—but it could very easily be numbness. She could just be numb to the pain, unfeeling.
That meant things would be easier now, right?
Her head throbbed with immense pain, the horrid recollections of the past day—thankfully—blurred by now. She wasn’t sure just how conscious she was yet. The drugs were probably still in her system judging by how her head throbbed and her surroundings seemed more comfortable.
Upon shifting the slightest bit, she felt her skin grazed by the soft touch of something—gentler than any of them could ever possibly be, and warmer than this chilly room could ever get.
It was a blanket.
She was draped in a blanket. The mattress was now a full bed, as she looked to the side. She was on a bed, in a blanket, at a different place.
She jolted awake, though the notion comforted her.
“Hey, hey, it’s ok. You’re safe now, darling.” a gentle voice claimed, sitting up on the couch. He stood up, standing at a comfortable distance from her, his face looking almost scared, too. He looked like he was walking on eggshells.
Safe.
She stumbled back. Really, just how well could he be trusted? What were the chances that this was real, and not another dream her mind splayed to her as a way to cope?
She wanted to believe it, she really did. But if she gave in to her mind now, the mental torture would only go on to become worse, would it not? Would she not think of this, the next time they were here?
It was so real that she felt the bed sink beneath her as another man sat down with a mug in his hand. He didn’t look as hesitant or scared or careful as the other man did, offering an almost smug look as he motioned for her to take it.
“S’not poisoned. Promise.” he smirked.
“Hey! don’t be daft,” the other guy in the suit frowned.
The clock ticked and the smoke erupted from the tea. The two people breathed just as she did and the blanket really touched her skin.
It was real.
The bed was as real as the wounds. The tea was as real as her exhausted limbs. She was here—she was away from it all. It was the blanket and not the filthy hands that touched her now, and as she looked at the men in front of her, she felt relieved to see them not trying to move towards her.
Yes, once she realized it was real, she did flinch away from the man with the mug. But he remained there, mug extended towards her, waiting patiently.
“Where am I?” the words scraped by her throat, part out of the still-instilled fear and part out of the incessant need to go home.
“Our house. Oh, I’m Lemon, by the way. And that’s my best mate, my brother, Tangerine.” smiled the guy with the mug.
She still didn’t take the mug. She was still contemplating just how safe she was here, really. “H... Home,” she mumbled, her throat sore from yelling since the past few days.
Lemon and Tangerine shared a look. “Yes, darlin’, we’ll take you home. Jus’ relax for now, at least, yeah?”
She shook her head harshly. Of course it was happening—men weren’t to trust. She swung her hand, hitting the mug in Lemon’s hand, spilling it all over him.
“Bloody hell!” he yelled out, stumbling back and off of the bed.
“No, no,” she spoke in a low tone as she carefully got off the bed, inching away from them. Her limps ached bad, she realized as she set her foot atop the ground, serving as a reminder to her wounds. “Stay away from me.”
“Okay, no—” Tangerine heaved a sigh as Lemon walked out of the room in frustration. “I’m here, okay? Right here. Not movin’ at all.” he held up his hands in surrender, cornering himself. “You’re safe here, love. I promise.” he coaxed.
“Then let me go!” she bellowed, stumbling back slightly as she moved away from him.
“Yes, o’course y’can go, love, just—”
“No, no, no. Now,” she shifted the slightest bit, grabbing the lamp off of the table. “Stop playing the good cop, let me fucking go—!”
“Hey! Stop it.” he shouted, his patience giving away. She flinched, eyes widened in fear, just as he’d seen her in the warehouse.
He made her flinch.
“I— I didn’t mean t—” he sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I’m here t’help you, okay? Coulda’ left you there, all alone. But no, I brought you here. And I’ll send you back. I jus’ needa make sure nobody’s out there looking for you again. Can’t keep savin’ you again and again, can I?”
Silence graced the room for a few seconds.
She stood there, lamp still encaged within terrified fingers and eyes comtemplating (though still the slightest bit dazed), just as he stood there, waiting. Waiting for her to react, to breathe, to say something. He was getting impatient with every passing second, but dared not to move.
He wouldn’t ever have her flinching again. Especially because of him.
She lowered the lamp, slowly, pained sigh tearing through her. She felt the side of her stomach ache as she let out a breath, her insides straining. She’d sob, but everything just hurt so much that she resorted to coping with the physical pain first before she let out what was inside.
Tangerine did not know what to do. He did not know whether to go over to her or stay where he was as he watched her clutch herself in pain.
Lemon walked through the door. He did look rather frustrated, still, as he closed the door behind him, but he knew better than to say anything to her about it. “Okay there?” he asked her as she closed in on herself, wincing.
It took embarrassingly long for Tangerine to realize he should probably help.
“D’you… D’you want me to patch ‘em over?” he motioned in her general direction, hesitant. She looked apprehensive at first, almost as if she would deny. But as the pain pierced her insides, she nodded.
He walked over to scoop her into his arms like he did. But she denied, getting up with whatever little strength she had left, hands grabbing onto everything around her.
“Hey, let me help y’up,” he insisted, hand held forward.
“I can walk.” she said, bluntly, limping over with him to the other side of the room, body still bent forward in pain.
Stubborn little thing, she was.
She had showered, finally. She felt clean after a long time, though to feel so she had scraped her hands over her skin God knows how many times. Over, and over, and over again until she felt mentally and physically that their touch just wasn't there.
But it was impossible to feel so. She broke down in the shower itself, hands so harsh on herself that she even brushed over her own wounds multiple times.
Outside, Lemon and Tangerine were barely able to speak or move as they heard her cries.
It was perhaps the most agonizing cry they had heard.
When she got out—body and eyes a similar shade of red—Tangerine took her to patch her wounds over.
Her legs were dangling off the table-top, body stooped in the agony that tore through her. She felt that she could sink into the counter-top as her body felt so many sensations; her head felt lighter in a good way, completely relaxed from the shower and the break down, her body, though, in piercing agony.
Between her legs Tangerine stood, gently cleaning dried blood off her stomach with hot water. She repeatedly winced at the minor pressure it took to remove the dried blood off the skin around her wound, Tangerine’s hands shaking in an attempt to be more gentle than he’d ever been.
And beside the bloody wound sat a huge bruise—all black and blue and ugly, the sight of it enough to tell him how much it hurt.
He grimaced at the bruise. “S’it still hurtin’?”
Stupid question.
She nooded slowly, face scrunched up and hand flying to his when his finger gently brushed over it.
“Sorry, love.”
Oddly enough, he found himself wanting to speak to her. To interact with her. She didn’t respond, of course, and it was driving him crazy. Maybe it was his yearning to know what exactly he should do with her now.
In the moment, of course, keeping her with him seemed simple enough. He’d keep watch for a month, let her stay in the guest room, and let her go when the coast was clear. Not that anybody would look out for her any longer, right? Unless—
“Hey, is there somethin’ you happen to know?” he squinted his eyes at her.
“Huh?” she frowned, looking at him strangely.
Well, that was vague. He’d just posed a very vague, out-of-the blue question. What was he doing?
“I meant—” he sighed at himself, “—d’ya happen to know anythin’ about those men? Y’know, to get an idea of why those fuckers kidnapped ya?”
She shook her head. Nothing, again. Not even a proper, verbal ‘no’.
He lifted his chin in acknowledgement, going back to cleaning and patching up her wounds. His gentle fingers brushed against the skin on her stomach as he held up her—his—t-shirt for her as he bandadged the wound. He moved up to her arms, the washcloth soothingly warming her up.
Tangerine was no stranger to ugly wounds and blood—blood-shed, even. But looking at something so innocent as her littered with bruises and cuts and body stained in blood, there was a strange sense of fury in him.
Kill, hurt, and torture assholes as much as you want.
But he never understood and never will understand people who dare to lay their hands on women, especially somebody like her, without any remorse. He’d always held anger in his veins but it doubled whenever he’d see cases like this.
But ugly business, uglier sightings.
The ointment he rubbed onto her skin was one that burnt. She flinched, hands flying up to his as she hissed in pain. He continued, his other hand making his hold softer as a form of offering comfort. Her face was twisted up in pain.
“Breathe, darling. You're all done,” he smiled, barely. “Let’s get you somethin’ warm, yeah? To drink and to wear.”
He extended his hand forward to help her down, but even in her wounded state she hopped off the table, body still slightly bent in agony.
“I… I know you don’ need my help, but ‘m sure it’d be better than straining yourself, yeah?”
“I can walk.”
It was infuriating him how stubborn she was being. He really wanted to help, and there she was, pushing him away. But he understood—he knew she was more bruised mentally than physically, so he held back.
So he did the least he could do—brought her some tea, covered her up in his jumper, and led her to the room arranged for her.
“Sleep well, yeah?” he smiled.
She nodded, looking all warm and cozy sitting in his jumper, enclosed by the duvet covers. Tangerine somehow found himself feeling warm at the sight of her so comfortable, a smile creeping up his lips as he looked at her.
it'll get wayyy more fluffy, dw :)

The mockery of his laugh had always made her want to punch Griffe in the face, but now the thought wasn't even crossing her mind. The teasing tone in his voice and smugness of his grin had faded, his cocky attitude dissolving into something more genuine. Was that what his real laugh sounded like? Was that what his real smile looked like?
This takes place immediately after the end of the Paris Special so there are spoilers!
Saw the special. Had a cry over the blorbos. Bon appétit.

FIC: "Of Kwamis, Soulmates, and Idiots"
(MLB; Lukanette; LBSC Lukanette Month 2024)
@lovebugs-and-snakecharmers is doing a Lukanette Month for September 2024, and we all just kinda tossed some prompts in the disco to compile a list? We ended up with 71 prompts, so I decided I’d roll some dice to pick a prompt, do a twenty minute (ish, bc we all know sometimes they run away from me) sprint, and try to get some short fics out this month?
Sorry not sorry for the end...
Read on Ao3
Prompt 09: New Pet
“You should talk to him.”
Marinette felt her shoulders stiffen – felt her entire body tense – at the tiny voice. Irrational as it was, because she knew no one else could hear it. No one else was able to see or hear Tikki except for her – that’s just how kwamis worked.
…well.
Her, and her soulmate.
But she didn’t have a soulmate. Or…she hadn’t found them. Yet. So it was impossible that anyone else currently aboard the Liberty would have heard Tikki’s horrible suggestion.
Talk to him.
Like she could ever do something as crazy as that.
“Shut up,” she hissed under her breath, her eyes still darting up to make sure the band – to make sure he wasn’t listening. She hunched closer to her legs, bringing her face dangerously close to her sketchbook, and tapped her pencil against the page in irritation. “You know I can’t.”
“But why?” the little bug asked, zipping out from behind her pigtails to stare unabashedly at the him in question.
…Luka.
Juleka’s older brother.
Lead guitar of Kitty Section.
Super cool, super nice, super hot, super out of her league…
Tikki was frowning as she looked back and forth from Luka to Marinette’s sketchbook.
“You like him, don’t you?” she asked, tilting her little head to the side. Marinette flailed, sending her sketchbook flying, as she grabbed at the kwami. Did she have to be so loud?!
“Tikki, shut up!” she cried, her face burning as she pulled her against her chest. She looked up at the sudden silence on the deck, and she gave a nervous laugh as she waved off the concerned stares. “S-sorry, guys! You know how…annoying kwamis are!”
Tikki shouted something rude at her, she was sure, but her hand was covering the little brat’s mouth and it came out a muffled squeak. Marinette groaned as she pulled her knees back up on the crate and pressed her forehead against them. Tikki grew suddenly quiet, and Marinette looked up to find…oh. Oh no.
Luka was standing right in front of her, her discarded sketchbook in hand.
“Your kwami’s a little shit, too, huh?” he chuckled, holding the book out for her. She swallowed and glanced down at her clenched hands, but Luka wasn’t looking at Tikki.
…of course he wouldn’t be.
He couldn’t see her.
Because he wasn’t…
“More than usual lately,” she sighed, letting Tikki go as she took her book back. She offered him a shaky smile as he took a seat on the crate beside her. “Sorry. She…likes to tease me.”
“Oh, mine lives for that,” he chuckled. “I don’t think Sass considers a day complete until he’s made my life a living hell.”
She giggled as he grinned at her, and her feet slipped from the edge of the crate back to the deck as she leaned forward. His smile softened, and that…oh, he had the best smile…
“I’m sure he’s not all that bad,” she said, reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear. She looked up at him with a shy smile and prayed her face wasn’t as red as it felt. “…he’s your kwami, after all.”
“Well, by that logic…someone as sweet as you? Tikki has to be a saint,” he said. She wanted to roll her eyes, but Luka had just called her sweet, and she ended up mumbling out some nonsense that might have been a thank you or maybe a shut up you’re cute, but either way she ended up looking back at the deck as her face burned hotter. After a moment, he nudged he shoulder with his own and nodded towards the sketchbook. “Sooo…what were you working on? It must be good – you looked pretty intense.”
Her stomach clenched, remember exactly what – or who – she had been doodling, and she prayed he hadn’t actually seen the very detailed sketch of himself when he had picked the book up.
…any of the very detailed studies she’d done of him over the last few weeks, actually. Tikki, kill her now…
“N-no, it was…it was nothing,” she said quickly, shaking her head. “Just…you know. Doodles.”
“I’d love to see them sometime, if you don’t mind sharing,” he said, leaning a little closer. “Juleka says you’re crazy talented.”
“She…she said that?” she asked, looking up in surprise. She hugged her sketchbook to her chest, and his smile…there was something in his eyes, something she couldn’t quite place – something she maybe wasn’t quite ready to place yet – that made her stomach flip pleasantly. That made her want to show him the sketchbook, or anything he asked for, if only he’d keep looking at her like that. He nodded, and she looked away as she bit down on her smile. “That…that was really sweet of her.”
“She can be, sometimes,” he said. She glanced back up at him, and her breath caught when he winked at her. “If you’re not related to her.”
A giggle was startled out of her, and he chuckled as he reached over to squeeze her shoulder. He glanced at something behind her, that strange look passing over his face again, before he stood and waved.
“Th-thanks!” she called as he turned away. He looked back, and she waved her sketchbook at him. “For…bringing it back. Thank you.”
“Anytime, Ma-Ma-Marinette,” he said with a wink. She rolled her eyes at the nickname, but her face didn’t feel as hot as it had the first time he’d teased her with it. It felt…familiar, now. More comfortable.
A tiny giggle by her shoulder had her tensing all over again, and she looked down to find Tikki grinning at her.
“Well,” she said, her eyes sparkling, “at least you talked to him!”
. : .
Later, after the others had headed home for the night and Luka was left ‘cleaning up’ the deck (…which was more of an excuse to sit on the stage, staring up at the stars as he worked on that song that had been stuck in his head since blue, blue eyes and Ma-Ma-Marinettes), Sass decided he apparently hadn’t had enough that day.
…as if seeing that crazy drawing of him in her sketchbook hadn’t been enough. He had almost dropped the book all over again when he’d picked it up and realized she’d been drawing him the entire time she’d been watching their rehearsal. When he’d realized she’d been watching him maybe as much as he’d been trying not to watch her.
“You ssstill have not told her,” the little snake hissed softly, settling on the head of his guitar when his playing tapered out. Luka’s grip tightened on the neck as his eyes narrowed at his kwami. His long tail was dangling, swishing almost like a cat – and the smirk on his face was definitely too feline for something that was supposed to be a snake.
“Sass…” he said in warning, but Sass just flicked his tongue out at him. He’d say he was scenting the air, but Luka knew better. Sass lived to torment him.
“Why haven’t you told her?” he asked, tilting his head to the side. Luka rolled his eyes and jostled his guitar, just enough to dislodge the little shit.
“You know why,” he sighed, sinking back against the speaker he was using as a backrest. “She’s not ready yet, buddy.”
“How do you know if you don’t tell her?” Sass pressed. “Shhhe deserves to know, Luka. Wouldn’t you both be happier if she did?”
“…she’s not ready yet,” he insisted, shaking his head. “Her song’s still too…I don’t think she knows what she really wants yet, Sass. And when I tell her…I want her to want it. I want her to want me. Is that too much to ask?”
The kwami’s brow furrowed, as if he didn’t understand – or didn’t believe – him, and Luka sighed as he started picking the familiar notes out again. Marinette’s song. The one that had utterly bewitched him from the moment he had first heard it – that had only intensified when she’d waved goodbye that first night and he’d seen the large, violet eyes peeking out from behind her collar.
Sass heaved a longsuffering sigh as he settled on his human’s head. He flicked his tail against him as he settled in, a clear sign of his annoyance.
“I ssstill sssay you shhhould tell her,” he huffed, and Luka smiled sadly.
“I know, buddy,” he said. “I will. Soon.”
. : .
Except it wasn’t just that the kwamis’ humans were soulmates.
The kwamis needed each other, too.
They were linked, in an ancient, mysterious way no one really understood.
They could never really exist peacefully, in harmony, until they were reunited.
…and soon just wasn’t proving to be soon enough.
After another week went by – and then another two – Sass and Tikki had had just about enough.
“She’s just so shy,” Tikki huffed from their hiding place in the basketball hoop. “She’s so amazing, Sass, but she has no self-confidence! She’ll never make the first move!”
“I fear Luka won’t, either, if shhhe never does,” Sass sighed. “He feels shhhe is…not ready.”
He said it with a roll of his eyes, and Tikki pouted as she stared at the two hopeless soulmates dancing around each other below them.
“She’s more ready than he thinks,” she tutted. “You don’t have to wake up to her kissing her stupid cat pillow and sighing his name.”
Sass snickered, and Tikki tried to pout at him, but it was too easy to return his grin when he looked at her like that. He was more familiar with things like that than she knew, he was afraid.
“Perhapsss it’sss time we ssstopped leaving it up to them, then?” he suggested, tilting his head as he watched Luka bend to help Marinette pick something up – and then crash his head against hers when their hands brushed and she jerked back. “Perhapsss they need a little…pushhh?”
“…what do you have in mind?” Tikki asked, turning to him. He grinned and floated up, winking at her as he made his way below.
“I think it’sss about time I sssee thisss pillow for myssself,” he hummed. It took barely a moment – the briefest of distractions, provided by Ivan calling for Luka to get back to the stage and neither of them watching too closely – and then Sass was phasing through Marinette’s bag, settling into a pocket he was sure would go unchecked until it was too late.
From her place on the hoop, Tikki just…stared.
She…hadn’t known they could do that?
They could do that???
She had thought they were bound to their humans, that they couldn’t travel too far from them, and yet…well.
If Luka was Marinette’s soulmate, perhaps he was a little bit Tikki’s human, too?
Tikki was still hiding up on the hoop a short while later when Marinette received a call asking her to come home, and she watched anxiously as her human waved goodbye to her friends and ran off the boat.
…as Luka watched her go, a look she would call nothing short of longing on his face.
She sank back against the board and wished for a freshly-baked cookie to chew on. Oh, she had a bad feeling about this…

Hi! Could you please write Luka Couffaine x fem. reader who has trouble talking about their feelings? Writes him letters, love poems or plays the drums for him because it's easier for her to show her feelings like that? Sorry for my English it is not my first language.
02/28/2023 - 03/29/2023
Pairing: Luka Couffaine x Reader
Word Count: 867
Warnings: Nothing that I can think of!
Gender: AFAB
In which Luka has a significant other who has a hard time expressing her feelings.
Luka Couffaine absolutely adored Y/N. The girl had captured his heart, mind, and soul, and he had no trouble expressing it. However, the same could not be said the other way around.
Other people labeled Y/N as someone cold and uncaring, but only a select few knew of her true nature - she simply could not express herself in the ways others would. And Luka understood completely.
Y/N had a small group of friends (most of whom had never even met each other, but knew the existence of). She wasn't one to stick to one particular friend group after all. A good friend was a good friend. Nothing more, nothing less.
And two of her very good friends were Juleka and Rose. Originally, Y/N had only Juleka (since she went to the same school as Luka), but quickly became acquainted with Rose as well. And for that, Y/N thanked whatever lucky stars she had.
The whole process of confessing to Luka was already gut-wrenchingly terrifying, seeing as she had no idea how to go about it, whether Luka would return her affections (even though Juleka said he would), and if she was actually dateable material.
But after the confession, a lot of her worries were put to rest. Luka was the sweetest boyfriend she could have asked for, and she was extremely grateful for having met him.
Luka was someone who was fairly affectionate (not like some of the couples she's seen walking in Paris being overly lovey-dovey), but he also never shied away from letting her know what was on his mind.
If there was a particular moment where Y/N was caught up doing something and was quite focused on it (such as homework), Luka would find himself simply staring at the girl, absolutely in awe of the work of art he had the honor of calling his girlfriend. (Yes, he's tried sneaking some photos of her when she wasn't looking).
And when he was caught, Y/N would ask, "what're you staring at?"
Only to be met with, "just caught up in the ethereal masterpiece in front me."
To which Y/N would feel her face heat up and a warm sort of buzz envelope her whole being. She'd become a little flustered and brush off his oh so charming and teasing self, but looking at him once more, she realizes every time that Luka wasn't teasing at that moment. He meant every word.
So when others meet her and find out she's in a relationship with Luka, they wonder how on Earth the relationship works. Luka was pretty well known and well-liked. But Y/N wasn't like that. She stayed to herself for the most part, and she'd never initiate any sort of PDA with her boyfriend.
And some of these people would take to whispering about this behind (or so they thought) Y/N's back.
She'd feel bad about it, but not to the point where she'd find herself spiraling down a rabbit hole of self-hate and whatnot. But that didn't stop her from wanting to improve. And what better way to improve than by asking two of her best friends?
"Aww, it's so cute that you want to be more lovey-dovey with Luka!" Rose gushed. Juleka had a slight smile on her face, finding the situation slightly humorous. The involved parties were her brother and one of her closest friends. How could she not be entertained? Especially when said close friend was going on a tirade vaguely reminiscent of Marinette's tirades about Adrien.
Rose suggested making a perfume for Luka, and Y/N thought that it was such a good idea that she'd probably do that for his birthday. "What if you write him a letter?" Juleka asked. Pondering over the idea, Y/N decided that it indeed was a good idea.
But what to write?
And so some amount of days passed, and Y/N finally ended up finishing her letter to Luka. It wasn't anything elegant or pretty or anything of the sort. It was goofy, filled with her typical sarcasm, and most importantly, it was heartfelt. Now, the only thing left was to actually give the letter to Luka.
Which was still quite hard surprisingly.
Y/N assumed that once the letter was finished, she'd just hand it over to the turquoise-haired boy and bada-bing bada-boom, romance!
Apparently it doesn't work like that.
Apparently you pour your heart out into the letter, but then you feel nervous to actually give the letter to your oh so accepting boyfriend.
But somehow Y/N pushed down her anxiety and gave the letter to Luka when they sat down after getting their ice cream. Opening it, Luka's face gradually morphed into one of extreme joy (and if Y/N didn't know any better, smugness), before he pressed a chaste kiss onto Y/N's cheek.
And from that day onwards, Y/N would (every once in a while) gift Luka letters, love poems, and even play the drums for him as means of physically showing her affection for him. It was their own little dynamic and some may have found it odd, but to them, it was perfect.
Author's Note: Once again, I'm really sorry for taking so long to complete this fic. I hope you enjoy it (if not, feel free to request again, since I honestly don't feel like I did my very best with this one).
I'm still in the middle of trying to find a specific fic format to stick to. I've tried looking at a bunch of other fanfic writers' profiles and the format they use to write their fics, but I'm still not 100% sure if what I'm doing right now is what I want to continue doing.

"we like each other" - lukadrien oneshot
(this is a lot longer than i meant for it to be but i hope you enjoy)
Adrien! Wait!" Luka had no idea how he got into this situation. One minute, he was talking with his sister on their houseboat and the next he was chasing his friend down the streets of Paris.
Adrien seemed to pick up speed with every few seconds that passed. Oh, how Luka wished he participated in a sport of some kind.
"Please, Adrien! Stop! Please!" Luka yelled in his friend's direction. He tried his hardest to catch up but eventually became too winded to continue. Adrien turned a corner and disappeared behind a random store. Luka slowed to a stop and tried to catch his breath.
What was going on? Why was Adrien running away? Luka tried to think back to the conversation he had with Juleka, in case Adrien heard something that sent him on his way. Nothing came to mind.
He pulled out his phone and shot a few texts to Adrien, telling him that he was sorry for whatever Adrien heard and that he hoped he would tell him what he and Juleka did wrong.
He retraced his steps back to his boat. Once he got on deck, he ignored his mom calling out to him for dinner prep and made his way to his room. He plopped down on his bed and tried to find an answer, which posed to be very hard without knowing Adrien's thoughts.
Luka snatched up his guitar and attempted to strum his way through the problem. He didn't know why it bothered him so much. Obviously, Adrien didn't want anyone to know what was bothering him but Luka couldn't help but think that it was all his fault.
Ten minutes later, a tap on his window caused Luka to jump slightly. He snapped his head towards the sound to see Cat Noir peering in.
"You gonna let me in, guitar boy?" The cat-themed hero joked. Luka stood and opened the window, still confused as to what was going on. Cat Noir leaped through the small circle gracefully and landed on the bedroom floor in a cat-like pose.
"What are you doing here, Cat Noir?" Luka's voice was low and barely above a whisper. Cat Noir stood up and shrugged.
"I don't really know. I heard you were the one to go to when stricken with turmoil."
"I guess I am," Luka chuckled. He could've sworn he'd seen a slight blush form on the hero's face, but he decided to chalk it up to the odd lighting in his room. "What seems to be the problem, Cat Noir?"
"Well," Cat Noir started, "I heard...Ladybug and...Rena Rouge, yeah, that's right, talking about me, possibly maybe, and I'm just feeling insecure."
Luka raised his eyebrow at the story. It didn't sound like Cat Noir was saying something that really happened. He noticed the way he seemed to search for his words even more than a normal person stumbling over their words would.
He let it go, "And what did they say?"
"I don't really know, they didn't say my name at all, but I just felt like their words were towards me."
"And how did you hear these words?" Luka furrowed his eyebrows in deep thought.
"I, um, you're not gonna judge me, right?" The hero's voice sounded so small, and Luka wanted to reach out and physically comfort him but felt that might be too much.
"Of course not."
"I was eavesdropping," Cat Noir seemed to move farther and farther from Luka, hunching his shoulders to hide.
"Maybe they knew you were listening and tried to pull a prank on you."
"Well, that's just mean! I mean, it would explain why you-" the hero stopped himself and frantically moved his eyes around. "I mean they-"
Luka tried not to laugh, "Adrien, I know it's you. You can detransform now."
"What! No! I'm not that pretty model boy, I'm just an average guy who really has to go," Cat Noir tried to scurry past Luka but he blocked the window.
"Adrien, it's okay, no one has to know that I know. But please I need to talk to you," Luka reached out to grab Cat Noir's, who he was sure was Adrien, hands. "Ladybug and Rena Rouge are supposed to be me and Jul right?"
Cat Noir avoided Luka's eyes, "Claws in," a nearly blinding neon green light filled Luka's room. Luka blinked away the spots in his eyes and saw the friend he had just chased a half hour ago.
"Adrien...talk to me."
"Can we- can we sit?" Luka nodded and moved his guitar off his bed. He patted the sheet covered mattress and sat down. Adrien sat and began to fiddle with the ends of a blanket Luka had.
"Tell me what's going on, Adrien."
"I heard you and Juleka talking earlier," Adrien tried to not let his emotions show but failed almost miserably.
Luka knew it was about that! He kept his thoughts to himself, as it didn't seem like the time. He was also confused. They never mentioned Adrien by name, they didn't even allude to him. How could he have taken it so personally?
"But-"
Adrien cut Luka off, "Wait, let me finish, or I'll never be able to say it."
Luka pressed his lips in a line and urged Adrien to continue.
"Yesterday, I asked Juleka to ask you if you liked anybody. She told me she would try her best and to come over today to hang out so she could talk with me. I got here a little too early and...heard you say no."
"What?" Luka was confused.
"I was so heartbroken that I dropped the food I had brought for us all to share."
Luka remembered hearing something fall outside but was too focused on the jean covered legs running away.
"I ran away so you wouldn't see me, but somehow you caught up with me. I kept running because...I couldn't look you in the eye," Luka could hear Adrien's voice get weak with his held-back tears. "It sounds so stupid when I say it out loud."
Luka grabbed Adrien's free hand and searched for his eyes, "Adrien, it's not stupid. I'm sorry you had to hear that," Luka inhaled deeply and reached up to caress Adrien's cheek, "especially because it wasn't true."
Adrien's eyes widened, "I don't understand."
"Adrien, please forgive me, I didn't tell Juleka the truth. I do have a crush on someone," Luka wiped away a stray tear that fell from Adrien's eye.
"Luka...what are you saying right now?" Adrien's eyes seemed to bore into Luka's. Luka wasn't even sure if he had seen Adrien blink since reciting his side of the story.
“I like you, Adrien. I really like you. I'm so sorry that you thought I didn't," Luka's hold on Adrien's cheek never let up. Adrien even reached up to keep Luka's hand in place.
"Really? You like...me? Why?"
"Why wouldn't I?" Luka slightly frowned.
"I don't know. I mean, we've never really spent that much time together. I assumed you only thought of me as an acquaintance at best." Adrien broke eye contact, he couldn't bring himself to look at Luka anymore.
"Adrien, none of that stopped you from liking me," Luka stated, "so why would it stop me from liking you?"
Adrien kept his eyes down.
"Hm? Can you answer that?"
"No, no, I can't," Adrien's voice went back to being small and it broke Luka's heart. Luka guided Adrien's head up so he could look back into his eyes.
"We like each other, Adrien, and neither of us can fully explain it. That's perfectly okay."
Adrien's voice was full again, "We like each other."
Luka tried not to let out a chuckle, "Yes, that's what I just said."
"No, I mean, I didn't have to be scared. You like me as much I like you. Well, I probably like you a little more, I feel my feelings very aggressively," Adrien started to ramble. Luka had to admit, it was cute.
"I can see that," Luka finally let out a small laugh.
"I'm sorry about the whole running away thing. I didn't even know I could run that fast without my miraculous-"
Adrien's eyes widened and Luka waited to hear what he would say.
"You know about my miraculous!" Adrien whisper-yelled, he got off of the bed and started to pace around Luka's room.
"What miraculous?" Luka attempted to say coolly but Adrien missed the joke entirely.
"Ya know, the one that transforms me into a cat man! The one that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about! The one that gives me super fast reflexes! The one that gives me stupid cat ears- oh." Luka half smiled as Adrien finally got it.
"I meant what I said earlier, no one has to know that I, Luka Couffaine, know the identity of the Parisian hero, Cat Noir." Luka put on a dramatic voice for the last bit, much to Adrien's unamusement.
"You're not funny."
"Sure I am, but I'm also one hundred percent serious. I'm not gonna tell anyone, I promise. Can you sit down now?" Luka extended his hand out to Adrien, who sighed and took hold of it.
Luka pulled Adrien towards him, causing Adrien to yelp. He was pulled onto a laughing and leaned back Luka.
"Ow," Adrien jokingly said.
Luka slightly scoffed, "That didn't hurt and you know it."
"No, it didn't. I'm just dramatic."
"Yeah, I know, it's very noticeable."
"You're very blunt at times, ya know that, right?" Adrien shimmied into a more comfortable position, his back against the wall and his legs on top of Luka's.
"And yet, you like me, so who's really the problem here?"
"Both of us," they both laughed and any awkward or scared tension there was before seemed to quickly dissipate.
"Ya know, the cat ears aren't that stupid. I actually kinda li-" Luka was interrupted by a hand covering his mouth.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence," Adrien tried to say sternly, but Luka knew he was all bark no bite, in the most adorable way possible.
So he licked Adrien's hand, who dramatically screamed and wiped off his hand on Luka's shoulder. Luka erupted in melodic laughter, which in a way, made Adrien feel like everything was gonna be all right.

Savate Syndicate AU Chloe!
Sometime after her banishment Chloe would fall in with the Savate Syndicate a New York gang of martial art using criminals who saw potential in her skills and her a means of escaping her abusive circumstances as she donned the new name Cleo.
Her hair prematurely began to grey due to stress related to her parents, it actually stopped doing so after joining a gang. Apparently deadly fights to the death are less traumatic than her family.
Note, she should be older here, 18 at least, but I only had so long to spend on the model so I mostly sharpened up the face somewhat and couldn't expand the arms as I wanted too for shape key reasons.
I wrote a snippet covering these elements and shared it with @princess-of-the-corner but it can now be seen here!
This song also fits.
Chloe's life... Had not gone the way she planned.
Then again, she'd never had much of a plan, not really. She let other people plan for her, trusted them, believed in them.
Letting the likes of Lila and Hawk Moth lead her along with their machinations and grand promises. Trusting Andre decide what was "Worth" learning, like reading, or trusting that once she met her mother's standards things would just work out. Or believing Ladybug thought she could be something good and worthwhile.
Queen Bee was the closest she'd come to a real plan, be a hero.
As Chloe wiped another person's blood off her knuckles and glanced around the human ruin she had made of the man's & his guards she chuckled.
'I'm about as far from hero as one can be.'
"Having fun, Cleo?" A pleased, authoritative voice intoned.
Turning, Chloe saluted the head of the Savate Syndicate, "I think its important to enjoy what you do, sir."
That drew a genuinely amused chuckle from the man as he clapped her on the shoulder and intoned. "Good work here, just what I have come to expect from you."
& there it was, just a simple thing really, they didn't linger or laude her further, she'd just been given a job, done it well and was praised.
It wasn't much, but it also was something clear and real and easy to understand. Just like the money she got which was as good as the other enforcers at her rank.
It was just meeting a sets standard and getting a set standard reward, but it was, if not something that made her happy. At least something Cleo understood and could be satisfied with.
"Package secured," Intoned their leader, "& I imagine whoever replaces these imbeciles will know to deal with us more respectfully next time. For now, kick up some dust."
Like a switch being flicked, the room was for a single moment flooded with subtle sound and motion as the Savate Syndicate shot through windows, vents and doors. Blurring onto roof tops and streets, scattering through New York. If all went as usual, they'd reconvene at headquarters, be paid for a night work and... Well that was it.
Just another day in the rest of her life as a Savate Syndicate enforcer.
Chloe still didn't know how to feel about that.
Cleo was at least satisfied.

pairing: adrien agreste / chat noir x gn!reader
summary: your secret make out session with your superhero boyfriend gets cut short due to an akuma attack...
tags: secret relationship, secret make out session, clingy!reader, wholesome fluff, bits of angst (chat having to leave too soon)
“please don't stop… don't go yet!”
you were clinging onto your boyfriend, who had just pulled away from your lips after a few minutes of making out. the only few minutes of the day you even got to be with him!
“i have to. you know that…”
it pained chat to leave you already. he just got to see you again, when time was already up again. you both knew it would be like this. secretly dating a superhero wouldn't be easy. but every time you had to say goodbye hurt.
“just one more minute…”
you tried to bargain with chat, but he had to keep strong. he wanted to spend all the time in the world with you, but he knew he had to go again.
“i promise you, i'll make it up to you!”
he pressed a quick kiss onto your lips, before hopping out of the alley you two were hiding in, leaving you wondering when you got to see him again…

@princess-of-the-corner
Thinking of Aware Lila being part of the group and how that probably pisses Marinette off and had this discussion in mind.
Marinette was practically pulling out her pig tails as Kagami watched on with a fond sort of bemusement at the girls expressive antics.
"I just don't get why she has to keep lying, its so frustrating listening to her just spew nonsense after nonsense like its nothing."
Kagami tilted her head, just a little, "It is quite obviously vexing you, and for that I am sorry."
Marinette waved her off, "You're not the one whose pants should be on fire. Though... I mean why do you hang out with her? Chloe & Adrien I kind of get, your parents are all vaguely aligned and you're in the same circles. Lila's not actually rich or famous-" Marinette gasped, "Has she tricked your parents!?"
Kagami actually let out a huff of amusement, despite its quiet nature, it ran through her whole body.
"That would be amusing to see, my mother hanging on Lila's every word, but no. That woman has no time for even sly boasting and the others parents are little different."
She held up her hand when Marinette looked ready to speak and added, "Lila's mother is genuinely a diplomat, and while not in our parents sphere of wealth she is connected enough that it behooves all of us to at least be polite."
Marinette sighed and flopped back down on the bed at Kagami's side.
"I suppose, though you'd think being able to attend events like you do and having a respected diplomat for a mother would be enough. Like its not even as if she's stupid or has no talents so she has to make things up to brag about even. What's the point? I just... I don't get why someone would lie when they don't have to."
Kagami stilled, and Marinette watched as her friends manner shifted, no longer angling towards her but instead stiff as she stared into space. Experience said to let Kagami think and after a minute of growing anxiety in the silence, Kagami spoke, her voice like tempered glass, strong but made of fragile things.
"I don't think you can understand, Marinette... Or perhaps it is not something I have the words to explain. Maybe if you experienced it... But I would never wish that on you, never."
She finally turned to Marinette, gaze intense, even as her eyes focused somewhere other than Marinette's own.
"It is love, it always comes back to love, or more, the absence of it and the quest to find it, to claim it. To let it fill that gaping chasm inside yourself that exists only because of something integrals absence."
Marinette took one of Kagami's hands and squeezed and saw the fencers breathing steady as she pressed on.
"You can't imagine what its like to never know it but always feel like its just out of reach. The depths someone might sink, the lengths they would go to finally have it."
"You might convince yourself if you just twist yourself a little more for them, tear another piece of yourself away, break yourself or someone else, that it will finally be granted to you. That you can let it sink deep into your bones and sinew and finally, oh finally, you can be happy without hurting."
Marinette shuffled closer, pressing herself at Kagami's side.
"If you can't do that, can't trick yourself into going down that path on a fruitless quest you do the next best thing. You lie. You lie to yourself, or to others. Because even false happiness is better than real despair. Or at least, that's what you tell yourself, even as you starve and wither on the inside..."
Kagami's entire body shuddered, it was somehow both the most powerful sensation Marinette had ever felt and the most subtle she'd ever seen. A reminder that even in her moments of deepest hurt Kagami could not show even a hint of weakness.
Her eyes were stinging now, and Marinette let out a sob.
Kagami's entirely frame pivoted to her, something like terror in her eyes. "Marinette, I- I don't now what I did, b-" She let out a surprised breath as Marinette practically flung herself into the taller girls embrace, pressing Kagami down on the mattress of her bed.
"You didn't make me cry... I'm crying... Because you can't, and you deserve to!" The other girl's powerful arms embraced her so tightly it was like she wanted them to stay locked together forever.
She buried her face in Kagami's neck and whispered, "You are loved, I love you Kagami."
Kagami couldn't speak, so she just held tighter, letting Marinette etch herself ever deeper inside her soul and sinew. She'd do anything for this moment to last.

Thank you so much for responding! Would you be okay with writing a male reader x Marc?
Perhaps male reader could be a punk and sings in a band, and he ofc drags Marc to his shows. (If you don’t know what punk shows are like feel free to message me)
Thank you so so much!
First id like to apologise if its not that well written (😭🙏) and also slow updates, had tests all week and finally had a couple days off to write this request. Also my first time writing a male × character and it was fun trying :D🫶 Enjoyy!
~~~
Words: 430 ish
Marc Anciel { Ecstatic Punk }
"Come on, it's this evening." He said with a smile on his lips, crossed arms. Being the main singer has its perks to say the least. Leaning forwards with a tiny head tilt, having burst Marc's personal bubble.
"Please?" A boyish grin appering. "Really? (Name)." The boy with black ravon hair only raised a brow, tightening the hold of his precius notepad. "Crowds and loud places aren't exactly for... me" shaking his head in disagrement.
"Maybe so, but just one song." He suggested with a thinking face, almost as if a bulb light up above his head. "How about that?" He leaned back, resting a hand on his hip wishing for a positive answer from the rather anxious boy
Rolling his eyes, raising a hand in defence. "One song.. but that's it." Finally giving in to his boyfriend constant begging to joining, even if it wasn't anything in his peticulare taste. But rather would want to please his boyfriend and agreeing.
The boy gleemed with utter joy, patting his boyfriends shoulder with a peck on his cheek. "Great, I look forwards to seeing you in the crowd cheering for me." Saying with pure excitment as he heading off, just missing Marc's soft red cheeks.
~~~
There he stood, microphone in hand, hair a mess. Eyeshadow mushed from having sung song and danced around stage for about Maybe 40 minutes? Lost count a while ago yet no sight of his writer boyfriend. Feeling his heart sinking to the bottom of his stomach, motivation following suit along.
Swinging around the cord attached to the microphone, finally seeing a ravon blocked haired boy nudging through the crowd to close to the front. The smile on his face only grew as they're eyes meet, singing with his focus only on the one he truly wished to see.
Emerald green eyes that shine with admiration and adorning of seeing his partner, frozen as a statue as he mentally filmed this moment. Wondering why he hadn't agreed to earlier on, having forgotten everyone else.
Pushing through with a raspy voice, occasunally growling alongside small voice cracking but it only added to the touch, if he was honest.
"Come everyone, bring up the volume!" He shouted into the microphone pointing to the audience, falling to his knees and leaning back with a roar of a singing voice. Sweat trickeling down his neck and forehead.
Pushing up to make eye contact with Marc, sending a wink his direction as his smiled stayed visible the whole time. Being in his own teratori fully. Only leaving him with a bashfull expression, both hearts punding to the speed of the melody unknowingly in sync. Both beating for the other.
