After a VERY long hiatus in this series... Tiana and Time!! I wanted to do something sweet and nostalgic feeling for this one, and i had the idea to do some southerners cooking together!! I imagine that Time wanted to make a sweet surprise for Malon, and Tiana was more than happy to help out, since food is Naveen's love language too! I did a fun, 1920's style, almost flapper outfit design, since i couldn't find a specific dress of hers that i thought was fitting for the scene lol 😂

i think tiana and time would be wonderful friends! also, malon and time and tiana and naveen could go on double dates and talk about their silly spouses and also their crazy life stories!! malon and tiana would make the best food too!

on a more serious note, time and tiana do have a lot of similarities; they both value hard work and the importance of family, as well as both having traumatic transformation experiences (cough cough Majora's Mask). Time had his own Bayou Adventure a la the Jungle Cruise in Majora's Mask. both have had odd experiences with strange voodoo like magic, and both had to learn the value of finding love despite their difficult upbringings. overall, i love that you guys picked this pairing!! 🩵

oh, by the way... i headcanon that Malon has a sweet tooth because 1) it just fits her personality, and 2) i imagine that she probably snuck some sugar cubes for epona and herself when she was a little girl (based off of my own personal experience with horses when i was little 😂🤭)

Oracle of ages is my fav for this one single reason

It is the fact that the enemies are throwing time attacks at you every four attacks (the bosses that is) you deflect them back to reveal their weak spots but the cutest thing happens if you get hit

My lil guy… getting hunted down by a boss in the arena while a literal baby who can just weakly crawl away from stuff and looks like it is about to start crying

Like that has to be traumatizing for a baby to experience

So Fanfic prompt : considering that linked universe once again has time travel in it imagine what would happen if legend goes baby mode

Like not even because of dink but because wind messed around with the phantom sword and while the rest of the chain stopped in time legend being incredibly vulnerable to time displacements ends up a baby again

And even funnier if wind and legend are separated from the chain during the event and wind gets to be busy regretting everything that led to his teen parent life with a ungodly fast baby that crawls like it was born to do just that (because it would be so much more horrifying if Legend actually turned into a baby during the time blasts… because that way the trauma will be integrated into him from existence on lol)

the baby has an amount of survival instincts that no baby should reasonably have

No baby should have such a feud with adults and knights especially ( wars got bitten by a tooth less baby legend when they reunited… that baby hates him)

He dodges way to well for a mere infant (you gotta be a god because you are exclusively baby link in active combat)

He is incredibly quite and very much wants to hide all the time

He is terrified of being picked up by anyone (that was not fun for wind )

He screams with actual terror when he actually decides to voice any kind of opinions (that wasn’t fun for wind either but at least later the chain got to suffer and go deaf alongside him )

(not the baby crying of mild inconvenience but the one where they actually sound like they are hurting ,the intense one that makes one panic)

He is a minimalist to the core , literally needs nothing to be content with existing (he got strapped to wars via scarf panicked until he realized that everything isn’t ending still… then didn’t give a sound for several hours,….wars was obviously worried…that ain’t baby behavior)

Like only be given a bottle and he never complains about anything afterwards until he is in literal danger of starving or in pain(that one is messed up but meant that wind didn’t have to panic like crazy )

But that really makes one wonder if he wasn’t exaggerating when he said he had been a hero since he was in diapers

I’ve read some awesome fics where Time feels guilty about how his time travel “left behind” all these apocalyptic worlds—particular Wind’s—and fearing that every time he rewound Termina he left a dying branch… but actually. Wind’s apocalypse wasn’t caused by Time’s time travel.

It was caused by Zelda (Lullaby) sending Time back with no way to return.

They didn’t know at the time that Ganondorf would come back, so she returns him to stop the destruction, thinking the timeline just won’t exist… but it doesn’t (probably because a Sage of Timr still exists in it). And when Ganondorf returns (and honestly, was it even within their natural lives? Was it hundreds of years after?) the Hero had no way to know, much less come back.

The only alternate timeline Time actually caused by his actions was the Downfall. And it wasn’t like he had a choice in that.

Twilight: *coming back from patrolling* seeing the camp in an uproar and takes a seat be time and whispering* why are they going crazy?

Time: *whispers back* I told them I went to an antique store.

Twilight: *puzzled*

Time: and wasn’t allowed to leave *twinkle in his eye and smirk on his face*

Okay, still onto Four and Legend, before I move onto more complicated stuff that starts involving other incarnations of the hero spirit, I want to bring attention to the fact that the magic canes Four and Legend own are the same shape in different colours and that might be because they got made by the same artificer,just saying, here's the canes (left to right: Pacci, Somaria, Byrna)

Now I want to talk about a very particular set of items these two share, the bombos and quake medallions. In Four Swords Four finds a bunch of these medallions that he just uses how he pleases (that boy has to be so magically charged it's insane), it's in the manual for that game that we get the explanation that these medallions are created by wizard who trap spells into this items so they can be used freely by people with magic abilities, I can see the issue with this, and I can understand these medallions getting eliminated and only one of each being left dormant in places in case of extreme need, and that's why they're codified in ancient Hylian, before I lose you here because you guys might think I need to go take a nap and stop getting deeper into the Zelda lore, I need you to know that in Alttp you need the book of Mudora (a dictionary of ancient hylian) in order to unlock entrance to the Desert palace and the use of two medallions, so this idea isn't all that far fetched.

Furthermore, this is not the only case of a magic book being needed to unlock magic in an item, in fact, Hyrule uses the Book of Magic to unlock the full potential of the Magic Rod, which might make you think that maybe Legend or Ravio (since he's knowledgeable about magic) figured out how to unlock the full potential if the rod and wrote it down in a book, but what if I told you it might hav been Irene the Witch apprentice who unlocked this with the help of a book that has been passed down from Witch to apprentice for generations since Four Swords Adventure, a book that got lost in the dark world and Four found and returned to a Witch apprentice called Iris, a book knows as the Magic Book. In a surprising turn of events this chain of magic once again connects Four to Legend and Hyrule. But in case you're thinking in crazy, here's the book of magic and the magic book side by side:

They're the same colour and everything (and we're not winning against the Four is LOZ Jesus debate here with the cross but that's for another side of the fandom to discuss)

Still, that's not where things end, remember the Book of Mudora, this book is key for unlocking the Ether medallion, the only medallion Four doesn't use, but why, well I might have the world's most convoluted answer to this, he's not a wielder of the Master Sword. Stay with me here, this book is actually found in Ocarina of Time (3DS) at Impa and Dampé's houses in Kakariko, knowing the Sheika are part of the royal family and that Dampé must be familiar with older Hyrulean thanks to his job we can deduce they're trying to decipher this book, which makes me think that this ancient Hylian goes further back to maybe Four's era. Don't lose your attention now, if you're not familiar with how the ether medallion is activated, the text in ancient hyrulean requires Legend to raise his sword (the master sword) up to the sky where a bolt of lighting goes straight to his sword, that should be ringing some bells, because that's exactly the technique Sky uses to beat Demise. It is likely some wizard figured out how to recreate this skill but realised he couldn't use it without the sword and just sealed it away, explaining why it's not available to four and why the text in the pedestal that keeps it is in ancient hyrulean. It is likely this wizard added a similar enough spell to his repertoire in the magic book that then Hyrule cracked, the thunder spell.

Now that that's over and we've linked Sky to Legend and Hyrule via Ether medallion, sky to Time and Legend via Book of Mudora, Hyrule and Four via Book of Magic and Four and Legend via Bombos and Quake medallions in going to draw a connection between Four, Time, Legend and Hyrule using the iconic blue ocarina.

Okay, timeline wise the first blue ocarina we see is Four's, he gets it as a gift from the Sky tribe who made it and uses it to travel using one of the tiny loftwing looking birds (Zeffa), the next one to use such and ocarina is Time, this time it is given to him by Zelda and it's dubbed as the Ocarina of Time and has tons of magic properties, his next and last appearance is in Alttp where legend finds it in the Haunted Grove buried and it serves the same purpose as Four's ocarina only it's a duck this time and it's known as "flute". Okay, so, we're all thinking the same at this point, this is the exact same ocarina passed through timelines, Four's the original owner, when he dies Dot keeps it, it becomes a heirloom of the royal family, over time they unlock the full potential of this instrument so by the time it gets to Time's hands it's magic abilities have increased, now, we know in Legend's timeline Time dies fighting Ganon and we find the ocarina buried close to a tree stump in a place called haunted grove, by that point we can assume someone bothered to bury what was known as a royal heirloom in the place were the Deku Tree used to be or, to make it even more morbid, someone bothered to bury the hero there and over the years only bones and the ocarina remained, maybe people couldn't be bothered to care about a mere instrument when he had much better items to profit from. Anyways, by the time Legend finds it it's lost all of the extra abilities and remains the object of transport it once was, only there's no more tiny loftwings to answer its call.

And now you might be wondering how Hyrule is involved in this, well, Hyrule has a recorder in LOZ1, which allows for transport to the entrance of a temple, and obviously it looks nothing like an Ocarina but the tune Hyrule plays is the exact same tune Four uses, how it passed down to Hyrule's time I couldn't really tell you but it's there.

And last but not least I wanted to talk about mirrors, in alttp you get a magic mirror that allows you to exit the dark world and that is given to Legend by an old man after helping him, in Four swords adventure there's a Dark mirror that was hidden in the temple of darkness and was used to seal a dark tribe, does that sound familiar? It's because we all know another Mirror used to seal away a whole tribe, the Twilight Mirror. Now, these mirrors are obviously not the same, the magic and dark mirror are relatively similar but not enough to be the same, plus the Dark mirror gets destroyed, but someone made that mirror, someone knew how to craft a way into a realm that technically exists outside of time, an item with ties to the dark world and shadow magic, someone found a way to reverse the mirror, to create a mirror that instead of trapping people inside a dark realm helped them get out of it, those two mirrors are more similar than one could think, and that knowledge made it to Twilight's era and was used to make the Twilight mirror. There's actually potential for the possibility of recreating and replicating this mirrors if only they found where that knowledge is kept, the key might as well be found in Legend's or Twilight's eras but sadly not in Four's. It is likely they can also sense each other due to residuals from these items, from having travelled through it and from keeping a shard of it (in Four's case, that's one of my favourite headcanons). Here's the Magic and dark mirror btw since we all know how the twilight mirror looks

Basically, Four is connected to absolutely every hero, stop being cowards and treat him like he deserves, he's the second hero with the hero spirit in the timeline, put some respect on him!

Also, there's a lot of potential here now for more Legend and Four angst involving the Palace of the Four sword if we take into account how tied their timelines are.
