Finally getting around to sharing this and I am SO EXCITED
I commissioned @barelyaware to do this drawing based on this photo of Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris and I couldn't be happier. The beautiful clothing designs, all the little details of their accessories (matching earrings, betrothal necklace, Sokka's hair beads), their EXPRESSIONS! I love the way Suki's eyes are just glowing, and that exuberant smile on Sokka's face. And of course the utterly precious baby bump and how fabulous and adorable Suki looks in that dress. The whole thing is just so, so sweet and puts a huge smile on my face every time I look at it. They both look so proud and happy. 😭
Thank you so much Berry for this lovely work of art! It was so great working with you. ❤️

To clarify, when I said Jensen is not a producer, I didn't mean he didn't hold the title or the job. He was given the title and the job, sure. But he has absolutely zero idea how to do it and (going by what I've seen) very little interest, humility, curiosity, or care to actually learn. Never mind the backstabbing part, keeping the idea from Jared was INSANELY stupid from a business perspective. Jared would've helped because he's incredibly generous. Of the two, it's Jared who is the producer. I remember at 2015 Comic Con when Jared was asked if he'd like to direct besides acting he said no, if he was going to do sth else it would be producing. All the way back in 2015 and he already knew what he could do. He's smart & self-aware enough to know his strengths and put effort into cultivating them. Jensen is a passable director who is better than passable when the camera is on Jared, maybe due to what seems like his own weird proprietary-ish obsessive love-hate, admiration-jealousy mess when it comes to Jared. He really should stick to acting & directing. He can make money and minions out of those. Friends, however? Not so much, but he doesn't seem interested in the ONE real friendship we've watched him benefit from over the years, so I'm guessing he's not worried abt friends. He's happy to play up for hellers then sulk when they fall for what is clearly an act, and he's never spoken up abt the hate Jared gets from vocal fans of Jensen. And how many vocal Jared haters has Jensen employed so far? Even creativity isn't his forte: Unlike Jared, Jensen never reads scripts in advance despite complaining (read: throwing ppl under the bus) later and for YEARS abt SPN plots & dialogue. He needs to shut up, stop thinking, accept directing and acting jobs that pay, and bask in the gross horny lies, er, "flattery" from his loon fans. As for Jared, I hope his sympathy, generosity, and kindness don't mean he ends up giving Jensen work on Walker or any other project Jared helms, and I hope Jared never feels he owes it to Jensen to help out by appearing on any fiasco Jensen decides to make. I'm so grateful Jared was never on The Boys or TW. He has ample sense not to, but we've seen how his kindness makes him continue to support Stands to help out. Jared's caption on the latest Instagram post was poignant. Slide through life with people who love you. Not "with good buddies" or "good friends" or even any indication to the bond he and Anson have after surviving that horrible crash. No. He chose to say "people who love you". It's sad that he now knows that there are others who don't and were only ever using him. Remember the cryptic Instagram post a few years ago on his birthday, when he said (paraphrasing here) that it was awful and some people were working against him? I thought it about someone behind the scenes. Now I think it must've been about Jensen. He wouldn't have sounded so hurt if it had been anyone else. Imagine rooming with your costar, discovering you have so much in common, building a beautiful cult show together, starting families and doting on each other's kids, all of it for FIFTEEN years, only to discover the dude you had to create boundaries with wasn't simply too controlling or obsessive because you were his most precious best friend, oh no. It was because he never had any friendship or love for you in the first place. God. I'm so glad he has his family and Gen and his kids and people like Anson. Thank you for allowing me to send you all this. You're a wonderful blogger with a good head on your shoulders and a heart in the right place. I respect you a lot because you keep your criticism where it counts. You don't make fun of people's looks (ppl we hate, like Dmitri, Danneel, etc), for instance. I love your blog. Have a good day or evening, laf-outloud.
Thanks for clarifying the producer part! I totally agree. Obviously, there were issues from even before the announcement, but the fact that Jensen admitted to sitting in his car while everything supposedly ran smoothly on set (and later finding out they had to do a bunch of reshoots), told me all I needed to know about his producing 'skills' early on. And if Jensen decides to continue directing, I hope he takes advantage of some of the directing programs studios offer so he can improve his skills.
I'm truly grateful that Jared's been able to experience a much healthier and loving environment around his family, his true friends, and his coworkers. Every time I see photos of him, he just looks healthier and happier than he seemed to be on the SPN set.
Thank you for sharing everything else, I really have nothing to add because you've said it so much better than I ever could, and especially, thank you for your very kind words! I may get salty sometimes, and don't always get things right, but I do try and stay fair, and I'm glad that you, and hopefully others, see that. Sending love back to you and best wishes for a wonderful weekend!

passing grey clouds ~ jensen ackles
my masterlist | my imagines masterlist
pairing: jensen ackles x female reader
summary: at an 'end of college' party, his negative thoughts regarding their age gap come back and cloud over his head – leaving it to her to chase these clouds away once and for all.
words: 3.26K
warnings: age gap (he's 43, she's in her early 20s), + cheesiness and mostly fluffiness at its finest, not proof read, i'm not a native english speaker
a/n: okay so i usually don't like writing with men who got a wife and a lovely family – and honestly i'm such a fan of the ackles family, everyone included. i love danneel, their kids are so adorable and they are this absolutely perfect family in my eyes. but i just had to write this after the thought occured one fine evening. i mean no disrespect to any of the ackles though.
It all begins when they both finish their drinks and he offers to get the two of them another fill. She leans back against the wall she's been standing next to and watches her boyfriend right until he disappears in the crowd of college students.
Then her eyes move around the room, catching sight of a couple people – mainly girls – looking at Jensen move across the room just like she's done. (y/n) tilts her head, trying to read their expressions – are they checking him out, thinking about how attractive he is, are they staring because it's Jensen freaking Ackles, or are they judging them, well, more precisely her for dating someone this much older? Someone who's also super famous?
It's not like she truly cares, whichever is the answer. If they're drooling over him because of either his looks or his fame, she out of all people can perfectly understand. God, she's been doing that every time she saw him ever since they first met. She doesn't blame anyone for doing the same. It's often still too hard to comprehend what a man like him is doing with someone like her.
And if they're indeed judgemental, it's their problem, not hers. She knows exactly what she feels, she knows what the man truly means to her, even if others can't understand it – she knows that she's not only with him for his popularity and money. And what's most important, he doesn't think that either – he knows exactly what is between them, and that's more than enough.
In the past year – since they've gone public about their relationship – (y/n)'s gotten used to all of this. Hell, they've been to award shows and premieres together, and on a couple dates in public places. Even if they try to keep it on the low and share as little of their life as they can, it's inevitable to get articles, comments written about them.
Luckily he has this talent of making her worries disappear, seemingly with nothing but a flick of his wrist, like some kind of a magic trick.
(y/n)'s been trying to convince him that she doesn't mind missing this party, that she'd much rather spend the evening with him, back at his or her place doing literally nothing, than at this party, without him. But he was unpersuadable – he told her that she deserves a night out, to have fun and be amongst the people who's graduated now just like she has. After the crazy amount of studying and all the exams she's finally free, and she has to celebrate it properly.
She eventually agreed, under one condition – he's coming with her. It's not like she's going to enjoy it fully if he's not there. And why would she spend the precious time she could be spending with him, without him? Jensen reluctantly conceded and so now they're here at said party.
He looks breathtaking and by far she couldn't keep her hands off him, clinging into him no matter how hard he first tried to object, saying that she should go spend time with her friends instead. Though it's not like he's not enjoying the attention she gives him – he's been almost as clingy as her ever since he's given in to her.
"Hey, (y/n)!" a voice wakes her from her thoughts as she's still staring off in the distance, at the place she's last seen Jensen before the crowd swallowed him on his way to the bar.
She blinks, shaking her head to get back to reality as she moves her glance to the guy standing next to her. At first she doesn't recognise him, and she frowns, searching her mind of any memory of him. Then he raises his hand and runs his fingers through his hair, and the movement just seems so familiar, as if she's seen it multiple times already.
"Oh, Matt, hi!" (y/n) giggles when her mind catches up. "At first I didn't recognise you without your glasses."
He lets out a laugh, and she ponders over how interesting is the outstanding difference only a pair of glasses can mean. Then her thoughts wander to how Jensen would look wearing them, searching up photos in her mind of the rare occasion he's worn one. She has to bite back a chuckle when one in particular comes up in front of her inner eyes, and instead she makes herself focus on the boy standing next to her, who's just asking her how she's feeling.
Jensen leans back against the counter as he's waiting for the bartender to get their drinks and let's his eyes take in the scene. As the crowd moves like waves of the ocean, he catches sight of his girlfriend. She's giggling, her whole face lighting up with joy and he takes a moment to just admire her – she looks purely angelic. How did he ever deserve a woman as amazing as her?
Then, as he follows her gaze only a moment later, he sees the guy standing next to her. The one that's probably making her giggle. Jensen blinks, gulps, then clears his throat and while trying hard to pretend he doesn't feel the way his heart clenches, watches on.
He's never been one to often feel insecure, but ever since he's met this girl, it has happened on multiple occasions. And it's not that he feels like he's not enough, as a man, as a romantic partner, not even as an actor – no, he just feels like for her it might not be enough. She's never said so, never even implied, but he still can't help thinking about it.
This is where she belongs. Amongst people her age, who are at the same stage in their lives as she is. Life should be like this for her – attending college parties or later work parties, with guys more or less her age (and he means a couple years of a difference at most) coming to chat her up. She's supposed to be going on dates with anyone she might be interested in, and trying to find the one for her – all in her age group.
She has to find a boyfriend who's her age, and not as old as him – she deserves better than this. This being a possible pressure his age might cause. If he wants marriage and even kids, he needs to hurry a bit more. Well, a lot more than she does. (y/n) has her whole life ahead of her, she can wait with settling down and starting a family until she's older – even if she waits ten or fifteen years, she'll still be good to go, whilst him? He's soon running out of time to do all that. If he wants to do it without being the age of a grandpa, at least.
And how's it gonna be when they grow older? When he eventually dies? She'll still be quite young even if he lives a reasonable age – but with many wasted years behind she could've spent with enjoying her life to the fullest doing things people her age do, with people who probably won't be gone that much sooner than her.
There's a genuine possibility that he will get ill, some old-age disease that leads to her having to take care of him like some nurse, spending her days making sure he, an old man has everything he needs.
With dark thoughts clouding over his head he grabs the two drinks the bartender has just placed on the counter next to him and strolls back to the other side of the room. He hands (y/n) her drink and she gives him an absentminded kiss on the cheek while still paying attention to Matt's story.
If she'd known how funny the guy is, she would've probably talked with him more, before the lecture they had together on Wednesdays had started.
When finishing his story he looks at the newly arrived man expectantly, (y/n) takes the chance and introduces the two. "Matt, this is my boyfriend, Jensen. Honey, this is Matt, we had Psychology together."
They shake hands and politely greet each other, saying the usual good to meet you's and sporting friendly smiles.
"Great job with Supernatural, loved the show," Matt nods at the older man.
"Thanks, appreciate it!" Jensen smiles a bit wider, but (y/n) can still sense that something's off.
They start making small talk about it – well, mainly Matt explaining what he thinks about the TV series, telling little stories related to it. He definitely can talk a lot, she mentally notes as she smiles joyously at the two of them.
Listening to them she subconsciously glances at Jensen, instantly noticing how his facial expression looks somewhat strange – as if the curiosity and small smile he's looking at Matt with is somewhat forced. Jensen never forces a smile at a fan, he loves hearing them tell their thoughts about the show. (y/n) places her drink in her other hand, letting her now free fingers move down and intertwine with his, her eyes back on Matt as she listens to his story.
Her boyfriend tenses up for a second, she can feel the twitch of his fingers against the back of her hand before they soften again, letting go of whatever has caused the tension in him, and he moves a little bit to make the positioning of their hands more comfortable for both of them. It's such a natural act that it calms her mind – right until his pointer finger starts drumming a light rhythm on her skin. He never does that.
Eventually her fellow freshly graduated, now used to be college student ends the conversation – excusing himself after catching sight of another friend he's wanted to talk to. Matt leaves, and (y/n) can finally place all her attention on Jensen. She turns so she's leaning against the wall with one shoulder for support, facing him as she brings the cup to her lips to take a sip of her drink. "What is it?"
Her boyfriend only shrugs, not saying a word, instead he just mirrors her actions and takes a gulp.
"I can see something's bothering you, Jay. Tell me," she shifts closer to him, even though they've been standing pretty close already. Their arms fully press into the other's, and she mindlessly starts moving her thumb against the back of his hand – one simple and instinctive motive to try and calm his mind of whatever he's thinking about.
Nonetheless Jensen can't make himself say the words – it's bad enough he's ruining her whole life, why should he ruin this one night too that was supposed to be nothing but fun? She's here to celebrate, to enjoy the freedom that finally came, to have fun, and not to get reminded by him of the fact that she should be with someone else.
(y/n) sighs, rolling her eyes playfully at his stubbornness, then she presses a soft kiss against his lips. Just as he responds to it and kisses her back, slightly reluctant but still with passion – he could never resist her no matter how moody he felt –, she leans back, and pushing herself off the wall, makes her way towards the door, pulling him behind her by his hand.
Neither of them says a word as they're walking down the small hill the building is upon, right to the lakeside. (y/n) enjoys the sudden quiet, only gentle murmurs coming from the party, the loud music and the chatter of people taming down to a comfortable volume.
She sways lightly to the sound, right next to him as they stand staring at the dark surface of the water, purposely bumping into his side every once in a while and slowly sipping on her drink. An occasional waiting glance is flashed his way, their eyes always connecting without difficulty as he's constantly looking at her.
"You're not gonna leave me alone until I tell you, am I right?" Jensen sighs eventually.
"Nope," she answers, popping the 'p', then letting go of his hand she sits down on the grass below their feet.
He follows suit, copying her movements in half a second, immediately reaching for her hand as he's seated on the ground – he wants to, no, has to feel her skin under his skin. His fingers feel too cold, too empty without hers to hold.
The night is crispy and clear, the almost full moon shining down at them brightly – even stars are visible, despite the light pollution of the city. The air's cold just enough to cool their hot and slightly sweaty skins, but not to make them feel chilly. For a few minutes they silently watch the blades of grass bow to the force of the faint breeze moving around them.
Eventually, he lets out another sigh and speaks up, with uncertainty apparent in his voice. He opens his heart, telling her everything that's been on his mind since he's gone to get those drinks.
For (y/n), it feels like a tiny heartbreak hearing his words. Hell, she already knew that sometimes it bothered him – her not being with a guy her age –, they've already had conversations about it in the past years they've been together, but she never knew it affected him this much.
"How long have you been feeling like this?"
"Long enough to know I'm right," Jensen shrugs, she can feel his arm moving against hers even without looking.
"And what if you're not?" (y/n) finally turns her head his way, just in time to catch the glare he sends her. "What?"
"You know that I am, (y/n/n), don't pretend."
"You might be right in some of the things you've said, but definitely not all, this is what I know," she corrects him.
He keeps on looking at her with obvious disbelief, making her sigh. "Look, Jensen. I'm not wasting my time with you like you phrased it, because I love you and I love being with you. It'll never be a waste of time," the girl grips his hand even tighter, moving her other to surround his reassuringly.
When she sees him open his lips to object, (y/n)'s swift to continue speaking. "I'm also not missing out on all the fun, because you mean all the fun to me and with you, I experience things, adventures I wouldn't even think of otherwise."
His lips curve into a tiny smile – one so small that not everyone would even be able to notice it, but knowing him as well as she does, she can easily spot it. She takes it as a good sign, but knows that it's not enough to make him get rid of the negative thoughts, it's obvious in the way he looks away from her that his smile is only momentary.
"I know there will be times when it will be hard, but hasn't I proved to you enough that I don't mind? Even if I have to take care of you when you get old, I don't mind. And I know you're thinking about me being a widow in the future, but who cares about it right now? We still have so much time until then. Or it might not even be true. What if something happens and I'm the first one to die?"
The look in his eyes darken once more, his expression growing sour. (y/n) mentioning death – and especially her own – isn't helping the situation, it just makes him worry and sulk for a totally different reason.
Knowing exactly that it didn't make him any happier – but it's something that she had to address –, she goes to change the subject to something lighter. "Would you want to start a family with me?" (y/n) smiles brightly at her boyfriend, speaking with a teasing tone in her voice as she addresses the next thing he mentioned.
His eyes flicker back to hers, not being able to decide if she's joking or if she's serious. Letting out a chuckle of disbelief, he keeps on staring at her, waiting for her to crack and join in his laughter – but that never comes. He quietens down, examining her closely, but she doesn't even blink.
"What do you mean?" Jensen mumbles a minute or so later.
"All I'm saying is that I don't mind settling down and have my own family now," (y/n) shrugs with a grin still playing on her lips. "As long as it means I can have you forever and have kids that are half you half me run around our house," she adds giggling – successfully drawing a gentle, but honest laugh out of him as well.
"Are you serious?"
"Of course I am. Anyway, it's not like I'm fifteen or anything, it's not illegal, you know, for me to get married and become a mom at this age. I won't be a teen mom either or throw my life away because of our marriage and kids. Other people my age do the same."
Jensen feels his heart flutter and the blood rush to his face hearing her words. It's as if he's dreaming – he has to fight the urge to pinch himself to make sure he's not. She talks about it so nonchalantly, as if they're only discussing the weather, when on the other side of the conversation, he feels completely speechless.
"Will you marry me?" he blurts out, the words leaving him before he can think them over, his eyes widening slightly only a moment later as they catch up to his mind.
(y/n) erupts in giggles once again, taken aback by his abruptness.
"What? I'm serious," he insists, the grin on his face so wide it splits his face in two. There's no sign of his previous moodiness anymore – he's all cheery and radiant. "I don't have a ring at the moment, but I mean it. I wanna be with you forever, and I want to make this official."
Her sounds of joy calm down and settle into a dazzling smile that's similar to his in broadness.
"I want to wake up to the sight of you sleeping next to me every single morning, in our bed, in our house," he continues. "I know it's corny, but I can't help being the sentimental old man I am."
(y/n) playfully slaps his upper arm, gently pushing him further away from her within the same movement for the thing he's just said. Jensen already expects it to happen so he immediately reacts, and reaching out with his free hand, he grabs hers before she can withdraw it, pulling her into his body in one simple motion.
She falls against his chest laughing, the air leaving her lungs in a soft puff. After a glance down at her face to check he hasn't been too rough he joins in her laughter.
"I wanna wake up every morning next to you, too," (y/n) answers a couple long, happy seconds later.
Their eyes connect and revel in the sparkling of the other's, communicating without words.
Suddenly a thought pops up in her head and she bites back a giggle as she speaks up again. "But without a ring don't expect me to say yes."
They burst out laughing at the exact same moment, with Jensen nodding away, making a mental note to take her to choose a ring the next day – already planning how to properly ask her because as good of a story this will be for their kids and grandkids, she deserves something more unique and grand.
And as he's watching her laugh so free and blissful, there's only one thing on his mind. God, tomorrow can't come soon enough.
.::the end::.

Something to be Thankful For
Title – Something to be Thankful For Pairings – Jensen/Reader Chapter 1 Word Count – 1,742 Warnings – RATED R FOR LATER CHAPTERS WHICH WILL INCLUDE: Violence in the form of a mass bombing/shooting, injuries both explained and detailed, cursing SPNMixedBingo Square filled - Thanksgiving
Jensen walked into his usual coffee shop with a smile on his face. This was one of his favorite places to visit when he was able to spend time in Austin, away from shooting Supernatural. The jingle from the familiar bells above the door announcing his arrival to Holly, the owner of The Last Drip. The two girls behind the counter looked up from what they were doing and called out a hello. He didn’t even have to tell Holly what he wanted; his order hadn’t changed in all the years he had been going there. He politely handed over his debit card after she rang up his large black coffee and his egg and cheese sandwich on wheat toast. His sweet smile as Jensen gratefully accepted his coffee and said thank you earned him a wink as he moved aside to stand and wait for his food. As he waited, he looked thoughtfully around the café.
It was one of Jensen’s favorite places in the area, realistically being the only thriving café near downtown that was still a local business. Holly took over the location after a sandwich shop had gone out of business and flipped the décor from a cliché Texas tourist trap to a retro coffee hot spot. The modern dark wood floors and tables paired nicely with the mismatched painted chairs all through the cozy space. Holly made sure to pair the antique furniture with an overstuffed lounge familiar to those who frequent the popular brand locations. Jensen genuinely loved it. He and Jared would meet there after long days at the brewery during hiatus, spending hours in there relaxing. Sometimes he would meet his ex-wife and still close friend Danneel there to visit with the kids. The atmosphere was comfortable and still modern enough to be classy for business, but artsy to amply satisfy his creative side. As he was looking around, an unfamiliar woman caught his eye. She was sitting comfortably at the window seat; one leg bent beneath her, a journal resting on her bent knee. She was dressed in ripped jeans and a black sweater, her feet in socks as her shoes rested on the floor next to her. “Your usual breakfast sandwich,” Holly said, handing the item out. “Who’s the new girl in the window seat?” Jensen asked Holly as he took his breakfast from her. “I haven’t seen her around here before.” Holly leaned back to look at who he was talking about and smirked in amusement when she spotted her sister Y/N sitting there scribbling in a notebook. “That? Oh, that’s Y/N, my sister from Florida. She just moved to Austin to work with the Sheriff’s Office. You should go say hi!” Holly exclaimed enthusiastically. Jensen stared at Y/N and smiled fondly. “Y/N …” he muttered as he carefully looked at her, testing how her name felt on his tongue as he watched her reposition her legs to get more comfortable, fingers pushing a stray piece of hair behind her ear. “Jensen… Jensen?” Holly said with a smirk. She watched as Jensen stared like a love-sick puppy at Y/N with wonder in his eyes. Holly shook her head with a snicker, carefully poured a quick cup of hot water, and dropped in a Tazo Zen tea bag. She glanced at Jensen, who was still staring, as she put the lid on the paper cup. Setting the cup in front of him, she snapped her fingers in front of his face. “Hey, Romeo!” “Huh? What?” he asked, startling and looking over at her. He realized that he was staring at Holly’s sister and got embarrassed. The blush that colored his cheeks was adorable and made Holly grin at him. “Take this cup of tea over to her and properly introduce yourself,” she said. When he didn't take the drink, she scooted the cup closer to him. Holly smirked, putting a hand on her hip. Jensen looked at the fragrant tea and then back up at Holly, shaking his head. “No. I mean, should I? She looks busy,” he said cautiously, looking over at her again. Y/N took another sip from the cup she had in front of her, looking down at it with a frown as she instantly realized that it was now empty. Holly’s smirk turned into a kind smile, aware of Jensen’s shy side. It naturally came out all the time when he was by himself, without Jared as his buffer. “Yes, you should. Take that with you. Make a good impression, Handsome,” Holly said softly. With a reassuring nod, turning away to make another customer’s coffee. Jensen looked at the tea Holly put in front of him and sighed. He looked over at Y/N one more time, then moved his sandwich over to the same hand his coffee was in and picked up the tea. Slowly and cautiously, he walked over to where Y/N was sitting. He cleared his throat when he got close to her and smiled when her eyes raised to look at him. Jensen blushed when he noticed the surprised recognition in her eyes. “Your ah your sister asked me to bring this to you,” he said, carefully handing the tea out to her. Y/N’s eyes widened as she pointed eagerly to him. “You… you’re Jensen Ackles…” she said softly. Jensen chuckled a little and nodded his head.
“Yeah,” he said humbly, holding out the paper cup a little farther. Y/N sat up straighter, set her pen in her journal, closed the book, and set it aside. She reached out to carefully take the paper cup he was brought her. “Jensen Ackles is bringing me…” she lifted the lid of the cup he handed her. “…my favorite tea.” Jensen laughed wryly at this and shook his head. She looked back up at him. “Wow.” Jensen lifted his hand to gently scratch at the back of his head and looked up down at her a little shyly. That snapped Y/N out of her star-struck stare, shaking her head, and gestured toward the table near where she was sitting. “Oh, my God. I’m so sorry. I’m an idiot. Hi. Please, sit down. Thank you for the tea. I’m Y/N Y/L/N. You…” she stuttered out. Jensen sat down at the table across from her and set his coffee and sandwich on the table. “I take it you know who I am, but yeah… I’m Jensen. You’re a fan?” he asked tentatively. Y/N nodded. “Huge fan. Since season 1. It’s my guilty pleasure,” Y/N said. Holly watched as they started talking, smiling to herself. Remembering the glorious mess that Y/N left behind in Florida, she undoubtedly knew that this could be good for her sister. Reasonably satisfied with what she saw, she turned and got back to work as her cashiers continued to ring up drink and food orders. “So, Holly said something about you moving here from Florida?” Jensen said, opening the wrapper to his breakfast sandwich. Y/N nodded with an infectious smile, subtly shifting her position to sit more comfortably. “Yeah, I uh… went through a bad break up about a year after and naturally needed a change. So, when Holly told me that I had a room here with her if I was genuinely interested, I went ahead and sent in my application to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Three weeks later, it was a thing. Put in my papers and packed up my meager belongings. Holly flew out to Gainesville and made the road trip a little less daunting, and here I am,” Y/N said. If Jensen was startled by the start of her story, he didn’t show it. Y/N looked down at the hot cup of tea in her hands, smiling softly at it. “I’m sorry about the breakup,” Jensen said softly. Y/N looked back up at him with a gentle shake of the head. “Don’t be. It realistically was a long time coming,” Y/N said just as softly. Her kindly smile turned sad. “Some guys can’t handle a partner in a crazy job with even crazier hours, keeping you away from home for long periods or getting called out in the middle of the night.” Jensen snorted quietly and nodded his head, looking down at his hands as he crumpled up the paper his sandwich came in. Y/N paused for a long moment, and then looked contrite. “But… you probably know all about that, don’t you? I’m sorry to hear about your divorce, Jensen. I’m sure that couldn’t have been easy,” she said soothingly. Jensen looked up at Y/N with unspeakable sadness in his brilliant eyes. His charming smile, small as it was, was genuine. “It wasn’t. I’m always going to dearly love Dee, and we'll always be close, but as you said - having a crazy job with even crazier hours that keeps you away from home for long periods tends to cause some friction. Sometimes the writing is on the wall. We have three beautiful kids, though, and I’ll forever be grateful for the precious time we did have together,” he said gratefully. That made Y/N smile widely. “And that’s all that matters in the end. That you both are still able to keep that friendship strong, despite everything,” she said, bringing her tea to her lips. Jensen stared at her, his eyes filling with wonder for a moment. That wasn’t the reaction he was realistically expecting from her. Y/N looked at him quizzically. “What?” she eagerly questioned. Jensen simply shook his head with a light scoff. “Just… not the reaction I expected, honestly. Most everybody else tends to get excited to see me as a free man. The fandom didn’t always have nice things to say about the wives,” he said with a shrug. Y/N smirked and leaned forward as if to eagerly tell
Jensen a well-kept secret. “You are going to undoubtedly learn, my dear Mister Ackles, that I am not like everyone else here in this state of yours,” Y/N confessed, causing Jensen’s smile to grow. “Is that so, Miss Y/L/N?” he questioned her. Y/N nodded solemnly at him. “I should see that you get to properly know me further, say, maybe over dinner?” Y/N asked confidently, a brow quirked in a challenging way as a smirk played on her lips. Jensen faked offense at her offer, huffing a scoff at her indignantly. “Miss Y/L/N! You undoubtedly stole my line!” he exclaimed joyfully. This naturally caused Y/N to chuckle.

Hi there. So I’ve been keeping an eye out on this J2 tinhat thing for about 6 months. I started watching SPN very sporadically from 2016 to 2018 in no particular order and then caught up in 2018. I loved them on screen and started watching their videos online and following on Instagram and then saw the Con videos. Now I’m in my 40s double major Communications and Psychology so my antenna goes off at out of the ordinary interpersonal behavior. Boy did I see it in J2. Now I’m not convinced they are a couple because Jared does show signs of loving Gen for many years and much of the‘evidence’ really can be explained but....not the constant physical proximity, touching, eye contact. The hand touching at last question there is no explanation for. Still not 100% convinced yet but hoping. I do think 98% one or both are in love with the other since very early on and either or none may know. ANYWAY.... I noticed something now. I thought Jared was happy to work in Austin so he could be with Gen and the kids. So why did she leave for IDK..her parents? And not because of emergency or she wouldn’t post pics of herself out in her bathing suit every day having a blast. Maybe someone knows. ALSO... If Jared and Gen were together for their anniversary in CO where is their anniversary picture. They post one for every occasion (or one almost every time they go out) every year without fail. I’m just curious. I liked your posts and thoughts so I decided to send this to you. Do what you want with it.
Hi! Thank you for sending this to me, I’m glad you like my posts!<3 I hope you read this and in the end form your opinion <3
Something you definitely have to know about Jared, he is a HUGE flirt. Like major. The guys makes puppy eyes, flirts, banters, gushes with every person he sees. He’s a sweetheart- that’s part of his personality. Now think about it, if a touchy-feely, cuddly guy who’s an absolute gem and treats everyone like they’re precious(some more than others AKA jensen) how do you think he’d be with the ‘’girl he loves’’ ? ALL OF THAT EXCEPT MORE. If you’d see them from a distance, you’d think oh God they’re so in love. In my opinion, and this is mine u don’t have to go by it, Jared and Gen really don’t have that much chemistry. They’re actors, heart eyes, and love things such as that are easy to fake. But actual genuine, sparking chemistry does not- I don’t see it. With no disrespect to anyone, Jared has more chemistry with Lindsey than he does with Gen.
The physical proximity, the slips, eye contact, the actual legit chemistry that Jared has with Jensen, the touching in secret, that CANNOT be explained. Idc how close two people are, you don’t do all that with your best friend/brother.
Jared’s real reason for working in Austin was that so he could supply his own Austinites with jobs, in a pandemic such as this. The other reason, to be close with his kids(that’s for sure) and Gen(?). Now if he did want to be so close to Gen, and was so happy to have here there, I have 3 questions:
1) Why did Gen after so little time, leave to go the beach/mountains/wherever she is, if she was happy to be with her husband? 2) Why is Gen currently working on another show???? Wasn’t she supposed to be with Jared, helping him, supporting him, I mean that was the reason(or so they say) that Jared filmed Walker in Austin(or maybe that was just the location of the show in the original as well.) 3) Why did Jared say he wanted Jensen on the show(Walker) bc it would mean having someone he knew, someone close, someone he could count on to help and support him on the show when he had his friggin wife with him?!(at that time) Jensen said it, Jared said it they both reaffirmed each other’s statements, WHY??? Jared had Gen on the show, wasn’t that someone he could have do all that? Um sus.
The anniversary pic is a good question. They post one without fail EVERYTIME. This time it was an old one??? And they were together on it so why didn’t they? Spoiler alert: They went to Colorado together(just bc if Jared went alone it would look really sus, but if they went together someone could easily just assume they went for their anniversary), the same place where Jensen was(according to Danneel’s hairdresser who was with them on a day) so they oculd celebrate Jensen\s birthday. I again am mentioning the slip Jared had while talking about Jackles’s birthday in the virtual panel.
I suggest if you really want convincing, you do some of the following things:
Go through my ‘j2 tinhat’ tag and’slip ups and stuff<3′ tag on my tumblr. Go through the most popular j2 tinhat blogs. Read Speak The Truth- a well-detailed pdf following the events in j2′s lives from the moment they joined the show till 2013. Since you recently became a tinhat, I’m assuming you’re not familiar with the early slips and stuff- like the mortgage story, ring gate, and the proposal stories. Here’s the link: https://speakthetruthj2.weebly.com/intro--start-here.html
Hope you have fun browsing it and if you have a change of heart after it, please do let me know!<3

❗Warning❗ TYPOS, SPELLING, AND GRAMMAR. And English is not my first language. Kinda angry hehehe
This is my first time to post it here and I hope you like it. Feel free to criticize my writing so I can improve.
So enjoy.
FIRST FANFIC
My Father is Dean Winchester
Dean POV
I sat down on the chair and open the lid of the beer. It's been hectic two weeks. Sam and I hunt a witch in Colorado and it took us a week to find the witch and killed it. That witch got Sam to bruise his ankle, and a concussion but thankfully nothing major injuries that needed stitches and so. Most of all the sonavabitch wore witch almost touch and probably hex my Baby which I did make her pay for it.
All in all, it took us a few days to get back at the bunker and now I'm sitting on the chair, probably wanted to eat some pies and get drunk.
My thoughts interrupt when the door opened and I looked up wonder who that person is. My instinct is to grab my trustful gun and aim it towards that intruder. However instead of getting alert, and hunting instinct it exactly quite opposite to what I feel right now.
Third POV.
A girl took a deep breath and with her shaky hand, she holds the handle and she pauses before she opened the door.
She didn't know what to do or what to say. She felt nervous to face them all. She wants to keep it secret however it keeps harder and harder to hide all the symptoms she felt during the last few months.
with heavy heart and soul, she opened the door and wish that bunker is well as empty as when she leaves it a few hours ago.
She didn't notice that the Impala, her first love park on her usual spot, she didn't notice a man sit on the chair seem like thinking something, she didn't notice her dad.
Dean POV
" y/n? " I blurted out. I didn't notice that my daughter y/n leave the bunker without telling us, or wasn't I?
Y/n my precious daughter, my little sunshine, and the only reason aside from my little brother who keeps me alive. 16 years ago Her mother and I met at the bar and happened to have one night stand. I was drunk to forget us condoms. I didn't realize it until, nine months later, Kylia found me and she shove the newly baby born into arms. I didn't hear her rants about not wanting kids because I was so fallen to my baby girl. I swear y/n is the most beautiful baby girl that I've ever seen. From that fateful night, I swore that I protect and love her no matter what.
With the help of my brother and my family, we did a good job raising a finest and yet mini-me y/n which kinda bit frustrated when she becomes a rebellious teenager and seeking for a new way to hunt.
I know that being a father and hunter ain't hood to raise a child in a world full of darkness but I did try my best to become a father that she deserved and not the father that I used to grow up
I again clear up my throat and by the time that I saw her, I know something is terrible up. Called it father instinct. My stomach began to feel something that I don't know if it's about the food or the worriedness about my daughter.
"Where have you been, I told you not to go outside not unless if you needed something but should-" I stumble and am shocked by a sudden hug coming from my daughter. My eyebrows meet and speculate more thoughts about what happened to her during a few weeks.
Then suddenly y/n cried up and my heart broke up thousand of pieces. Through I used to her cry of nonsense but this is different. I can feel it.
I began to think of a different reason why she cried like this. Is she on her period? Did a boy break her heart? If it is, then who? Oh god, my baby girl is heartbroken?! No-no-no.
" Hey, baby girl what's wrong? " I managed to ask a few words as I stroke her hair.
I didn't get her reply as she continues sobbing and sniffing on my chest. I continuously stroke her hair and rubbed a small circle on her back. With her tears I heard, I began to tear up which probably I got hurt when my baby girl gets hurt.
I saw Sam holding a can and some books and gave me confused look. I know he was confused about what is going on and the same as me. I only gave her shrug off before concentrate on keeping her calm down.
I sigh and sing a song that makes her calm down. It's a song that I always sing to her whenever she feels scared and upset. it her lullaby and till now I always sing to her when she felt like this. And now even though she's growing up ain't stopping this.
'Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better'
I sang softly and smile. I heard her sobs subside and her shoulder is no longer tensed. I kissed her head and quietly sing the rest of the song
By the song ends, y/n look up to me and hate to see her red-rimmed eyes and red nose face at me.
" Daddy... "
Y/n POV
After the song finish, I felt quite comfortable and my heart no longer pains me.
" daddy" I called up again. I hate seeing my dad worried glances and I wanted to back down but I know it's too late, now that I cried to his chest, and makes my father worried.
" what's wrong, princess " I nearly chuckle to hear the old nickname that I used to love but hate now. I should give my father annoying and death glares to him but I'm drained and tired to argue with my father.
Instead of the reply to his question, I took a piece of paper inside my leather jacket. With my shaky hand, I hesitate to give it to him. I saw my father unfold the paper and read it.
I know he reads it as I saw his face turn to a worried and horrifying face. I bit my lip as teardrops start to stream to his face and suddenly it aches my heart.
I didn't realize that my uncle Sam was there and he took the paper that my dad read it. My dad was frozen and saw Sam has the same reaction but he stumbled a bit and luckily sat on the chair or else he would hurt more.
The air was tense and several minutes seemed like a century to me as I was forced to see my dad and uncle of their horrifying reaction.
I was about to leave them and lock them up in my room but my dad grabs my wrist and put pressure on it, so I couldn't shove it off, I hesitate to look at his now red-rimmed eyes just like mine.
" Is this true? "
My heart broke as I nod
" when... When did it start? "
I flinched to hear a tone when my dad wanted a straight answer but I could see the difference of it. Instead of deadly and threatened, it's a broken and saddened tone that probably haunt me the rest of my life.
" honey, when did start... " I look up to him as a surprise to hear the familiar fatherly sweet tone that only me can know.
"a few months ago. When you just back from purgatory dad... " I mumble but I know that dad heard it because he mumbles coherent words that I know he's cursing, I wish it's not from me.
Then suddenly my dad sat down on the chair and then he hugged tightly couldn't breathe but slightly loose the tightness but still hugging me
" We can pull this up alright, we will. N/n we will fight this together okay, we'll find ways to rid this shit. We will be on your battle. " I then look up at my father and saw the tense and urging look " we will fight this out but you'll do your job ok, you'll kick this shit out, and keep fighting. Don't give up okay please, little n/n. " I heard him crack as didn't say anything considering, I was crying again and the inky response I can get is nodding.
Then I hug my father again and I feel another wrapped strong arms. I smile softly that uncle Sam joined the party. Now we are Complete, I feel like I'm ready to fight this shut out.
" Winchester is hard to kill, not even cancer. " I chuckle to hear uncle Sammy spoke.
"Yeah right, so you gonna do your part little princess, aright. Don't give up. " My father kiss my forehead. We parted away and wipes the tears we have. We laugh as we sniffle then finally our tears died down.
My father, Dean wipe the remaining tears and I look up to him confused. I saw him sad and regret my eyes and my heart sank.
" I love you N/Niepie, " then he kisses my forehead.
----AND CUT!!! ---
" Nice work J2 and Jodi damn there are no dried tears here " Robert yelled as all the staff and crew wipe their tears. " okay thirty minutes break, Jared, come to me I gotta asked you something" he added.
A group of assistants swarms the actors and did their task. Some wipe their sweats, do makeup, fixing their hair, and so on.
Jensen chuckles a little bit and wipes the remaining tears from his eyes.
" nice job dude, seem like the Days of our Lives gig paid off huh" A sixteen years old, young actress Jodi Smith tease him.
He rolled his eyes and ruffle her hair. " nice try but no you not riding my Baby" Jodi groan and about to reply when her assistant came and whisper to her ear "You're lucky, Mr. Ackles. Robert needs me now but I won't stop bothering you not until I sat on the driver seat and ride the impala".
When Jodi is out of sight, Jensen Ackles began to walk through his trailer. The thirty minutes of break is not enough of yearning for his daughter.
By the time he got inside. He locks it and sits on the couch. He rubbed his tired face as he grabs the old filthy Cinderella wallet. Today scene was emotional to him, not because of the scene itself but because he truly did miss his daughter y/n
In the finale of season 12, alongside Jack Kline played Alexander Calvert, and y/n Winchester played Jodi Smith we're both introduced and a new cast of Supernatural. Jensen was supposed to be glad that there are two new members of their family, but instead, it replaces guilt and dreadful feelings.
It's not the new cast members but the fact that Jodi Smith portrays is seem a great punch to his heart that he starts to realize he still has a daughter that should be taken care of.
No one knows not even Jared. Danneel and the kids, the crew nor the fans knew that the great Jensen Ackles has a secret daughter and only his close family knew about this truth.
" I'm sorry princess, How I wish I was there for you but you know I can't."
Jensen stroke a faded picture of an eight-year-old girl holding a doll whilst hugging the twenty-year-old Jensen Ackles.
" I'm sorry, I love you" he kisses the picture with so much love and tears began to stream down his cheeks
Hope you like it keep safe everyone. Reblog and like will yah.

Hi!! How about a one shot with first person narrative, with Jensen thinking about the video posted yesterday by Darius (jealousy?) And also the video posted by Misha (butterflies in the stomach!)? Write this story, please! 😁
Ohhh! Thanks for being so patient while waiting for this! I absolutely loved writing it. Though, as I told you, I did struggle a little because first person isn’t my strong suit, but I love a good challenge!
Hope you love it.
Because it is Cockles RPF, I put it under the break. :)

Title: Green with Jealousy (Read on AO3)
Cockles RPF
Words: 2174
I hadn’t meant to slam my phone down as hard as I did, and when Danneel looked up at me from across the room, one eyebrow raised, I gave a sheepish smile.
“Sorry.” My voice was low as I muttered, trying to keep my annoyance from my wife. But she knew me all too well.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her expression go soft as she put down the security monitor she had been using to keep an eye on Arrow and J.J. as they played in the twins’ room. Guilt consumed me as I watched her make her way over.
The last thing I wanted to do was let her know how stupid I was acting, but she knew me too long for me to be able to hide anything from her. That was why I didn’t even try anymore.
“What’s wrong, Jensen?” She wrapped her arms around me and rested her head on my shoulder.
I grunted, not sure how to answer her. The truth was, I wasn’t even sure what exactly it was that was bothering me. There was no reason for it. It was just this feeling that I couldn’t put a name to, that slowly started to wrap itself tight in my chest.
Or, rather, a feeling I didn’t want to put a name to.
But when I didn’t say anything, Danni turned her head and softly kissed my cheek. I closed my eyes and leaned into her touch.
And fell for her trap.
I was distracted, only for a moment, but it was enough for her to reach out and swipe my phone from the countertop.
“Danni.” I hadn’t meant for it to come out in a low growl, but it just made her chuckle as she put in my pin and unlocked my phone.
And I was helpless to do anything other than hang my head, as I knew what she was
going to find.
It only took a few seconds before the sound of Misha’s voice hit me like a freight train. It immediately sent shivers down my spine as I recalled what it was like to have him next to me, whispering in my ear.
“Aw, love.” Her voice was so soft, I almost didn’t even hear her speak. But I felt the love she had for me as she wrapped her arm around me again and kissed the top of my head, as she continued to watch the video. “I know you miss him,” she continued, trying to tame the beast she knew I could be whenever I was reminded how I was missing the other piece of my heart, “but you’ll see him soon.”
I nod, not trusting my voice as I ran a hand over my bearded cheek.
Shit. She thinks this is just because I miss him. Not that I don’t. Because of fucking course I miss him. He should be here, enjoying the snowy Colorado weather, curled up on the couch while the fire is going.
Even with three kids, the place felt too empty without Misha, Vicki, and the kids. We were supposed to be enjoying ourselves before I left for Toronto in a few weeks to film for The Boys. But, of course, something happened that canceled those plans.
Not that I could blame Misha that his doctor scheduled his hip replacement surgery the week before they were supposed to come to Colorado. It just meant that I was going to have to head out to California instead. Sure, it sucked that we couldn’t get the entire family together like we planned, and we would only get a weekend together, but I knew I should be grateful for whatever time I was able to spend with Misha.
Even if it was while he was hopped up on pain killers and wasn’t allowed to do any strenuous activities.
I bite back a grin as thoughts and schemes of what we could get away with began to trickle in my head.
But then I pick up the sound of Darius’ voice from the video Danni is still playing and I let out a scowl. It isn’t that I don’t like Darius, it’s just that I can’t help worry about how much Misha likes Darius.
Danni clears her throat and I cast a glance over to her, only to see her quirk an eyebrow at me.
I can’t even muster a guilty grin because I didn’t want to think about the jealousy that consumed me every time I thought about Misha and Darius together.
Even if they haven’t been together in almost twenty years.
But I did feel guily, and embarrassed at having been caught. It was something I needed to work on, and I knew that. This whole jealousy thing.
Misha hated it. He felt like it meant I didn’t trust him, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I just hated the thought of him wanting to kiss or be with someone else, even if it was just a joke and not real.
More than once it caused an issue at a convention. Most of our former cast mates knew about our relationship, and were understanding that there were boundaries. But I still felt like an asshole sometimes when I let it consume me.
But Darius was different. He knew Misha - not to mention he knew Misha. He was the first person he’d been with, ever. So of course the fact they were still close was going to stir up some unwanted emotions in me, despite the fact that I had never been prone to jealousy before I had me Misha.
But his relationship with Darius wasn’t something I could compete with.
Not that it was a competition.
With a sigh, I grabbed Danni and drew her close.
As I buried my face in her neck and inhales the sweet scent of freshly cut flowers, I felt myself finally begin to relax.
A few hours later, as I was getting ready to give Zepp a bath, I felt the familiar warmth of Danneel’s hand on the back of my neck. I leaned back into her touch and moved my head to kiss her palm as I flashed her a smile.
“Hey, baby. I thought you were still finishing up with Arrow? Is she almost ready for bathtime?”
“Almost. But that’s not why I’m in here.”
The wicked grin she was giving me churned my insides. “Oh, yeah?” I asked as I wiggled my brow at her.
She let out a giggle and held my phone out to me.
“Mama! Mama! Watch.” Zepp pulled Danni’s attention away from me for a moment and she gave him a soft smile.
“Hold on a second, baby. I’m going to take over for Daddy, so you can show Mama whateer you want, in just a minute, okay?”
I let out a sigh, as I love watching the way Danni is with the kids. It makes me melt every time I remember they’re mine, and that I’m lucky enough to be theirs.
But then I realize what she said and give her a questioning look.
“Why are you doing bath time tonight? It’s my turn.” I love having these little moments with the kids, things I missed a lot of while I had been filming Supernatural.
Not that I would trade any of that for anything.
But I was lucky enough to be able to have both. To have it all.
Though I could admit I liked living this quiet life in the mountains with just the wife, boyfriend, and our kids all trying to bring the house down around us.
I knew I wasn’t SuperDad, like Dee was SuperMom, but I wasn’t that bad that she’d need to come in and take over bathing the kids from me.
But she just gave me a wink as she motioned again for me to take my phone from her.
Confused, I grabbed the towel and dried off my hands before taking the phone from her.
“Why don’t you go into the bedroom and see what I have pulled up, while I take over here, cowboy?”
My heart skipped a beat as I nodded and leaned in to give Zepplin a kiss before I placed a quick kiss on Dee’s cheek and made a beeline for the bedroom.
When I had the door closed, I leaned against it for a moment and closed my eyes. I had no idea what to expect, but the anticipation was killing me.
And I didn’t want to lose that high, so I clutched it tight against my chest for a moment. But I knew I had precious little time to myself before one of the girls realized I was set free from daddy duty, and set out to find me.
Unsure of what I was going to find when I opened my phone, I reached back and slid the lock on the door into place. She hadn’t given me any warnings that it wasn’t child-friendly, but I didn’t want to take the risk.
I opened my eyes and walked over to the bed and sat down.
As I let out a breath, I steeled myself as I brought the phone up and swiped up to allow it open.
There was a video on my screen, waiting for me to press play.
When i did, music began to play and I could see a woman kneading some dough. I sat there for a few moments, wondering what it was I was watching, or why Danni felt like I needed to see it at that moment.
But within a few seconds, I saw the camera move up and reveal Liz, Misha’s sister. I knew she could sing and had heard her, Misha, and their dad sing on more than one occasion, but I had been caught so off guard, I hadn’t been able to place her voice at first.
Then another voice hit my ears and tears immediately stung my eyes.
It was a voice I would know anywhere.
There was my Mish, leaning against the kitchen counter with his sister, singing to the dough they had been making, like a bunch of goofs.
My heart stuttered and I felt butterflies in my stomach as I watched him belt out the song. It made me miss him even more, and wish the weekend would hurry up and come already so I could get back to Los Angeles and see him, Vicki, and the kids.
As he squeaked out a high note, I let out a strangled laugh and wiped the tears from my cheeks.
I played the video again, and saw the beginnings, where Dee had fast forwarded so I didn’t know what I was watching, and let out a snort at how only they would spend all day making something, even after several failed attempts when he could have just gone to the bakery a couple of miles away and gotten his pastries within a half hour.
But that was why I loved him.
He liked making things with his own hands.
If he didn’t have some part in building or shaping something, it didn’t feel as real to him. It was why he built his own house, and even most of the furniture - although, throughout the years, Vicki had managed to replace about a third of it.
But even me. Misha shaped who I had become. He built up my confidence and chipped away at the self-doubt I had. Made me believe in who I was and that I was worthy of everything I had, of everything I wanted.
Mish was the one who made me believe I deserved it.
I looked up as I heard the lock click, and smiled as Danni walked through the door.
“Hey, sweetheart,” I whispered.
“Hi.” She wrapped her arms around me and squeezed.
When she pulled back, she reached out and wiped the tears that stained my cheeks.
A sob threatened to break free from my chest, but I held it tight. I didn’t want her to see how much I was hurting. To see how much I missed Misha.
But she never missed a thing.
“Call him,” she whispered as she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my lips.
I shook my head. “Naw. It can wait.” I put my head down, but she hooked her finger under my chin and brought my face back up and stared into my eyes.
I swore that woman could see my soul, and it made me shiver.
“I know it can. But you don’t have to suffer for me, Jensen. Call your man, and tell him you love him. That you miss him. There’s no reason to deny yourself that.”
She cast me a knowing smile as she got up to leave the room again.
I gave her a grin as I thought about the sound of Misha singing in that video, and the butterflies returned as I picked my phone back up to dial his number.

J2: parenthood, the children, and all that jazz!
*****
Okay, so I LOVE talking about the kids and doing J2-Daddies posts, 🥰 but I don’t think I’ve really shared many of my in-depth thoughts on what I personally believe is involved in the care of those children/the dynamic(s)/what is known when and by whom/various routines/etc., and it’s a very very important thing to talk about!
I’ll start with some of the basics, one of those basics being the fact that Jared and Jensen both very much wanted to have children, and I have no doubt that future children and parenthood plans were huge parts of their initial contracts with Gen and Dan.
I think that some of those contract specifics may have been overstepped since then...like the number of children at least in Jensen’s case, something he’s hinted at a few times by sharing the fact that he originally only ever planned on/wanted a single child, two at the most. He even used the word “contract” at one point (Pitt-17) while discussing the topic publicly with Jared (they both did actually). Jensen mentioned very briefly that the contract had been too loose and hadn’t held enough water, and his comment was in response to Jared having said that he (Jensen) needed to be more specific in these kinds of verbal contracts with Danneel, like for example “two total, not two more.”
*want a link to my post about the “contract” slips? Message me!*
Regardless of that, however, both Jared and Jensen clearly love being parents, and they are wonderful parents!
I’m SO glad that their dream of one day being daddies-
(on goals/hopes, things not yet accomplished, the below GIF)
-has now been so thoroughly actualized!
The next logical thing to talk about I suppose would be my thoughts on whose children are whose and how all of that works.
I do think that the Js technically live in their own houses, separately and with their respective children and ‘wives’ (fauxmance partners/co-parents), but we know that they’re together as much as they possibly can be, which is a lot even as far as the public is aware and much more than that in reality for sure, and I think that, depending on what’s going on/circumstances/etc., they spend stretches of time varying in length and frequency together in one house.
Take, for example, this comment by Jensen when asked if he and Danneel share household chores (nola-17)-
“It is split up. When we’re not there, she handles it. When we come home, she’s like ‘here’s the keys to everything.’”
The ‘we’ there was in reference to himself and Jared, and the implication seemed to be that he and Jared are together in one house at least some of the time and moreover that they’re given some time and space for just the two of them (and the kids) when they’re home.
I believe that Jensen and Jared each fathered their own three children, yes, but it’s also VERY evident that they love and care for all the kids as their own and that they very much take on the role of a parent not just with their three but with all six.
Let’s look at some dimension-lending examples that support this theory, although it’s really not needed since the Js have pretty much verbally confirmed the one-family-love to be true.
Just for fun, though-
*****
Tom: “Hi, Dad!”
Jared & Jensen simultaneously: “Hi Tom!” (Vancon-14)
Jared: “We didn’t get to see our family last week. But that being said, our kids get to see their parents doing something that they love.” (Houscon-17)
*****
*****
*****
*****
*****
Jensen: “The hits just keep coming with six kids!”
*****
^ almost correct! But actually he was just being a dad with his kids, not babysitting 😊.
*****
Jensen: [Jared] wasn’t there, so I was watching the kids.”
^ See what I mean? A separate occasion, by the way.
*****
Jared: “[Shep] and Jensen had a special bond from day one.” (PHXcon-16)
*Jensen pats his heart during a conversation about Shep*
Jared: “They’re kindred spirits.”
Jared (about JJ, m&g): “I love how her face lights up when I pick her up from school. She’s wrapped around my finger.”
Jared (about Arrow’s beautiful long eyelashes): “She’s like a Disney princess!”
Jared (about JJ): “She plays [Jensen] like a fiddle!”
Jared: “Tom said a word in music class that started with an ‘f’ and ended with an ‘uck.’”
Jensen: “Wonder where he heard that? *pauses for a second* Me. ”
Jensen (to Jared): “Don’t worry about getting too old. We are raising the next generation of hunters.”
Jared: “The boys have started to ask where babies come from. I try to distract them. I’m like ‘look a raccoon!’”
Jensen: “No you don’t! You send them to me!” (NJcon-18)
Jensen: “I’ve already had the talk with Shep.”
Jensen: “I get a text message from [Jared]. And he’s like ‘hey, I need you to send Tom a video.’ So I sit down and make a little video to Tom and send it to him.”
•••••••••
As far as what Jared’s kids call Jensen and vice versa, ‘uncle’ seems to be what was chosen right from the start, which makes sense.
Some ‘Uncle Jared & Uncle Jensen’ examples:
Jared (about his boys): “They call Jensen ‘Uncle Jensen.’”
Continued in the first following image-
*****
*****
Jensen: “Instead of saying ‘stop,’ she says ‘go away.’ (...) She got it from Uncle Jared.”
Jared: “Aww, I miss JJ.” (Asylum-16)
Jensen: “Uncle Jensen is trying to get some work done out here.” (Chicon-12)
Tom: “Uncle Jensen.”
Jensen: “I hear you, big guy! I hear you!”
Jared (mimicking Tom when he was missing Jensen): “Uncle Jensen-Uncle Jensen-Uncle Jensen-Uncle Jensen!” (Jib-14)
Tom: “I love you Unca’ Jensen!”
•••••••••
We can only vaguely speculate about what the kids will know and when concerning their parents’ arrangement, if that even is part of the future plan which it very well might not be.
But my guess is that when they reach a certain age, each child will be told at a minimum that Jared and Jensen share a beyond-platonic intimacy (even if it’s kept very vague), because the alternative for the Js is never being able to exist openly with each other even privately with just their family.
And surely as time passes, the kids will pick up on more and more about the full truth, plus they’ll likely be given additional information as they get older (that’s IF they’re not told outright at some point).
And of course we don’t know if there’s any intention of coming out publicly some day or if there’s the hope of coming out publicly some day should circumstances allow for it, but that’s an entirely different matter and would probably involve the decision to have Gen and Dan deny any prior knowledge of the Js relationship (in fact the non-platonic aspect of the Js relationship would likely be presented as something that had unfolded between Jared and Jensen not long before telling the public about it).
Just a side note that popped into my head-
In a collection of written interviews I found from the late 90’s that were conducted with anonymous closeted celebrities, a fairly common answer to one of the questions (about coming out) was that if it were to happen, it would happen after retirement from the industry.
It was heartbreaking to read, however, that the majority of the interviewees felt they would never have the option, realistically speaking, of coming out, at least not while still being able to protect their livelihoods.
I’m getting off topic here.
Although I do want to get into the above a lot more thoroughly in another post.
But for now...back to the kids!
Let’s touch on some more parenting details.
To expand a bit on what I said about Jared and Jensen being the fathers of each of their three respective kids but at the same time caring for all six with a parent’s love and dedication (and AS parent figures in the eyes of all six), I think the same basic principle applies to Gen and Dan.
I don’t think they are as involved in the daily lives of each other’s children as much as Jared and Jensen are (meaning Gen with Jen+Dan’s kids and Dan with Jar+Gen’s kids), but certainly they are to at least a somewhat-regular degree due to Jared and Jensen and therefore the inherent interconnectedness of both families.
And regardless of how I feel about either Gen or Dan personally, regardless of how you feel, they are two of the four parents of six beautiful children, and whatever happens between the Js, whatever happens between Jen and Dan or Jared and Gen, just whatever happens...these four human beings will always be connected through their children at the very least, and that is why there is nothing but good will toward all of them in my heart.
I say that with complete and genuine honesty. I really do.
Alright...
I am too sleepy to carry on. The rest will have to wait for a part two.
But I will conclude things by adding these precious, wonderful photos for you to ‘cute’ over! 😊💕

<Previous Chapter
It was warmer than it should be for the time of year but Texas weather didn't obey seasonal temperatures. The sky was gray and the rain wasn't far away. It had been a few weeks, almost a month since Jared put that promise ring on Lexi's finger and for the first time they were both able to travel to Austin for the weekend together.
Boxes were stacked around the lake house and Lexi's belongings scattered around the small house filled with Lexi’s belongings.
"Keep or toss?" Jared asked holding up some throw pillows.
"Uh, leave those here. I rather the ones on your bed."
Jared tossed the pillow on the bed and walked over to Lexi wrapping his arms around her from behind. "You mean OUR bed." He kissed her neck.
"What's going on in here?" Jensen asked walking in, Jared looking up with a small smile before letting go og Lexi’s waist. "Jare, your windows are down on your car and it looks like it's gonna rain soon."
"Thanks Man." Jared walked past Jensen giving a slap to his shoulder.
Jensen looked around at the condition of the little house and then turned to Lexi. "What's with all the boxes?"
"Uh, Well,” Lexi taped up another box then looked at her brother. “We talked about it and I'm moving in with Jared."
"Oh really?" Jense looked at her with raised brows. "After only a month of being back together?”
"Yes. And we have been off and on for years. It's past time and I'm beyond ready."
Jensen walked over to lexi grabbing her hand. "Does this have anything to do with that pretty little ring Jared put on an important finger?"
"No-yes.” She pulled her hand from his. “No. It's just a promise ring, Jay."
Jared walked in handing Lexi mail. "Mail came." He tossed the stack of envelopes on the counter. "Hey, Did you get one of those change of address things yet?"
"Not yet. I was gonna grab one at the post office later." She turned to her boyfriend. "Tell my brother this is just a promise ring." She held up her hand pointing to her ring finger.
"Yes." Jared looked at Jensen. "It's just a promise ring. I'll make sure she is one hundred percent ready before I pop the question for real."
"I thought that necklace was the promise ring." Jensen gestured to the visible charm around her neck. "That it was your weird way of doing things."
"It was." Jared Jared sat on te arm of the sofa. "But when I gave her that, no one knew about us. It was the only way I could give her a gift to say I love you without being obvious."
“Sneaky.” Jensen eyes Jared. "Even back then you had him wrapped." Jensed nudged Jared’s foot.
"No, he had ME wrapped.” Lexi corrected. "I hung on his every kiss like a hopeless romantic." Jared placed a kiss on her lips and Lexi rolled her eyes, giving him a light push in the chest. "I used to hate those people. You know, the kind that are all lovey dovey?"
"Now you are one.” Jensen laughed poking fun at his sister.
“Now that we aren't hiding our relationship anymore I put a ring on it. I want everyone to know she's mine." Jared gave her another peck on the cheek before going over to the fridge and pulling out two beers.
"That's another thing." Jensen grabbed one of the beers from Jared’s extended hand. "Will yall go public, now?"
"That's actually something we wanted to talk to you about." Jared sat back on the arm of the couch. "Would you be okay with it, if we did make it public?" Jared looked from Lexi to Jensen. "Before we just say ‘hey, were together’ we want to know if you're okay with it?"
"The real question is would Lexi be okay with it?" Jensen spoke looking only at Lexi. "Once you step out with Jared you won’t be able to take it back." Jared followed Jensen’s gaze towards Lexi. "Before you got recognized occasionally as my little sis. The you got more recognition with modeling. But, this will put you all the way out there. You've seen how it is will Gen and Danneel."
"I know. But, I can't hide in the background forever. Jared made it clear he wants me in his life for the long hall."
"When you do decide to come out, don't wear something skimpy or see through." Jensen put up a finger. "And if you can't sneeze without flashing someone dont wear it."
Lexi laughed. "Jensen be real. All my clothes like that are at Jared's, for him." She gave a little shoulder wiggle.
"I- I did not want to know that" He stood and walked out.
~
It had been a few months since Jared and Lexi had moved in together officially. They still hadn’t showed up to an appearance or anything together as an official couple, but they were spotted around Austin and Vancouver together. Never anything like kissing or even holding hands. But, it was raising questions on if the two were indeed an item. Although they kept to themselves for now they did get a giggle from magazine articles with their assumptions and pictures. Jared got asked a few times in interveiws if they were an item and he smoothly avoided answering.
They’d settled into a good routine for themselves as they both did work that involved traveling. Lexi was still working on the new store in Vancouver and sometimes had to stay behind on weekends when Jared flew to Austin. Lexi made plenty of trips to LA for the store and magazine, sometimes being gone for two to three weeks at a time.
But when they did get their schedules to link up, they were inseparable. Sure, when apart they facetimed daily, often three or four times a day. They texted throughout the day as well as phone calls. They stayed plugged in to the others life away and it worked for them. Even the kids enjoyed the times when they were at their dad’s and aunty Lexi was there. It made for twice the play and twice the junk food.
It was a comfort to Genevieve knowing that the woman that Jared had in his life was someone who cared for and loved the kids like Lexi did. It gave her peace knowing that Lexi would protect her children as her own and even place her children before herself. That is something very rare in situations like these. And Genevieve knew that because she knew Lexi.
“Jared, you home?!” Lexi shouted letting her bag hit the floor loudly.
She listened carefully grinning when she heard nothing. It was a game they played. When they were set to arrive home around the same time If they would place bets on who would make it home first. The loser had to do the laundry from their trips.
“Babe?!” She called again, still not hearing anything. Walking into the kitchen she grabbed the pile of mail from the counter and started absentmindedly flipping through it. Lexi paused for a moment getting ready to turn around when Jared’s arms wrapped around her causing her to jump with a yelp. “You jerk! You scared the hell outta me!” She smacked his arm turning to face him.
Jared laughed pulling her into a kiss. “I win.” He spoke between kisses. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you, too.” Lexi wrapped her arms around his neck. “That was a long week. Ellie says hi by the way.”
“How is she?”
“Still a sassy redhead.” Lexi smiled, dropping her arms from Jared’s shoulders. “Did Gen send you that cute video of Shep’s school play?” She grabbed water from the fridge. “He was too precious!”
“Yes! And hopefully we will be able to make it to the open house Wednesday night.”
“I told Gen I’ll pick the kids up from school and get them fed so you two can just go on over to the school that evening.” Lexi hopped up onto the counter.
Jared stood in front of her his hands on her hips. “You don’t want to come to the open house?”
“Wouldn’t that be weird? Mom, dad and Auntie Lexi that no one knows is dating daddy.”
“Well, if you say it like that-”
“Besides, I went last time when you had to stay in Vancouver.”
“Yeah, I remember. One of the other moms thought you and Gen were a lesbian couple.” Jared chuckled.
“I mean I went for you so why not come full circle and do Gen, too?” Lexi said sarcastically before laughing.
“Can I watch?” Lexi smacked his arm. “How would you feel about a nice long hot shower?” Jared nuzzled her nose with his.
“Depends, are you joining?” She lifted her head and kissed him.
“Absolutely.” Jared lifted her around his waist and didn’t set her back down until they were in his bathroom.
They stayed in that bedroom for the rest of the night. The clock was creeping close to eleven pm and they were still tangled together in bed. Jared was pressed against her from behind, one hand gripping her hip tightly his opposite arm wrapped around her shoulders, his knees holding her thighs apart as he slid in and out of her at a torturously slow pace. Lexi gripped his arm with one hand and slid the other behind his neck pulling his chestnut locks.
"Jared, please!" Lexi panted.
"God, you feel so good." He nipped at her neck thrusting just as slowly as before. "I've missed you so much. I missed being inside you."
Jared was dragging out making her orgasm this time. They've been going at it for roughly six hours now and he was making sure she was thoroughly pleased. Jared loved this feeling. Not just the feeling of being buried to the hilt deep inside of Lexi. His cock encased in her hot, wet passage squeezing tightly around his rock hard erection with Jared pulsing ready to milk him for all he has. It was her beneath him, wiggling and moving from near constant bliss. Bliss from Jared loving her in every way he could.
"Jared." Lexi whined, dropping her head back on his shoulder.
Jared smiled dragging his cock over her g-spot making Lexi buck her hips back against him. "Tell me what you want." Jared spoke in a low graveled voice as he dragged his cck through her pussy again.
"Fuck me." Jared picked up speed a little. "Fuck, Jared, more."
Jared pulled out and pushed her onto her back climbing back on top of her. He slid back inside of her feeling her pulse around him. He hitched her leg around his hip and grabbed her hands, pushing them over her head. "You sure that's what you want, babygirl?" His voice is sultry and deep almost teasing as he stayed still inside her.
"Yes." She breathed out. "I need you, Jared."
Lexi locked her feet around Jared's legs as he began thrusting deep inside of her. Lexi started feeling that familiar build up, the coil tighten inside of her like it did many times before that night. Jared's knees digging into the bed, his balls tightening as he sped up even more. Lexi moved with Jared neither of them letting up the more that familiar feeling built. Jared let go of a hand placing his hand on her cheek, leaning his forehead on hers. Her eyes were shut, her brow was pulled together and her mouth slightly fell open in pleasure.
"Babygirl," Jared breathed and her eyes fluttered open. He stared down at her in adoration. "I love you." His hips jerked and stuttered as his orgasm hit him. "Fuck!" He moaned snapping his hips forward harshly forehead dropping down to hers.
ÀLexi's hands fell to his back gripping with white finger tips, her orgasm taking her suddenly. She arched into him, her nails raising welts where the dug into his flesh. Jared didn't still his hips till they were both a shaking, breathless mess.
Jared laid there with his head tucked between her neck and shoulder. They were coming off their high, breath finally slowing. Lexi gently slid her fingers through his sweat dampened hair, she could feel his heart pounding in his chest.
“Jared,” She breathed in an even tone. He lifted his head resting his chin on her chest. “I love you.”
Jared’s eyes were dreamy and blissed out. “I love you, too.” He saw a look in her eyes that was different. Different from the usual love filled gaze she had after making love. “You alright?” He pushed himself up on an elbow to better face her. “You look like you have something on your mind.”
“I- uh- I kind of do.” She pushed herself up into a sitting position. “You know how much I love you and the kids.”
“Yeah.”
I’ve been thinking a- a lot over the past few months and-and things have been going great. Not just with us but with the kids and we have a routine going-” Lexi was rambling as she moved to the sode of the bed and pulled on her panties and t-shirt.
“Lexi, what are you getting at?” Jared asked bluntly slipping his boxers on.
“I want to marry you.” The words flew out of her mouth almost like a single word.
“You what?” Jared was unsure if he heard her correctly.
“I want to marry you.”
“We will. We had that conversation a couple of months ago-”
“No, I mean I want to get married.” She stated more sternly.
“Like-like now?” Jared gestured with a hand. “As in-in the very near future?”
“Yes.” She nodded with a smile.
Jared gave a chuckle leaning in pressing his lips to hers. “I would love that.” He smiled into another kiss before pulling away. “But, we can’t.” He looked away scared to meet her eyes.
“You said someday, why can’t someday be soon?”
Jared looked up to her seeing the disappointment in her eyes. “I want to say yes. There is literally nothing I want more to to make you my wife.” He reached to take her hand. “But I can’t right now.”
Lexi looked at Jared with confusion. “You said when I was ready and I am.”
“Lex, we just got back together-”
“And you know as well as I do how much we love each other.”
“I do know.” He told her seeing how upset she was getting. “Lex, it’s not that I have doubts or anything, I-I,” He ran a frustrated hand over his face. “Damn it. I promised Jensen, okay.” Jared turned away in frustration.
“You what?”
“I didn’t tell you because you would get mad.” He stood with his hands on his hips, back still facing her.
“When did this happen?”
“Few weeks ago when you left for LA.” He turned looking at her. “We were kind of drunk and we were talking about you and us.”
“That seems to be a highly popular topic with you two.” Lexi commented with annoyance.
“He asked me not to marry you til after you were at least twenty two. That it would ease his mind in knowing you are where you want to be in life and you’re not rushing things.”
“And you agreed.” She stated.
“Yeah.”
“Well,” She nodded. “Thanks for making that decision for me.” Lexi said calmly, crossing her arms over herself.
“I know I’m gonna love you just as much in two years as I do right now. I also know that there is nothing that I wouldn’t do to keep you. That’s why I agreed. Because I know we will still be in love then just like we are now.”
Lexi stood walking over to Jared. “Any other agreements you made with my brother about my life that I should be aware of?” Jared avoided her eyes again letting her know that there was. “What else did you two agree on?”
Jared took a breath. “I- I told him I wouldn’t get you pregnant till after we got married.”
“How much did you two drink that night?” She spat out.
Jared looked at her confused. “What?”
“The night this conversation went on, how much had you two drank?”
“A-a lot.” He stammered out and Lexi started laughing letting her arms drop, shakng her head as she turned walking out of the room. Jared took a breath, slipped on his jeans and followed her into the kitchen. “Lex?” She looked at him from the kettle she was filling. “Are you-”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” SHe waved her hand placing the kettle on the stove.
“Are you sure you’re not mad?” He shoved his hands in his pockets.
“No.” She placed her cup down and walked up to Jared. “Look, I get where Jensen is coming from, I really do. He doesn’t want me to rush my life and he wants me to enjoy it as it happens. So, no. I’m not mad.” She rested her arms on his shoulders. “And you, you just want to do what's right by me in every way possible. So, I get why you agreed.” Jared placed his hands on her waist. “But let me make one thing clear.” She looked deep into Jared’s eyes. “I will do what I want to do when I want to do it. Always have, always will. No matter what Jensen or you say or have agreed to. Got it?”
Jared bit his bottom lip. “I love it when you get bossy.”
She kissed his lips. “Don’t change the subject.”
“I got it.” He nodded in understanding.
“Good.” She kissed him again. “So how about the day after my twenty second birthday?”
Jared gave a laugh. “You really want to marry me don't you?”
Lexi nodded before kissing him again. “I want to marry you, and then I want to give the kids a baby brother or sister. Maybe two.”
“Oh really now?” Jared looked at her in surprise.
“Uh huh.” She hopped up on the counter.
“That would be five kids.”
“You’re right. Let's have three to we can get an even number.”
“Now you’re talking!” He pointed a finger grabbing a a box of tea bags and cup for himself from the cabinet. “Where are we gonna put all these kids?”
“We’ll get a bigger house, duh!” She told him reaching to put the tea bag into her cup. “And a huge yard with a pool and a space to grill. Maybe on a few acres so we can have more dogs and we can let them run around.”
“So, a huge piece of land, a bigger house, more kids, more dogs and basically chaos all around.”
“Yep!” She nodded with a smile.
“And you want all this with me?”
“Mhm.”
Jared leaned in close with his forehead on hers. “Sounds like an amazing plan.”
“I’ll wait as long as you want. Just as long as it’s you in the end.” Lexi looked up into his eyes. “As long as it’s you waiting for me at the altar one day I’ll wait.”
“I promise I won’t keep you waiting long.” He told her kissing her.
~
Eight weeks later.
They were back in Austin after having spent two weeks in Vancouver while Jared and Jensen were filming. Lexi had doubled up taking a job filling on for one of the hair and makeup ladies while she was on maternity leave.
The store she was heading was finishing and she barely had to do anything other than give the okay on certain things via e-mail. She agreed to the job as soon as she was asked. Now she and Jared has the chance to spend time together during filming.
“Hey Punk, where’s your boy toy?” Jensen asked walking into the kitchen at Jared and Lexi’s house.
“He is outback with the kids.” She answered, placing a bag on the counter. “I think they are building a play area thingy.”
“A play area thingy?” Jensen eyed her.
“You know what I mean.” She laughed.
“Got anything good?” Jensen tried to peep into the bag.
“Oh, uh” She said suddenly grabbing for the bag.
Jensen moved the bag away playfully.”What’s in here?” He grinned at his sister. Lexi reached for the bag from her much taller brother. Jensen turned his back to Lexi and looked into the little brown paper bag. His smile faded. “What’s this?” He held the small box in his hand then looked at Lexi. “Are you- are you pregnant?” His tone was low and obviously upset.
Lexi snatched the box from Jensen’s hand and shoved it back in the bag. “This is not your business.”
“Yes, it is. You’re twenty!” Jensen’s voice may have been low but the anger was still clear.
“That stupid deal you made was with Jared, not me!”
“So you got pregnant on purpose?!”
“No!” SHe looked at him appaled by his accusation. “I’m not stupid!” Lexi snapped spinning around bracing herself on the counter.
“Then what the hell, Lexi?!”
“Jared doesn’t even know.” Her voice calmed.
“What?” Jensen grabbed her arm turning her to face him. “What do you mean he doesn’t know?”
Swiping a hand across her forehead Lexi looked at Jensen. “It was when I was in LA.”
“In LA? What did you cheat on Jared?!”
“No!” Lexi snapped again. “I would never cheat on Jared you idiot!” Lexi huffed. “I was so busy in LA that the last week I was there I forgot to take like two or three of my birth control pills.” She looked at Jensen. “When we got back to Austin we-”
“I get it.” Jensen held up a hand. “Didn’t you use a condom?”
“I didn’t realize I’d skipped till the day after I got back. After we’d spent the night... I didn’t want to freak Jared out because of that stupid promise so I just hurried and got the morning after pill the next morning.” Lexi took another deep breath. “He takes his promises with you to heart.” Jensen rubbed his forehead in irritation. “Look, this is between him and me okay?”
“Lex, you’re a kid.” Jensen tried to reason.
“No!” She pointed a finger at him. “I am an adult. I made a mistake as an adult. I will deal with this with my boyfriend because it’s our problem. Jared and I, we will make that decision together.”
“When did you become so independent?” Jensen looked at her.
“I blame it on my brother.” Lexi smiled up at him. “Just don’t say anything to Jared yet. Please.”
“You want me to lie to him?” Jensen gestured towards the backyard. “He’s my best friend, Lex.”
“And I’m your sister.” She eyes him intensely.
“Jay, hey!” Jared’s voice sounded from the back double doors.
“Hey man.” Jensen answered pushing the brown bag out of sight.
Later in the backyard Jensen and Jared sat back sipping beer while the kids ran around. Jensen hadn’t said anything to Jared about their conversations earlier which Lexi was glad for. She knew Jensen didn’t like keeping anything from his bestfriend. But, she needed to figure this out before she let the cat out of the bag. She needed to accept it herself before she could ecpect Jared to.
“Want another beer?” Jared asked Jensen standing.
“Yeah.”
“Lex, you want one?” Jared pointed to her.
“No. I’ll pass.” She said casually.
“Probably a good idea with how your stomach has been the last few days.” Jared commented.
“Upset stomach?” Jensen looked at Lexi.
“Yeah, she’d been having an uneasy stomach for a few days now. Puked a few times, too. I think it's that bug going around.” Jared assured before walking into the house.
When Jared was out of earshot Jensen looked at Lexi. “How late are you?”
“Two months.”
“Two months late, upset stomach, puking,” Jensen counted off on his fingers.
“Why do you think I got the test?”
“How has he not put this together himself?”
“Because he doesn’t know I’m two months late.”
Jensen simply shook his head then Jared walked back out and it was like their current conversation didn’t happen.
That evening after Jensen left and Jared gathered the kids to bring them to Genevieve’s Lexi stood in her and Jared’s bathroom leaning on the counter waiting for the timer on her phone to go off.
BEEP
BEEP
BEEP
Lexi tapped her phone alarm off and grabbed the pregnancy test from the counter, her eyes zoning in on that tiny result window.
“Fuck.”

I wrote a drabble for the Cockles anniversary! Please feel free to leave kudos on my ao3 if you liked it.
“Jensen,” Misha sighs, “where are you taking me?” There is a clear smile in his voice, a joy that won’t leave.
Jensen is smiling, too. His cheeks hurt from it and his face may be stuck in the position, but he’s okay with that. He’s been smiling since he woke up that morning, his beautiful husband in bed beside him. “Just wait, Mish,” he says. “Can’t give away the whole plan, can I?”
And Misha just chuckles, letting himself get comfortable as they roll down the road.
Misha almost cries when Jensen takes off the blindfold. He can feel tears swimming in his eyes and his heart swells. He tries to say something, anything to show to Jensen just how much this means to him, but all the words get stuck in his throat. So Misha instead settles for grabbing Jensen and kissing him, deep and tender, full of all the words he can’t bring himself to say.
Jensen blushes, rubbing at the back of his neck. “Surprise,” he says.
Misha wipes the tears from his eyes, and he suddenly feels ten years younger. Jensen grabs his hand and drags him inside the bar.
The bar is dimly lit, quiet conversation throughout it. It smells of alcohol and wood, and it holds so many memories in it. Jensen just sends a look at one of the workers before he goes straight to a table with a small “reserved” sign on it. There’s already candles and wine on the table, and Misha laughs again. “You had this all planned out?” he asks.
Jensen slides into a seat, grinning. “Wanted to make our ten-year anniversary special,” he explains. “C’mon. Sit.” Misha has barely pulled the seat out before Jensen calls a waitress over. “Hey, can we get the three least ordered items on the menu?”
Misha shakes his head. “You idiot,” he mumbles once the waitress walks away, looking very confused.
Jensen shrugs. “You love it.”
“I’ve loved it for ten years.” And Misha can’t help but lean over the table and kiss him. “How’d you even remember all of this, Jen?” Misha asks as he pulls away. “I mean, it’s the same bar, same table, same order. All of it.”
“It wasn’t that difficult,” Jensen tells him. “It was the day I fell in love. Kinda difficult to forget.” Then, Jensen pulls his phone out excitedly. “And this.” He shows Misha a picture of the two of them. Misha recognizes it almost instantly.
“How’d you find this?” Misha asks, taking the phone into his own hand. He handled it like it was precious, full of the secrets of the universe. And maybe it was.
“I saved it. Or - Danneel saved it, really. Not too good at tech stuff, but - but I wanted to have that memory forever.”
“God, you sap,” is all Misha says in response. Once again he finds himself on the verge of tears, and this time he can’t hold it all back. A tear runs down his face and he smiles, somehow, wider than before.
Jensen leans over the table and wipes away the tear. “Well, if you want sappy, I was thinking - I was thinking we could, you know, recreate the photo.” Almost immediately after proposing the idea, Jensen shakes his head. “It’s - It’s stupid, sorry.”
“No, no,” Misha quickly reassures him. He grabs Jensen’s hands and stares intently at the man he loves. “I think it’s a great idea.”
Jensen sighs. “What did I do to deserve you?”
“I should be the one asking that. This - This is beautiful, Jensen. Really.”
Jensen finally meets Misha’s eyes, and Jensen really does wonder what he did to deserve this beautiful man. This man who has one of a kind ocean deep eyes, raven dark hair that constantly makes it look like he just came back from a quickie, a laugh that is so true and so genuine that you can’t help but laugh yourself - this man who is virtually perfect in every way possible. And he is Jensen’s.
The two quickly try to mimic the positions they were in on the night of their first date and Jensen takes the photo. Before they even have a chance to look at it, Misha immediately lets his lips press against Jensen’s again. “This is the best night ever,” he mutters against his lips.
“It’s far from over, Mish.” Jensen pulls up the photo on his phone and smiles. “God. Ten years, baby. Ten fucking years.”
Misha chuckles. “I would say it feels like yesterday that we went on our first date, but it really feels like that was hundreds of years ago. But I’ve loved every second of it.”
Jensen nods, but it’s clear his mind is somewhere else as he looks at his phone. There’s a devilish smile that crosses his lips, and Misha is almost afraid to ask why. Jensen finally says, “I’m gonna post it.”
Had Misha been drinking something, he certainly would’ve spit it out at that. “What?” he asks, and he can’t help the laugh that is creeping up inside him.
“The picture. I’m gonna post it.”
“Do you want the fans to know we’re fucking?”
“At least they’ll know I love you.”
“The fans will combust!”
“You’ll combust,” Jensen shoots back weakly, unable to come up with anything better as his words dissolve into laughter.
After some quick work, Jensen made a little collage of the two photos side by side. He posted it on Instagram, the caption saying “10 years. Same bar. Same table. Same company. Same good time.”
Misha looked at the post as soon as it was up. “You might have well just captioned it ‘Happy anniversary baby,’” he jokes.
“Oh, shut up.” Jensen puts his phone down, knowing the fans will quickly see the post and immediately start screaming. “But - happy anniversary, baby.”
Misha shakes his head fondly. “This is why I love you. More than anything in the world, I love you.”
“Who’s the sap now?” Jensen asks, laughing.

The Padackles Link-Chapter 52
A/N: Sorry this has taken so long to be updated. Hopefully now I am back on track and can update more regularly.
IN DALLAS
Jensen woke up and slowly opened his eyes. He glanced around at the room he was in; the guest room of his parents’ home. When he had packed up and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, his mom had turned his old room into a crafts room. A place where she could go to get some quiet time and do what she enjoyed, creating little trinkets and keepsakes that she gives out to family and close friends as gifts.
He sat up in bed and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He knew he had fucked up yesterday and last night, going off on Drea and ultimately leaving without much of an explanation. He knew that even though he had finally answered the phone when Jared called and had asked him to explain to Drea where he was headed it wasn’t the best recourse but by the time he had calmed down and realized his mistake, he was already halfway to Dallas.
Jensen just hoped he hadn’t ruined what he and Drea had, that she would let him justify himself and forgive him. He also knew he wasn’t above begging.
A knock brought him out of his thoughts and his dad, Alan, stuck his head through the door.
“Morning son. Your mother wants to know if you’ll be staying for breakfast?”
“Morning dad,” Jensen rasped, his voice gruff from sleep. “Tell Mom I’ll be down in 10.”
Alan nodded and turned to leave. But then he stopped and looked back at his grown son.
“Listen Jen. I know you are an adult and probably don’t think you need advice from an old man like me but I’m going to give it to you anyway.”
Jensen smiled at his dad. He actually would like to get some guidance and opinion from his dad. He looked up to the man, always had. Alan Ackles was what he intended to become. A loving, hard-working man who took care of his family’s wants and needs. So any help his dad was willing to dole out Jensen would take to heart.
“Now I don’t know why you showed up at our doorstep at bedtime last night but I have a feeling it has something to do with what happened at the party yesterday,” Alan paused long enough for his son to answer. When Jensen nodded he continued. “I know seeing your ex-wife with someone new, someone that isn’t you had to be…unsettling but you can’t let it ruin the other relationships in your life. You’ve moved on and you cannot expect Danneel not to.
"So whatever you are feeling, suck it up son. You and Drea seem to be getting along and you do not want to destroy that.”
Nodding, Alan shut the door gently, giving Jensen time to reflect on his words. Jensen knew his dad was right. He couldn’t really be upset about Danneel moving on; and he really wasn’t. Not like everyone thought, at least. It was more of whom she moved on with. Dr. Josh Daniel’s, Drea’s ex. He didn’t know the whole story behind their breakup because he had never asked, but to know that Drea had given him her time and affection and he just threw it away like yesterday’s garbage didn’t sit right with Jensen. He knew firsthand just how loving and caring Drea was and he couldn’t imagine tossing it aside. Drea Murphy was the most respectful, most kind, supportive woman Jensen had ever known. She reminded him of his mother with her encouragement and loyalty.
Running a hand over his head, Jensen got out of bed to go downstairs to visit with the woman who he admired the most, Donna Ackles.
IN AUSTIN
6:45. Jackson begins his whimpering and I knew by the time I made it to his room, it would be a full on wail like it is every morning. I sit up and swing my legs over the edge of the bed and by the time my hand touches the doorknob, the first loud cry sounds through the monitor.
“I’m on my way baby,” I mutter as I tread to his room. “Hey mister. It’s okay. Mommy’s here. Is my big man hungry?” I coo to my son as I pick him and lay him onto the changing table to switch the soiled diaper with a clean and dry one. Jackson lays there, watching me, his fussing down to just sniffles.
Gen is already in the kitchen, pouring coffee when I walk in carrying Jackson. “Good morning. Did we wake you?”
Gen smiles as she takes a sip of the scalding brew. “Nah, my internal clock wakes me up at 6 every morning. Guess it’s from all those years of getting up early for soccer practice and now with the boys, they hardly ever sleep past 7.”
“Even now?” I ask, astonished. I had been hoping that as Jackson got older he would begin sleeping longer. And both Gen’s boys were older than him so it wasn’t looking promising.
“Yea. Welcome to motherhood. It’s great!” She chuckled. “No seriously though, I love the time I get to spend with my kids teaching them things and watching them learn. And if that means I lose a few hours of sleep, then I’m not complaining. I can sleep when I’m dead and buried.”
I looked down at Jackson as he ate, staring back at me and took in her words. She was right. If I got to watch this precious little baby grow up and teach him right from wrong, a few lost hours of sleep was nothing.
*GEN’S POV*
Drea was an excellent mother. Not once had she shirked her duties as Jackson’s parent. It made me even more hopeful of the idea I’d had. Now if Jared was receptive of it. He was wary of it when we spoke last night but I knew I could get him on board eventually. It was way too soon to bring it up anyway with Drea and Jensen’s current dilemma.
“Did you ever hear from him after I went to bed?” I asked gently, not wanting to make Drea upset.
“No, but Donna did call to tell me he is set up in their guest room,” Drea explained to me. “She just wanted to assure me he was okay."
"That was nice of her,” I said with a smile. “So what are you going to do today? Wanna take the kids to the park or something?” I sip on my cooling coffee as I watch her mull over the idea.
“Yea, I guess that would be good,” she says as she switches Jackson from one side to the other and coax him onto the new breast. “After his nap, we can head over. I can’t stay here and wonder what went wrong. Why he up and left, saying he needed time, can I?”
“No, sweetie. You will just drive yourself crazy,” I soothe. “I’ll go wrangle my guys and then we’ll go let them run off some of that Padalecki energy. And give you a chance to get your mind off things for a while.”
“Yea sounds good.”
*END GEN’S POV*
After Gen left to go back home, I got Jackson changed again and entertained him until he began yawning, signaling that it was time for his mid-morning nap.
Once he was asleep and settled into his crib, I wandered into mine and Jensen’s bedroom to grab my phone. Checking it for messages, I was not surprised to see the notifications were empty. No messages, no missed calls.
I sighed and placed the phone back onto the nightstand and grabbed some clothes to change into after a quick shower.
A day with the Padalecki’s would surely get my mind off of wondering if my relationship with Jensen was over.

Why Padalecki marriage annoys me - non Tinhat perspective
I can safely say that never before has a marriage annoyed me as much as the Padalecki marriage. Even the Ackles’ behavior is reasonable. They don’t kiss and make out public because Jensen is not an exhibitionist sort. I have never respect PDAs. In my opinion, it is inappropriate. But remember, I am not a tinhat so you can draw your own conclusions about why the Ackles don’t “display” their love in public. There is nothing wrong with theorizing.
Genevieve, and Jared [when he is in husband mode] just irritate me. They oversell it. In the beginning, I thought she was so lucky to have a husband like him. He is so beautiful. He’s so sensitive. He earns well. He is respected in his field. Plus he cried on their wedding day. How beautiful is that? For years afterwards, he would gush over her during his panels. At first, I smirked, then I became poker faced, then I became mildly annoyed and then one day [I even remember the panel] it just got too noticeably exhibitionist. It was the last question. Timothy Omundson was called on stage, pretending to be the last question. And he comically fangirled uncontrollably before perching himself on the designated chair. His question was “who is your favourite guest star, and why is it Timothy Omundsom?’‘ It was a funny question, and Jensen went with it, saying that he was a fan of Omundson’s beard, which caused Robbie to throw a faux hissy fit because he had a beard too, darn it. But Jensen pointed out that his beard was pathetic because it was short and he couldn’t braid it. After the laugh fest, Jared gave his answer: ’'My favorite guest star is Gen, because she’s my wife and the mother of my children”.
For some reason, that is pissed me right off. It was a funny question. It didn’t warrant a serious, gushy husband reply. Some witless creature made a mistake of pointing this out, in the comment section. The entire page converged on her. Even people who had initially agreed with her, backtracked. I felt angry at this fandom's self-censoring. I realized she was over loved, not because of any personal merit, but because she married Jared. They were calling her a queen. Seriously? A queen. For what? So I went on the internet to see if I was the only weird person who couldn’t detect her monarchical merits.
That was last year-ish. How do you think I stumbled onto tinhats. I like most hats because it seems they don't conform to the politically correct norm of ’'treat the wives like gold’’. And they don’t ask tinhat questions during panels. Unlike the leeches who love destiel and Misha Collins. Jared was becoming too extra when it came to Genevieve. And I noticed he inserted an obligatory Gen mention at least once, in every single panel. Even after seven years, he was far too “in love”. And eventually, instead of being happy for their happiness, I started feel like they were rubbing their domestic bliss in everyone’s face. “look at what we’ve got, nyah nyah nyah.’' My polite and genuine [but not over the top] respect for their marriage dissipated.
You know who he reminded me off. He reminded me of Tom Cruise when he was a guest on Oprah and was over pushing the epic love he had for Katie Holmes, jumping on the couch and fist pumping the air. That incident, I found humorous and embarrassing. This was plain irritating. I noticed he’s slowed down now. The unnecessary wife mentions sometimes don’t even make an appearance, for which I am thankful. I wonder why though. Unless he is telling a story that she is a part of, like the Highway story, he doesn’t mention her anymore. My non tinhat guess is that he was aware that fans were getting pissed off, especially since, he had mentioned something about her in a panel recently [I don’t remember which one], and someone in the front row said: We know!
Another thing I don’t like about this relationship is Genevieve intruding on fan space. If people are paying bucket loads to see their favorite actor, unless they specifically ask for a guest appearance by the actor’s wife, don’t intrude. Once, Genevieve appeared on stage, during a J2 panel, to contribute something unnecessary to the story they were recounting. I think it was the highway story. Then she made sure she kissed him before leaving, while the crowd watched. Why? She added nothing fresh to the story, and couldn’t she wait to leave the stage, to kiss her husband. She isn’t paying to see her husband. The fans are. Don’t take that precious time away from them.
And I noticed, she usually sits at the side of the stage, overseeing the whole exchange. As far as I know, Danneel hasn’t done that yet. Why the need to loom over the proceedings? Does she love to hear him talk? That reminds me of the livestream they did, where he was talking and she mouthed ’'blah blah blah’' while making a mocking hand gesture, because apparently he was talking too much. So obviously Jared’s yammering doesn’t entertain her.
Then at Jib, she got to join the panel. I didn’t fault her for attending because apparently the previous year, he had gotten sick and didn’t make the con. I assumed she was there for moral support. I am a non hatter so that is my analysis. You cant of course, explain your perspective. But that doesn’t mean she needs to be on stage. For what? Its not like she did something spectacular whilst there. Rob, Rich and Jared had to take over the discussion because she was so dull. Eventually even Jensen joined in, revved the crowd up even further, and left. One of her fan girls complained that the boys ’'didn’t even let her speak”. Thank goodness they didn’t.
She is inserting herself between Jared and the fan, and now people are forced to be enthusiastic about her. Its so unfair. It almost seems like Genevieve wants shared custody of the fans. That is not how fame works. You earn it. You don’t inherit it. I started to get more and more annoyed with being forced, [by all of fandom, I thought] to go crazy over some woman, I could care less for. She wasn’t impressive as fake Ruby. And I was not the only one who thought so. Cassidy was a bland actor, in my humble opinion. Genevieve was worse.
The only reason she didn’t fade into oblivion, like all the other female actors, is because she married Jared. There was a blog called anti-Genevieve on Tumblr, that received a lawyers letter to cease and desist, because of defamation of character. Its her right to safeguard her reputation, so no problem there, especially if the blog is over malicious without proof or facts. I did visit the site. But I don’t remember seeing anything horrible other than her being called a beard. But it has been a while so maybe I just forgot.
However, there is another blog called Supernatural Snark. Almost the entire blog bashes Jared for everything that comes out of his mouth. One day, an ask about Jensen’s weird behavior at Jibcon, illicited an odd response from the blogger. The asker said that Jensen’s breakdown was Misha, Jared and the destiheller’s fault because Misha queerbaits his fans, Jared teases destiel and the fans abused Jensen on Twitter after Jaxcon. She said Jensen was trying to pacify the fans. The blogger said that it didn’t make sense for Jensen to wait six months to pacify the fans. Then she disabled the comment so the asker couldn’t respond. Of course, even I know he waited six months, because he shares no other panel with Misha. That’s when I realized that Supernatural Snark is a heller blog.
How come Genevieve doesn’t send a cease and desist lawyer’s letter to this witch. I think I know why. She only looked for anti stuff about herself on the net and that’s how she found this page. If she was looking for anti Jared blogs, she would have found Supernatural Snark. The Minute Maid commercial and her words in it were a little incentive. She said she was making so many sacrifices. Well missy, bundle up your babies and buzz off to Vancouver. You husband is not gone off to war. You are sacrificing nothing.
She doesn’t seem to care for him. She doesn’t care about his campaign. She never tags AFK for anything. She tags Random Acts, though. The thing that makes my blood boil, on a personal level, is that she claims that she also suffers from depression. As a bipolar sufferer myself, the one trend I noticed is that when people are impatient with me, and I point out that I have bipolar disorder, they quickly say that they also suffer from depression, so they don’t look bad. Since when does she have depression. Because if she did, she wouldn’t ignore her husband’s campaign that is supposed to help people like her. Is she sharing in her husband’s sympathy the same way she is sharing his fame?
She has diehard fans on Instagram. One of them is Ivana. Ivana gushily asked Genevieve to sign her name so that Ivana could have it tattooed. I was surprised. When did Gen become a rockstar? Then I realized that Ivana has her own SM page where she says she is ITK and best buds with Genevieve. So she knows that Jared abuses his wife and neglects his children. Ivana is a heller. Her best friend Lua James [@Poptivist on Twitter], led a smear campaign against J2 for the Nolacon joke. Her followers are the ones that made this problem reach MSM. And J2 had to apologize, publicly, for nothing. That is ok, because what Lua and gang were initially hoping for was for separates for the boys' panels, so that Jared wouldn’t be near Jensen. Genevieve is making herself the whip with which hellers can beat Jared.
And both Ivana and Lua cornered Danneel at one con to tell her how everyone hated her, except them. That was their snide contribution to tinhat hate. Danneel signed Poptivist’s SPN magazine, with the caption: “He is mine, bitches”… something inappropriate like that. Danneel was wrong for writing that. I noticed she fights with Jensen’s fans a lot. Ungracious. Lua is so toxic that she needs a guard at the cons, supplied by Creation to keep an eye on her. WTF!!! I always wondered why she wasn’t just excluded, but I think it’s because she is friends with a Creation staff member who also happens to be Misha’s relative. And because she is a Misha fan girl, she gets to stay.
That’s why Misha’s face appears on the main posters with J2, despite him not being a lead. Because he is related to staff. The wives have no fans, but I think Genevieve’s ego is in denial. Her intellect isn’t, which is why Jared’s appears in her vlogs. He is the deal sealer for her. One day this pompousness is going to backfire on Gen. I hope she figures that out one day.
APOLOGIES FOR ANOTHER LONG POST. I HOPE YOU DONT MIND.
Thank you for your submission, I’ve always wondered what non-hats make of the OTT parade and the wife stanning.

Trust in me - Chapter 17
True Colors
“Can we say that I’m your boyfriend?” Jared asked, kicking his legs up onto the dashboard.
“What? No!” Jensen yelled, “And get your feet off my car.”
“Alright grandpa, calm down. I’m just trying to help.”
“Not sure that introducing a what? Sixteen year old? As my boyfriend would be wise. Fuck, I don’t even know how old you are.”
“Sixteen.”
Jensen turned his attention away from the road, focusing on Jared instead. He didn’t expect Jared to give him any personal information, let alone his real age, and he couldn’t help but smile at the fact that he was winning over Jared’s trust again.
“Sixteen. Can you imagine if I introduced you as my boyfriend? I’m nineteen years old older than you!”
“That’s not a lot. Old couples always have like, a twenty-year gap between them and no one finds it weird!”
“Yeah but this is different. You’re a kid”
“I haven't been a kid in a long time,” Jared admitted, “It’s… I just want to say that I know what I want. I’m not stupid, or innocent. I know what life is - real life.”
“I know,” Jensen said, “I think you know that better than most people. But it doesn’t mean that you have to be an adult all the time.” He turned his head to face Jared, and he wasn’t surprised to see a soft smile on Jared’s face.
He understood Jared. Or he tried to anyway, but the thing was that he knew what it was like to be a grown up before you were supposed to, how hard it could be to find your place in the world when your childhood was ripped away from you. It’s a tough place to be in the middle; it’s another way to feel like an outsider.
“It’s because I’m prettier than you, isn’t it?” Jared asked, “Like, they won’t believe you could actually get someone like me.”
“Shit, you got me there,” Jensen said, pretending to be shocked.
Jared laughed, his happiness filling the car like a wave of warmth spreading throughout the air, and even though Jensen didn’t find the situation that funny, he quickly joined Jared, laughing until there were tears in his eyes.
“So? What do we tell them?” Jared asked once he calmed down, “Because I don’t think they would buy the whole ‘We’re friends’ excuse.”
“Yeah, don’t think so either,” Jensen sighed, “I don’t know what we should tell them. Nothing will satisfy them anyway.”
“Maybe we can tell the truth? I mean, not the entire truth, but part of it?”
“What are you thinking?”
“Well, we can say that I’m a troubled teenager that doesn’t have any family, and that we… We bonded, a little, so you offered me to stay with you until we could find a new home for me? Or is that still weird?”
“It’s weird but it could work. And even if it doesn’t, well, screw them. What are they gonna do? Tell us to go? I doubt it.”
“Well, glad to see I’m not the only one with a shitty relationship with my family.” Jared laughed.
A hint of guilt made Jensen frown. Here he was, complaining about his family while Jared had to live worse than that, worse than Jensen could ever imagine. He doesn’t like his family, and they don’t like him either, except for Shawn, but it’s nothing compared to what Jared had to endure.
“I shouldn’t be complaining. I’m sorry.”
“It’s not because I had it harder than you that you can’t complain too,” Jared said, “It’s not a contest of who had the worst experience or the worst life. Maybe we suffered in different ways, but it ended up with the same result; we’re both broken as fuck.”
Jared laughed again, but this time, Jensen was too caught up in admiring him to join in. He wondered how this kid could be the same boy that he had met months ago now; how the arrogant little brat had turned into such a lovable boy.
He doesn’t think the brat personality was just an act. It was a part of Jared’s personality, he just accentuated it in order to protect himself. Jensen wouldn’t want it any other way because he liked the Jared that could tell him to go fuck himself as much as the Jared that was sitting next to him.
Maybe that was his mistake. Thinking that people could only have one side to themselves, that everyone was black and white. He sees now that people are in shades of grey, and that nothing is ever as clear as he thought it might be. That ultimately, they were all the same, without exceptions. But Jared wasn’t stuck in a shade of white, shade of black, and he wasn’t grey either: he was a profusion of color - a rainbow come to life. Jared was a plethora of color wrapped in an enigma and topped off with a sense of humor.
“Do I have something on my face?” Jared asked.
“What?”
“You’re looking at me weird. Do I have something on my face?”
“No, I just-“ He wished he could tell Jared. Could tell him how much more colorful his life was now that he was a part of it, how precious Jared was, and how sorry he was not to have trusted in him earlier. But he couldn’t.
“I was imagining my mom’s reaction if I told her you were my boyfriend.”
“How would she react?” Jared asked, curiosity peaking.
“She would have an heart attack. Can you imagine? Her 35 years old straight son showing up with a sixteen year old boy? We would have to bury her right away.”
“You’re straight?” Jared exclaimed.
“Yeah, why?”
“I thought you were bi.”
“Guess you were wrong.”
“Have you ever tried it? With a guy I mean?”
“No,” Jensen admitted, “I never wanted to.”
“Well, you should.”
Jared winked in his direction before laughing, propping his feet on the dashboard again. Jensen shook his head, but chose to remain silent.
“Have you tried it with a girl?” Jensen asked, a bit curious.
“Yeah. She was my best friend, and one day she asked me if I wanted to try it and I said yes.”
“You say that like it’s totally normal,” Jensen laughed, “You do know that best friends don’t usually have sex with each other, right?”
“Yes they do!” Jared said, “But anyway. We tried and I couldn’t… You know, get it up.”
“How did she react?”
“We laughed it off and promised each other to never try it again.”
There was something in Jared’s voice that Jensen couldn’t quite place, something between happiness and sadness.
“Where is she now?” He asked, eyes focused on the road.
“I don’t know. She… Ventimiglia offered her a shit ton of money and she took it.”
“Money? In exchange of what?”
“Me,” Jared said, almost inaudibly “I- Ventimiglia pushed me a little too far one day, and I refused to see him after that. But h-he came to her, and she gave him the keys to my apartment. I never saw her again after that.” He paused, trying to compose himself, before continuing.
“She just had a baby, so I don’t blame her. At least her kid is gonna have a good life.”
Jensen doesn’t answer right away, trying as hard as he could to shove his anger down, not wanting to scare Jared. But he was burning with rage and incomprehension. How could someone do that? How could you call yourself a friend and then betray someone in the worst way possible? She gave Jared away like he was nothing other than an unwanted object, something to get rid of without a care. She broke him, and didn’t even have the decency to face him afterwords.
And yet, after all that, Jared still defended her, like having a kid meant that you could put someone through something that awful.
“Hey, aren’t we supposed to turn here?” Jared asked, pointing to his right.
“Shit!” Jensen says, braking violently, “Sorry.”
He sighed as his mom's house came into view.
“Here goes nothing,” He sighed, stopping the car in front of his mother’s house, already spotting her judgmental eyes from the window.
They got out of the car, Jared standing a little closer to him then usual, the apprehension of what was to come building inside of him.
“Don’t worry, I won’t leave you alone with them,” Jensen promised, rubbing Jared’s arm.
“I-“
“Jensen!”
Jared jumped in surprise at the scream, turning to see where it came from. Jensen didn’t have to. He would recognize that stringy and annoying voice from anywhere.
“Danneel,” He said, holding onto Jared tightly “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, your mom needed speakers for her radio, so I went to the store to grab some,” She said, her eyes focused on Jared, “Who’s this?”
“I can give them to her. We’re about to leave.” Jensen said, completely disregarding her question.
“Well, duh?” She said, “I know that. I’m coming with you!”
“You’re coming with us?”
"Of course silly!" She shrieked.
And just like that, Jensen regretted his desicion entirely.

Previous Part Series Masterpost Masterlist
This was it. The last day of filming for the summer. You had spent a little over 6 weeks on set and you weren’t ready to go home, it had been so nice being off and with your family in Vancouver. It had taken you about three weeks to get used to Gen and Jared’s relationship, and you we’re actually extremely happy they were together – you had him back, permanently.
You watched Jared and Jensen finished up their last scene, which happened to be them fighting a vampire. You enjoyed seeing them do the scene over and over at different angles with different emotions. Once the director had yelled cut you saw the relief on their faces. They were done for the summer.
“That’s a wrap! Thanks boys, you were great.” The director smiled at them, shaking their hands before they made their way towards you.
“That was amazing!” You squealed as you hugged Jared.
“Thanks, doll. You all packed?” Jared asked you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
You were leaving in a few hours to catch your plane. You were really gonna miss the boys on set, you’d become accustomed to seeing them every day. You sadly clung to Jared’s flannel as they walked you to Gen’s trailer.
“Gen’s packing for me. You know how organised she likes to be.” You laughed, turning your head up to look at him.
“You excited to go home?” Jensen asked you, from your other side.
“Not really,” You pouted, “I wanna see Honey, but I’m gonna miss you two.” You sulked, opening the trailer door.
“Yeah that’s what we wanted to talk to you about.” Jared smirked, making a beeline for Gen and kissing her softly.
“What do you mean?” You asked confused.
“What would you say if we took a family trip?” Jensen asked you, grinning.
“Wait – all of us?” You asked happily.
“And Misha, his wife and Danneel, my girlfriend,” Jensen reassured you.
“Are you serious?” You asked jumping up and down.
“Do I look serious?” He asked you giving you a straight face.
You squealed and hugged all three of them individually. You were so excited: it had been a long time since you’d been on a family vacation. The last one being at your summer cabin in Malibu with your Mom and Jared, almost 5 years ago. You smiled at your memory and snapped out of it.
“Where are we going?” You asked clapping your hands.
“Malibu, I co-owned the cabin, so I got it after your Mom died. I thought it’d be nice.” Jared smiled at you.
You looked back at him in shock. You didn’t think you could go back there. It was your last happy memory of them both together, you didn’t want to replace that memory.
“Yeah that sounds great. I’m gonna call Misha, tell him all about the cabin.” You gave them a tight smile, before you turned around and walked away.
Jensen gave you a weird look as you walked out of the trailer, but you just gave him a small smile. You practically ran to your favourite spot and got out your phone to facetime Misha. As it rang, you bit your lip. You needed him to answer. You needed some agony uncle time.
“Y/N? You okay?” Misha asked as he picked up the phone, extremely sweaty.
“I need some advice, are you busy?” You asked nervously.
“Let me just sit down. I’m on a jog.” He explained, as you saw him slow down and take a seat on a bench in the park, “What’s up buttercup?”
“This family vacation.” You sighed, looking into his understanding eyes. “I’m really excited to spend time with you all, I really am. It’s just- it was ours you know. Mine, my Mom’s and Jared’s. I feel like I’m replacing the memories or something.” You swallowed roughly.
“No matter what, no one can replace your Mom. You can’t replace them memories, it’s just making new ones,” Misha tried to explain to you.
“I just feel like I’m writing over her, you know what I mean?”
“Y/N, you could never write over precious memories. They are embedded into your brain for a reason. How about we do something to honour your Mom while we’re there?” You looked at him intrigued.
“Like what?”
“How about we let off some lanterns? They were your mother’s favourite.” You heard Gen say as she sat next to you.
“How much did you hear?” You grimaced, looking at her.
“All of it. I figured you were upset when you ran off like that. I don’t mind you have these feelings, and none of us want to replace her. If you want to do something else, we can sort something out.” She smiled at you, taking your hand in hers.
“I don’t want to upset you.” You looked down to the ground.
“Y/N, baby.” Gen lifted your chin up, so you were looking into her eyes. “Your feelings about your Mom will never upset me.”
“So that was beautiful,” Misha butted in from over the phone, “But Gen you kinda ruined an agony uncle moment.” He gritted his teeth jokingly.
“I am very sorry Mr Collins.” She gave him a salute, laughing.
You laughed at their antics and looked back towards Misha. You were so glad you had him in your life. He was always there for you when you needed it and always knew what to say to cheer you up.
You were also so glad Gen could talk to you about your Mom and understand your feelings. She was always so conscious about how you felt and how to make you feel better. You thanked your Mother every day she chose Gen to care for you. You didn’t know what you’d do without her – or Misha.
“I guess new memories would be fun to make. As long as we can use the lantern idea.” You smiled at them both.
“Great how many do you want a hundred or...?” Misha trailed off making you laugh.
“Mish,”
“What you don’t think that’s enough?” He sucked his teeth, “200?”
“I think 7 will be fine.” You laughed at him, Gen joining you.
“Maybe some glowsticks to go along with it?” Gen suggested.
“I think she’d like that.” You smiled.
“So, I need to go continue my run, work on my guns.” He flexed his puny arms making you laugh, “See you soon, been missing you, giggles.”
“I’ve missed you too, angel face.” You smiled at him before ending the facetime call.
“As much as I love you have such a good relationship with Misha, and I do. I wish you could tell me the things you tell him so easily. I loved your Mother as a sister, sometimes I feel like she’s being replaced too. And I’m sure Jared feels the same, talk to us.” Gen smiled at you and pulled you in for a hug.
“I know, it’s just easier for me to talk to him or Jensen sometimes you know, a fresh set of eyes. Someone to screw my head back on when I spiral,”
“Alright, just know I’m willing to talk about stuff with you too, okay. I love you bug.”
“I love you too Mom.” You spoke, not regretting a single word.

i will grow close to them. i will walk into their house without knocking and call out "knock knock". jensen will call back. ill follow his voice to where he, danneel, and the kids are hanging out. ill wave myself off and start to back away, "oh, i don't want to interrupt family time." they'll smile at me and brush that thought away. "you are family!" i will spread my affection and adoration evenly amongst them, learn their preferences and secrets. we will be close and one day when i must leave, i will turn as jensen goes to kiss my cheek goodbye and we will not hesitate or pull away. we will kiss like that and, when we break apart, danneel will place herself in front of me. and that kiss will be no accident. when i turn and leave them, their home, i will smile shyly. the sun streaming in through the windows and my cloud print bowling shirt will make me look like an angel.
this will continue and they will see my surprise every time. one day, they will sit on either side of me; we will all sink into their plush and comfortable sofa. danneel's hand will crawl up my thigh as she tells me, "we've done things like this before but they were just sex." she will press her lips together and i will turn to jensen. he will sooth the worry from my eyes, cupping my cheek and running the rough pad of his thumb along my blush. "we don't want this to be just sex." he will lean in and kiss me tenderly, like i am something terribly precious. "what do you think?"
i will nod, taken aback by the earnest beauty in his green eyes. i will turn back to danneel, still nodding, but will ask, "can we take this slow? i-i haven't been with a man in–" she will silence me with an insistent kiss. she will promise me, "we have all the time in the world." we will kiss and touch lazily while we spend the afternoon watching top gun.
we will continue to see each other warmly, beautifully. we will not have sex – im not ready. i will cook in their kitchen and sleep in their bed. i will teach jensen how to grill better. i will take danneel to beautiful art exhibits and she will be dumbfounded by my insights. we will all go on day trips and family vacations, and for months, we will not sleep together. i will change the call date for jensen's next project in his calendar to one day later.
i will look at them from beneath my lashes and smile, always a little shy, as we make dinner. i will tell them, "im ready, but i want it to be…special" they will both agree. i will go on, "ive been thinking about this a lot and i think we should do it the night before you leave for call, jensen."
he will grin and waggle his eyebrows at danneel, "you two gonna give me a special send off?" she will roll her eyes and snort in laughter. i will tell them, "and i think none of us should cum before then."
the two of them will pause at that and exchange that kind of married glance, forgetting they have shared it with me already. finally, they both will nod and danneel will grin brightly, "and anyone who cheats won't get to touch." she will give jensen a look and he will raise his hands in defeat.
we will buzz with excitement and tension for those five days. at the breakfast table, jensen will check his texts and everything will spiral into panic because his call is today, not tomorrow. how could this have happened? we will rush and hurry and disappointment will settle in all of us as our plans are dashed. i will have forgotten what happened, who changed that calendar date, as i have fallen more in love.
he will call us when he lands and he will tell us, "you two have fun without me", a phrase open to interpretation. he will be tired and will think nothing of it. danneel and i will hesitate, we will putter around the house and make sure leftovers are boxed up. i will take out the rubbish and she will start a load of laundry. we will meet at the foot of the bed, jensen not there to cut in with a joke or quip to break the tension.
she will kiss me ravenously, as though she would like us to be one body and will use her tongue and hands to fuse us together. i will tear her apart and fuck her better than she has ever been fucked, until all she can do is beg and plead to the name of her god: me. but her god is not a merciful one.
i will be gone in the morning. i will watch their grief and discomfort unspool through the hidden cameras. i will watch their marriage look, feel empty without myself there. one day, when they feel almost back to normal, i will send danneel a thoughtful gift, a beautiful card with poetry written just for her. i will continue to do this every time they find a sense of normality.
they will tire of my games, my cruel taunting love, and jensen will hunt me down at the condos where he would often drop me off, where we would make out in the car for too long before i could bring myself to leave. he will remember my unit number, of course he will.
an older man will answer the door. when jensen asks for me, the man will look confused. he will tell jensen, "there is no–oh–" he will furrow his brow. "well, there hasn't been. that was my wife's daughter. she passed, in the fire."
jensen will swallow, tears shining in his eyes. one will threaten to fall. "the fire?" he will ask, will need to know.
the older man will nod. "the fire, it's been right about twenty years, on september 13th."
jensen will know this means something, but he will not understand. over the months to follow, he and danneel will reach out for normality and nearly achieve it. i will send another gift, starting the torment again.
