while the stables scene is a great example of percabeth's growth as a couple, particularly regarding their switch of roles in who plans for their future. an even better example is when they first told the other they loved them. annabeth, who is a well-respected strategist due to how well she can plan for the future, tells him as quickly as possible before something or someone could take him away from her again. she seized the first opportunity she had free of plan. percy, on the other hand, who is known for his impulsiveness and reckless planning, tells her two books later. not because he wasn't head over heels the entire hoo series. but because he was planning for the right moment. he wanted to wait until he could give her permanence and stability on a silver platter because he knows how much it means to her.

Hi gang!!!! Jimmy never got to hear his teammates last words. He wasn’t there when scar died, and he couldn’t understand Lizzie because she was a robot. How are we?!!!

Caged Again is doing fine with all the animal shenanigans.

And the animal boys are adorable.

There was only one penguin on that mural, so Junior is the only one who turned human.

We have a zebra, antelope (?), elephant, monkey, snake, and maybe a bird and something in a shell out there with our red penguin and panther.

And apparently Job and Jeng are the monkey and the owl (where the heck is that hiding on the mural?!).

So I think someone's color-coded parents lied to them.

I don't like this, and I'm going to be stressed the entire series.

This show has proven it will kill off characters we haven't even met but who still impact the story.

The Mystery of Chopper Base foreshadowed Ezra's exile.

Ezra's anxieties about Malachor brought him to Zeb. He was headed to a Sith temple with Kanan and Ahsoka, and it was with Zeb that Ezra was able to show his more vulnerable side.

He said it. "I don't know when we'll be back. Or if we'll be back."

And the thing is...the Ezra who came back from Malachor is not the same Ezra.

The new Ezra that came back was traumatized, angry, defeated, grieving, and he blamed himself for just how sideways their mission to Malachor went. This new Ezra started wielding a green lightsaber and came very close to falling to the dark side if Kanan had not been there to pull him back from the edge.

This Ezra came back jaded and vengeful and guilt-ridden after Maul blinded Kanan, and he and Kanan had been forced to leave Ahsoka behind with Vader while the Sith temple collapsed around them.

This Ezra came back with a Maul shaped shadow doing everything possible to make Ezra his new apprentice.

This Ezra survived against Darth Vader for a second time (because someone else was there to save him).

Ezra was already grieving the death of his parents when Malachor happened. Malachor hurt everyone in his family. He brought Kanan back to Hera physically injured and forever changed, and he wasn't able to bring Ahsoka back to Rex at all.

But despite the grief that everyone was experiencing, they persevered. Hera continued on with the mission and Rex spent just as much time pulling Ezra back towards the light as Kanan and Sabine did.

Hera and Kanan's final conversation before Malachor ended up becoming a reality. Kanan regained his vision and was able to look at Hera in his final seconds of life.

Ahsoka and Rex's final conversation was the very first scene in the Twilight of the Apprentice, and it was over Space Facetime. Rex was so nervous about Ahsoka going without him and she had to remind him that she was not alone. Rex is used to mourning his brothers. He's done it thousands of time. He's used to seeing his own face die over and over again. Losing Ahsoka would be different though. She wasn't a clone trooper, but she was still a soldier just like him. She was his best friend, his closest ally, someone he trusted with his life more times than he could care to count. They were each other's sword and shield.

Ezra understands these bonds. It's what his bond with Sabine was becoming.

And all of them (with the exception of Kanan because my boy sacrificed his life to save the people he loved, and Ahsoka because we don't even know when she is, let alone where she is at this point) followed Ezra into battle to take Lothal back from the Empire. They freed Lothal from the grip of Darth Sidious, but Ezra didn't get to see it happen. He was somehow surviving a long ass trip through hyperspace with space whales and a very pissed off Grand Admiral Thrawn.

He spends ten years in exile, alone, on another planet in a distant galaxy with a ship full of stranded Imperials nearby and always ready to kill him, but he still manages to find a new family, traveling with them and protecting them, grieving his loss and becoming more attuned to the Force.

The Ezra that Sabine finds is so much like the Ezra that she first met on Lothal. He doesn't seem to be carrying a heavy burden, but he knows he needs to get back home because Thrawn is a Big Problem, and he's had ten years learning how to outsmart the Imperials and the Nightmothers.

He's returning home with a lightsaber that matches Kanan's and he's about to meet Kanan's son Jacen for the first time.

The empire is toppled now but he and Zeb will have plenty of war stories to trade when they see each other again, especially as the threat of the Empire's return is rising again.

Joshua had travelled to a distant village, one where the dominant of leviathan was said to be spotted.

could it be…? this time…

Joshua only hoped. After all the leads he had followed to no avail, he was growing tired. He was losing hope…but no he couldn’t give up, not ever.

If there was even a tiny chance he could see his love again, he would take it.

He had been searching secretly in the shadows through the village, still he couldn’t find a thing. Finally he had ended up in a secluded spot, somewhere by the shore.

A defeated sigh escaped his lips.

could this be it? would he never find his love again?

“Don’t take another step.”

Your sharp tone caught the man off guard. The side of your sword aligned with his neck.

You weren’t stupid, you had noticed the unfamiliar presence snooping around.

“m-my lady…please-“

The young lord tensed up as your angry tone cut him off.

“Who are you and what do you want?!”

Your gaze burned through the back of his head.

“You mistake me my lady!”

He spoke nervously his hands up in surrender even though his back was faced to you.

“Then speak.”

A sigh of relief escaped the man as you lowered your sword. He finally turned to face you…

no…no…no…it couldn’t be? it can’t be…?

Your cold composure faltered, eyes widening at the sight of him.

His eyes softened, a warm smile appearing on his lips.

“it truly is you…”

Joshua breathed, “When I heard word of the dominant of Leviathan…I knew…I knew it would be you…”

You felt as if your world had regained color, as if your will had returned.

“Joshua…”

You let out a shakey exhale. You hadn’t even noticed how much you were shaking, the sword gripped in your hand suddenly fell to the floor. A loud clang echoed which soon mixed with your footsteps, you ran to his arms.

The familiar scent hit you has your arms tightened around him.

“…I thought i’d never see you again.”

His soft voice spoke into you as he held you closely. He kissed the top of your head.

You tried to respond, but only got choked up. Your arms tightened around him and you buried your face into his neck.

You felt alive again…

what if Lizzie didn't die?

nobody's ever fallen out of the void before, so no participant has ever come back to tell the tale of what that's like. the communicator says she's eliminated, and everyone shrugs and carries on, because for all they know, she is. Maybe there is a ground to hit down there, or some monster that swoops in and kills in a single blow.

but the thing is - there's no end in a void. it just continues forever. and ever. and ever. it's simple physics; a void/vacuum is a blank space, a complete and total absence of anything at all. there's nothing there that could have killed Lizzie because, by definition, nothing is in the void at all. not even time could have gotten her.

now imagine being condemned to a place (or as close to a place as the void can get) where you will never see anything again, hear anything again, falling falling falling, towards a ground that will never appear. a place where you can never look into anyone's eyes ever again. eventually, a green streak in brown hair is the only memory you have of another human existing that hasn't been lost to the millennia you've spent falling. this place where you will be the only thing that exists, the only thing that will exist, and the only thing that has ever existed, slipping through the cracks of time, eternally in solitude.

wouldn't that be a fitting place for a woman who spent all her time on solid ground alone, with almost nobody to care for her? falling so far out of the bounds of reality even the watchers don't know she's still alive? so beyond the reach of anybody that nobody will ever hear her calls for them to come to her, let alone heed them? and let's be honest, if they could hear her, would they even come?

and who knows, maybe when the next season rolls around, for some strange, inexplicable reason, the watchers can't find Lizzie. It's no trouble, they can construct a new Lizzie from her memory, even if it's one season behind. and maybe this time, Lizzie has better luck and lots of friends. she doesn't really get why Scar is so apologetic, or Joel so clingy, or even why she constantly feels like she's teetering on the edge of a precipice, about to fall. but that's just her being silly, right?

all the while the original Lizzie falls forever. forgotten again.

i like that they didn't make po's ex a woman bc that would make me think they were making the "i'm not gay i only like you" type of narrative which makes me so fucking mad every single time it happens

also po likes men and that's ok, i think everyone around him is okay with that fact and that's so important (to me!), it's not a big deal for anyone around him, he doesn't have to hide his attraction to men from anyone

that could still happen with yhame because we don't know about that part of him, and that's not and shouldn't be the focus here, but yeah, it could happen (i mean, he obviously can't announce it publicly but yk we know he will not have to hide this form the members bc he will have that talk with pepper)

but i'm glad po knows that he's attracted to men, and he knows that he feels ✨something✨ when he's around thame (and probably has a tiny little crush on him, but i still think thame start to like po first, obviously)

and thame knowing po for what? at the most a week and already offering to send him home if it's too late omg like BRO STAND TF UP PLS

i can't wait for both of them to start thinking that it could be more than just a work relationship (it already is but they don't know it), bc po will be so overthinking it and thame will be like yeah i like you and want to be with you bluntly
