I’m actually going to kms after that ending/j
like yes, I get that it was good for the plot and an amazing cinematic decision but the way it ended makes it impossible for a season 3 (if they want to keep the plot) but I also feel that the writing was rushed and that there’s a few plot holes like how did Loki manage to do that? What was his thought process WHO WAS THAT LAST LINE TARGETED TWORDS ?!?! But also with that ending if we don’t get a season 3 we might at least get a Mobius spinoff another thing I hate abt the ending is that it basically closes off Loki’s story in the MCU I mean, we know most likely we won’t get another avengers movie because of the Marvels and stuff (which I hate btw (not in a mysoginistic way I just hate them I find them very annoying)) like did Thor or anyone else in the mcu even know abt the tva or what was going on?? Maybe I’m just sad I have to find a new show to watch instead of watching the same 3 shows again and again 😔

Fuck it. Let's hurt myself. #3 Goodbye for a Lokius kiss.
3. ...goodbye. (you know, a goodbye kiss doesn't have to be angsty, but you asked...)
It wasn't supposed to go like this again.
That Loki would leave was inevitable. No matter how much passed between them, no matter that Mobius felt like he could actually call him a true friend now—he'd known that at some point they'd part again. What reason could a god, set free in the multiverse, have for staying with him? He's got far better reasons to leave, to go track down his family, and Mobius wouldn't dream of asking him to stay.
The departure itself has an uncomfortable feeling of déjà vu, though. The awkward goodbye, the lingering looks, the tension heavy in the air. At least this time no one tries for a handshake. Mobius tugs him into a hug without thinking too hard about it, burying his face in Loki's shoulder like did in the Void.
He echoes Loki's words: "Goodbye, my friend."
"Mobius," Loki breathes shakily, sounding oddly upset. "I..."
Mobius frowns as Loki pulls back, confused. "What's—"
And then Loki's lips are on his, a kiss tinged with desperation, and Mobius is helpless to do anything but kiss him back. Their mouths slide together, seeking out more and more, and Mobius nearly whimpers at the cut of Loki's teeth across his bottom lip.
But Loki draws away, taking a step back with a loud sniff and a hand swiped across his face. A beat passes before he finally looks up and meets Mobius' admittedly flabbergasted gaze.
"Goodbye, Mobius," he murmurs, then steps backward through the time door.
(Read all my kiss ficlets)

Bird Noises
Written for @kimmycupcreates' Lokius Bingo
Tumblr media
Summary: Wounded and trapped deep in the trenches, Loki wonders if he has been abandoned yet again.
"Loki!" Mobius whispered, but there was no sign of the Variant anywhere.
All around him, enchanted and very armed personnel roamed the grounds, their bayonet-mounted rifles glinting in the moonlight, and calling attention to himself would be suicide.
"Loki!" Mobius hissed again, but either Loki was lying about having super hearing or he was ignoring Mobius.
Of all the apocalypses the Loki Variant (the one they were chasing, not the one Mobius was currently missing) chose to hide in, they had to choose the Battle of the Somme, the largest, bloodiest battle of World War I, if not in all of human history.
Mobius should have trusted his instincts, should have said no to doing things Loki's 'way' for once. All it took was one look in those bright green eyes and he turned to putty like some greenhorn.
They should not have separated. Allied soldiers were being gunned down in droves; Loki would probably survive a chest full of bullets, but not Mobius. Definitely not Mobius, and probably not Loki too, realistically speaking.
An exploding artillery shell had flung them apart so maybe they did not separate on purpose...but it still pissed Mobius off. If Loki had not found him by now, he had either
A. Gone and done his own thing, tracking down the ELV (aka Evil Loki Variant) by himself. Never mind the fact that they still had no idea what ELV looked like now, having been on the run for years, a very, very successful run that was making the Time Keepers really, really uncomfortable.
B. Decided to join in the foray.
"Why aren't we doing anything about this?" Loki had asked in a mix of horror and mild fascination just as soon as they stepped out of the Time Door. They were not dressed for the muddy, minging weather, let alone for stepping over dead bodies and shrapnels.
"We can't change the course of history, Mobius reminded him. "The ghastly death toll here today actually provided a stepping stone to victory for The Allies."
"How?"
"It would influence subsequent decisions to take the fight away from the Western Front and onto the seas. Submarine warfare brought United States into the war."
An odd look came over Loki's face then.
"A necessary war." His lips curled in disgust. "How ugly."
Which brought Mobius to the last, but not necessarily the worst scenario:
C. Run off. Loki could shapeshift to look like anybody, speak almost all the world's major lingua francas. He may look and sound like a pompous British aristocrat most of the time, but he could pass off as French, Austrian, German, whatever he wanted. Guy was a fucking chameleon.
A tall, loud chameleon whose head or tail Mobius had not seen for an alarming total amount of twenty minutes. Tme was ticking and Loki did not have a TemPad and if Mobius left a Variant stranded here in 1916…
A true fear gripped his heart and Mobius could feel a scream crawl his way up his throat, frantic and desperate. "Loki!!!"
The deafening boom of a cannon exploding somewhere to his right drowned out his shouts. Mobius waded through the clouds of dust and debris, his vision drastically reduced down to no more than twenty yards, he could barely make out his own feet.
He heard a faint sound, a sound that did not belong here, not in this place, not in this time.
Mobius forced himself to hold his breath, he could hardly hear anything between the buzzimg in his ears from the explosion and his own harsh gasps -
There it was again, a short, quiet but high-pitched sound...the crying call of a songbird.
Mobius' legs began to move.
Keep calling, Loki, he prayed, but with every yard he covered, the call grew weaker.
Mobius hastened his search. He knew he was not running in the wrong direction, for on every tree he passed, there were bloody palm prints of someone fleeing.
Mobius would recognise those hands anywhere, he had just held them last night under the covers.
Warm, safe covers.
An artillery shell dropped out of the sky and landed a few feet away from Mobius' feet.
His heart stopped. He waited.
And waited.
When it did not go off, all breath left his chest in one explosive gust and Mobius sank to his knees, his legs turned to jelly.
"What the hell am I doing here?" He mumbled. "Oh dear god, help me…"
"Mobius?" A voice called out, faint and feathery.
"Loki?" He whirled around. Strength restored like magic, Mobius scrambled to his feet.
"Loki, where are you?" he whispered fiercely.
"I'm here," the voice led Mobius to a trench dug ten feet deep into the earth.
Loki's face was milk white, his dirty front completely soaked in blood.
"What happened?" Mobius demanded.
"She stabbed me," Loki gasped.
"She?"
"The Variant. Enchanted - him - "
Loki nodded at a corpse of a soldier lying face-down on the ground a mere feet away. Hidden so deep in the shadows, Mobius could not be certain who the soldier was or how long he had been trapped in the trench, the only clue being the graffiti carved into the chalk all around him that spoke of a love left behind in Abbey Village.
A moan reeled Mobius in back to reality and he hastily took off his jacket. He bunched it up into a ball and pressed it Loki's stomach. He could feel it squelching under his fingers.
"Can't you heal yourself?" Mobius realised just how stupid the question was the moment it left his mouth. If Loki could, he would have, instead of lying here bleeding to death from a gut wound the size of his fist.
"I tried," Loki panted, shaking his head weakly. "Magic blade."
Mobius' mind raced. "We have to get you out of here. Take you back to the TVA, we can patch you up there."
"Go." Loki swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down erratically with an unbearable thirst. He had lost far too much blood to get very far. "Leave me."
"Never," Mobius said with a fury he very seldom displayed. "I don't leave anyone behind."
"I'm sorry, Mobius." Loki's teeth chattered. "I let her get away."
"Yeah, we can talk about that later. Now shut up, I'm trying to think."
Should he return to the TVA and come back with help? No, there was no guarantee the Time Door would open onto this exact spot and now that he had found Loki, the thought of leaving him alone was unthinkable.
Loki's bloody hand scoured the air and Mobius caught it. "Loki, hold on."
"Shhh." Loki closed his eyes and tried to concentrate; as long as there was in life in him, there was still magic, and as long as there was magic…
A green glow shimmered over the God of Mischief's form, and a few seconds later, Mobius was holding a handsome peregrine falcon in his arms.
He bundled the wounded creature up in his bloodied jacket as warmly as he could,
(Warm, safe covers)
He fumbled with the TemPad and nearly dropped it from his blood-slick hand in his panic.
A bird of few noises, the falcon made a sharp, rasping kack-kack-kack staccato and nuzzled its head into Mobius' chest as if to say, It's okay. You've got this.
The Time Door materialised in front of them.
Mobius threw one last look at poor dead William, and wished he could make a stop in Abbey Village to tell sweet Adaline how much young William had loved her.
Maybe once Loki was well, they would make that trip together.

blow all my friendships to sit in hell with you
a lokius fix it fic | ao3 link | based off of this post | spoilers for season 1 of loki
A force wave pulses through the TVA. Mobius locks eyes with B-15.
“We have to go. Something happened!” Mobius says. “But, where are they?”
“They’re Lokis, they can find their own way.”
“Seriously, B-15-“
“Bea.” Bea interrupts.
“Bea.” Mobius says. He’s known B-15- Bea, the longest, it’s weird knowing she has an actual name, and not just a number. “We can’t leave them to die. We don’t even know what happened.”
“Whatever they did is causing the TVA to crumble. Our job is done, Mobius. We can go home.” Bea says, a spark in her eyes.
“You can go home. I’m not leaving without Loki.” Mobius says. “And Sylvie.”
Bea sighs. “Alright, Mobius. Here’s where I’m going to be, if you want to visit.” Bea hands him a slip of paper, before programming a door and walking through it.
Mobius turns around, looking around at the slowly crumbling TVA. He doesn’t know how much time he’ll have before it collapses completely. Hopefully Sylvie and Loki will be able to find him.
A shock wave rumbles through as a crack sounds in the library and Loki falls out and hits the floor. He looks around and Mobius runs over to him. “Loki? Where’s Sylvie? And what are you wearing?” Mobius laughs.
“Who are you? Where am I? What have you done with me!” Loki says, attempting to summon his daggers, much like the first time they met.
“Loki?”
“Who are you that dares say my name like you know me?!” Loki hisses. Mobius backs up in shock. Something happened at the end of time. And now this Loki, who clearly isn’t his, is here.
“Never mind. I thought you were someone else.” Mobius mumbles, pocketing his TemPad and walking away, his feet subconsciously taking him to Ravonna’s office.
He shuts the door and leans against it, breathing hard.
Fuck.
***
The TVA is completely abandoned. It had been a long long time since Mobius had seen or heard from anybody.
There’s no clock in the TVA. not an actual one, anyway.
Ravonna’s office is the only TVA building still standing. Clearly, she thought something like this might happen, based on all the files that had been backed up and the enforced walls.
Mobius tried to look out the window, but it’s not an actual window, since he can’t actually see anything out of it.
Miss. Minutes is gone, too. She disappeared when the heart of the TVA fell into the timeless void, but Mobius couldn’t focus on his impending doom if he couldn’t find Loki. The TVA, or what’s left of it, is the only place Mobius would be able to find out what happened to him.
And Mobius thinks he’s finally found something. Since Loki was the only one who came out of the door, Mobius has to assume something happened to Loki and Sylvie to cause them to split up. Then Mobius got sent to a parallel TVA, either accidentally or someone sent him there with malicious intent, and other Loki got sent in his place, as some sort of paradox.
Mobius has gone through Ravonna’s research on parallel universes, and he thinks he’s finally managed to track down Loki.
Finally.
Mobius breathes a sigh of relief, and starts fiddling with the TemPad. They weren’t originally built for this, but it shouldn’t be too hard. Parallel universes normally are inverted or changed just slightly. In the one where Mobius believes a loki was sent, Mobius wasn’t the analyst assigned on the Sylvie case, he had never met a Loki before.
That one small detail meant that their ‘codes’ were only a letter or two off, as the TVA liked to describe it as, so anyone trying to program it into the TemPad quickly might’ve clicked a wrong number or letter, causing Loki to be sent to the wrong universe.
The TemPad dings and Mobius cheers. He puts in the coordinates and an orange door opens. Mobius runs through it, not thinking about what could be on the other side, the only thought running through his head is that he’ll see Loki again.
“I’M NOT A VARIANT!” Mobius turns his head to see Loki struggling against four guards.
His breath gets caught in his throat. Mobius runs at Loki, overpowering the guards and pushing the two of them through an orange door.
The two get dropped through the air and Loki falls on top of Mobius, knocking the breath out of both of them.
“Mobius?” Loki asks. Mobius nods and Loki lets out a sob and wraps his arms around him. “I thought you had left me.” He murmurs, burying his head in Mobius’s neck.
“Never. I’m never leaving you.”
Loki pulls away, his eyes red with unshed tears, before smirking. He tugs at Mobius’s hair.
“I like your hair.”
Mobius blushes and pulls his hair self consciously behind his ear. He meets Loki’s eyes and Loki smiles, one of the few real smiles Mobius has seen, and Mobius drops his hand.
“Really?” Mobius asks. Loki nods, intertwining their fingers.
And Mobius can’t wait any longer. He moves forward, pressing their lips together.
Loki tugs on Mobius’s jacket, pulling him closer and Mobius wraps his arms around Loki’s neck.
“I missed you so much.” Loki says, resting his forehead on Mobius’s, and Mobius breaks. Tears stream down his face as he pulls Loki in for a hug.
“I missed you too.” Mobius murmurs.
It had been hard, but they were finally together and they weren’t letting each other go again.

CHAR when will you be doing your Loki ep6 lokius breakdown, I need hope to get through to s2
ANON I know I am the worst I am so sorry lmao
I wish I could promise you an exact deadline but from experience I have learned that sometimes if I do that for big writing projects I end up pressuring myself harder than I already do, and then I hate feeling like I’ve let people down by being later than I estimated. So the answer is that I don’t know!
BUT I will say this: after I get a first draft of my SPN Chuck Won meta done, this is next up on the list. I am finally on a roll with the Chuck thing, after that project has fought me for months and I’ve restarted it three times (!!!!!), and I don’t want to lose the momentum. I am very capable of switching tracks because at all times every fandom is dormant in my brain at once lmao, but if I ping pong a lot I worry I’m not as sharp in my writing. I have Sherlock meta I want to read right now and haven’t even done that for the same reason.
Once I no longer fear losing where my brain is at with what I’ve been currently writing, I will switch to Loki and push us through, despite how at this point I cannot imagine how my ep 6 thread can possibly contain anything new to anyone since it’s been so long.
I’m going to need to rewatch the episode, and tbh because I know how I am I’ll probably rewatch the majority of the rest of the season in bits and pieces to submerge my brain space back into it and make sure I’m thorough. And THEN I will go through the truly hellish process of collecting screencaps and numbering them in post order and writing in tweet drafts to meet word count and so on and so forth 💀 lmfao. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to do it, especially for the good of the people!!! But despite the fact that it is technically my idea of “fun,” it is also… a lot of work. HA. So I can’t just like, fuck around and decide to sit down and write it off the cuff tomorrow, is my point.
The reality is that I got ~lazy~ about it without the deadline of a next episode breathing down my neck. It’s difficult to explain the levels of complete feral derangement and sleep deprivation I pushed myself into weekly in order to crank out the ep 3-5 threads as quickly as I did for everyone’s sakes, because each of them probably took around a minimum of 6 hours (when it was fresh in my head!). So I subconsciously associate doing them with exhaustion HAHAHA. God.
This time I don’t have to do it in one sitting though! And I know that! So I need to convince my brain of that.
BUT YOU DIDNT ASK ANY OF THAT! SO. LET ME SHUT UP.
ALL THAT TO SAYYYYYY:
I can’t give you a timeline unfortunately but I PROMISE it will get done, and despite what it sounds like I am not actually dreading it but I’m just explaining why it’s a big time commitment and maybe harder than it looks (?), and I genuinely apologize for leaving everyone hanging!!!
PS I am sure if you’re in my ask box about this then you’re aware, but just in case, my collection of Loki meta on Twitter does contain some ep 6 thoughts to tide you over if you haven’t read those already! Also fun fact the other day I found out that if you Google “Lokius meta” my shit is like one of the top results and that’s 🎶 a little bit insane 🎶 (in a good way)
