I've actually thought about this a lot! Genshin character design archetypes are pretty funky, but there are regional specificities- for example, every Fontaine character (excepting Wriothesley I think?) has a bow somewhere on their outfit, and just like that, every Sumerian character has some type of gem and/or metal accent, and all Inazuman characters have some sort of braid-and-tassel element in their design.

When you look at Wanderer's design, you see both Sumerian and Inazuman design influences, and as far as I can tell his new hat design is Sumerian? (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this one!)

His signature dish is Inazuman (although it can be noted that the eel in it can also be gathered from the desert, which is a neat detail), but his preferred furnishing sets in the teapot are Sumerian, and all of his ascension and talent materials (as well as his vision) are also Sumerian.

If we take into account another character who has a similar story of moving from one place to another, Chiori, he does seem to be an outlier- Chiori's vision casing, preferred furnishing sets, clothing, signature dish, and the majority of her ascension materials are Inazuman. So, even though Chiori lives and works in Fontaine, it's pretty safe to say that she's Inazuman.

Also see Thoma, who's a pretty good example of being divided between two nations- he was born and raised in Mondstat to a Mondstatian mother and an Inazuman father, hence his clothing, but his signature dish, vision, ascension materials, and furnishing sets are all Inazuman- not to mention his affiliation being with the Yashiro Commission. Thoma is equally as much Mondstat on paper, but I'd also say that he functionally an Inazuman character as well.

So! All of that bringing me to my conclusion- since Wanderer is now a student at the Akademiya (and the fact that he got a new voiceline about the most recent Sumeru character when Sethos was added), I think in my opinion Wanderer is presented more as someone who's from Sumeru than Inazuma.

I have spreadsheets where I track all the character's nationalities. I have a couple characters where I'm not sure how to classify them though. One of them is Arlecchino (link here), and the other is Wanderer (this poll).

Currently, I have Wanderer listed as an Inazuman. His clothing style, backstory, and special dish are all Inazuman. Additionally, his backstory gives him strong ties to Inazuma as well as having shaped how some events occurred. When he tells his backstory, the cutscene is in an art style primarily associated with Inazuma.

On the other hand, his vision shape and local specialties are from Sumeru and cannot be dismissed in the same way that Arlecchino's might be. Additionally, Wanderer is now associated with the Akademiya more than anything in Inazuma.

Whichever way this poll determines, however, I will follow through and update my spreadsheets accordingly.

Unpopular opinion: I have seen some people really hate on these books but I reckon its enjoyable and that is..... the Red Queen Series. It's got an interesting world with cool powers and abilities, a cool main character, a love triangle etc. Just my thoughts.

Ok listeeeennnnn, at the end of the day, everybody is allowed to read and love whatever book they want. I'm saying this to say, don't pay too much mind to what others think of the books you like/love or the ones you dislike. Besides, last I checked there is a pretty decently sized fandom for the Red Queen Series so you are definitely not alone.

Now, as for my opinion on it, I'm afraid I fall into that group of people who do not like the series. I definitely was pulled in by the premise; reds and silvers, special abilities, it all sounded SO COOL. Unfortunately it was the execution of it all that lost me. AND MARE, she as a main character fell flat for me.
