the list is endless, but here are a couple of them im super passionate about:

• Charlie Brown taught Sally sign language (ASL) all throughout her childhood. She can ‘speak’ full sentences fluently and DEFINITELY uses it to her advantage (signs curses when the teacher isn’t looking /jj). The signs come in handy when Charlie Brown goes non-verbal (selective mutism)

• Lucy has terrible hearing and has had to wear hearing aides since she was like 5. Charlie Brown keeps stressing that she should learn ASL in case of emergency, but she always refuses (“I’d rather DIE than have to learn English again.” /j)

• Schroeder and Patty are cousins; his dad and her mom are German/Polish. Schroeder’s mom is black (Somalian) and Indian, and Patty’s dad is Swedish and Kazakhstanian. Patty bonds over Schroeders love for German history and loves teaching him about their family heritage (schroeder zones out until beethoven is mentioned)

• Lucy has a separate birth dad (Balkan) than Rerun and Linus’ dad (Irish). All three of them have the same mom, who I think is a Chinese immigrant who moved to America (along with their “blanket hating Grandmother”). Linus and Rerun are both “Rainbow children”, due to their mother losing a baby before Linus was born

• I saw somebody on tik tok say that Snoopy was Filipino-American, and honestly i cant unsee it /hj

• Marcie was born in Korea and was adopted by French immigrants in America. She grew up primarily learning French and a little bit of English due to the books in her house. When she met P. Patty at the summer camp, she was taught the ins and outs of American culture and still relies on her every once in a while (marcie calls her “sir” solely because she didn’t know the feminine English pronouns for an authoritative figure)

• Frieda and Heather (the little red haired girl) are half siblings. They share the red hair and the sharp nose trait (i think theyre both roman-italian bcs of it). Heather has the coveted “nAtuRAllY CuRLy HaiR” trait as well, she just burns it straight every single morning (i like drawing it frizzy asl)

• Violet is of Native American descent (mother’s side) and Black Irish (father’s side). When she first moved in in the comic (1951), she lived with both parents, but around late 1951, she moved AGAIN, so that makes me think her parents got a divorce between those two moves. Her mom quickly married a British person (ew /j) who hated all the tom-boyish crap violet was always seen doing, so he started to push his uppity customs onto her. This, I think, is why she’s so upset at Pig Pen all the time for him being messy, despite her literally being OBSESSED with mud-pie making in her first set of comics. She just has a random change there, and a different (british) influence is the only explanation /j

• Franklin LOVESSS space and science. He aspires to be an astronaut when he grows up. He often gets in arguments with Lucy about the validity of aliens existing, and it’s one of the few things that REALLYYY tick him off. Lucy revels to see him so stressed out, but she also likes getting the last word in.

• Peggy Jean (who? /jj) and Schroeder are besties, i think. They bond over talking crap about the other peasants and Peggy loves pissing him off. They have a kind of sibling relationship, where they outwardly insult each other and wish the lather were dead, but lets be real, they would die for each other.

• Peppermint Patty is originally from Australia and met Roy through a foreign-exchange program (Roy is originally from India). They were besties at camp and when P. Patty’s dad decided to live there, she offered to let Roy stay with them. They lived together for a long time until Roy moved out with his parents (now in America) and they kinda drifted away. It’s just whenever I recall that one scene in “He’s your dog, Charlie Brown” when Roy is in P. Patty’s house for some reason, im always confused, so this is canon now/jj

@omorimewo and I were talking about the precious bean that is Basil and then I couldn’t help but start to think about some Basil Hooligan friendship headcanons 👀👀

So after everything that happens Aubrey still wants to get all of her friends to like each other

She arranges meetings with all of them there, but it’s still really awkward. Kel is a bit distrustful and Basil is on edge. The hooligans are confused by Aubreys sudden shift, but they care about her so they’ll give it a shot

Hanging out with Kel and Basil is...strange though

Kel is still uppity and Basil is still weird and there’s an underlying tension because of how they all used to treat each other.

There’s more than one time where everyone ends up shouting at each other and storming off but Aubrey is determined to make this work

Theyall end up at Basils house a couple weeks into the new strange “camraderie” they’re all supposed to have

He has so many plants. So many many plants. Aubrey goes to the back yard without going in the house, pulling the rest of her friend group with her and over to where Kel and Basil are standing by a variety of plants

Aubrey seems to know what’s going on already and pushes Basil into talking. Apparently he’s been growing flowers that reminds him of their group of friends, something he does for people he likes.

Basil is shy about it but with some coaxing from Kel and Aubrey he shows them all the flowers he chose for each of them

Kim- Aubrieta because they’re tiny and purple and pretty. Also Aubrey

Vance- Wild carrots because they grow all over and cannot be easily tamed

Angel- Brugmansia because of their bright yellow color and their nickname of angels trumpets

Charlene- hydrangeas because they’re big full bushels of soft blue and pink. They’re understated and they have a sad meaning, but they have a gentle aroma and one of Basil’s favorites

Mikhael-Amarynth because theyre bright and flashy with super red color and also they’re used for grain which shows his hidden bread origins

After he finishes explaining each of the flowers and showing them the carefully cultivated blooms there’s a long silence. Basil begins to spiral into his normal self conscious anxiety, and Kel is ready to pick a fight if they’re going to be mean

Then Kim...apologizes

One by one each of them say they’re sorry for how they treated him, not saying much more, but all of them knowing what it means to Basil

Basil is caught like a deer in headlights. He knows he’s supposed to say it’s okay or not acknowledge it and be cool, but Basil is Not Cool™️

He tears up and plays with the edge of the leaves on his hydrangea bush, tangling his fingers with Kel when the other boy offers his hand

Aubrey is simultaneously happy and stressed because she just wants her friends to get along but this got pretty intense

Charlene who almost never talks is the one who manages to break the awkwardness. She shuffles over to where Basil and Kel are and asks if Basil would show her how to plant her own hydrangeas

Basil rubs at his eyes and gives her a little smile, going off in a ramble about ph balance in soils. The others creep over and listen, actually starting to get into it too

TLDR: They all start a garden okay? Everybodys friends and they have a garden together in the park and it’s beautiful 😭

okay. so. on the whole i do like arcade. however. probably my biggest pet peeve in the world is white men who think/act like theyre smarter than me. this grinds my fucking gears like NOTHING else on earth. i have gotten in irl fights about it. however when hes not being an uppity smug bitch i do like him a lot. the too much screen time box is dubious in that i dont think the actual game itself overplays its hand with arcade but i think fans do Constantly like hes a fan favourite to the detriment of his own characterization. use him sparingly. the pale bastard. i also Do think he functions best in a dynamic like i am not super entranced by his individual interiority the same way i am raul or lily or benny even like hes just some guy to me and he really needs another person to become interesting and entertaining otherwise what is there. some white gayboy having feelings? weve all had feelings before. ive said so many words about a dude i feel roundly Eh towards im embarrassed. i think trans people of colour do arcade the best honestly

One time someone was about to yell at an artist for making a character look too ashy in a discord channel I'm in only for it to be revealed that the artist was colorblind. I just think about that a lot these days. That person was also. Super uppity about white-washing too even though they weren't all that much lighter and most people who posted it was also brown skinned. They said that it was "hurtful" and wanted every whitewashed art to be banned. Like I get that whitewashing sucks but come on.

Its a bit of a more nuanced issue because there are definitely some jags who are blatantly racist pieces of shit.. like that nonsense with Nessa from Pokemon... That was just filled with demons and yet somehow making Nessa pale and blonde was not the worse thing that happened to her somehow. Shit like that theres a reason so go all scorched earth TBH

But there are definitely people who are overreacting to things idk for attention or something? Trolling perhaps.

Like complaining that people are making a character too light even when its theyre canonical skin tone (VLD Lance stans were wildin) or complaining when people draw characters who are canonical pale... as slightly paler? Ive seen someone complain about whitewashing Milk Cookie. MILK COOKIE. or even the opposite when a character has a tan or something. Theres definitely obvious lighting going on for some pics.

Its understandable to be sensitive about it but like if youre telling people to kill themselves because they made a characters skin tone slightly lighter (or darker! TBH theres shit like that too and those people definitely need to relax it is not the same thing) you need to talk to someone or something. Get your life sorted out bitch. God damn.

And it sucks but people doing it on purpose want to see you freak out at them. Do you know what an 'LOLcow' is... Learn to just block people.

Im trying to think of questions bc i love these children but i cant so just. Yell about them? What are they like when theyre in fantasy higj school? What are their friends like? Do carey and killian slay at the pta meetings? Do they go to taakos school? What shenanigans do they get away with? What shenanigans DONT they get away with? This is all important information

i somehow forgot to mention this in the original post but johann, a dragonborn, is super purple and, despite being small as a baby/kid, he grows up to be, like, six and a half feet tall. noelle, an orc, was the taller of the two until johann was in his teens (he’s two years older than noelle) but she’s still over six feet tall and an absolute powerhouse

they all tower over carey and it’s not even like carey is incredibly short (i picture her at, like, 5′7), she’s just in a house full of giants

it’s obvious, as the kiddos get older, to see which of their family members had more of an influence on them than others (besides carey and killian bc both moms can be seen in the kids). johann is good at things “accidentally” ending up in his room (or his pockets). noelle loves to garden and seems to have a bit of an affinity for it. johann, despite not always gearing towards academia, loves to write. noelle can wield an axe with the best of them. davenport actually helped out with teaching johann how to drive (wagons, obvi, and totally not fantasy cars), and eventually taught him how to captain a boat, too. barry lets noelle in on all his scientific studies and he even shows her some of his necromantic studying, though that’s their little secret from kravitz.

also there’s def more little ways of seeing all the birds +co. in the kiddos, this is just 1) the first time i’m actually able to develop these kids outside of my own head, and 2) this is currently just me rattling off whatever i can think of rn

they’re both kinda jocks in fantasy high school, and then noelle also falls into the nerd category while johann is, like, a three-way cross between jock/prep/goth. also noelle is absolutely the one studying for exams while running on a treadmil

i don’t have a huge mental spreadsheet on their friends, but i can def say that the sweet flips household is practically a second home to all of their friends!!! as the kids get older, it’s common for at least one friend to always be sleeping over bc their house just radiates warmth and love.

johann does have a serious boyfriend when he’s 17 (and older) though!!! he’s a gnome and, okay, originally this was a normal dnd oc for me and i was making fun of my own shitty naming conventions so i just said that his name was “guy” but let’s just say, in this fiction, “guy” is short for something ajksjkdjkf. but yeah he’s a gnome and his class is barbarian and he can wield a huge axe (beefy gnome) and, again, still developing a lot of this fiction i’ve made in my head, but the way i kinda see johann and guy working out is that, like, they’re both pretty Up There people and super loud and bold and, to make a reference, very “rushing in” type of people? guy in a more “magnus” way, and johann in a very “holy shit i didn’t think this through but now it’s too late to bail” way. but, together? they almost calm each other down and they’re quiet and peaceful with each other and, it’s not that they tire each other out or bore each other, but it’s more so the fact that they don’t feel the need to be all “out there” most of the time. and for johann, guy kinda gives him the chance to actually just relax? like, he was a super shy kid, and while he did “grow out of it,” he sometimes feels that introversion again so, instead of overcompensating and forcing himself to be super uppity, guy lets him just relax.

the entire family loves guy but he was absolutely terrified to meet all of them because “johann i don’t know how else to tell you this, but it’s kinda intimidating when your boyfriend’s family consists of the most important people in the world”

oh they absolutely dominate the pta. carey is more so the mom who brings stuff in for, like, bake sales and shit like that (with the help of taako and lup because “guys you don’t understand, i need to be better than helen or else i will never hear the end of it”). they’re both the super intimidating parents when people mess with their kids. carey more so on the “i can rob you blind and you would have no evidence to prove it” spectrum. killian on the “i have very big arms and an even bigger crossbow but, oh yeah, do that again” spectrum

johann goes to taako’s school (which taako loves bc johann thinks the dueling is hysterical and he’s actually a pretty good student and also ren is one of johann’s favorite teachers/administrators). noelle goes to lucas’s school and taako will forever be offended

taako, every time he sees noelle after she enrolls: betrayed by my own flesh and blood

noelle: uncle taako, lucas’s school just had the program i-

later on, though, taako ends up having a two hour chat with the both of them, asking them how school is going and if they need any help

taako is a softie for these kids but he also has a reputation to uphold

shenanigans they do get away with: lup teaching johann and noelle minor evocation spells (like firebolt and dancing lights), letting tres horny boys + sloane and hurley take them for a safe ride in a battle wagon, they once somehow convened with the raven queen and istus and pan and to this day no one knows how but no one ever said that they couldn’t do it, sneaking out (because both killian and carey know when they’re sneaking out, since carey is super rogue and killian was used to sneaking herself and her sisters out when they were younger)

shenanigans they absolutely do not get away with: barry showing noelle a bunch of necromantic ritual circles, davenport letting johann captain a boat when he’s ten, johann illusioning a door and “come get y’alls juice”-ing noelle, noelle supplexing johann across the house, lup teaching them firebolt, johann hotwiring a battlewagon and noelle driving the both of them an hour out of the city to go see a show (“you two could have asked for permission. we would have said yes.” “yeah but where’s the teenage rebellion in that.”)

tbh i’m an only child so i never know how my sibling dynamic stuff comes across, but i try pulling from the dynamic i have with my two cousins (who are basically like my older and younger brothers) and also i just really dig siblings being best friends, like, maybe that’s the “i kinda really wish i had siblings” thing in me but akjsjkdkjfkj

Well at first I just though Cap was boring (The Avengers) but Cap stans being obnoxious made me go beyond just being bored by him.

Almost every character or ship I hate has more to do with the fans of the the character/ship. I mean I DISLIKE the character to begin with but Im tolerant of them… but also the characters I dislike usually have fanbases that are large and super fucking uppity with a hair trigger temper and a whole lot of headcanon theyre really protective of and if you dare deviate from that they flip the fuck out and its obnoxious.

Cap is/was one of those characters. (Until the little bi-Cap/Stcky headcanon was ruined and now everyone hates him. MORE LIKE BYE-CAP AMIRITE)

001 - Star wars

Favorite character: FINN!! Absolutely.

Least Favorite character: Jar Jar I suppose. True story-- I found a pack of Star Wars playing cards once and I grabbed them all excited thinkin I was finally gonna have some Finn merch (even if it would be WEAK ASS merch).... Not only was it only the Prequel movies only... but the first card that came out was Jar Jar.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Rey/FinnPoe/FinnKylo/Finn (Probably my fav despite me not even liking Kylo... because the fandom is super chill and Poe and Rey/Finn shippers can be some of the most uppity, obnoxious fucks. MY GOD. Also the few SWs fics I read have been those ships and it tends to be the stories are more about THEM than Finn and thats not how I roll. Not sayin all of them. Just... it happens.)Anyone/Finn really... Im not picky... As long as he looks cute in it.

Character I find most attractive: Honestly? As of TLJ... that purple haired lady. She was super hot. Qui gon was before but now hes second. And then Finn is third.

Character I would marry: Finn. Or Qui Gon... my old flame.

a random thought: ...Dunno... I find worlds with sentient friendly robots to be utterly charming but the SW Fandom as a whole is a hellscape and I could never really get into Star Wars because of it. Also? Turns out not really a Star Wars fan at all... I literally only like The Force Awakens.

An unpopular opinion: There are a few ships I really dont like or would consider ‘not great’ IMO but Antis especially Antis Reylos specifically make the fandom insufferable.

My Canon OTP: ...IDK Im not a huge fan of canon ships in general. Dont tell me how to live my life story... I know what I want.

My Non-canon OTP: Everyone/Finn. Baze/Chirrut

Most Badass Character: Evil robot guy with four arms? That guy was awesome.

Most Epic Villain: That robot with the four arms that I dont remember anything about other than the fact he looks fuckin RAD!

Pairing I am not a fan of: Anything thats not Finn related with the exception of.... Baze/Chirrut.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Rose... If theyre gonna intro a character they should have their part of the story be a little bit more important and solid... She as a character is cute and has potential I just dont the writers wrote her to her full potential. Also why didnt she have ANYTHING to do with Poe? Wasnt it Poe who got her sister killed... that woulda been an interesting story.

Favourite Friendship:Rey/Finn and Poe/Finn
