I really wanted to show more love to our pets who would guide us to the other side. It was a lot of fun drawing the back views of the figures and I put in so much love into these pieces.

In my new painting «Red Guy with Color Spots» is a personal exploration of what it means to be a man today. In this painting, I try to break free from the traditional ideas of masculinity that feel too rigid and outdated. The male body, often either glorified or hidden, becomes vulnerable here, layered with vibrant colors and abstract forms that disrupt the familiar.

As a queer artist, I’m interested in how we can reclaim male nudity, not as something to be censored, but as a powerful statement of identity and desire. The homoerotic elements in my work are intentional-they reflect my own experience and challenge the cultural discomfort around male vulnerability.

This painting, like much of my art, is a way for me to reflect on my own relationship with masculinity and the ways it constantly shifts and evolves. Through it, I hope to invite others to reconsider their own ideas about male identity and the body.

This one was fun, though I had to redo the wings digitally bc I didn't like how the original ones came out argh🥲 but I really dig the final results, I added some shine to the sparkle in the middle of their face and some other little bits and I'm satisfied with the end result haha✨️

Think I'm going to do one more and then put them out as prints, also wondering if posters are something people would be interested in? Posters in general actually, bc I noticed ppl like to buy the one listing I made for a piece I did at the beginning of last year in that format🤔 feel free to let me know!!

2023. gouache on watercolor paper. 12 in. x 9 in.

happy pride! this is the first piece i have ever made using gouache, and i think it turned out well. i put a spin on clownfish by making them into actual clowns. to correlate with the rainbow fish in the middle, i made all the other fish in as many pride flag colors as possible. this piece was featured in issue 20 of botticelli magazine and was a part of chroma, an art exhibition at my college, for which I am super happy and grateful.
