I am Osama Al-Anqar and my wife's name is Rana Raed Al-Anqar. We have a little girl. We used to live in our house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. We used to live in peace and security and I had a job, but the war came and took everything from me, first of all my brother Mahmoud, who was martyred in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital. He left behind his children and wife, and my brother Ahmed, whose front leg was amputated in the same bombing. I lost my house, my family's house, and my job. Now we have become homeless, moving from one place to another. We are gripped by fear, terror, and hunger. My daughter suffers from extreme fear and panic, and suffers from lack of food and skin diseases due to the lack of water and cleanliness. We are in dire need of your help. We call on you to fund this fund to save my family and provide safe shelter, food, drink, and health care. Your donation is no matter what can happen to us in our lives. This weekend in London has been an EXPERIENCE with so many things happening, I am still not fully able to process everything. However, one of my favourite pics to emerge from this whirlwind of a weekend is this one: Me, as Mr Brown, at London Comic Con with @claudiamurachelli as Aziraphale and @arisinparis as Crowley.

It was so much fun, so much input, so many Good Omens fans and overall so many steps ;__;

Overall though - I did not expect to be mobbed by a flock of Aziraphales during our GO Meetup at the Con. I'm sure there is many more pic I haven't even seen yet. But I wanted to share some of the really good ones :)

It was beyond wonderful to meet Michael Sheen and see how warm he was with so many fans

Hey conlanging folks! The 11th Language Creation Conference list of presentations and registration are now up! April 11–13, U. Maryland (College Park).

LCC11 will have over 26 hours of content (over twice as much as our last in-person conference); two invited speakers (Deaf linguist Dr. Erin Moriarty Harrelson and blind linguist Dr. Sheri Wells-Jensen); ASL and BSL interpretation; two tracks; multiple specialty sessions, including sign languages, loglangs, and writing systems; both open and private meetups (Christian, pro conlanger, ASL signer, autistic, disabled, plural, queer, and trans & non-binary); and a special conlang-centric performance from the Riddlesbrood Touring Theater Company.

Please register by March 4th to have a say in scheduling and time allocations (it's in the registration form).

Register by March 11th to get early registration discount, and to order an LCC11 shirt (and to contribute your conlang to its design).

Regular in person registration is $95, online $30 — with discounts for early registration and LCS members, and as-able rates for self-declared financial need. Shirts are $20 plus shipping (if any), only available if ordered by March 11th.

Two serious accidents involving low-cost carriers (LCCs) occurred in Korea in 2024 and 2025. It is rare for accidents to occur so close together in the same country, but it is important that both involved LCCs. The increase in LCC operations is due to the matching of the needs of airlines and passengers. The airlines can secure many passengers, and the passengers can travel cheaply.

However, passenger planes, which were previously used by the relatively wealthy, are now available to the middle and poor classes, so country folk who do not understand global common sense will flock to tourist destinations around the world and tourist destinations will be ruined by ill-mannered customers. This is overtourism. Furthermore, some criminals commit crimes in their destination countries and then flee back to their home countries (hit and run). These trends are severe for Chinese people visiting Japan.

I don't think we need LCCs. Travel should be something that only those with a keen eye who can take advantage of it can do. In the old days in Japan, only those who were recognized by the country could travel abroad. It's insane that even criminals can travel.

２０２４年、２０２５年を跨いで、韓国で格安航空機（LCC）による重大事故が２件続けて起きた。同じ国でこれだけ近接して事故が起こるというのも稀だが、どちらもLCCが関与していることが重要である。LCCの運航が増えたのは、航空会社と乗客のニーズが一致するからである。会社は多くの乗客を確保できるし、乗客も安い旅行ができるのだから。

だが、従来は比較的に富裕層が利用していた旅客機を、中間層、貧困層も利用できるようになるため、世界の常識を弁えない田舎者が大挙世界の観光地に押しかけることになり、マナーの悪い客によって観光地が荒らされる。オーバーツーリズムである。さらには目的の国で犯罪を犯しては母国に逃げ帰る犯罪者も現れる始末だ（ヒットアンドアウェー）。これらの傾向は、日本を訪れる中国人に甚だしい。

私はLCCは要らないと考える。旅行は、それを活用できる、具眼の士のみが実行できるものであるべきだ。昔の日本では、国に認められた者だけが海外旅行に行けたのだ。犯罪者も旅行できるなんて、狂気の沙汰だ。

TMAGP's classification system is definitely a bit chaotic, but frankly after using the Library of Congress Classification System while working at a library I'm just like yeah classification systems are like that. Here are real actual categories the LCC has:

"circuses, spectacles, etc." which includes "rodeos, waxworks, amusement parks, etc."
