Thinking about the fight against Don Quixote Sr.

Even though he can’t ever verbally express it in front of his other Kindred, he still finds ways to support Sancho during his fight. The first example I noticed was during the Windmill phase, where his gondola attack won’t deal damage if you give even the inkling of not wanting to be hit (defense skill).

The second, more meaningful one to me was during the Carousel Horse phase. There, he will target his own horses and damage them into staggering so you can finish them off to turn them into horses that buff Sancho, the ones representing their shared dream. The ones representing the dream Don Quixote let fall and Sancho returned with. Even though he feels that his own dream has ended, maybe it isn’t impossible in Sancho’s hands.
