Bloodpurity is a discord-based roleplay set in the years following the First Wizarding War, specifically around 1992. The wizarding world is still rebuilding and dealing with the aftermath of Voldemort���s supposed fall by the hands of Dumbledore. Tensions between pureblood supremacy and the new, more inclusive direction of the Ministry of Magic are high. The Sacred 28, a list of pureblood families published by Cantankerus Nott, has resurfaced as a central point of contention. A faction within these families believes that their pureblood heritage grants them the right to lead the wizarding world, while another group within the same families advocates for unity and equality among all magical beings, regardless of blood status. Many of the Sacred 28 turned against Voldemort, especially when his heritage was found out. The pureblood families have divided into factions, each with a leader emerging as a new political force. Even the neutral faction has a leader who attempts to look out for both sides. Most of them involved in the first war has been able to buy their way out of any trouble, a tale of misled youth believing in the wrong person, but stopping short of any real travesties.
