THE GOD OF MISCHIEF AND FIRE IS HERE!!! Loki is finally updated! Now he looks waaay better (and more androgenous :v) than before, now with even some tattoos!
Son of Fárbauti with Laufey, Loki was brother of Býleistr (which was also known as Thor and the giant father of wather spirits) and was "born" when his father struck his mother, causing a wildfire. From it, he took form. Loki had always been jealous of his brother, and when the dwarves Eitri and Brokkr decided to make the hammer Mjölnir for Býleistr, Loki decided to disrupt the forging but although succeeding with it and making the warhammer's handle smaller for such a gigantic hammerhead, Býleistr was fascinated by the hammer and could wield it even with such a disparity in weight.
Loki was fuming in rage and when a young god, Perkwunos, wanted the hammer for himself, Loki helped the young god achieving the god's goal, but his envy and jealousy blinded him to see though Perkwunos's intention. When the god held the hammer in his hand, he did not waste time on slaying Loki's brother in cold-blood, taking for himself the magic of weather spirits and Býleistr's title "Thor".
After that, the young god now named Thor threatened Loki into tricking Eitri and Brokkr to make for the thunder god a way to use the hammer with ease (due to its weight and small handle), and so the "járngreipr" were forged. Upon discovering about the trick, Eitri and Brokkr captured Loki and sewn his mouth shut "so he could not spread any more lies".
His other stories where he lied, tricked the gods and giants and even helped in the killing of Baldr led him into being hunted and captured by Váli Odinson, the god born with the sole purpose of capturing Loki, and bounding the trickster god into a rock with Loki's own daughter's guts, and the most venomous snake to spit its venom on the god's face for eternity. If not by Sigyn, his lover, who holds a bowl below the snake's mouth, Loki would be forever suffering and even if from time to time Sigyn has to let the venom drip on his lover everytime she empties the bowl, causing him to spasm and causing Midgard to shake, he would not have chosen any other one to spend his eternity with.
FINALLY HE IS DONE! I wanted so much to redesign him and I finally could BUT if you think he's the last redesigned OC Imma post, you're wrong >:D some Valkyries were also redesigned too and WILL be posted first on my P4TR30N so if any of you want check it out, it will be worth your money :D

God of War theory; the "Lævateinn" Axe
So the God of War games are very good at putting in nods to the real mythology despite being a new take on it. There are plenty of easter-eggs to more obscure myths in each game and it got me thinking about the Axe. So I know the Axe is suppose to be made by Sindri and Brok but somethings about it make me thing of preexisting legendary Norse weapon. In the game they say the weapon was made for Faye, Atreus's (Loki) mother and named after his son, Jormungandr. Since a lot of the game focuses on Atreus being Loki it would make sense for his mother's axe that was named after his future son to have some significance to him and interestingly Loki's crafted a weapon himself that bore a similar name. It may just be a reference to the biblical Leviathan because Jorrmungandr was compared to one but I think it would be much cooler if it's similar name was a nod to Loki's personal weapon, Lævateinn. To be fair Lævateinn isn't very well described to my knowledge, descriptions vary from dart, to sword, to arrow, to wand, but one thing is usually pretty consistent about it. It's a projectile. Meant to be thrown and assumedly return to it's wielder, much like the Leviathan Axe in the most recent God of War.

It has been 96 days since the Kuroshitsuji hiatus was announced.
Hannah drew her Lævateinn upon noticing Angela Blanc flying near the premises—while the heavenly being has shown no signs of hostility towards the Trancy household yet, she mustn’t let her guard down. They locked gazes for several tense seconds, empyrean flame clashing with devilish fire, before the angel retreated.

Would love to hear five fun facts about an AU where one of the other Two Rivers boys is the Dragon Reborn - Mat or Perrin, the choice is yours.
[Send me a potential AU and I'll answer with five things from that story!]
Going with Mat here-
Since I have such a hard time separating the idea of Rand from the idea of the Dragon, as both mythological figure and for LTT reasons, I'd probably approach this from the angle that Mat is the 'champion of the light' in this specific turning, i.e still the Gambler/Son of Battles archetype, but whose past life resulted in the Breaking of the World, and who must now redeem himself through defeating the Dark One in the present era, and re-sealing the Bore. I would keep the trickster fox symbolism, but mix in heavy elements of Loki (in particular the bits surrounding the death of Balder, and the murder of his sons Nari and Vali as punishment/use to bind him). I would also replaced Callandor (which is an OG exaclibur refrence) with Lævateinn, one of Loki's mythological weapons, an draw heavy parallels with both Gungir and the arrow crafted to slay Balder of mistletoe.
Mat struggles a lot more then Rand with certain aspects of being the savior, less so with others. He's far, far more resistant to accepting his fate especially in the begging, and the story would need to force him into a position where he had the illusion of choice. Rand could be compelled by duty and compassion to accept he is The Dragon- Mat would defiantly refuse just to spite fate.
I would keep the idea that Mat was born outside the Two Rivers, but not make him Aiel born. Instead I'd probably make him Seanchan born- instead of the Aiel War twenty years ago, it was the First Seanchan invasion, with them being beaten back at the Bloodsnows instead, in a decisive (but costly) Westlands victory. Instead of Maiden of the Spear, Mat's biological mother would have been a Deathwatch Guard, likely someone also originally from the Westlands, with a parallel story to Shaiel'sl. His father would have been an Imperial Prince (an adoptive brother of Radhanan's/potential threat to her power) placed in charge of the invasion as a suicide mission/punishment for disgrace.
Conversely it is the Seanchan that Mat has to bind to aid him rather then the Aiel- something he struggles with a lot more then Rand did with the Aiel, though he also feels a lot less guilty about upending their culture and social order then Rand did. This also means he spends TSR/TFOH journeying to, then having to directly confront the Court of the Nine Moons et all, where has to reveal the secret lies of which the Empire predicates it's strength. This leaves Tuon in Couladin's approximate role: the rallying point of Imperial opposition, attempting to pry loose Mat's grip on power.
Because I am, in my heart of hearts a filthy Cauthor shipper- I would have Rand remain at Mat's side as confidant and guardian through to the bitter end. In my head he ends up taking up the dagger in order to protect Mat from Mordeth, and almost consumed by it in a similar way before breaking free/being healed. Though I wouldn't have him Aiel born, I probably would give him an parallel Aiel Training Arc to both help get over Dagger Withdrawal Syndrome and find his niche (assuming he can't channel in this turning).

ttnbd chapter 15 sneak peak
back in the saddle, and you guys have waited long enough, so here's a little bit of the upcoming chapter
February 19th, 1900.
-London, Claridge’s Hotel-
“The weapon is called Lævateinn,” Simeon said. “In truth, I was skeptical of its existence until this very moment.”
“Indeed.” Sebastian nodded thoughtfully. “There are so many myths that prove to be naught but smoke.”
Ciel rolled his eyes and scoffed softly from his position by the window.
Sebastian and Simeon had been prattling on now for what seemed like hours- no topic of conversation escaped them. They’d discussed the Peloponnesian war, which Sebastian knew quite a lot about despite it being before his time- he had, however, been present for the fall of Rome, as was Simeon, so they’d had many fond memories to recount on that subject. They’d worked their way through the Renaissance- this had involved several minutes of the two of them speaking in Italian, a language Ciel did not understand, which at least made the irritating noise of their rambling easier to ignore- albeit only slightly.
Currently, Sebastian was recounting last week’s incident at Trancy Manor, which, to Ciel, seemed redundant. Simeon had no doubt heard the tale from Lizzy and Sybil already, and thinking about that night made the fresh, still-healing skin of Ciel’s arm tingle with unpleasant recollection.
I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself, he thought in Sebastian’s direction. It’s so important for children to play with others their own age.
On the contrary, Sebastian replied, Simeon is far older than I am. He glanced at Ciel, even as he went on speaking to Simeon. Perhaps some children should pay more attention to their lessons.
Ciel scowled at the candle flame in front of him. It burned the same bright yellow natural light that it had all afternoon, ever since Simeon had sat him down in front of it and told him to concentrate.
“To pull the fire from within oneself, one must first master it as it exists in nature.” he’d said. “Once you can take hold of the candle’s flame, snuff it and relight it with your will alone, you will be ready for the next stage of your training.”
As with Sebastian’s fighting lessons, Ciel was frustrated to no end, perturbed to find he could not immediately pick up on the finer points of the skill he was meant to be learning. He was a demon, for Christ’s sake- he should be a terrible, fearsome thing, not some fourth-form pupil condemned to the corner to copy down lines ad infinitum. He sighed, crossing his arms on the table and leaning his chin into the cradle they made.
To think, he’d been excited about this.
“Lævateinn is an ancient weapon,” Simeon was saying. “It is said to have been crafted from the bone of the Leviathan; a massive, eldritch creature described in biblical scripture among other places. Some versions of its legend have it being cursed by profane magic, while others speak of it as a holy weapon, purifying in its power.” He chuckled. “Given that it is currently in the possession of a demon, I think we can discount its holiness.”
Ask him what it does, Ciel prompted Sebastian, keeping his eyes focused on the candle flame.
“It has the power to instantly destroy the soul of any being it wounds,” Simeon declared as if responding directly to Ciel’s thought.
Ciel bolted upright.
“Did you just read my mind?” he hissed.
“In a manner of speaking,” Simeon confirmed. “When one is as old as I am, the minds of others, mortal or not, become more transparent, allowing me to detect the words and images at the forefront of their consciousness. As a rule, I do try to stay out of others’ thoughts- it is a rather impolite practice, to be sure- not to mention unpleasant at times. In this case, however, it did elicit the response I had aimed for, and so I do hope you will forgive my impertinence.”
“What response?”
With a Cheshire Cat grin spread across his face, Sebastian pointed to the candle- it had gone out.
“Well done, my lord,” Simeon congratulated Ciel. “I had hypothesized that strong emotions might be the key to your powers, after what Sebastian told me about your attack on Earl Trancy- and now that theory seems to have been proven.”
“I’ve seen evidence of it myself,” Sebastian remarked, leaning casually back in his seat. “There was a certain incident in front of the fireplace when I had-”
Ciel slammed his palm flat on the table, hearing the wood crack. “Sebastian Michaelis, if you finish that sentence, I will tear your arms off and beat you to death with them.”
The candle flared back to life. The flame was blue and burned with a healthy, beaming light.
Simeon grinned- it was only this expression that betrayed his infernal nature. “If you could perhaps learn to harness those emotions, call them up and dismiss them at will, you would be most fearsome indeed.”
“Does this mean you’ll finally let me do something other than light a candle?” Ciel asked.
“Yes, yes I believe so,” Simeon answered, and turned to Sebastian. “Impatient, isn’t he?”
“Oh, terribly,” Sebastian agreed. “But then, most children are.”

#61: Loki Laufeyson [Marvel Comics]
[Art Credit: Gabriel Hernandez Walta | Doctor Strange (2015)] ---
I'll start by saying this, my dear Deities... I am not a fan. As a resident mythology nerd, I have a few baseball bats with Marvel decision-makers' names on them. But, I am a bard of the people and therefore shall hear my audience's requests. And thus, we're building Loki Laufeyson as depicted by Marvel Comics. Plenty of changes to the real Loki (which will be featured!), so let's see what we can do.
Next Time: You want more gods, I give you more gods. No more monkey business! Unless the monkey's business is to become immortal.
So, what does this so-called Loki brings to the table:
Tall Tales & Tricks: Loki in most of his iterations is known for his speechcraft and manipulation techniques. This one, however, is also quite fond of spells and various magical practices, specialising however in illusions and shapeshifting (although seemingly limited to mostly humanoid forms).
Tough as... Ice: This Loki is a full frost giant (...shh! Keep the Jotunn lecture for those who ask, Nerdy) with all the physiological advantages. We're talking durability, strength, the entire package.
Shinies & Stabbies: This Loki likes his pointy objects. Daggers and the sword Lævateinn seem to be his particular favourites. Plus, we all remember the glaive/scepter he gets in the movies.
---
To properly represent Loki's Jotunn lineage, we will reach for the "distant cousins of giants" in the world of D&D - Firbolgs, as depicted in Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse. We get +2 Charisma and +1 Constitution, some Firbolg Magic which lets us cast Detect Magic and Disguise Self (once without expending spell slots, unless we have slots to spell - spoilers: we will), ability to turn invisible with Hidden Step, ability to communicate (one way) with nature using the Speech of Beast and Leaf, as well as Powerful Build which makes us count as one category larger for tasks such as carrying, pulling, or lifting.
Loki's many things, but in most instances he is a Charlatan, so that's what we're going with. We gain proficiency in Deception and Sleight of Hand, as well as with disguise and forgery kits (which will be useful to alter our clothes, as it cannot be done via magic). We are also able to craft False Identity for ourselves, completed with an entire past full of tangible evidence. What's better for a foundling child, adopted by a local warlord, who needs to use disguise magic to hid his true form?
ABILITY SCORES
This one's obvious - we are putting our highest score into Charisma, we will be using it most of the time both in and out of combat. We also need to avoid, dodge, and slip into the shadows so Dexterity will be next. Finally, let's grab Constitution, just in case some musclehead with a hammer catches us once in a blue moon.
Intelligence will actually be next, we're good at gathering information and utilising it. Strength comes from our giant lineage, although we rarely get physical. Finally, we're dumping Wisdom - if we had it, we'd learn to not constantly betray our brother or the heroes that gave us a chance (again).
CLASS
Level 1 - Rogue: We will start with our non-magical skills. Rogues get a d8 as their Hit Die, [8 + Constitution modifier] initial Hit Points, proficiencies with light armour, simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords, and thieves' tools. Let's give your standard leather armour, and two daggers plus a shortsword (which what would a Norse primary weapon be, provided you're wealthy enough).
Our saving throws are Dexterity and Intelligence, and we can choose four skills from the class list (Acrobatics, Perception, Performance, and Stealth). Rogues start with Expertise to their skills, doubling the proficiency bonus of two chosen skills; for this Loki, who uses illusions and body switching so often, let's put Expertise in Persuasion and Stealth. We also know Thieves' Cant (can't what? - no, that joke will never not be funny), a system of phrases and symbols used by Rogues to communicate. Slip some Asgardian lingo without worry of revealing plans.
We can also apply Sneak Attack to any attack (with a Finesse or Ranged weapon) that we have an advantage on. The amount of damage increase as we level up; for now it's an extra 1d6.
Level 2 - Rogue: Our quick thinking grants us Cunning Action. We can now take the Dash, Disengage, and Hide Actions as Bonus Actions, allowing for better positioning.
Level 3 - Rogue: Our Sneak Attack bonus now becomes 2d6. We also get to pick our subclass, our Roguish Archetype. I'm guessing some of you would go with Arcane Trickster here, but remember we're focusing on quick and stabby Loki in this part; put on your feather caps, we're going Swashbuckler! With Fancy Footwork, we do not provoke opportunity attacks if we make an attack against the enemy (notice, it doesn't say we need to hit the enemy, so this is a perfect testing-the-waters technique). Thanks to our Rakish Audacity, we can add our Charisma modifier to our Initiative, making us a good scout and once again helping with our positioning.
Additionally at this point, when we're in melee range of an enemy and there's nobody else within 5 feet, we do not need advantage for our Sneak Attack.
Level 4 - Sorcerer: As one wise Loki said "blades are worthless in the face of a Loki Sorcery", so we're going to focus on that now. Multiclassing into Sorcerer does not give us any extra bonuses, but it enables Spellcasting. Charisma is our casting ability and we know catrips and regular spells. Sorcerers get a fixed number of spells. We start with four cantrips (Fire Bolt, Friends, Minor Illusion, and Prestidigitation) and two 1st-level spells (Comprehend Languages and Sleep).
Sorcerers also pick their subclass, their Sorcerous Origin, at this level. We shall circle back to our giant legacy and pick the Giant Soul option from the Unearthed Arcana 51. With the legacy of the Frost Giants embedded in our essence, we gain Jotun Resilience - every level up we get an additional 1 Hit Point. We also carry the Mark of Ordning, which grants us some additional spells; at this level it's Armour of Agathys and Ray of Frost.
Level 5 - Sorcerer: We discover our inner Font of Magic and are now able to convert Sorcery Points into Spell Slots and vice versa. We can also grab another 1st-level spell; let's grab Charm Person to emulate the usage of the Mind Stone.
Level 6 - Sorcerer: We unlock Metamagic, which lets us use Sorcery Points to alter the properties of our spells. We get to choose two options: Quickened Spell uses 2 Sorcery Points to change a spell from Action to Bonus Actions. Subtle Spell uses 1 Sorcery Point to cast a spell without verbal or somatic components - perfect to sneakily place an body double illusion.
We also unlock 2nd-level spells here, so in regards to my previous sentence, let's take Mirror Image. We also get Hold Person from our subclass.
Level 7 - Sorcerer: Time for our first Ability Score Improvement. Let's raise our Charisma and Constitution by one, and then we can move to our spell selection. We get a new cantrip (Green-Flame Blade) and another 2nd-level spell: Misty Step.
Level 8 - Sorcerer: At this level, we normally do not get anything; the optional feature from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything called Magical Guidance lets us spend Sorcer Points to re-roll failed ability checks, but ask your DM about that one.
We do, however, unlock 3rd-level spells, so let's take Major Image to improve the quality of our projections, while we stick to the shadows.
Level 9 - Sorcerer: We get another subclass feature. With Soul of Lost Ostoria, we gain a benefit based on the Giant heritage we've chosen previously. For Frost Giants, after casting one of our Mark of Ordning spells, we get temporary Hit Points equal to our Consitution modifier. We also get another 3rd-level spell; let's grab Antagonise.
Level 10 - Sorcerer: Halfway through the build and unfortunately, we get no class boons here. We do, however, unlock 4th-level spells so let's take Charm Monster to hopefully avoid potential non-human fights... or to cause them.
Level 11 - Sorcerer: Time for another ASI. Let's put points into Constitution and Wisdom, and then grab another 4th-level spell: Greater Invisibility.
Level 12 - Sorcerer: Once again, we get nothing class-wise. We do unlock 5th-level spells now, so let's take Creation to have an opportunity to always have a tool or a wepon on our hands.
Level 13 - Sorcerer: We get to pick another Metamagic option here. With Extended Spell, we can extend the duration of our spells (if available) by spending Sorcery Points to a maximum of 24 hours. Useful to keep some illusions or the Creation spell we've picked up last level.
We also pick up our last cantrip of the build (Mending) and another 5th-level spell; this time, let's get Telekinesis to reorganise the environment around us (and pick some loose trinkets laying in the open).
Level 14 - Sorcerer: Once again, no new class boons but we do unlock 6th-level spells. With Mass Suggestion, we can now convince an entire crowd of mortals to bow down before us (or perhaps vote us President).
Level 15 - Sorcerer: For our next ASI, we will increase our Dexterity by two points to get better AC and Initiative options.
Level 16 - Sorcerer: Unlocking 7th-level spells, we can now use Teleport to call up a lift from Heimdall. Just make sure to collect some knick-knacks from the place you want to teleport to for a better chance of actually going there. Spatial travel's tough.
Level 17 - Sorcerer: For our final subclass option of the build, we are able to unleash the Rage of Fallen Ostoria. When casting a spell, we can spend one additional Sorcerer Point to transform into our Giant Form. For 1 minute, we become one category size larger and gain the following benefits:
Our current Hit Points and Hit Points Maximum increase by 1 per Sorcerer Level.
Our reach increases by 5 feet.
Our speed increases by 5 feet.
We have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
We get a bonus damage to our weapon attacks equal to our Constitution modifier.
Level 18 - Sorcerer: Once again, no class boons, but we do unlock 8th-level spells. To once again hopefully avoid combat, let's use the power of the Norse Runes and grab Power Word: Stun.
Level 19 - Sorcerer: For our final ASI of the build, let's cap our Charisma to 20. Who knows, maybe the BBEG would be so willing to step down after having a nice little chat.
Level 20 - Sorcerer: For our capstone as Sorcerer 16, we get to enhance our Metamagic yet again. For the late game, let's get Twinned Spell to add one additional target to some of spells (like Telekinesis, Charm Monster, Major Image, etc.).
---
And this is what I can do for the Marvel Comics version of Loki. Let's see what story I came up with:
First of all, we have a fantastic Initiative score. With a +7, we are almost certain to start every combat first which gives us fantastic opportunity to hide, reposition, or distract the enemy before they even make their move. Because this is what we are: we're a skirmisher, a supporter. We have enough to protect ourselves with but mostly we use Crowd Control and sticking to the back lines. We are first and formost the Party's out-of-combat Face for all social interactions.
Our AC is 14 and we have the average of 153 Hit Points.
Despite a solid identity as the Face, our Wisdom score is absolutely abysmal, which is not really great considering that is one of the most used and abused by the enemies. We are very vulnerable to any charmed or feared effects, so it's best to avoid being seen or invest into some magic item protection.
---
So that is it. You guys want more gods, I listen and serve. It's good to be back in the character building saddle. I'll see you soon with another breakdown build, my friends <3

I know chances are slim, but I would so love if they went back to the idea of Loki having a new look at the end of the series based on the comics, which is just gorgeously illustrated in the art book but is lacking two important accessories: Sylvie's broken horns, and Lævateinn.

Was reading my book of Norse myths and one mention’s Loki’s sword/wand lævateinn ‘The Wounding Wand’. It was made by Loki but is kept safe by Sinmora and all this to say I need a GOW Ragnarok DLC where Atreus and all his want to be self sufficient makes Lævateinn and along the way on his journeys it maybe breaks and maybe he learns some of Sinmara’s magic/Dwarf magic to help mend it!
GIVE ATREUS A SWORD DAMMIT—

Amenomonaka's main 4 aka main protagonists of Senki Zesshō Symphogear Σ (Symphogear fanseries)
Miyabi Momori (Vo., Bass, Holder of Lævateinn Relic)
Miyabi is the only child of a happy, married couple that owns a Wagashi Shop, being named "Momoha*Wagashi". Their current treat, the Momo Wagashi, is currently a big hit at the Momoha*Wagashi shop. Miyabi's own and actual appearance is mostly hidden by her stage name, that being "Momoha". Miyabi is a bit vain and is pretty obsessive with popularity and being in the spotlight, she tries to not let it show whenever she is in public because of Yuki saying that it would ruin her repetition as a band leader.
Kibikyō Wakane (Rhy. Guitar, Holder of Moraigoth Relic
A novice relic holder and rhythm guitarist of Amenomonaka. Kibikyo is a childish and music-loving scholar who is in the same class as Suzura and Urara. Kibikyo has yet to master the Symphogear, as sometimes she would do something to make her go into a berserk state, as the girls almost find it instantly pointless to keep her from doing this. Her relic is Moragoth.
Ayumi Suzura (Drums, Holder of Gilgamesh Relic)
Suzura is a tomboy who is in the same class as Kibikyo and Urara. She also works as a part timer at a cafe, yet is even a little too busy to come and aid other Symphogear users with defeating the noise, much to their dismay. She is even cautious with transforming in public.
Yuki Aoyose (Lead. Guitar, Holder of Fenrir Relic)
Yuki used to live in cold places with her parents before moving to Japan, hence where she got her name from when it snowed a lot there. Yuki appears to be less talkitive and silent, and also staying out of unneccessary trouble. She also appears to be an advice giver, as any personal advice seems to slip out of her tounge and embarrass a few people.

favorite legendary sword?
The Ame-No-Murakamo literally gives you control over the winds? What's not to love.
Lævateinn is a sword crafted by Loki. It might also be Freyr's sword that can fight by itself. That's a fun one.
I also mentioned earlier, the castelian blade Colada (steel), an unassuming blade that grants it's wielder the ability to intimidate even the most terrifying of foes.
