Hello Hero Club, and welcome to a review for the Uchu Sentai Kyuranger Kyutama Gattai 04 DX Tenbin Voyager! This is Tenbin Gold’s Voyager which is based on the Libra constellation. Included with the Tenbin Voyager is the Tenbin Kyutama. Now, Tenbin Gold and Tenbin Voyager made their debut in the second episode of Kyuranger.

One of the late-Heisei Super Sentai seasons, and I must confess - one that I haven't seen. But all of the costume designs and the robots? Incredible.

It's high on my list to watch for that reason alone.

I saw this DX KyurenOh when the show premiered back in 2017 - and I picked it up soon after.

As much as I love them, I'm not usually so quick to buy DX Sentai toys - but this design just knocked me out.

Techy detail all over the figures, those clear plastic orbs, and big chunky proportions - all things that instantly appeal to me.

It's also a "Scramble City" style combiner - a Transformers term for combining robots whose limb pieces can be used for any arm or leg. This gives you a ton of possibilities for different robot configurations. Especially if you have any of the add-on robots - you could even have a whole robot with 4 of the same limb.

It's a great package. A modular robot than disassembles into five robotic animals, Kyutama orbs with interactive elements - and the robot itself cuts an incredible silhouette. Beautifully detailed sculpt, and vibrant colors.

I'm definitely going to keep my eyes out for more of the Kyutama robots. As long as they're on the discount end of pricing, and not collector aftermarket prices.

My Top 10 Sentai/Power Rangers Mecha

Number 10:

Kaito X Gattai X Emperor Slash (Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger) Most of the LuPat mecha are terrible. But this (and PatKaiser) are an exception. The sort of knight-like face, with the crossed X as the body really does it for me. And, the head isn’t 20 feet tall like Gunner’s is. 

Number 9:

GoZyuJin/Q-Rex Megazord (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger/Power Rangers Super Megaforce) Second sixth ranger mecha in a row, heh. Anyway, the blue gold and silver really does it for me. It also does a good job of representing Zyuranger, Timeranger and Abaranger through its modes, although making it a combining robot a la Killer Oh would have been a better touch. Oh, also its theme is badass.

Number 8:

Mashin Gattai Kiramaizin (Mashin Sentai Kiramager) Sure, Kiramaizin is basically Ground Mage with Helico and Jetter stuck onto it. But the face is face and arms are what sell it to me. They just exude...power. Sure, it’s a bit iffy that Jetter is just a sword, not even part of the actual robot, but it’s still something nice to look at. I also like, if I’m not mistaken, how the name Kiramaizin translates to “Sparkling Mage God”

Number 7:

Super Live Robo (Choujuu Sentai Liveman)

The first ultimate combining mecha in the franchise. And it shows. Sure, it’s a little bulky, but it has an air of power around it. Truly, it is capable of protecting all life.

Number 6:

Ryusoul Gattai Kishiryu Neptune Shadow Raptor/Mosa Shadow Megazord (Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger/Power Rangers Dino Fury) This is everything I loved about Neptune but now with a fucking velociraptor of the shadows involved. The head is rather intimidating, yet elegant. It’s like the kid who sits alone at lunch that you eat with because you feel bad for them, but you really like after spending time with them. Also, black and blue is always a go. Mostly...

Number 5: 

Samurai Henkei DaiKaiOh Minami/Claw Battlezord South (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger/Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai) As you can see from my avatar, I like this mecha. The face is the most aesthetically pleasing among the DaiKaiOh modes, and the twin swords really do it for me, especially considering Gold’s debut, where he shows how skilled he is at using a blade.

Number 4: 

Kyutama Gattai KyurenOh with Sasori, Washi, Chameleon and Ookami Voyagers (Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger) Combining the most interesting idea for a mecha, with my favorite Kyuranger’s Voyager and my favorite Voyager as the arms is bound to get on this list. The raw power this thing exudes, with the bladed wings of the Washi Voyager and the sting of the Sasori Voyager’s blasts, it leaves me in awe. 

Number 3: 

Ressha Gattai Build Dai-Oh (Ressha Sentai ToQger) While I’m confused as to why it’s considered a combination when it’s only one train, I really like the look on this thing, with the X’s n the legs and the crane head. Also, it has the coolest transformation sequence ever.

Number 2:

Engine Gattai Seikuu-O/Mach Megazord (Engine Sentai Go-Onger/Power Rangers RPM) The mask on the head, the giant fucking whale head on the front. The fact that a fucking tiger and whale are flying. It’s one of the best sixth ranger mechs in my opinion, from the simplistic design (that would not be followed through with) and the finishing move is just perfection.

Number 1:

Shinsei Gattai Kiba DaiOh/Mega Tigerzord (Gosei Sentai Dairanger/Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Season Two) Everything about this combination just screams grandeur. From the literal crown on the head, to being the first sixth ranger + main ranger combination (Zyutei DaiZyuJin/Mega Dragonzord does not count. That is a hat). The best mecha in the franchise, 100/10. Mwah, mwah.

Kyutama Gattai: DX Kyutama Cockpit Set 2

I painted everybody! They’re not perfect; they’re a much softer plastic than something like Gunpla or a Zord, so it’s harder to clean up using an exacto knife. You can kinda push the paint into itself, but not really off. Still, it’s cool to have the tiny team, I’m just really missing KogumaSkyBlue. I don’t know when Set 3 is coming out, nor who it’s coming with. I’m guessing KogumaSkyBlue, HououSoldier, and OrionShishiRed. Maybe a Cerberus Kyutama, I don’t know.

I’m gonna say this time that having a second set of Kyutamas isn’t a bad thing now that we’ve seen the Giganto Houou combination. With Cerberus Voyager, it’s possible to have both completed 2nd and 3rd quarter combinations. I still recommend you wait until you find one at sale price, though.

Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger 12 + 13

(Since life distracted me, I got delayed and had to watch these two back to back. Here we go!) • Episode 12: So our beloved Lucky is still unlucky, not even getting a space from the Kyulette! Our righteous leader walks off, he is followed by Commander Xiao - Lucky reveals his childhood to us, how he was born unlucky. The commander denies it, and simply tells Lucky that his faith in his fortune gives him his luck, it's also what truly made him Shishi Red in the first place. Lucky is hesitant to accept this, enters a very angry Garu, who tells Lucky to grit his teeth and socks him in the face (Personally I would to, if my sole inspiration decided to give up on me after bringing me out this far) - he leaves Lucky on the floor while the others confront Ikagen. They learn that this villain has no foresight, but rather just unrealistically great eye tracking. Everyone tries a head on attack but nothing works - Lucky steps in at the last minute, using the Gemini Kyutama to multiply himself by the hundred; defeating Ikagen's limited eyesight. Of course, like every minor boss, he doesn't die until AFTER the robot fight. Boom!! In comes our first 'gattai' between Kyuren-Oh and Ryutei-Oh - "Ryutei-Kyuren-Oh"!! This bad boy is HUGE!!! They all defeat Ikagen with a swift blow, finally killing him for good. After Lucky gets his luck back and everyone is celebrating; Madako is sent to greet the Scorpio Magistrate; whom thanks Madako and tells her "he looks forward to the job, and meeting someone he hasn't met in a long time". • Episode 13: So, after retrieving the Pixis Kyutama, the team strategize what to do next to find the last two Kyutama to locate the Argo. Before they can blink, the monitor reveals humans attacking each other - but the attacking humans seem "zombified"; a team is sent down to investigate - apparently Jark Matter Magitrate officers and lackies have also been zombified; Hammy gets infected during the scuffle. They push the zombified humans back and retreated to a warehouse - Lucky and Champ attempted to hold the infected Hammy down, Stinger proceeded to sting her. Champ nearly socks Stinger, before learning that she was stung with an antidote. Stinger sends a formula of the antidote back to the Orion and awaits the rest of the team; when everyone is present and accounted for - we finally learn of Scorpio, Stinger's older brother, who turned to the Dark Side (or in this case, the Jark Side). Lucky comes to the realization that Scorpio killed Champ's professor/creator, and this puts our robotic cow at a shock. Stinger vows to finish the job himself - soon the team hauls the antidote out onto the streets during the infected, in between this Stinger is confronted by Kotaro - who calls Stringer a liar, that he still believes his brother had some good in him; a reason behind the whole "be someone your brother can be proud of" speech. It was cut short when Champ arrives with Lucky and Commander Xiao as back-up. Having no hate for Stinger, he warms up to our scorpion and helps defeat the infected Jark Matter lackies; referring to Stringer as 'partner'. They tagteam their way through the battlefield, finally offing the infected Magistrate with their All Star Crash! And wouldn't ya know! He's also infected when he's a giant, how 'bout that?! In steps Ryutei-Oh to stop the beast, using all their might to finally defeat it once and for all. After the fight, everyone is having a celebration to send Kotaro off back to the Rebellion HQ to receive official training and education, Stinger and Champ are out and aren't at the party. Kotaro tells everyone that he doesn't feel bad for leaving because he trusts Stinger, and Stinger trusts him back. Now back on Earth, we see dear old bro Scorpio on the roof of a building, complimenting his brother's fighting; attacking an infected Magistrate officer with...a Kiva leg troupe (you'll know if you've watched Kamen Rider Kiva) - instantly killing him and leaving a permanent symbol on the wall. So, what's up next for Episode 14? Infiltration mission at a swanky Jark Matter Joint?! Garu is a lady?! -- oh wait, that's a disguise.. And how cute is Hammy in a maid uniform?! Let's all find out next week to see the excitement!!

Bandai Japan has updated the official Super Sentai toy sub page with official images of the DX Kyutama Gattai 13 Orion Battler from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.  As stated in the previous set of scans the DX Orion Battler will be a combination of the Battle Orion Ship and the Orion Voyager. The mecha will have four different modes and will feature various lights/ sounds. The mecha will include the Orion and All Voyager Kyutama. The DX Kyutama Gattai 13 Orion Battler is set to release on October 7 in Japan priced at 12,000 Yen (before tax).

Bandai’s website has listed up the product page for Mini-Pla Kyutama Gattai Series 06. Mini-Pla Kyutama Gattai 06 will feature our newest mecha, Orion Battler! Orion Battler consists of the Orion Voyager, and the Orion Battleship. The Orion Battler is paired with Shishi Red Orion, making its debut in episode 32. The Orion Battleship can hold three additional Voyagers, and become the Orion Bazooka. However, the official gallery omits the combination with other Voyagers at this time.

Now, like the previous series, Orion Battle will be sold in three different ways; singularly sold in parts, a complete set, and as a case. Preferably one should order a complete set, unless one prefers having additional Voyagers to customize. Mini-Pla Kyutama Gattai Series 06 is set to release mid-October. Whereas, the exact date listed is Tuesday, October 17th. For those interested in ordering a complete set of all six parts, its retail price is set at 2,268 yen.

Today, Bandai Japan updated their website with the official listing for DX Houou Voyager, Houou Soldier’s signature mecha. The DX Houou Voyager will include the DX Houou Kyutama, and will be able to separate into its various components. In addition, the toy will feature lights and sounds. The Houou Voyager will be able to combine with the Houou Station and Houou Base to become Gigant HouOh. Furthermore, by utilizing the other Kyurangers’ henshin-related Kyutamas, and the Shishi Voyager, it will allow Gigant HouOh to further combine into Kyutamajin. The DX Houou Voyager will be sold at retail for 9,180 yen, and will be released on July 29.
