So, I'm currently watching Barry season 4, and I noticed some cyclicality of events of 1 season and 3 season, to be more preceicive the cyclicity of events that made Barry react in a certain way. And I personally think that season 3 was an apogee of Barry development as a character. So, in the episode when mr. Kuzino asked his students to show the event Barry went trought in Afghanistan, they showed it as people who have never actually was in a battlefield, fighting and being under adrenaline rush for every desicion snd move they made. They demonstrate ot absolutely opposite of what happened in reality, especially Barry's reaction on when he made this legendary shot of his. The difference of how he react in reality and how other people, normal people portrayed this event was really drastical, so it made Barry realized how wrong was his own reaction, so he lied, telling everyone that it what happened exactly. I'm sure at that moment he was ashamed of himself. And I also think that this scene was a starting point in Barry's character development. The realisation of the fact that he isn't a good person hit him, so he stsrt seeking reassurance that it isn't true by asking mr. Kuzino or even Hank. The realisation of it also formed his high interest in acting class because he understood that if he won't become someone he will become nameless killer. He will become no one. Honourable mentioned the scene from season 1 in which Sally asked him if he knows how it's feel when everyone tell you who are you. Barry said that he doesn't know, ehich is absolutely bulshit because among all people thst were in the house Barry was the only one who actually knew how it feels like. Being told what to do for most of his life might have unfluenced his self-perception as well, so he really knows how it feels like. "We are not talking about bthe same things, we are not. If I don't do this, I don't live. I have to do this to fucking live!" So, I'm assuming that all Barry's character is based on a fear of not becoming "someone"

So I’m learning Esperanto, which in case you aren’t aware is a conlang made in Europe in the 1880s that was intended to become a universal second language, so the grammar is designed to be very simple, as is the vocabulary if you speak a (Western) European language
But I have a major pet peeve regarding it. Unlike many of the languages it was based on (looking at you romance languages) it doesn’t have gendered objects, but there is genders when it comes to words describing people, which fair enough, a lot of languages have this, but the way Esperanto does it annoys the hell out of me
So for those of you who haven’t studied Esperanto, here’s an example. Patro is Esperanto for Father. To turn that word into the word for mother, you add an -in- before the -o, so Mother is Patrino. And it does this for most words. Viro=Man Virino=Woman, Avo=Grandfather Avino=Grandmother, Fratro=Brother Fratrino=Sister, etc. But this doesn’t just stop where gendered words end in English, so you get stuff like Amiko=Male Friend, Amikino=Female Friend, or like Kuzo=Male Cousin Kuzino=Female Cousin
And then to make one of those neutral, you have to add the prefix ge-, so if you want to say parents rather than fathers, you’d say gepatroj rather than patroj. But that seems kinda awkward and inflexible to me. Why is the base word automatically masculine? And the thing that annoys me the most is how easy of a fix it would be if there were both a masculine and a feminine infix there, like having -ir- taking the place of -in- in those words to make them masculine. So you’d have words like kuziro, amikiro, kokiro(rooster), etc. And then you can have more general neutral words
#martian ramblings#overall i like learning esperanto#but this annoys me SO MUCH#i get the need for gendered words for people#but it's so annoying the way esperanto does it#and if both genders have infixes it makes it so much easier#as of right now in my studies#the only other thing I would change is adding an inclusive vs exclusive 'we'#because I think all languages could be improved with an inclusive vs exclusive we#linguistics#also i think a big reason this bothers me is this is a ~130 year old constructed language#so it was DESIGNED this way#rather than occurring over the course of centuries/millennia

Day 146: Sailing the Waterways of the Tsars on a Viking River Cruise
Day 146: Sailing the Waterways of the Tsars on a Viking River Cruise
Day 146 of the Nowhere To Be Project is dedicated to a full review of my most recent river cruise in Russia. Of all of the cruises I’ve done (over 50), this was the most unique. As a child of the Cold War, I was taught to fear Russia. Of course this background made it even more appealing when the chance to visit arose due the mystery of it all. It was also different from my other voyages with…

Viking River Cruises - Russia River Cruise
St. Petersburg, Mandrogy, Kizhi, Kuzino, Yaroslavl, Uglich, Moscow
Having cruised with Viking River Cruises a few times previously, we previously had pre-imagined thoughts of what's in store on our 13-day Waterways of the Czars voyage from St. Petersburg to Moscow. We even did some pre-journey research online by perusing audits on different sites from other people who had been on this indistinguishable voyage and boat. The surveys were blended, so we were scrutinizing our assumptions which depended all alone previous involvement in Viking River Cruises.
THE SHIP
At the point when we previously moved toward Viking Ingvar docked in St. Petersburg, the main thing that struck us was how much bigger it was than other waterway boats on which we have cruised. Dissimilar to Viking River Cruises' European boats, which ordinarily convey 150 visitors (new "longships" convey 190), Viking Ingvar conveys up to 206 visitors. The boat was totally repaired in 2011 and they are dead serious when they say "totally". The state of the boat was one of our interests subsequent to perusing a portion of the audits. Be that as it may, when we ventured on board Viking Ingvar it seemed to be a fresh out of the plastic new boat! You could never realize that this boat was sent off in 1989. The Scandinavian, contemporary inside with light hued woods might seem sterile to some, yet it overflows present day and originality.
Ships that sail in Russia must be inherent Russia, so Viking River Cruises is to some degree restricted to the Russian-fabricated boat's unique plan and floorplan. Be that as it may, when this boat was initially built during the Soviet Union period, conveying in excess of 424 guests was planned! Obviously, the Soviets were not enthusiastic about familiar luxuries. This is the thing you will find on each deck:
Fundamental Deck: 200-series staterooms, Reception Desk, Library, little Internet Cafe with 2 workstations and printer, and a pleasant gift shop. Center Deck: 300-series staterooms, Neva Restaurant, Coffee station, public bathrooms Upper Deck: 400-series staterooms, Panorama Bar Sun Deck: Sky Bar, Sun Deck Every single public space, passages and staterooms were remembered for the boat's new refurb, so everything looks new and new. Stephan Busch, Hotel Manager, makes sure that the boat is kept flawlessly perfect. There is one lift locally available.
Web access is free and accessible 24 hours per day through the two workstations in the Internet Cafe on the Main Deck, or, by utilizing the boat's Wi-Fi with your own PC or Wi-Fi proficient gadget. Undoubtedly, the Internet administration on Viking Ingvar was without a doubt the best I have encountered on any waterway voyage. What an unexpected treat! I had the option to post my day to day blog every day and stay aware of email, no issue. Obviously, similar to any stream voyage, there were times when the assistance was dropped. Whenever a boat goes through a lock, for instance; this is only a specialized truth of waterway cruising. Likewise, when we were far north on Lake Onega, administration was inaccessible for a significant stretch. Other than that, I have no bad things to say. In addition to the fact that internet was accessible all through the boat, even in our stateroom, association speeds were fair. Well done!
Smoking isn't allowed anyplace inside the boat. Smoking is allowed in assigned regions outwardly decks.
With the notoriety of stream cruising, it is typical to have a few boats moor at a similar dock next to each other, restricting to one another, making it important to stroll through the entryway of at least one different boats to get to the shore. Thus, before you open your drapes, know that you may be eye-to-eye with the inhabitants on the boat that is restricted to your boat! Viking Helgi was cruising similar agenda we were so it was actually typical to need to stroll through her entryway. Since she looks basically indistinguishable from Viking Ingvar, you needed to focus on be certain you were on the right boat. At one put on our schedule, I think we needed to stroll through no less than four boats to get to the shore and there were ships on the opposite side of us whose travelers needed to stroll through in excess of five boats!
Facilities
Our class AX Deluxe stateroom #415 is situated on the Upper Deck of Viking Ingvar. As indicated by the Viking River Cruises writing, the stateroom has 160 sq. ft. I neglected to pack my measuring tape, so I will trust them. The stateroom feels bigger than past Viking River Cruises lodges. Like the remainder of Viking Ingvar, the staterooms went through complete reclamation in 2011, and it is self-evident. The lodge looks fresh out of the plastic new. As a matter of fact, the photographs on their site don't show the new bed cloths which incorporate agreeable European-style duvets. Click here Viking
In light of the boat's construction, there is a post in our room. It was odd to see it from the beginning, however following a day, you don't for even a moment notice it. There is an enormous picture window on the back divider that watches out over a promenade deck. You can really open this window by curving the handle at the top and sliding the window down. This was an incredible component for taking pictures from the stateroom. Simply recall that your window opens onto a public promenade! Additionally, there is no screen on the window, so be mindful so as not to give any flying bugs access. In 2013, the boat will go through additional redesigns to change over that promenade into individual verandas for the staterooms.
The two twin beds (consolidated to frame a sovereign estimated bed for our situation) are on one divider with nightstands which are mounted to the divider. Each nightstand is fundamentally a little table top and a solitary rack for capacity. There are light switches close to each bed to control the singular understanding light and other lodge lighting. There is additionally a 220 outlet over every night stand. The beds are firm, however agreeable and the new cloths, duvets and pads are truly agreeable. There is a lot of room under the beds to store void gear.
On the divider confronting the beds is a long work area/diversion/bar console. There is a great deal of tabletop space for your PC, cameras, or other individual things. A bowl of products of the soil filtered water can be found here also. You will likewise observe a phone and the Quiet Vox charging station situated here. A huge mirror over the work area permits this region to be utilized as a vanity. There is a little stool under where you can sit and put on cosmetics, or work on your PC. Ingvar's planners worked really hard of including a lot of power plugs. There are two 220 Euro-style outlets at the work area and a solitary 110 US-style outlet. However long you pack a couple of Euro-to-US prong connectors, you ought to be all set! One thing Rickee would have gotten a kick out of the chance to have had was an amplifying cosmetics reflect on the work area. There was a lot of space for itself and even source for the attachment in the event that it were a lit amplifying mirror. That would be an incredible expansion!
Concerning capacity, there is a respectable measured wardrobe to hold your hanging things and adequate room under for shoes. A huge rack over the holders is one more space for capacity of things. The main cabinet in the stateroom is the little cabinet under the work area. Creators selected racks rather than drawers. There are three open racks close to the smaller than expected cooler. On one or the other side of the work area, there is a three-rack unit behind pivoted entryways. The utilization of racks rather than drawers is probably going to downplay lodge clamor. Assuming you have at any point been stirred by the sound of hammering drawers, you will see the value in the utilization of racks. There are additionally four snares on the rear of the lodge entryway, ideal for hanging coats, covers, rucksacks, and so forth. In light of the post in our room, there could be no other table, however there is a seat.
The restroom is really common. There is a great measured give slow down drape. A little vanity top and a three-rack reflected medication bureau offers a lot of room for most private things. There is additionally a rack under the sink/vanity. The sink is huge and has a new, present day fixture. All restroom installations look pristine and everything worked faultlessly. What's more, Ingvar's designers have sorted out some way to make a boat's latrine flush without a stream motor at max throttle! The vacuum framework is murmur calm. Robes and shoes are accessible upon demand. Pleasant L'Occitane conveniences are given in the washroom and recharged depending on the situation.
The 26" level screen Sony TV is mounted high and can be effectively seen from the bed. There is likewise excellent programming including CNN International, BBC World, CNBC, a film channel, a boat's channel and a few unfamiliar stations. Sadly, no Fox News or Sky News on this cruising. There is a little electronic protected under the TV for assets. There is sufficient space between the finish of the bed and the work area, so that assuming one individual is situated at the work area the other individual can stroll behind them (we have been in certain lodges where you need to slither across the end There is adequate space between the finish of the bed and the work area, so that on the off chance that one individual is situated at the work area the other individual can stroll behind them (we have been in certain lodges where you need to creep across the finish of the bed to move beyond somebody situated at the work area). The bed and bedding are agreeable and we love the pads and duvets. The lodge is sensibly peaceful, to some extent because of the utilization of racks rather than drawers and lodge entryways that nearby discreetly without closing. On the off potential for success that individuals are having the corridor talking, you can hear them. Luckily, everybody on our floor was typically exceptionally obliging and we had no clamor issues. The A/C framework functions admirably and will freeze you out of the room assuming you wrench it up. There is an indoor regulator to change temperature, yet no on/off switch. The housekeeping administrations were as great or better than ever on. Our stateroom orderly, Damira, kept our stateroom totally flawlessly perfect. Rickee coincidentally strolled in on Damira one day and she was in the restroom on all fours cleaning the floor! I noticed her in the lobby one day really cleaning down the door jambs. She even perfect

Okay so I fought my way through the jet lag and I’m in the process of creating a big imgur album of the whole trip, but my phone decided to run out of memory and refuse to let me take photos midway through the trip, so I’m relying on my grandmother to post her photos before I can actually give a complete album, so I’m waiting on that for now
In the meantime, I saw the Hermitage, Catherine’s Palace, the Church on Spilled Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Peter and Paul Fortress, Peterhof Palace, a ballet performance in the Mariinsky Theatre, a Cossack dance show, a Soviet kommunalka apartment, I visited a banya, I toured a monastery and a secondary school in Kuzino, I toured the city of Yaroslavl, I visited a jeweler’s home in Uglich, I went to the Red Square and inside of the Kremlin, and I saw the Cosmonaut Museum, so if anyone has any questions I am totally willing to blather on about the experience

Lesson XXXIII - Exercises
La invito
The invitation
Yesterday morning my cousin visited our house, and invited me to a small party which will happen tomorrow afternoon. Then he will celebrate the last day of the year. He said that the guests would sit around the hearth and tell stories until a late hour. I accepted his courteous invitation, and said that I would certainly come.
My cousin lives in the same city as my family [lives], but in another part. His home is almost two miles [away] from mine. Nonetheless, we are good companions, and often walk together.
Just when he was about to exit out the door yesterday, I used the opportunity to propose a short walk. He answered that he would gladly walk with me, despite the snowy weather. So we walked away to the place where the streets were the least muddy.
We talked about many interesting things, and very well amused ourselves, until [when] it was necessary to go home. My cousin said “goodbye”, and went home directly home, but I went to a big shop. Firstly, I wanted to buy a pair of new gloves, to replace the old gloves which I still was wearing, although I bought them three months ago. Secondly, I needed a pair of new shoes.
I went into the shop where there were hanging such gloves, as I liked, and someone immediately came to meet me, and asked “Which clothes do you want to buy?” I was shown almost a score of pairs of gloves. I chose a very good pair, and was just about to buy them, despite the too high price, when I saw another prettier pair. So I bought this one, and afterward I looked at the shoes. I found a notably good pair [maybe “I notably found a good pair”?], because there were hundreds of shoes in that shop. I immediately bought that pair, and then I went home.
Sentences for translation
