Noon pt 2

"I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm going to be King of the Pirates. I need someone like you on my crew." the boy, Luffy, says his face beaming marking him as probably the most real person Zoro had ever seen.

Zoro scoffed at the idea, "I'm not going to be a pirate." but the boy was gone. So fast that in his state he almost started to question his presence.

"He's like that." the pink smudge of a boy says as he moves to the bindings on Zoro's arms, "He just wraps you up in whatever he wants and drags you along."

"You're a pirate too?" Zoro asks

"No, well… not really."

Zoro blinks his eyes  trying to bring them back into focus, but it feels like has been staring directly into the sun for a week.

"He rescued me, and he's going to help me become a marine."

"Pirates helping marines, now?" Zoro couldn't manage to roll his eyes.

"Look, Pinky, you got any food? I might as well eat something if they're just going to try to kill me anyway. I think there was a rice ball around here?"

Koby quickly looks around before finding a stepped on mush. "I, I guess."

"Fuck it, its food and I don't care about the dirt."

Luffy returns in a riot of sound right as Koby finishes shoving what bits of rice he could find in the dirt into Zoro's mouth.

"There were three of them I didn’t know which was yours." Luffy says waving them at Zoro.

"They're all mine." he says as he looks at the only person he can see clearly."

"Join my crew." Luffy repeats as Koby manages to get one of Zoro's arms free.

"Sure." Zoro gives a defeated sound as he feels the tension leave his body. He reaches for his swords and frees himself. He feels for a moment the touch of Luffy's hand he takes his swords back. Some part of his body and brain feel like something new has been awakened in him.

Memories of a distant past of someone telling him that it is in his nature to serve, but only a worthy master. Memories of distant Wano and of men from more criminal paths swearing their swords to a worthy leader. A pirate captain lead only the willing, he had been asked and he was being armed by this boy, no, man who declared his goal so freely.

He couldn't help but fall when the last of his bonds broke, barely catching himself on his white-sheathed sword -- Kuina's sword. It was like a revelation; he would have followed her to the ends of the sea, a worthy leader rarely appeared and never more than once.

"Point me at your enemies." he said, "Captain."

My sword is yours.

Garp and his three Godly Grandsons

It had been months since Kolby and Helmepo became his students. They both were exceptional. Koby was ignorant of that mark of Tsuisu left on him.

"Koby, do you know of the ancient gods of the world?" Garp questioned across the Wei Chi boared

"Not all of them, sir." Koby siad "I know there are multiple. But the one I'm fermilar with is Nika."

It was understandable. The kid was trapped for 2 years on a pirateship. Nika was an obvious choice for a situation like his.

Garp thought of his own mark that all three of the little rascals admitted to doing, but some instinct said there could only be one. His bet was that Astrus did it.

"Well, they are more than Myth Koby." Garp fished in his drawer for the gift Sabo left in his quarters. Without saying hello again.

"This is a collection of their mythos it helps to be at least familiar of their stories."

"Thank you, Sir." Acepted the book.

"Don't let anyone else read it." Garp warned

When he finally encountered the runaway Luffy, he saw the moment Koby entered Luffy's sight.

Luffy shouted in the ancient tongue. Garp wouldn't be surprised if it translated to (Tsuitsu you theif )or (bastard ). Luffy wrapped his stretchy limbs around Koby wailing.

Garp sighed. " Luffy yes I know your brother marked him. Now will you just let go." He grabbed Luffy by the scruff.

"But Koby was going to be Mine" Luffy wailed.

"Not another god scuffle," Garp groaned " don't attack your brother for this Luffy. we can't have another Storm like the one you and that other kid had over Shanks."

"Koby!"

Luffy stopped crying. Clutching his head but had released his student.

"Old Man what was that for?" Luffy accused.

"Scram before I have to arrest you Brat!"

It was close to a month latter when Astrus appeared on his ship. Feet kicked up on his table. Shackled.

"what's this I hear about Sabo swippeing a mark from Luffy?" Ace said. Unbothered by the chains around him.

"Ace please go back to the Cell. I can't deal with you slipping out."

"Come on Gramps tell me The details "

"How did you come to this information?" Garp said. Knowing that there was no messenger god running around. As far as he knew.

"Jimbe mentioned that the Revolutionary's God was smug about something."

Garp growled hiding his face in his hands. "Promised me you won't get into a fight over this with your brothers."

"Shit, it's That bad."

"Yes, I would rather not experience what two of you can do, with your gathered powers." The event he was talking about was long before he reunited Nika with his elder brothers. It was when Nika and Kanato fought over Shanks and his crew. A giant storm picked up where they were. That was with them confined to the bodies of children and Minor miracles. Garp really didn't want to find out what fully functional Gods could do.

" Fine I promise I won't fight my younger brothers over this." Ace swore holding his followers sign of promise.

"It's my new student. He arrived at his conscription post with Luffy. But at some point before I arrived. Sabo marked him. " Garp said.

"Once someone is marked there's not much to fight over. Unless their multi attuned. Then it's a matter of persuasion to shift the mark from one to their preference." Ace shrugged "Has there been any Gifts delivered?"

"Yes a book on Mythology of you all, and A sun pendant from Nika." Garp said.

Ace grinned wickedly. Producing a small book on star navigation. From nowhere.

" Give that to your student." Then the God of the Stars vanished. Laughter remaining behind.

"Roger you're a Bastard that left me to deal with your consequences" Garp groaned.

Yet he loved his Grandsons. That also happened to be millennia older than him. They were all Gods after all.

i finally got to watching the one piece live action on netflix and. my god. i cannot believe.

two things:

at first zoro is all “we’re not a crew” but then nami at some point is like “you’re the first mate, go talk to him” and he’s like ‘oh shit, i am’ so he goes and talks to him. and even before that he starts showing unwavering devotion to luffy when they’re dealing with cabaji.

and then sanji. he treats luffy normally and as soon as luffy is like “i love your food” the man practically melts and by the point luffy invites him to join the crew, he’s basically twirling his hair and smiling all bashful.

like. luffy got 2 of the moat powerful fighters without barely even trying. my god. they are practically smitten with him.

I cannot stress just how much i NEED to know what the Rocky Port incident is. Ik that we'll probably find out in the future but I need to know it NOW

Diary of Koby-Meppo is the sweetest cover page story in One Piece. Putting the two together was so precious for both of them.

The great thing about cover stories is being updated on the lives of all the other characters, but I think what happens in their 30 pages is the best.

These two guys that happened to be on opposite side of a fight (I wouldn't say they were directly “enemies”, to be honest. Their antagonism was only because of Luffy, Zoro and Morgan) are now chore boys, working together and become buddies.

After the East Blue Saga, of course you want to know what happens to Koby, if he joins the Marines and follows his dream, but Helmeppo is a character that you can easily forget.

But no.

Instead, Helmeppo has some of the best character development.

And I love character developments.

You follow them in their janitor work, you find out that not only Koby has befriended Rika, but also Helmeppo himself who, after treating her badly, was horrified by his father's idea of killing her.

You see Helmeppo suffering about his father's death sentence, you see Morgan take him as an hostage and then you see Koby disobey the order of the Marines, risking his own life and dream, to save his FRIEND.

And then both are rewarded for their integrity by none other than Vice Admiral Garp, who takes them under his wing to training them.

Like, what else? This is material for an entire story arc, but it's just covers.

i love and relate to Usopp sooo much, hes like one of my highest kins. not only cause of his anxiety, but when i was younger (and now, not just as much) i was a chronic liar. it was mostly a trauma response due to my neglectful parents, and id usually lie to make myself sound cooler or to get attention and i wouldnt rlly be able to control it. just seeing him do the exact same thing and still have people care for him is like. huh. so that can happen. (sorry if this is worded weirdly im bad at articulating my thoughts sometimes)

I love Usopp kinnies SO much. I am literally surrounded by them, honestly. My best friend is an Usopp kinnie and my fiancé too. They're my pookies. I luv them. Does this have anything to do with my own kin list? Probably!

I'm sorry you had to lie because of your parents. If it makes you feel any better I can just go and kick them. Parents should care about their children. You shouldn't have to lie to get people's attention, I'm sure you're a wonderful person without needing to do it. Although it's not something that you can't actually control most of the time, so,,, You're a wonderful person anyway, I'm sure. You deserved!!! Love!!! And attention!!! And people will love you no matter what!!! That thing doesn't establish whether you deserve love or not. I'm so so happy that at least you found comfort in Usopp. He's just,,, He's such a great character. He brings me so much comfort too. But that's just because I love him a lot and he's 100% the type of person I'd be friends with.

I know the feeling, by the way. Sanji is one of my highest kins too. And WCI changed my life because?? Wow??? Sanji sabotaging and sacrificing himself constantly like the stubborn, people-pleaser idiot he is because of his issues with his family and Luffy wanting him anyway??? The way they love him??? AND WANO????? Sanji there fucked me up completely. He's just like me fr. And I swear, watching a show that tells you "hey, is this who you are? Look at this character who's like you get loved!! Because they deserve love!!" it's just the most cathartic thing in the world. Not to mention Robin saying she wants to live. And Nami asking for help after being alone for so long. Like- One Piece really changes lives, huh.

my brain must be wired to spin a roulette wheel of what One Piece character to rotate around in there because today it was fucking X Drake of all people. like I am just putting the fact that he was also on minion island in a jar and shaking it.

Like. Hes gotta know right. My comfort show recently has been the Live Action One Piece adaptation. I am a very big fan of Morgan Davies, and the fact that he was cast as my favourite character gives me so much, and not only that but I had the honour of meeting him at a convention a couple of weeks ago and I managed to get up the courage to give him a copy of this.
