I had my very first experience as an English teacher yesterday, the class is small, we introduce ourselves, talk a bit about our families, where we live, what we like, y'know the "basic stuff" as they're adults (+1 teen). I'm teaching Level 2 English, so all this convo was useful not only to get to know each other before classes really start but also to review all they learned in Level 1 previously.
And then, as we go from one topic to another, letting the talk flow, I mention I have been watching Knight Rider (1982) and I made a point to watch it with subtitles in English because I'm not familiar with early 80s lingo - the point is, watching something I enjoy, I'm learning new vocabulary too. Then I show a picture of a Knight Rider poster on my tablet to let them know what I'm talking about.
And then this girl stares at it wide eyed. "WAIT. WAIT, I KNOW IT. I WATCHED AS A KID WITH MY DAD. IT'S CALLED......"
We both say the Brazilian Portuguese title of the series at the same time. "A SUPER MÁQUINA!"
So with a bit more talking, it turns out she watched the 2008 series with the Mustang and she loved KITT so much she's currently studying Control and Automation Engineering.
AM I TOUCHED? AM I HAPPY TO KNOW THIS LITTLE SERIES HAD SUCH AN IMPACT ON SOMEONE? ABSOLUTELY NOT, WHAT GIVES YOU THIS IMPRESSION AUDSHSFLAFUIOHLDF???

The Targaryen Baker's Dozen
Just a little AU stem of if Jaehaerys I and Alysanne's children had different fates. Don't know if I'll do anything with this, but here it is.
Prince Aegon Targaryen - still dies in infancy. Born and died in 52 AC.
Princess Daenerys Targaryen - Born in 53 AC. Survives her shivering sickness. Eventual rider of Dreamfyre. Marries the eldest son of Alaric Stark - Eddard Stark, and has four children with him:
Lord Torrhen Stark - Born in 70 AC at Winterfell. Lady Alysanne Stark - Born in 73 AC at Winterfell. Lord Rickard Stark - Born in 75 AC at Winterfell. Lady Lyanna Stark - Born in 79 AC at Winterfell.
Prince Aemon Targaryen - Born in 55 AC. Becomes King, succeeding his father. Rider of Caraxes, owner of Blackfyre. Heir to the throne. Marries Jocelyn Baratheon, and has one daughter:
Princess Rhaenys Targaryen - Born in 74 AC at Dragonstone.
Prince Baelon Targaryen - Born in 57 AC. Rider of Vhagar. Second son and Aemon's best friend. Marries his sister, Alyssa. They have three sons, and Baelon comes into possession of Dark Sister.
Princess Alyssa Targaryen - Born in 60 AC. Rider of Meleys. Second daughter and Daenerys' shadow. Marries her brother, Baelon, and has three sons with him. Alyssa does not die in childbirth:
Prince Viserys Targaryen - Born in 77 AC in King's Landing. Prince Daemon Targaryen - Born in 81 AC in King's Landing. Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen - Born in 84 AC in King's Landing.
Princess Maegelle Targaryen - Born in 62 AC. Becomes a septa and trains as a healer. Dies of greyscale in 96 AC.
Prince Vaegon Targaryen - Born in 63 AC. Becomes a Maester still, specializing in Valyrian history.
Princess Daella Targaryen - Born in 64 AC. Still marries into House Arryn, but to Rodrik's son - Jonnel Arryn, and gives him one daughter, it's a struggle, but she does, however, survive Aemma's birth.:
Lady Aemma Arryn - Born in 82 AC in The Eyrie.
Princess Saera Targaryen - Born in 67 AC. The dramatic sister(tm), never does things by halves, elopes with Ser William Blackwood and weds him. Giving him three children:
Lady Jocelyn Blackwood - Born in 86 AC at Raventree Hall. Lady Bethany Blackwood - Born in 90 AC at Raventree Hall. Lord Brandon Blackwood - Born in 90 AC at Raventree Hall.
Princess Viserra Targaryen - Born in 71 AC. The beauty queen of the family, with her finger on the pulse of courtly gossip. But, marries Lord Lyonel Dayne, and has five children with him:
Lord Arthur Dayne - Born in 87 AC at Starfall. Lady Baelon Dayne - Born in 89 AC at Starfall. Lord Clarissa Dayne - Born in 92 AC at Starfall. Lady Dyanna Dayne - Born in 95 AC at Starfall. Lady Elaena Dayne - Born in 99 AC in King's Landing.
Prince Gaemon Targaryen - still dies in infancy. Born in 73 AC, dies in 74 AC.
Prince Aenys Targaryen - Born in 77 AC. The wild child of the family, but eventually becomes a knight and joins the Kingsguard.
Princess Gael Targaryen - Born in 80 AC dies in 99 AC. Her mother's favourite, born with a learning disability, is a lovely girl who loves animals. However, dies birthing a son from a brief affair with a court bard.
Prince Aegon Targaryen, born in 99 AC. raised by Aemon and Jocelyn.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elaena and Aegon are the last grandchildren born before Alysanne passes away in 100 AC. Rhaena dies the year Daenerys gets married here, in 70 AC, a slight bit earlier, I imagine all the trauma of her life catching up to her.
I've changed Valerion's name to Aenys, I just felt as if Jaehaerys and Alysanne could honour their mother, they should also honour their father. And, Valerion sounds like the Targaryen equivalent of, like, Paris Hilton. Naming a child after a physical place.
Overall, I'm kinda pleased with this one. I imagine Aemon and Baelon would rule as almost co-Kings in a way, and Jocelyn and Alyssa would be co-Queens in effect if not in law.
Queen Alyssa still marries Rogar Baratheon, and has Boremund and Jocelyn, and, due to her advanced age at the time, I couldn't save her. But, more of her grandchildren do go on to have better lives and fates of their own.
Part 4!
Okay! So Galacta goes to Popstar with Meta Knight in the CTS AU, meaning he was there throughout everything. That being said, I felt like writing it all out into short episode by episode summaries.
Extra info + Episodes under the cut.
Please keep in mind that I only have the episode numbers written out (for explain "episode 1 - this happens") so the episodes I'm referring to may be a bit vague. Also, I'm using the Japanese order, the English ones are moved around a bit so please keep that in mind as well.
Part 1;
Part 2;
Part 3;
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 74 - 76.
Galacta stands by and watches the events of episode 77.
Episode 78 - Galacta grabs Kirby and hugs him when he's running away from Escargoon, wrapping his wings around him. This happens at the same time Meta Knight attacks the snail.
Galacta doesn't appear in episodes 79 - 82.
Episode 83 - Galacta goes outside with Meta Knight and hisses after he's done speaking, saying he'll stab the teacher if he attacks or hurts the child. Tiff tells him it's fine and asks him not to attack anyone. Galacta stares at her, then sighs and says fine. He gives her a pat on the head and then walks away.
Episode 84 - Galacta stands by and watches the conversation regarding what Mumbies are and growls. He yells at the monster for being ugly and a coward when it makes Kirby fall asleep.
Galacta stands by and watches the events of episode 85.
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 86.
Episode 87 - Galacta stands by and watches, but hisses when the monster serum is brought up.
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 88.
Episode 89 doesn't exist.
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 90 - 91.
Episode 92 - Galacta growls about Dedede being a jerk for starving the Waddle Dees and kicks a table.
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 93.
Galacta stands by and watches the events of episode 94.
Episode 95 - Galacta stands by and watches, but hisses when he realizes Kirby is possessed and yells about stabbing Nightmare in his ugly sunglasses. When Meta Knight says the 'Not even Dedede deserves this' thing, he shrugs and says agree to disagree. Galacta is staring blankly at the sky when Meta Knight says his last line.
Galacta doesn't appear in episode 96.
Galacta stands by and watches the events of episode 97.
Episode 98 - Galacta is obscenely fidgety and barely seems focused. He growls at the new wave of Destroya ships and keeps his lance present. As Kirby is sent to attack the new Destroya Ships, Galacta asks Meta Knight if he can help out. Meta Knight decides to keep him with him rather than sending him out to Kirby. Galacta seems to calm after the Destroya Ships are destroyed, but remains fidgety and doesn't despawn his lance.
Episode 99 - Galacta spawns his shield and throws it at Dedede's face when he gives away their location to N.M.E. When Arthur and the others show up on screen, Galacta perks up and begins loudly demanding to know where they've been. Arthur briefly pauses and stares at him, then continues with their plan. When Nightmare shows up, Galacta hisses and calls him a disgusting space wizard. He also says he's ugly.
Episode 100 - Galacta growls at the Air Riders and demands to be allowed to fight them. Meta Knight doesn't respond. Upon Dedede and Escargoon taking Tiff, Galacta attempts to launch a lance beam, which Sword and Blade stop him from doing. He begins yelling about Nightmare being a useless creature. Galacta also insists on going with the others to plant bombs, but Meta Knight tells him he's needed on the battleship. He hisses and says he's not really doing anything regardless, to which Meta Knight does not reply. Upon being informed of Destroyas getting past the other Star Warriors, Galacta says they should just feed them to Nightmare. Sword tells him that's not actually possible and he huffs in response. When Kawasaki asks about the now destroyed battleship, Galacta starts yelling about Nightmare having destroyed it. Meta Knight tells him to relax. Galacta responds by asking why he can't just go track him down and help Kirby with him. He also mentions that he has a 'personal grudge' to settle with him. Meta Knight changes the topic and Galacta growls at him and punches the wall. Upon returning, Galacta hisses when Meta Knight hands Dedede the phone. He also goes and hugs Kirby, saying he's proud of him and that he's done them all a huge favour.
Knight Writers Assemble!
I think that was a catch phrase in the 80′s wasn’t it? Possibly!
In any case I think a misconception happens occasionally. I ran into an old friend not to long ago. A friend who knows of my habit of writing because frankly he’s read what I’ve written. He read what I’ve written back in high school and believe me... That is absolutely not my writing style anymore. Like any art, if you go back and look at some of the first things you did, some of the first pictures you took, some of the first music you wrote, some of the first art that you created, you’re not going to be happy with it. Writing is no different. I can barely read some of the things I wrote back then. It hurts my soul, it literally hurts my soul. But that’s not the point. That’s how we grow. I told him some of the things I’ve been working on and he mentioned “Oh yeah, I remember you used to do that Knight Rider stuff...” Then I told him some of the other things I’m working on and his reaction was more along “Oh you write real stuff now too? That’s cool!”
So my reaction might have been to pull from my Southern ancestors before me, smile sweetly and say ‘Oh well bless your heart, you know everything I write is real.’
By the way if a southern woman ever says ‘bless your heart’ to you, it ain’t a good thing. Unfortunately he may have been here through high school but he’s actually from California and has spent most of his adult life in California as well so he did not hear the tones of hell beasts that were released upon a simple phrase.
So let me assure my fellow writers who might not see what they do as ‘real.’ If you put words on a paper, in a computer, in a type writer, in a phone (I’m not sure how ya’ll do that one, you’re more determined than I) You are working on something real. If you can tell a story you can write a story, if you put that story down, you’re a writer. If you’ve never written anything but Knight Rider Fanfiction, you’re still a writer. If you created something, you’re a creator no matter what the format. So don’t let them people who scoff and go “Fanfiction writer? Really?” Don’t let them get to you. In fact, come join us. Cause we happen to have fun and if you want to turn that talent into something original? That’s how you learn. I learned that I loved writing by writing Fanfiction. It's Clashing Time Boys
I'm cutting this shit fucking close
Day 82: Another problem with Evos
There is yet ANOTHER problem with the concept of evolutions in Clash Royale.
Today will be a fun one, won't it now?
So in Clash Royale, each card is getting an Evo, one hy one.
I've already dissected how bad this is because of the sheer time it would take to come out with 1 - 2 evos every 30 days for I think almost 200 cards now, but there's more wrong with this. MANY cards in Clash probably shouldn't get evos. From the elite barbs, to the e giant and e golem, to the hog rider, to, I'll admit, even X-bow, ALL of these evos would throw the balance of the game into charades yet AGAIN.
But only giving evos to some cards is inherently unfair. What if you ran a deck with only cards that had no evos? Then, if supercell doesn't give those cards Evos, you're just fucked!
A similar thing is happening to Brawl Stars with hypercharges. There are brawlers that would definitely be problematic when given a hypercharge. But the difference is that I Brawl, there are no stupid brawlers! Sure, some FEEL no skill, but all take a certain amount of skill in one way or another. So brawlers like Edgar won't just get a hypercharge, but they HAVE a hypercharge, and it isn't ravaging all around the game.
Clash ATTEMPTED to fix this, but it failed miserably. When the Mega knight Evo dropped, the Pekka Evo dropped with it. Im pretty sure the idea was to drop both at the same time, so midlatter (and all subsequent places in latter) could handle the mega knight having a spike in play because its best counter would also have a spike in play. But the mega knight Evo was OP and the Pekka evo was mediocre, so Pekka didn't spike in play as much as Mega knight, and mk Evo still ruled the land like Edgar's hypercharge never did.
I do think Supercell had the right idea though. Releasing a problematic Evo with its counter-evo is a good way to deal with the problem card. I can't really think of a better way to do this, Supercell just has to do it better.
Tumblrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Check Out The Highest Partnership In IPL
Every year, the world's most celebrated and talented cricket players come together to face each other in the most beloved T20 league in the world - the India Premier League. The fact that so many popular and revered figures of the cricketing world gather at one place, for a sole event is exactly what makes it so appealing. It consists of brief matches with 20 overs of six balls apiece for each team. The average IPL match lasts four hours or less. Because the IPL offers free, fast-paced, exciting cricket action, the whole family can enjoy it. The frequent displays of explosive batting are a major factor in the IPL's appeal. Even though cricket is a team sport and involves the efforts of all players, there are instances when players win matches by themselves. Because the IPL is so fast-paced and reckless, batters seldom form long-term partnerships.
Highest Partnerships In IPL
Partnerships are very important to win matches in cricket, after all, it's a team sport. However, the majority of players just want to win the match by scoring huge hits, yet a strong partnership may change the course of the game. They therefore enter the field and leave swiftly, allowing the next hitter to use the same tactic. Anyhow, this is the norm for the T20 format and there's nothing bad playing that way as it's kind of a requirement of the format. But there have come certain situations in the IPL when batters have just refused to leave the field and have formed incredible partnerships. While speaking about the highest partnership in IPL, there are few occasions where players have joined hands to forge the biggest alliance the tournament has ever seen.
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers - 229 runs
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Lions (GL) engaged in a high-scoring contest in this unforgettable Bengaluru match. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers were the center of attention as they combined to create a record-breaking 229-run partnership for the second wicket. The foundation of RCB's incredible cricket score of 248/3 was courtesy of their collaboration. While de Villiers was even more prolific, smashing 129 runs off only 52 deliveries, Kohli provided an incredible 109 runs.
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers - 215 runs
This time, Royal Challengers Bengaluru played the Mumbai Indians in Mumbai, which paved the way for another performance by Kohli and de Villiers. The explosive pair helped RCB reach a commanding 235/1 with an undefeated partnership of 215 runs for the second wicket. While AB de Villiers played a more prominent role, hitting an incredible 133 runs off 59 balls, Kohli contributed a respectable 82 runs. Their duo created a massive score by destroying the bowling assault of the Mumbai Indians.
Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul - 210 runs
Against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) displayed their batting prowess in this match. LSG reached a huge total of 210/0 thanks to an unbroken partnership of 210 runs for the first wicket between opening batters Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul. Rahul provided excellent assistance with 68 runs off 51 balls, while De Kock had a spectacular game with 140 runs off 70 balls. KKR's comeback fell just short by two runs as they were unable to chase down the total.
My thoughts over the years about Sonic the Hedgehog
With Frontiers and Sonic x Shadow Generations being out, as well as growing up playing all the Sonic games, here are my thoughts about the series in general from over the years. keep in mind these are MY opinions/questions but i would love to hear yours too.
- The Storybook Duology (Black Knight and Secret Rings) WERE NOT THAT BAD and I wish they were acknowledged more, canon or not.
- SONIC FREE RIDERS, RIDERS, AND ZERO GRAVITY NEED PC PORTS (bias because i never got to play the games)
- Time Eater in Sonic Generations is a bad boss, I actually hate it. The layout of the stage is bad, Classic Sonic (my baby) is useless, where are the rings, AND WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING?)/82$2 SHUT UP!/&/!/829
- I wish Silver got a stand alone game, and I wish Sonic 06 wasn’t the game he was introduced in.
- the year of Shadow has actually been great. give him his glock back!!!
- speaking of Silver, oh my god i hate that he’s voiced by Bryce Papenbrook since like 2019, oh my god i can’t take him seriously because all i hear is ADRIEN AGRESTE and it just really takes me out of the immersion of the game
- literally plz bring back Pete Capella (Sonic 06), i’ll even take Quinton Flynn back too (OG Sonic Generations) OR GET SOMEONE NEW IDC BRYCE NEEDS TO BE GONE
- Sonic 06 had SO MUCH potential, it was just a shitty game and I think SEGA themselves should redo it instead of the people in charge of Project 06 (but forever grateful for the people with Project 06)
- The Babylon Rouges are such a good group of characters and like their story/concept is great they are just trapped in a game lost to time.
- In terms of Sonic VAs (video game only), 1. JASON GRIFFITH JASON GRIFFTH LIKE IS SONIC, 2. Roger Craig Smith, 3. Ryan Drummond but him and Roger switch depending on how nostalgic i’m feeling,
- Jaleel White was also a good VA for Sonic. Like his Sonic, to me, is that in between stage of Classic and Modern. Like the “preteen” stage almost.
- is sonic underground canon? like do Sonia and Manic exist outside of that series? like i’m leaning towards no?
- the werehog stages in Sonic Unleashed were not that bad, and I actually quite enjoyed them. now, did the werehog combat stages get a little tedious? YES! but what Sonic games doesn’t have some type of tedious gameplay mechanic? i’ll wait.
i have so much MORE to say and i have NO ONE to talk to abt this irl so to tumblr it goes. lol it’s my first post too, long time reader first time poster type beat YAY!
Knight Rider 82 Vintage shirt
it was under the last administration we witnessed the protest at the Capitol at which many lost their lives something which the West and itself the USA relate to pupa democracies like Africa. No,instead he's for all intents and purposes removed any limits on illegal migration, oversaw a shambolic withdrawal from Afghanistan where Afghans fell to their death clinging to US military planes, is so internationally weak that he'll oversee enemies of the US invade both Ukraine and Taiwan, has put the US back into the UN meaning the US tax Payer is now essentially paying for Europe's defence and has also had sexual assault allegations levied against him. Ukraine wants (and deserves) what Putin promised Russians: democracy; free media; personal liberties; political choice.
