Browning machine gun lighter found at a vintage market we like. The flame comes out of the center point where the switch is. We filled it with lighter fluid, but now we can't get it spark. The spring/screw goes in at an angle, and we think we just didn't get it lined up exactly right when we screwed it back in.

But also, who cares. I mean. Look at it.

I really wanted something to display Mess properly, and show off one of my head(?)canons I have for them! (It's so beautifuuullll *⁠.⁠✧♡)

Mess isn't a huge fan of having their legs free—it makes them feel exposed and vulnerable. They tend to avoid splitting their tail at all unless it's absolutely necessary. Like, say, encountering a chasm with ghost gravity that makes it impossible to cross by flight, and a new pretty gift for Clockwork is stuck on the other side ;3

It can also happen involuntarily if they already feel vulnerable and start spiraling, but that's less relevant here. Powerful Knickknack™ hunting days are most common :3 Gotta get those steps in! 💪
