Klaus stands at the edge of a dimly lit alley, his typical smirk firmly in place. His presence alone would usually send a chill down anyone’s spine, but not you. You barely spare him a glance, adjusting the strap of your bag as you walk by, seemingly uninterested.
Klaus steps into your path, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. “I assume you’ve heard of me, love. Klaus Mikaelson. The name tends to have that… effect.”
Your gaze finally flickers to his, utterly unimpressed.“Heard of you? Yeah. Do I care? Not really.”
Klaus blinks, his smirk faltering for the briefest moment, unsure if he heard you correctly. No one had ever dismissed him so casually.“You should be careful with that tongue of yours. I could have it ripped out.”
You quirks an eyebrow, unbothered. You take a step closer, looking him up and down before shaking your head. “Sure, if you’re into that caveman crap. But let me guess,daddy issues, control freak tendencies, and a superiority complex? Please. You’re not as scary as you think you are.”
For a moment, Klaus is speechless, not out of anger but because he genuinely doesn’t know how to respond. No one talks to him this way. Before he can form a retort, you walk right past him, your heels clicking sharply against the pavement as if you already forgotten about him.
It’s a grand ballroom, filled with high society vampires and witches, all dressed in their finest attire. Elijah, ever the gentleman, stands at the edge of the room, quietly observing the crowd, his hands clasped behind his back. His gaze lands on you, who’s sipping a glass of champagne, looking bored out of your mind.
Elijah approaches you, his movements smooth and calculated, as if he’s already predicting how the conversation will go. He offers you a polite smile.“It’s not often I meet someone as… self-assured as you. Especially in a room like this.”
You don't bother turning fully toward him, simply glancing at him sideways with an amused smirk. “And it’s not often I meet someone as old as you who still finds that line charming.”
Elijah’s smile tightens ever so slightly, the subtle dig not lost on him. He takes a measured breath, trying again “Your confidence is… admirable, though perhaps misplaced. You don’t seem to fully grasp the situation you’ve found yourself in.”
You take a slow sip of your drink before turning to face him completely, your eyes flicking up and down, as if you're assessing his worth before you even answer. “Oh, I grasp it just fine. I’m in a room full of vampires and witches who think a suit and a brooding glare make them powerful. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. Especially not you. A nice suit can only distract from the fact that you’re still an over-glorified corpse.”
Elijah remains stoic, but there’s a flicker of something, annoyance? Amusement?,in his eyes. You give him a slow, deliberate once-over before leaning in slightly, your voice lowering. “Word of advice. try loosening that tie before you crumble to dust.” With that, you turn on your heel, your skirt swishing as you disappear into the crowd, leaving Elijah standing there, momentarily stunned by your audacity.
In a small, candlelit room, Klaus sits in a high-backed chair, his eyes narrowed as you paces the floor in front of him. The tension is thick in the air, Klaus’s usual calm demeanor slipping ever so slightly as you continue to challenge him.
“You think you can defy me? I’ve lived for over a thousand years, Y/n. I’ve seen the rise and fall of empires. There’s nothing you can do that I haven’t already dealt with a thousand times over.”
You stop pacing, finally turning to face him.Your arms cross over your chest as you tilt your head slightly, a mock smile tugging at your lips.“Wow. A thousand years? And here I was thinking that living for centuries would make someone wiser. Must be tough, huh? All that time and still stuck in the same petty temper tantrums. I mean, don’t you ever get tired of being such a drama queen?”
Klaus’s eyes darken, and for a second, it looks like he might snap. He leans forward in his chair, his voice dropping low and dangerous.“You have no idea who you’re dealing with, love.”
You, however, are unfazed. You walk toward him, your gaze never wavering as you lean down slightly, your faces just inches apart.“Oh, I think I do. A thousand years of power, but you’re still the same insecure little boy who needs everyone to fear him to feel important. How’s that working out for you, Klaus? Do you ever feel satisfied?”
You straighten up before he can respond, turning on your heel and walking out the door, leaving Klaus staring after you, a mixture of anger and intrigue burning in his eyes.
Elijah stands in a dimly lit library, his hands clasped behind his back, his usual air of calmness and nobility surrounding him. You, however, lounge on a nearby sofa, flipping through an old book with disinterest.“It’s intriguing, truly. There’s more to you than meets the eye, Y/n.”
Without even looking up from the book, you smirks.“You’re right. I’m also more annoyed than I seem.”
Elijah’s eyebrows raise slightly, clearly not expecting that response. He clears his throat, trying to maintain his composure.”You play a dangerous game, challenging the likes of Klaus and me.”
You finally look up from the book, tossing it aside and standing to your feet. You take a few steps toward Elijah, your confidence unwavering.”Oh, please. Your brother’s just a homicidal drama queen with daddy issues, and you… well, you hide behind suits and manners like they make you any different.”
Elijah smiles. “I assure you, I am quite different from my brother.”
You step closer, your gaze never leaving his.“Sure you are. That’s why you’re always cleaning up his messes, right? Pretending you’re the noble one, while in reality, you’re just as much of a control freak as he is. At least Klaus owns his insanity. You hide yours behind all that chivalry and gentlemanly crap.”
Elijah’s jaw clenches, but he remains silent, choosing to take your words in stride. You simply smile, clearly pleased with yourself as you brush past him.
“Don’t worry, Elijah. It’s not all bad. You wear the control freak thing well.” With that, you exit the library, leaving Elijah standing there, his calm facade cracking just slightly as he watches you go.
The moon casts a pale light over the desolate warehouse where you are trying to catch your breath. Your shirt is torn, and you have a gash on your arm, blood seeping through the makeshift bandage. Your face is pale, but you try to hide your pain behind a mask of determination.
Klaus and Elijah burst through the entrance, having tracked you down after hearing of the skirmish you were involved in. Their faces are etched with worry as they quickly make their way to your side.”love, what happened? You look like you’ve been through hell.”
Elijah takes in your condition with a worried expression, his hands reaching out to steady you.”You need help. Let us take care of you.”
You struggle to maintain your composure, waves them off with a grimace of pain.”I’m fine. I don’t need your help. I can handle it on my own.”
Klaus’s frustration is palpable. He kneels in front of you, his eyes filled with concern. “You’re clearly not fine. You’re hurt and you need medical attention. We’re not going to just leave you here.”
You attempt to push past them, but your legs are shaky and you stumble. Elijah catches you effortlessly, his voice a mix of gentle authority and concern “You’re in no condition to refuse our help. You’re hurt and exhausted. Please, let us help you.”
Your resolve starts to crumble as you lean into Elijah’s support. Your defiant attitude fades as you recognize the genuine worry in their eyes.“Alright, alright. Just… don’t make a fuss.”
Klaus gently helps you into a nearby car, his touch surprisingly tender despite his usual intensity. Elijah retrieves a first aid kit from the trunk and begins to clean and dress your wounds as carefully as he can.
You wince from the sting but stays silent, your pride temporarily set aside. Klaus stays close, his hand resting lightly on your shoulder, offering silent support.”You’re not alone in this, Y/n. We’re here for you, no matter what.”
You meet his gaze, your eyes reflecting both gratitude and frustration.“I don’t usually let people in like this. You know that.”
Elijah, focusing on bandaging your arm, looks up and offers a reassuring smile.”We know. But sometimes, even the strongest need a little help. We’re not going to let you push us away, not when you need us.”
As Elijah finishes tending to your wounds, Klaus leans in, his voice softening.“We’ll get you the help you need, Y/n. You’re not going through this alone.”
You, despite your initial resistance, let yourself be comforted by their presence. You realize that, despite your fierce independence, having Klaus and Elijah by your side provides a sense of security you hadn’t anticipated needing.
As the car drives off, Klaus and Elijah remain close, their concern unwavering as they ensure you get the care you need. Though your pride still battles with your vulnerability, you find solace in their steadfast support.
After you are treated and resting in a comfortable room, Hayley arrives, a knowing smirk on her face. She finds you lounging on a bed, your arm freshly bandaged. Klaus and Elijah have just left the room, giving you some space to recuperate. Hayley strolls in, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Hayley smirks.”Well, look who finally decided to let someone take care of her. I have to say, I didn’t expect you to let Klaus and Elijah play nurse.”
You were attempting to rest, but you sit up with an exaggerated huff. You glare at Hayley, trying to hide your amusement behind a mask of annoyance.”Oh, just great. The one person who knows I hate when people fuss over me shows up to gloat. What’s next? A surprise party?”
Hayley chuckles, leaning against the doorframe with a playful smirk.”I’m just surprised, you know. You’ve always acted like you couldn’t stand them, and now look at you. All bandaged up and letting them dote on you.”*
You cross your arms, trying to maintain your irritated facade, but your eyes reveal a hint of amusement.“Yeah, well, don’t think this means I’ve suddenly become all buddy-buddy with them. It’s just... they’re insistent and annoying. It’s not like I wanted their help.”
Hayley raises an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced.“Right. Because you always look like you’re enjoying yourself whenever they’re around. Especially with how Klaus keeps giving you those worried looks and how Elijah practically hovered over you.”
Your cheeks flush slightly as you try to play it cool, though your irritation is tempered by the slight smile tugging at your lips.”Oh, please. Don’t start with the ‘they care’ nonsense. It’s just because they feel guilty about whatever mess I got into. They’re not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.”
Hayley steps closer, her grin widening as she watches you struggle to keep up your tough front.“Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that. Meanwhile, I can’t deny it’s kind of sweet seeing you so... vulnerable. Maybe there’s a part of you that actually appreciates the attention.”
You throw a pillow at Hayley playfully, though your smile betrays your true feelings.“Get over yourself. I don’t need you adding to the sympathy party. Just help me get through this so I can get back to pretending I’m totally fine and not emotionally softened by their annoying concern.”
Hayley laughs, catching the pillow and tossing it back onto the bed.“Alright, alright. I’ll let you be. But just remember, it’s okay to let them care. Even if you’re too proud to admit it, they’re not the only ones who want you to be okay.”*
You rolled your eyes but your expression softened as you watched Hayley leave the room.”Yeah, yeah. Just don’t expect me to thank you for the lecture.”
Hayley winks before closing the door behind her, leaving you alone with your thoughts. As you settle back into the bed, you find yourself reflecting on Hayley’s words and the unexpected comfort in knowing that Klaus and Elijah truly care, despite your attempts to act indifferent.
You walked into the grand hall, the light from the chandeliers casting a warm glow over the opulent décor. You held your head high, your steps deliberate and confident despite the lingering pain in your leg. The party was in full swing, with elegant guests mingling and laughter echoing through the room. Klaus and Elijah stood near the fireplace, engaged in animated conversation, but their eyes quickly shifted to you as you entered.
Klaus’s eyes narrowed, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Well, look who decided to grace us with her presence.”
Your lips curled into a practiced smirk as you approached them, your tone dripping with mockery. “Don’t flatter yourselves. I’m here because I have a life outside of your little charade. Not because I’ve missed you.”
Elijah’s gaze softened with a flicker of concern as he took in your appearance, but he quickly masked it with his usual calm demeanor. “You’re walking better. I’m glad to see you’re recovering.”
Your eyes met his, the hint of warmth in his tone making you bristle. You crossed your arms, trying to maintain your façade of irritation. “Yeah, well, I didn’t come here for a check-up. I came because I’m not going to let you two think you’ve managed to make me some sort of charity case.”
Klaus stepped closer, his eyes searching yours. “We were worried about you, Y/n. You know that, don’t you?”
You rolled your eyes dramatically, turning your attention to a nearby table laden with hors d'oeuvres. “Oh, please. Don’t start with the concern routine. I’m perfectly capable of handling myself.”
Elijah exchanged a glance with Klaus, a silent communication passing between them. Despite your insistence, both could see through your bravado. Klaus sighed and took a step closer, his voice dropping to a more personal, almost vulnerable tone. “You don’t have to put on this act. We genuinely care about you, love.”
Your resolve wavered for a moment, the sincerity in Klaus’s voice striking a chord. But you quickly recovered, forcing a laugh and shaking your head. “Yeah, well, don’t expect me to start letting you two get all soft on me. I’m not one of your projects.”
Elijah’s expression remained unchanged, though a glimmer of sadness flickered in his eyes. “We’re not trying to project anything. We just want to know that you’re okay.”
You snatched a glass of champagne from a passing tray and took a long sip, your gaze defiant. “I’m perfectly fine, thank you very much. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have other things to do than stand here and listen to your pity party.”
As you turned away, Klaus and Elijah watched you go, their concern mingling with a sense of helplessness. They knew that your stubbornness was a shield, a way to keep your motions at bay. Despite your attempts to push them away, they couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness for you, wishing you would allow them to be there for you in the way they wanted to.
You mingled with the other guests, your laughter ringing out as you engaged in conversation, carefully keeping your distance from Klaus and Elijah. Yet, as the evening wore on, you occasionally cast glances back at them, your facade of indifference faltering just slightly. It was clear that despite your efforts to act unaffected, the depth of your feelings, for both and against them, was more complex than you were willing to admit.
As the night progressed, you found yourself increasingly annoyed by the persistent attention of your friends, who seemed determined to check in on you despite your best efforts to stay aloof. You had just finished laughing off an awkward encounter with a particularly persistent guest when you noticed Klaus and Elijah approaching you again, their expressions a mix of amusement and exasperation.
Klaus, his eyes twinkling with mischief, leaned in. “I see you’re managing to charm everyone but us. Is it a special talent, or are we just not your type?
You rolled your eyes, took a dramatic sip of your champagne. “Oh, it’s definitely a special talent. It’s called ignoring people who can’t take a hint.”
Elijah, with a hint of a smile, crossed his arms. “And how’s that working out for you? Are you enjoying being the center of attention, or is it just your way of avoiding us?”
Your annoyance was palpable, but you couldn’t help the smirk that crept onto your face. “I’m enjoying it just fine. And avoiding you? Maybe. But mostly, I’m just trying to have a good time without you two hovering over me like mother hens.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, a playful grin spreading across his face. “Mother hens, huh? Is that what you really think of us?”
You threw up your hands in mock exasperation. “Yes, exactly! You’re like the overprotective older siblings I never asked for. It’s exhausting.”
Elijah chuckled, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. “If we’re such a bother, why not just admit that you missed us? It would save you from all this melodrama.”
You gasped theatrically. “Admit that I missed you? Never! I’d rather suffer through your relentless concern and witty banter than give you the satisfaction of thinking you’re actually useful.”
Klaus’s grin widened as he leaned closer. “Well, if we’re such a burden, you could always try to avoid us entirely. But I suspect you’ll find it difficult to enjoy the party without our charming presence.”
You shot him a look that was half exasperation, half amusement. “Oh, please. I’m sure I’ll manage. I’ve been dealing with you two for far too long to be daunted by a little thing like being pursued for my own good.”
Elijah’s eyes danced with mischief. “And what if we promise to be less annoying? Or at least try not to hover so much?”
You pretended to consider it, tapping your chin thoughtfully. “Hmm, tempting offer. But I think I’d rather keep you two around just for the fun of it.”
As Klaus and Elijah exchanged amused glances, you couldn’t help but feel a flicker of warmth at their continued efforts. Despite your protests and attempts to maintain your acade, it was clear that their presence, annoying as it might be, was something you secretly valued.
The evening continued with you navigating through the party, your interactions with Klaus and Elijah taking on a more playful tone. Despite your efforts to act annoyed, it was evident that their teasing and concern were an endearing part of your night, leaving you with a sense of both frustration and affection for the two men who refused to let you go unnoticed.
As the night wore on, Klaus and Elijah's persistent presence became an ongoing source of irritation for you. Despite your best efforts to ignore them, they continued to hover around, much to your dismay.
Klaus sidled up to you as you were attempting to enjoy a quiet conversation with a fellow guest. “You know, Y/n, you’ve been awfully quiet tonight. Are you sure everything’s okay? You’re not usually this subdued.”
You shot him a glare, barely hiding your frustration. “I’m perfectly fine. I just don’t feel the need to constantly entertain you two with my every move.”
Elijah, never one to miss an opportunity for mischief, joined in with a smirk. “Are you sure you don’t want to share? We might be able to help make your evening more enjoyable.”
You sighed heavily, trying to maintain your composure. “I’m quite capable of having a good time without you two interrupting every conversation I have. Just go away for a little while.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged a look of amusement before Klaus leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “We can’t do that. We’re on a mission to make sure you’re not suffering in silence.”
Your patience was wearing thin. “And what makes you think I’m suffering? I’m having a perfectly good time without your constant need to check in.”
Elijah raised an eyebrow, pretending to consider this. “If that’s the case, then you wouldn’t mind if we stayed right here, would you?”
You tried to stifle your exasperation, but it was clear you were losing the battle. “Fine. Stay. But don’t expect me to be grateful. If anything, you’re making it harder for me to enjoy myself.”
Klaus leaned in closer, his grin widening. “You know, I think you’re secretly enjoying the attention. Otherwise, why would you keep engaging with us?”
You rolled your eyes and took a deep breath. “You’re impossible. You know that, right? Sometimes I wonder how I put up with you two.”
Elijah chuckled softly, placing a hand on your shoulder. “It’s probably because, deep down, you know we’re not going anywhere. We’re too stubborn to let you deal with things on your own.”
Klaus nodded in agreement. “And let’s be honest, you’d miss us if we weren’t around to annoy you.”
You tried to muster a serious expression, but the corners of your mouth twitched in spite of yourself. “You know what? Fine. If you’re going to be this persistent, then I’ll just have to accept it. But don’t think for a second that I’m not annoyed.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged triumphant looks, clearly pleased with their ability to get under your kin. As you continued to mingle, they remained close by, your playful banter and teasing a constant presence.
Despite your attempts to ignore them, you found yourself occasionally laughing at their jokes and appreciating their company more than you cared to admit. As the night went on, it became clear that while you might act annoyed, their relentless attention was a reminder of how much they cared, even if it came in the form of persistent teasing.
Hayley strolled over to where you,Klaus, and Elijah were engaged in your usual banter. Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she watched her sister’s futile attempts to maintain her irritation. As Hayley approached, she couldn’t help but smirk at your obvious frustration.”Well, well, if it isn’t the trio of persistent annoyances. How’s my sister holding up under your relentless attention?”
You shot your sister an exasperated look, clearly irritated by Hayley’s timely arrival.“Oh, don’t start with me, Hayley. I’m managing just fine, despite these two refusing to give me a moment’s peace.”
Klaus grinned at Hayley’s entrance, his eyes dancing with mischief.“Ah, Hayley. Just in time. We were about to test the limits of Y/n’s patience. Care to join us?”
Elijah, trying to hide his amusement, gave Hayley a respectful nod. “We could use another perspective. What do you think, Hayley? Is Y/n’s annoyance as entertaining as we believe?”
Hayley’s smirk widened as she took a seat beside you, clearly enjoying the playful tension.“Oh, it’s absolutely entertaining. I’ve never seen her so determined to act annoyed while clearly enjoying the attention.”
You rolled your eyes, though a small smile tugged at your lips despite your best efforts to stay irritated.“You’re not helping, Hayley. I can’t believe you’re actually encouraging them.”
Hayley leaned in closer, her voice low and teasing.”Well, if you can’t beat them, you might as well join them. Besides, it’s quite clear that deep down, you appreciate their attention more than you let on.”
Klaus’s grin widened, and he leaned over to you with mock seriousness.”See? Even your sister agrees. You might as well embrace the fact that you’re stuck with us.”
Elijah chuckled softly, adding to the teasing atmosphere.“And if you’re honest, you might even admit that we make these parties a bit more interesting.”
You threw your hands up in a dramatic gesture, your frustration now mingled with reluctant amusement.“Alright, fine. You win. I’ll admit that having you around is better than being alone with just my own thoughts. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still annoyed.”
Hayley laughed, clearly delighted by your reluctant acceptance.“There you go. Now you’re starting to sound like yourself again. Just remember, sometimes it’s okay to let others take care of you.”
You glanced at your sister, your eyes softening slightly, even as you tried to keep up your defiant attitude.”Yeah, yeah. Thanks for the advice. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to pretend to be annoyed by these two for a bit longer.”
As Hayley joined the conversation, Klaus and Elijah’s teasing continued, but there was a newfound camaraderie in the air. Your exasperation was now mixed with genuine affection, and despite your best efforts to maintain your aloof demeanor, it was clear that the playful interactions and persistent attention of your friends were something you secretly valued.
As the evening drew to a close, the grand hall where the party had been held was starting to empty. You, Klaus, and Elijah found themselves alone in a quieter corner of the room. The noise of the guests had faded to a low murmur, and they had settled into comfortable chairs around a small table that had been pushed to the side.
Klaus poured a glass of wine and offered it to you, his eyes twinkling with mischief.“Care for another drink?” Klaus asked, a teasing edge to his voice. “You seemed to enjoy the last one.”
you took the glass, rolling your eyes with a smile. “Are you trying to get me drunk so you can finally win an argument?”
Elijah chuckled from his seat, his gaze amused as he watched their exchange. “Oh, we’ve already won. You’ve been on the losing end of our teasing all evening. Consider this just a celebratory drink.”
You took a sip, trying to maintain your composure. “Celebratory for you two, maybe. I’ve had to endure relentless banter all night.”
Klaus leaned forward, his expression a mix of mock seriousness and genuine amusement. “It’s not relentless banter if it’s entertaining. And we both know you secretly enjoy it.”
You shook your head, trying to suppress a grin. “Sure, if by ‘enjoy’ you mean ‘tolerate’ while plotting my revenge.”
Elijah raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Plotting, you say? Care to share any of your plans?”
You leaned back in your chair, crossing your arms with a defiant smirk. “I’m not about to give away my secrets. Let’s just say that you two are always on my radar. I’m just biding my time.”
Klaus grinned widely, clearly amused by your response. “Biding your time, huh? I’ll be sure to watch my back. But for now, I think we’re safe from any retaliation.”
Elijah laughed softly, shaking his head. “I’m curious to see what you come up with. Until then, we’ll just continue our delightful teasing.”
Your eyes sparkled with mischief as you looked at both of them. “Oh, don’t be so sure. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. You just wait until I catch you off guard.”
As the three of them continued their playful banter, the mood between them was light and comfortable. Despite your attempts to act annoyed, it was clear that the teasing and the company of Klaus and Elijah were something you secretly enjoyed. The evening continued with laughter and camaraderie, the easy conversation a testament to the deep bond that the three shared.
As the evening went on, Hayley and Rebekah joined you, Klaus, and Elijah in their corner, clearly in high spirits. The two women exchanged a glance and strolled over, their smiles full of mischief.
Hayley, her eyes gleaming with amusement, looked at you. “I see you’re still surrounded by these charming gentlemen. How’s that working out for you, Y/n?”
You try to keep your composure, sighed. “Oh, you know, just another evening of enduring their endless teasing.”
Rebekah grinned, her eyes fixed on her brothers. “Well, it looks like you’re managing quite well. I’d say they’re actually behaving themselves tonight.”
Klaus, overhearing, couldn’t resist chiming in. “Behaving ourselves? That’s a first. We must be slipping.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his smile widening. “And here I thought we were being on our best behavior.”
You shot them a mock glare. “Oh, don’t encourage them. They’re already insufferable enough without any help.”
Hayley leaned in closer, her voice dripping with playfulness. “I’m just saying, if you’re actually enjoying their company, you should admit it. We all know how much you love the attention.”
Rebekah’s grin widened. “And don’t think I haven’t noticed how you keep engaging with them. You’re practically glowing every time they tease you.”
You rolled your eyes, though a smile tugged at your lips. “Yeah, well, maybe I’m just too polite to tell them to leave me alone.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the banter. “Polite, huh? We’ll take that as a compliment.”
Elijah chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “And here we were, thinking we might actually be getting on your nerves.”
Hayley nudged you playfully. “Come on, admit it. You’re having a blast with these two. If you weren’t, you’d have left a long time ago.”
Rebekah joined in, her tone teasing. “And who knows, maybe deep down, you’re already plotting how to get them to stick around even longer.”
You tried to maintain your feigned annoyance, but it was clear the playful teasing was getting the better of her. “Fine, fine. You all win. Maybe I do enjoy having them around, but don’t think I’m going to make it easy for them.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged satisfied glances, clearly pleased with their ability to get under your skin.
Klaus raised his glass with a flourish. “To our charming persistence and Y/n’s unspoken admiration.”
Elijah nodded, adding, “And to the fun we’ve had tonight. May it continue for many more evenings.”
You shook your head with a reluctant smile. “Alright, alright. I get it. You’re all insufferable, but I suppose I’ll have to put up with you.”
As the group continued to tease and joke, the atmosphere remained warm and lively. Despite your best efforts to appear annoyed, your genuine affection for the company and the playful banter was evident. The evening ended on a high note, filled with laughter and the unmistakable bond of friendship.
As the evening wore on and the trio continued their playful banter, you took a moment to address Klaus and Elijah directly, your tone teasing but with an undercurrent of sincerity.
“By the way,” you said, a smirk on your lips as you looked between the two men, “I still don’t like you guys.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, feigning shock. “Oh, is that so? Here we thought we were making some progress.”
Elijah leaned back in his chair, a knowing smile playing on his lips. “You’re not fooling anyone, Y/n. We can see through your tough exterior. If you really didn’t like us, you wouldn’t be spending so much time with us.”
You took another sip of your wine, your gaze steady. “Well, maybe I’m just trying to keep you two on your toes. It’s more fun that way.”
Klaus’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Ah, so you admit that we’re good for you, even if you refuse to admit it outright.”
Elijah chuckled, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. “And here I thought we were just a nuisance.”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile betrayed your true feelings. “Don’t get any ideas. Just because I’m spending time with you doesn’t mean I’ve changed my mind. I’m still not a fan of your constant teasing.”
Klaus raised his glass in a mock toast. “To being a ‘nuisance’ then. We’ll wear you down eventually.”
Elijah nodded in agreement. “And in the meantime, we’ll just keep enjoying these moments of banter.”
You shook your head, though the warmth in your eyes revealed that despite your words, you valued their company more than you let on. “Fine, fine. Just don’t expect me to admit I like you anytime soon.”
The next day, Klaus and Elijah decided it was time to make their move. They approached you with a blend of confidence and nervous anticipation, ready to ask you out on a date. The sun was shining, casting a warm glow over their little corner of the garden where they had gathered.
Klaus, with his usual charm, flashed a charming smile. “So, love, we were thinking, how about you join us for dinner tonight? A more private setting, just the three of us.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his eyes sincere. “We’d really like to spend some more time with you, away from the crowd. What do you say?”
You raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying their efforts. You leaned back, crossing your arms with a playful smirk. “Hmm, I don’t know. I’m pretty busy these days.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged glances, a mix of desperation and determination in their eyes.
Klaus leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a pleading tone. “Come on, love. Just one dinner. We promise to behave.”
Elijah added with a grin, “We’re begging you. It’ll be fun, and we won’t tease you too much. Promise.”
You pretended to think it over, your expression a mix of contemplation and amusement. “Really? You’re both so charming, but I’m not sure I can trust you to keep your hands to yourselves.”
Klaus and Elijah looked at each other, their expressions showing a mix of hope and exasperation.”We’ll be on our best behavior. Just give us a chance.”
Elijah smiles.“And if you don’t like it, you can always escape. We’ll make sure it’s a memorable evening, in the best way.”
You finally relented, though your tone was still playful. “Alright, fine. I’ll go out with you two. But let’s get one thing straight, if either of you try any funny business or plotting, I’m going to have to take drastic measures.”
Klaus and Elijah looked at you curiously.
You continued with a grin, “Any wondering hands or sneaky schemes, and I’m cutting your hands off. Deal?”
Klaus laughed, clearly impressed by your boldness. “Deal. We’ll be on our best behavior, and we promise to keep our hands to ourselves.”
Elijah chuckled, nodding in agreement. “We’re looking forward to it. And no plotting, we swear.”
You gave them a playful salute. “Great. Then it’s a date. I’ll see you both tonight.”
As you meticulously prepared for your evening out, you carefully selected an outfit that combined elegance with a hint of allure. The deep red dress you chose hugged your curves just right, while your makeup was applied with precision to enhance your features. The final touch was a pair of strappy heels that added a bit of glamor. You were excited about the evening, though you knew you needed to keep your plans under wraps.
Just as you were putting on your earrings, your sister walked into the room, her gaze immediately landing on your outfit. The surprise was evident in her expression.
“Wow, look at you,” Hayley said, her eyes widening. “Where are you headed all dressed up like that?”
You were caught off guard, quickly scrambled for a response. You turned to face your sister, trying to sound casual despite the flutter of nerves you felt. “Oh, just going out with some friends. Nothing special.”
Hayley’s curiosity seemed piqued, and she took a step closer, her gaze assessing your ensemble. “Friends, huh? You’re looking pretty glamorous for just a casual hangout. Are you sure there’s not something more going on?”
You forced a nonchalant smile, though you could feel your cheeks warming. “Yeah, well, sometimes it’s nice to dress up even if it’s just a regular night out. You know how it is.”
Hayley tilted her head, her expression a mix of skepticism and amusement. “Right. So, no details then? No hints about where you’re actually going or who you’re meeting?”
You shook your head, your tone playful but firm. “Nope, no hints. I’m just in the mood to look nice tonight. Besides, you know how much I hate to be teased. I’d rather keep things low-key.”
Hayley’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she crossed her arms. “Alright, if you insist. But if I find out later that you were out with someone interesting, don’t expect me to let you off the hook easily.”
You laughed softly, feeling a mix of relief and amusement. “Fine, fine. Just know that if you do end up hearing anything, it’ll be on a need-to-know basis. Now, if you don’t mind, I need to finish getting ready.”
In the living room, Hayley was sprawled on the couch, flipping through a magazine, when Klaus and Elijah walked in. Both were impeccably dressed, Klaus in a tailored suit and Elijah in a sleek blazer, exuding a refined charm that was hard to miss.
Hayley glanced up, her eyebrows raising in surprise. “You guys are all dressed up. Where are you headed tonight?”
Klaus, catching Hayley’s curious gaze, flashed a confident smile. “We’re heading out for a dinner with Y/n. It’s a special evening.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his tone light and casual. “Just a nice dinner, nothing too extravagant.”
Hayley’s eyes widened slightly, and she couldn’t help but smirk. “Oh really? You mean to tell me that my sister was lying to me about her evening plans?”
Klaus looked puzzled for a moment. “Lying?”
Hayley smirked, shaking her head with a knowing look. “Yeah, well, she said she was just going out with some friends and made a big deal about keeping things low-key. Seems like she wasn’t entirely honest.”
Elijah chuckled, clearly entertained by the situation. “Ah, the old ‘keeping secrets’ routine. Seems like she wanted to avoid any teasing.”
Klaus grinned, clearly amused. “Well, it looks like we’re in for an interesting evening. If she went through all that trouble to hide our plans, we must be doing something right.”
Hayley laughed, shaking her head as she stood up. “Your evening just got a lot more interesting. I’ll be eagerly waiting to hear all about it later.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged glances, both grinning at the playful turn of events.
As Hayley watched them leave, she shook her head with a mix of amusement and mild irritation. “You’re both lucky she likes you. Otherwise, I’d have a few choice words about how she’s handling this.”
With a final, teasing smile, Hayley settled back onto the couch, already anticipating the stories she’d hear later. The playful drama of the evening had only added to her entertainment, and she was more than ready to find out how the night would unfold.
As you finally emerged from your room, you found Klaus and Elijah waiting by the stairs, both looking dashing and ready for the evening. Their eyes lit up as they saw you, their admiration evident.
Klaus, with a charming smile, extended his hand to you. “You look absolutely stunning, love. We’re very lucky to have you join us tonight.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his gaze warm and appreciative. “Indeed. So beautiful like always. We’re both looking forward to a wonderful evening.”
You blushed slightly at their compliments, a smile playing on your lips. You made your way to the door, ready to head out. Just as three of you were about to leave, Hayley and Rebekah appeared in the hallway, clearly prepared to add their own touch of mischief.
“Look at you three, all dressed up and ready to go,” Hayley said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Seems like someone’s been keeping secrets.”
Rebekah joined in with a smirk, her gaze shifting between you and her brothers. “And here I thought Y/n was just hanging out with friends. Looks like there’s a bit more to the story.”
You cleared your throat, your tone firm as you addressed the teasing. “Actually, I’m not going with them. Remember,Hayley, I was just going to hang out with friends.”
Hayley’s eyes widened in mock surprise. “Oh, really? So all this effort and glamour is for just a casual evening?”
You nodded, trying to maintain your composure despite the playful challenge. “That’s right. I’m simply dressing up for a night out with friends. No need to make a big deal out of it.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged amused glances, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. Klaus leaned in slightly, his voice low and teasing. “Well, if you insist. But I must say, it’s quite the coincidence that your ‘friends’ are so well-dressed.”
Elijah added with a grin, “Indeed. I guess we’ll just have to make sure the evening lives up to the expectation.”
You gave them a playful look, then turned back to your sister and Rebekah. “I’m serious. Let’s not make this a bigger deal than it needs to be.”
Hayley and Rebekah exchanged one last teasing glance before stepping aside, allowing you, Klaus, and Elijah to make it to the exit. As the trio walked out the door, the playful banter continued, adding a light-hearted touch to their evening plans.
As you and the boys stepped out of the house and into the crisp evening air, Klaus couldn’t help but turn to you with a teasing smile.
“You know,” Klaus began, his tone light and playful, “you’re quite the liar, love.”
You raised an eyebrow, glancing at him with a mixture of surprise and amusement. “Oh, really? And what makes you say that?”
Klaus chuckled, shaking his head as he walked alongside you. “Well, the way you fibbed about your plans. I had a feeling there was more to it than just a casual hangout with friends.”
Elijah, listening to the exchange, added with a smirk, “And we’re not exactly disappointed. It seems you were just trying to avoid a bit of teasing from your sister and Rebekah.”
You laughed softly, shaking your head. “Guilty as charged. I just didn’t want to deal with the endless questions and teasing. I knew they wouldn’t let up.”
Klaus smiled, clearly enjoying the banter. “Well, it’s good to see you’ve managed to keep some secrets. Adds a little excitement to the evening.”
Elijah nodded, his tone warm. “Indeed. And we’ll make sure this evening lives up to the hype. We wouldn’t want to disappoint our glamorous companion.”
You grinned, feeling a mix of excitement and gratitude for their company. “Well, I guess I’ll have to make sure the night is worth all the secrecy and effort.”
With that, the trio continued on their way, the playful banter and genuine affection between them making the evening all the more enjoyable. The anticipation for the night ahead only grew stronger as they made their way to their destination, ready to enjoy their time together.
As they walked along, you glanced over at Klaus and Elijah, a mischievous smile playing on your lips. “Besides,” you said with a playful tone, “remember that I don’t actually like you guys.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Oh, really? And here we were thinking we were winning you over with our charm.”
Elijah chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling. “Yes, I suppose we’ll have to work even harder to change your mind.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “Well, don’t get too comfortable. I’m still not ready to admit that I actually enjoy your company.”
Klaus grinned, his eyes gleaming with playful defiance. “Challenge accepted. We’ll see just how much we can charm you by the end of the evening.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his tone light. “Indeed. Consider this our mission for tonight.”
You smiled, feeling a warm sense of camaraderie despite your easing. “Alright then, let’s see what you’ve got. But don’t think I’ll go easy on you.”
With that, the three of you continued on your way, the playful banter and mutual affection adding to the excitement of the evening ahead. The night promised to be filled with laughter, charm, and perhaps a few surprises, making it one to remember.
As soon as the door clicked shut behind them, Klaus leaned against the frame, arms crossed, a smirk pulling at his lips. "Well, love," he began, eyes gleaming with mischief, "now that the night is over, how are you going to explain to your dear sister that you weren’t just out with 'friends'?"
You shot him a mock-glare, slipping off your heels. “You two are nothing but a headache, that’s how I’ll explain it.”
Elijah, ever the calm one, but no less playful, stepped forward and offered you his hand to balance you as you slipped into your slippers. “A headache? I’m almost certain you enjoyed yourself this evening, Y/n,” he teased, his voice velvet smooth. “In fact, I believe I saw you smiling more than once.”
Klaus snorted. “Oh, more than once, Elijah. I distinctly recall a moment where she almost laughed at one of your terrible history lessons.”
You rolled your eyes, suppressing a grin. “You both have overinflated egos, you know that?”
Klaus circled around you, his voice dropping into that dangerously teasing tone of his. “Admit it, love. You had a good time. For someone who claims not to like us, you certainly seemed to enjoy our company tonight.”
You huffed dramatically, arms crossing as you plopped down onto the couch. “Sure, I had fun, between all the terrible jokes and the fact that you two wouldn’t stop bickering about whose turn it was to pay the bill.”
Elijah smiled, sitting beside you. “You’re deflecting, Y/n. If you hated us so much, you wouldn’t have agreed to dinner at all.”
“Exactly,” Klaus chimed in, leaning casually on the back of the couch, his grin devilish. “In fact, I’d wager you’re looking forward to our next outing already.”
You narrowed your eyes, though the corner of your mouth twitched in amusement. “Don’t get too ahead of yourselves. I just didn’t want to eat alone tonight, alright?”
Klaus leaned closer, his lips quirking into a grin. “Whatever you need to tell yourself, love.”
Elijah chuckled softly at your side, adding in his usual calm way, “Perhaps next time we’ll make it even more unbearable, just to test your resolve.”
You rolled your eyes again, unable to fight back the smile threatening to break free. “You two really are the worst.”
Klaus, with a wink, stood up and stretched lazily. “And yet, you can’t seem to resist us. Funny how that works, isn’t it?”
Elijah placed a hand gently on your shoulder, his expression one of mock concern. “If we truly bother you so much, perhaps next time you should invite someone else to distract yourself.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Oh, don’t worry. I’ll bring someone to keep me entertained and save me from your endless teasing.”
Klaus smirked, clearly entertained by the idea. “Good luck with that, love. No one’s quite as good as us at keeping you on your toes.”
You stood, giving both brothers a challenging look before making your way towards the stairs. “You know, if this keeps up, I’ll be the one who needs saving from you two.”
Klaus chuckled. “We’ll see about that.”
Elijah, ever the gentleman, gave her a slight nod. “Sleep well, Y/n. We’ll be sure to make your life as difficult as possible tomorrow.”
You shook your head, a playful smile still on your face as you turned and headed up the stairs. Despite all your protests and teasing, there was no denying that they made your nights far more interesting than you’d care to admit.
As you disappeared from sight, Klaus leaned toward Elijah, his voice low but amused. “She’s enjoying this far more than she lets on.”
Elijah smirked, his eyes still on the staircase. “That’s the fun of it, brother. She enjoys pretending to hate us, but we both know the truth.”
The next morning, you weren't the only one to wake up with a playful mood hanging over you. In the kitchen, Hayley and Rebekah had already started their day, drinking coffee and chatting quietly when Klaus and Elijah finally walked in.
Hayley immediately raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a mischievous grin. “Well, well, look who finally decided to show up. How was your night out with my sister?”
Klaus rolled his eyes, clearly already prepared for the teasing. “Good morning to you too, Hayley,” he said, ignoring the bait as he grabbed a mug from the cupboard.
Rebekah, leaning casually against the counter, took a slow sip of her coffee, her eyes glinting with amusement. “I’m more curious about Y/n. I mean, she looked like she was about to burst into flames when she walked past us last night. Almost as if she were... trying to hide something. What did you two do to her?”
Elijah, ever composed, simply smiled as he poured himself a cup. “Nothing more than what a pleasant dinner should offer. We were the very picture of decorum.”
Klaus chuckled under his breath. “Mostly.”
Hayley, never one to let an opportunity pass, smirked. “You’re telling me my sister spent the entire night with you two and didn’t strangle either of you? That’s impressive.”
Rebekah added with a wicked grin, “Or perhaps a little too impressive. You didn’t compel her to tolerate you, did you?”
Klaus shot Rebekah a dry look. “Please. I don’t need compulsion to be tolerated.” He took a sip of his coffee and leaned casually against the counter. “She enjoys our company. She just refuses to admit it.”
Rebekah laughed. “Oh, I’m sure she’s absolutely thrilled every time you show up.”
Elijah smiled slightly, unruffled as always. “Y/n has a sense of humor. She knows how to play along.”
Hayley snorted. “Oh, is that what you call it? Because from where I’m standing, it sounds like you two are enjoying the chase a little too much.”
Rebekah tilted her head toward Hayley, her smile devious. “I’m sure it’s more than just ‘enjoying.’ Honestly, it’s adorable how much time they’ve spent trying to win her over. You’d think they were schoolboys with a crush.”
Klaus shot his sister a warning look, but his smirk betrayed him. “Careful, sister. If you’re not nice, you might find yourself spending more time with Y/n than you'd like.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t mind,” Rebekah teased. “In fact, I think I might help her avoid you two next time. Someone’s got to protect her from your endless need to charm.”
Hayley grinned, shaking her head. “Good luck with that, Bekah. My sister seems to enjoy fighting them off just as much as they enjoy pestering her.”
Rebekah took another sip of her coffee, a gleam in her eye. “Well, one of these days, they might actually manage to wear her down.”
Klaus chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “We’ve got time.”
Elijah smiled slightly, his tone mild. “Persistence is key, after all.”
Hayley rolled her eyes, though there was amusement in her voice. “Just don’t let her catch wind of this conversation, or you two will be in even deeper trouble than you already are.”
Rebekah grinned wickedly. “Oh, I wouldn’t mind seeing that. The wrath of Y/n is always entertaining.”
Klaus raised his mug in mock salute. “Here’s to the challenge, then.”
Elijah nodded, his eyes twinkling. “Indeed. It keeps things interesting.”
Rebekah and Hayley exchanged glances, laughing softly. “Interesting, sure,” Hayley said with a grin. “Just try not to end up on her bad side... again.”
Later that afternoon, you were sprawled across the couch, enjoying a moment of peace after the eventful night before. Your phone buzzed with a text from Klaus, asking you to meet him and Elijah downstairs. You sighed, already suspecting what was coming. As you made your way down to the living room, Klaus and Elijah were lounging around, clearly waiting for you.
Klaus greeted you with a sly smile, his voice dripping with charm. "There she is, the woman of the hour. How about we take you out again tonight, love? Somewhere even more enjoyable than last night."
Elijah, ever the gentleman, added with his trademark calm smile, "It would be our pleasure to show you an even better time than before."
You stopped in your tracks, eyeing the two with suspicion. “Absolutely not,” you said firmly, crossing your arms. “I barely survived last night with you two.”
Klaus's smirk widened, his eyes dancing with amusement. “Oh, come now, love. You know you enjoyed it.”
Elijah gave you a gentle, teasing look. “We wouldn’t ask if we thought you didn’t want to come.”
You rolled your eyes dramatically. “I didn’t want to come last night, and I don’t want to come tonight.”
Klaus stepped forward, still smirking, as if he hadn’t heard a word. “You can’t deny it, love. You had a great time. Why not make it two nights in a row?”
Elijah, ever the picture of grace, leaned in slightly. “Consider it a... follow-up. To ensure your enjoyment was not a one-time occurrence.”
You exhaled, exasperated, yet you couldn’t help but smile. “You two are impossible. No means no.”
Klaus chuckled, clearly unfazed. “Ah, but you didn’t say it with conviction, love. I think there’s a part of you that’s curious.”
You narrowed your eyes, trying to maintain your resolve, though a small part of you did find their persistence amusing. “No. Absolutely not. I’m not falling for this again.”
Elijah's lips twitched in a barely concealed smile. “I must say, Y/n, your resistance is admirable. But I suspect, deep down, you're tempted.”
Klaus tilted his head, his gaze steady on you. “You can keep pretending, love, but we both know you’ll say yes eventually. Might as well make it easy on yourself.”
You raised a hand, trying to hold back a laugh. “No wondering hands, no plotting, no mind games.”
Klaus’s grin widened into a full smirk. “Deal.”
Elijah inclined his head, eyes sparkling with amusement. “Agreed. We’ll be on our best behavior.”
You shook your head, letting out an exasperated sigh. “Fine. But the second any of you step out of line, I’m leaving.”
Klaus’s eyes gleamed with victory. “Understood, love. We’ll be on our best behavior... for now.”
Elijah nodded, his smile warm and teasing at the same time. “We wouldn’t dare risk scaring you off.”
You looked between them, knowing full well they’d find a way to push your buttons, but despite yourself, you were already looking forward to the chaos they’d undoubtedly bring. “You two are going to regret this.”
Klaus leaned in with a wink. “We regret nothing.”
Just as you, and the boys were heading toward the door, ready to embark on their so-called "no-plotting, no-wondering -hands" outing, Hayley and Rebekah appeared in the doorway, side by side, looking far too amused for your liking.
“Well, well,” Hayley said, crossing her arms with a smirk, her gaze bouncing between you and the boys. “Isn’t this cozy? Another night out with the boys, Y/n? Didn't you say you weren't going to let them drag you out again?”
You felt a flash of irritation, but you kept your expression neutral. “I wasn’t dragged anywhere. I'm only going to make sure they don’t get into trouble.”
Rebekah raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening. “Right. Because that's always how it goes when you’re around Klaus and Elijah. Purely supervision.” She winked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
You shot her a pointed glare. “Someone has to keep an eye on them.”
Klaus chuckled, stepping closer to your side. “She’s right. Without her, we’d be absolutely lost.”
Hayley snorted, clearly unconvinced. “Lost, huh? Funny, because from what I saw last night, it looked like Y/n was the one in over her head.”
Elijah smiled calmly, his voice smooth as ever. “Now, Hayley, Y/n was perfectly in control. We were the ones being kept in check.”
Rebekah grinned wickedly, eyeing you up and down. “Are you sure you're not the one being dragged into their little games, Y/n? I mean, it seems like you’re making a habit of hanging out with these two.”
You crossed your arms, feigning nonchalance. “I have no idea what you’re talking about. And for the record, I’m just being nice. Somebody has to.”
Klaus leaned closer to you with a teasing smile. “Of course, love. You’re just being nice.” He glanced at Rebekah and Hayley. “She absolutely can’t resist us.”
You glared up at Klaus, then turned back to your sister and Rebekah. “I’m not going with them,” you declared firmly. “I told you, I’m meeting up with friends tonight.”
Hayley raised an eyebrow, looking far too entertained. “Friends, huh? Funny, because I’m pretty sure Klaus and Elijah count as anything but 'just friends.'"
Rebekah laughed, her eyes gleaming with amusement. “Oh, sweetie, don’t try to lie to us. We know you far too well for that.”
You huffed, rolling your eyes. “Believe what you want. I’m still not going with them.”
Hayley smirked knowingly, clearly seeing through her sister’s act. “Right. Because it’s just a coincidence you’re standing at the door with them, all ready to go.”
Klaus chuckled again, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “She’s a terrible liar, isn’t she?”
Elijah simply smiled, his tone gentle but teasing. “It’s one of her many endearing qualities.”
You shot them both a look, trying to keep your composure. “I don’t need to explain myself to you two,” you muttered, pushing past them toward the door.
Rebekah grinned wickedly as she called after you. “Enjoy your ‘friends,’ Y/n!”
You didn’t bother turning around, waving dismissively over your houlder. “I will.”
As the door closed behind them, Klaus couldn’t help but murmur with a smirk, “Love, you’re such a liar again.”
You smiled to yourself but kept walking. “Who cares? Besides, remember that I still don’t like you guys.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged a glance, both of them wearing knowing smiles as they followed you into the night. They might not have had the full truth, but they both knew one thing: you were far from done with them.
The night had progressed with its usual banter, drinks shared, and casual teasing between you and the boys. The three of you sat in a quiet corner of a bar, you were nursing a cocktail while Klaus and Elijah exchanged amused glances. The mood was light and comfortable, with a teasing undercurrent that always seemed to hang between them and you.
After a moment of silence, Klaus broke it with a smirk. “So, love, we’ve been thinking.”
You raised an eyebrow, glancing between him and Elijah. “Should I be worried?”
Elijah smiled gently, leaning in. “Not at all. But we do have a... proposition.”
You sighed, already sensing the mischief behind their words. “Oh, great. Another proposition. What is it this time?”
Klaus chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with amusement. “How would you feel about making this little... arrangement of ours more official?”
You blinked, looking from Klaus to Elijah in surprise. “Wait, are you two actually asking me to be your... girlfriend?”
Elijah’s expression remained calm, but there was a teasing warmth in his gaze. “Well, we were hoping for a more romantic way of putting it, but yes, essentially.”
Klaus leaned closer, his voice smooth and teasing. “After all, love, it’s not like we haven’t been acting like we’re already together.”
You stared at them, your mind racing, but then you huffed, crossing your arms. “You two are unbelievable.”
Klaus smirked, clearly enjoying this. “Is that a yes, then?”
You narrowed your eyes at him, playing hard to get. “Oh, no. You don’t get off that easy. You think I’m just going to say yes and let you two smug bastards waltz around like you won or something?”
Elijah raised an eyebrow, his expression mildly amused. “We don’t need to ‘waltz around’ anything. The answer’s already in your eyes.”
Klaus chuckled. “Come on,love. admit it. You’ve had a good time with us, and you know it.”
You try to keep up your resistant front, though a smile was starting to tug at the corners of your lips. “You two are the absolute worst.”
Elijah smiled serenely. “And yet you keep coming back.”
You sighed dramatically, pretending to think about it for a moment before finally rolling your eyes. “Fine. Fine. I’ll be your girlfriend. But—" you pointed at both of them, your expression is serious despite the amusement flickering in your eyes, “—there are rules.”
Klaus tilted his head, intrigued. “Oh? What rules might those be?”
You leaned back, crossing your arms. “When we’re around my sister or Rebekah, we hate each other. Got it?”
Elijah raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Hate each other?”
You nodded firmly. “Exactly. We despise each other. I don’t need them getting in my business more than they already do.”
Klaus chuckled softly, leaning forward. “So we’re playing pretend now? Must we act like complete enemies?”
You shot him a glare. “Yes. When they’re around, we argue, we fight, we throw insults at each other. Otherwise, they’ll never let me hear the end of it.”
Elijah gave a small smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Very well. If that’s what you wish.”
Klaus shook his head, clearly entertained. “This will be fun. But you do realize, love, that your sister’s going to see right through this little act of yours.”
You scoffed. “She doesn’t need to know anything. As long as you two stick to the plan, we’re golden.”
Klaus gave you a teasing smile. “Fine. We’ll hate each other, if that’s what makes you happy.”
Elijah nodded, his tone calm and diplomatic as usual. “Agreed. We’ll play along, though I doubt it’ll last long.”
You finally smiled, satisfied with the agreement. “Good. Because if you two mess this up, I’ll make your lives miserable.”
Klaus smirked, clearly unbothered by your threat. “Love, you already make our lives more interesting. What’s a little more chaos?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, shaking your head at the ridiculousness of it all. “Just remember, publicly, we hate each other.”
Elijah gave you a knowing look. “As you wish, Y/n. As you wish.”
As the three of you approached the mansion, you caught sight of Rebekah standing outside, her arms crossed as she leaned casually against the doorframe. Your heart skipped a beat, and you immediately dropped Klaus and Elijah’s hands like they were burning hot coals.
“Don’t touch me,” you hissed under your breath, stepping away from the two brothers as they exchanged amused glances. You cleared your throat, straightening your posture and plastering an annoyed expression on your face.
Klaus smirked, clearly enjoying your shift in demeanor. “Ah, the game begins,” he whispered slowly, his voice laced with humor.
Elijah, ever the gentleman, kept his calm composure, though a hint of a smirk tugged at his lips. “Remember, Y/n, we must hate each other now,” he murmured, his tone barely concealing his amusement.
You rolled your eyes, stepping further away from them as they neared Rebekah. “Don’t remind me.”
Rebekah’s eyes lit up the second she spotted them. Her smirk grew wide, and you could already see the teasing comment forming on her lips.
“Well, well, well, look who decided to come home together,” Rebekah drawled, pushing off the doorframe and eyeing them with thinly veiled amusement. “Had a nice time, did we?”
You quickly threw on your best scowl, folding your arms across your chest and glaring at Klaus and Elijah. “Not particularly,” you snapped. “These two were as unbearable as usual.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, playing along. “Unbearable? My love Y/n, you were practically hanging off us all night.”
You shot him a death glare. “Don’t flatter yourself, Mikaelson. The only reason I was even there was to make sure you didn’t do anything stupid.”
Elijah, ever calm and composed, chimed in with a faint smile. “She was quite insistent on keeping us out of trouble. Very responsible of her, don’t you think?”
You gave him a side-eye, but before you could retort, Rebekah let out a snort of laughter.
“Oh, please. The three of you can barely stay apart for more than an hour, and now you want me to believe you hate each other? Nice try.” She gave you a knowing look, her smirk widening. “You’re not fooling anyone, sweetheart anymore.”
Your eyes widened slightly in panic, but you quickly recovered, glaring at Rebekah. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. These two are impossible to deal with. I’m just stuck cleaning up their messes.”
Klaus, enjoying the act far too much, leaned in with a mischievous grin. “Is that what we’re calling it now? Cleaning up after us?”
Your glare intensified. “Don’t push me, hybrid.”
Rebekah raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained. “Right. And you just happened to be out together, holding hands all night because... what? You felt like tormenting each other?”
You sputtered for a moment, trying to think of a convincing excuse. “I— We weren’t holding hands! That’s ridiculous!”
Klaus chuckled softly, leaning toward Rebekah. “She’s lying, of course. But it’s adorable that she thinks she can fool you.”
You shot him a furious look, then turned to Rebekah. “Don’t listen to him. He’s full of it, as usual.”
Rebekah laughed, shaking her head. “Oh, Y/n, you’re terrible at this. But I appreciate the effort.”
You huffed, crossing your arms tightly and stomping toward the front door. “Whatever. Believe what you want.”
Elijah shared a quick glance with Klaus, both of them clearly enjoying Your flustered state.
Klaus called after you, his voice full of amusement. “We’ll see you inside, love.”
You didn’t bother turning around, but you muttered under your breath, “I hate you guys.”
As Klaus and Elijah finished dressing, the atmosphere in your room was still charged with the aftermath of your passionate encounter. You were, trying to regain your composure, quickly moved to open the door, your eyes scanning the hallway for any sign of unwelcome guests.
"Alright, you two, time to go," you said firmly, your tone brooking no argument. You glanced at both of them with a mix of satisfaction and urgency. "We don’t want Rebekah or Hayley catching you here."
Klaus, with a lingering smirk, adjusted his jacket and nodded. “As you wish, love. Always a pleasure.”
Elijah, ever the gentleman, straightened his suit and offered you a reassuring smile. “We’ll be going. But remember, Y/n, our arrangement is far from over.”
You shot him a pointed look. “Just go before someone sees you guys.”
As they made their way out, the door swung open slightly, and they nearly collided with Hayley, who had been casually walking down the hallway. Her eyes widened with a mischievous glint, and she smirked at the two men.
“Well, well,” Hayley drawled, leaning against the doorframe with a knowing look. “What do we have here?”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged a brief, amused glance before Klaus stepped forward with a charming smile. “Hayley. Just the person we needed to see.”
Elijah nodded politely, his expression calm but his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Hayley.”
Hayley raised an eyebrow, her gaze shifting back and forth between them and the partially open door of your room. “I see. Looks like you two had a... busy night.”
Klaus, always quick on his feet, feigned innocence. “Busy? Hardly. We were simply saying our goodbyes.”
Elijah joined in the act, maintaining his calm demeanor. “Indeed. We were just leaving.”
Hayley’s smirk grew wider as she stepped closer, her eyes flicking toward your door. “I didn’t realize you two were so... close with Y/n.”
Klaus chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Oh, we’re very close. But not too close, I assure you.”
Elijah, looking unruffled, added smoothly, “We’re just very... attentive friends.”
You appeared at the door, your face flushed and your hair slightly disheveled. You threw a quick, irritated glance at Klaus and Elijah. “Are you guys done? I’m trying to keep things private here.”
Hayley’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she turned her attention to you. “Looks like you’re having quite a bit of fun.”
You tried to maintain your composure, though you were clearly flustered. “It’s none of your business, Hayley.”
Klaus gave you a teasing look, then turned to Hayley. “Well, Hayley, it was lovely seeing you. We’ll be off now.”
Elijah nodded in agreement. “Take care, Hayley.”
With that, the two men made their hasty exit, leaving you and your sister standing in the hallway. You sighed, rubbing your temples.
Hayley watched them go, a playful smirk on her lips. “So, are you going to tell me what’s really going on here?”
You clearly exasperated, rolled your eyes. “It’s none of your business. Just drop it, okay?”
Hayley’s grin widened as she followed you back into the room. “Oh, I’m sure it’s just the beginning. But fine, I’ll drop it, for now.”
As the door closed behind them, you leaned against it, your mind already racing with how you would manage to keep your secret from everyone. The night had definitely turned out more complicated than you had anticipated.
The living room was dimly lit by the soft glow of the television screen, casting a warm ambiance over the cozy setup. You and the boys were sprawled comfortably on the couch, indulging in a movie night. Klaus and Elijah flanked you on either side, their arms draped around you as they all snacked on popcorn and sipped wine. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, with you nestled snugly between the two brothers.
Just as Klaus reached for the popcorn, the door creaked open, and Hayley’s voice rang out with a teasing lilt. “Well, well, what do we have here?”
Your eyes widened in horror, and you scrambled to distance yourself from Klaus and Elijah, stumbling over the popcorn bowl in the process. “It’s not what it looks like!” You blurted out, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Rebekah sauntered into the room with an amused smirk, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “Oh, but it sure is what it looks like. You’re cuddling with my brothers.”
Klaus, trying to regain his composure, shot a playful glare at you. “Well, love, it seems our cover’s been blown.”
Elijah sighed, giving you a knowing look. “I suppose there’s no hiding it now.”
You threw your hands up in mock exasperation. “Fine! We’re dating. You two finally got us. Happy now?”
Rebekah’s grin widened as she leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. “Oh, absolutely. But don’t think you’re off the hook that easily.”
Hayley, ever the instigator, waltzed over and plopped herself down on the edge of the couch. “So, are we joining you for the movie, or...?”
You quickly stepped between Hayley and the couch, your expression a mix of irritation and amusement. “Oh, no. Not happening. This was supposed to be a private night.”
Klaus and Elijah nodded in agreement, their expressions equally firm but with a hint of playfulness. “We’d appreciate it if you two would give us some privacy,” Elijah said smoothly.
Hayley raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. “Are you sure you want to be alone? It looks like you’re already quite comfortable.”
Klaus chuckled, his arm slipping around your waist as he pulled you closer. “As much as we love the company, we’d prefer if you left us to our movie night.”
Rebekah, with her usual mischief, stepped forward. “Oh, come on. It’s not every day I get to tease you three. Why not let us stay?”
You shook your head, trying to hold back a laugh. “No way. You’re not turning our movie night into a circus.”
Hayley and Rebekah exchanged knowing glances before reluctantly standing up. “Alright, alright,” Hayley said with a smirk. “We’ll leave you to your private cuddle fest.”
Rebekah gave you a playful wink. “Don’t think this is over. We’ll be watching.
As Hayley and Rebekah headed toward the door, Klaus and Elijah quickly resumed their positions on the couch, pulling you back into their embrace.
Once the door closed behind the sisters, you let out a relieved sigh, leaning into Klaus and Elijah. “Finally, some peace and quiet.”
Klaus smirked, his arm wrapped around you. “Indeed. Though, I must say, having them walk in was quite the unexpected twist.”
Elijah nodded, his gaze softening as he looked at you. “At least we can enjoy our movie now, without any more interruptions.”
You smiled up at you, your cheeks still flushed but your eyes twinkled with happiness. “Definitely. Just us, the popcorn, and the wine.”
Klaus chuckled softly, planting a kiss on your forehead. “Perfect.”
As the movie continued, the room was filled with the soft sounds of laughter and the occasional clink of wine glasses, the earlier embarrassment giving way to a cozy, intimate evening.
As the movie played on, you snuggled comfortably between Klaus and Elijah, but your earlier embarrassment had turned into playful banter. You glanced at Klaus and Elijah, your eyes twinkling with mischief.
“You know,” you said with a teasing tone, “if you two had been a bit more careful, we wouldn’t have been caught.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. “Caught? We weren’t exactly hiding, love. It’s not our fault if you’re so irresistible that we can’t keep our hands off you.”
Elijah, his voice smooth and calm, added, “Indeed. It seems we were simply too engrossed in our private moment to notice the door wasn’t fully closed.”
You rolled your eyes, your smile widening as you shook your head. “Oh, so now it’s my fault for being irresistible? Classic excuse.”
Klaus chuckled softly, his arm tightening around you. “Well, it’s certainly a convenient one.”
Elijah leaned in, his tone teasing. “And you did look quite comfortable nestled between us. It was hard to resist.”
You playfully nudged him with your elbow. “If you two had been a little more discreet, maybe I wouldn’t have had to explain our situation to Rebekah and Hayley.”
Klaus grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Ah, but where’s the fun in being discreet?”
Elijah smiled, his gaze warm as he looked at you. “Indeed. Sometimes, a little chaos adds to the enjoyment.”
You laughed, leaning back into their embrace. “Well, thanks to your lack of caution, I had to deal with Rebekah and Hayley’s teasing. So, consider yourselves warned. Next time, I expect you both to be more careful.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged amused glances before settling back into their cozy positions. “We’ll take that under advisement,” Klaus said with a grin.
Elijah nodded, adding, “But for now, let’s just enjoy the movie.”
As the film played on, you nestled comfortably between them, the earlier embarrassment now a source of playful banter. The room was filled with soft laughter, the warmth of their shared closeness, and the cozy ambiance of their private movie night.
The morning sun filtered through the curtains as you and your sister prepared for the pack meeting. You were dressed in your casual but stylish outfit, gathering your things when Klaus and Elijah strolled into the room, their expressions a mix of reluctance and concern.
“Do you really have to go?” Klaus asked, his tone almost pleading as he reached out to tug on your sleeve.
Elijah, standing beside Klaus, added with a dramatic sigh, “Yes, must you leave so early? Can’t the meeting wait?”
You laughed softly, shaking your head at their playful theatrics. “Oh, come on. It’s just a pack meeting. I’ll be back before you know it.”
Klaus pouted slightly, crossing his arms. “But we were just getting used to having you all to ourselves.”
Elijah gave you a mock hurt look. “Yes, and we were rather enjoying the peace and quiet of our private time”
You couldn’t help but smile at their exaggerated displays. You stepped closer to them, placing a hand on each of their chests. “You know, I’m going to miss you two too.”
Klaus and Elijah’s expressions softened, though their playful disappointment remained. “Promise you’ll hurry back?” Klaus asked, his voice almost a whisper.
You nodded, your eyes twinkling with affection. “I promise. But before I go, I think you both need a little reminder of how much I care.”
Without missing a beat, you leaned in and pressed a soft, lingering kiss on Klaus’s lips, then turned to Elijah and did the same. The kiss was sweet and tender, filled with the warmth of her affection and the promise of your return.
Klaus and Elijah, momentarily stunned, blinked up at you with wide eyes, their playful frowns melting into genuine smiles. “Well,” Klaus said, his voice a low purr as he pulled her into a gentle embrace, “love. with that kiss of yours. we can let you go.”
Elijah, his gaze soft and filled with admiration, nodded in agreement. “Indeed. We’ll eagerly await your return.”
You chuckled, giving them one last squeeze before stepping back. “I’ll see you both soon. And remember, behave yourselves while I’m gone.”
As you and Hayley headed out the door, Klaus and Elijah watched you and your sister go, their smiles lingering as they exchanged a knowing look. The dramatic farewell had been just what they needed to remind them of the bond they shared, and they couldn’t wait for your return.
The room was buzzing with the low hum of conversations as the werewolves gathered for the pack meeting. You and Hayley sat together at one end of the room, chatting quietly about the latest pack developments. Your conversation was interrupted as Alexander, one of the werewolves, stepped up to the front, signaling that the meeting was about to begin.
As the room fell silent, Alexander cleared his throat and began to speak. “Thank you all for coming. We have a very important announcement to make.”
You and Hayley exchanged a curious glance, your conversation fading as they focused on Alexander. One of the werewolves continued, “We are pleased to announce that there will be a wedding between Jackson Kenner and Y/n Marshall.”
A collective murmur swept through the room, but your attention was solely on Hayley. Your eyes widened in shock, and you turned back to Alexander. “Wait, what? I can’t do that. I’m currently in a relationship.”
Alexander's expression remained stern. “This is a matter of great importance for the pack. It has been decided that this marriage is essential for maintaining our alliance and ensuring the stability of our community.”
Your heart raced, and you turned to your sister for support. Hayley stood up, her face a mixture of frustration and determination. “This isn’t right. Y/n is already in a relationship. You can’t just force her into this.”
Alexander's gaze was unyielding. “The decision has bee made. Y/n must end her current relationship and prepare for the wedding.”
Your frustration grew, your voice rising in protest. “This is insane! I can’t just break up with them because of some pack’s alliance. There has to be another way.”
Hayley stepped forward, trying to argue, but Alexander held up a hand to silence her. “This is not up for discussion. Y/n must comply with the decision.”
Your eyes were filled with a mix of anger and despair. “So that’s it? I just have to accept this?”
Alexander nodded firmly. “You have until the end of the week to end your current relationship and make arrangements for the wedding.”
Hayley looked at you, her expression one of sympathy and frustration. “I’m so sorry, Y/n. We’ll figure out a way to make this right.”
As the meeting continued, you sat in stunned silence, your thoughts racing as you tried to process the sudden turn of events. The prospect of having to break up with them and marry Jackson Kenner was overwhelming, and you couldn’t shake the feeling of helplessness that weighed heavily on your shoulders.
That night, the atmosphere was tense as Elijah and Klaus noticed your demeanor had shifted significantly. The warmth and cheerfulness they were used to had been replaced by a more subdued and troubled air.
They found you in the living room, sitting alone with a distant look in your eyes. Klaus approached first, his voice gentle but filled with concern. “Love, you seem off tonight. Is everything alright?”
You forced a smile, though it didn’t quite reach your eyes. “I’m fine. Just a bit tired, that’s all.”
Elijah, not convinced by your reassurances, took a seat next to her. “You know you can talk to us about anything. We’ve noticed something’s bothering you.”
You glanced at them, your resolve wavering for a moment before you shook your head. “Really, it’s nothing. Just some stuff from the meeting earlier.”
Klaus and Elijah exchanged a worried look before deciding to speak to Hayley, hoping she might shed some light on the situation. They found her in the kitchen, busy with a late-night snack.
“Hayley,” Klaus began, his tone serious, “we’re concerned about Y/n. She’s been acting strange since the meeting. Is everything alright?”
Hayley looked up from what she was doing, her expression thoughtful. “I can’t tell you anything, Y/n is the one who needs to talk to you. It’s not my place to reveal what’s going on.”
Elijah, trying to understand, pressed further. “But she seems really distressed. Is there something we should know?”
Hayley sighed, her eyes showing a mix of frustration and empathy. “She’s dealing with a lot right now. The announcement from the meeting, it’s a huge deal for her. She needs to come to terms with it in her own way.”
Klaus nodded slowly, a frown deepening on his face. “Alright, we’ll give her space. But if there’s anything we can do to help, please let us know.”
Hayley gave them a small, sympathetic smile. “Just be patient. It’s a lot for her to process.”
As Klaus and Elijah returned to the living room, they found you lost in your thoughts. They could see the strain on your face, and despite your attempts to mask it, it was clear that the weight of the situation was heavy on you.
Klaus sat beside you, his tone soft but filled with care. “We’re here for you, Y/n. Whenever you’re ready to talk, we’ll listen.”
Elijah nodded in agreement, his eyes filled with understanding. “Just know that you’re not alone in this. We want to support you however we can.”
You looked at them, your heart aching with the burden of the forced decision you faced. Though you were still reluctant to fully open up, the comfort of their presence provided a small solace in the midst of your turmoil.
On a quiet Sunday night, the moon hung low over the horizon, casting long shadows across the Mikaelson estate. You sat nervously in the grand drawing room, your heart heavy with the weight of the conversation you were about to initiate. Klaus and Elijah, both unaware of the storm brewing in your mind, lounged casually nearby.
“Klaus, Elijah,” you began, your voice trembling slightly as you fought to maintain composure. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
Klaus looked up from his book, his usual confident demeanor slipping into concern. “What’s wrong, love?”
Elijah, sensing the seriousness in your tone, straightened. “Is everything alright?”
Taking a deep breath, you continued, your eyes meeting theirs with a mix of sadness and resolve. “The pack… they’ve been pressuring me. They want me to marry Jackson.”
The room fell silent. Klaus’s eyes widened in disbelief, his face a portrait of anguish. “What? But why?”
Your gaze dropped to the floor, unable to meet the pain you saw reflected in their eyes. “It’s complicated. The pack’s tradition is binding, and they believe it’s necessary for maintaining peace. I don’t have a choice in the matter.”
Elijah’s expression softened, though his heartache was evident. “But what about us? What about everything we’ve shared? Surely they must understand—”
“I tried to explain,” you interrupted, your voice breaking. “But they’re adamant. They want to solidify their alliance with the Crescent Pack through this marriage. It’s not just about me; it’s about politics and power.”
Klaus stood abruptly, his face a mix of fury and despair. “So, you’re leaving us. You’re choosing Jackson over us.”
“No,” you cried out, tears spilling down your cheeks. “It’s not about choosing. It’s about having no choice at all. I love you both, but they’re forcing me into this. I can’t defy them without risking everything.”
Elijah reached out, his hand gently touching your arm, but his eyes were filled with sorrow. “Is there truly no way to avoid this? Is there nothing we can do to fight this?”
You shook your head, your voice barely a whisper. “I’ve tried everything. The pack’s decision is final. I have to go through with this.”
Klaus’s anger and heartbreak were palpable. “You should have told us sooner. We could have done something. We could have fought for you.”
“I didn’t know how to tell you guys,” you admitted, your voice breaking with the weight of your regret. “I was afraid of how you’d react. And now, I’m losing you both.”
Elijah and Klaus exchanged a heavy glance, the weight of their shared loss settling between them. Klaus looked back at you, his eyes filled with a mix of love and resignation. “So, this is it? We’re really done?”
You nodded, your heart aching with the finality of your words. “I’m sorry. I truly am. But I have to go. I hope you guys understand.”
With a heavy heart, Klaus and Elijah stood, their faces reflecting the profound sadness of the moment. They turned away, unable to bear the pain of seeing your tears, and walked towards the door. Each step they took felt like a part of their hearts breaking, the love they had shared now a distant, painful memory.
You watched them go, your own heart shattered into pieces. The echoes of their footsteps faded into the night, leaving you alone with the weight of a decision you never wanted to make and the loss of a love you could never truly let go of.
As the door closed behind them, you sank into a nearby armchair, your emotions spilling over in quiet sobs. The weight of your choice pressed down on you like a physical force. You barely noticed when Hayley entered the room, drawn by the sound of your anguish.
Hayley rushed to you, her own heart breaking at the sight of your tears. She wrapped her arms around you, pulling you close in a tight embrace. “Oh, Y/N,” Hayley whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “I’m so sorry. I wish there was something I could do.”
You clung to Hayley, the support from your sister a small comfort amidst the overwhelming grief. Your voice was muffled against Hayley’s shoulder as you spoke, your words heavy with sorrow. “I’ve lost them, Hayley. I’ve lost the men that I only loved.”
Hayley tightened your hold, her own tears streaming down her face. “You didn’t want this. You didn’t have a choice.”
“I know,” you said, your voice breaking. “But knowing that doesn’t make it any easier. I didn’t just break their hearts today. I broke mine too. I’ve broken three hearts.”
Hayley pulled back slightly, her gaze searching your tear-streaked face. “They’re hurting, but you’re hurting too. You loved them, and they loved you. This isn’t just about what’s happened; it’s about what could have been.”
“I keep thinking about the moments we shared,” you said, your voice trembling. “The laughter, the tenderness, the promises we made. And now, it’s all gone. I had to choose between them and my duty, and I feel like I’ve lost a part of myself in the process.”
Hayley wiped at her own tears, her heart aching for you. “You did what you had to do. You were caught between a rock and a hard place. They’ll understand, eventually. But right now, it’s okay to grieve. It’s okay to feel like you’ve lost everything.”
You nodded, your sobs becoming quieter as you leaned into your sister’s embrace. “I wish I could turn back time. I wish I could find a way to make things right, but I know that’s impossible.”
“I know,” Hayley said softly, her voice filled with empathy. “But you’re not alone. I’m here for you, and we’ll get through this together. It’s going to take time, but you’ll find a way to heal.”
As the two sisters sat together in the dimly lit room, the enormity of your loss seemed almost palpable.the love you had shared with Klaus and Elijah was now a bittersweet memory, and the future seemed uncertain. Yet, amidst the sadness, there was a small flicker of hope in the support of family, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there could be solace in the connections that remained.
The day of the engagement party arrived, casting a bittersweet aura over the event. The venue was adorned with elegant decorations, a mix of white and gold, creating a festive atmosphere that belied the underlying tension. The guests, including many pack members and important figures, mingled and chatted, their conversations a backdrop to the day’s main event.
You arrived with a forced smile, your heart heavy as you tried to appear composed. Jackson Kenner, ever the picture of confidence, stood by your side, ready to take the next step in the arranged union. As Jackson and you moved through the crowd, you couldn’t shake the feeling of being an actor in a play you never wanted to be part of.
The moment came when Jackson, with a reassuring hand on your  back, gathered everyone’s attention. The room fell silent, and all eyes turned toward the couple. Jackson’s gaze was steady as he began to speak, his voice carrying over the hush of the crowd.
“Thank you all for coming to celebrate this special occasion,” Jackson began, his tone warm and inclusive. “Today, I have the honor of asking Y/n to be my wife, officially.”
You forced a smile as you looked at Jackson, but your thoughts were far from the joy of the moment. You could feel the weight of the promise you had made, and the memory of Klaus and Elijah’s hurt expressions from the night before seemed to hover around you.
Jackson took a deep breath and reached into his pocket, pulling out a stunning engagement ring. The jewel sparkled under the soft lighting, catching the eyes of everyone in the room. He turned to you, his expression earnest.
“Y/n,” he said, his voice gentle yet filled with hope, “will you marry me?”
As he extended the ring toward you, your heart ached with the knowledge of what this moment truly meant. You hesitated for a brief second, your eyes meeting Jackson’s. Despite the sadness that lingered in your heart, you took a deep breath and nodded.
“Yes,” you said, your voice soft but resolute. “I will.”
The room erupted in applause and cheers as Jackson slipped the ring onto your finger. You tried to focus on the happiness of the guests, but the emptiness of the moment made it difficult to feel genuine joy. You managed a polite smile as Jackson hugged you, his arms warm and reassuring.
As the party continued, you found herself caught in a swirl of congratulations and small talk. The evening wore on, and while she made an effort to mingle and partake in the celebrations, your thoughts often drifted to the faces of Klaus and Elijah, the pain of their absence a constant undercurrent to the evening’s festivities.
In the midst of the celebration, the engagement ring on your finger was a constant, glittering reminder of the choices  you had been forced to make, and the heartbreak that had accompanied them. As you looked around at the smiling faces and the joy of the occasion, you couldn’t shake the feeling that the night, while full of celebration, was also steeped in a profound sense of loss.
You stood in front of the full-length mirror, your reflection revealing the intricate lace of your wedding gown, the weight of the world heavy on your shoulders. You barely recognized yourself in the mirror, dressed up like a bride for a man she didn’t love, not in the way you loved Klaus and Elijah. Your heart ached, and your stomach churned with each passing second. This wasn’t how your life was supposed to go.
A soft knock on the door made you jump. You turned and saw Hayley standing in the doorway, her expression somber. “You ready?” Hayley asked, though you both knew the answer.
You gave her a weak smile. “How do I look?”
Hayley sighed, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "I wish there was another way."
"I know," you whispered, your voice cracking slightly. "But this is what has to be done for the wolves. For our people."
"Y/n, you don’t have to marry Jackson just for them," Hayley said softly. "It shouldn’t be your burden to carry."
You turned back to the mirror, your eyes stinging as tears threatened to fall. "It’s not just about the wolves, Hayley. If I don’t do this... things will fall apart. Peace will crumble, and the war will begin again. I’m doing this for everyone."
Hayley stepped closer, placing a hand on your shoulder. "But what about you? What about what you want? What about Klaus and Elijah?"
Your heart squeezed painfully at their names. "They know why I’m doing this. They understand." But your voice wavered, and deep down, you knew that wasn’t entirely true.
The ceremony was simple, but the weight of its significance was suffocating. Klaus and Elijah stood at the back, watching silently as you walked down the aisle. You looked beautiful, radiant, even, but the sadness in your eyes was unmistakable. You caught Klaus’s gaze for a fleeting moment, and his jaw clenched. He was trying to hide his emotions, but you knew him too well.
Elijah stood beside Klaus, his expression a mask of calm, but there was a storm brewing beneath the surface. He loved you too, and seeing you marry another man was like a dagger to his heart. But just like Klaus, he was forced to watch. Forced to let you go.
As you reached Jackson at the altar, you forced yourself to smile, to play the part you were supposed to.Jackson smiled back at you, blissfully unaware of the turmoil raging inside you. He took your hands, his voice warm as he whispered, “You look beautiful.”
You nodded slightly, unable to muster any words in response. Your eyes flickered back to where Klaus and Elijah stood, the pain in their eyes mirroring your own.
Later, after the ceremony, you slipped away from the celebration, needing a moment to breathe. You found yourself by the lake, the cool breeze ruffling the fabric of your dress. You hugged yourself, trying to hold yourself together as the tears finally began to fall.
"I knew I’d find you here."
You turned at the sound of Klaus’s voice, your heart skipping a beat. He stood a few feet away, his eyes locked on yours, the tension between them palpable.
“Klaus…”
“Don’t,” he said, his voice low and thick with emotion. “Don’t say my name like that. Like you’re sorry.”
“I am sorry,” you whispered, your voice breaking. “I didn’t want this. I didn’t want any of this.”
“And yet, here we are,” Klaus muttered, stepping closer. “You in a wedding dress, married to someone who isn’t us.”
You took a shaky breath. “You know why I did it. It’s to protect everyone—"
 “To protect them,” Klaus interrupted, his eyes flashing with anger and hurt. “But what about us? What about you?”
Elijah appeared then, his presence calming but no less heartbreaking. "Klaus, don’t." His voice was gentle but firm. "This isn’t what she wanted, but it’s what she had to do."
You  looked between them, your heart splitting in two. “I never wanted to hurt either of you. You know that.”
Elijah nodded slowly, but his eyes told a different story. “I know, but it doesn’t make it any easier.”
Klaus stepped forward, closing the distance between them. He reached out, brushing a tear from your cheek, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. “Tell me, Y/n,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “Was there even a moment when you thought about choosing us?”
Your breath hitched, your hands trembling as you reached up to cover his hand on your cheek. “Every moment, Klaus. Every moment, I thought about you both.”
Elijah’s voice was quiet as he spoke. “But you didn’t.”
You turned your gaze to Elijah, your heart breaking all over again. "I couldn’t. You know I couldn’t."
Klaus pulled away, his hand falling to his side. "It doesn’t matter anymore, does it? You’re married now. To him."
The pain in his voice was too much to bear, and you couldn’t hold back the sob that escaped your lips. You buried your face in your hands, your body shaking as the weight of your choice came crashing down on you.
Elijah moved to your side, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “We understand, Y/n. We do. But it doesn’t change how much this hurts.”
You looked up at him, your eyes filled with regret. "I’m so sorry, Elijah. I’m sorry for everything."
Klaus turned away, his voice hard as he spoke. “Sorry won’t change what’s happened. You’re his now.”
You swallowed hard, wiping your tears as you looked at both Klaus and Elijah, your heart shattering all over again. "I’ll always love you. Both of you. Nothing will ever change that."
But even as the words left your lips, you knew they weren’t enough. Nothing would ever be enough to fix the damage that had been done. And as you watched Klaus walk away, followed by Elijah’s lingering, heartbroken gaze, you realized just how much you had lost.

Can I request a one shot with the one and only Elijah? He and reader know each other for years but since she is human he never made a move. She overhears Klaus nagging Elijah about being smitten with her and she confronts him and he is obviously in denial, reader tells him to man up for once and he shows her how much men he is? With Consent of course. Would love reading something like this, you are my go to fix for my Elijah obsession

The world outside was unrecognizable. Snow blanketed the streets of New Orleans in a thick, pristine layer, muffling the usual lively sounds of the city. It was almost surreal, like waking up in a dream.
You rubbed your hands together for warmth as you stood at the window of the Mikaelson compound, marveling at the sight. The night before, a snowstorm had hit with an intensity no one had expected. It hadn't snowed in Louisiana since 2004. Now, with nearly ten inches of snow on the ground, you were effectively snowed in.
Not that you minded. The compound was warm and cozy, a fire crackling in pretty much every single room. Still, being cooped up had a way of making you restless, your thoughts wandering far too easily to things you shouldn’t dwell on—like your relationship with Elijah.
You had been friends with him for years, but something about the way he carried himself, the quiet strength he exuded, had always drawn you in, leaving you wanting more.
Lately, though, there had been a shift. His gaze lingered a little longer, his touches felt a little more intentional. You weren’t blind to it, but Elijah was a master of control. Whatever feelings he might have, he kept them locked away, hidden beneath his stoic demeanor.
It made you sad, the way he denied himself any sort of affection. He always pushed away those he loved the most, it was a bad habit he had yet to break.
With a sigh, you turned from the window and made your way upstairs. You had barely reached the top of the stairs when the sound of raised voices reached your ears.
You headed to the balcony, looking down into the courtyard where Hayley and Rebekah were wrangling Hope into a snow suit. A task that the two immortal creatures seemed to be struggling with, much to the little girl’s amusement.
"Can we go now?" Hope demanded, wiggling out of Rebekah's hold. "I want to make a snowman!"
"Soon," Hayley promised, pulling a large warm hat over her daughter's ears. "We have to finish bundling you up first."
"Let me," Elijah said, stepping in with his usual calm demeanor, crouching down in front of Hope.
The little girl huffed, but she stilled as Elijah gently adjusted her coat and scarf. "You must not rush, little one. Proper preparation will ensure you can enjoy the snow without discomfort," he said, his hands moving with care as he buttoned her coat and smoothed the scarf into place.
"Uncle ‘lijah, I can do it!" Hope protested, though there was no real frustration in her tone.
"I have no doubt," Elijah replied with a small smile, "but would it not be faster if I helped? The snow is waiting, after all."
Hope considered his words for a moment before nodding solemnly. "Okay, but only because I want to go faster."
"Of course," Elijah said, his voice soft with amusement. He worked quickly but carefully, ensuring everything was just right. Finally, he held up her mittens. "Now for the finishing touch."
"My hands are going to sweat," Hope muttered, wrinkling her nose as she reluctantly let him slip the mittens over her small hands.
"They’ll thank you once you’re outside," Elijah said, rising to his full height and brushing a stray curl from her face. "There. You’re ready."
Hope beamed up at him. "Thank you, Uncle ‘lijah!" she said, throwing her arms around his waist and hugging him tightly.
"You're welcome, little one," Elijah replied, returning the embrace, the tenderness on his face making your heart ache.
Kol burst into the courtyard then, an excited grin on his face. He was wrapped up in a giant scarf, his coat buttoned all the way up, and his cheeks were rosy.
"Come on, Hope, hurry!" He urged. "I just finished building the best snow fort. It's big enough for the both of us. I know you like to hide in snow forts and scare people, right?"
Hope's eyes lit up, and she released Elijah, running toward Kol and latching onto his hand. "I love snow forts! Let's go, Uncle Kol!"
"That's my girl!" Kol said, leading her toward the doors. "We're going to have a ball, aren't we, Hope?"
"Yes!" Hope said, bouncing along beside him.
The rest of the family trailed behind, Hayley and Rebekah already discussing plans for getting some hot chocolate later.
"Well, look at you, being the best uncle," Klaus said, clapping Elijah on the back with a smile on his face. Although there was a tiny hint of jealousy in his tone.
You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his antics, heading down the stairs to join them.
"She makes it easy," Elijah said, a fond smile playing at his lips as he watched his family depart.
His gaze drifted to you, his smile growing a little as his eyes met yours. You felt your cheeks flush and averted your eyes, trying not to be so obvious.
"Are you joining us?" He asked, his voice smooth and rich like the expensive whiskey he often favored.
Klaus was pulling on his large coat and scarf, his expression smug as he watched the two of you. A familiar mischievous glint entered his eye, and you braced yourself for whatever he was about to say.
Instead, he didn't say a word, his expression shifting to something close to a smirk as he looked at his older brother. His silence was worse, and the air felt thick with anticipation.
"I don't know, I'm not a big fan of the cold," you said, glancing toward the door where the others had left.
"Oh, c'mon, just for a little while," Klaus cajoled, wrapping a scarf around his neck. "Elijah will miss you if you aren't there."
The heat rose in your cheeks and you cleared your throat, unable to come up with a response.
Elijah shot him a look, grabbing his own outerwear, a long, black, impeccably tailored wool coat and matching scarf. He looked like he belonged on a fashion runway, not traipsing through the snow.
"If the lady does not wish to join, she doesn't have to," he said, his voice level.
"It would be a shame to miss this rare beauty, wouldn't it?" Klaus asked, gesturing to the world outside.
"It's a blizzard," you deadpanned.
"In Louisiana." Klaus grinned. "It's the sort of thing you'll look back on and remember for centuries. And, besides, Hope would love to see you. Don't you want to make a snow angel with her?"
"Fine. But if I get hypothermia, I'm coming for you." You glared at him.
Klaus grinned, clearly pleased with himself, and sauntered out the door.
You pulled on your jacket and scarf, not quite as fashionable as Elijah's, and popped a beanie over your hair. You glanced at him, taking in his refined, handsome appearance.
"Thanks for waiting for me," you said softly, slipping your feet into your boots and tugging on your gloves.
"I don't mind," Elijah said. He gestured toward the door. "Shall we?"
You nodded and led the way out of the compound. As soon as the cold air hit you, you shivered, a gust of wind biting through your layers.
"Are you alright?" Elijah asked, his brows furrowing.
"I'm fine," you insisted, even as another shiver coursed through your body. "Let's just get this over with."
"As you wish." He smiled.
You walked beside him, following the path the others had taken. It was quiet, the world blanketed in white. Tiny snowflakes fluttered down from the sky, dancing lazily around you. The street was empty, the storm keeping most people indoors.
You could hear the faint sounds of laughter and joyful conversation, and the image of Hope's excited smile came to mind. She was a delight, a true ray of sunshine in an often bleak world.
You glanced up at Elijah, admiring his profile. There was a softness in his features that was so rare. He looked peaceful. Little snowflakes sticking to his eyelashes, his cheeks pink from the cold.
You turned your gaze forward, feeling a familiar flutter in your chest. You had always found him attractive, but lately, it was becoming impossible to ignore.
Kol had indeed built an impressive fort, so impressive in fact, that there must have been a bit of magic involved. The snow sparkled unnaturally, as if dusted with tiny crystals, and the walls were impossibly smooth, their edges glowing faintly in the sunlight.
Hope was hiding inside, giggling madly as Rebekah crouched near the entrance, watching her with a wide smile on her face. Hayley and Klaus were sitting on the bench, chatting idly, while Kol was working on sculpting a large snowball.
Hope jumped out from behind the wall, throwing a snowball at Kol's back.
"Hope!" Kol cried, turning around as he grasped at his back dramatically.
The little girl laughed gleefully and disappeared behind the wall once again.
You smiled, watching the exchange. The sight was so normal, almost mundane. It was strange, seeing the Mikaelsons acting so human.
Hayley joined in on the snowball fight, scooping up a handful of snow and hurling it at Kol. Her aim was true, and it hit him square in the chest.
"Oof," Kol groaned, clutching his chest. "I've been shot."
He toppled over into the snow, laying perfectly still.
Hope squealed, jumping up and running over to him. "Uncle Kol!"
Rebekah snorted, crossing her arms. "You've died. Again. Typical."
Kol cracked open one eye and smirked, grabbing Hope's legs and dragging her down with him.
"Nooo!" She shrieked, giggling wildly as she struggled to get away.
Elijah watched them, a fond smile playing at his lips. It was such a small thing, but it sent warmth rushing through you.
"It's good to see them having fun," he said, his voice quiet.
"Yeah," you agreed, your eyes still on him. "Are you having fun?"
He paused, considering the question. Then he knelt down, scooping up a handful of snow and shaping it. "I suppose so," he said, smiling up at you.
Your heart stuttered at the sight. His gaze was soft, affectionate, and you felt like you could get lost in those dark, soulful eyes.
Then he threw the snowball at you, the icy projectile hitting you square in the face.
The contact was so surprising, so unexpected, that it took a moment to process what had happened. When it finally sank in, you could only stare at him.
Elijah's eyes widened, his face the picture of innocence. "I'm sorry, did I hit you?"
You couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled up, the sound light and carefree. "Oh, you're going to pay for that, Mikaelson," you warned, crouching down and gathering snow into your hands.
Elijah's smile grew wider, a playful challenge in his eyes. "I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about, my dear," he said, scooping up more snow.
You tossed your own snowball at him, aiming for his face.
He ducked, faster than humanly possible and the snowball sailed harmlessly past him.
"Hey! That's cheating!" You cried, gathering more snow.
"There are no rules in snowball fights, darling," he said, a hint of mischief in his voice.
Klaus had joined the fray now, launching a barrage of snowballs at Elijah, while Hayley, Hope and Rebekah were targeting Kol.
You ducked and dodged, trying to avoid the flying snow, while attempting to take out Elijah.
His movements were quick, calculated, and it seemed like no matter how fast you moved, he was always one step ahead.
He was standing a few feet away, a playful grin on his face. It was the first time you'd ever seen him act so carefree, and it was infectious.
"C'mon, darling," he teased, "you'll have to do better than that."
You let out a huff, gathering more snow and shaping it into a tight ball. This time, you managed to hit him, the snow exploding against his shoulder.
"Impressive," he said, his tone light and teasing.
You couldn't stop the smile from forming on your lips, the thrill of the moment, the pure, unbridled joy in his eyes, filling you with an indescribable warmth.
Suddenly, a snowball hit you on the side of the head, sending ice crystals cascading down the front of your coat.
You yelped, swiping at the icy shards, and turned to see Kol grinning impishly. You grabbed a fistful of snow and hurled it at him, the missile landing with a satisfying thwack.
You joined in the fray, the sound of laughter and playful banter filling the air. You lost track of time, the snowy battle raging on.
Klaus wandered over to where Elijah was standing, a few feet from the others, watching the fight with a small smile on his face.
"This is nice," Klaus said, his eyes following Hope as she darted around.
"Yes, it is," Elijah agreed, his gaze fixed on you.
"She's quite a fighter, isn't she?" Klaus remarked, a knowing glint in his eyes.
"Indeed," Elijah murmured, his gaze never wavering.
Klaus watched him for a moment, then nudged him lightly. "I was talking about Hope. Who are you talking about?"
"Hm?" Elijah asked, finally tearing his gaze away.
Klaus smirked, leaning closer and dropping his voice to a low murmur. "Don't play coy with me, brother. We both know you're smitten."
Elijah's brow furrowed, his jaw clenching. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Oh, please. The way you look at her, it's like she hung the stars," Klaus said, a teasing note in his voice.
"It's nothing," Elijah said, his expression closing off. "She's a friend. Nothing more."
"That's a lie and you know it," Klaus scoffed.
"Even if it were true," Elijah continued, his tone measured and controlled. "She deserves more than I can give her," he said, a touch of sadness creeping into his voice.
"Ohhh, so you are going with the martyr excuse this time? I should have guessed," Klaus said, a hint of exasperation in his voice.
Elijah looked like he wanted to say more, but you chose that moment to join them.
"Hey," you greeted, a flush on your cheeks. Your breath puffed out in little clouds, and a few strands of hair had escaped from your beanie, curling around your face. All Elijah wanted to do was brush them away, run his fingers along your jaw, feel the warmth of your skin.
Instead, he smiled politely, keeping his hands in his pockets. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Yeah," you said, a little breathless. "This is so much fun. I can't remember the last time I played in the snow."
"Nor can I," Elijah admitted. He paused, seeming to think for a moment. "It is rather invigorating."
"It's freezing," you corrected, laughing softly.
"I'm sure Elijah will be more than happy to warm you up," Klaus teased, shooting his older brother a knowing look.
You felt your cheeks heat up at the suggestion, and you turned away, pretending to admire the scenery.
"Niklaus," Elijah hissed, glaring at him. "It's impolite to suggest such things."
Klaus shrugged, not the least bit apologetic. "But it's true right? Or have I read the situation incorrectly?"
You opened your mouth, then closed it, unable to come up with a response. You were afraid of what Elijah might say, or worse, not say.
"We are just friends," Elijah said, his jaw set.
You tried not to let his words sting, but you couldn't help the pang of disappointment that twisted in your gut.
"Ah, yes, friends," Klaus drawled, rolling his eyes. "I think the rest of us are going to the cafe down the street to get some hot chocolate, are you two joining?"
"I'm going to head back to the compound," you said quickly, before Elijah could speak.
Klaus raised a brow, looking at Elijah with a smirk.
"I'll accompany you," Elijah said, his voice smooth.
"No," you insisted, a little too sharply. You winced and cleared your throat, forcing a smile. "I mean, no, that's okay. I don't want to keep you from having fun with the others. Besides, it's just a short walk. I'll be fine."
"Very well," Elijah conceded, his expression neutral.
Klaus shook his head, muttering something under his breath as he walked away.
The silence that settled between you was heavy, the air thick with unspoken words.
You wanted to ask him what he meant, if there was a chance, or if he was just playing nice. But the fear of rejection kept the words trapped in your throat. You quickly turned away, afraid he would see the emotion written plainly on your face.
"I'm going to head out," you said, taking a step toward the street. "Have fun, okay?"
Elijah watched you leave, a hint of sadness in his eyes. He should have said something, should have explained. Instead, he had let you go, his silence a cowardly choice.

When you reached the compound, you shed your outer layers and flopped onto the sofa in front of the fireplace in the library. A wave of longing crashed over you, a deep ache that couldn't be filled. The feeling was transforming into frustration and anger, a familiar bitterness creeping in.
The sound of the front door opening pulled you from your thoughts, and you sat up, seeing Elijah enter the room.
"I thought you were going to get hot chocolate," you said, forcing a small smile.
"I changed my mind," he replied, his voice soft.
You nodded, fidgeting with the hem of your sweater. The silence was almost deafening, the tension palpable.
"So, uh, I was thinking about heading home soon," you said, needing to fill the void. "Once the snow lets up."
"Of course," Elijah agreed, though he sounded a bit hesitant.
You swallowed thickly, glancing at him. "Thanks for having me," you added, your voice a bit hoarse.
"Anytime," he said, and there was a sincerity in his voice that made your heart flutter.
You gave him a small smile, the sadness creeping back in. This feeling of limbo was killing you, the not knowing.
"So, is there, uh, is there someone else?" You asked, unable to hold back any longer. Your voice wavered, but you forced yourself to meet his eyes across the room. “Someone you're seeing?"
"No," Elijah replied, shaking his head.
"Oh, okay," you said, shifting uncomfortably.
"Why do you ask?" He questioned, his tone carefully neutral.
You could have played it off, made a joke, deflected. But the weight of his gaze, the way he was looking at you, it was as if he could see into your very soul.
"You know why," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Do I?" He asked, his brow furrowed.
"Don't," you snapped, frustrated with his cryptic behavior. “Just be honest with me, stop with the bullshit.”
Elijah’s features shifted, his carefully composed mask slipping for just a moment. A shadow passed over his face as he stepped closer, his movements slow and deliberate, as though fighting an invisible force.
"It's not that simple," he said, his voice quiet as he approached you.
"Yes, it is," you countered.
"No," he said firmly. "You deserve someone who can give you what you want, someone who isn't... damaged. Someone who won't break your heart."
"I think that's for me to decide," you said, meeting his gaze.
"And what do you think I can give you?" He asked, his expression unreadable.
"I'm not asking you for anything, this isn't a transaction," you said, the frustration creeping back in. "All I want is to know if you feel the same,"
His dark eyes searched yours, and for a moment, you thought you saw a glimpse of hope. Then, the shutters fell, and his expression hardened.
"It doesn't matter," he said, turning away.
"No. Elijah. It does matter," you insisted, standing up and following him.
He didn't say a word, just kept walking towards the door.
"Why are you doing this?" You asked, reaching out and touching his arm.
He flinched, but didn't pull away, and he slowly turned back to face you.
"Why are you trying to push me away?" You pressed, searching his face.
Elijah stared at you, his expression unreadable, but there was a flicker of something in his dark eyes. Anger, frustration, or perhaps longing. You couldn’t tell, but his inability to make a decision had your blood boiling.
"Just… stop," you said, letting go of his arm, the words sharper now as the emotions clawed their way up your throat.
"Stop what?" he asked, his voice clipped, as if daring you to elaborate.
"Stop being so self-sacrificing. Stop treating me like I’m made of glass. Just... man up and take what you want," you snapped, your voice trembling with anger and desperation.
Elijah’s jaw tightened, his hands curling into fists at his sides. He took a step closer, and you could feel the tension radiating off him like a storm about to break.
"You think this is easy for me?" he said, his voice low and sharp, cutting through the silence like a blade. "You think I enjoy pretending I don’t feel something for you?"
"Then why do it?" you shot back, standing your ground.
"Because I have to!" he barked, his composure cracking as he raised his voice. The sudden intensity made you flinch, you had never heard him yell before, but you refused to back down.
"Why?" you demanded, your voice just as loud now. "Why are you so determined to ruin this before it even starts?"
"You don’t understand," he said, his tone quieter but no less fierce. He turned his back to you, his hands gripping the edge of the mantel above the fireplace. "You deserve someone better than me. Someone who can give you a family, children, a happy life. Someone who doesn’t bring danger and destruction to everything they touch."
"Stop deciding what I deserve!" you shouted, your voice echoing in the room.
He turned on you then, his dark eyes blazing with anger. "And what happens when you wake up one day and realize you’ve wasted your life on a monster? What happens when you resent me for stealing the life you could have had?"
You took a step closer, your own anger boiling over. "You don’t get to make that choice for me! I know what I want, Elijah, and it’s you. If I didn’t want this, I wouldn’t be standing here, begging you to let me in!"
Elijah’s breath hitched, and for a moment, he looked almost stunned. But then his expression hardened again, his frustration returning.
"I am trying to protect you!" he shouted back, his voice shaking the room.
"From what?" you screamed, stepping right into his space.
"From me," he hissed, his voice raw and broken.
The confession hung in the air, thick and heavy. For a moment, neither of you said anything, your breaths coming fast and shallow as you stared at each other.
"You’re such a coward," you said finally, your voice trembling with both anger and sadness.
His eyes narrowed, his anger sparking again. "You think I’m a coward? You think I don’t want you?" he growled, stepping so close his shadow seemed to swallow you.
You stared up at him, defiant, despite the fear and excitement rushing through you.
"Do you have any idea what it’s like to want something so badly and know you can never have it?" he asked, his voice strained, as though the words were torn from him against his will.
"Yes. I'm looking at him," you retorted, your heart pounding.
Whatever control he'd been clinging to shattered, his walls crumbling as he took hold of your arm, pulling you flush against him.
You gasped at the contact, feeling his body pressing into yours, the heat of his breath as it ghosted over your skin, the smell of leather and cologne mingled with something wild, primal.
Without saying a word he lifted you up, pinning you to the nearest wall, his lips capturing yours in a bruising kiss that stole your breath away.
You gripped the fabric of his suit, kissing him back just as fiercely, letting your hands explore along his chest, his shoulders. You were practically vibrating with want, your body humming with pent-up desire as you felt his arousal pressing against your thigh.
"You drive me insane," he murmured, breaking the kiss just long enough to nip at the tender spot just below your ear, causing you to moan in anticipation.
You were like a moth to a flame, and he was the hottest fire you'd ever known, searing into your soul, consuming you from the inside out. And the way he touched you, it was as though he were afraid he'd never be able to hold you like this again.
He carried you upstairs to his bedroom in a blur of wind and sound, moving so fast you could barely comprehend it. In that moment, you were reminded that he was more than just a man. He was an ancient creature of immense power, and he was about to unleash every bit of that power on your body.
The moment your back hit the mattress he was on you, his hands tearing away your clothes and tossing them carelessly aside. You tugged at his clothes in return, desperate to feel his skin on yours, your breath hitching as he pressed open-mouthed kisses to your neck, his fangs grazing the sensitive skin.
It wasn't gentle or sweet, it was wild, passionate, full of all the words that went unspoken for far too long. You couldn't get enough, you wanted to lose yourself in this moment, in him. You didn't care about anything else.
The weight of him as he covered you with his body, the way his muscles rippled under your fingertips, the sounds he made when he lost control. You didn't expect this side of him, the almost feral desire he was unleashing.
His hands gripped your thighs, pushing them up until your knees were pressed against your chest, exposing you to him completely. His cock pressed against your slick entrance, teasing you, the sensation drawing out a breathy moan.
"Is this what you want?” he groaned, the head of his cock pressing just a fraction inside.
You groaned in frustration, writhing against him, trying to get him to sink deeper.
He chuckled darkly, holding your hips still. "You need to learn to be patient, sweetheart," he drawled, his tone dark and seductive.
You whined, but you knew better than to push him, and you could see the gleam in his eyes. You felt a sharp smack to your thigh, causing you to yelp in surprise, the stinging pain giving way to a dull warmth that only intensified your need.
"Now be a good girl and let me fuck you the way I've always wanted to," he murmured, his voice husky with desire.
The way his accent wrapped around each syllable had a shudder rolling through your body. He gripped your thighs tighter, the blunt head of his cock pressing into you slowly. Your hands gripped his shoulders, and you cried out as he sank to the hilt.
"So pretty when you sing for me," he teased, nipping at your throat.
You couldn't even form a response, your brain short-circuiting as he pulled almost all the way out, the thick head of his cock catching on your entrance. Then, in one swift stroke, he eased back inside you.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him into a messy, desperate kiss as he began to move inside you, each thrust hitting you in all the right places. His strokes were firm and deep, sending waves of pleasure washing over you, each thrust making you gasp for air.
It was everything you had hoped for, everything you'd been craving, and so much more. Your nails dug into the firm muscles of his chest, leaving half-moon marks on his pale skin.
"Do you know all the things I want to do to you?" he whispered against the shell of your ear.
Your breath caught in your throat as his words sent a rush of heat through your core. You whimpered in response, unable to form words.
He let out a soft laugh, his hips moving at a maddening pace, as he teased, "All the places I've thought about having you," he whispered.
You could feel your release coiling deep within you, but he wouldn't let you come, keeping you on the edge. Your mind was clouded with need, and his words only added fuel to the fire.
"Like right here in my bed," he continued, "Or taking you against the window for anyone who might be watching. Or bent over the balcony railing, with my fingers buried inside your wet little pussy while your scream fills the night sky."
The thought alone had you clenching around him, the fantasy sending your body into a spiral of need and pleasure.
"Would you like that? Being my plaything?" he purred.
You let out a needy whine, your nails clawing down his back, drawing blood. You needed him to make good on his promises.
"I think you would," he teased, nipping at your neck, drawing more moans from you.
You bucked your hips, your legs wrapped around him as you tried to take control.
"So eager," he groaned as he released his hold on your thighs, gripping the headboard for leverage, and the new position allowed him to hit even deeper, sending shockwaves of pleasure through your body.
"You want it?" He taunted, his voice ragged as his strokes became more forceful.
You moaned incoherently, feeling yourself start to lose control, and Elijah laughed, his voice deep and husky as he said, "Then take it," as if challenging you to finally fall off the edge.
Your breath hitched, a strangled gasp escaping you as your release finally crested over, and you came harder than you'd ever imagined. Your mind went completely blank, your vision blurred as the wave of euphoria crashed over you.
You were only vaguely aware of the sensation of his cock pulsing inside you, your name falling from his lips as he reached his own peak, spilling himself deep within you.
Your breathing was labored and shallow, your body humming with aftershocks as he began to kiss his way along your neck and down your collarbone, the feel of his lips ghosting over your skin drawing out soft whimpers.
His kisses grew more tender, the touch almost reverent as he murmured against your skin, "So perfect for me," his voice barely above a whisper, the words almost lost to the room.
He kept moving down your body, his lips brushing over every inch of bare skin as if memorizing it. Your eyes fluttered shut, your hands tangling in his hair as you allowed yourself to just enjoy the sensation of him exploring you, worshipping you, like you were his religion, his salvation.
"'lijah," you said breathlessly, feeling him spread your thighs.
He didn't say a word as he lowered his head, his tongue finding your clit and lapping at you, drawing a loud cry from you as he cleaned up the mess he had made. You didn't have it in you to beg him to stop, his ministrations driving you to near-insanity, his tongue dragging through your slit.
He hummed softly, enjoying the sounds you were making. The way you squirmed, softly protesting as you felt yourself falling deeper under his spell.
"More," you whined, tugging at his hair.
He let out a deep laugh, and the vibration had your back arching as your climax rolled through you again, and your release flooded his tongue.
You felt the bed dip beside you as Elijah shifted, and you cracked an eye open, your body feeling boneless as you tried to get your bearings.
"Holy fuck," you said, your voice barely audible.
He laughed softly, pressing a kiss to your temple, and you sighed contentedly. The air was heavy with lingering tension, the weight of unspoken words pressing down on you both. Yet, as you lay tangled together, the heat of his body grounding you, the world outside seemed to melt away. For now, there was only this. The sense of finally being together.
"I didn't think you would be such a talker in bed," you said, breaking the silence.
You felt his body shake as he laughed again, a low, throaty sound that made you weak. You shifted, cuddling closer, your head on his chest as you traced circles on his bare skin.
"What?" You asked, playfully nipping at his collarbone. "You can't just say all that to me and expect me not to comment on it,"
"I was just stating facts, nothing more," he said, the smirk audible in his tone.
"Mhm," you teased. "Well, I hope you know I expect you to follow through,"
Elijah laughed softly, his arms tightening around you. "Is that so?" He asked, his voice deep and seductive. "In that case, you should get some rest. I have a very long list of things I want to do to you."
Your face flushed, and you laughed, trying to play it off. But deep down, you were hoping that list was never-ending.
"Don't think for a second I'll be satisfied with one round, I can keep you up for days if you let me," he teased, nipping your neck playfully.
The thought of him keeping you locked up in his bedroom for days, indulging your every fantasy and need, made you squirm in anticipation.
You sat up slightly, pushing on his chest so he was lying on his back, his arms still wrapped around you, pulling you along for the ride. You straddled him, kissing him slowly, savoring the feel of his lips on yours.
"We'll see who keeps who up," you teased, rolling your hips over his already growing cock.
He hummed in approval, his hands gripping your ass as you continued to move, slowly grinding against him. His breath hitched, his eyes fluttering closed as you picked up the pace.
The sound of the front door opening downstairs pulled your attention away, and you heard the voices of the rest of the family downstairs.
You felt your cheeks heat up and Elijah smirked, gripping your thighs as he sat up, pulling you closer and wrapping your legs around him. He kissed along your neck, whispering softly.
"We should probably join them before they get suspicious," he murmured.
You hummed in agreement, not really wanting to move but knowing he was right. You let him lift you up and set you down on the edge of the bed.
"We have a lot to talk about," you said, grabbing your clothes from the floor and beginning to get dressed.
"We do," Elijah agreed, watching you. "I can't promise this will be easy," he warned, "but I want to try, if you're willing."
You turned to face him, taking a step closer and helping him button up his shirt. You leaned in, kissing him softly.
"I want that more than anything," you said, resting your forehead against his, feeling like you could finally breathe again.
He smiled, the look of pure happiness on his face warming your heart. He kissed you once more, slow and tender, and you knew in that moment that nothing would ever feel as good as being loved by him.

By the time you both made it downstairs, the rest of the family had settled in the parlor, hot chocolate in hand. Hope was curled up beside Klaus, who was dramatically recounting his snowball victory to an unimpressed Hayley. "I was vastly outnumbered, of course," Klaus was saying, his tone full of mock gravitas. "But my superior tactics won the day."
"You were hit in the face three times," Hayley retorted, rolling her eyes as she sipped her drink. "By a seven-year-old."
"Details," Klaus muttered, waving a hand as if dismissing the thought. Beside him, Hope giggled, her cheeks still rosy from the cold.
Kol leaned lazily against the doorframe, cradling his mug and watching the exchange with a smirk. "Don’t worry, Nik. We’ll still tell our enemies that you have never been defeated," he quipped, earning a laugh from Rebekah, who was perched elegantly on the couch.
As you and Elijah entered the room, Rebekah's gaze immediately shifted to the two of you, her brow arching with curiosity. "Well, look who decided to join us," she said, a knowing edge in her voice. "Took you long enough. Don’t worry, we saved you some hot chocolate."
Elijah’s hand rested lightly on your lower back as he guided you toward the table, a move that did not go unnoticed by his siblings, who were all eyeing you with a mix of amusement and suspicion.
You glanced at Elijah, feeling your cheeks heat up. "We got… sidetracked," he said simply, the corners of his lips curling into a small smile.
Klaus snorted, but a deadly look from Elijah silenced the impending snarky remark. You helped yourself to a cup of hot chocolate, which tasted sinfully good, the heat and sweetness seeping through you as you settled on the couch next to Rebekah. Elijah sat beside you, his hand resting casually on your knee.
You snuggled close to him and felt him wrap his arms around you, pulling you in even closer as the family laughed and teased one another, enjoying this rare moment of peace and contentment. You smiled to yourself, letting yourself sink into the warmth and love of the moment, knowing that it wouldn't always be this easy but that you would fight for every minute of it.

You're Just Jealous of Me
pairing: the salvatore brothers x male reader tags: reader knows he's manipulative and a slut, you just don't care tbh, Elena has an aneurysm from not being the main character, the brothers know they're getting played, you're just that hot/beautiful/perfect for them to give you up, Elena bashing, no incest
"I can't believe you." Elena exclaimed, her eyes growing misty as you were getting ready to head out with Damon on a date. It hadn't even been a week since they broke up (something about her needing stability or some other bullshit) and you didn't care. All that mattered was getting through yet another 'poor me' moment without killing her and making it seem like an accident.
Seriously, what did your sister expect? That Damon was going to stay single for the rest of his days until she made a fucking choice between him and Stefan? Perhaps some of her betrayal stemmed from the fact that Stefan had also rejected her ass and had made it clear he didn't feel anything for her anymore. So now poor Elena had no one while you played with both brothers.
And it wasn't even 'playing' per se if they knew about the whole situation. You could fuck any of them, and they'll be fine with it—a thing you made clear to them when this whole thing started. You liked both brothers, but having to choose just one was unfair—they both had traits that attracted you, and if you couldn't have both, then you'll settle for nothing. Like eager children they agreed. The arrangement was abnormal to others, but for you it worked—you dated both brothers, they still hated each other (entertaining fights arising from their competitiveness on who you liked more, who was 'rocking' your world, etc.) Simple really.
"Save the tears for the pillow, sister. I’m really not in the mood—nor will I ever be—to entertain your pity parties." Pulling on one of Damon’s leather jackets, you smirked. You were a sight to behold—not only would Damon be eager to rip the clothes off you, but half the population would, too.
It was fun stirring the pot, watching Damon bare his teeth at anyone who thought they stood a chance. Jealousy was his kryptonite, and while a part of you hated targeting one of his insecurities, you always reassured him in bed of your devotion, loyalty, and love.
Yes, because at the end of the day, you loved both Salvatore brothers. This wasn't just some passing fantasy, nor was it some revenge scheme against your sister (though you did love tormenting her with the fact that you were dating the two). You were willing to throw away your human life to become a vampire—to spend eternity by their side.
"Why are you doing this to me? What have I ever done to cause this!" Now there was the Elena you knew all too well—the one who constantly placed themselves as the victim, putting blame unto you because who could ever hate a girl who lost her parents?
You let out a humorless laugh, crossing your arms over your chest. “You really want to go there?” you snap, not bothering to hide the derision in your voice. “Fine. For starters, you’ve always made Jeremy and me feel like shit, and the few times you did act like a decent human being were just so you didn’t look like a total bitch.”
“That’s not true!” she protests, anger tightening her features.
“It is, Elena,” you spit back. “When our parents died, you didn’t do a damn thing to help us cope. You were so wrapped up in your own grief, your own fucking melodrama, that you never once checked on Jeremy or me—unless, of course, it was to nag us about how we were coping. When Jeremy started doing drugs, you freaked the fuck out. Not because you cared, but because you were afraid of how it might make you look. God forbid anyone sees that the 'perfect' Elena Gilbert can’t keep her family together or help her brother kick his drug habit.”
She flinches, but you weren't done. Oh, no. You were just beginning to go down the list of why you hated her ass. "Then, when I began to hook up with Damon, you acted like I was the cause of our parents death—no, that's on you because Elena couldn't help herself and got drunk, needing a ride home at midnight. Sleeping with Damon was like I'd personally betray you."
Her cheeks flush crimson. “Well, you did! You—”
“I did what, Elena?” You take a step forward, towering over her. “I moved on? Found something that might actually make me happy? Meanwhile, you’ve been stringing both Damon and Stefan along for God knows how long. You made your choice—you dumped Damon, tried getting back with Stefan, when he told you to fuck off, you tried going back to Damon and he said the same thing. So now you’re standing here, arms crossed, lip trembling, trying to put the blame on me because you lost your backup plan.”
Her lips press into a thin line, eyes brimming with tears. But you’ve seen this act before—she’ll blink prettily, glance away like a wounded animal, and wait for you to console her. Only this time, you won't.
“You are an asshole,” she hisses, eyes narrowed into slits. “He was mine first.”
That makes you laugh, a harsh sound echoing off the hallway walls. “Right...possessive much? People aren’t property, Elena. He’s not a damn handbag you lend out when it suits you. If Damon wants to be with me, that’s his call. And if I want to keep him, that’s mine.”
She trembles, either from anger or heartbreak—you can’t tell, and frankly, you don’t care. “Why would you do this?” she asks again, her voice cracking. “What have I ever done—”
You rolled your eyes so hard you got a slight headache. "Did you even listen to me? I have every reason to hate you, so does Jeremy and the rest of Mystic Falls. Those who continue to stand by you are either stupid or hope they'll get some attention from your desperate ass. I'm done. I’m done letting you guilt-trip me. I’m done tiptoeing around your precious feelings. I’m fucking over it, Elena.”
Just then, Damon appears in the doorway, that trademark smirk on his face. “Ready?” he asks, taking in the tension between you two. His gaze flicks to the tears glistening in her eyes before returning to you. “I’m guessing we’re skipping the family therapy session?”
“Therapy? More like the mandatory guilt trip, which I’ve politely declined.”
Elena’s voice wavers, “Damon, how can you just—”
He cuts her off with a raised hand, posture casual but his eyes dangerously dark. “Stop, Elena. What we had is over. You made that choice before, remember? I’m done letting you waltz in and out of my life whenever it’s convenient for you.” You can practically feel the hatred radiating off her in waves. She’s not used to being shut down, especially not by Damon, the semi-reformed bad boy who once hung on her every word. It must sting. Oh, well. Her loss.
“As much as I loved talking to you, sister, I do believe we're running late. Don't wait up and please, if you're going to continue crying, leave my room. Keep wallowing if you want. Hell, cry yourself a fucking river. Just don’t stain my carpet.” Without another glance at Elena, you brush past Damon, and he steps aside for you to lead. He follows, closing the door behind you both, leaving your sister alone in her silence.
You descend the porch steps and greet the night air with a sigh of relief, reveling in the silence that isn’t tainted by Elena’s incessant whining. Damon slips an arm around your shoulders, guiding you toward his car parked beneath a streetlamp. His touch is warm, confident—like he’s proud of the chaos you’ve left behind.
“She’ll get over it,” he says, glancing at you with one of those trademark smirks that used to make Elena weak at the knees. Now, it just fuels your own sense of dark satisfaction.
“She’d better,” you mutter. “I’m not putting up with her drama anymore. If she wants to play the victim, she can do it alone. I’ve got better things to do.”
Damon’s grin widens. “That’s the spirit. So, where are we headed, anyway? We never actually nailed down the specifics.”
You shrug, placing an arm around his waist and snuggling closer to his side. “Anywhere but here. Got a craving for something stiff—drink or otherwise.” The innuendo doesn’t slip past him. His eyes flash with interest, and you can’t deny that thrill you get from watching Damon Salvatore light up over you instead of your sister.
“Sounds like the Grill for starters,” he suggests with a casual tilt of his head. “They might have a halfway decent bourbon I can drown myself in. As for the ‘otherwise,’ well…” He lets the sentence hang, the possibility of later events sparking arousal for the both of you.
You’re about to respond when you spot Stefan leaning against Damon's Camaro. Typical. Even without super-hearing, you know he’s probably caught every word you exchanged with Elena. Damned vampires. "What are you doing here?" Damon was the first who spoke, hand tightening over your body. As if he was a child preventing his favorite toy to be taken away from him.
"Nothing, really. I was just walking around the neighborhood and saw your car parked. But now that I see you're here with my boyfriend, I guess I have time to join you two at the grill."
"Our boyfriend."
You simply laugh at Stefan’s innocent tone, shaking your head at the absurdity of it all. Just a few minutes ago, you were telling off Elena and storming out of the house. Now you’re pinned between two vampires—both of whom are technically yours, and you are theirs. Welcome to the wonderful, fucked-up world of Mystic Falls.
“‘Our’ boyfriend,” you echo, looking from Stefan to Damon. “Are you two seriously going to argue semantics right now? Pick a damn fight over who saw me first?” A scoff escapes you as you shrug off Damon’s possessive grip just enough to stand on your own. You’re not some chew toy they get to tug-of-war over.
Stefan cocks a brow, his expression cool but laced with a hint of smugness. “I’m not here to fight,” he says, his gaze flicking to Damon. “Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t excluded. Last time I checked, this was a joint arrangement.”
Damon’s jaw clenches. Clearly, he remembers crashing your date with Stefan last week—and how you’d had to smooth over the tension in ways that involved very little clothing and a lot of apologizing on his part. “We’re not excluding you, Saint Stefan. But we do have plans that don’t involve your pensive brooding.”
Stefan straightens, crossing his arms over his chest. “Oh, so your plan is to get drunk at the Grill and then…whatever else…” He waves a hand dismissively, “doesn’t appeal to me?” He tilts his head in mock curiosity. “You sure about that?”
You snort. “Children, please. If you both really wanted to rip each other’s heads off, you’d have done it ages ago. Let’s just go. All this talk is making my head hurt.”
Damon lets out a dramatic sigh, rolling his eyes. “Fine. But if Stefan starts preaching about morality or—God forbid—Elena, I’m leaving him to pay the tab.”
Stefan’s smirk grows. “I’d pick a better conversation starter than Elena, trust me.”
You give an unimpressed half-smile. “Don’t even mention her name. As far as I’m concerned, she doesn’t exist unless she’s blocking my path to a stiff drink.”
That shuts both of them up. They exchange a quick glance—some silent vampire communication or whatever—then Damon jerks his head toward the passenger door. “Shotgun’s yours,” he says to you, ever the gentleman when it comes to seating. To Stefan, he adds begrudgingly, “Guess you can squeeze into the back...or the trunk.”
Stefan’s lip twitches like he’s fighting off a retort, but he says nothing. Instead, he silently moves to the rear door. You can’t help but grin. It’s absurd that they both share you yet still bicker like five-year-olds over the smallest shit. But hey, maybe that’s part of the charm.
Once inside Damon’s Camaro, you sink into the leather seat, adjusting your legs as you feel Stefan’s presence behind you. The tension is thick—crackling with desire, frustration, and that constant competition. You kind of love it. Damon revs the engine, and the car peels away from the curb.
“Any chance we can make this a quick pit stop at the Grill?” you say, your gaze shifting between them. “I need something to eat, maybe a drink or two, but I’m not really in the mood to fraternize with the entire damn town.”
Damon flicks you a sidelong glance. “Someone’s impatient. Looking to skip straight to dessert, sweetheart?”
A grin tugs at your lips. “I’d just rather not get cornered by whichever idiot wants the latest gossip on Elena’s meltdown.”
Stefan leans forward, resting his forearms on the front seats. “We can be in and out in under thirty minutes. Grab some wings, maybe a bourbon—or three—and leave.” He lowers his voice suggestively. “After that, I wouldn’t mind some privacy.”
Damon makes a sound of reluctant agreement. “Deal. But don’t whine when you realize your tolerance is way lower than mine, Brother.”
Stefan just smirks. “Don’t worry about me, Damon. Worry about yourself.”
The quick banter settles into a charged silence as the lights of Mystic Falls blur by. The neon sign of the Grill soon comes into view, and Damon maneuvers into a parking spot with practiced ease.
“Let’s get this over with,” you mutter, pushing the car door open. “I’m not about to waste my entire night entertaining half-drunk townspeople.”
Stepping onto the sidewalk, you can already see a few familiar faces through the window—Caroline, Matt, maybe Tyler. You can’t be bothered to care. The only drama you want tonight is the kind that ends in moans, not tears. And if Elena hasn’t slithered over here yet, you might just get your way.
Damon slides an arm around your waist possessively again, and Stefan eyes the gesture with an annoyance that’s as old as time. You sigh inwardly. No matter how many times you remind them you belong to both, they still can’t help but try to stake their separate claims. Vampire pride, maybe.
As you head inside, the ambient chatter and smell of bar food envelop you. A few heads turn—this is Mystic Falls, after all, and you’re making a very public entrance with both Salvatores. Let them stare. Let them talk.
“Your usual table?” Damon asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Yes,” you say. “Let’s just grab a seat and order. I’m fucking starving.”
The three of you slip into a booth. Damon slides in beside you, Stefan on the opposite side. A cute server looks mildly flustered as she hands out menus. You can see her eyes flick between Damon and Stefan, likely recalling the messy history each has with Elena. If she notices you’re with them in a more intimate sense, she doesn’t comment. Probably for the best.
“So,” Damon says, flipping open the menu, “bourbon and wings? Or do we want to start with something stronger?”
Stefan doesn’t bother with the menu. “I’ll have what you’re having,” he says with a forced casualness, drumming his fingers on the table. He’s clearly aware eyes are on you three. You can practically feel the tension rolling off him—like he’s waiting for the next potential disaster.
You roll your eyes at the both of them. “Bourbon’s fine. Then if someone pisses me off, we can move on to whiskey shots until I forget this entire night.”
Damon flashes that trademark smirk. “You, pissed off? Shocking.”
Stefan snorts, finally cracking a faint smile. “I’m sure we’ll manage to avoid any drama.”
A short, barking laugh leaves you. “In this town? With the three of us in the same damn booth? Doubtful.”
But you push aside the building dread. Because at least you’re here on your terms, Elena’s sob story is miles away, and you have both Salvatores at your side—bickering, sure, but ultimately yours. And that realization, twisted as it might be, makes a satisfied grin curl your lips. With a raised brow, you signal the server for your order. Let the vultures talk, let Elena sulk. You’ve got bigger, better things to do tonight—and two vampires to do them with.
“Bring on the bourbon,” you say, leaning back. “I’ve got all fucking night.”

Hey,I like your klaus mikaelson stories very much. Can you do one in which klaus and reader(yn) were in an arrange marriage and they cant stand each other?And they slowly fall in love and at the end he gets her pregnant? As in arranged marriage I mean,something like the marriage between hayley and Jackson. And if you can please add smut,fluff,jealousy and daddy kink. Thank you
Tumblr media
An Alliance or a Marriage?
Y/n could not believe that she was doing this.
Y/n was Jacksons sister, they always had each others backs and protected the other. So when Hayley came into Jacksons life, had him falling in love while she had feelings for Elijah Mikaelson, Y/n knew they couldn't get married. The only reason they were actually getting married was to unite the werewolf clans and to share Hayley's hybrid abilities as part of the marriage ritual.
But it would come at the cost of Jackson's happiness and most likely his life. Y/n was not stupid. She knew the price of loving a Mikaelson and it was one that Jackson could not afford and one that Y/n would not let him pay.
So without thinking, she made a fast decision.
"What if Ione of the wolves married Klaus? That way Hayley gets to be with Elijah and Klaus doesn't have to be so wary of Jackson around Hope or whatever his worry is? Wouldn't it just be easier?" She questioned and she felt everyone's gaze turn to her, most genuinely considering the possibility while Klaus looked both pissed and amused.
"I wouldn't trust anyone with Hope and under no circumstances will I be marrying anyone." He answered before storming out without another word. Jackson was second to protest then some of the other wolves.
They all went back to the bayou and tried to forget about the day.
What the wolves were unaware of were the arguments in the Mikaelson compound. Mostly between Rebekah and Niklaus. Rebekah was telling Klaus that for once, he should think of Elijah's happiness instead of only being selfish yet again. She continued to go on about how it was for Hope, how he should be the one sacrificing for Hope, not Hayley as she had already given up so much. The fight went on for hours but by morning it was settled. Niklaus would marry a wolf of his choosing.
Y/n was his choice. She was quiet but smart. Small but strong. Which meant she would be the best of his options. He knew part of her feared him, unlike some of the wolves there. She may challenge him a little but she wasn't stupid enough to truly go against him. This was proven when she silently accepted his decision.
Jackson was entirely against the entire thing. His sister was getting married to the original hybrid, moving into the beasts den and becoming apart of his twisted family. But he too kept quiet after Y/n told him it was what needed to be done. It was the only chance for everyone to walk out somewhat alive.
That was why she was walking down the aisle, Jackson unwillingly giving her away to Klaus Mikaelson before Mary began the ceremony. As the words "you may kiss your bride" left her lips, their fates were sealed. Klaus stepped forward and pressed a chaste kiss to his brides soft lips and watched as her and every other wolf in the rooms eyes lit up with golden flames, united as one.
The compound remained busy for the rest of the day, Klaus and Y/n stayed in opposite sides of the room at all times. Elijah urged his brother to at least be kind, Klaus however ignored any and all advice and instead drank the night away. Marriage was not in the cards for him. It was not what he wanted and he now knew that he was tied to this girl, a girl he harboured no feelings toward and a girl who only looked at him with distaste, for at least one lifetime. He knew the likelihood of them every liking each other was slim and he also knew that there were lots of rules in this werewolf marriage that he would have to follow in order to have the wolves protecting Hope. So he got off his face drunk, to the point where he couldn't get himself up the stairs at the end of the night.
It wasn't the best way for Y/n to find him on their first night 'together'. When she gave him that look of uncertainty and upset when she found him at the bottom of the stairs slurring his words, he just rolled his eyes and told her to piss off. But she didn't. Instead she fought against his sloppy attempts of pushing her away and instead managed to get him up the stairs and to bed. He fell asleep in seconds leaving Y/n distressed and alone on her wedding night. Instead of sleeping she went back downstairs and cleaned up the mess left over from the wedding.
Klaus had come down in the morning to find her scrubbing the corner of the room. He glanced around and noticed everywhere was spotless, his eyes travelled to the stairs and he was hit with the memory of leaning against her as she struggled to carry him up each one. Guilt bubbled in the pit of his stomach but he ignored it and made his way into the room and past her.
Y/n just stared at the nonexistent spot on the ground and tiredly rubbed the sponge against it.
Rebekah came downstairs after a little while and frowned when she saw Y/n, exhausted and leaning against the wall while her arm moved almost robotically to scratch away at the floor.
“Y/n? Darling we have maids for this” she whispered softly, supporting her new sister-in-law and guiding her to stand up and walk toward the stairs.
“I was just helping” Y/n mumbled, “wine was spilt” she stated as she glanced over to the area she thought was stained with alcohol but when Rebekah glanced it was completely clean. She lead Y/n toward Klaus’s room but paused when she noticed the mess it was in and began to realise why Y/n hadn’t been to sleep. With a soft sigh she brought the she-wolf to her bedroom and helped Y/n out of her wedding dress.
“I suppose this isn’t the way you had hoped to get out of your dress” she joked gently but Y/n didn’t look amused.
“I’d rather you than your brother” she murmured and Rebekah gave a small laugh.
“One day you won’t think that” she whispered as she grabbed some of her pyjamas and passed them to Y/n. “He’ll become kinder after some time, it’ll be a difficult ride but you’ll get there. Besides he must already like you to have chosen you out of all the wolves” she convinced but Y/n just scoffed as she crawled into Rebekah’s bed and let her head hit the pillow
“Lucky me.” She quipped and Bekah hummed.
“I’ll get him to let you rest for today” she told her as she exited the room and let the girl sleep in her room for the day.
Klaus claimed not to care what Y/n did with her time, where she went or who she was with but Rebekah reminded him that she was his wife. Whether he was happy about or not.
“You either need to set her up a nice room for her to have for herself or you need to actually be her husband and have her feel comfortable enough to share one with you. My god Niklaus, it’s not like there’s anything wrong with her. It won’t give you a disease if you smile at the poor girl.” She scowled and Klaus glared but kept his trap shut.
Klaus knew Y/n was beautiful. She was delicate little thing, from what he had seen she could be very sensitive for a werewolf at times. But he knew she had a certain fire in her. He wondered what he would have to do to light that flame and have her snap at him. He wondered if her fear would override that anger.
It was much later in the day when he went to check on his new wife. Part of him worried she had ran away but he knew that she would stay, for the survival of her pack.
He found her curled up in his sisters pyjamas and bed. Reluctantly he picked her up and brought her to his room, tucking her into his bed and leaving her to rest there instead. After all, his bed was where she belonged now.
When evening came around, he made his way back to his room. As soon as he started getting ready for bed, Y/n forced herself up despite her still clearly needing sleep. He sighed as she left the room, ignoring his presence and going downstairs for the rest of the night.
Some days she would stay downstairs and behave almost zombie like as she tried to keep her mind running and eyes open, other times she just went to sleep while she knew Klaus was busy.
It annoyed him to no end but at the same time he was relieved that he never had to really see or speak to her. Still, whether either of them liked it, she was his wife and the fact that she wouldn’t stand in the same room as him was not something he appreciated.
So he did what he assumed to be best.
Forced her to spend time with him.
Often it would be in a painful silence as he stared her down and made sure she wouldn’t get up and leave. However after some time, she would have little conversations with him so that he would be sated and leave her alone for a little while later.
When in front of the other wolves, Klaus would become a different person. He would make sure to kiss Y/n’s cheek or head, hold her waist or hand. One because he had to make it seem as though they were some what happy so that the wolves would not turn on him and two because he liked to piss Jackson off. He took amusement in how the wolf would growl and scrunch his face up in distaste.
Y/n knew what Klaus was doing but didn’t see the point in arguing or getting all stressed about it, besides it only happened every now and then so it didn’t matter much.
However when Klaus began accidentally doing the little gestures when others weren’t around, as though it were his second nature, Y/n felt confused. She didn’t understand his motifs or what he wanted from her.
Rebekah told Y/n that he didn’t want anything, that he was just warming to her but Y/n was still skeptical. Even when Rebekah came into her room grinning and held out a piece of paper with a beautifully sketched version of Y/n’s face.
“He must’ve been bored out of his mind” Y/n mumbled dismissively as she handed the drawing back to Rebekah who rolled her eyes.
“He likes you” she argued and Y/n scoffed.
“He does not. He just wants me to do whatever he says”she countered and the mikaelson sister sighed
“He isn’t all bad, you know?” Bekah questioned
“Sure he isn’t. He’s quite lovely towards his daughter” she agreed and Rebekah hummed as she watched Y/n pretend to have no clue about Niklaus’s thoughts or feelings.
Klaus wouldn’t admit that he had become accustomed to Y/n’s presence and began to want it more often. He wasn’t too sure why but he had taken a fancying to her, he just had.
And he most certainly didn’t like when other people took a fancying to her as well. Not at all.
Now he knew that she would never peruse anything with anyone else, that would break the magical marriage binding the wolves together but it didn’t mean he didn’t get angry. Especially when another wolf could make her smile or blush better than he could. His teeth would bring, jaw would clench and his eyes would flicker gold.
It fuelled something ugly and twisted inside him.
Jealousy.
“Jealousy is a weak man’s disease” Niklaus had told Elijah many times over the centuries. “A man who knows his worth and his strength never had to fear that his girl would stray. Jealously means they are nothing. I am not nothing, I never will be.”
And yet, as soon as Y/n’s attention was given to an attractive werewolf, Klaus would feel as though he was nothing. He would feel that weakness that he loathed so deeply.
The only way to diminish that jealousy was to eliminate the threat. To pick away at the weakness piece by piece until only strength was left.
But that didn’t go well.
When Klaus killed a werewolf, Y/n went ballistic. It was the first time she had actually yelled at him, expressed her anger and threatened his position.
“It’s like you’re actually a fool! You hurt my pack and they will not protect you nor your child, this marriage will be pointless and finished-“ she ranted and his anger bubbled.
“This marriage will not end just because our pack says so” he growled and she glared at him, her pointer finger jabbed at his chest aggressively and it took everything within him not to snap it in half.
“It is hardly a marriage and it had only happened for the benefit of my pack and for your daughter. It is you that has a hundred enemies banging down the door at night and it will be you that suffers if you do not have the protection that I offer you.” She snapped and he sneered in her face. He wanted to kill her in that moment however at the same time, for whatever reason, he had never been more attracted to her. His wolf wanted to force her into submission. To spank and pound her until she admitted that she was his and wouldn’t ever threaten to leave him again. But he was also beyond furious at the possibility of his daughter’s life being on the line and so stormed past her before he would harm her.
He ignored her mutterings of how pathetic he was and locked himself in his arm room which was utterly destroyed by the end of the hour due to his never ending rage.
The next morning he had expected a pack of wolves to be stood at his door, angry and threatening. However he found them all sat at their long table, Y/n was at the head informing them that they had ‘found’ the pack member already dead and had brought him here so that they may take care of his body accordingly.
She lied for Klaus.
She let her family believe that it was someone else who had killed the wolf. When they accused Klaus, she snapped back at them that he was with her all day and had helped her take care of the body.
Y/n gave Klaus a look that dared him to contradict her words but he didn’t utter a word. He just stood at her side and placed a hand on her shoulder as he listened to the others discuss the traditional funeral that the wolf deserved.
Once they left, Y/n walked straight past Klaus and to her bedroom. She was unwilling to speak with her for the next few days. The only time she would was regarding Hope.
The small toddler had taken a strong liking to Y/n and often asked for her. Nobody could not love Hope once they spent some time with her so Y/n was always happy to have the baby in her arms.
Klaus too, very much enjoyed the sight of his wife holding his child. His mind began to spin together images of Y/n pregnant with his child. His wolf craved the thought. He could imagine how beautifully round her stomach would be and how he would press his hands to the bump while nuzzling into her hair.
And then he would think of how he would get her pregnant. She would be so gorgeous sprawled out in his bed.
Since their wedding day she had been in her own room but now Klaus desperately wanted her in his.
He wanted to be inside her. To claim her. To love her.
Never did he think he would love her.
Then again, never did he think he would be getting married or having a baby.
But all of those things had happened and he wouldn’t take them back. Perhaps he might’ve gone about them a little differently but he would have still wanted them to happen.
He told her that once.
One night when they were having dinner.
Somehow he had managed to convince her to share a meal with him and him alone. She couldn’t be bothered to fight over it so complied.
Y/n hadn’t expected him to actually make such an effort. Or to have been so lovely the entire evening. It was clear he wanted to impress her and to engage her, and he had but she didn’t understand why.
Until he told her of how he wouldn’t have changed things,not fully. He had admitted to her that he was somewhat happy with the fact that they were married. He didn’t say he loved her, he knew that would through her off but he made it obvious that he liked her much more than he had initially expressed.
She wasn’t so sure how to respond to him.
Y/n had thought that he was only nicer to her lately because he too was avoiding arguments but she hadn’t truly believed it was because he was being genuine.
Klaus noticed the frown on her face and looked down at his plate. “It’s a little silly I suppose” he muttered to himself, he couldn’t help the deflated feeling that travelled through him as he placed his fork down. “Neither of us wanted this marriage” he mumbled while standing up from his seat making his chair scrape against the floor with a painful sound.
Y/n felt the guilt sink in and she quickly got up also and rounded the table as he started to walk away. “Klaus,” she called softly, reaching out for his hand.
His eyes fluttered when she held onto his hand, he hadn’t felt the softness of her touch since their first and only kiss of their relationship from their wedding day.
He glanced to her and reluctantly shrugged her off. “No it doesn’t matter, I was being a fool” he argued and kept walking.
Y/n sighed to herself and rubbed her hands down her face in frustration.
The next morning Klaus ignored her, barely looked at her even.
It was later that day that she finally caught his attention and pulled him off into another room.
“Klaus” she murmured in annoyance when he went to open the door she had just pushed shut. “You’re behaving like a child” she tutted and he growled. “Would you just stop?” She told him and he glared at her.
“What do you want?” He asked, not bothering to soften his tone which made her frown again.
“I want you to talk to me” she whispered and he narrowed his eyes.
“You never want to talk to me.” he snapped, “you only want to because I made a stupid mistake”
“It wasn’t a mistake” she told him, her tone much gentler than his. “I just wasn’t expecting it”
“Why? Because it’s so shocking that I could possibly feel something-“
“God, Klaus no. You know I dont think you’re a heartless monster-“
“That strongly contradicts things you’ve said in the past-“ he argued and she made a sound of frustration.
“Well I’ve changed my mind” she told him and his jaw tightened. “Klaus I’m serious. I know you now, I’ve seen you”
“Then what is it about me that you cannot love?” He whispered and her eyes softened further. They stared at each other until Y/n stepped forward and pulled him into a hug. Her arms went around his midsection and his went over her shoulders.
“It isn’t that I can’t” she mumbled and he closed his eyes
“You just don’t want to” he whispered but she still shook her head.
“I just don’t know how to” she corrected and he hummed quietly.
“But I love you” he uttered and she nodded.
“I know that now” she agreed “and I’ll make sure that I take that into consideration but Klaus, you can’t just expect that I’ll suddenly be all over you and madly in love” she told him and he frowned.
“Why not?” He asked and she scoffed softly. For centuries woman had been falling at his feet but the one woman that he married wouldn’t?
“Because the world doesn’t revolve around you?” She whispered, a little laugh in her voice that made him a little annoyed at first but when he saw her face he couldn’t help but laugh a little bit with her. Eventually he sighed and looked down with a small smile and a nod.
“I’ll earn your affections” he promised, kissing her forehead before exiting the room.
And from that day, he tried his very best to do just that.
Though of course they still had their arguments and disagreements, now he would be the first to apologise or to admit his wrong doings.
And slowly, like he had hoped, Y/n began to love him too.
Rebekah, Elijah, Hayley, Jackson and all the other wolves began to notice the much softer side to them both when they touched to spoke to each together. Some were happier than others about the change in dynamics between the two.
Jackson for one, was very put off when Klaus kissed his sister in front of everyone. What was worse was that she kissed him back and asked him to grab her a drink. They behaved like a real married couple. The wolves didn’t like it.
Some of them went as far to verbalise their opinions but Klaus’s siblings were quick to shut them up before they could upset Y/n. They reminded them that it was in the best interests of everyone that the two got along rather than Y/n living a miserable life just for the benefit of the pack. Eventually the majority agreed and kept quiet.
Jackson was most concerned.
Especially when he came round to visit and found Y/n sprawled across Klaus’s lap while reading a book..
“Y/n” he called, his gaze hard as he watched her lift her head and smile before getting up and going out for lunch with her brother. He expressed his worries and she assured him that Klaus was much better now and that she felt that she could love him. Jackson knew that her using the word ‘could’ was solely for his benefit. She wanted to say that she did love him.
With a small sigh he nodded and told her to just be happy and thanked her once more for everything she had done for him and their family.
When Y/n came home Klaus had made her a bubble bath for her to relax in. She laid in the water for a while before getting changed into comfy clothes and wondering downstairs. Klaus was in the kitchen grating Parmesan cheese over two dishes of pasta.
She smiled and sat at the table quietly, smiling at him when he placed the bowl infront of her before sitting down opposite with his own dish.
Klaus twisted his fork in the spaghetti and asked how her day with Jackson was. They chatted while they ate before loading the dishwasher and heading upstairs.
Y/n had been sleeping in his room lately. Mostly because they would accidentally fall asleep beside each-other when watching a film before bed but then Klaus asked if she would feel comfortable sharing a room with him and she agreed.
So this time they naturally just went to Klaus’s room or rather their room.
His eyes watched as she disappeared into the bathroom, a soft hum left her and her hips swayed gently. The tap started running which meant she was brushing her teeth and he followed her in and grabbed his own toothbrush to do the same. He glanced at her in the mirror as she focused on her mouth. He cleared his throat and finished cleaning up before kissing her head and going into their room to get changed into his sleep pants which he had only been wearing because he wasn’t sure if she would be comfortable with him in only briefs.
Klaus was unaware of how Y/n would imagine his naked body against hers, pressing and sliding against hers while they panted beneath the sheets of their bed.
It was why she started wearing tinier pyjamas to bed, in hopes it would entice him that extra bit.
The little shorts would allow him a glimpse of her ass, as though it was teasing him. And the little matching vest top would wrap around her upper body perfectly.
Klaus sat down on the bed and watched as she walked back in. His eyes glanced to wear her taut nipples would press against the Cotten of her clothes down to her long bare legs that he desperately wanted to bury between.
She let out a yawn as she slid into bed beside him and beneath the covers. He pulled her closer so that their bodies fit together like two puzzle pieces and sighed quietly as though having her touch soothed something inside of him.
“Thanks for tonight” she whispered as she leaned up and kissed his lips before laying her head down on her pillow. Klaus hummed and laid down with her.
“Thank you for having dinner with me again” he smiled and she returned it, her hand moved to caress his gently and he held onto hers tenderly.
“You don’t have to thank me for that, I love having dinner with you” she told him and his eyes flickered between hers as he took in her words because they both knew what she was actually saying.
“You do?” He whispered and she nodded.
“I do.”
Klaus kissed her again, for a few seconds longer this time. Just as he pulled his lips away from hers, she pushed them back together with a little more force. He groaned softly, his hand sliding down her back and over the curve of her ass to grip the back of her thigh and lift her leg up so her knee slide over his hip. His hand slid up under her shorts to feel the soft warmth of her pussy against his fingers.
Y/n moaned quietly against his mouth. Both her hands caressed his neck gently before one moved lower. Klaus grunted softly and pulled away from their kiss as he felt her hand cup his erection through his pants.
Their eyes locked as both their hands moved slowly, teasingly.
A small whimper left Y/n as Klaus’s fingers rubbed over her clit. She brought her hand under the waistband of his pants and wrapped her fingers around his cock. Her teeth bit into her bottom lip as she felt the length and thickness of him. Klaus’s mouth fell open slightly as he breathed shallowly.
Her hand pumped his cock slowly as he slipped a finger inside her. His thumb glided over her sensitive little bud, his eyes urging her to please move her hand faster. She complied and stroked him quicker, squeezing as she went.
His hips thrust against her hand while two fingers curled inside her to find her spot.
The whole room became hot and dark as the night deepened and the blankets were pulled over their heads to make them feel closer. Their breathing mixed together and little moans left them both as their hands moved faster.
Their mouths moved together sloppily as moans vibrated from both of them and their body moved in time to meet the other’s hand.
Y/n went first, her neck arched making Klaus move his lips down to suck along her throat while his hips thrust and his fingers fucked her fast. He panted as her cry of pleasure left her and he felt her pussy clamp down and release. It only took a few more squeezes of her hand around his cock for him to cum across her stomach.
They both lay, breathing heavily and looking at eachother. Y/n’s eyes squinted to see him in the dark, his hands were moving her onto her back so he could slot on top of her. Her thighs were nudged open and a gasp left her as the head of his cock started to push into her.
Klaus leaned down and kissed her again, deepening it in seconds so he could taste her while his cock finally felt the soft, wet warmth that he had longed for.
A strained cry of relief left her and her back arched off the bed as he filled her completely. His hands slid up her body and scrunched her shirt up above her breasts so that he could lean down and wrap his lips round one of her nipples.
“Klaus” she whimpered as his hips thrust slowly and his tongue flicked teasingly. He moaned softly around the bud before sucking it between his teeth. He released it with a pop before kissing up along her chest and throat until he took her lips to his. She kissed him back hungrily, accepting his tongue into her mouth without any resistance as his hips rolled faster into her.
He only pulled away from her lips when her pussy went unbearably tight on his cock, he let out a loud groan as he fucked into her as quickly as he could.
The harsh slap of his skin meeting hers repeated through the room alongside her moans for more. Klaus could feel himself getting closer to cumming and he was determined to fill her up. He wanted her to carry his next child.
His tongue traced the shell of her ear as she cried out and his fingers reached between her legs to rub at her clit until she was crying to cum.
“Shh sweetheart” he purred to her, “let me fill you” he whispered and the realisation of what he meant dawned on her.
“Klaus” she whimpered as she felt his cock release inside her. His hips slowed but didn’t stop as his cock softened momentarily before hardening again inside of her still.
He grunted softly as he glanced down at her, his fingers gently rolled over her clit while watching his cock slide in and out of her. He could see his cum spilling out of her and he desperately tried to fuck it back inside.
“I want you to be full of my child” he muttered to her and she moaned softly, her hand lifted to cup his cheek to draw his attention to her eyes.
"I love you" she whispered and he groaned quietly as he kissed her lips just briefly so she could speak again, "and I'll love our children" she told him making his hips buck roughly into her. She moaned in response and wrapped her arms around his neck while resting her head against his. "You''ll be such a good daddy to them" she murmured and a low growl rumbled through his chest as he took the praise and thrived off of it.
Y/n felt his pace quicken and her pleasure heighten making her kiss across his cheek to his ear slowly, "Please daddy?" she purred while her cunt clenched repeatedly and her lower stomach twisted into a series of knots. "Please give me your babies" she begged and he couldn't stop from snapping. His mind and body went haywire making her scream his name. Her body was practically vibrating as her body met his for the hundredth time and her head went back allowing his mouth to reattach onto her neck.
Her eyes rolled back when his teeth sunk into her throat.
Bliss rolled through both of them until their bodies were a heated, sweaty mess amongst the sheets.
His hand held the back of her head holding her face into his chest as they panted heavily. Her eyes closed as she felt him stroke her hair soothingly while he slid his cock out of her and caressed her swollen clit ever so gently with his thumb.
Y/n whimpered weakly and he smiled as he glanced down to watch her brows furrow together while her hips slowly rode the pad of his finger until one last cry left her alongside another orgasm.
Once he had ensured she was finished, he cleaned them both up and then their bed before dropping her down onto the fresh bedding and taking warmth in her giggle when she reached out and pulled him to lay beside her.
Klaus kept her snuggled up to him all night and into the next morning before reluctantly getting up and going downstairs to join the rest of the family.
He knew that everything was finally working out.

Okay, first of all, sorry for my bad English, but could you maybe write a story with Kalus where you are all together (his siblings and Elena, Damon, Stefan etc.) in a room and spend time together, or rather solve another problem. Klaus notices how absent you are and how quiet you are the whole time. And later you disappear to a quiet place where you can be alone but then he shows up? The story need to be sweet😪
Description: gets overwhelmed and needs some time to relax
Warnings: she/her pronouns, fluff, swearing
*Requests are open, please send through as many requests as you want, check my character list and requesting rules.*
Thank you for requesting this! I hope you enjoy it!

First Person's pov
Everyone was here. Bonnie, Elena, Damon, Enzo, Stefan, Elijah, Rebekah, Caroline and Niklaus. My house was normally the meeting place, today was no different. I couldn't tell you what the issue was this time, I've been out of it for the past week. It's been hard, at the start of the week, I nearly got badly hurt while the next big-bad came along and after Stefan saved my butt, I got reprimanded by him for being so reckless and stupid.
 I hated being yelled at or being near someone being yelled at. Ever since I was little, I've hated loud noises, so that incident at the start of the week just became a series of things building on top of each other. It was late, I was already overwhelmed and overstimulated, everyone was shouting at each other, demanding they be heard and that they were right.
"Dammit Damon! You cannot just expect us all to run around your agenda!"
"What else can we do?" Damon roared, I stared at my hands in my lap, fiddling with the skirt of my dress. I could feel Niklaus' eyes on me, they have been for the last little while, I have no clue what he was thinking or what he wanted but having him look at me, analysing me and my every move.
"Love, are you alright?" Niklaus softly murmured, I simply hummed in response, not meeting his eye or the disapproving hum that came from his lips. Everyone kept yelling, hitting my furniture in frustration, I could feel the tears bubbling and the prickling in my throat, If I didn't get away now then I'd breakdown in front of everyone.
While everyone was gathering around the table, writing out a plan for stopping this big bad, I slipped away and sat in my bedroom. I let out a shaky breath, letting the tears slip from my eyes and sobbed into my hands. I curled into my mattress, clutching my teddy bear to my chest and hoping all the chatter in my brain would fade away.
"So, this is the great Y/n L/n's bedroom." I sat up, rubbing my eyes, watching as Niklaus sat on the edge of my bed and turned to face me. I took a deep breath, pushing myself up and rested my teddy bear in my lap, watching him as he gazed around my room before his eyes landing me again.
"I am going to ask again... love. Are you alright?" His voice was smooth, gentle and even caring. On any normal day I could listen to him talk for hours on end, he had such a pretty voice.
"No... no, I'm not alright."
"Tell me what's wrong, love." It was a gentle demand, something I wouldn't fight against.
"I've just been feeling very overwhelmed and overstimulated. Got too much." Niklaus simply nodded, took my hand into his and rubbed his thumb over my knuckles. Niklaus hummed, his face scrunching up in thought before it relaxed and his eyes gazed upon me soothingly.
"I will kick them out from your home. They can take this to the Salvatore manor."
"Thank you." He nodded and looked at my teddy bear.
"What is this lovely thing's name?" I was grateful for the distraction, clutching to the arms of the bear a little tighter and smiled.
"Her name is Pebbles. I got her when I was a baby. I know it's silly... not being a kid anymore and having a teddy bear still." Niklaus shrugged, seemingly not bothered by this.
"Does it bring you comfort?" I nodded.
"Then why should it matter?"
"I suppose you are right, Niklaus." He chuckled once I said his name, I raised an eyebrow, trying to keep my own smile at bay from his sweet laughter.
"You always call me Niklaus. I don't think I have ever heard you call me Klaus."
"I like calling you Niklaus. It sounds nice, it just rolls off the tongue." He chuckled nodding, turning his body to face me better. I took another breath, finding the uneasy feeling fading away the longer I sat in Niklaus' presence. It was quiet up here, I could just here the others and every time I would react to the group becoming more vocal, Niklaus would bring my attention back to him by asking about something in my room.
My cat walked into the room, jumping onto Niklaus' lap, curling into him and hitting his hands with her paw to get him to pet her.
"She's a sweet thing, I'm sorry, I'll call her off."
"It's okay, I do not mind, your cat and you are quite welcome to my lovely presence and comfort whenever." I chuckled at the light sound of arrogance in his voice. He continued petting my cat for a little while until she jumped off and he took that as his moment to stand up and held out his hand.
"Y/n, I think you need some time away from these headaches. Do you trust me?" I nodded, I really did, not once had Niklaus used me for his gain, he hadn't betrayed my trust once and I don't believe he ever would.
"Yeah, okay." He picked me up, then sped out my window. Niklaus took me to a look-out in a couple towns over, it overlooked the water and no one else was nearby. The water brushed up against the rocks, soothing and peaceful. Within a blink he disappeared and within another he had a cup full of f/ice/c.
"Thank you. Y-you didn't need to do this."  "You are feeling down, a sweet treat can always help. As I am told." I took small spoonfuls of the ice cream and started swaying to the gentleness of the violin.
"You know my favourite ice cream, my favourite instrument and my favourite song. How?"
"I have my ways, love." He whispers, letting me bask in the peace of the music.

Hello, sorry for the inconvenience but I wanted to know if you can have one of baby Mikelason who only wants to be with Klaus Hayley and Hope if someone carries her she starts to cry
Hug
Tumblr media
Flufftober, October 15th
Baby female Mikaelson reader x Klaus mikaelson x Hayley Marshall (and Hope + Kol)
Warnings: none
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Klaus follows yours and Hope's giggles into the library. Once he gets there, he stops and leans against the doorway at the sight that's displayed in front of him.
On the ground is a soft blanket where you and Hope are sitting, playing with some toys. You guys are in your own little world, not noticing someone in the entrance of the room. But beside you where Hayley sits on the leather couch, her head pops up from where she was watching you both with a smile on her face.
Her attention is turned over to the man, and she nods her head to the side in a meaning to come in and not just lurk in the doorway. Klaus pushes his side off from the door frame and walks over to the three of you.
"What brings you here?" Hayley asks him once he sits beside her. "I heard my daughter and baby sister apparently having some fun" He answered before turning his attention to the two of you.
At the moment, you and a one year old Hope are stacking foam blocks into some sort of building to place the little doll figures on. The blocks and the small dolls are some of the most used toys by the two of you. You guys could sit on the blanket or a bed and play with them for hours without getting bored.
Though after the tower falls down again, sending both of you into giggles, you finally notice the other presence in the room. You turn around and see your big brother sitting next to Hayley on the couch. "Niky!" You exclaim, getting up and bounding over to him.
"Hello, sweetheart. Having fun with Hope?" He asks as he pulls you up into his lap, facing him. "Yeah. Hopey an' me p'ay" You nod your head.
Hayley smiles at your response, being so fond of the little girl that you've been basically joined at the hip with. She finds it so endearing hoe you gush about Hope for how much you love her. She thought once she was born, you were going to not be as pleased with there being another little one around and in the family. But she couldn't be any more wrong, you absolutely adore the newest family member.
Hayley stands leans over to pick said girl up from the blanket as well once she sees her little yawns. Hope immediately snuggles into her mom's chest and closes her eyes, telling Hayley it was about time for a nap.
"I'm going to go put Hope down for her nap. Do you want to come, or stay with your brother, Hun?" She asks, smiling over to where you're looking up at the one year old in her arms.
"Umm, I stay Niky" You answer, you haven't gotten to spend much time with your big brother lately and you've missed him. "Okay, I'll see you later, Baby" She leans down gently, not wanting to disturb the half asleep girl, and places a kiss to the top of your head.
As Hayley walks out of the room, you wave before turning back to face Klaus. "Well, what do you want to do, my little troublemaker" He asked, running his hand through your hair.
"Hug" is all you tell him before crashing forward into his chest and wrapping your tiny arms around as much of him as you can. Klaus wraps his arms around your back, enveloping you into his embrace in return. You cuddle into him, your face pressed against his soft henley.
"Is everything alright, y/n?" He asks you quietly. He's not used to your total calmness unless it's at night or your taking a nap with Hope. All you do is nod as an answer. "Alright, did something happen while I was away?" Again you just shook your head in response. Klaus doesn't have a clue what this quiet version of you brought it on. Though, he may have a slight suspicion, he just may have given himself the answer.
"Did you miss me?" He asks, rubbing his hand up and down your back. At that, you pull away only a bit to look up at him and nod with big puppy dog eyes. "We'll spend some alone time together than, hmm?" He tells you. "Yeah" you say in agreement before going back to cuddling into his chest as he relaxes back into the couch.
He's been gone for basically the entire week, barely showing up at the abattoir to make sure the recent threat of the quarter witches was taken care of. Him and along with your other siblings haven't been around for the same reason. They want to keep you and Hope safe from any threat that could make it's way over to you guys.
Though the alone time you guys planned didn't last. Not too long after you guys were just relaxing with each other and somewhere between, Klaus reaching over and pouring himself a drink, someone bursts into the room. You shriek at the loud sound and cling to your brother tighter.
About to hide you from any attacker, Klaus took sight of who exactly it is and let out an agitated sigh. "Must you barge in, little brother" Klaus didn't mean it as a question, and the other person knew it as well.
"Yes, of course I must, Nik. Or else where would my brotherly duties be?" Kol answered nonetheless with a cheeky smile before making his way over to the two of you.
You're still hidden in Klaus' chest from the fright of the bang before. "You don't need to be afraid, Y/n/n. It's just me" Kol calms his voice and crouches down behind where you're sat on Nik's lap.
"Kol?" You slowly turn your head out of the secureness of Klaus' chest. "Yep, just me. Your best big brother" Kol answers, ignoring Klaus' eye roll at the comment.
"And I have a surprise! You want cookies?" His eyes glimmer with joy while asking you. "Yeah!" You exclaim back at the notion of eating cookies.
"Alrighty then, let's go!" He plucks you out of Klaus' lap and places you on his hip, heading towards the hallway.
But before he could make it past the threshold of the door, an earsplitting shriek filled the room, making Kol hiss in displeasure from having his ear so close to the source it came from.
Tears started to threaten to fall down your flushed cheeks, making Kol surprised and his eyes widening. "What's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Kol asks, sadness hinting in his voice. He never means to hurt you, but now he's scared he had.
Klaus stands from the couch and quickly works his way over to the two of you. He takes you into his arms from Kol's and sways you in his arms, calming you down right away to where you snuggle back into his chest.
"I'm sorry" Kol tells you and he guesses Nik as well. "I didn't mean to hurt her, I swear" Kol tells his brother, pleading that he'll believe him.
Klaus sighs at the emotion coming from Kol, "No, you didn't hurt her. She just likes to only be held by me and Hayley most of the time and has bad reactions when others do." Klaus explains, feeling a tad sorry for his little brother.
"Oh, uh, I didn't know. I haven't been around a lot. I;ve been spending time with Davina. Sorry again though, y/n/n. I promise I'll ask next time, okay?" Kol cautiously tucks your hair behind your hair.
You look up at him with glossed eyes and nod in agreement. You never meant to make your brother sad, you just wanted to stay with Niky.
"It's alright. You're not the only one this has happened to. It happened with Marcel last week and he almost started freaking that he'd done something wrong like you had. It's just some new attachment she's gotten. Don't worry, soon she'll be all clingy to everyone again. We just have to give it some time." Hayley enters the room and speaks softly to Kol, explaining more in depth.
After, Kol slowly nods in understanding. "Okay, yeah. that makes sense, she spends the most time with you" Kol says. "I guess I'll see you guys later. Oh, and the cookies are on the kitchen counter" Kol remember to give that information before leaving the room.
He's obviously sad, but he understands that you're going through a clinging stage. It's normal, he shouldn't hold it against you.
"Is she alright?" Hayley comes closer to the two of you, asking Klaus. "She'll be just fine. Only needs some time to calm down is all" Klaus smiles at the hybrid woman.
CLAUSTROPHOBIA
Pairing: Kol Mikaelson x Fem!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: When you’re trapped in a tiny space with Kol, you find out one of his fears.
Warnings: Panic attacks, PTSD, a bit of angst, fluffy ending, inconsistencies in the tense it’s written in (big shock, I know)
Notes: This isn’t as sad as I wanted it to be to be honest but that’s okay… This is based on the idea that due to being daggered and locked in the coffins that the Mikaelsons develop claustrophobia.
Word Count: 1.4k
———————
Your parents had told you stories of the infamous Mikaelson family and you did everything in your power to stay off their radar. Unfortunately for you, your best friend Hayley got pregnant with Klaus Mikaelson’s child, effectively dragging you into their mess.
You tried your best to minimize contact with them but being that Hayley was practically your sister, it was inevitable that you’d have to be around them. That didn’t mean you had to like it, but for the most part, it was okay. Rebekah was friendly and always excited to have another girl around, Elijah was very formal and respectful, Klaus was too concerned with his child to be bothered by you, but Kol…
Oh, how you hated Kol Mikaelson. He was rude and arrogant, always desperate for attention. That wasn’t the worst though, not only was he incredibly entitled but he was also a flirt. You hated the fact that he could make your face heat up by shooting you a wink or smirking. Not to mention the constant pet names. He would always laugh after, poking fun at how shy you’d get. You hated the effect he had on you and the fact that deep down you knew you didn’t really hate him.
Which is why you repeatedly press the ‘close door’ button on the elevator panel when you see him walking down the hall towards you. In a flash, he’s next to you, leaning on the handrail with a cheeky smile.
“Hello darling.”
Damn vampires and their super speed.
You sigh, dropping your hand to your side as you stare ahead of you, not wanting to feed into his game. To you, he was flirting with you to make fun of you, just as the boys in middle school had done and maybe if you ignored it, he’d stop. The elevator begins to descend, only a few more moments and you’d be out of here.
Kol was not giving up that easily though, he leans closer, “Hi.”
Reluctantly, you turn to look at him with a glare, “Hi Kol.”
The corners of his eyes crinkle as he smiles, “So darling, I was thinking—“
He’s cut off when the elevator comes to a screeching halt.
“What was that?” His voice sounds panicked (something you don’t notice) and he takes a step back from you, pressing his back to the wall, his hands gripping the handrail so tightly that his knuckles turn white.
Startled, you reach forward and press the emergency button on the elevator, “I think… we’re stuck.”
“Stuck?” he questions, voice above a whisper.
“Yes Kol.” you hiss, still not picking up on his mood change.
You sigh, pressing the emergency button again, “They’re probably going to take forever. We’re going to be stuck for a bit…” you mumble.
Silence follows, making you furrow your brows. Kol never shuts up, never.
“What?” you ask, still not turning around, “No flirty comment about how we could pass the time? I’m shocked…” You trail off, turning around to look at him. His entire body is tense, his eyes squeezed shut while he begins to hyperventilate.
“Kol…” You mumble quietly.
Then the lights go out and the handrail he was holding snaps off the wall causing you to jump back.
“Kol!”
His eyes snap open, immediately focusing on you as the emergency lights turn on, still, he doesn’t say anything. His breathing is labored as he slides down the wall of the elevator. You kneel in front of him and he buries his face in his hands, still shaking.
“Kol… What's happening? Talk to me.”
“Don’t make me go back there…” his voice cracks as he begins to sob into his hands, “I can’t… I can’t breathe… I can’t go back… I can’t…”
You reach forward, placing your hands on his, causing him to flinch before looking at you once again.
“Hey… just… try and copy me…” you say softly, taking a deep breath.
Kol mimics the action and you smile, “Good, again…”
You repeat this process until he has mostly calmed down, he was still sweating and tears stained his cheeks.
“Are you okay now?” you ask quietly, still holding his hands.
Kol seems to snap back to reality, pushing your hands away and looking to the side, anywhere but you, “I’m fine,” his voice cracks as he speaks.
“Talk to me, that’s—“ you begin to speak but he interrupts you.
His gaze snaps back to you, “Why? So you can mock me?”
“Kol I wouldn’t—“
“Don’t lie, I know you’re not a fan of me, darling.”
You scoff, “Just because I…” you trail off a bit, not wanting to say ‘don’t like’, which was weird because you could tell yourself in your head, all the time, how much you hated him. But you couldn’t say it outloud, “…doesn’t mean I’m cruel… I don’t want to make fun of you, I want to understand.”
“Well you should make fun. It’s pathetic. I’m pathetic. I’m an original vampire, this…” he motions to his current state, “should not be happening. Now you know I’m weak, that I’m scared… I shouldn’t be!”
You frown, “You’re scared of elevators?”
“Small spaces… small dark spaces…” he corrects, focusing on your face that was lit by the emergency lights. He needed to focus on anything but the walls that seemed to be closing in around him. You were a welcome distraction, keeping him grounded.
Your eyes widen in realization, “The daggers… coffins…”
Kol’s jaw clenches, “Don’t… I don’t… I…”
“Okay, okay!” You say quickly, panicking a bit, “I… hopefully we’ll be out of here soon… in a big, open space.”
“I hate these metal death boxes.” he murmurs, “I am fascinated by modern technology but these things…”
“Then why did you get on?”
“…To talk to you… I just wanted to talk to you, I like talking to you.”
The corner of your mouth twitches, “You like talking to me?”
He hums, letting his head fall back to the wall, closing his eyes and you sigh, your smile faltering a bit, “You’ve got a funny way of showing it.”
Kol opens one eye, “You make it so easy to tease you… and well, modern flirting… it’s confusing…”
Your eyes widen, “Flirting? You’re… you’re flirting with me?! Like genuine interest in me?!”
“Thought it was obvious…” he mumbles.
“Kol! You flirt like a middle school boy! I thought you were making fun of me!“
“I was just teasing—“
The elevator jolts, causing you to launch forward, crashing into Kol whose hands shoot out to brace you as your hands fall to his chest. The normal lights begin to flicker and come back on, allowing you to see the position you’ve ended up in. Finally, the elevator begins to move causing you both to sigh in relief.
“Thank God.” Kol breathes out, and his usual smirk paints his face again, “Although, I do like this position, darling…” referring to the fact you were practically sitting on his lap.
You roll your eyes as your face heats up, causing Kol’s smirk to grow but for the first time you pay attention to his eyes. He’s looking at you with such adoration and you wonder if he’s always looked at you that way.
The elevator dings, signaling that you had arrived at the first floor and Kol is off the ground in seconds, offering you his hand, “C’mon, let’s get off this death trap.”
You gladly accept his hand, both of you exiting as soon as the doors open and you can visibly see the tension melt away from Kol.
“Better?”
“Much. I’m never getting on one of those bloody things again… only stairs from now on.”
You sigh, “I hate stairs…”
“I’ll carry you,” he declares and you playfully roll your eyes.
Kol notices the look on your face and continues, “I’m serious,” he looks down at you, his expression suddenly very serious, “about the carrying you and about what I said… I do like you…”
You smile softly, “Maybe you’re not as bad as I thought…”
“Or maybe I’m worse,” he widens his eyes dramatically.
“I doubt it,” you giggle before sighing, “Kol?”
He hums in response so you continue, “If you want to talk about it… about the fear… I’ll listen.”
Kol smiles slightly, leaning forward to press a kiss to the crown of your head and you stare at him in awe because of the sweet gesture.
“Perhaps one day, darling… for now, though, I’d like to get a coffee, care to join me?”
A small smile appears on your face and you giggle a bit, “Kol Mikaelson, is this your way of asking me on a date?”
“Maybe? Depends on what you’d say…”
“Well, I think I’d say yes.”
“Well, then I think I’d say it’s a date.”
Imagine: Elijah finding you drunk at a bar
Tumblr media
Stumbling towards a booth to sit down from dancing around the bar with your best friend, Damon.
You gently slap your cheeks to stay awake, someone walks toward you and says," Are you alright?"
Fiercely shook your head no,  and said," I.....a-m....tired."
"Did you get drunk again with Damon?" The mysterious person replied.
You felt that you where leaning forward, the mysterious person places his hands on your shoulder and lifts your head up.
He moves your head from one side to the other. He shook his head in annoyance, he turns around to see if Damon is anywhere insight but he is gone. Like always Damon leaves you here by yourself with no defense to take care of yourself.
"Y/n, do you know who I am." He questions your drunk figure.
You hiccup then answered,"my fairy godmother."
He shook his head and smiled, there are points where he admires you drunken stature because it is  of a child.
He lifts you up in bridal style and slowly walks to the door to leave the horrible bar. He is actually glad that like always, he is their to protect you and make sure no one will take advantage of you in any way.
He begins to walk toward where you live, you would've thought that he would use his vampire speed but he didn't. He wants to spend more time with you but whenever he tried to have you for himself, Elena or Caroline would drag you away and sadly, this is the only time he can be with you without your annoying friends.
_______
The sunlight hit the planes of window, wakes the hangover silohoute. A scorching headache begins to pound, the light and the little moves the said person does hurts them in many ways. Oh how much she/he regrets getting drunk with Damon?!
______
Y/n, heard a noise coming from downstairs. Carefully getting out of bed, y/n stumbles toward to get he's/her's baseball bat. Y/n heard the footsteps becoming clear with every step, she/he swing as hard as she/he could to the intruder. The unknown person took hold of the bottle and removed it from you, you quickly without hurting yourself and your head tried to dash to the bathroom. But a hand takes hold of your wrist and turns you around, the dangerous person lifts you heads and says,"I bought you home safely and this is how you repay me."
You carefully open your eyes and smiled, and replied with, "So, what did I do when I was drunk? Elijah."
He chuckles softly and says, "Many stupendous things."
"Why do I have a feeling they are bad, Elijah."
A\n: I am sorry for how short it is
"I just wanted a burger." She frowned, staring at the mirror while Klaus helped slide her body into her dress. Deep sadness and exhaustion reflected in her eyeballs, the same sadness that had been ever-present since Klaus reminded her of their party.
A peace offering with Marcel, which she argued was pointless and declared she could miss. Klaus naturally needed to object! How could he show up to such an event and not bring the most gorgeous person in the world with him? That and he needed another person who could agree with (mostly) all his judgments
"Once we make our way through the riff-raff we can stop on the way home." The custom gown was slid onto her body now, and it highlighted all the best parts of her. All the parts Klaus loved.
"I won't want to stop on the way home, I don't want to go outside in the first place. I hate these parties and I don't want to see Miss Tagrot. Oh God, I can't stand that woman, why does Marcel invite her everywhere? Don't tell me he's sleeping with that thing."
He smirked, smugly, once he turned out of her line of sight to button his sleeves properly. She didn't want to be around anyone besides him and selfish as Klaus was he was overjoyed by this.
She stepped off the small platform she was on that was surrounded by mirrors after a quick look over herself. She looked stunning like she was straight out of history. The dress hugged her figure, and her wig was styled into a gorgeous updo with two pieces of hair framing her gorgeous features.
Klaus needed to call their driver. He stole a glance out of their large bedroom windows after leaving their walk-in closet. Ass hitting the sheets, he shut his eyes for a brief moment to inhale. He could still smell the mix of their scents. A mixture of sweetness and the forest. Once he grabbed his phone off the dresser he let his mind wander.
His ears focused on the sound of the cars outside in his city. The people going about their business, the vampires hunting for a meal. How many of those cars were driving to the very place he was soon to be? How many would be at Marcel's little gathering (which is certainly pointless knowing Marcel and Klaus) tonight?
Suddenly her arms wrapped around his broad chest, and she overtook him. The bed sunk as she crawled onto it, and he felt her soft, long gloves snake around him. Her scent, her feel, everything. She was whispering in his ear, pressing soft kisses to his neck.
How was a man to resist in the face of such beautiful temptation? Don't ask Klaus, he could hardly manage right now.
"Klaus, let's stay home. I'll let you paint me naked again." She whined in his ear, bringing her nails up to his head. Scratching the back of his ears, she wanted to stay home.
"You don't have to lie, I know you like it when I look at you naked." Turning his head, his eyes connected with hers. His eyes found their way to her full lips, and he knew what needed to be done. A soft kiss to her lips and the idea of missing all the possible chaos and creating issues was looking more and more enticing. Staying home and stripping that gown off her sounded so, so much better.
He wouldn't be Klaus Mikaelson if he didn't show up fashionably late, and make an entrance. Blue eyes met dark ones with a buzz of excitement. Klaus fixed their bodies onto the mattress, where she was now flat on her back and Klaus towered over her. The spark in her eyes and the smirk across her lips told Klaus that she won. She won and she knew it, the little minx.
When her arms wrapped around his neck, Klaus dipped down to kiss her again. She ghosted her fingers over the nape of his neck drawing a little pattern.
He couldn't help himself and took advantage of the slit in her dress. While he ran his hand up her thigh and gave a healthy squeeze, Klaus's mind and heart were racing. How could have even thought about going to this party when his girlfriend was here, looking like a gorgeous blast from the past? As if she came straight out of the 1920s with improvements made to the dress that suited her style.
Her hands took a small squeeze at his ass, and Klaus chuckled. Then he was lying down right on top of her, grinding his hips into hers. He could taste tongue as they continued their foreplay.
She overwhelmed his senses so well that Klaus didn't hear Elijah walking up the steps until he knocked on the door. At first, he thought he was having an auditory hallucination but then she cut her eyes sharply to the door.
"What?" She snipped. That just made his suit pants even tighter.
"Sorry to interrupt, but there's a driver here for you two." Elijah chuckled. Of course, Elijah probably heard their passionate kisses and shared shuddered breaths.
"Of all the bloody things, I can never just stay home. Tell him we'll be out in a moment." Klaus crawled off her, wiping the smears of lipgloss off his face. He certainly smears her colored lip makeup all over his face.
"What happened to just wanting to stay home?" Klaus chuckled while she tried to fix the back of her hair.
"We can't just be rude, the drivers already come. It would be different if Elijah never told us but now I feel bad. The poor man is just trying to do his job." She muttered and ran her fingers across his chest. Klaus was perched at the edge of their mattress, and she was sitting up against the pillows, pulling him in like a spider catching a fly. That wicked smirk came across her face again and she brought her face closer to his.
Her eyes met his while she admired the smeared makeup on his face.
"You look like a whore. My whore." She snickered in his ear, running a hand over his thighs just short of where he needed her. He smiled, knowing this was going to be a hard night. Pun intended.
༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻
She gripped him like a bad habit that you couldn't shake no matter what you tried the moment they stepped out of the car. She was Klaus's girlfriend, his wild card who couldn't be tamed, a bear who was standing outside its cave. But once they got somewhere with too many people, the bear went into hibernation and slept until it was time to leave. Not from fear, but simply from sheer kindness.
And Klaus loved knowing she was only quiet for the sake of others. For the sake of not wanting to make enemies of the entire city. Sadly, that was one of Klaus's favorite things to do.
The party was a typical Marcel party. It was moderately loud, there were flashing lights, and crowds of the elite mingled. Live performers and tantalizing meals were off to the side, and Klaus glanced up at the ceiling, seeing people mingling on the upper balconies. Other vampires, of course, Marcel didn't just let anyone up there. Klaus himself finally arrived, so the party could start.
They pushed through the crowds of people. Hello's, compliments, and well wishes were exchanged though Klaus met none of them. Like always, everyone took notice of Klaus's stunning companion no matter how badly she wished they didn't.
She didn't want to be standing in the center of the room (ironic considering that she was dating the man himself, Klaus Mikaelson) but there she was.
"There's the man of the century," Marcel called, making his way down the steps. Stopping before the two, she bristled slightly.
"Marcel." She greeted him curtly. All that needed to be said was said to him. He smiled at her, his grin reminding Klaus of a hunter about to shoot his prey.
"Ma belle." He took the gloved hand that wasn't latching onto Klaus and pressed a soft kiss to it. Deep down inside, Klaus was thrilled to know that this disgusted her. How long did it take for her to allow Klaus to hold her?
"Hm." She smiled politely but took a glass of champagne from a passing waiter who she grabbed with such strength that it showed how badly she wanted to leave. The only time anyone would grab someone for a drink with such ferocity was when that person wanted to be anywhere else.
"Marcel, thank you for inviting us to dinner." Klaus joked as the three of them eyed a woman who walked past them. Klaus hadn't eaten before they left like he usually does so he could hear the thrumming of blood all around him. Marcel let out his usual hearty chuckle and she stuck closer to him.
"Speaking of dinner," Drawing the two's attention back to him. Marcel ran his hands down the front of his suit, Klaus couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. It seemed like the drama Klaus lived for was finally starting.
"Can I show you something, Klaus?" Marcel asked in a more hushed tone. It was that time of night when Klaus sadly had to leave her alone for a bit to handle business. If it were up to him, Klaus would have her superglued to his side.
But alas, sometimes even Klaus Mikaelson couldn't have everything go his way.
༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻
Finding her again was like finding a beacon of light in a dark room. Like a blind man seeing for the first time, Klaus's heart instantly became lighter when he found his beacon again.
Marcel was still upstairs, sleeping off the punch Klaus decided he needed and Klaus happily skipped his way down the steps. His eyes cleared the room once he identified everything he needed.
A random person (or two) for dinner and his light at the end of the tunnel. Thankfully they just happened to be bunched together in one perfect little conversation circle for Klaus to wiggle into. With long steps, Klaus felt a thrill building at being close to her again.
She stood politely, sipping on her drink, and pushed a strand of hair behind her ears. He could hear her heartbeat jumping in her chest and heard an uncharacteristic giggle. Klaus could tell she'd been attempting to drink away her discomfort, the discomfort that followed with his absence.
A piece of chocolate (he made a mental at how it was the same color as her but he refrained from telling her this, as she often expressed annoyance at being compared to food) slipped into her mouth that she grabbed from the treats table, the white lights that shone around the room made her look even more like an angel.
A flash of light came over her brown eyes and Klaus felt his breath stop for just a second. She was too perfect and Klaus wanted to just grab her and go instantly.
The closer he got the happier he got to see her. Sure it was a bit odd how it made him want to jump for joy to know she didn't want to be around anyone else but who was about to say anything to him about it?
"Klaus! Oh, it's great to see you, I wasn't expecting you to come but once I saw this one I knew you couldn't be far behind." Miss Targot, the bane of his girlfriend's existence. She pulled Klaus into a friendly hug, the fur of her collar almost getting into his mouth.
Of course, that tight grip returned to Klaus's side the moment he was free. She was holding his arm once more, and Klaus shook his head slightly. Glancing down, he saw that she was on the verge of being tipsy but thankfully coherent enough to give Klaus little to no issue tonight.
But alcohol did make her more frisky than usual, so it was probably best they made their exit soon before they accidentally shamed themselves in front of all of New Orleans. Or before Klaus decided to pull her into a random room.
Either way, he heard the sound of furniture splintering, and to his left caught a view of some of Marcel's friends pointing down at him. Certainly time for an exit. After all, he still owed her that hamburger.
༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻
"Every time I see that bitch she sounds more and more obnoxious. It's all 'Oh Paris was wonderful' and 'I just adored my trip to Dominican Republic' bitch why are you not home with your children?" Klaus barked out a laugh as she perched onto her vanity seat and slid two earrings into her ears.
She rubbed cocoa butter onto her dark skin, while Klaus placed his paint brushes into his mouth and pulled the curtains wide open to let in the sunlight.
It was the next day now, the two had slept well into the afternoon. They were only woken up by someone throwing a brick through their living room window and this turned out to be someone with some grievances with Rebekah. Now they were sitting in their bedroom, while Elijah and Hayley prepared for the cleaners Klaus sent for to come. Hiding bodies and whatnot while Rebekah dashed around the city, a woman on a mission.
It was finally time for that painting she offered Klaus last night.
In her natural form, he could see her confidence, the fire that resided within her. Barren of heavy makeup, only a touch of blush and lipgloss with some clear mascara for her lashes Klaus felt like he almost didn't deserve to be around her right now.
She was so beautiful and perfect that with all Klaus had done, he didn't deserve to have her posing for him let alone dating him.
"They're probably paying for those trips, the miserable trollop she is I doubt they want her home very often." Klaus joked as he went back to his easel and resumed setting up his paints. Red, browns, deep greens (for the fainting couch she would be lying on), and the color of her large fancy robe. Klaus thought it made her look like a really pretty bird. A really pretty bird that would take out one of your eyes without much hesitation.
After all, it would be rude to snatch someone's eye from their socket.
She snorted, as she slid seductively onto the couch.
"I wouldn't." Klaus watched her get comfortable, with her well-practiced pose (the one Klaus always envisioned in his mind) and prepare to be drawn.
"You wouldn't want to be anywhere with her." Adjusting his easel, it was almost time for him to truly focus.
"No, I don't want to be anywhere without you. You literally know I don't like people, you make them tolerable. I know I'll have an eyewitness to the absurdity I see. Now enough about her, draw me like one of your French girls." Her brows wiggled and they both took a pause. Silence and then laughter.
The line from that ridiculous movie that Klaus was really mad that he actually enjoyed (and that admittedly turned him on) made him and her cackle. His sides hurt and the sides of his eyes crinkled. She was trying not to roll off the couch from how hard she was laughing, cackling actually, so loud that it was probably heard down the street along with Klaus's loud bellows.
The sound that came from their bedroom so often, usually induced by her, eventually settled from Klaus's doubled-over form. She somehow rolled onto her stomach and they both calmed down.
Eventually, the silence settled and they fell back into their usual conversation. Things about the baby, when she would be born, how much she liked snacks, Klaus teasing her and her telling him to lick her ass, Klaus of course thrilled to do so.
His pencil ran over the easel, the first sketch being perfectly designed while his mind wandered. She began to sing (horribly off-key though intentional) and Klaus lightly scolded her to hold still.
She was Klaus's girlfriend. His girlfriend who, for the sake of others, held her tongue in public but when it was just the two of them she was a shining star. A force of unstoppable grace and nature. His girlfriend, whom Klaus could just be a regular guy with and just laugh as loud as he pleased at nothing in particular.
Above all though, she was Klaus's. And deep down inside nothing else mattered more to him than that.
It had been a while since the entire Mikaelson family had been under the same roof, but when Kol came through the door carrying a massive Christmas tree, he was quickly met by an excited Hope, who had been waiting impatiently for him to come home.
"Uncle Kol!" the little girl cried, rushing into his arms and hugging him tightly. "You brought the tree!"
"Well, of course I did, little darling," he said, returning the hug just as eagerly.
Elijah cast a skeptical glance at the towering tree as Kol began setting it up in the courtyard. It stretched nearly to the third-floor balcony, its branches sprawling like a small forest.
"Was a tree of this size really necessary?" Elijah asked, his tone dry but patient.
Kol shrugged, carefully securing the base. "Why not? The holidays are all about extravagance," he replied, stepping back to admire his handiwork.
"Daddy! Mommy! Come see the tree!" Hope cried out, racing off to find her parents.
You leaned against the second-floor railing, watching the commotion below. Kol stood proudly by the massive tree, grinning like a child on Christmas morning, while Klaus approached, already scowling.
"Where did you get this?" Klaus asked, arms crossed. "They certainly aren’t selling these at the tree lot."
"I found it," Kol answered vaguely, his mischievous grin widening under Rebekah’s pointed glare. "Perhaps with a bit of magical assistance,"
"Kol..." Elijah warned, his calm tone carrying a note of exasperation.
Before Kol could reply, a small voice interrupted. "Uncle Elijah," Hope said, tugging on his sleeve. Her big, hopeful eyes were enough to melt even Elijah’s stoic demeanor. "Will you help me decorate the tree?"
Elijah smiled warmly, lifting her into his arms. "Of course, sweetheart."
Your heart melted at the sight. Elijah had always had a way with Hope, his tenderness shining through in moments like these.
"I can help too, uncle Kol can't keep me from it," Rebekah said with a smirk.
Klaus was quick to jump in, "oh please, Bekah, I think we all know I'm the better decorator."
"Go get the decorations, and then we'll see about that," Rebekah told her brother, crossing her arms.
Elijah handed Hope off to Hayley and went to the storage room where the ornaments were kept. As he walked, he caught your gaze, and gave you a soft smile, his eyes twinkling. You found yourself following him into the storage room.
"Do you want me to carry that?" you asked, taking in the large cardboard box Elijah had pulled from the shelf.
"Thank you, but I'm perfectly capable of carrying a box," he told you with a chuckle.
"Well, it looks heavy," you replied, giving him a smirk.
He raised his eyebrow, "are you saying I'm not strong enough to lift a box? My dear I can lift you without even breaking a sweat."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes," he told you, stepping closer.
You bit your lip, trying to keep yourself from grinning. Elijah's eyes darted to your lips, a smirk forming on his face. He stepped even closer, his body almost brushing yours.
"So, are you going to prove it or not?" You asked, a challenging tone in your voice.
He smirked, leaning in close enough for his lips to brush the shell of your ear. His voice was low and raspy when he whispered, "I will be more than happy to show you later,"
Your breath hitched, and heat pooled in your lower stomach. You looked up at him, his face only inches from yours, and his gaze was hungry, but he wouldn't move any closer, not until you told him. The two of you had been dancing around each other for months now, neither one wanting to make the first move, but you were starting to think he might actually kiss you.
"Are you two love birds coming?" Rebekah's voice called out, effectively shattering the moment.
You stepped back, blushing furiously. Elijah gave you an apologetic smile before lifting the box and carrying it to the courtyard.
The ornaments were quickly passed around and the decorating began. Klaus, Kol, and Rebekah were trying to de-tangle the string lights, while Hope was helping Freya and Hayley pick out the prettiest ornaments. You and Elijah were sorting through the tinsel, contemplating which colors to use.
As the family began decorating, the bickering started almost immediately. Rebekah held up a string of red and gold ornaments. "We’re going traditional! Red, green, and gold. It’s classic."
Klaus scoffed. "Traditional? How dull. We should go for a winter wonderland theme. White, silver, and blue. Sophisticated."
"Traditional is timeless!" Rebekah snapped, hanging a gold bauble on the tree.
"And winter wonderland is elegant," Klaus retorted, tossing a strand of silver tinsel onto the tree.
Kol, watching from the sidelines, smirked. "Both of you have awful taste. Let’s make it fun! Bright colors everywhere. I bet this sturdy tree can hold all of our ornaments,"
The three of them turned toward each other, their voices growing louder. Freya sighed and crossed her arms. "Are we seriously doing this? Hope is right there. Can’t we go one holiday without arguing?"
"We’re not arguing," Klaus said, his tone anything but convincing.
"We’re discussing," Rebekah added with a sharp smile.
"Oh, really?" Freya asked, raising an eyebrow. "Then why do I hear so much shouting and so little decorating?"
Before anyone could respond, Hope, who had been quietly observing, spoke up. "I want it all purple! Purple is my favorite!"
Everyone turned to look at her. Klaus, ever the doting father, immediately relented. "Purple it is, my little princess."
Elijah chuckled softly, already retrieving the purple tinsel. "It seems the debate has been settled."
"Smart choice," you teased, watching him as he carefully handed a strand of tinsel to Hope.
As the decorating continued, the tree began to take shape—a towering display of purple tinsel and a mix of ornaments, each with its own bit of family history. Despite the occasional bickering, the atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter.
Finally, Klaus stepped back, surveying the nearly finished tree. "Now, we just need the topper," he declared.
"I want to do it!" Hope said, bouncing on her toes.
Klaus’s eyes widened. "Absolutely not. It’s too dangerous. The tree is massive."
"But Daddy—" Hope started, her pout already forming.
"No, sweetheart," Klaus said firmly. "Uncle Kol chose the most ridiculous tree imaginable. You won't be able to reach the top."
Hope crossed her arms and let out a dramatic sigh, she was so much like her father sometimes.
"Finnnnne," she groaned. "But someone needs to do it!"
"I got it," you offered, climbing the stairs to the second floor balcony.
Elijah followed you. "You should let me," he said, reaching the railing and offering his hand. "If you fall, you could really hurt yourself,"
"Are you going to catch me if I fall?" you asked, your eyes twinkling with mirth.
He grinned. "Of course, I will.”
In one smooth motion, Elijah placed his hands at your waist and lifted you effortlessly. You gasped, your hands instinctively gripping his shoulders as he steadied you, holding you high enough to reach the top. Hope clapped her hands below, beaming with excitement.
"Easy now," Elijah murmured, his voice calm and steady. "You’ve got this."
You placed the star carefully, adjusting it until it sat perfectly centered. "Done!" you exclaimed, turning to beam at him.
But in your excitement, you shifted your weight too far. Elijah tried to steady you, but the combination of your movement and the tree’s precarious balance was too much. The massive tree wobbled, then toppled, sending all of the ornaments and purple tinsel scattering across the courtyard.
Chaos erupted immediately. Klaus shouted something about Kol ruining Christmas, Rebekah shrieked about broken ornaments, and Freya and Hayley tried to calm everyone down. Hope, however, clapped her hands, laughing as she declared it "the funniest Christmas ever."
Elijah, still holding you securely, slowly lowered you to the ground. His expression was a mix of exasperation and amusement. "I think we may have caused a bit of trouble," he said, his tone light.
You couldn’t help but laugh. "A bit?" you echoed, gesturing to the glittering mess.
His hands lingered at your waist, steady and warm as you met his gaze. For a moment, the chaos around you faded. Elijah’s dark eyes softened, and you felt a pull so strong you couldn’t resist. Leaning up, you pressed your lips to his.
The kiss was soft and warm, a long-awaited moment that felt just as perfect as you’d imagined. When you pulled back, your cheeks were flushed, and Elijah’s signature smirk was firmly in place.
"I suppose toppling the tree was worth it," he said, brushing a strand of hair from your face.
"Completely worth it," you replied, grinning.
Kol groaned loudly from below. "Oh, for the love of Christmas, can you two stop being disgustingly cute for one second? Come help us clean up,"
Elijah didn’t even glance at him. "Perhaps if you weren’t so careless with your magical trees, Kol, this wouldn’t have happened."
As the family bickered and laughed, you stayed where you were, Elijah still holding you close. In the middle of the glittering mess, surrounded by laughter, love, and a little chaos, you realized there was nowhere else you’d rather be.
Bet (Klaus Mikaelson x M! Reader)
Summary: Thanks to your brothers, all you knew about the Mikaelson family was that they were dangerous and threatened your livelihood. However, when you're saved by the hybrid himself, he poses a bet to change your mind or be given insight into the cure.
link to part two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You paced the old parlor of the Salvatore boarding house, frustration bubbling inside you like an unwelcome storm. Damon had been shouting in your ear again, his usual rant about the Mikaelsons’ supposed evil nature still echoing off the walls. He was adamant: the Originals were nothing but a death sentence waiting to happen, and you needed to steer clear of them.
Stefan, meanwhile, had taken his usual route, trying to appeal to your emotional side. He claimed your search for the cure was pointless, a dangerous fantasy you needed to abandon. His eyes had softened, his voice dropping to that earnest tone he reserved for when he was about to say something ‘profound.’
“It’s over,” he’d said. “What we did centuries ago, what happened to you…it was for the best. We’re a family now.”
You'd barely managed to stifle your scoff. A family, he said. Easy for him to preach about family when he and Damon had been content to let Katherine turn them. You, on the other hand, had been set to marry Emily, a kind-hearted girl from town. All that was ripped away when your brothers decided to drag you into their mess, condemning you to an eternity you never asked for. You had lost everything. You hadn't chosen this life; it had been forced upon you.
“Look, little brother,” Damon had warned earlier that night, his eyes darkening as they flickered to yours, a flash of genuine concern slipping past his usual bravado. “Stay away from Klaus. He’s not the kind of enemy you can afford to make.”
“Damon, I’m not stupid,” you’d retorted, rolling your eyes in exasperation. “I just want the cure. If Klaus has any knowledge of it, I’m not going to let your paranoid warnings stop me.”
And that was why you found yourself in the woods outside Mystic Falls, pursuing the rumor that Klaus was near. Your heart pounded, a mix of anger and hope driving you forward. That hope turned into a nightmare when one of Katherine's minions appeared out of nowhere, tackling you to the ground. The stake in his hand glinted in the sunlight, aiming straight for your heart.
You struggled, trying to push him off, but he was relentless. Just as you braced for the end, there was a blur of motion, and your assailant was suddenly torn away. You gasped, scrambling to your feet as you saw Klaus standing over the broken body of your attacker. His eyes were cold, yet his posture was relaxed, almost as if saving you had been a minor inconvenience.
"You—" your voice came out rough, disbelief dripping from every word, "you saved me?"
Klaus tilted his head, eyes dancing with amusement. "Don't sound so surprised, love. Surely you didn't think I'd let Katherine have all the fun."
Your pulse hammered in your chest, more out of confusion than fear. Klaus, of all people? The monster your brothers had warned you about? The hybrid who supposedly wanted nothing more than to tear the Salvatores apart? You glared at him, trying to ignore the nagging questions in your mind.
"Why?" you demanded, pushing yourself to stand straight despite the throbbing pain in your side. "Why would you help me?"
Klaus stepped closer, his eyes locking onto yours with a piercing intensity. "Because," he said softly, his voice dangerous and smooth, "I have plans for you."
You tensed, instincts flaring again, but something in his gaze held you captive. There was a softness, a flicker of something deeper beneath the cold exterior. "Plans?" you repeated, the word bitter on your tongue. "Like what, adding me to your collection of enemies? Using me against my brothers?"
He laughed, a low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver up your spine. "So much suspicion. Your brothers really have done a number on you, haven’t they?" He took another step closer, his presence commanding and overwhelming. "But I assure you, my intentions are far more…personal."
Your stomach twisted in knots, both from his words and the weight of your brothers' warnings ringing in your ears. Klaus Mikaelson is a monster. He’s dangerous. Don’t ever trust him.
But here he was. Standing before you, having just saved your life.
"You expect me to believe that?" you asked, your voice harsher than you intended. "That you’re just here to help out of the goodness of your heart?"
Klaus smiled, his lips curling with dark amusement. "No, I expect you to listen. I know what you’ve been searching for—the cure." You froze. He knew. Of course, he knew. Klaus always seemed to know everything. But this was different—this was something you had kept close, something personal, driven by a desperation to reclaim your humanity.
Your mouth went dry. "What do you know about it?" you asked, voice barely above a whisper.
"I know more than you think," Klaus replied smoothly, his eyes gleaming. "But that’s not something I’ll simply give away."
Of course, there was always a catch. You crossed your arms, defensive. "What do you want from me?"
"Simple," Klaus said, taking a final step until he was just inches from you, his voice low and measured. "Spend time with me. Get to know me and my family. Let me show you that we’re not the monsters your brothers make us out to be. If, after that, you still believe we’re nothing but dangerous beasts, I’ll tell you everything I know about the cure."
You scoffed. "So, what—this is some kind of bet?"
Klaus's smile turned predatory. "Call it a wager, if you prefer. If I can’t change your mind, you get what you want. But if I do…" His gaze flickered over you, something unreadable in his eyes. "Then you’ll owe me."
"That’s it? You’re not going to force me into anything?" You raised an eyebrow, your suspicion still very much alive.
Klaus chuckled darkly. "I don’t need to force anyone into anything, love. I think, deep down, you're already curious."
His confidence rattled you. But beneath the fear and doubt, there was a flicker of something else. A sense of intrigue. Curiosity. After all, hadn't you already begun questioning your brothers' stories? You hadn’t expected Klaus to be anything other than a brutal monster—and yet, here he was, offering you a chance.
After a moment, you sighed. "Fine, I’ll take your bet. But don’t expect this to be easy."
"I wouldn’t have it any other way."
What began as a begrudging agreement quickly spiraled into something far more complex. Klaus introduced you to his family, and to your surprise, they were far more than heartless killing machines.
Elijah’s calm, noble demeanor immediately stood out. He was nothing like the vicious killer you’d imagined. And Rebekah—though quick-tempered and prone to impulsiveness—had a genuine vulnerability that reminded you of Stefan in a strange way. They weren’t monsters; they were people. Complicated, dangerous people, yes, but not the soulless creatures Damon had described.
Klaus...Klaus was the most perplexing of all.
He was still terrifying, no doubt about it—his temper as quick as ever, a constant reminder of the danger lurking beneath his every move. Klaus’s control over any situation was absolute, as though the world bent to his will, daring not to defy him. And yet, there was something about him that gnawed at the edges of the image your brothers had painted.
It started subtly, at first. His gaze would linger on you a fraction too long, his eyes softening for a moment before the familiar steely mask snapped back into place. In those rare, unguarded moments, you felt something shift—a crack in his unyielding façade, a glimpse of the man he might have been before centuries of betrayal hardened him into the creature he had become.
And then there were the nights when you found yourself alone with him, often under the most unexpected circumstances. Once, after a particularly brutal fight with Damon, you returned to the mansion bruised and exhausted. You had expected Klaus to gloat or mock your weakness, but instead, he was there, his presence both commanding and unexpectedly gentle.
You stumbled into the grand foyer, wincing with every step as pain radiated through your battered body. Klaus emerged from the shadows, his eyes sharp with concern. Without a word, he guided you to a nearby settee, his hands surprisingly gentle as he helped you settle.
"You should be more careful," Klaus murmured, his voice low and almost tender. He knelt beside you, his fingers brushing lightly over the bruise on your bottom lip. His touch was meticulous, almost reverent, and the contrast between his harsh exterior and this tender care was jarring.
You met his gaze, searching for the ruthless hybrid you’d come to know. Instead, you saw a flicker of something softer, an emotion you couldn’t quite place. “I don’t understand you,” you said, wincing as your words caused the sore area of your lip to tighten. “Why keep me around if this is all a bet? Why show yourself like this if I’m to be a pawn in your game? Don’t deny it, I heard my brothers speaking about how you plan to use Elena to get rid of your curse.”
Klaus’s expression hardened for a moment, the mask of his usual confidence slipping just enough to reveal the hurt beneath. He took a deep breath, his gaze intense as he met your eyes. “You think of me as nothing more than a manipulator, but there’s more to this than you realize.” Standing up, you watched as Klaus turned his back to you, in an attempt to hide his weaknesses.
“I didn’t plan for this to be a game,” he said quietly, his voice carrying a trace of regret. “My initial interest in you was strategic, but it evolved into something far more complicated. Yes, I need Elena to break the curse, but that doesn’t mean my feelings for you are any less real.”
“I don’t know what to believe,” you admitted, your voice trembling slightly. “Your actions are so contradictory. One moment, you’re this ruthless hybrid, and the next, you’re kind. I can’t make sense of it.”
“I understand your confusion. It’s easier for people to see me as a monster because it suits their narrative. But the truth is rarely that clear." You wanted to look at Klaus, so with much bravery, you stood up from the settee and walked toward him. His back tensed, yet you stood in front of him, his blue eyes darkened with a mixture of frustration and sadness.
"They call me a monster, a villain. And maybe I am those things. But I’m more than that. I’m someone who cares about the people I choose to let in." His hand hesitantly went to your cheek, and you couldn't help but lean into the touch.
"And you’ve…chosen me?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
A ghost of a smile touched Klaus’s lips. "Against my better judgment, yes. You’re unlike anyone I’ve ever met, and I’ve lived a long time."
The intensity in his eyes made your heart pound. You wanted to hate him, wanted to cling to the stories your brothers had fed you, but something had shifted. He wasn’t just some ancient monster; he was a man with desires, hopes, and wounds he kept hidden beneath layers of cold indifference.
"Then tell me," you challenged "Tell me the truth. Is there really a cure, or was this just some elaborate game to win me over?"
Klaus’s gaze darkened with an intensity that spoke of deep emotions. He took a moment, the silence stretching between you as if he was weighing his words carefully. “There is a cure,” he confessed, his voice grave and earnest. “And if you still want it, I’ll help you find it.”
You searched his eyes, looking for any hint of deception, but all you saw was an unfiltered sincerity that was both unsettling and reassuring. “And if I take it?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. “What then?”
Klaus’s expression grew somber, the lines on his face deepening with the weight of his emotions. “If you take it, you’ll be walking away from your brothers, this life…from me.”
The pain in his voice was palpable, but he didn’t try to mask it or push you towards any decision. There was no manipulation, no hidden agenda. It was a raw, honest confession from someone who had been playing a complex game but now laid his cards on the table.
You were taken aback by the contrast. If this had been Damon or Stefan, they would have tried to convince you to stay, to forget about the cure and remain by their side. They would have manipulated your feelings, used every trick they had to make you change your mind. But Klaus—Klaus was offering you the choice without trying to sway you. He was hurt, yes, but his respect for your autonomy was genuine.
“I… didn’t expect you to be so honest,” you said, your voice trembling slightly. “You’re willing to let me go, even if it means losing me?”
Klaus nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving yours. “I am. Because I understand what it means to desire something with every part of your being and to be willing to make sacrifices to achieve it. If the cure is what you truly want, then I will help you find it, even if it means saying goodbye.”
(Very short little piece but a small idea that kept nagging me)
The Colour In His Life
Elijah, Rebekah and Hayley made their way into the gallery, a sigh of annoyance and confusion on each of their faces, bare Elijah who remained unreadable as ever.
"I don't understand why Klaus wouldn't tell us he had a show on." Hayley muttered with a small frown and Rebekah hummed in agreement.
"He's usually all for flaunting his talents and what not." She scoffed as they made their way through the hall in an attempt to find him whilst paying the faintest attention to the paintings hung across each wall.
Both women stumbled slightly as Elijah's arms darted out to stop them all in their path. "What was that for?" Rebekah snapped, before following the direction of Elijah's eyes.
Klaus was stood with his arms round a young women from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder as they both started up at an abstract piece of art. It was difficult to hear much of anything over the chatter of the hall but Elijah was able to focus in.
"We should make another one just like this one." Niklaus murmured against her ear, his head turning to kiss the side of her neck as she squirmed and blushed red.
"That was..." She swallowed a lump, trailing off as he chuckled.
"A beautiful night." He purred against her. Elijah's eyes darted to the painting, this time realising the distorted hand marks and the way her hair must've sprawled over the paper in their...time together. He would have sighed but nothing was surprising for Niklaus, except that he'd been able to hide this new lover of his from them all for, by the looks of things, quite some time.
"We've been hovering here to long, people will start to stare at it too hard and figure it out." She whispered, Elijah could hear the gentle nerves and was surprised as Niklaus's hand took hers and interlaced their fingers, he was being comforting. It's nice to know he's capable I suppose. Elijah thought to himself.
He watched as they made their way to the next few paintings, listened to the girl praise and gush over everything Klaus had created. And yet, Niklaus did not gloat and his chest did not puff out as his ego was stroked.
No, Niklaus was only looking at her.
Elijah had not seen love on his brother too often, even over a millennia it had been rare for that feeling to be so raw that the naked eye could perceive it. But in that moment there was no doubting the feelings coloured across Klaus's features.
In silent agreement all three followed the couple at a reasonable but hearable distance.
The path seemed to wind a little, Rebekah's eyes narrowed as they turned corner after corner, Hayley narrowly catching the door that said employees only. Perhaps they were anticipating a confrontation by following them in but they quickly came to a stop. Going so far as to hold the breath that they didn't need as they hoped that Klaus wouldn't pick up on their presence.
Rebekah's eyes almost fell out of her head at he sight on her brother down on one knee.
The girl was in tears, her head nodding even as he continued his speech. Even after he'd pushed the ring along her finger and pulled her into his embrace.
"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" She chanted quietly, snuggling into him, pulling back only to kiss his mouth and reiterate her response.
Hayley's eyes drifted over the walls covered in familiar scenery, places in New Orleans. It quickly became apparent that they must have been special places to the pair, perhaps significant date locations. It melted her heart a little.
Thankfully Klaus was far too busy to notice them being their or the soft click of the door as they left.
Instead he focused on the bride to be in his arms all while his family sat at home looking to one another in some question of how on earth they had managed to miss such a huge thing.
"At least we know why he didn't invite us to his show..."
Ahhh your writing is just perfect! ❤️ I dare for another idea hehe 🫶🏼 just maybe something where you're dating but you get incredibly jealous as Katherine appears back in town and you know of their past. So you think it would be better to step back for a while but Elijah notices immediately and misses you as you not show up at any occurrence. He later finds you at the Grill, talking with the Salvatores about that topic and Elijah eavesdropped the whole conversation, finally realizing what's wrong with you and feeling bad for this to happen, as he only has eyes and feelings towards you. Then one night he invites you over to his house and tells you about his feelings and that you don't have to worry about Katherine as she's long forgotten to him and he proves that to you that night? ☺️ Ugh I love cute and fluffy Elijah !
Description: With Katherine back in town, knowing Elijah's past with Katherine brings some unwanted shades of jealousy to the reader.
Warnings: she/her pronouns, fluff, swearing
First Person's POV
Elijah and I currently sat in my favourite café, it was normally very quiet and once again today was one of those days. Elijah stared at me with admiration, he held my hand softly in his, rested small kisses on my knuckles and whispered words of devotion.
"I'm just going to run to the bathroom." Elijah nodded, resting another kiss on my hand and finally let me go off to the bathroom, I did what I needed to do and finally came back out. I stopped in my tracks, seeing a brunette talking to Elijah, he looked less than impressed, he looked pissed and I could only assume what that meant.
"Katherine." I simply stated, choosing to sit beside Elijah instead of across from him, the woman forced a smile to her lips the resting bitch look not fading from her eyes. I could feel this twinge of hurt and jealousy invading my being. Katherine took it upon herself to sit down and join us, Elijah let go of my hand and the once gentle and tender look that decorated his features was long gone.
"What was your name again...?"
"Y/n" I answered, hating the way she stared at Elijah, I knew of their past as Elijah had been quite open about his past relationships. Katherine nodded, shrugging and turned her attention to Elijah. I grabbed my things, kissed his cheek and pushed myself up to leave.
"Bonnie wanted me to do something, I'll see you later." Elijah nodded, staring at me for a moment, I walked out before anything could be said and made my way to Bonnie's house. I asked Bonnie to do a spell, something that would allow me to go under the radar and not be found by Elijah considering that I would be distancing myself from the love of my life to conceal the ugly green monster.
I had been cancelling dates, vague answers over the phone and would leave quickly with some bullshit excuse if Elijah appeared out of the blue. I could tell he could sense something was, I didn't want to mention that something was wrong and he hadn't questioned my actions.
Elijah's POV
Something was wrong with Y/n I couldm't place my finger on what it was, I couldn't understand what had happened and why she decided to almost disappear. I was missing her dearly, I missed seeing her smile, I missed her silly little jokes and her ability to make all my world seem so much better against all the issues going down. I missed her little rambles she would go on, the point is that I miss her and I don't know how to bring her back to me.
I had finally been able to catch the trail and follow her around, see if I could understand what was going on and it took me to the Grill. I stood near the bar, blending into the ground and proceeded to listen in on her conversation with the Salvatore brothers.
"I know it's silly of me but I can't help but be jealous."
"Come on, you know that the noble fossil wouldn't cheat on you." Damon remarked, a clear roll of the eyes that made Y/n whack him lightly.
"I being serious Damon! I know he has history with Katherine, when he was human he loved Tatia and then he found Katherine. What if her coming back brings back the feelings? I can't stand the idea of him leaving me for her and I don't want that to happen."
"Y/n have you tried speaking with Elijah? You know he'd hear you out and he'll be respectful of what you're going through." I let out a breath, I clenched my eyes shut, hating in myself for not reading the signs. If I knew sooner I would've done everything in my power to reassure Y/n that the only person my heart sings for is her.
"He's a 1000+ year old vampire, he has more important things than dealing with my petty feelings."
"Y/n listen here. Elijah worships the ground you walk on, he wouldn't think any less of you for worring about Katherine. We all know what Katherine is like and you have every reason to be worrying about it." Damon's response seemed to freeze her in her place.
"Thank you..."
Four nights later, I invited Y/n to come over, I will admit I was surprised when she agreed. We journed to my bedroom, she placed herself on the bed, fiddled with her hands and I took this as an opportunity to shut down the feelings of doubt and jealousy.
"Y/n the other night, I overheard you speaking to the Salvatores about what's been going on..." She buried her face in her  hands, looking ashamed and worried about what I could possibly say. I sat beside her, took her hand and cupped her face in my other hand to ensure she met my eyes.
"I understand your worries completely. I understand and I want you to know, that Katherine does not matter to me. She hasn't for 500 years. All I care about is you, no one else matters to me, just you. I love you with all my heart, I love your smile and your little jokes. I love when you leave me a note with a little picture, I worship the ground you walk on and I will go to hell back to prove that I love you as much as I do. I am awfully sorry that you haven't felt as if you could speak to me and I feel awful that this happened. But please, my love... know that I would never ever dream of breaking your heart and leaving you alone. You have my word, I promise you that I won't let the devil of a woman try and break us apart because she is long forgetten."
She took a few breaths, Y/n moved closer to me, rested a kiss upon my forehead and took a moment before finding the courage to speak.
"I am sorry, I'm sorry that I didn't come to you, I'm sorry I didn't allow you to know what was going on. It was fair of me to shut you out when you haven't done anything to warrent it. Please forgive me."
"There's nothing to apologise or forgive for. My love, let me prove to you my undying and everlasting love for you." Her shy little smile brought a smile to my lips, I cupped her face in my hands, bringing her in for a kiss and listened to her hum as I brought her into my arms for an embrace, Y/n took a moment to breathe and whispers softly into my ear.
"i love you, Elijah. I love you more than you'll ever know."
"I love you more my love."
First Person's POV
Late into the night, we lay in each other's arms, Elijah and I lay naked under the blankets. My headed rest on his chest, he took my hand away lying across him and brought my hand to rest a sweet and longing kiss against my palm. The action was enough to keep my smile stuck on my lips and it was enough for me to snuggle in closer to him with my hand resting in his and his tender eyes continuing to made me feel incredibly loved and devoted to.
Hello, do you think you could make one of the Mikelsoms' little sister and she is always attached to baby Hope?
Flufftober, October 21st
Baby Mikaelson sister reader x Hope mikaelson (and Hayley&Klaus)
A/n: Sorry for it being a bit of a shorter blurb. But I hope you like it nonetheless.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hi, Hopey" You whisper and drag over the footstool from the corner of Hope's nursery. The one year old looks over to you and gurgles happily to see you.
"Shhh. We don' wan' anyone to 'ome" You tell the baby as you swing your leg over the railing of the wooden crib. Quickly, you push off the stool and swing your body all the way over the crib and land beside where Hope's now sitting up.
You cuddle up with Hope in the soft blanket and you both snuggle together. Without making too much noise, you guys play your own little game you both made up with your guys' hands. It's basically just stacking them on top of each others until you both get confused and start over.
Before you realize how much noise you guys are making, you're both giggling like little machines. Which the noise draws in Hayley and Klaus from the hallway.
"What are you two troublemakers up to?" Hayley asks and leans against the crib railing.
The two of you look up from your guys' hands to the hybrid woman. "Mama" Hope says, acknowledging her first. "Hi, Baby Girl" Hayley's smile grows.
You look to the person beside Hayley when she picks Hope up. "Niky" Your face lights up. "Hey, Love" Klaus lifts you as well from the crib.
"Now what have we talked about climbing the stool into Hope's bed?" He raises an eyebrow. "Nofing" You hide your face in Klaus' chest.
"Oh, I believe you all right" Klaus says, smirking over to where Hayley chuckles.
You lift your head from your big brother's chest and then reach over to Hope, just like how Hope is doing to you. "Well, it looks like you two are inseparable today, huh?" Hayley smiles and motions Klaus to follow her into her connected bedroom.
He follows and places you on the bed beside where Hayley placed Hope in the middle. She places pillows around the both of you while Kluas brings the bin of toys from the corner of her bedroom next to the wardrobe.
He places it in front of the two of you, "Go for it, loves" He tells you guys and you both grab some toys out of the bin.
As you guys play with the toys, stacking them and building different 'worlds' on the bed while giggling and having fun. You guys never seem to get bored when you're together and Hayley thinks it's so wonderful it turned out to be this way.
Klaus and Hayley watch, leaning into each other, adoration adn love in their eyes. They haven't always been on the same terms, but now they've mostly worked out their issues for the two of you, (mostly is the key word).
