no but peeta was being a dick after the first games. yes it's understandable why he overreacted but it doesn't change the fact that he did overreact, and that it was him who created the distance between himself and katniss. which is exactly why he was the one to apologize (and another reason why the movies suck because his line if i stop acting like i'm wounded is changed into if you stop acting like i'm wounded).

#everlark #it's not that i think his reaction comes from cruelty or naivety #and at first you're confused #cause why is he even mad #he and haymitch started the whole bit #but then she saves him #that conversation before their first ''real'' kiss #when peeta says that katniss isn't doing him any favour by sacrificing her life for his #and katniss tries to use that as an opportunity to sell their love story and how she did because he matters #but then stops and fumbles because he does matter to her #because the love is real was always real #and what does peeta do?#he says (and this is so important) then i'll have to fill in the blanks myself #this is where he starts to see it as something more than performance #and then she almost dies for him #so he assumes she has feeling for him to #and he's not wrong #but katniss is confused and she has every right to be confused and it's not even that he thinks she doesn't #and then haymitch appears and makes everything worse and now peeta's doubting everything #now he's questioning everything to the point of being irational #was everything just a plan haymitch made and katniss knew how to follow #did she save him because she knew it would work or because she wanted too #and he knows it shouldn't matter and that he should be grateful but he's being selfish in this moment #and then he's also traumatized and scared and hurt and embarrassed #and nobody needs him right nobody needs him and nobody cares for him and nobody protects him - his family didn't his mother didn't #so why would katniss #he's worthless really and how didn't he see it coming he's supposed to be in control cool calm collected mild but he wasn't and that's scar #and now he sees that he's not being fair and it would really help if katniss was yelling at him and telling him how ungrateful he is but no #instead she's hurt and she's sad but now he's confused and maybe it's all just guilt but whatever it is it's already to late to fix it #so he leaves and vows to keep living as he always had - with a too comfortable of a distance from others cool calm collected mild

Julie

You have a rule. After one hour of studying you must cuddle for half an hour. Maybe sometimes the cuddle session lasts for a little longer. Maybe until the end of the date. And maybe it happens every single time you want to have a study date. But it's your fault for looking so attractive while studying. And it's also her fault for being so beautiful you literally can't take you eyes off of her. So yes, it's not a surprise that you always end up in each other's arms, notes all over the bed. And every five minute you tell her that you guys really should be studying right now. She answers with a "yeah, I know" and then starts talking about a completely different topic, and that shows, she couldn't care less. And if you want to be honest, you don't care about studying either when you're with her.

Natty

She definitely didn't come over to study. She swears she wanted to study too, but if it's true, it probably lasted for five seconds. Her "evil" plan is to make you only care about her. So she just happens to wear a top of your favourite colour with a pair of pants you complimented before. After ten minutes of studying she pretends she doesn't understand whatever you're studying so you'll have to explain it to her. As a thank you she will kiss your lips and then hug you, but she doesn't let go of you again. She just lays back on your bed, that you studied on until now, and tells you to just stay like that for a minute. You agree and that minute turns into an hour and the hour turns into more and more hours.

Belle

Did you say study date? Because all she heard was date. She can't stop looking at you and drowning you in kisses. She also talks a lot. Like a LOT. Even when you know you have to study because there is a big exam coming up and you tell her to calm down and actually study she just can't focus for more than five minutes when you're with her. And you wish it was bothering you but it isn't. You actually enjoy it and always invite her over to study, just to end up cuddling. And you always have to study late at night when she's gone because if she can't focus because of you, you can't focus either because she's there. And you wish it was bothering you, but it isn't.

Haneul

With her you can ACTUALLY study. For a while. She knows you take your studies really seriously and she tries her best to study herself, so she won't bother you. On the other hand, you do take your studies seriously but she just looks so cute when she's studying you can't help but press a kiss on her cheeks every now and then. Maybe sometimes on her lips too. She's just so cute, especially when she doesn't understand something, so you try to help her. And the smile on her face when she finally gets it is worth everything. After studying you always take a well deserved rest in each other's arms.

A, Bee, and Sea coming in clutch with some good advice, but it’s always easier said than done. Team finally found a place to keep him safe from his nightmares, but what if he ruins that by asking for something more of the relationship than Win is willing to give?

So he’s not ready to lay his heart bare and confess. But instead we do see him trying to convey his feelings more. He tries to address a source of his insecurity: how their relationship started. Lust does not necessarily lead to love. They’ve had sex more than once but what does it mean? I think he’s still afraid of the answer because he overheard Win say that he meant for their hook up to be casual. So he never finishes his question.

I thought that was going to be the end of it. But this boy still tries. He’s always been hesitant to show just how much Win means to him. But he’s doing his best to keep him, and so he tries.

And I love him for this. I love that we see him taking a step forward (no matter how small that step may seem).

Then at the end of the episode he asks Win to go see the Christmas lights with him (a date in my book especially since there’s two other couples having their Christmas lights dates). And he shows how happy he is when Win accepts, which contrasts with the beginning episodes where he is always hiding his smiles from Win.

TLDR: their relationship might feel like they’re moving at a snails pace, and they lack some communication, but there is some very satisfying progress imho.
