Is it weird that I don't trust Degesu at all? Not in the obvious way bc hes working for demons, but I just get the feeling theres gonna be *some* kind of evil twist with him sometime down the line. Maybe its because he follows a similar naming convention to Zamasu's name, maybe its because Kaioshin only end up in the Demon Realm if they're born fucked up and evil; and he's not "i like being bad >:)" like Arinisu is. I just got the feeling of "youre hiding something" when I saw him.

I mean, the character is designed to be suspicious. Even if he turns out to be a good guy, then that would mean he's been hiding something from the bad guys that he seems to be working for.

With Daima, the intrigue seems to be the main attraction of the show. This isn't like the Namek Saga, where all of Frieza's minions are too terrified to betray him, or the Androids Saga, where the villains were all very direct about their motives. This is why we have three main antagonists in Daima. They're nominally on the same side, but Gomah and Degesu are wary of Dr. Arinsu. Degesu seems loyal to Gomah, but he's playing the "Grand Vizier" trope to the hilt. If he doesn't have his own agenda, then the character is kind of redundant. Gomah could just do all his plotting and scheming alone.

I'm curious to find out how Degesu and Arinsu got to the Demon Realm. How long have they been there? Were they banished from the outer universe, or is this where they wanted to be? And how did they earn the favor of big shots like Gomah? But the answers to those questions almost certainly involve some twists and turns of their own. Their mere presence here implies some shady backstory. They're outsiders, but the Demons may think they can be useful, if only because they have nowhere else to go. But those kinds of assumptions have a way of going wrong.

So far, it looks like Gomah is something of a "useful idiot" for their manipulations. Degesu reminds him that he's next in line for the throne after Dabura's death, and it makes sense that he'd want to see Gomah installed as king. As his advisor, Degesu is more powerful serving under King Gomah instead of Prince Gomah or whatever he was before. And Arinsu's the one who planted the idea of taking action against Dragon Team. Gomah may eventually show more initiative as the story progresses, but right now they're playing him like a fiddle, and the only question is whether Degesu and Arinsu are in cahoots or not.

I wanted to add a transparent dragon for the "Paper" but with the slap effect and onomatopoeia, I felt like it would have been too cramped to add the dragon, even if it was transparent. Felt it would have been funny, the Dragon Paper.

Gomah is such an IDIOT. I almost feel bad for him djdjjd. Mate really went like hmmm. these guys are very strong, they could be a threat for me and my throne, maybe i should turn them into kids which won't make them any less powerful and will make them want to kick my ass, let them know who've done that so they are able to come after me, and also kidnapp one of them to make sure they do follow me and want to kick my ass even more. And he did all of this without seeing anything wrong with this plan. A genius
