I've wanted to do this meme for ages but now I finally have a comic that's been updating for long enough that it feels justified uvu There shooould actually be 1 more update before the end of the year, but I'm scheduling this before I forget bc im Like That cx

"Ok," Ackar replied.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, OK??" she immediately recuperated from her momentary trance to pierce him with a wide eyed glare: "I TELL YOU THE HOTTEST THING IN THE WORLD AND YOU JUST SAY, OK??"

"I'm pretty sure I can think of hotter things," Vastus yawned while Gresh elected to leave the house entirely to avoid the conversation.

"Like the sun," the Tapyri agreed.

"Or Tarix's tummy."

"Or lava."

"Or a good tongue?"

"Was about to say a grill, but that I can't deny."

"SHE CAUGHT A LIVE FISH," Kiina insisted: "SHE GLIMPSED IT IN THE STREAM, POINTED IT, DIVED IN, AND CAUGHT IT. WITH HER BARE TEETH."

"And?"

"YOU TROGLODYTES HAVE NO TASTE," she finally howled. She turned to Berix and Tarix, who had been blissfully unaware of the commotion due to working on dinner and were called to attention by her whistling in their direction: "I saw Gali catch a live fish out of a stream with her bare teeth."

"That's hot," the other two Gaquri agreed.

"SEE?!?"

"Hope I won't have to do that to get a child," was all Vastus replied.

Gali kicked her way into the room holding aloft a seven pound trout: "I caught this with my teeth!" she yelled giddily.

Her siblings erupted in various roars of congratulations.

"That's splendid!" Nokama clapped in very genuine awe and pride. "Please remember to knock next time. I think Turaga Dume is having a heart attack."

Kiina and Ackar sparring, a comic scene reinterpretation

This was the first time I tried to give Bara Magna inhabitants a more organic approach as it should be (I like the thought of Ackar having a beard) and I decided to use one of my favorite panels of the Bara Magna comics as a reference.

Now about the background... I was still working on that back then 😅

One thing I feel we absolutely got cheated on with bionicle, is that we never actually saw anyone get to enjoy that sweet post reformation peace.

Of course there's the inevitable confusion and mild chaos from two fundamentally different types of organisms trying to build a society from the ground up-

But I want too see everybody just... take up a hobby or passion project now that for the firts time in millenia, they can.

I want to see Hewkii organize the first Spherus Magnan Kohlii League.

I want to see Takanuva discover the joys of community theater.

I want Onewa to open a sculpture studio.

I want to see Whenua and Kiina go full indiana jones together because you know they'd do it.

I want to see Nokama pick up teaching again, not to keep any remaining knowledge from being lost to time, but to actually inspire students to learn and grow.

I want to see Jaller take his first Vacation in 1,000 years. Ackar too.

And for the Nuva, give them the time to explore and actually make hobbies to enjoy!

I want Nuparu to open up a workshop and become the Nikola Tesla of bionicle that he deserved to be.

Let Kongu start a darn gukko ranch.

Just, let them rest. please.

Oh, and Nuju should be followed by curious Agori kids who want to learn to speak bird.

This puts an interesting spin on Kiina's whole deal. She got permanently cut off from her home region during the shattering. She would have lost close friends and perhaps family when that happened, and wouldn't even have the closure of knowing if they were dead, or had somehow survived on one of the moons.

Kiina taking out her anger at the Great Beings and the Element Lords and the war and Bara Magna on him, Nokama blowing up about everything the Metru have been going through and feeling inadequate and blasphemous in this form: Where were you when I was new? Mata Nui doesn't understand but still offers comfort; they sink into it like stones, because what else can they do. They've waited to see a god for so long. It's alright. I forgive you.

A theme I just noticed in Toa teams; their forms change at least once

Like-

Toa Metru became the Toa Hordika (even if it's not permanent I'm counting it?

Toa Mata became the Toa Nuva

Toa Ignika became the Toa Mahri

Is this a common occurrence for a Toa team or?

(slowly glances at Ackar, Kiina, Gresh (maybe) Berix, Tarix and Vastus to see if this was ever planned for them)
