Tips for Kids Clothes Shopping in Paris
Shopping for children's clothes in Paris can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience with the right approach. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your shopping trip.
Plan Your Shopping Route
Paris is a large city with many shopping options. Planning your route in advance can help you make the most of your time and ensure you visit all the stores on your list. Consider grouping stores by neighborhood to minimize travel time.
Look for Sales and Promotions
Many stores in Paris offer sales and promotions throughout the year. Keep an eye out for these deals to save money on your purchases. The bi-annual sales in January and July, known as "Les Soldes," are particularly good times to find discounts.
Consider Quality Over Quantity
When shopping for children's clothes, it's important to consider quality over quantity. High-quality clothing tends to last longer and can often be passed down to younger siblings. Investing in a few well-made pieces can be more cost-effective in the long run.
Don't Forget the Basics
While it's fun to shop for stylish outfits, don't forget to stock up on basics as well. Essentials like socks, underwear, and plain t-shirts are always needed and can often be found at more affordable prices.
Enjoy the Experience
Shopping for children's clothes in Paris is not just about the purchases; it's also about the experience. Take the time to enjoy the beautiful stores, explore different neighborhoods, and soak in the Parisian atmosphere.
Conclusion
Kids clothes shopping in Paris is a delightful experience, offering a blend of high-end fashion, budget-friendly options, and sustainable choices. Whether you're exploring chic boutiques or searching for hidden gems, Paris has something for every parent and child. By planning your shopping route, looking for deals, and enjoying the experience, you can find beautiful and unique pieces that reflect the elegance and charm of Parisian style. Happy shopping!

sometimes I see vids of US highschools find their way to twitter and Europeans are like "you dress like this in public/to school??🤢 have some pride" and look there's a lot of things u can shame the US for but kids dressing comfy is not one of them lmao. because its giving jealous. how are you not jealous. I think you're jealous. "uniforms should be mandatory" it's socially acceptable to show up to school in sweatpants and slides and bonnets and you want us to change that to fuckin. mandatory khakis??? and you think that'd make kids happier??? whatever you say pal....
#senior year I dressed exclusively in sweatshirts tees and my baggy pants and I swear to GOD if I had#the extra burden of a fucking UNIFORM on top of everything it'd be the last straw...#I could also get into how ableist and classist and racist and transphobic the implementation of uniforms can#be but thats not as funny as dunking on random kids on twitter so I wont#to be clear: oh I hate defending the US online. fuck the US. but also take that enormous police baton out of your puckered up assholes plea

Why do people assume that kids can't be passionate about things?
Every time I see a video on instagram of a kid being passionate about something or good at something, the comments are full of people going "😢how sad, just let the kid be a kid😢"
Like, that kid is having the time of their life or is a fucking Oscar worthy actor.
Kids can have hobbies, kids can be good at things, and kids can care about things. And the fact that you don't think so tells me you don't know many kids.
And like, the conversation around kids on social media and the exploitation of kids on social media is a valid discussion to have, but it doesn't mean every kid with a passion is being forced into it.
#this was specifically inspired by max alexander#who if you dont know#hold the world record for being the youngest runway fashion designer#hes 8#and his instagram is full of videos of him sewing and designing#or showing off his designs#etc.#his parents said when he was 4 he announced that he was a dress maker and needed a mannequin#so his mom made him a makeshift cardboard mannequin and he started learning to sew#and he loved it and is very good at it#they started his Instagram account as a way to show friends and family what he was doing during lockdown#and he went viral#his mom has said they're still figuring out how to balance that#and that they're very careful with him online#and about how much time hes allowed to spend sewing and whatnot#so that it doesnt interfere with school#this is not a kid being forced to do something he doesnt want to do#hes just very good at something amd cares a lot about it#and got incredibly lucky#leave him alone

Not sure if anyone has ever thought up an Old West/late 19th century Cats non-rep, but boy, do I have a regional production for you:
youtube
There's a few other videos from the show on the channel, but otherwise I have no info about who staged this or when. I am incredibly charmed by the costumes, though.
#cats the musical#cats musical#cats non replica#macavity (song)#i'm almost tempted to reach out to the channel and see if they have more footage#these designs are honestly really great though -- i love gus' makeup and m&r's yellow plaid suits as well#oh yeah and tugger is dressed as a highwayman in all black. almost forgot about him#interestingly enough i haven't spotted an obvious old deut character though#but there are actual kids in the chorus which is adorable#very sad there isn't more available online#Youtube

People at the pool yesterday thought I was 13.
I'M GOING TO COLLEGE IN THE SPRING NOT ALL ADULT WOMEN HAVE LARGE BOOBS AND THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM!!!!
Like. I get it. I'm a very small, like 5'1 woman with a kinda high voice, I can still wear my training bras, (and do because bras are expensive, I tossed most but a few stretched out), and I don't act super crazy mature. I don't swear unless I mean it, and being ace I don't really go for people.
But I am not a middle schooler.
I am not a child.
I am an adult who looks young. That's not my fault. I'm not trying to "bait people" or "cater to weird men"
I just dress how I want, because I have lots of shirts that still fit. I have autism. I am not a child for wearing colorful and happy things.
I'm not a little girl. I am soon to be a college woman.
This frustrates me because no one seems to be able to tell my age until I say it myself.
I was born 3 1/2 months premature and until puberty I had delayed bone growth.
But I'm still an adult.
It's not my fault that I look young.
#shine post#vent post#sorry#im an adult#autism#just because i dress how i want doesnt make me a kid#people cant age bait you noodle#age problems#even worse its hard to say i like older looking men because i look like theyd get in trouble with the law for being with me#i cant really post pictures of myself online in any sort of grown up context or people will accuse me of lying about my age#i can vote!!#leave me alone

i know im not alone on this but i also know this statement is like waving a stick at a hornets nest. my overall memories and nostalgia related to hetalia are generally not bad and i think it may have saved a depression-riddled middle school aged me from being lured towards way darker and more mentally damaging content or online groups
#im dead serious like before that i was getting into creepypasta which. look im not one to say horror would make my little developing brain#disintegrate or anything BUT as an online community and a subculture of sorts i think it was far more of a slippery slope into#toxicity and extremism and most of all romanticizing/normalizing things like self harm and unhealthy eating habits and so on#despite what a lot of people say on this site it’s really not an evil and fascism-endorsing show or anything#it just has occasional jokes or concepts that are a bit distasteful– though from what I can tell alot of the ones people point out are#improvised bullshit lines made up by english dub cast members#anyway I won’t get into that whole rant but point is i am so so serious it could’ve been so much worse#the worst thing that came of being into hetalia as a kid was being more prone to finding stereotype humor funny#which im still like. I feel like was much more distasteful in 2012-13 youtube content. like WAY more distasteful#and rampant in general. so even in a show that’s built on stereotypes like hetalia it’s TAMER than the stereotype humor of the time in#a ton of mainstream media. big youtubers were still doing casual blackface back then man. 99% of hetalia’s stereotype humor is like.#canadians are quiet and nice. japanese politeness is to an extreme. germans are efficient. americans are loud and like burger#sorry I said I wasn’t gonna go into this rant so. I digress. I was just thinking about this cause I realized seeing hetalia fanart#generally makes me feel a good- or at least not bad- kind of nostalgia. which seems adverse to the show’s reputation especially on this sit#food for thought or whatever#kibumblabs#oh yeah I know why I started thinking about this- a drawing of seychelles came up on my dash and i can’t help but feel warm seeing her pop#up because she was the first real full cosplay I ever did for a big con. (with help) i hand-made the dress and everything. :*)

sometimes i really do want to study the flavor of intense misogyny from older folks, especially when it comes from older women, that assumes all women and girls are sluts and deviants because (checks notes) fashion trends, which the individual consumer has no control over, means that most people’s only options, especially in summer, are to wear somewhat revealing clothing. because it’s hot.
#how have you gotten to this age and gone clothes shopping and not realized the landscape#like i first became aware of this problem at age 12#i didn’t want to wear short shorts and honestly COULDNT bc of school dress code. but it was hard to find another option#enter those plaid bermuda shorts#and i can only imagine it’s 100x worse now in an instagram tiktok age than it was when i was that age#bc god knows I was embarrassed to wear those. felt like they were actively trying to be as ugly as possible#but for swim suits it’s a whole other can of worms#i currently do not own one bc i don’t want to get a wedgie every 30 seconds#two piece bottoms are all advertised as Cheeky. and i already know i have more ass than expected for my waist size#and the other option is. board shorts#but you’re going to blame the 14 year old for wanting to go to the pool??#‘and then they wonder why guys keep staring at them. where are their mothers i can’t believe they’re allowed out like that’#be so for real right now. they’re kids. they should be allowed to have fun and go outside without being creeped on#i always try to meet them halfway with ‘yeah it sucks that there’s not a lot of modest styles of clothes available’ and they’re just like#‘well EYE spent $100 at a specialty online store’ but these kids are going to forever 21 with cash from babysitting or whatever. try again#your single solution does not apply to everyone#like a LOT of it feels like projection. ‘i acted out as a teen so my daughter will do the same’#just not a lot of self awareness. combined with internalized sexism they’re not willing to question#sometimes when my coworker goes on one of her rants about how she’s glad she never had daughters bc of the Way Teenaged Girls Are#i want to be like. i wasn’t like that. your granddaughter isn’t like that.#i genuinely want to study these people. how did you get to this point
