This is a piece of concept art for an idea my fiance' (later husband) Kevin Paul Shaw Broden and I developed a while back called INSIDE CHRISTIAN'S LIFE. The lead character is a pastor's son named Christian, who also happens to be an artist. His drawings would help tell stories from the Bible intertwined with modern relevant happenings in his teenage world. Hopefully someday we get back to doing more with this. What kinds of creative stories do you find yourself inspired to tell?

“THE GIFT” IS BACK FOR PART TWO!

After taking a several month hiatus, Kevin Paul Shaw Broden and Shannon Muir have returned to present part two of the online graphic novel, “The Gift”. This 52 page issue, set in the midst of the band’s first holiday season, will reach it’s poignant climax during the later part of 2016 and into early 2017.

“Not only did we just need a break as creators to rest and recharge,” explains co-creator and writer Muir, “but for Kevin, this is equivalent to putting out about two of our regular 24 page online issues so it was good for him to step back a bit. He spent a couple months exploring other art styles and doing artistic research, which I believe allows him to come back to the Flying Glory universe with a fresh eye.”

For his thoughts, Broden shares, “I hated taking such a long break from our story, but now I am ready to return to our band of heroes.”

FLYING GLORY AND THE HOUNDS OF GLORY TO RETURN END OF FEBRUARY 2016

With the next two weeks largely unavailable to us to create new pages of the comic, Kevin and I wanted to make sure everyone knew that the next page will appear at the end of February 2016.

I - as the publisher-in-fact of the webcomic since its inception by virtue of acting as sole final editor and paying the hosting fees - am also taking this opportunity to make a long needed change to the website. When I first bought a hosting plan 15 years ago, e-commerce was in its infancy. I purchased a plan that would allow me to expand and build an e-commerce store if I so chose at a later date. However, with so much being done through e-commerce partnerships now, and never fully managing to do this on my own, I feel as a cost-saving measure that I need to downgrade the hosting plan.

As a result, there may be some blips in service as we transition to the lower plan with the same hosting company. However, the rate is reduced so much and I have been pleased enough with the service, that I have requested to buy two years of hosting as a dedication of our continued service to our readership. 

Please rest assured we plan to continue the story by the end of the month, and to continue to bring you the adventures of Elsie, Debra, and their friends and enemies for times to come.
