24. 51 Online Collaboration Tools to reinforce Team Productivity
Tumblr media
Working as a team is vital for any organization to succeed in the goals within minimal time-frame . However, all members of a team might not be performing from one office but could also be scattered in many parts of the world .
This can be really challenging when it involves collaboration including team communication, work flow and project management. There are many online collaboration tools available now which may be really handy during these times.
Even coming to office and starting our work on time also will enhance the team productivity. For this also there are many software which helps the manager to possess a track of the workers attendance and leaves taken by employees same of them are Manager's application where the manager can check out his employees attendance, leaves taken, he will also be able to manage shifts of his employee, GPS tracker if the worker is functioning on field.
Whether it's file sharing, documentation, design or maybe organized remote communication, there are specific tools which will make the work easy and more organized.

being wednesdays sister and everybody falling for you pt2
Tumblr media
parts: [1] [2] [3] [4]
_____________________________________________________________
kent knew he had to do something, to get everybody away from you. So he decided he was going to use his siren song
My jolly sailor bold
upon ones summer's morning i carefully did stray down the walls of wrapping where i met a sailor gay
conversing with young lass who seem'd to be in pain saying: william, when you go i fear you'll ne'er return again
my heart is pierced by cupid i disdain all glittering gold there is nothing can console me my jolly sailor bold his hair it hangs in ringlets his eyes as black as coal my happiness attends him attend him wherever he may go from tower hill to blackwall, i'll weep and moan all for my jolly sailor, until he sails home
Wednesday went away, telling you she would be back she just needed to tell thing about something.
Kent sang as he got closer to you. You looked at him and started to walk towards him. The closer you got, the bigger kent's smirk went up. What he didn't know was that the rest of the gang were glaring at him.
next he felt himself get pushed back into the lake, turning back into a siren. He saw you get out of your song, looking around confused. Wondering why you were going near the water.
How dare he use his siren song on (name)?!? rowan thought. He was walking past and got stopped by bianca and xavier. Later on enid and ajax cam and joined trying to see if they can get you alone.
once they did they were all going to talk to you until kent decided he wanted to use his siren song on you. They were so angry, because they wanted to earn your love by loving them back. Not by a siren song that will make you not trust them ever again. Rowan got so angry he pushed kent into the pond, stopping the song and getting you out of the song.
Then wednesday came out seeing her friends glaring at something in front of her sister.
" you all like my sister!?"

MLB x DC Universe Headcannons
I just love the idea of MLB and DC (expecially Batfam cuz Mari is such a Wayne) being in the same universe and crossing over. So one night, I just had an idea overload of different ways the Marinette would know the batfam/be a part of the DC universe. And if any of my shitty ideas somehow inspire or prompt you, then please be my guest. 😊 _
1) “Ladybugs of Past and Present”
Hippolyta, Wonder Woman’s mother, was once a previous holder of the ladybug miraculous. When Fu activated the miraculous and put them in circulation, Hippolyta could feel its magic waking back up. Knowing there must a reason for it to be out, she sent a message to her daughter. Diana searched, finding Marinette and Adrien as the present holders of the ladybug and cat miraculous. She vouched and brought them into the Young Justice program while they also made their own team, Project: Zodiac (or something like that).
[Sometime when Diana takes Marinette to meet Hippolyta]
“Great Hera, Tikki, you have not aged a day” -Hippolyta, cause she does know how to make joke.
“And I would say the same to you” -Tikki
“Mother, you can make a laugh?” -Wonder Woman, honestly a bit confused cause her mom have never not been serious before.
And Marinette is just speechless cause she’s starstruck meeting Wonder Woman’s mom AND a previous Ladybug holder.
_
2) “Rockstar Niece”
Jagged Stone is Marinette’s Sweet Uncle J. During the summers, Jagged Stone would take Mari with him on tour. HIs summer tours are throughout America, so Mari gets to sightsee the country. Jagged’s first tour that he gets to take Mari on (5-ish), he’s also booked for the annual (for whatever reason) Wayne Summer Gala. When Marinette meets the Waynes, they are so enamoured (Dick and Tim couldn’t help it) that they tell Jagged he’s always invited as a guest, Mari of course being added to the permanent guest list too. About 6 years later, Mari is practically adopted, spending the first half of her summers with Jagged, going to the Wayne Gala, then spending the rest of her summer with the Waynes. Overtime, she figured out the secrets of the family and was there to welcome Jason back from the dead (when that happens). Anyways, now 11(-ish?) Mari meets Damian and the two become good friends… after an… impressionable first meeting.
“Tch, let me guess, you’re another one of father’s adopted strays” -Dami
“YOU MUST BE DAMIAN!!! DICK TOLD ME ABOUT YOU!!” -Marinette, who just ignores what he said for a hug.
“hiiiiiiiiissssssss” -Dami, touchy with touch
“...” sprays water in his face since he decided to act like a cat.
“I say, Master Bruce, the children are getting along quite well” -Alfred
_
3) “Pen Pals”
Jon Kent and Marinette Dupain-Cheng are part of an international pen-pal program, starting when they were very young (maybe like 4 or 5-ish, super super young) where they told each other everything (Jon can’t just say that his older bro is a clone made from Superman and Lex Luthor’s DNA, or that his dad is Superman, or that his best friend is Robin, but yea. Lois and Clark probably proofread his stuff until he’s like 9) with pictures and everything. When they’re old enough to get phones & stuff, they call, text and vid-chat along with their letters (love without blood). When Mari is maybe 9-11 (somewhere around there) she starts flying over during the summers to hangout with Jon (and his friends and big brother). While there, she meets Kon, Bat fam, and Clark (some who she already knew, some who she didn’t) & lightly hints that she knows who all they are once she figures it out (it didn’t take her long to do so).
Now whenever she visits and is at Wayne Manor (Jon likes to have sleepovers practically every weekend) while they’re on patrol, Mari subtly messes with their minds (super subtle, they’re the world’s best detectives after all) until they finally look through the cams and see Mari giving them one of those smiles (those shit-grinning cause it’s just so hilarious how it’s gone on for so long) & and a playful wink.
[5 seconds later]
“Mari!” “Pixie-pop!” “Angel!” “Teacup!”
“Seriously, am I the only one with a normal nickname for her?” -Tim
“Ms. Marinette would like to inform you that ‘it took you long enough’” -Alfred (who so knows that the girl has been playing them since the third night she stayed at the Wayne’s)
“Where are my adoption papers?” -Bruce (who is seriously adopting any talented black-haired child)
_
4) “Mari and Mar’i”
When Mar’i is young, Dick and Kori take her with them to see Paris (btw, this would be during the winter). They’re strolling along through a park and lose track of Mar’i who finds Marinette (9-10 ish). Marinette comforts and distracts Mar’i while noticing the young(er) girl is Tameranian (her hair is very warm and she’s wearing significantly less layers than should be worn for a human of that age during the winter, plus that sun-kissed skin tone. She’s seen Kori in her fashion magazines (and, from time to time, on the news as an ambassador) so she easily make the connections). Dick and Kori finally spot Mar’i with Mari who introduces herself to them. Mar’i asks if she can see her “Auntinette” again and Marinette just goes “if your parents are okay with it.” Dick and Kori are totally cool with it (not many are willing to watch her and have the time to do it) so they ask Marinette if she can babysit Mar’i whenever (with good pay of course) if she’s up to it (cause she’s still pretty young). Marinette can’t say no to Mar’i’s babydoll eyes (and she’s so much easier compared to Manon, who’s only 2 rn), so of course, she says yes.
Now Marinette is Mar’is official babysitter and sees Mar’i often whenever her parents drop her off (using zeta tubes to quickly get to Paris and back). Marinette gets treated like an honorary Wayne (cause she’s the most responsible) and gets invited to their family stuff (w/ travel pay taken care of, of course). It doesn’t take her long to realize the fact that she babysits Bruce Wayne’s & BATMAN’S granddaughter, but of course, being the responsible one she is, keeps the secret… while also playing with them via Mar’i.
[One Day]
After Marinette leaves for her plane…
“Uncle Dami!”
“Yes, Spawn?”
“Auntinette said to tell you after she left that Robin’s sut needs a major upgrade & that you look like a traffic light… whatever that’s supposed to mean.”
[Another Day]
“Uncle Jay!”
“What’s up kid?’
“Auntinette said that to let you know that Red Hood doesn’t make any sense ‘cause Red Hood wears a helmet. Not a hood.”
[The next time]
“Uncle Tim!”
Yawn. “yea?”
“Auntie told me to give you this” (pulls out super caffeinated coffee) “and that Red Robin’s cowl is a menace to all things fashion”
[Again…]
“Daddy!”
“Yes, Starshine?”
“Auntienette said she’s proud of Nightwing’s costume ‘cause it’s one of the only in the batfam that isn’t an astro-city to the fashion society.”
_
5) “Marinette, the one who’s always getting chosen”
Before Mari became (becomes(?)) LB, she comes across a different powerful piece of jewelry, from a different order of guardians where her will of mind is not only her shield from being akumatized, but it is also what drives her powers. That’s right, Mari walks past a flea market and activates a GL ring. The guardians pick up on this activity and send Hal (it is his sector) to check it out. Hal finds the ring with Mari but it still needs the light of a GL to charge and fully work.
[During the explanation]
“Look, kid-”
“Marinette.”
“Look, kid, I just need to know why you have that ring.”
“You think I know? I was just walking through the market and all of a sudden, this possessed ring, if that’s even what this is, started following me, then zipped in front of my face til i held my hand up so it can put itself on my finger.”
“Kid-”
“It’s MARINETTE. Get it wrong one more time and you’ll see why I don’t need a possessed piece of alien jewelry.” -Marinette, making sure you get her name right. “Besides, if I stole it, I would remember. I’m a klepto” -Marinette, probably holding his ring too at this point.
Hal obviously doesn’t want the wrath of the Dupain-Chengs (just the kid Marinette scares him enough), so he tells the guardians that JL will take care of most of Mari’s training (once they get her a lamp for her ring, of course) & has her take part in training at Mt. Justice with the Young Justice team and special training with the Bats. Mari does all this under the guise of an international student exchange program for Mari to stay with the Waynes (not yet knowing that it’s the bat fam) and attends G.A. Mari doesn’t do much, but it takes her 24-36 hours to know who EVERYONE is.
[the next week after settling in]
“Hey, Mars,” -Dick, in his Nightwing gear
“Hey, Di-is the GREATEST SHOW!” -Mari, changing the subject(… not really)
“How long did it take you?”
“Not as long as the Kryptonians…” -Mari, going off into a tangent (still trying to change the subject”
[When Marinette meets Tikki]
Back in Paris:
“Sooo… I’m getting powerful jewelry that gives me powers and a suit, needs to be recharged, and comes from some Order of the Guardians? What’s the difference between you and my ring?” -Marinette, who at this point is very confused as to why she keeps getting picked on for this kind of stuff.
“One’s alien, one’s magic” -Tikki, hoping Mari will end it there & lowkey hates that the GL Corp. got to her first.
“They’re both non-human made energy sources” -Mari, cause once you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it all before.
“You can’t heal the Akuma without the miraculous, and there are more than just rings. Yours are earrings, there are hair clips, bracelets, necklaces and more” -Tikki, after having a minute to think
“Fine, only because you said they’re the only way to heal the, what was it again, akuma?”
_
6) “Their Unofficial Official Barista”
Part of Tim’s job as Co-CEO, is to make sure all the branches are running smoothly, sometimes that means he has to fly abroad to manually check in. Tim goes to Paris to check on the W.E. Paris branch. He goes to a nearby Patisserie (Tom and Sabine’s) to see a young Marinette (somewhere from 8-11) drawing in her sketchbook at the counter. She explains that her parents are at a catering event, but she’s there to man the little bakery. Tim asks for a super caffeinated coffee and Marinette makes it with ease, claiming it was on the house with how bad he looks (and how much sleep the man clearly needs). Tim begs for her knowledge and asks if she can teach his butler. Mari’s willing to show him the next time he comes, so he gets the whole fam to go (viz tubes so they don’t waste time) maybe a week later. Everyone gets their own drink (plus a free pastries) and Marinette teaches Alfred her coffee, but it’s just not the same so Tim, using the tubes, goes to get coffee from the girl whenever he can.
Mari is horrible at getting up on time (the life of an insomniac, never getting to sleep even if you want and then barely waking up on time) that she is up super early, makes Tim his coffee (plus a croissant) and tries to go back to sleep (making her inevitably late). Tim would walk up to the pick-up counter where his cup and to-go bag is while Marinette runs out of the house to get to school. Eventually, the rest of the Batfam (as well as the Laegue, TT, and YJ) frequent the place, slowly becoming (Dami too) Mari hides it, but she knew all the batfam the first day they came and she showed Alfred how to make the coffee. When the others start making more regular appearances, she learns the identities of YJ team, WW, GLs, and others. Obviously when LB and CN appear as heroes with HM as their villain, they immediately reach out to help. Because 1. Batfam clearly notices that it’s Mari and they sure as heck won’t let her deal with that by herself, and 2. The JL is worrying too much about their favorite barista (even though she’s not really one), especially with the Gigantitan scare. So, of course LB & CN (can’t make him bad everytime) get inducted into YJ.
[After Ladybug finishes defeating Gigantitan and detransforms]
“Bean! Are you okay? You’re not hurt, are you?” -Tim, being an even more protective older brother than Dick, which shouldn’t be possible
“Yes, I promise. I’m fine” -Marinette, who just accepts the fact that she’s adopted an older brother (and his famliy)
“Tube over, we’ll have Alfred make sure” -Dick, already pulling out the medical supplies for Alfred.
“I-”
“You shouldn’t worry your brothers like that, Marinette. Now come over so Alfred can clear you,” -Bruce, who just happens to overhear the conversation
“I’m sorry, Miss Marinette, they are very adamant that you’re in pitch perfect health before going out again,” -Alfred, who’s not actually sorry
“Fine” -Marinette, accepting her fate of her adopted, protective family.
_
7) “Thicker Than the Blood We’ve Shed”
Why is Marinette so freakishly strong? Because she was trained to be. Before she could even talk, Mari was taught to be an assassin. She and Damian were frenemies, both competing for top spot as best in the League (of Assassins). They often spared together and became rivals who pushed each other (which sounds great in that context if you forget about the fact that they’re killing people and turning it into a competition). When Damian’s care is turned over to Batsy, Mari also comes along for the ride. She implements herself into Dami’s classes at G.A. & watches him from afar. (Damian, not being an idiot, of course knows all this and knows that it’s probably for Mari to give a report to Talia.) When he becomes Robin, Mari obviously knows, but waits to see if anything drastic would happen (his care was given to the Batfam, they had already expected this to happen.) She then heard word of the bounty Talia put on Damian’s head. Marinette knew there wouldn’t be much she could do to help, but she ave Dami a warning about the upcoming situation before fleeing the country.
From there she got to France, changed her name (it wasn’t originally Marinette, it was Shénqí, chinese for miraculous/magical (or something else if you want)), was adopted by Tom & Sabine, and left her time in the League in the past. When she received Tikki, she didn’t want to be a hero because she didn’t think she deserved it after her up-bringing. Eventually, she did become LB (being a trained assassin does help with lucky charms, considering she was taught how to kill with basically every and anything), and life was good for her. Then Rossi came.
[Gotham field trip]
While at Wayne Tower…
“How idiotic are they?” -Damian, who after reuniting with his long-lost sister-from-a-different-mister (yes, Marinette was able to convince him to say it once), can’t understand the stupidity she has to deal with.
“Are you Robin?” -Mari, who is too tired, so just goes straight into the analogy
“Yes.” -Obvious and simply is.
“Exactly” -Mari, who can’t even put a limit to the amount of thought the one brain cell the class shares doesn’t use. I mean please, the so-called “reporter” believed that the first cosplayer she saw was the actual LB when they don’t even have the same hair! And let’s not forget the origins arc, where LB’s first citizen save was Chloe.

3 Preparations for Weddings Held Right After Lockdown We are not sure today when the vaccine is coming out for us, but it seems there will be relaxation for the lockdown. Couples may choose to get married right after the lockdown. It’s because baby is on the way, there is no other date the whole family can gather together or simply do not want to wait any longer because life is unpredictable. There are 3 things we would advise our couples to consider: Facial Accessories We have seen a lot of decorated face masks for grooms and brides. We do not know how you feel about it, as a lot of them are just decorative. Will you wear a face mask on your wedding day? If you are getting married in countries required you to wear face masks in public area, like Germany and Czech Republic, you probably cannot avoid wearing one on the day. https://www.facebook.com/TheSnapshotCafeweddingphotographervideographer/ Visor underneath veil and hair piece At the same time, you may have to expect vendors wearing face masks, since they may have concern not knowing if any guests and other vendors have the virus which are infectious. Risk Assessments Download the App and suggest the guests to do the same (which the local governments recommended the citizens to download). It would help everyone to identify whether it is safe to attend the event or better self-isolate. Simple 360 VR Broadcast Don’t need a few professionals, your photographer/ videographer would be able to handle it, just give them extra 15mins to set it up, but very easy, just need to pop it onto a tripod and set up the app Cons May need a dedicated person for holding the phone/ laptop if changing angles is needed If you have a large party, you may need a few accounts and a few devices for the live broadcast. Ecamm Live Instant sharing different graphics, stream videos and links with live picture-in-picture Support multi-cams Able to feed in Zoom Live on Youtube and Facebook platforms at the same time Canon camera user friendly We will keep an eye on the news and announcement and give you the latest suggestion and tips for your wedding preparation. #londonweddings #bride2021 #bridetobe2021 #2021bridetobe #2021bride (at Canterbury, Kent) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_4zi5RnrAa/?igshid=1nk766v4thxto

Joey Gatewood joins a lengthy line of Auburn quarterbacks to leave coach Gus Malzahn’s program. It was initially reported that Gatewood was considering leaving and didn’t attend Auburn’s practice Tuesday. Following the loss to LSU, Auburn stuck with the typical schedule of taking Sunday off, but Malzahn granted a second day on Monday before the team hit the practice field on Tuesday. Apparently, Gatewood was a no-show.
At just 16, Gatewood committed to the Tigers and held firm to that commitment, despite interest picking up in the quarterback with the Cam Newton-like build and skill set. Gatewood wasn’t the starter at Bartram Trail, but his physical tools earned him an Auburn offer as well as a four-star ranking as one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Gatewood redshirted in 2018 while sitting behind Jarrett Stidham. He appeared in the 2019 Music City Bowl, showing off his skill set against a hapless Purdue team that couldn’t stop Auburn all day. Then Gatewood battled the eventual starter, true freshman Bo Nix, well into this summer and fall.
From the beginning, Gatewood’s use was something of an interesting story. In his limited time, Gatewood was 5 of 7 passing for 54 yards and two touchdowns with 29 rushes for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Then Bo Nix’s first road start at Florida was disastrous as he threw three interceptions and was held to around 150 passing yards, raising questions about coach Malzahn’s game plan. The turning point was likely the loss to LSU as Auburn had a goal-to-go situation and Gatewood was clothes lined by Malzahn as he ran onto the field and held back. The play was a quarterback draw, and Nix was stuffed for a loss. The sequence of events was criticized heavily in the following days.
Nix’s performance at Florida could be explained away as the struggle of a true freshman in a hostile road environment, but Malzahn promised that going into the LSU game that the team was prepared for another tough environment. Instead, Auburn had four false starts and a snap over the head of Nix. That bad snap led to another center change in midseason, something that has become a staple of the Malzahn era. Along the way, Nix became completely lost in the passing game, which led media and fans to question just how bad Gatewood had to be throwing the ball not to get the nod for more playing time. When asked if a quarterback change had been considered, Malzahn was emphatic that it had not. Following the game and his comments, it seemed to be inevitable that Gatewood would follow the path of almost every backup quarterback coached by Mahlzahn.
There are some common themes over the years. The first is that Malzahn refused to open the playbook for his backups when they made rare appearances. In addition there’s the knock over the years of backups not being unable to absorb the playbook.
Transfers are becoming more and more common under the new transfer rules, and they seem to be becoming at norm at Auburn and other schools.  Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson, to name a few, have had a revolving door at quarterback. The difference is that their transfers have left the respective programs to become starters elsewhere, although there have been some exceptions.
What is dissimilar is that the transfers from these schools become better off at their new location, For example, Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts are in Heisman contention. Meanwhile, their replacements are playing at high levels, even as true freshmen. None of this has happened under Malzahn.
It has become old news that Malzahn has yet to recruit a player and competenly develop him into a legitimate quarterback. Furthermore Malzahn cannot keep quarterbacks on campus. With the exception of Chris Todd, Cam Newton, Nick Marshall and Jarrett Stidham, all of whom were transfers, the following quarterbacks recruited by Malzahn had limited success:
Barrett Trotter: Cam Newton’s backup was named the starter in 2011 but was replaced by Clint Mosely. Trotter came into the bowl game against Virginia and was stellar. He called it quits as a player after that game.
Clint Moseley: Replaced Trotter for about half the season in 2011. When Malzahn took over in 2013, Moseley quit football altogether.
Kiehl Frazier: Highly touted prospect, USA Today player of the year. He was the 2012 starter but threw just two TD’s and 12 interceptions. He made the move to safety when Malzahn came to town and eventually transferred to Ouachita Baptist.
Jeremy Johnson: Nothing needs to be said about the story of Jeremy Johnson.
Sean White: Much the same story as Johnson, however, White was dismissed from the team.
Zeke Pike: Four-star recruit, had many run-ins with the law. Never saw the field for Auburn and transferred to Louisville where he became a tight end.
Tyler Queen: Three-star recruit, battled injuries, never played for Auburn and transferred to West Georgia. Like Pike, he elected a swap to tight end.
Jason Smith: Four-star recruit, went the JUCO route, moved to WR where he wasn’t a factor in his time at Auburn
Woody Barrett: Four-star dual-threat recruit. Never played for Auburn and now is a backup QB at Kent State.
John Franklin, III: Battled for the QB spot, made a few starts. Was ultimately not the runner many hoped he would be and was a complete liability throwing the ball. He has made his way in the NFL by playing defensive back.
Malik Willis: After being good as Jarrett Stidham’s backup, many believed that the reins would be handed to Willis. He looked every bit the player that Nick Marshall was, but his second year as backup was plagued by Malzahn’s complete mistrust of him. When Nix and Gatewood battled it out for the starting position, Willis transferred to Liberty.

1951 Chevy Custom Packs Plenty of Allure
Inspiration arrives on a doorstep in many different forms, especially when it’s attached to a vintage V-8 rumbling through a dual exhaust. Many times it’s as simple as sitting on a front porch as the latest muscle from Detroit rolls by or a visit to an automotive event sparks a thrill causing you to delve deeper into the culture.
For Wayne Earle of Goulds, Newfoundland, Canada, it all started with a stop at the Spencer Speed Bowl in his hometown to watch the Demolition Derby. The intoxicating combination of cars on the track vying for the big win accented by the roaring crowds brought with it a whole new level of adrenalin he had never before experienced. This ignited a new interest in racing, which led to building a car and successfully competing on the dirt track at Avondale Speedway.
At the same time, Wayne’s interest in vintage steel came full-circle, starting with a hopped-up 1967 Pontiac Firebird. This acted as a springboard to a long list of vehicles, ranging from early hot rods to muscles cars and even classic trucks, all built in his home garage with the help of many of his local hot rodding friends. Along the way, he developed a deep appreciation for traditionally styled customs while attending a number of national events and cruise nights. During one particular visit to the Atlantic Nationals in New Brunswick, he attended Cool Car College, where well-known custom car builder Kent Writtenberry of Kentz Kustomz from Gasburg, Virginia, was conducting a metal fabrication demonstration. Later that day he came face-to-face with Writtenberry’s alluring candy-coated 1951 Chevy, which had appeared in the pages of STREET RODDER. Soon after, the pair met to discuss getting together on a potential build. They shared many of the same ideals on what would make a cool custom, and a deal was made to start looking for a suitable base.
After returning home, it wasn’t long till Writtenberry discovered a derelict 1951 Chevy coupe resting in a farmer’s field not far from his shop. The car had seen better days, however its bones were solid, making it a perfect foundation. Exercising creative restraint is essential in designing a mild custom ,where blending subtle degrees of style elevates it to a new level. Knowing when too little will make it fall flat and too much might make it painful to look at, that’s the real magic in attaining a perfect balance in restyling a car. Once back in the shop, the Chevy was torn down to commence the build.
For a solid base, the original frame was blasted clean, boxed for added strength, and treated to custom crossmembers. It was then Z’d 4 inches fore and aft to allow a nailed-to-the-ground stance. Out back a Chevy 8.5-inch rear spins 3.73:1 gears and is suspended in place by a custom four-link by Writtenberry combined with Firestone ’bags and Monroe tube shocks. Up front, a Chevy S-10 front IFS clip was grafted in place, featuring modified upper and lower control arms, Firestone ’bags, and Monroe tube shocks. When it’s time to drop anchor, a Speedway Motors dual-power master pushes fluid through stainless lines to 11-inch vented GM discs and calipers at each corner. Linking it all to the street are a set of factory 15-inch steelies wearing Coker Classics accented by early ’60s Dodge Polara-styled caps.
To ensure plenty of dependable cruising, Writtenberry assembled a stout Chevy 350ci V-8 starting with a refreshed block. He packed it with a factory crank and rods wearing Keith Black hypereutectic pistons getting a bump from a COMP Cams stick. A set of warmed-over factory heads make seamless power especially when matched to an Edelbrock Performer intake breathing deep though a Holley 650cfm carb topped by a 1955 Cadillac air cleaner. An MSD ignition lights the fire while spent gasses dump through a set of Speedway Motors headers to a custom exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers, exiting through the rear bumper. A TH350 trans by Writtenberry moves the goods to a custom driveshaft to complete the link.
Once the body was stripped, it revealed the truth of sitting in a field for decades. Writtenberry started by first by addressing all the areas requiring attention, including replacing the rockers and finessing all sheetmetal panels. Then the magic started by designing a custom grille filled with 1955 Corvette teeth, frenching the headlights, and shaving the hood. He then added dual frenched antennas to the rear quarter-panel, flipped and frenched a pair of 1954 Chevy taillights, and wrapped it up with a custom rear bumper. The body was then gapped and made razor sharp to prep it for paint. Wanting to add plenty of glamour, Writtenberry loaded his spray gun with PPG Crystallance Sun Kissed gloss and laid down the vibe. He followed, working with Kevin Pettit, lacing the roof with custom candy inlays to add the final touch.
In bringing just the right amount of elegance inside, the factory dash was filled with dials from Omega Kustom to monitor the vitals accented by custom dash pods to cradle gauges monitoring the air ride. A reworked 1960 Chevy steering wheel mounts to a tilt-column from Speedway Motors while shifts move through a stick from Lokar. To bring it all to life a Speedway Motors wiring kit was installed and a Pioneer/JBL sound system adds tunes to fill the cabin. For plenty of comfort the factory seats were covered in a soft tan and crème leather accented by traditional rolls and pleats by Ed Humphries of Matoaca, who also added the matching side panels, headliner, and tan loop carpeting. We hear that Wayne is already racking up the miles on the streets of Newfoundland, and to us that’s just plain bitchin.

29th October 2017
DA HENNIE
Shetland. Women. Friendship. Three of my favourite things, now in one song.
In life, when times are hard, when the chips are down, when all hope is seemingly lost, a glimmer of optimism is usually just about discernible. For at those times, there’s often one woman, and sometimes several, working their quiet magic. They’re seeing despair for what it is, recognising its impermanence, and forging a path out of blackness. Their tools are communication, understanding, empathy, comfort, kindness, courage and determination. Their work never ends and it makes the world go round. Really it does.
I’ve long wanted to write a song which celebrates the extraordinary and often unrecognised strength of women. As usual, I’d already encountered what I was looking for in Shetland. I’ve known Mam’s friend, Laureen Dalziel (pictured below), for more than twenty years and, in that time, she’s always spoken of ‘Da Hennie’ group to which she belongs. It turns out that this is a pretty special thing.
Tumblr media
For almost sixty years, a group of Lerwick and Scalloway women have met every week in each others houses for supper and a news. These gatherings began in 1960 when members were in their late twenties or early thirties, and they continue to this day. Meetings take place on Thursdays from 8 to 11pm and the group currently numbers six, with some previous members having passed or moved away. Nights together involve catching up on news, enjoying supper and home bakes, and savouring a drink or two.
Tumblr media
Da hennie kindly allowed me to attend their Thursday 28th September meeting in the knowledge that I was keen to discover whether their story would make a song. I took my laptop, camera and phone along to capture the spirit of the event and they welcomed me just as warmly as I expected. Hennie stories were told over gin and tonic, sausage rolls and a fabulous tiramisu cheesecake made by hostess, Jean Bolt (pictured below).
Tumblr media
With quiet pride, Jean showed me her photo albums dedicated to hennie gatherings. These women really have faced life together; births, marriages, deaths, work, education, challenges and good times. They've seen their little town and its 7500 residents weather all sorts of socio-economic change and they contextualise events with clarity and wisdom. Throughout the evening I wondered at the simple grace of their communication, their worldly sensitivity and the way in which they create space for each other. The support in the room was palpable.
Tumblr media
Despite fifty years of separation, their younger lives weren’t so different from those of my generation. Managing work commitments alongside marriages and childcare was a recurring theme for these women as much as it is today. Avyrill Mair (pictured below), for example, worked from home in running her taxi firm.
Tumblr media
Our evening was pleasantly unstructured and all too soon drew to a close as the group’s recollections reached the present day. Right on cue, Thelma Malcolmson (pictured below), said something which summarised da hennie beautifully; ‘If we need, we shout.’ How true of womankind at its best.
Tumblr media
With a month of perspective on events I wrote these lyrics last weekend and created a tune today which I’ll record with Robbie Leask on Wednesday and publish on the soundcloud site soon. It’s a departure from my usual melodic style but hopefully captures the spirit of these quietly remarkable ladies.
DA HENNIE
Thursday nights ir diamonds A jewel atae wir weeks A dram, an supper too A time ta gaff an sheeks For sixty years wir met Wis six, an idders too Eight o clock’s da keek aff O tree oors o ‘whit’s new?’

Crystal Ball: A Quick Prediction Of The Falcons’ Next Season
Tumblr media
Mike’s Crystal Ball Predictions
What better time to try and predict the future than two and a half months before the Falcons’ season kicks underway? One of the silliest rituals of preseason wizardry as the experts’ viewpoints can’t be considered anything but justifiable guessing at best. Nobody knows where final rosters will stand when playing schedule predictor so far in advance.
Injuries, of course, play a huge factor as well come game day, but let’s throw a few darts and see what sticks. If anything the win/loss game enables Falcons’ fans to circle a few doozies on the schedule that they most look forward to.
AROUND COVER32
Around the NFL: Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill and Marcus Peters come in 36th and 32nd on NFL Network’s Top 100
What’s Trending: Chargers and Philip Rivers wave goodbye to San Diego
Player Spotlight: Tedd Ginn’s stats show a big year could be on the horizon in New Orleans
NFL Reaction: Unpacking the Cleveland Browns’ QB situation
2017 Season: How J.J. Watt’s return impacts the Texans this season
Week 1 – Falcons at Bears
This would appear to be a perfect opponent to kick off the regular season. There’ll be a new quarterback for Chicago regardless of it being Mike Glennon’s team or rookie Mitchell Trubisky’s. Either will be throwing to questionable wideouts. I’d much rather play on the road in Chicago in September, as opposed to December, that’s for sure.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 2 – Packers at Falcons (Sunday Night)
The NFC Championship rematch as well as the regular season home opener of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Last time Falcons’ fans saw Mr. Rodgers, it was anything but a “beautiful day in the neighborhood.” Let’s hope for more of the same from the fast and physical Falcons’ defense.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 3 – Falcons at Lions
Detroit was very fortunate in 2016 with a handful of come from behind, late game victories. I say the law of averages catches up to them in 2017, and, more importantly, they come up short in this one versus the Birds. Here kitty, kitty.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 4 – Bills at Falcons
New coach for Buffalo and a familiar foe to Falcons fans’ as former Carolina defensive coordinator Sean McDermott takes over as head coach of the Bills for Rex Ryan. Remember when some fans wanted Rex Ryan as coach of our Falcons? Quinning! And now Rex is part of Bills’ mafia, or a TV gig, I can’t remember.
Prediction: Falcons win
  Week 5 – Bye Week
Some R and R after a 4-0 start.
Prediction: Falcons’ players win
Week 6 – Dolphins at Falcons
Like shooting “fish” in a barrel. A home game coming off the bye week is normally a recipe for success. The Falcons need to avoid looking ahead to next week’s opponent.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 7 – Falcons at Patriots (Sunday Night)
Super Bowl LI rematch. The talk will be nauseating leading up to kickoff. No need for extra motivation in this one. Let’s unleash and unload the full arsenal on both sides of the ball. Payback.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 8 – Falcons at Jets
I’m not sure the Jets can field a team with all their recent cuts. A full rebuild is underway in New York.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 9 – Falcons at Panthers
First division game of 2017 for the Falcons. Crazy scheduling to have that happen. We’ll most likely see Stephen Curry in attendance banging the “keep pounding” drum and here’s hoping the Falcons do exactly that to Cam and company.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 10 – Cowboys at Falcons
Year two for Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. They made it look awfully easy their rookie seasons. My guess is the league adjusts somewhat and they’ll be in for a battle in the NFC East. Don’t be surprised if Jerry steals some of the concepts from the beautiful new Mercedes-Benz Stadium after seeing Arthur’s World first hand.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 11 – Falcons at Seahawks (Monday Night)
The undefeated regular season comes to an end at no fault of the Falcons. Great Monday night matchup that will leave NFL fans rooting for a rematch come the postseason.
Prediction: Falcons lose
Week 12 – Buccaneers at Falcons
Everybody’s favorite playoff dark horse. I do view the Bucs as the Falcons strongest competition within the division. A couple of shiny new toys for Jameis Winston that the Falcons will have to contend with, in DeSean Jackson and OJ Howard. It won’t be enough for them to overcome.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 13 – Vikings at Falcons
No more AD, Adrian Peterson, for the Vikings, but Falcon fans will see him soon enough (twice a year now actually). The Viking D makes them a contender and no push over. I’m still not sure I buy the Sam Bradford experience, and I think fans will be rooting for a repaired Teddy Bridgewater to one day recapture the starting role eventually.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 14 – Saints at Falcons (Thursday Night)
The swamp people invade Georgia. How much longer does the Brees/Payton combo have?  As many points as the Saints are capable of putting up on offense, their defense is capable of giving up double.  Patchwork D and yearly salary cap restructuring is not a recipe for prolonged success.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 15 – Falcons at Buccaneers (Monday Night)
A nod to the schedulers for this one as I predict this will be the game to determine the NFC South champ. Bucs have a nice mix of talent, but this Falcons team is on a mission. There will be no plank walking for the Falcons as they complete their regular season goal of back to back NFC South titles, while also positioning themselves for a bye week come the postseason.
Prediction: Falcons win
Week 16 – Falcons at Saints
Here you go Saints fans, enjoy. You get a win in a meaningless game for the Falcons as they turn their attention to playoff preparation. Real question, did the Saints avoid another 7-9 campaign?
Prediction: Falcons lose
Week 17 – Panthers at Falcons
Superman flies in to close out the regular season schedule, but we have our own Bird of Steel. The giant Falcon statue frightens Cam enough for him to remain in his alter ego disguise as Clark Kent. The Panthers drop both contests versus the Falcons in 2017, and begin their offseason early.
Prediction: Falcons win
That wasn’t so hard and I think all Falcons’ fans would take a 14-2 regular season record. Get your popcorn ready as we await the real fun in the postseason tourney. Rise up!

Who’s in the mix for round two?
Crows skipper Taylor Walker is set to return from a hamstring injury to the lead the side to face Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday. Walker was a late scratching for last weekend’s season opener against Greater Western Sydney. Key defender Jake Lever is also set to play his first senior game of the season. Lever missed the JLT Community Series with a hamstring injury, but got a run under his belt in a SANFL trial last weekend, finishing with 19 possessions and seven marks against Woodville-West Torrens. Veteran Scott Thompson had 14 disposals playing in the midfield and across half-back in his return from a shoulder injury. Uncapped midfielder Harrison Wigg continued to press his claims with 28 possessions. – Lee Gaskin
Following a first-up win against Gold Coast, Chris Fagan will be reluctant to make too many changes ahead of Saturday night’s home match against Essendon, but he has one tough decision. Jack Frost is available after serving a one-match suspension, but squeezing him in past one of Harris Andrews, Dan McStay or Darcy Gardiner would be difficult after they performed so well. Perhaps a small defender will make way and McStay can swing forward. Hugh McCluggage (ankle) and Josh Schache (knee) did not play NEAFL at the weekend and will likely need at least one game at the lower level before being considered. – Michael Whiting
Young key forward Harry McKay staked his claim for a senior debut with a four-goal display in the Northern Blues’ practice match against Richmond last Thursday. McKay, pick No. 10 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft, played in two JLT Community Series games after an injury-interrupted 2016 season. Nick Graham (18 disposals and a goal) and Rhys Palmer (15 disposals) performed well in the midfield to put themselves in the frame for selection. – Howard Kotton
Harry McKay has put his hand up for a round two berth. Picture: AFL Photos
Livewire forward Jamie Elliott has been ruled out for another week, with the Magpies deciding not to gamble on his lack of match conditioning for the clash with Richmond at the MCG on Thursday night. A one-match suspension to Travis Varcoe will force the Magpies to make at least one change to the team that last week challenged the reigning premiers, the Western Bulldogs, and the most likely replacement would appear to be either James Aish, who was a late withdrawal last week with illness, or fellow midfielder Tim Broomhead, who was an emergency. Other candidates who performed strongly in a VFL practice match against Footscray include ex-Demon defender Lynden Dunn, fellow backman Matthew Scharenberg, father-son draftee Josh Daicos and exciting forward Kayle Kirby (three goals). – Ben Collins
It is hard to see the Bombers making too many changes to their round one side, which was too strong and too quick for Hawthorn at the MCG. There is much stronger depth at Essendon this season than in recent years, so if a Bomber or two are struggling to get up after their big hit-out then there should be some ready-to-go replacements. Ben Howlett and Heath Hocking missed selection last week but could come in against the Brisbane Lions, while James Stewart, Jackson Merrett and Josh Begley won’t be too far away from selection. Tom Bellchambers is continuing his comeback from pre-season knee surgery, but might need more match practice before being available for the top level. – Callum Twomey
Tom Bellchambers would be a surprise pick for the Dons this week. Picture: AFL Photos
Ross Lyon didn’t want to talk selection in the aftermath of Freo’s loss to Geelong, however Matt Taberner could be an option to try to boost the Dockers’ firepower after bagging five goals from 20 possessions for Peel against East Fremantle. Lyon conceded performances at WAFL level needed to be viewed in the context of a thumping 86-point win, but Harley Balic (33 disposals, one goal) continued his good form to keep his hand up for a debut. Smooth-moving Ethan Hughes offered plenty of rebound from half-back – an area the Dockers struggled in with their stagnant ball movement against Geelong – from his 14 kicks. Hayden Crozier kicked two goals for Peel but was quieter than in the Thunder’s opening round win over East Perth, while Tommy Sheridan could come into consideration after being held over as the Dockers’ emergency on Sunday evening. – Travis King
A thumb injury is the latest hurdle for Nakia Cockatoo, with the young midfielder set to miss up to a month after surgery this week. Cam Guthrie will be tested this week after failing to overcome calf soreness for Sunday’s clash with Fremantle, while Zac Smith is a chance to play after soreness forced his late withdrawal from the round one team. Darcy Lang impressed in the VFL and will be in contention, along with Sam Menegola. Aaron Black and Jed Bews kicked two goals apiece in the VFL and have also pressed their cases. – Jennifer Phelan
It’s an interesting week at the selection table for Rodney Eade after the Suns were beaten by the Brisbane Lions. David Swallow was a late withdrawal with an ankle injury, but is expected to be available to play Greater Western Sydney on Saturday afternoon. He’ll likely replace Pearce Hanley, who is on indefinite leave, attending to a family matter in Ireland. Will Brodie and Brayden Fiorini may also come into the reckoning after strong pre-seasons and excellent performances in a NEAFL practise match at the weekend. – Michael Whiting
A hamstring injury for Tendai Mzungu could see young midfielder Jacob Hopper play his first senior game of the year. Hopper has had an interrupted pre-season after undergoing heart surgery late last year, and the Giants have taken it slow with the 20-year-old who has also had some lower back issues. Defender Nathan Wilson was a surprising omission from the Giants’ round one side that lost to Adelaide, and should be a big chance to face Gold Coast, with his speed and foot skills from the backline sorely missed last week. Harrison Himmelberg is another defender who will be looked at, while forwards Sam Reid and Daniel Lloyd, who were added to the senior list last week, and draftees Will Setterfield and Harry Perryman, might also be an outside chance. – Adam Curley
Luke Hodge will be back this week. With his one-match club suspension now served he will make a timely and welcome return to a side that missed his leadership and composure against Essendon last week. One thing the Hawks appear to have in their favour is almost a full list to choose from, with the mercurial Cyril Rioli expected to overcome a corked thigh that hampered him through much of the loss to the Bombers. Team selection will be interesting. Do the Hawks recall key defender Kaiden Brand to help deal with the tall and potent Adelaide forward line? What about Brendan Whitecross for some extra toe in the midfield? And surely the likes of Teia Miles and Kade Stewart will soon be rewarded for their strong summers and the exciting Ryan Burton earns a recall. – Ashley Browne
Melbourne may be forced to make two changes to the team that had a commanding 30-point victory over St Kilda in round one. As reported by AFL.com.au, young defender Joel Smith is set to be sidelined for up to four months after having shoulder surgery on Tuesday, meaning there is a spot open in defence. Important defender Bernie Vince is also out, after he accepted a one-match ban from the Match Review Panel for striking Nathan Wright. Midfielder Dom Tyson missed out on being selected in round one after a lack of pre-season conditioning due to a knee issue, but he gave the match committee something to think about with 24 disposals, 16 inside-50s and two goals in a VFL practice match against Port Melbourne. Creative half-forward Dean Kent (20 disposals) also impressed, while versatile defenders Josh Wagner, Sam Frost and Tom Bugg are others likely to come into the selection mix. The Roos’ priority this week will be settling on a replacement for injured spearhead Jarrad Waite. Majak Daw is the frontrunner, but second-year key forward Ben McKay could be considered after playing North’s first two JLT games, while first-year tall Nick Larkey kicked three goals for Werribee in a VFL practice match on Sunday. Roos coach Brad Scott suggested changes would be made for round two even before Waite’s injury was diagnosed. Senior midfielder Ben Cunnington will return from a one-match suspension, while others in contention for a call-up include forwards Taylor Garner, Jed Anderson and Corey Wagner, who returned from a shoulder injury in a VFL practice match last Saturday, second-year midfielder Ryan Clarke and defenders Ed Vickers-Willis and Sam Durdin. Experienced defender Sam Wright did not play in Saturday’s VFL practice match and will probably need more game time before he returns for the Kangaroos. – Nick Bowen

The Power will have a welcome selection headache ahead of Sunday’s game with Fremantle at Adelaide Oval. Jarman Impey, Nathan Krakouer and Aidyn Johnson are available after serving one-game suspensions for the Power’s season-opening win over Sydney at the SCG. Experienced duo Angus Monfries and Matt White had a run in the club’s SANFL trial against Sturt last Thursday as they build their match fitness after injury-interrupted pre-seasons. Midfielder Joe Atley travelled with the Power as the team’s emergency last weekend, but it will be hard to make many unforced changes to a winning team. – Lee Gaskin
If there was a weak spot in Richmond’s 43-point win over Carlton it was the backline, conceding 14 goals to an inexperienced Blues’ attack. This is also where the Tigers’ depth is, with Jayden Short (16 games in 2016) available and in good touch in a VFL practice match on Thursday. Oleg Markov and Nathan Drummond are also options as versatile defenders, but Short would be the first player called on as a replacement for Taylor Hunt, who would be the defender most under pressure if a change is made. In attack, Sam Lloyd had an off night and the match committee could consider bringing in Ben Lennon, who was lively and kicked three goals in Thursday’s VFL curtain raiser, if it decides an immediate change is needed against Collingwood. Midfielder Anthony Miles was surprisingly overlooked in round one, but it’s hard to see a midfield vacancy for him to take at the moment. – Nathan Schmook

A disappointing loss to Melbourne was compounded by Nick Riewoldt’s right knee injury. The obvious replacement for the former captain is Paddy McCartin. He booted three goals in an excellent display for Sandringham and sat out the last quarter of the practice match against Port Melbourne. McCartin was cleared to play against the Demons but “hamstring awareness” meant coach Alan Richardson didn’t want to risk the former No.1 selection. Leigh Montagna picked up 18 disposals in the backline and midfield for the Zebras before he also sat out the final term. The 33-year-old looked in fine touch and should be fit to make the flight to face West Coast on Saturday, after a right calf strain kept him out of round one. Blake Acres and Jack Sinclair are another two who could add more midfield depth on the large expanses of Domain Stadium. – Dinny Navaratnam
With All Australian defender Dane Rampe (broken arm) sidelined for at least the next month, exciting youngster Aliir Aliir looks to be the obvious replacement. The athletic big man is fully recovered from a pre-season toe injury and has had another full week of training to build more fitness and touch. Draftee Will Hayward and recently upgraded rookie Shaun Edwards are in line to replace the unlucky Daniel Robinson, who broke his left collarbone against Port Adelaide last week, the second time in as many seasons. Defender Nic Newman must also be a chance to debut after backing up his outstanding 2016 season with some solid form over summer, and his inclusion could see NAB AFL Rising Star winner Callum Mills pushed into the midfield. Mature-age ruckman Darcy Cameron (finger) should be fit to play the premiers, with fellow big man Callum Sinclair another pushing for selection, along with Jack Maibaum and rookie Robbie Fox. Small forward Tom Papley (knee) should be taken off the long-term injury list this week but will need some games in the NEAFL before he’s considered. – Adam Curley

The Eagles’ ruck curse has struck again. Drew Petrie – who missed only one game for North Melbourne in the past five seasons due to suspension – suffered a broken hand in the opening term against his old club and will miss weeks, opening the door for Jonathan Giles to partner Nathan Vardy in the ruck against St Kilda. West Coast still has decisions to make in defence after only taking two talls into the win over North Melbourne and looking vulnerable in the air. Will Schofield didn’t play at the weekend after flying to Melbourne as the travelling emergency, but Tom Barrass (19 disposals, four marks) swept up well in defence in East Perth’s loss to stay in the mix. Dom Sheed (23 disposals, four inside 50s) found plenty of ball for the Royals after being left out of the Eagles’ side and Liam Duggan (24) continues to build his form, although it remains to be seen if either did enough to force their way into the AFL side. Rookie Francis Watson (26) was again one of East Perth’s best and a debut might not be far away for the dashing half-back. – Travis King
Luke Beveridge will have to make at least one change for Friday night’s Grand Final rematch with the Sydney Swans at Etihad Stadium with defender Dale Morris to miss up to eight weeks with a broken leg. Marcus Adams should come into contention as the veteran’s replacement. Midfielders Clay Smith, Lukas Webb, Bailey Dale, Josh Dunkley and Mitch Honeychurch all had plenty of the footy in Footscray’s big VFL practice match win over Collingwood. Ruckman Tom Campbell was also a standout in his first game for a month in his return from a rolled ankle. – Ryan Davidson
