For this backstory description to make sense age wise, I'm going to use human years on the scale that Mileena and Kitana are in their 20s with the reader being the same age as Mileena. Backstory: reader is an orphan who grew up with Reiko - the two were just your average street urchins. At around age 7 when they were stealing from the market, reader saw two girls who were very lost and distraught. They asked her if she could show them the way back to the palace. Assuming they were joking, she ignored the request but asked them to hang out with her until their parents arrived. So the three girls and Reiko spent the rest of the day having fun. The next day, Li Mei found the four children and brought them back to the palace saying to Sindel that the reader and Reiko should receive punishment. However, Mileena and Kitana both vouched for them and their abilities in kombat. Shao, upon hearing this, decided to take Reiko under his wing. Meanwhile, Sindel was overjoyed to see that Mileena and Kitana made their first and only friend outside of the palace and decided to take reader in to be trained as an umgadi. So for the next few years, Li Mei trained reader in kombat and the ways of palace life but this did not stop reader and Mileena to sneak out of the palace at any given chance. By the time reader was 16, it was time for her to take the umgadi vows but reader shocked everyone by saying she wants to be a street performer instead of an umgadi. Sindel agreed with the condition that whenever reader is in Sun Do, she will stay at the palace with them. So the reader split her time between staying in Sun Do and travelling.

In terms of trying to match this up with MK1, following Reiko's defeat, Sindel is ready to yell at Li Mei for failing to secure the entertainment when Reader walks through the door offering to do so. The royal family immediately go to hug her leaving the earthrealmer gang confused. Liu Kang then explains the story to Raiden, Kung Lao and a smitten Johnny and Kenshi. The banquet takes place with the reader as the entertainer. When Raiden's toast is interrupted by Shao, reader tells him to back down with a fight ensuing with reader as the victor. She ends up becoming very fond of the earthrealmers and decides to spend time with them. The game then unfolds as usual and after the festival when the earthrealm players return, reader goes with them alongside Ashrah and Syzoth. By the end of the game, reader returns to earth with Johnny and Kenshi with the promise to return Outworld soon. (Also let's say everyone survives in this scenario because I love writing intros for Sindel).

Probably one of the more normal parents.

He’s a lot more chill compared to himself in other timelines. I can see him being a proud parent to one or two children. Maybe twins?

Teaches his kids to be a better mage than he is. He tries to make his lessons as fun as he possibly can.

Though, he can become frustrated if they aren't taking their teachings seriously. If something were to happen, they need to learn how to defend themselves.

I can imagine his children are involved in this banishment which irritates him. His family, especially his innocent children, do not deserve to be punished for his actions.

The main driving force behind Rain’s mission to atone for his actions is his children. He wants to show that if you make a mistake, you should try to make things right. He also wants to be a man his children can be proud of.

Havik

A pretty hands off parent.

I can’t imagine him ever having a complete grasp on this parenting thing.

Just has one kid and refuses to have more.

Shang Tsung appeared and ordered the now man to release his creations so that they could kill us and continue with his experiments, and then disappear. He wanted to hate the jailer, but he did it for his family, despite my confused memory and my headache did not let me think clearly, small details were overlooked, fight, fight, fight!

“Behind my princess,” said Baraka, princess? What the hell was going on here?

Kung Lao, my best friend for the last 10 years, looked at me in disbelief as he killed those monsters, Tarkatans modified and tortured body and soul by that sorcerer. "You owe me an explanation, 'princess', and I hope you don't lie to me this time."

That? What was he talking about? YO...

It didn't matter, I continued fighting although the great victory was for Baraka, even against the Zaterrano, it was admirable despite his illness, I admit that seeing that man begging for his death to free his family from suffering, I would not have doubted it, I I would kill with one hit, but that former merchant taught me a lesson.

Not even ten seconds passed before the witcher returned, not only insulting that man, who despite everything, his purpose was noble, but also revealing that several moons ago his family had perished at his hands. . . Wait a second, now I remember, that phrase, ten years ago...

“Oh princess, many moons ago your death was written, don't worry, you will join your father”, after that everything was erased from my mind, who the hell was I? No, now I remember.

“Damn, I remember you! You will pay!"

“Oh, so you finally remember me, princess, it's a shame, Chameleon's efforts were in vain since you will die,” the witcher noted before disappearing into that toxic cloud…

A tear escaped my eyes when I heard that name, it was ten years ago.

A sweet old lady was looking at me and healing my head wound, she didn't remember anything, not even that name, I didn't know who she was.

“Don't you recognize your grandmother? "I told you to be careful, but you never listen to me."

Grandmother? I didn't question anything, since at that moment, ironically she was the only one I should trust, why would she lie to me? Somewhat dizzy I got up without knowing where I was, he helped me and laughed, he told me that I looked drunk, he showed me the whole house, emphasizing that I have lived there for many years and that since the death of my parents I had returned to his side. “I'm Raiden and this is Kung Lao,” she interrupted me abruptly but with innocence and nervousness.

That name echoed in my head and a blurry and painful image took over my mind, Kung Lao? As soon as I heard that name I saw myself lying on the ground, in the middle of a fight? I didn't give it any importance although it seems to scare them...

"Are you OK?" Raiden added to which I smiled affirmatively at his question. "Then let's train."

Kung Lao added, and for an instant emotion took over me, I had just woken up, not even two hours had passed, and I was stupid enough not to question anything.

As the days went by, Mrs. Bo told me stories about my supposed parents and my supposed past, and as the years went by I repeated it with love and nostalgia.

“You should dress in a different color, you're scary.”

"Shut your mouth, Kung Lao, or I swear I'll beat you up," I smiled arrogantly.

“Again,” Raiden mentions with a laugh, referring to the countless times I made that conceited man eat dust.

He would be confused at first not really knowing what exactly you do but once he knows more he is supportive

He will always go to your competitions and cheer you on loudly always going and hugging you after winners are announced being very proud whether you win or not

He always tells his friends and other fighters about you and your occupation earning many different reactions leading to meeting many new faces of varying races and types of people

Soon you become friends with a lot of his friends from Sub Zero, Kenshi Takahashi, and Johnny Cage to His ex wife Sonya Blade, Jax Briggs, Kenshin's son Takeda, Jax's Daughter Jacqui, Johnny and Sonya's Daughter Cassie, and Their Friend Kung Jin who come with the two of you to competitions and to your home for filming videos

There is always a wonderful time when they come from jokes behind the camera while filming, editing random things in thanks to mostly random chaos as filming goes on, to some of them mostly their kids joining you in your challenges

He had seen you do a challenge in Outworld and you met not too long after that and months later the two of you were together

He liked helping you film your challenges making jokes and helping if needed whether you weren't feeling good or just couldn't finish the challenge he would jump in to help

He is always holding a sign cheering for you when he watches you at competitions even shooting a safe gunshot in excitement which scared some but he apologized

He would always tell everyone how proud he was of you even when you didn't win a competition but that didn't matter to him he was proud anyway

He always tries to help spark ideas for your videos when you can't think of any or trying to think of something outside the box for your viewers and fans

He enjoys seeing how happy you get meeting and talking to fans when the two of you are on vacation, at a competition, or having dinner and taking pictures together

Fujin

He would be confused and not understand it for the long while but he will be supportive and help when he can

He likes helping you film and doing challenges with you from sour candies, full pizzas, or Indian food challenges he enjoys the time with you

He likes going to your competitions bringing some of his friends along to cheer you on and support you always hugging you when you go to them after the competition is over

No matter if you win or not as long as you enjoy yourself and continue doing what you love he is proud of you always

He shows or sends your videos to his friends mainly his friends kids who watch plenty of videos on the Internet and they love you a lot considering you more than a friend almost like a mother figure or 2nd mom to them

Speaking of them the four like to show up and help you film and doing challenges with you from doing a Thai and Vietnamese food test with Takeda and a grilled and barbecue challenge with Jacqui to a stir fry challenge with Cassie and a pepper challenge with Jin

He finds your job amazing and immediately wants to see you eat something in one whole bit when you told him of your profession

He is always trying to get you deals with people he knows in Hollywood when he sees something of food competitions while working in a studio

He is always bringing Cassie with him and sometimes Sonya and a lot of his friends to your competitions

He likes filming with you but even more when you and Cassie film together warming his heart seeing the two of you bond and he smiles seeing you and Sonya bond even if she tells you embarrassing stories of when they were together

He is always recommending many challenges from ghost pepper, soup dumplings, and chicken wings, to pizza, burgers, and wontons earning great views from your fans who adored you and johnny together

He is always telling everyone even his friends when they are at your competitions how wonderful you were making you a bright pink mess but he loves you and is proud of you

I cannot tell you how badly I wish I could explain this game to you all, more specifically the adventure I went on with Chester but all I have left from the streams is this recap, which if you can forgive my god awful voice/audio summarizes exactly nothing everything and shows just how often my audience abuses the sound/music alerts video below the read more so it shouldn't randomly auto-play for anyone:

So, right off the bat horribly sorry for my god awful voice gracing your ears.

Other than that, for people who don't know; Kenshi is possibly my favorite open world sandbox game because it genuinely has so much to offer. It has no goals, it has no morality system nor does it try to tell you what is right and wrong. Kenshi just puts you in the world and asks you to survive however you want.

In the playthrough I'm doing on my streams I am playing as Chester, who's literally an old man who was a slave, escaped slavery, and lost all of his limbs; he has since been re-enslaved but broken out several times. I've decided that since he has been mistreated directly by slavers he would seek to rid the world of the two factions in the game that heavily support slavery, those being The Holy Nation (who are essentially a parody of Extremist Christians with their sexist and racist beliefs that anyone who isn't a Greenlander Male needs to be someone else's slave, or be killed) and The United Cities (who are basically Capitalism, I would say "Capitalism to the extreme" but no that's implied by saying Capitalism in the first place. Wealth is everything to them, how you get it doesn't matter; sell drugs, sell people; who cares as long as you make money in the end) as a result his journey has taken him all over the world.

Now normally in Kenshi you play as a group of characters you can set up a base somewhere, start up productions and do whatever. Kenshi is really well designed in that the world will come to you and happen at you but it will never treat you like anyone special even if you become a big shot. Taking out a few Holy Nation Paladins will get you a bad rep with the Holy Nation but no one is going to call you an Anti-Slaver hero, but if you take down Holy Lord Phoenix himself, you'll start to get a name for yourself both good and bad depending on who you ask. For every ally you make you make an enemy of someone else. If you build in bandit territory they will demand food to not launch raids, if you build in Shek lands they want their tribute for your colonization, if you build in the United Cities you better be ready to pay taxes. The world feels alive no matter how you play, and Chester is something of a nomad who just wants to explore the world and have one last adventure while leaving the wastelands a more peaceful place than he came into it as.

My current playthrough off stream is actually 100% different, I'm a lone barkeeper who set up shop in one of the towns of the United Cities, I would buy slaves and release them if they chose to stay with me I'd give them a job working at my pub. I was literally just a humble barkeep. Eventually I had the whole situation automated, we have robots manning everything, one running well water to the farmer, one working the farms harvesting crops and turning them into usable ingredients, another taking the ingredients and preparing food, another running that food to the front desk for sales, it was an elaborate and beautiful pipeline delivering grog, sake, and plenty of rice to the fine people of Stoat while simultaneously ridding the UC (United Cities) of their slaves, with the money lining my pockets it wasn't hard to buy out every slave shop I came across, and just release the slaves.

Oh yea and I have modded the game to all hell without a care as to what I was actually modding in, which means everything from vroid models to dinosaurs to uh... warframe grineer? For some reason?

So my playthrough kinda looks like this:

I kinda want to run you through this playthrough in hopes it will share some of why I love Kenshi with you. See the stats in this game are brutal and they only get better by being used. If you want to get tougher you need to be beaten, if you want to run faster you need to travel, if you want to make better clothing you need to do a lot of crafting. So with only 6 Athletics (which is nothing) and a dream, I took off to go get my Skeleton crew (Skeletons are the name for robots in this game) which are out in the Black Desert which suffers from constant acid rain and lightning storms... which are a slight problem, however that's not as much of a problem when I didn't even make it 5 minutes out the door before some bandits launched an assault on me because I happened to have a loaf of bread in my pocket, yea this game is UNFAIR and it's great but we'll get to why later.

^ See this in the bottom left? Those are your health bars, you don't get HP in this game you get values for your limbs. Your VITAL limbs are things like your head, chest, stomach, and obviously blood. The higher your toughness stat the lower those can go before you fall unconscious/die. However you can entirely lose arms and legs and still be okay, you can even craft your own limbs (or steal them in the case of Chester :P) to replace them, and in a lot of cases limbs are a trade off, maybe you're really strong but that strength means you don't have good finger dexterity so you can't pick locks or steal very well but you can bust open a door or hit someone really hard, scout legs for example give you a ton of movement speed as they're basically springs on your feet, but they don't have a lot of health value so if you get hit in the leg you're probably going down quick, not to mention you can't swim very well with large pieces of metal for legs. These trade offs are really fun and the way health values work in this game is something I hated at first but came to love as I played more.

Everything you survive in Kenshi literally makes you stronger, it's that age old saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" yea it's that cranked up to 11, because wouldn't you know it after hiring some robots at a pub (they can only drink grog because it's basically oil to them, and yes they have oil not blood as a stat; man the devs really put so much detail into this game it's so cute) I got struck by lightning and left out in acid rain... with literally no protection from it.

However if you notice most of my stats are in the green minus stomach and chest... and my left arm but my VITALS are doing better because I already took a beating getting here, and I got tougher for it! God I love that shit so much it's such a cool concept because it means you organically grow over the course of the game!

So anyways we get back to Stoat eventually (I had to get one of the robots to carry me) and we begin to properly set up shop, it's real cozy since there's no real conflict and I have plenty of money (called Cats) to spend on resources right now

I even started making and selling weapons and stuff! I eventually had enough money I bought ANOTHER building and decided to turn this one into a big farm, we'd use moister farming to condense water in the air since we're in the middle of the desert and wells out here kinda suck for consistent water supply, we'll continue the use of hydroponic farming and start bread production from grain silos, yes all of this shit matters; Kenshi is a complex game with lots of moving parts, I mean hell there's a whole graph for making robotic limbs and it's fantastic, you have to know what to make at what crafting station and where it all needs to go, and what research you need to do to unlock it all. This game makes you work for your reward and then properly gives you a fitting reward when you can make shit like this:

This whole thing is a blueprint that contains 3 different types of farms (Vegetables, Rice, and Wheat) a grain silo to turn the wheat to flour, then an oven for baking that flour to bread, as well as Grog, Rum, and Sake distilleries, storage for it all, as well as 4 stoves all set to make various foods from the farms, the floor above this houses 6 water condensers that will generate passive water for us so the farms won't dry out, and you know what? This all pays off, we make literally over 100k just selling various foods and drink that cost nothing for us to make since we can now grow it all in house!

Just to give you an idea, there was a moment like this for Chester too, except Chester's moment was when he tracked down a tyrannical Skeleton warlord who had been literally making skeletons go haywire so he could have an army to commit genocide on anyone and everyone, Chester couldn't fight through the literal hundreds of thralled skeletons so instead we used stealth which we had been training for a good while now; and snuck into his throne room before carefully sneaking up and assassinating him. It turns out he has one of the strongest weapons in the game, something called a "Meitou Falling Sun" which is actually really important because the "Meitou" in that name is the weapon's grade, Meitou is a grade only given to 1 of each class of weapon, forged by an ancient blacksmith named Cross who was renowned as a legendary blacksmith who made top tier weapons. Now the Falling Sun is still WAY too heavy for Chester to use properly, but he was able to grab the warlord and turn him in to an anti-slaver group for a bounty, fun fact about that the anti-slaver group is ran by another Skeleton who used to be friends with said warlord but didn't agree with his system of going to war, and instead became an anti-slaver gigachad who doesn't even fight with a weapon.

Notice how in my Barkeeper run my big moment was automating a farm + kitchen combo and decorating my bar to be nice and fancy; but for Chester it was basically an elaborate stealth mission to assassinate/Stealth KO a warlord and change the global politics of the game entirely? Yea that's the freedom this game gives you, you will get these big rewarding moments no matter how you play. In one of my playthroughs that rewarding moment was hunting down a slaver group who had taken one of my characters and enslaved them, I broke everyone out of the camp including my old team member and despite effectively only getting back to square 1 (having both my party members in the party again) it felt super cool and rewarding to break them out of this elaborate slave prison and set everyone free to help me fight off the guards, because my whole playthrough changed when they got captured, suddenly I cared a lot more about lock picking and stealth and everything else took a backseat, I joined a group of ninjas and had them train me so I could sneak in and pick all the locks before opening all the cages and arming all the slaves with weapons from the storage rooms. Kenshi is an entirely unique experience every playthrough and speaking of playthroughs after I upgraded my bar I decided to take a little vacation out of the desert to go pick up some more friends, this time I figured I'd get some fleshy new hires since I want to diversify a little bit. While I was out, this Beak Thing (large carnivore creatures who when the game was released, could accidentally talk and would absolutely destroy you before saying "relax, enjoy death" which is the most terrifying shit) got stuck in our grog room

But he's still only a pup so we can't legally give him any alcohol, don't worry; he still hasn't left and he's now an Elder. I am trying to find the guy who will sell him to me because he's become something of a mascot for the bar. He also doesn't fit anymore...

So you may be wondering if there's plot or anything and well, there kinda is; and it's super organic and I love it to death. Okay so let's back up, now that I have an automated system I've begun going town to town and buying a bar in each major town in the UC this allows me to make money in town and then buy out the slave market freeing any slaves and hiring any who want to stick around giving them a weapon more powerful than a sword in the UC; money. In doing so I wound up in a coastal town called Bark where I was approached by a young woman and this dialogue happend:

It's a little hard to read but I'll summarize if you're not able to read it; essentially she asks if I'm from around here and when I ask if there's a problem by any chance she tells me she somehow fucked up with nobility, which in the UC is a big deal; like a "they will kill you" big deal. She tells me she NEEDS to get out of town, so I ask her what she was involved in; remember that if I get a bad rep with the UC my bars will be raided, all the slaves I have employed will be killed, I won't be able to fight the system so for now I have to play nice and that means I can't be helping anyone out if it costs me my own skin; plus I'm not some super strong anime protagonist, I'm a fucking barkeeper! I have no stats for fighting at this point and can't very well go to war with the UC over one person as much as I may want to help everyone. She tells me it's all a conspiracy and someone ratted her out, she needs to be gone by the morning so I tell her I'll see what I can do; yes you can actually disguise people and sneak them over boarders in this game it's incredible. However she tells me she only needs about 3k to bribe the guards to look the other way, 3k is pretty much nothing to me at this point so I say sure. After which point she joins our squad, I am then approached by another young lady looking to join up and get out of town; sounds good to me but I kinda need people here to run the shop in this town so I attempted to have a bit of dialogue to figure out why she wanted out so bad;

But she's an absolute riot, she tells me she has a pet Gutter (a species of Beak Thing) named Grimes and how she apparently has had a steamy affair with the barman's daughter and then even goes so far as to try to show me her weird rash but I figured we knew enough and you know we stan a lesbian with a weird rash.

But I couldn't just leave them here if they weren't well protected; so I set up a small fishing camp, and taught them how to farm, I even bought them a house and made good sure Khida was safe to leave town if needed.

I even installed a little Gutter weathervane for Ojillo on their farm

This game just has so much charm! Though I really need to get these two some clothes, most characters spawn with pants but not shirts; but the game is never weird about it so meh I'll pick them up some leather jackets from the shop down the road from my pub.

Now remember how I said I'm physically pretty weak? And how I can't really fight yet? Well to fix that I went ahead and used the skills I do have (in crafting) to make myself some martial arts gear, in this case this absolute insanely modded mess of a game showed me I could make Goku's gi and you know I have never seen Dragon Ball but that wasn't going to stop me, I even found a guy selling some weird robotic enhancements and bought that to go with it.

I essentially waited around at the gates of Stoat for wildlife, bandits, or threats of any nature to attack the town and when the guards would get involved I'd just back them up, it was pretty safe and if I was knocked out I had my pub staff nearby with medkits to pick me up and haul my ass back to bed. After a LONG time of this I was finally skilled enough at dodging, tough enough to take hits when I couldn't dodge, and actually skilled enough with martial arts; to explore the wilds out by where Beak Things live, I was hoping to get some beak thing eggs since they sell for a good price and I could use them in cooking some really nice stuff to sell at my pub, would absolutely bring in higher paying clientele and I'm all about that.

Oh and while I was doing all of this, the rest of the world was still actively going on around me, remember how I said I was freeing slaves? They were starting to take notice of this, and one of my ex-slave employee's Frump went by the slave yard to free some more people when this really wholesome interaction happened:

Kenshi really does a great job of making the world feel like it's happening around you but at the same time, taking notice of you. I love stuff like this, it's genuinely cool to see slaves notice my faction and know they have a chance of escaping because I set slaves free; and yet they don't immediately trust me just off my reputation because that's the kind of world Kenshi is, it's a world where for all they know I "free" slaves and then shoot them for sport, or feed them to my pet dinosaur for fun. Oh yeah my pet dinosaur, about that.

So remember how I said I was going to go get beak thing eggs for profit and money? I found a Western Tyrant instead, or at least a Juvenile one; a quick fight later and it was knocked out, I patched it up and dragged it's ass back to my house in The Hub where I was greeted by none other than Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X and 2b from NieR; why? Because MODS BAY-BEE WOOOO!

ANYWAYS we put it in a cage so it can't kill us and we feed it until it trusts us, we name it Gura because it will become an Apex Predator, and now we are best friends :D

Look at it! I love this thing! It's so cute! It's still a baby so I have to be careful not to let it get into fights with things that could easily kill it but it's a tanky beast and I'm keeping it safe. Well...

OKAY LISTEN IT'S OKAY! THE RAGDOLL PHYSICS ARE JUST HILARIOUSLY WEIRD IN THIS GAME BUT I PROMISE IT'S OKAY!

On my way back to Stoat I found a group of nomads who were also traveling with animals and I decided to follow them, strength in numbers and all that; we're all friends here.

This game is honestly beautiful to me even on low settings; I love looking up from the desert wasteland and seeing huge planets floating over the horizon it really sells me on the scale of this world.

Eventually we got to a town where I hadn't had a chance to set up a shop, the Nomads just brought me to an entirely new place; so I ran by the local bar to pick up a new hire and well, interview went great!

I literally asked if they had any potential skills they said no, and I hired them on the spot!

Oh yea I also found a guy getting chased around by a "processor unit" which are basically robotic vulture raptors that eat dying things; he was beat up pretty bad in a fight and woke up from his recovery coma because the unit was eating his flesh, and then the pathfinding decided he should RUN IN CIRCLES

So I see this looney tunes bullshit off in the distance while I'm traveling; gotta love it. Good luck dude! Some say he's still out there running in circles to this day.

This happened by the way because he was trying to attack the unit, and the unit was trying to attack him and the pathfinding wouldn't just let him turn around, and dear lord it was hilarious.

I was also laughing really hard because I sent my friends THIS picture which looks like the most generic youtube clickbait thumbnail, but was meant to express how much hell I was going through trying to transport all my goods over to the next town which was so heavy I couldn't move faster than 4 mph but of course there were a ton of things in the desert at this exact time of day, that want me dead:

I guess what I'm trying to say with this extremely long rambling, is that I genuinely love Kenshi for how much love and care and soul it has. Every character I encounter has a story, something to say, something to do. I wander into a town and someone tells me about this legend they heard and they want to join me to go hunt down some treasure somewhere, or I'll stumble into a pirate town where anyone who doesn't know the pirate code is immediately taken in to become a slave and work your way up through the ranks because you're an obvious outsider; but you can buy a pirate code book off a drunk guy super cheap at a bar and then pretend to know enough to not get caught. Sometimes I'm running through a place just for travel and stumble upon "Skin Bandits" who are Skeletons who think they're human, and they're all friends with a human who's their leader; and made them "peeler machines" to peel the flesh off their "flesh brothers" and wear the skin as a suit; genuine horror shit right there and I love it. Kenshi has so much packed into it, you could be a leviathan hunter seeking riches from battling behemoths that roam the land, or you could be a barkeeper who just wants to settle down in a quiet town and run a shop, or you could be an anti-slaver and free the oppressed people of the world; and hell there's nothing saying you have to play this way. If you prefer to be a morally bad person in games you can join the Holy Nation, you can become a slave trader; you can steal and kill to your hearts content because the game will never point a finger at you and say "you're being morally bad and mean and rude!" Instead you are chased down by the police, you might have to break out of jail, you might have to fight and die to get out of prison or to get away because you may get caught trying to rob people. Kenshi is immersive because it never tells you "no" outright, it plays like a huge game of D&D where everything is fair to the point of being brutal and unfair. Like the game doesn't deem you anyone important, you're just another person; so every choice you make matters but not in some grand scheme kind of way.

And what's really cool about it is, if you do want to be some important person, you can do that too! If you take out a big political name, someone else will make moves to take their place; other factions will move into the land and take up residency and you can sway how the game map will turn out. You can help the Shek reclaim their land, you can help the Holy Nation colonize everything, you can help the United Cities get even richer, or you can hang out in the swamps with the turtles; they're cute as fuck dude I love those little guys.

Yes the game is buggy, and yes you should probably mod the fuck out of it because there's a ton of ways to cheese it and honestly sometimes a bit of quality of life mods can go a long ways toward making a game more fun.

But I ultimately think this game deserves a look if you're into these sort of genres; explore the world, see what it has to offer; and just have fun with it. Depends on which friends/associates. But probably not too terribly? Probably? Kenshi loves to drive, Kimi loves to ride. They'll trade aux/Bluetooth control. Lots of pee breaks for Kimi that he'll pretend to be annoyed about. So many snacks. They'll definitely take a rental so she doesn't get crumbs in his car.

Entry 109: Welcome to REDACTED

Revelation Chapter 19: Hidden Strings

Azura talks about how great Valla was and how Hoshidan and Nohrian royals used to visit. It's unclear when the above world forgot about Valla, but from how Azura talks about it, it seems they knew about Valla until Anankos took over and killed everyone. Which means that all of the army older than Corrin should already know about Valla. The other implication is that Valla cut off contact centuries ago for unrelated reasons, but even then the curse wouldn’t have existed yet and people would have talked about it. Corrin and Azura being from the ancient destroyed kingdom of legend really fucks with this game’s world-building.

Azura brings the gang to a statue of Anankos, identical to the one on the ceiling in Garon’s castle, and explains that Anankos is the Vallan equivalent of the Dusk and Dawn Dragons, who I guess don’t give a shit about Anankos destroying their kingdoms. Azura explains that Garon worships Anankos instead of Dusky because he’s actually a zombie controlled by Anankos, used to create wars so Anankos can conquer the world. Question: how and when did Garon die? I don’t recall the game ever explaining.

Side note, the track for exploring Valla at one point plays the Nintendo WiFi connecting sound. For some reason. It confuses me.

Azura reveals some more shit we already knew and then a kid named Anthony shows up, chased by Vallite soldiers. This map is a recycled version of Conquest Chapter 15, that cool map where our party is replicated on a different island, with one half fighting the boss and the other half trying to escape. The enemies on the bottom island are tough, but our king Kenshi is stronk. After the battle, Anthony reveals that the remaining Vallites are enslaved by Anankos and that he escaped. Team Corrin asks this escaped child slave to lead them back to the place he escaped from, which is filled with people who want to murder him. Bit of a dick request.

Back at his fortress, Anankos, who is wearing a black hood because he’s evil, talks to Strategist Lady and Mikoto. Er, I mean, ???, the purple smoke-covered Anankos minion who definitely is not Mikoto.

Support: Nyx/Orochi

C: People like Nyx more than Orochi because Nyx is more mature. Orochi dislikes this.

B: Orochi challenged Nyx to a duel. Nyx doesn't care enough to fight. Nyx explains her backstory. The two of them become friends.

A: Orochi refuses to judge Nyx for her past. Nyx says she wishes Orochi had been around when she was younger.

Review: Decent, although they become friends very quickly.

Support: Leo/Sakura

C: Leo asks if Sakura will attend the war council meeting. Sakura says no because she hates talking about hurting people. Leo says she isn't cut out for the life of a soldier.

B: Sakura asks to attend the war council, because it will help her treat the wounds of the soldiers.

A: Sakura heals a bunch of soldiers. Leo apologizes for saying she wasn't suited for war. Sakura says she still doesn't like battle and wishes the war would end.

S: Leo says he loves Sakura for her sweet heart and understated strength.

Review: Really good! Sakura's kindness and empathy shine through, while also treating her as a mature, capable healer.

Support: Camilla/Ryoma

C: Ryoma and Camilla try to become friends for Corrin's sake. They have nothing to talk about and bicker over who loves Corrin more.

B: Camilla says she wants to keep an eye on Corrin at all times. Ryoma says Corrin needs independence to reach their full potential.

A: Corrin gets mad about the two of them fighting. They decide to be nice to each other because that's what Corrin wants.

S: Ryoma says he wants to protect Corrin and asks her to unite the two great kingdoms of the world. Review: Boring.

Support: Beruka/Oboro

C: Oboro growls at Beruka, because she's a Nohrian assassin. Oboro explains her parents were tailors murdered by bandits. Beruka implies she knows something, before going silent.

B: Oboro demands Beruka says something. Eventually, Beruka says that she was raised by Oboro's parents' killer.

A: Beruk explains her adoptive father, a cruel assassin, murdered Oboro's parents because they were close to the nobility, and that this left him disgusted with himself. Oboro demands Beruka tell her where he is, and Beruka explains she was paid to kill him. Beruka offers herself to Oboro as a target of revenge, but Oboro chooses to spare her and break the chain of hatred.

Review: Pretty good. Gives good backstory on both characters, plus Beruka offering her life and Oboro abandoning her revenge are great character moments.

raiden doesn't mind trying new things, and punk rock was definitely new to him. seeing you for the first time had him fascinated with you. he adores how freely you express yourself through your outfit and music, especially your opinions. although the music itself is a little too wild for him, he'd would so go to a concert if you asked him. you might contrast with him a tad, but thats whats beautiful. he wants to support your interests, he wants to listen to you go on a tangent about social norms and politics, he wants to be with you and your punkself.

kung lao has heard of punk, and was maybe even a little interested before. when he first saw you though? it peaked his interest further. he would get more into punk music while being with you and even join in on mouthing off politics and social issues. he enjoys having something to bond with you over. he loves your rebellic personality and how you have no care in the world about what people think about you. if you were to ask, he'd love to make some diy clothing with you and wear it to a concert. he wants to support and share your interests.

johnny cage is no stranger to punk music, but its not something hes particularly into. he's a hip-pop kind of guy, although he doesn't mind the culture of punk. he was most definitely intrigued by your choice of style and beliefs, it made him want to learn more about it just for you. he wants to support you, he would even get you backstage tickets/specialties with his reputation instead of his money. you would have to educate him a little about what you believe in, but he'll happily listen! whatever comes out of your pretty mouth, he's all ears.

kenshi takahashi has no knowledge about punk whatsoever, so meeting you was something completely new to him and unknown. he would ask a lot of questions about it and you'd have to explain everything about the culture to him. he would be confused at first, but learn its your way of life and he admires you for it. he'll support you no matter what, though the music itself is not his preferred taste, so even the concerts, he wouldn't partake in. that and the importance of his clan, but he would encourage you to go to the concerts you want to experience, even if he isn't there with you.

Since its new year for me very much soon i thought i d post something thematic. How would mk1 characters meet new year. I follow canon bc if included my own hcs it would be a bit confusing. I might have a little adding on canon fanficton but its mostly just about small details no major changing from what we know in canon.

1. Raiden and Kung Lao. Raiden would celebrate in Wu shi academy and later have dinner at Madam Bo's. Kung Lao would rather party and go out but he stays at academy out of respect for Raiden. He joins him at Madam Bo's.

2. Mileena and Kitana and Ermak. They celebrate in royal traditions and don't exactly have fun or enjoy most of them. Due to Mileena being new to throne and this season being first one without her mother,Sindel its hard for everyone. Ermak supports his daughters and does his best at being father figure in their lives. Tanya was close to Mileena through all celebration making her feel more confident and comfortable within her new role. Li Mei is invited but refused and spends the end of year at her job, still grieving her friend.

3. Sub Zero. Bi Han is not a big fan of any types of celebrations and would rather plan out attacks or just train. But since most members of Lin Kuei are quite fond of celebratory traditions he allows it. Its first year without Kuai and Tomas so it does feel kinda wrong but Bi Hans anger is stronger than his love. He does invite that demoness named Sareena to join nonetheless, being quiet fond of a woman.

4. Kuai Liang and Tomas. They are still continuing to build up a new clan, Shirai Raui,so they don't have much time to celebrate. Harumi still insisted on throwing some kind of celebration just to lighten up the mood. Newly found member, Hanzo, is exited about it too.

5.Reiko, Shao. They have just escaped prison and are rallying up a revolution against new Empress. So obviously they have nothing to be happy about or celebrate.

6. Ashrah and Syzoth. Syzoth is showing Ashrah different ways to celebrate new years. Ultimately they decided to just spend it with each other.( What activities they partaken in is unknown but pretty obvious)

7.Rain. He's in prison after flooding the city and completely heartbroken and shocked about his actions.

8. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. They are extremely bitter and upset about the whole Damashi lie and ordeal. They decided to get drunk till they are barely conscious and plan out crazy plans. Most likely they are on a bender.

9.Nitara. probably eating people and breeding new vampires. Some crazy bitch activities.

10. Kenshi. He definitely spent new years with his family. After so much shit went down around his loved ones he managed to insure their safety and got to celebrate with them.

11. Geras. He is in this wierd time hub watching new year in every timeline. Chilling at his job.

12. Lui Kang. Lui is extremely lonely this time of year. He definitely avoids seeing any timelines and just has dinner,insures nothing bad happens at Earthrealm. Later he comes around at Johnny's party and gets blackout drunk and high.

13. Johnny Cage. He throws a big party at his new, smaller house he bought after selling previous one. Johnny not only does it to party but also to find someone to land him a role or gig. He invited everyone he knew but everyone has something to do so he mostly parties with his Hollywood friends. He does meet a blonde woman named Sonya who is there as friend of someone's friend.

14. Baraka. After improvements of living conditions in colony he decided to spend festive time there instead of going in Sun do. Baraka personally organised and decorated colony and throws a celebration for his people.

15. Havik. Somehow ends up at Johnny's party even though he wasn't invited. Causes hella chaos and gets high and drunk until passing out in the parking lot.

A rush of Strazni heading for Cash's person didn't alert either him nor Nick, but Kenshi adeptly noticed the large man lumbering towards the Disguised Tiefling, and stepped in to question him. Kenshi also noticed that the man's right arm looked deformed under the cloak he wore. Strazni demanded that Kenshi step out of the way, as she belonged to him. Cash dropped the Disguise Self spell, and lied that he saw the doll in the shop and wanted to see if he could make her real. Strazni, confused as to why Cash looked like the woman from his dreams, angrily told everyone to leave the area. Cash took him in to memorize the face of the man as much as he could. With Strazni met, and the partial group sufficiently stressed and confused, returned to the path to Church of St. Andral with the toys for everyone.

While the others were dealing with a strange mountain of a man, Chiaroscuro and Alexir were helping acclimate Ireena to her new role, Chiaroscuro assisting in mending the orphan children's clothing while Alexir took a break from the mental stress by sitting in a pew a bit away's from the pulpit. Father Petrovich sits with Alexir, and the two chat a bit about their tiefling companion, Chiaro. He mentions that he was a bit surprised, because he thought the air of holy energy he felt was radiating of Alexir, but no, Father Petrovich said it came from Chiaro. Alexir mentioned he never felt anything of the sort, but agreed that there was something special about the man. Petrovich agreed, telling Alexir to keep an eye on him, as he could see some awe inspiring things from the young man.

As Father Petrovich stood, the rest of the group walked in, toys in hand for the others, and everyone took refuge in the Priest's back office to discuss the happenings. Nick, Cash, and Kenshi informed Chiaro and Alexir of Strazni, told them how he had been seeing Ireena in his dreams and he had been forcing Blinksy to make Dolls of her for months now, and

Chiaroscuro, who had been making a bit of headway with the orphans, was voluntold to discuss the bones with Yeska with the new toy that the group had bought for him and the rest of the orphans, a moderate sized puppet show with marionettes of a king, a queen, a prince, a princess, an executioner, a tax collector, a dunce, a vampire, and a vampire hunter. Chiaroscuro did so, with some coaching from Nick and the group who used their Psychic Whispers technique, using the toy with Yeska to discuss difficult topics like the death of his parents to the Wolf's Head Jamboree, and also how scared he was and what to do to combat this fear. Yeska confirmed Father Petrovich's suspicion that Milivoj had been the one he had told about the bones, and the group set outside to confront the surly teen about them.

It had started to rain a bit as they left the building, and Milivoj was digging a grave in the wet mud. He allowed the group to help him out of the hole, and as he was interrogated, everyone could see he was simply a stressed, tired, frustrated teen who was working so hard to support his family after his parent's had passed. They asked who hired him to steal the bones of Saint Andral, and he informed them of the Coffin Maker, Henrik van der Voort. When asked how much he was offered to steal them, Milivoj reluctantly said that he'd get fifty gold pieces for the bones, enough money to last his family a while. After getting the rest of the necessary details from the boy, Chiaro offered five gold pieces to him to help him out for the next while. When everyone else had started to leave, Cash flipped him one of the Gold Rings from the Death House, Milivoj catching it deftly in the air, and told the lad that while he understood doing whatever was possible for money, to avoid bad jobs for bad coin. Milivoj agreed, and left to go inside away from the rain.

The group made the plan, approach the Coffin Maker's home, Kenshi will enter the shop as a possible customer, Cash will use Disguise Self to pass as Milivoj asking for his money, and, the rest will enter where they could to get the bones. Unfortunately for them, upon approaching the building, the group were forced away upon knocking, Henrik van der Voort being a gruff, antisocial old cretin. While Cash began to use Disguise Self on himself, Chiaroscuro asked for a boost up to attempt to see into the second floor from Alexir, and while barely, he could see through the barred and slatted windows into a dark room filled with boxes and supplies. He summoned Flicker in the center of the room, his eyes glassing over to be able to see through his Familiar's sights, and looked around through Flicker to find anything close to the bones. All the while Cash's Milivoj disguise was applied, and he was able to get inside the front office of the Coffin Maker's home, demanding his money from the old man.

Henrik relented, going through a door and, through Flicker's senses Chiaro could hear him coming up to the second floor, going through a door on the other side of the wall. Not long after, Henrik returned with the bag of coins for "Milivoj", and began to escort the man out of his home, when he was shocked by Kenshi's hand shooting out and grabbing the door before it closed into its frame. Inviting himself in, Kenshi looked around for a brief moment before chastising the man and demanding to know where the bones were. Henrik held up his hands in defeat almost immediately, knowing all too well that the jig was up. He informed Kenshi were the bones were, through the door, up the stairs, and to the right, and Kenshi demanded that Henrik go with them to find it. Henrik refused, saying he already told the man where it was, his only request was that Kenshi not go into the room on the left of the stairs, as it was not safe. This room in question is where Flicker was standing at this exact point, surrounded by boxes, wood, and large crates labeled "Junk".

It was an habit that started with Kuai Liang, whenever he was shocked, excited or frustrated, he would say "By Raiden!" or "Oh my Raiden!"

Usually Earthrealmers would call for the Elder Gods, even if they were not believers, it was a common thing to do.

So common even Kuai Liang himself used to do it, even though he never believed, he used to say it. What harm could it do?

However he did stop saying it out loud around 30 years ago, when Hanzo told him about Raiden, the only god who could be trusted, the only god who cared. The god who, ironically, was betrayed by his own faith.

Hanzo mourned him like you mourn an old friend. And that was a feeling Kuai could deeply relate.

Kuai schooled himself after that. To never call for the Elder Gods. Sometimes he let it slip, as old habits die hard, but only when he was by himself or more often only in his own head, never in Hanzo's presence.

It was when he finally moved in to Hanzo's kingdom, the Netherrealm, that he adopted a new habit: Call for Lord Raiden instead.

"By Raiden!" He thought to himself the for the first time when he was proposed to by the love of his life and afterlife.

"I swear to Raiden, you'll be chicken soup if you don't stop!" He said another time to Tundra the chicken in one of her many feisty days, which granted a laugh from Noob. Hanzo laughed too but the use of his mentor's name did not go unnoticed, nor unappreciated.

"By Raiden, I don't miss the war, but sometimes it feels easier than all this bureaucracy!" The fire king sighed after a long day handling the not so easy aspects of this position.

"By Raiden?" Noticed Jataaka, his trusted advisor. The king granted her the story, to which she payed close attention.

And after a week or so she found herself grunting "Raiden give me strength" after hearing of yet another shenanigan from one of the members of the court.

"WHAT IN RAIDEN'S NAME IS THAT??" Was shouted one day by Noob Saibot, as he held his chicken in his arms to protect her from an alligator, or as he was soon to be known: Little Liu Kang, Sareena's pet!

No longer than six months and the entire court was calling for Raiden! The Lin Kuei, the Sisterhood of Shadows, The kings, and even the the young prince, Kenshi, who visited his adoptive parents once a week.

It was a year later that the animals started to act strange. They would stare at specific spots for hours, which would confuse the court, as the spots were usually very much empty. Not long after, Kenshi, who usually saw the world only in silhouettes, would start to see an extra silhouette here and there.

At first, the blind swordsman thought the Kingdom of Lost Souls was tricking Sento and messing with his unique sight. But the silhouette kept appearing, each time easier for him to spot.

One day, he decided he gad enough "are you sure you're not seeing it??" He asked his uncle during one of their many sparing matches.

"Seeing what, kid?" The wraith looked around, seeing no one in the room but them both.

"Him! That guy over there! How can you not see him?" Kenshi force Noob's head and pointed firmly towards the silhouette, that grew so clear with time that it became hard for Kenshi to tell it apart from the real people.

"By Raiden, kid! There's nothing--"

Noob had never properly met him. Only briefly during that faithful Mortal Kombat tournament. But that brief introduction was enough to make him capable of recognise the Thunder God.

"Lord Raiden??" The wraith asked in disbelief staring at the god before him. He hasn't changed a day.

"Hello Bi-Han. Or rather, it is Noob Saibot now, isn't it?" The god asked with that strong but soothing voice of his. "And you must be Takahashi Kenshi."

Both uncle and nephew pondered how a dead man-- dead god would know that, "I've been observing." Was the answer, "A god is present whenever he is called, wherever he is welcomed. And this kingdom, I feel it welcomes me."

Noob and Kenshi stared at each other and back at the god, "We summoned a god. I blame Hanzo." Said the shadowy wraith, opening a portal and leading Raiden towards the gardens where the Fire king could be found.

Coincidently or not, it was the anniversary of the Thunder God's death, and as of tradition, Hanzo was lighting a candle in his homage.

The god approached silently. Hanzo doesn't pray for him, he rather tells him about his year, the good and bad, he tells the god everything.

The king would never admit it, but in his talking he hoped the god could hear him and more importantly, hoped Raiden would see how much he'd grown and changed, hoped Raiden would be proud of him, of how far he'd come.

His hopes were to be rewarded, as the Thunder God could in fact hear him, could in fact see him. And was in fact truly and deeply proud.

"Hello, Hanzo. You have changed."

Alt!Hanzo visits their reality once a month and still realised Lisa and Harumi were in love way before Lisa did.

His reaction was to pat Harumi in the back and wish her good luck, he knew from his own experience, dating a Sub-Zero Sibling himself, that she would very much need it🤡

Accidental Head Injury

“Think it’s getting late?” One of the teens asks, following after his friends on his skateboard as they walked along the sidewalk.

“Does it matter? It’s Friday night, man; Live a little.” One of the other boys says, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Nobody’s going to bother us, this part of the city is regularly patrolled by heroes at this time at night.”

It was just the three of them; Kenji, the oldest (15) and the sort of the leader of the group, Joji, the quietest of the group (14 but turns 15 next month) and Sōji the youngest (14) but smartest.

Sōji skates pass them, glancing around and takes notice that there was hardly anyone else around; No citizens or heroes, they were alone.

If a villain decided to show up...particularly a nasty one like the lunatic Endeavor took down a couple of weeks ago.

He didn’t want to think about that; Like Kenshi said, a lot of heroes patrol this part of the neighborhood so there shouldn’t be much to worry about. He turns back to his friends, not really sure what plans Kenji had for them since there wasn’t much to do this late at night.

Most stores were closed and he didn’t really wanted to hang out in a park again this late after they were caught smoking once by a pro-hero, at least...they think he was a hero. Not really sure, must have been new or something because they’ve never heard of him before.

His mom wouldn’t let him hear the end of it for weeks.

“What are you wanting to do?” Sōji asks, one foot on the skateboard and sees Kenji shrug his shoulders.

“We could go to my house and play video games.” Joji says softly, pulling his hood over his face to keep it hidden. “My mom isn’t home yet but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if you both stayed over-“

Kenji stops him by placing a hand against the other’s chest and points further up at head.

“Dude, is that Present Mic?” He asks, getting the other two to turn and look; It was indeed the Voice Hero.

“It’s Friday night, he’s probably on his way to do his show.” Sōji points out, looking at his phone for the time.

“Think we can ask him for a autograph?” Kenji asks excitedly, pulling his hands out of his pockets to wave towards the hero before his friends have the chance to say anything.

“Kenji, he’s probably busy.” Joji says anxiously, seeing the hero look their way.

“Come on, when are we ever going to get another chance to meet Present Mic?” He tells them, delighted to see the hero approaching them. He looks a little amused but crosses him arms to be stern, looking the three over.

“Aren’t you boys a little too young to be out this late?” Mic asks as the teens walk up to him, smiling despite getting onto them.

“We...were on our way to our friend’s house.” Sōji says quickly, rolling his board back and forth on the pavement. “Our friend just wants to meet you-“

“Are you on your way to do your show?” Kenji asks excitedly, making the hero chuckle before giving a nod. “I listen to it every Friday, I’m a huge fan!”

“I’m glad to heard that, little listener but you all show get a move on. If another hero catches you all out this late, they might not be a chill as I am about it.” Present Mic says, patting the boy on the head. “Your parents wouldn’t want you out this late anyway.”

“Can we get a autograph before we go?” Joji says softly, lifting his head as he asks, showing his face and Sōji could have sworn he saw the color drain from the hero’s face. Their friend Joji has a bug related quirk so his face looks a lot like a mantis, he can’t help it but it does frighten a lot of people at first glance which why he normally wears his hood up.

What happens next was too fast to process, Mic must have taken at step back and steps on his skateboard, which causes him to fall when the board flies from out from under him and he hits the ground hard before any of them have the chance to catch him.

The boys freeze, panic in their eyes before rushing to the hero’s aid but Mic was unresponsive.

“Oh my god, is he okay? Is he bleeding?!” Sōji asks as Kenji check his head and sighs in relief when the other shakes his head no.

“I think he’s just going to have a bump on his head-“

“We need to call an ambulance!” Sōji tells him, reaching for his phone but Kenji jumps up to stop him.

“He’s just hit his head, what if we get into trouble?!”

“He should be taken to the hospital, Kenji!”

“We just knocked out a pro hero!” Kenji argues.

“But it was a accident...” Joji mutters under his breath, trying to hide his face with his hood. “And we can’t leave him here out in the open...what if a villain shows up? We can’t protect him.”

Besides Joji’s bug quirk, Kenji could only make his hair glow and Sōji could only read super fast; Neither of their quirks were really useful in combat.

“We...should take him back to my house...until he wakes up.” Kenji suggests, frowning as he runs a hand through his hair.

“That would be considered abduction.” Sōji points out, getting aggravated and picks up his skateboard. “The smart thing to do is report this.”

“Dude, if my mom finds out that I was apart of this; She will kill me!” Kenji says, kneeling back down beside Present Mic and tries to shake him awake but the man remains unconscious. “Help me pick him up, my house is nearby and my mom is a doctor, she has all sorts of first aid.”

“Kenji, this is nuts.” Sōji comments, grabbing a hold of Mic’s other arm with one grab and holding the board with the other. “They’re gonna know something is wrong when he doesn’t show up to do his show.”

“Maybe he’ll wake up before it starts.” Kenji says, sounding a bit anxious as Joji grabs the hero’s legs and they start dragging the hero back to their friend’s house.

“We should take his speaker thing off, it must be hurting his neck.” Joji suggests, looking at the hero laying in Kenji’s bed. Sōji nods in agreement as Kenji looks over the hero’s support device.

“How? I don’t even know how this thing goes on.” Kenji mutters, moving aside so Sōji takes a look at it.

“It latches in the back.” He points out, reaching out to try and remove the device. It takes a few times but he manages to unlatch it and remove it from around Mic’s neck.

“We’re going to be in so much trouble.” Joji says into his hands, shaking his head. “We should have just called someone, this is kidnapping! We just kidnapped Present Mic!”

“Calm down, it’s not like we’re holding him for random.” Kenji tells him.

“But what if another hero comes looking for him and finds him here? What then? What if Mic wakes up and he’s angry with us?!”

“Calm down, deep breaths.” Sōji reassures his friend, looking closely to the man’s neck and notices the scar around it. “Think wearing his speaker all the time hurts him?”

“No, that was from a accident he had a while back; It malfunctioned and practically exploded around his neck, he had to be in a hospital for a while after that.” Kenji explains, he remembers reading about it on a blog somewhere and could have sworn Mic mentioned it at some point on his show. “My mom could remove the scar from his neck if I asked her but...”

“She‘d be too busy ringing yours once she finds out you brought him here.” Sōji huffs, sitting on the edge of the bed and rest his chin in the palm of his hand. “Won’t she be getting home soon? How are you going to explain this to her?”

“I don’t know, man; I didn’t think he would be out for this long.”

“We should just call someone, he could be seriously hurt.” Joji says, nervously rubbing his hands together. “This is all my fault...”

“How?” Sōji asks. “He fell because of my skateboard.”

“Mic is entomophobic.” Kenji says bluntly. “He’s terrified of bugs, I totally forgot about that.”

Joji cries softly and pulls his hood completely over his face, curling up into a ball on the floor.

“Hey, don’t beat yourself up; This is just as much as my fault.” Sōji sighs, turning to look at the blonde laying behind him. He’s still completely out of it and hasn’t shown any signs of waking up anytime soon. “Kenji, I really think we should call an ambulance; Even if we do get into trouble, we’ll be in even more trouble if we don’t do anything. He could be a coma from hitting his head so hard.”

Kenji’s hair starts glowing rapidly from frustration and let’s out a breath, silently nodding as he reaches for his phone.

“What do I even say?” He asks, dialing the emergency number.

“The truth, that there was a accident and Mic is unconscious.” Sōji tells him, turning to look behind him on the bed when he feels Mic stir. He turns around to face the hero, shaking his shoulder to try to wake him and sees his eyes move behind his eyelids, making a face of pain before opening an eyes.

“Nggh.” Mic reaches up to touch his head. Kenji gives them a glance before leaving the room to make the call.

“Mic?” Sōji asks, sitting back when the hero gathers his senses and looks around the room in confusion. “We’re calling for an ambulance, just stay still. You hit your head really hard.”

“Where am I?” He asks, noticing his speaker laying on the table beside the bed and quickly reaches up to his throat.

“At our friends house and we took it off in case it was hurting you.” Sōji explains, rubbing his arm. “We didn’t think it would be safe to keep you out in the open.”

“What time is it?” The hero asks, rolling over onto his side, pressing his hand against his forehead; Mist be having a killer head ache.

“It’s a little past when your show it supposed to start, they’ve been just playing music.” Joji says softly, keeping his head down.

“...”

“Joji, could you go grab some headache pills from the bathroom?” Sōji asks, giving his friend a sympathetic look so the boy gets up and quickly leaves the room before the hero can get a good look at him. “I’m sorry for what happened but it’s not Joji’s fault, he has a bug quirk and had no idea that you were afraid of bugs...it was my skateboard you fell from so if any of us get into trouble, it should be me-“

“None of you are going to get into trouble.” Mic says as he sits up, still rubbing his head. “It’s my fault for reacting the way I did; If anyone is to blame, it’s mine.”

“But you got hurt and we...didn’t call for ambulance right away.”

“You’re just kids and got scared, it was a lapse in judgement; you’ll learn from this.” Mic smiles, taking his hand from his head to pat the teen on the shoulder. “You’re still young and will learn from your mistakes.”

“Thanks-“

“Who are you and how did you get into my house?!” They both hear Kenji shout from outside the bedroom, Mic and Sōji turn to look at the door and hears heavy footsteps coming down the hallway.

Was it a villain?

Mic turns on the bed and gets up with caution, watching the doorway as it comes open and Kenji stumbling into the room. One glance at who was behind him and Mic seemed to relax.

“Eraserhead, how did you get here so fast?” Mic chuckles, lowering his fists and gives the other man a smile as he enters the room.

“When the studio reported that you didn’t show up to your agency, I came looking.” He said, glancing at the two kids before returning his attention back to the other hero. “I found out the address through dispatch and I came straight here.”

Mic gives him a soft smile, followed by a wince and sits back down on the edge of the bed with the teen.

“The ambulance is here and so is your mom, she’s freaking out-“ Joji stops in the doorway when he sees the other hero. “Who’s this?”

“He’s my friend.” Mic says with a reassuring smile and motions for the boy to come closer so Joji does with a little hesitation. “I’m not mad, I just want to say I’m sorry for being startled earlier.”

“I’m sorry for scaring you...”

“It’s not your fault, you’re a good kid.” Mic gives him a thumbs up and leans forward a bit to see his face. “It’s my fault for reacting the way I did.”

“We should get you to the ambulance.” Eraserhead says, reaching for the other to help him to his feet. “If we’re quick enough, maybe you can make it back in time to go to your show.”

Mic lets out a huff as he gets back to his feet, grabbing his speaker on the way out but glances back at the kids and gives him a big smile as they last through the door.

“I want to know what exactly happened on the way to the hospital.” Eraserhead tells him, seeing the paramedics speaking to one of the teen’s mother as another one rushes over to meet them.

“I’ll just tell you when we get home, my head is killing me.”
