i’ve got my calculus III class today and i’m stupidly excited for it. the class is 75% full, run by one of the most chill professors (sent a welcome email that basically just said “hey don’t worry about anything ever. peace”), and also the most advanced calc class that the university offers.

In celebration of @thebreakfastgenie having a birthday, the request ahs come in for "anything from" the early 2000s. This was an exceptional period of time for Barbies, featuring such delights as the controversial Happy Family pregnant Midge, and the pop culture collection featuring Faye Wray in King Kong.

But more than that - there are some great playsets from around this time featuring both Barbie and her younger sister Kelly.

For example, one I find personally very charming is Mother Goose Barbie.

Which in addition to the two dolls, also had a storybook, a goose and a pig. (Are there pigs in the Mother Goose canon? Or perhaps Mother Goose was telling a story about a pig? I don't actually know.)

Barbie & Kelly Art Teacher also featured additional items - paints and rubbing plates (including, yes, the Barbie logo) so the kids playing with Barbie can learn just as Kelly does.

Kids love re-enacting things from their real life as well, so naturally there's also a Barbie and Kelly grocery shopping doll, featuring Kelly sitting in the baby seat of a shopping cart.

And why not relax after a long day of sibling bonding with Sleepover Girls, a playset featuring Barbie and Kelly tucking in with a bottle of generic cola and a bucket of popcorn. (And featuring sleeping bags for them to tuck in together afterwards!)

In particular I love Kelly's pink dressing gown. I think she's adorable.

All these just from 2002 - there's plenty more from the era in surrounding years.

he's always goofing around and trying to have fun

he needs pam to design some flyers for friday's game, or his pen ran out of ink (he uses a laptop)

the pictures of the pranks always get put in the yearbook too (it's like a special section)

shes so sweet.

all of her lessons are really well thought out and passionate

she loves teaching about claude monet and impressionism

shes doing art with the kids too

michael is always taking her finished pieces to hang up somewhere

shes also a volleyball coach !!! so shes constantly going to the gymnasium to make sure theres enough equipment or to check on the players in gym class

shes really there to see jim (but thats besides the point)

she's apart of phyllis' book club (yes phyllis has a book club)

all of her students ask if she and jim are going to date/are dating

'you guys are aware i'm engaged right?'

anytime roy visits shes always stressed afterwards

jim brings her lunch !!!

shes so sweet and understanding omg

when a student needs something to fidget with she just steals a toy from michaels office

has a yoga club after school (michael is always there)

her office is so cozy and lighthearted

shes super close with all the teachers too

very inclusive !!! she has an assembly every month for different cultures and information about different heritages

he takes his job super seriously and is a little strict

but everyone still loves him and respects him a lot

no matter how strict he is, he cannot stop gossiping with all the students

his classroom is so boring though, super bland

but has her fun moments

she noticed how some teachers left out bowls of candy, so she did the same thing, but with mints

advocated for class pets, but kept getting shut down

when asked her opinion about other teachers it's usually negative, but when it comes to dwight it's always slightly positive

phyllis lapin-vance: mrs. vance

gets called mrs. vance refrigeration a lot

doesnt talk too much

always asking for help with her computer

her lessons are short and sweet

has a candle burning during class

but it's like a grandma smell

everyone loves watching her and bob

they're so sweet together !!!

she runs a small book club with teachers and students after school

loves when they all choose mystery books to read

she tries to teach different books every year

her classroom is right next to angela's and that can lead to some unpleasantness

most of her lessons are just rants, but theyre educational !!!

loves working with everyone in her class

omg hes so mysterious and cool and no one knows anything about him

the lunch ladies are always complaining about food going missing and then creed will talk about how much he likes that food

jack and crutchie living in a crappy apartment together once they age out of the lodging house. jack still working as a cartoonist for the world but getting some other art gigs on the side. crutchie finding any job he can get to save up so he can go to school to become a teacher (probably elementary level).

crutchie becoming a teacher and him and jack pseudo-adopting one of his students when they find out hes been living on the streets.

all three of them visiting the newsies lodging house once a month to bring them anything they dont need (blankets, clothes, canned food, etc...)

The stampler-marlowe family

So since willy stampler is the dance teacher here this family will have the most history with the studio. I think Ron never got to go to the studio but willy talked about his students more nicely compared to him and so he thought that willy is a good teacher and that all students over there become amazing.

When he marries Samantha, he sees that Terry had a love for Broadway so he's like my dad may not be the best dad but the way he talked abt his students to me makes me believe he's a good dance teacher. Terrys like ya you need dance to be on Broadway. Terry went to willys studio for a few months and then later they quit bcuz the family realised he sucks in every way and stuck to school theatre

Now this is the present era:

Scary is already a student in the studio b4 Terry is in the picture and is the favourite. When Terry gets in the picture and starts showing up to pick her up, drop her off or competitions and stuff, willy comments on Terry to scary and is like don't let him get you to quit dance like he did. And that unlike Terry she should fulfil her potential and to see him as the enemy. This causes tension b/w scary and Terry and Terry is trying to mend it by trying to explain his side and then later by trying to get to willys good side to prove that he wants to make her happy. Veronica is like oh shit maybe you taking over the dance side of her life will help this.

Anyways during the period of the reality tv show this leads to fights b/w Terry and Willy and like slowly Scary starts seeing like the true colours of willy as she starts seeing this and willys treatment towards her friends becoming worse. She gets enough fame from this bs to start her band after she leaves at s6.
