Kaveh's father's name HC

With Kaveh's hangout now fully confirming that his mother's name is Faranak, my friend Saqi mentioned that it's likely that his father's name was Abtin.

Both Kaveh and Faranak are characters mentioned in Shahnameh (The Book of Kings). Kaveh is based on Kaveh the Blacksmith, while Faranak is the mother of Fereydun, who revolted against the tyrannical king, Zahāk alongside Kaveh.

Faranak was married to Abtin, and although they are not the parents of Kaveh the blacksmith, the inspiration most likely comes from there.

So here's the thing. Kaveh's hangout released and while I haven't done it yet, I keep seeing a clip in tiktok after tiktok where he goes to the library to look for some old textbooks he annotated only to find Alhaitham saying that some students complained about his annotations being too long and unnecessary

Kaveh says smth along the lines that his notes were incredibly necessary and had thorough analysis, and as a scholar who frequently makes high grades, the thing is that he is likely correct and his shit was relevant.

One of the more common things in higher education is that honor students get very overwhelmed with work and/or egotistical about their own capabilities, leading to students who just want the answers to the work and no engaging conversations about the subject. This isn't to complain or belittle other scholars, it's more of a critique of how we understand academic excellence and performance.

So once again, Kaveh has done his best to help and support his underclassmen and the people around him to bring them to his same understanding, only for these same people to disregard his intellect as "too much."

This really stands out to me, because I can't tell you how many times I left notes in textbooks hoping to help students that would later do the same assignments, did my peers hw notes, wrote out flash cards for a study group, and overall did way more work than necessary bc I wanted everyone to thoroughly understand the material and pass the exam.

It's disheartening to be called the best and brightest and then scorned for trying to bring others up to your same place. Poor Kaveh, with a heart too big for his chest and too much love to hold.

Enjoyed Kaveh's hangout quite a lot! All of its routes felt like story quests and far less like one-off stuff. The Sumeru cast really got the best treatment out of all the characters when it came to hangouts and I really hope the future ones hold up!

P.S. Kaveh I will build you after Kaeya and Rosaria I promise

i just. this entire monologue. omg. i’m so normal.

and tbh? i mentioned this in some tags earlier i think but kaveh has big anemo boy energy. i think dendro suits him quite well but between his personality and backstory he kind of has anemo vibes:

dead loved ones (his dad and probably his mom, i haven’t gotten all the endings yet so i dont know)

into the arts (architecture)

pretty boy

hair gradient

strong personal beliefs

some of these aren’t strong enough to qualify him as a true honorary anemo boy but i just drew a lot of parallels while playing this route.

also i think traveler and kaveh being friends is cute, i like their dynamic a lot. might add onto this with stuff from other routes later, so keep an eye out for me being insane again~

Kaveh is so cute. Like, I mean really the type of cute which you wanna protect, hug and help him when he is sad/depressed. He was cute in the last event but in his hangout he is it too. 

I don´t rush. I wanna read everyday a new part of his hangout, so today I´ve finished the second ending and his passion for architecture is so amazing. But also the fact that he calls us a friend and wants to show us his favourite places. And when he said that when we are in a bad mood too, we can come to his favourite places too, I´ve lost it. Like he doesn´t feel good but he never loses his helpful site. 

And this is why I say: Kaveh is cute. 

So he deserves the best and I hope hoyoverse will give him one day a story in which he will build a new wonderful building. Because a little funny fact here: Every place he has built or designed, is my favourite place too. Especially the palace and I really wanna visit the inner section.

so i just played through Cyno's story quest it was great, just wanted to share some of the Nahida dialogue that i caught

I honestly feel like these are really important lines and I'm surprised they are locked behind Nahida

this was just funny to me. some haikavehass behaviour tbh (except they were like so chill in this quest they didn't even argue once)

Minor Kaveh Hangout Spoilers

I’ll repeat that one:

“Loving something also means taking it to heart [...] caring is also a source of pain.”

This is in response to us asking about why he gets so angry about his designs. And I don’t want to point out Kavetham where it doesn’t exist but, come on, Alhaitham is the only person to frustrate Kaveh this much and... Kaveh himself concedes that you get most upset about the things you truly love?

Hm. Not beating these allegations.

I haven’t done Kaveh’s Hangout yet (I’ve seen spoilers) but there is something so special about Collei having so many people supporting her.

When we first see her in the manga she has lost so much; her parents, health, freedom and even her trust in people. But slowly over time with the help of not only the Mondstadt gang but also her Sumeru family has she become better.

From a caring master, to doting uncles/mentors and even people like Faruzan who have nothing but kind words for her. It shows that with love and support we can all become our best.
